Denzel Washington Steals the Lakers' Spotlight With a Hug for LeBron James

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:38pm

Denzel Washington is such a baller. On and off the court. Case in point: the brilliant show of affection he and LeBron James shared courtside last night.

The interaction, which was caught on video by a fan, began with the Training Day actor leaving his courtside seat and walking across the baseline of the court as the Lakers were warming up for their matchup against the 76ers at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Making his way over to James, who was derobing on the Lakers' bench, Washington ignored cheers from the video’s filmer -- “Let’s go, Denzel!” -- and beelined over to James. Once the actor reached the basketball superstar, he held out his hand for a shake, then the two embraced, and they became just two kings showing each other some love.

LOL I was like where is Denzel going 😭 @KingJames pic.twitter.com/gYPln2XQdK

— Asaad (@asaadkamal) February 6, 2026

Sure enough, the video quickly went viral.

The encounter was brief, with the two sharing a few words, before Washington turns and starts the return to his seat. But the display of respect lives on. Fans still can't get enough of the scene.

Per Newsweek, one X commenter said, "Only Denzel can do some s*** like this lol!!" with another posting, "That had to have been planned.. who can just walk up to bron like that?" Another commenter focused on the love, posting, "Denzel still showing love like it's 2010. Real ones recognize real ones."

Lakers fans had plenty to cheer about as James led his team to a 119–115 victory, per the New York Post — and moviegoers have reason to celebrate, too, with Washington’s next big move coming in the form of Black Panther 3.

Colton Underwood on That Michael Rappaport Comment and 'Traitors' Fan Reaction: 'I Am Proud of How I Showed Up' (Exclusive)

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:33pm

The Traitors Season 4 has arrived! Throughout the season, Mike Bloom will speak with someone from the star-studded cast who was murdered or banished on the iconic Peacock reality series.

I'm not sure if you've heard this before, but Colton Underwood used to be a football player. And when it came to The Traitors, the bloom hadn't fallen far off the rose for the former Bachelor. Firmly in the competition mindset, the past linebacker put himself on more of the offensive line this season, setting himself up as one of the most vocal "Traitor hunters." He came out swinging fairly instantaneously, clocking how Donna Kelce was a "Blank Space" when it came to conversations. And so Colton treated the Round Table like the gridiron, helping lead the charge to bring heat on, and eventually successfully banish, "America's Mom."

When Donna was revealed to be a Traitor, Colton immediately put on his cape (literally), jumping into pole position for the much-sought-after "Faithful of the Faithful" role. His next play, however, was for a loss. Feeling Tiffany Mitchell was suitably tactical to be operating things in the turret, he went after. Assisted by the "magic ears" of Eric Nam, the Faithful once again followed suit, only this time, it was a massive miss. Not only was Colton's assessment wrong, but some in the castle began suspecting he could be a Traitor himself for his lack of restraint and ability to influence hearts and minds. One of the most vocal believers was Michael Rapaport, who controversially declared at the Round Table that "conniving, colluding Colton" was the best among them at keeping a secret. Believing the comment to be a reference to his sexuality, Colton and the rest of the cast were taken aback, as people began commiserating around him.

Despite the sympathy coming from Michael's "low blow," that did not get many off the theory that Colton was a Traitor. Nor did it deter Colton himself from picking his next target: Lisa Rinna. He had been suspicious of her since her vote for fellow Housewife Porsha Williams, and thought she was not behaving characteristically of the "legend" he's heard about. And so he took one of the biggest risks of the season, pulling her aside and making her a quid pro quo: "I will protect you at the Round Table if you protect me in the turret." When she blanched at the insinuation, it gave him the permission to give plenty of lip service to his suspicions. And when Yam Yam Arocho's final words at the "Black Banquet" put the blame squarely on Lisa, he was thrilled that it not only got everyone on his side, but that, yet again, he was proven right.

In a previous Round Table, Colton coldly told Lisa, "I'll take us both down just to get you out." And indeed, that prophecy would come to fruition. In what would be his final night in the game, he told his closest ally Rob Rausch that he was suspicious of Candiace Dillard Bassett due to her "throwaway vote" that day. He had no idea that Rob himself was a Traitor, and that he would abdicate his position to allow Candiace to murder him. In the most shocking elimination of the season, Colton was finally taken out for being too much of a threat. But his spirit still lived on, as Candiace incidentally signed her own death warrant in murdering him.

Now out of the game, Colton talks with Parade about her reaction to Rob being a Traitor, the tactics behind his aggressive gameplay, and whether he would have truly honored the deal he proposed to Lisa

Related: Everything to Know About The Traitors Season 4

Before we talk about the drive you put together on The Traitors, let's talk about what got you onto the field in the first place. Were you a fan of the show? What was your reaction when you were asked to play?
I mean, yeah, I'm a fan of the show for sure. Previous seasons just didn't work with my schedule, and this season did. And I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and this was the cast that I was meant to compete with and I was meant to work with. And I had such a blast. And, although I am murdered, I am very excited to watch the show as a fan now and not have to worry about the intensity with which I brought to compete on the show.

I want to talk about that. Because you at one point admitted you were playing more aggressively than you thought, saying, "If I'm gonna go out, I'm not gonna go out like a bitch." Did you realistically think you had a shot of making it to the end, though, considering how big and bold your style was?
I mean, one, I'm very proud of the way that I played the game. I think even watching it back, I am proud of the way that I showed up. I realized in these last two episodes that the only way for me to get to the endgame was to get recruited. So I had to try to do something different, because my gameplay was so bold and so loud that it put a massive target on my back. So I think I had that realization. But, overall, I am really proud of how I showed up to compete on The Traitors.

You start that bold gameplay right off the bat by getting the group onto Donna, which ends up being a right read. But you follow it up by then going after Tiffany, which is a major miss. What made you go after her so adamantly, and what was your reaction when you got it so wrong?
I mean, of course, you have a little bit of confidence after you get one. For sure, I think my strategy and my gameplay was, if I'm going to go for somebody, I have to be full steam ahead with confidence, with conviction, whether I'm right or wrong. And I don't want the other people to sort of see me waiver. So how I went after Donna, how I went after Lisa, how I went after Tiffany, how I was planning on going after Candiace, that just with full conviction and full steam ahead.

And I now know I made a mistake. I missed, and I was wrong. And, unfortunately, while the game is called Traitors, and it is Faithful versus Traitors, it is an individual game. Every day, somebody gets banished, somebody gets murdered. My goal in my game was to not be banished and not be murdered. And unfortunately, it's collateral damage, right? And that's what happened with the Tiffany of it all.

So when you hear Kristen talk about you reverse engineering people's answers to get what you want, or Johnny accusing you of "muddying the waters" and making him feel like a puppet, did that surprise you? What was your reaction to being suspected as a Traitor?
In fact, I sort of enjoyed being suspected. I think it does help take some pressure off of you from being murdered, because you can be used, and you could use that to your advantage strategically. I think what I would say is, yes, I was really good at what they called "whipping the votes." Just making sure everybody was on the same page, sort of controlling that element of the castle. And I was good at it. And I do think that also put a target on my back, because when we missed, it came back on me. I didn't mind the pressure. I knew that I could hold my own at any Round Table.

But that's the name of the game. Obviously, when Tiffany went out, she named three wrong Traitors. And Johnny was convinced in last night's episode that I was a Traitor And when I didn't walk through that those doors, they were like, "Oh my gosh, I'm so wrong in this." So I think that is the game. And I think when the audience watches it, they have all the pieces of the puzzle. We don't while we're playing. And so I think it's really easy for people to watch the game and be like, "Oh, you're so dumb." That's not it's not as easy as you think.

Of course, I'd be remiss not to bring up the comment being made at what ended up being Michael Rappaport's final Round Table about your ability to keep a secret, and the insinuation he was referring to your sexuality. Talk to me about your reaction. Did you feel like you were taken out of the game in that moment? And where do the two of you stand now?
When I show up to Round Tables, I always try to bring evidence from the game, what happened in the missions, what happened in the castle. And I felt like his comment was sort of a low blow. It was outside of the scope of the game, in my opinion. I don't think Michael Rappaport is a homophobe. I don't think he meant ill will against it. I think he talks really fast. He puts his foot in his mouth. I grew up with lots of Michael Rappaports in locker rooms. And we FaceTimed after production, in which we both sort of buried this. We moved on. And I know fans, they're gonna have questions. They're gonna wanna see if he's at the reunion, if I am. We can discuss it then. But yeah, we had a private conversation. And I'm the last person to hold grudges or any ill will towards people. People make mistakes, they learn, and we move forward with life.

Let's talk about Lisa. You approach her offering a deal: "I will protect you at the Round Table if you protect me in the turret."If she had said yes, did you intend to honor that deal? Or were you just trying to fish information out of her?
That strategy for me, which I still stand by, I think it was a great gameplay for me, because I had it out either way. Rob knew I was making that ultimatum. So it wasn't just a blind one-on-one; there were other people who knew that I was going about that. So it would have been interesting to see how that played out.

I think that's what's brilliant about Traitors, right? The hypotheticals of what could happen here if she did want to play ball, how was that going to play out? Was I just going to turn on her immediately? Was I going to catch her in a lie, or was I going to sort of buddy up with her and Rob and just hope that I could be recruited one day? I just thought it was different. You watch all these seasons and how Faithfuls go after Traitors and vice versa. I hadn't seen it done before, and I was like, "I want to just try this." And maybe I'm completely wrong. Maybe I look like an idiot if she isn't a Traitor. But here we are.

You mention Rob. From our perspective, he was your number one ally in the game. Talk to me more about your relationship. And what was your reaction when you found out he was a Traitor?
Rob was a slow burn for me. He was very quiet. He was very reserved. I didn't really understand his gameplay at the beginning. But then we got closer and we understood. And, weirdly, I feel like Rob and I are cut from the same cloth. We have a lot of similarities. He's a very complex person as well. And also, he's a very good game player. I think his strategy and his move even to murder me and let [Candiace] do it was brilliant. He was holding on to his cards, and he played them perfectly. I think that Rob is one of the best Traitors that I've ever seen play the game.

You've been vocal about the reception you've received from fans throughout your time on The Traitors. What has been your response to that response? Has it affected the way you view your experience at all?
Filming The Traitors and doing this show was my favorite show I think I've ever done. I had such a fun time shooting it. I had such a fun time competing in it. And I think I understand a little bit where some of the fans are coming from that maybe haven't followed me over the last five or six years. If they just watched my Bachelor season and then they just caught back up with me on Traitors that it could be a little jarring and be like, "Who is this person?" So I do have that understanding.

I have no interest in going tit for tat on some of the videos and comments that I've seen of what people are saying about me. I will say that a lot of them lack context. A lot of them are also just inaccurate and not the truth of what was going on in that situation. And then also just understanding that that was such a dark time in my life, that I was going through something, dealing with threats, blackmail, pressure that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. And I just would hope that people would not want to view me through the lens of my darkest, worst moments for the rest of my life and my career.

Finally, who from the shows you've been on in the past do you want to see in the castle in a future season of The Traitors?
Great question. I just worked with Katilyn Bristowe on a show with Hulu. I think Kaitlin would be a fantastic addition to the Traitors family. You know, I think maybe some of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives [cast]; that franchise has yet to be tapped for The Traitors. I also love the traditional shows. Gordon Ramsay would be a really fun addition to shake the house up.

Sam Neill Details Horrific 'Jurassic Park' Hurricane: 'Closest We Actually Came to Death'

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:31pm

Nowadays, it's easy to credit Jurassic Parkas one of the most significant cinematic achievements in the latter days of the 20th century.

Effortlessly adapting Michael Crichton's best-selling book for the big screen, Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park also proved a landmark film for the exploration of CGI in mainstream movies, influencing countless movies that followed in its wake.

At the time of its initial production, however, the movie endured its fair share of logistical challenges and setbacks, including a massive hurricane that upended filming in September 1992.

As actor Sam Neill recently told Entertainment Weekly, Jurassic Park's production was briefly halted by the arrival of Hurricane Iniki in Hawaii, where the film was currently locked in filming.

"We'd been working in Hawaii for a week or 10 days, and we went down to report for duty at 6:30 in the morning or whatever it is," the 78-year-old actor said. "And they said, 'We're not going to work today... There's a hurricane coming.'"

As the cast and crew readied themselves for the hurricane's landfall, Neill remembered a brief conversation he shared with co-star Laura Dern about the hurricane's imminent impact.

"Laura and I went down to the beach, and she said, 'Do you think we might die today?' And I said, 'I think that's entirely possible,'" the Alan Grant actor said.

"Because it traveled very fast, it wasn't a very damaging hurricane, but it did a lot of damage when it was right over the top of us," Neill said. "It destroyed our sets, and it meant we had to travel back to L.A. in two or three days when a plane could actually land — 'cause the airport was covered in dead trees and things."

To this day, Neill said that very few events in his life have compared to the hurricane's fierce path, maintaining that every other disaster he's been through pales in comparison.

"I've been through a few semi-disasters on films, but that's the closest we actually came to death," the actor concluded.

My Chef-Husband’s French Dip Sliders Will Be the MVP of Your Super Bowl Snack Spread

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:31pm

When it comes to the biggest runway in sports—the Super Bowl halftime show—I’m really just there for the musical act…and the food. Okay, and the commercials. (Cue me crying over a bald eagle soaring to “Free Bird” for absolutely no logical reason.)

On the game-day food front, I'm lucky that my chef-husband and football fan, Luke, takes the snack spread as seriously as the game itself. And according to him, the secret to winning Super Bowl food isn’t complicated recipes or fancy plating—it’s perfect, handheld bites made for dunking, grazing and going back for seconds (and thirds).

His current football snack MVP? Sliders, but not just any sliders. Instead of going the classic mini burger route, Luke mixes things up by making French dip sliders. These wee sandwiches are inspired by his go-to restaurant version of the classic hot beef sandwich that they serve at Hillstone's.

"Sliders have become synonymous with game day alongside wings and dips," he tells me, while grabbing all of the ingredients he needs to make the sandwiches. "These French dip sliders show some steakhouse flair and can easily upstage a cheeseburger slider."

Those are bold words, but these savory, meaty, cheesy, bite-size snacks live up to the hype—and they're easy enough for a non-chef to whip up at home. I tagged along with him in the kitchen and took some notes so you can make these super sliders for your crowd.

First things first: proper slider buns. Luke really leaned into the French theme and opted for these super soft French brioche dinner rolls, which he tells me are the perfect handheld size. Super Bowl snacks shouldn't involve forks and knives after all.

Not only are they small enough for biting and dipping while keeping your eyes on the game, but buttery, slightly sweet brioche is the perfect pairing for the savory beef. The super tender rolls also do a great job absorbing the jus.

After the buns, he grabs a leftover sirloin tip roast from dinner the night before (but you can use shaved roast beef or any leftover roast or steak you have), a huge wedge of Gruyère cheese, chicken stock, a tub of ghee, a cup of concentrated beef stock, mini pickles and his secret weapon: Minor's beef base.

"It’s the only time I would ever condone using a product like this; the flavor is classic and difficult to replicate from scratch," he tells me when I question the need for this mystery ingredient.

Last but not least, he grabs some quality horseradish. Luke's partial to Inglehoffer's thick and creamy version, which is made with hot, grated horseradish roots and can easily be found at many grocery stores and on Amazon. The zingy spread cuts through the richness of the meat and brings all the flavors together.

How To Make French Dip Sliders, According to My Chef-Husband

Luke keeps the process simple—because, as he reminds me, “Super Bowl food should be easy to eat and even easier to make.”

He starts by bringing chicken stock to a gentle simmer and whisking in the beef concentrate before lowering the heat to keep everything warm and rich without over-reducing.

Meanwhile, the slider buns get sliced in half lengthwise (if they aren’t already) and toasted in the ghee until golden and just crisp around the edges. “You want enough structure for dipping, but they should still be soft in the center,” he explains.

Luke likes to use ghee (clarified butter) for toasting the buns because it doesn't burn as easily as butter, but you can toast the rolls in butter or oil, if you don't have ghee at home.

Courtesy Kelli Acciardo Venner

Next comes the magic: paper-thin shaved beef slips straight into the hot au jus so it warms through without drying out. Then it’s assembly time.

Each toasted bun gets a dollop of horseradish sauce, a couple slices of the warm roast beef and a slice of Gruyère.

Once the sliders are assembled, they head into a 300°F oven for a few minutes—just long enough to melt the cheese into gooey perfection. “Don’t overthink it,” Luke says. “You’re just marrying the flavors.”

And just when I thought things couldn’t get better, I watched him reach for a jar of mini cornichons.

“Ohhhh, yay,” I squealed.

“What can I say? My wife likes pickles,” Luke laughs, spearing one with a toothpick and adding one to the top of each slider.

Courtesy Kelli Acciardo Venner

“Whenever I can work them into the menu, it’s a bonus.”

I'm not gonna argue there.

The remaining jus goes into a serving bowl, with the sliders arranged around it for easy dunking—because it's not a French dip without the dipping.

My Honest Thoughts About These Sliders

I've always stared in amazement at my husband devouring his favorite Hillstone dish—the French dip—soaking up that little bowl of jus with the crusty bread sandwich and pondered: Should I have ordered that too?!

Truth be told, this was my first French dip, and I'm mighty glad it was in slider form. See, I despise big sandwiches. Burgers, wraps, you name it, I much prefer a kids' size or a slider version because they're easier to eat and less messy and I can never finish an entire burger anyway, and am pretty sure the same would be the case for a French dip. Hillstone's is huge!

One bite of this glorious little sammie and I was hooked.

Kelli Acciardo Venner

The melty Gruyère, the kicked-up horseradish, the juicy shaved meat, all packed onto perfectly toasted brioche. Given that I'm a pickle girlie through and through, that topping was my favorite part, and I even stole Luke's to enjoy with the rest of my slider.

Kelli Acciardo Venner

Honestly, the whole thing was delish even before I got to the jus, but once I dunked the sandwich in the meaty sauce, it was a million times better. The roll absorbed just enough of the savory juices, making it tender and moist and super flavorful.

3 Tips for Making French Dip Sliders1. Switch up your buns

Can't find brioche? Luke likes Martin's Potato Hawaiian Rolls just as much. You could also get creative and switch out the buns for biscuits or cornbread muffins.

2. Make the sides mini, too

Luke's answer to the slider side conundrum is mini fries, of course! "Try making shoestring fries that can be prepared ahead of time and portioned into little cups," he suggests. If that's too much, you could also pop some tater tots in the oven, which are always a hit.

3. Mix things up

If you really want to impress your crew, don't just stop at French dip sliders. Add even more options to the spread, like Luke's personal favorite, green chile cheeseburger sliders, or smoked brisket sliders with pickled onions. “These have become staples for me, but I also love hot chicken, pulled pork and blackened fish,'" he says, but reminds us that there's really no limit when it comes to sliders. "Just take your favorite hot sandwich and make it miniature!”

'I’m a Cleveland Clinic Cardiac Surgeon—Here’s Everything I Eat in a Day for a Healthier Heart'

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:25pm

Diet is often billed as a tool to help you look a certain way on the outside. In truth, it's a critical piece for helping your body function well from the inside out, so you can enjoy a life you love. Dr. Xiaoying Lou, MD, a cardiac and aortic surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic, understands the vital role diet plays in heart health.

"Diet is one of the most important things you can control to protect your heart and decrease your risks of developing heart attacks or strokes," Dr. Lou tells Parade. "What you eat can directly impact cholesterol, blood pressure and inflammation that leads to the buildup of plaque in the arteries and the valves of your heart."

For many people, the biggest barrier to eating for heart health isn’t knowledge. it’s time, access and overwhelm. Heart-supportive eating doesn’t require complicated meal plans or expensive specialty foods. Research consistently shows that focusing on whole, minimally processed foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds and lean proteins can support cardiovascular function. Small, sustainable shifts—like cooking at home more often, prioritizing fiber-rich foods and limiting added sugars and ultra-processed options—can help improve cholesterol levels, stabilize blood pressure and support long-term heart health without drastically changing daily routines for everyone.

Dr. Lou also knows firsthand how hectic life can get with work and family obligations, but she's found ways to make a heart-friendly diet more time-friendly. And she's not gatekeeping. Here's how a Cleveland Clinic cardiac surgeon eats for better heart health.

"A heart-healthy diet provides essential nutrients that can control the risk factors that lead to heart disease, as well as help with weight management and gut health, to reduce your risks of developing other chronic diseases," she says.

That's why Dr. Lou looks for unprocessed foods with plenty of:

  • Antioxidants (berries) because they're "anti-inflammatory, neutralize harmful free radicals and reduce oxidative stress to slow the buildup of plaque and improve circulation and overall blood vessel health."
  • Fiber (whole grains, oats and veggies) to lower bad (LDL) cholesterol and blood pressure, stabilize blood sugar and hunger levels and manage weight.
  • Probiotics (yogurt, kefir and fermented foods) to support the gut microbiome. "More and more data suggest this is important for everything from mental health to immune support and prevents chronic disease," Dr. Lou says.
  • Protein (beans, lean meats) for fullness and weight management.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids (fish, avocados, chia seeds and hemp seeds) to aid in cholesterol management.

Dr. Lou says she limits highly processed foods and fake sugars, such as:

  • Processed meats
  • Sugary beverages like sodas/energy drinks
  • Processed store-bought boxed cookies/baked goods
  • Heavily fried foods
  • Alcohol

"These are all foods that can increase inflammation, spike blood sugar, promote the buildup of bad cholesterol and raise blood pressure, contributing to heart disease," Dr. Lou states.
For the sake of convenience and time, it’s not always possible to avoid all processed foods, but I focus on foods with natural ingredients and as few preservatives as possible."

What a Cardiac Surgeon Eats Every Day for Heart Health

From breakfast to dessert with snacks in between (seriously), here's how a Cleveland Clinic cardiac surgeon eats her way to a healthier heart.

Breakfast

Heart surgeons...they're people too! "To be totally honest, I’m usually running a little behind in the mornings," Dr. Lou admits.

However, she tries to start her day with a high-protein, nutrient-dense breakfast that contains healthy fats to keep her full during a morning in the operating room.

"If I’m really late, I tend to go with a protein shake and a banana," Dr. Lou says. "These are portable, and I can eat on the go. Other options for busy weekday mornings include overnight oats with some fruit or toast with avocado or peanut butter."

On weekends, Dr. Lou pivots to a blissfully slower approach. "I get to take my time and enjoy a nice brunch with my family," she says. "We [sometimes] go out for brunch. I usually get an egg-heavy dish, or we have apple cinnamon oatmeal. Other times, my husband makes a delicious spinach and feta omelet and blueberry pancakes."

Lunch

A sit-down lunch is a luxury for Dr. Lou, who is usually seeing patients when the "bell" rings. She often tides herself over by snacking on nutritious bites throughout the workday. When she does have time for lunch, Dr. Lou finds ways to balance ease with nutrition for heart health.

"I often pack something light, like leftovers from dinner or a whole grain wrap with hummus and veggies, but I don’t always get the chance to eat it," Dr. Lou states. "Getting to head down to the cafeteria is a real treat. I’ll usually pick up a taco bowl, which is a cauliflower rice bowl with chicken and all the veggie toppings.

A Mediterranean bowl with rice, beans, veggies, falafel or chicken is another favorite. What's not on her menu: Energy vampires.

"I try not to eat anything too high in fats or carbohydrates for lunch, as I have to power through the rest of my day, and I can’t be too sluggish from digesting a heavy meal," she says.

Snacks

Snacks are basically the heart of Dr. Lou's diet, and we're not being punny (or are we?). Her busy schedule leaves little time for larger lunches, so she snacks when she can. Grab-and-go snacks often veer toward processed, but Dr. Lou opts for a different approach.

"I prioritize nutrient-dense and high protein and fiber snacks...things that are easy to snack on while I chart or do emails at my desk," Dr. Lou says.

Some things Dr. Lou regularly has on hand include:

  • Bananas
  • Mandarin oranges
  • Cut-up apples with peanut butter
  • Raw veggies (cut up bell peppers, cherry tomatoes and Persian cucumbers)
  • Yogurt cups (generally plain/vanilla)
  • String cheese
  • Fig bars
  • Dried seaweed packs
  • A wide variety of nuts and dried fruits
Dinner

After a day of rounds and surgery (often without lunch), Dr. Lou admits she usually comes home ravenous. She likes to eat around 6 p.m. and close the kitchen by 8 p.m. to avoid heartburn and digestive-related sleep issues.

"We usually don’t have time to make an elaborate meal, so dinner is something that can be prepared quickly with a focus on veggies and a lean protein of some sort," she says.

Some dinners in Dr. Lou's rotation are:

  • Sheet pan roasted vegetables that can be cut up and prepared in advance with a cooked protein of some kind, such as chicken or salmon
  • A stir-fry dish with chicken and vegetables
  • Almond flour quesadillas loaded with beans and veggies
Treats

"I don’t have much of a sweet tooth," Dr. Lou says. TBH, we're jealous. Though she's usually good with fruit for dessert, you'll catch her eating more traditional sweets here and there.

"I do enjoy a good brownie or some ice cream occasionally," she admits. "I also can’t refuse fresh, crispy fries, but I’ll generally order a portion to share, so I don’t eat too much."

Dr. Lou tries not to consider anything off the table and generally counsels her patients to do the same. "If these foods make you happy, I say go for it," she says. "I always tell my patients when they ask about diet recommendations that it really is about moderation. Life is short, don’t completely cut out the foods that bring you joy."

Which Stevie Nicks Lyric Matches You, Based on Birth Month?

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:24pm

Stevie Nicks has always spoken in a way that resonates with people's secret inner feelings and emotional landscapes—their longing, defiance, softness, and strength. Her words feel familiar, as if they express thoughts you've had but never quite articulated. FURTHER: Your Classic Rock Anthem, Based on Your Birth Month

The Stevie Nicks Lyric of Each Birth Month

Birth months are listed. Disregard your birth date.

January - The Quiet Power

"Can I handle the seasons of my life?"

People born in January possess a quiet strength. Whether they are resilient Capricorns or progressive Aquarians, they have navigated through challenges and emerged sharper, wiser, and more steadfast. They don’t seek acknowledgment for their strength; instead, they demonstrate their power by living with endurance and maintaining their balance. Independence is not merely a goal for them; it is an intrinsic part of their identity.

February - The Dreamer

"Dreams unwind, love's a state of mind."

February souls move through life with one foot in reality and the other in imagination. Either an imaginative Aquarius or sensitive Pisces, you romanticize ideas, people, and possibilities, often seeing beauty where others overlook it. Your inner world is rich, emotional, and a little mystical, and you wouldn't trade that sensitivity for anything.

March - The Old Soul

"Time cast a spell on you."

March-born people carry an emotional depth that feels ancient. Whether you're a dreamy Pisces or bold Aries, you're intuitive, empathetic, and naturally tuned in to undercurrents others miss. There's a softness to you, but also wisdom, like you've lived many lives and remember pieces of them.

April - The Leader

"I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might."

April-borns carry restlessness and fire, whether they are a pioneering Aries or a pragmatic Taurus. You're always moving toward something: freedom, truth, a better version of yourself, no matter how many times you have to start over. You hold tight to your highest self and visions.

May - The Communicator

"You can go your own way."

A strong sense of determination can be a powerful trait. Whether you are a sensual Taurus or a communicative Gemini, you don't simply conform to the crowd for the sake of convenience or familiarity. You trust your instincts and pursue what feels right to you, even if it means going your own way for some time.

RELATE?: These 3 Birth Dates Have Deeply Caring Souls

June - The Intuitive

"Thunder only happens when it's raining."

June people understand emotional balance. Joy and sorrow are part of the human experience, and because of this, you feel each emotion deeply, loudly, beautifully, and without apology. Either a dynamic Gemini or a sentimental Cancer, this birth month trusts their inner voice and intuition above all else.

July - The Protector

"I take my love, and I take it down."

July-born people love fiercely and protectively. You guard your heart, but once someone is in, they're in for life. Family, chosen or otherwise, means everything to you, and you'll stand your ground when it comes to the people you care about. Whether you're a nurturing Cancer or a fiery Leo, you take great pride in your life and relationships.

August - The Legend

"Don't be a lady, be a legend."

August-borns aren't meant to blend in. This quote from Stevie Nicks isn't a lyric, but it matches your vibe: bold, magnetic, and unapologetically visible. Confidence isn't arrogance; it's knowing who you are and refusing to dim your light for anyone. People are drawn to your energy and the way you make space for others without shrinking yourself. Either a theatrical Leo or a detail-oriented Virgo, you leave a mark simply by being present, and your presence is unforgettable.

September - The Devoted

"I've been afraid of changes, 'cause I've built my life around you."

September souls love with a quiet, concentrated focus. You hold people close and cherish connections, sometimes longer than is easy or logical. Letting go isn't simple for you, but when it happens, it's done with thoughtfulness and grace. Either a demure Virgo or a diplomatic Libra, you tend to make logical, sound decisions about those you love, and aren't easily swayed once you're dedicated.

October - The Soulful

"When the rain washes you clean, you'll know."

October people understand that life isn't always neat; they can be messy, emotional, and even uncomfortable. Trusting that every ending carries a beginning, that every storm clears the path for something new, you've learned to surrender when necessary. You let life sweep you forward and find beauty in the cycles of change. There's wisdom in the way you release, and courage in the way you keep moving, whether you're a charming Libra or soulful Scorpio.

OTHER: The Painting That Mirrors Your Soul, Based on Your Birth Month

November - The Phoenix

"Just like a white-winged dove."

November-borns experience emotions intensely: love, loss, longing, and transformation. You don't just skim the surface of life; you dive straight into its depths. You've outgrown versions of yourself that once felt permanent, shedding them when they no longer fit. Change can be frightening, but it's also where you find your strength. Whether a mysterious Scorpio or a philosophicalSagittarius, each time you rise again, you do so stronger, wiser, and more authentically yourself.

"Run in the shadows."

In December, those born this month long for freedom, movement, and meaning. You have a restless spirit, always pursuing experiences rather than material possessions. There is a wildness within you, a desire to fully explore life before the year ends. Whether you are an adventurous Sagittarius or an ambitious Capricorn, you remain dedicated to your larger visions and goals for your life journey.

Timothy Busfield’s Lawyer Breaks Silence After Indictment: Case Is ‘Fundamentally Unsound’

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:05pm

Timothy Busfield’s legal team is pushing back aggressively after a New Mexico grand jury indicted the Emmy-winning actor on Friday.

Following the news that the West Wing and thirtysomething star had been formally indicted on four counts of criminal sexual contact of a child, his civil attorney, Stanton “Larry” Stein, issued a defiant statement challenging the validity of the prosecution.

Stein characterized the indictment as an expected but ultimately meritless procedural step. “The indictment was not unexpected. As the saying goes, a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich,” Stein said in a statement provided to Parade on Feb. 6. The attorney went on to criticize the District Attorney’s decision to move forward, arguing that the case against the 68-year-old actor lacks evidentiary support.

“What is deeply concerning is that the District Attorney is choosing to proceed on a case that is fundamentally unsound and cannot be proven at trial,” Stein stated.

Citing ‘Fatal Weaknesses’ in the Evidence

The charges stem from allegations involving two child actors who worked on the set of The Cleaning Lady, a series Busfield directed and acted in. Busfield was previously released on his own recognizance following a detention hearing in January, a proceeding his lawyer claims highlighted significant issues with the state's argument.

“The detention hearing exposed fatal weaknesses in the State’s evidence—gaps that no amount of charging decisions can cure,” Stein said. “This prosecution appears driven by something other than the facts or the law.”

Busfield, who is married to Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert, has denied the allegations. His team has previously suggested the accusations may be retaliatory. Stein concluded his statement by affirming Busfield’s intent to contest the charges vigorously. “Mr. Busfield will fight these charges at every stage and looks forward to testing the State’s case in open court—where evidence matters—not behind closed doors,” Stein said.

The case is expected to proceed to trial in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.

Legendary Singer-Songwriter, 84, Reveals Why He's Refusing to Retire

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:04pm

Despite having a career in show business for almost seven decades, legendary singer-songwriter Paul Ankahas no intentions of retiring.

While speaking to People magazine in February 2026, Anka, now 84, explained why he's not interested in retirement.

“I know what retirement is. I don't want to retire. Let’s say I do 75 days a year. I got the rest of the year to do what the hell I want. I get to write. I got my things. This is so much fun. If you can’t have fun in life or in a job that you’re doing, don’t do it," said Anka in the People interview.

In addition, Anka explained to People that he has made an effort to ensure his career remains fresh.

"[B]eing a writer saved me. You’re always trying to change with the times," said Anka to People. "I mean, [his hit 2005 rock covers album] Rock Swings was [supposed to be] a career destroyer. Everybody kept saying I’m crazy to do it. Everyone thought I would ruin my reputation. And I said, ‘I’ve been swinging for 50 years. You want me to swing again?’ You got to keep on keeping on in life.”

Anka, who is going to tour in March 2026, also said he loves being on stage.

“The moment you’re on there… you’re doing something unlike most things. To see the energy that comes back from all those people… every night is just better than the other. Then I go home, I sit and watch my hockey game. I’ll read. It’s great," said Anka to People.

Paul Anka Discussed the Start of His Career & Writing 'My Way' in a December 2025 Interview

During a December 2025 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Anka discussed beginning his career as a singer-songwriter when he was 15 years old. He explained he traveled from his home in Ontario to visit his uncle in Los Angeles. During the trip, he wrote his song "Blau-Wile-Deveest-Fontaine" and decided to hitch-hike to the record company, Modern Records, in Culver City to show off the track. Anka said that after he sang the song to the record executives, they agreed to have him record "Blau-Wile-Deveest-Fontaine." However, Anka said that the track was considered a failure because "nobody bought it but [his] relatives."

In theJimmy Kimmel Live! interview, Anka spoke about penningFrank Sinatra's song, "My Way," released in 1969, at the age of 25. He shared that he "started working with the Rat Pack in Vegas" and Sinatra would "always tease [him] about writing a song."

Anka said he finally wrote a song for Sinatra after he told him he was planning on retiring from show business after releasing one last album.

"He said, 'I'm quitting show business. I'm retiring. I'm tired. I've had enough. The Rat Pack's over.' He said, 'I'm doing one more album with Don Costa.' Now, that was my producer that I introduced to Mr. Sinatra. He said, 'I'm doing one more album and that's it,'" recalled Anka during the December 2025 interview.

Anka said he began writing the song based on "this melody from France." He then began channeling Sinatra while coming up with the lyrics.

Anka said Sinatra said he wanted to record the song immediately upon listening to it for the first time.

"Two months go by, I get a phone call from Los Angeles. I'm in my apartment in New York. He said, 'Kid, listen to this.' He took a phone, put it next to the speaker. I heard 'My Way' for the first time. I started crying. It was such a hit for him, he stayed 10 more years," said Anka.

'The Pitt:' What on Earth Is a Death Doula?

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:02pm

Doulas have become a fairly common feature in childbirth over the years, stepping in as an additional, non-medical support person for growing families to lean on throughout the act of childbirth and in the time immediately following.

Now, some families are hiring them to assist with the process of dying, too, as depicted on the latest episode of The Pitt. You may recall that Lena, a member of the ER's nightshift, ran into a patient's room in her street clothes in the fifth episode of Season 2, surprising the care team of a hospice patient who was brought in by ambulance after breaking her leg during a seizure following a seven-year cancer battle.

Lena identified herself as "Roxie's death doula," something that confused those in the room even more.

Death Doulas Serve as an Advocate and a Shoulder to Lean on Throughout the End-of-Life Period

“I help advocate for people like Roxie to make their transition to death a more peaceful process," Lena continued. "It’s like a birth doula but for the end of life.”

DONA International, an agency that certifies doulas, compares them to "travel guides in a foreign country," helping families navigate welcoming their newest members, and it feels like a fitting comparison for a doula working on the opposite end of a person's timeline, too.

INELDA, a similar organization specific to death doulas, emphasizes the "personalized and compassionate support" they provide to dying individuals and their families and care teams, "empower[ing] dignity throughout the dying process."

They Help Ensure Individuals Have a 'Good Death'

World-renowned death doula and former hospice nurse Suzanne O’Brien, RN explained in an interview with Parade that a big misconception surrounding death is that it has to be scary or painful. But knowledge is power, and death doulas can help make death "a beautiful transition and experience" by working through it together and helping to navigate obstacles that might get in the way of a "good death."

Practically speaking, that might be by "planning ahead with where you would want to be at the end of life, who you want to care for you, and how you want to be treated."

Emotionally, learning to forgive can be a big roadblock. "Forgiveness of self and forgiveness of others. Reaching a place of understanding and acceptance of all the things that happened in our lives. Forgiveness is the tool to do that and brings about enormous peace at the end of life allowing for a good death," O'Brien said.

Get to Know USA's Figure Skating Team and When They Will Compete During the Winter Olympics

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:01pm

The thrills and chills of figure skating—including the bizarre never-to-be-forgotten Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding drama--have always made fans tune in to the Winter Olympics. But for the Milan 2026 Games, which began on Friday, it’s all about the skills. The U.S. has sent perhaps its most impressive skating team in history!

The squad of 16 includes current world men’s and women’s singles and ice dance champions Ilia Malinin, Alysa Liu, and the married team of Madison Chock and Evan Bates. Others also have a big shot at winning medals. American Nathan Chen won men’s singles gold at the last Olympics in Beijing 2022, and quadruple jump king Malinin looks like he can’t be beaten in this Games. While the U.S. ladies and pairs teams face stiffer international competition, ice dancers Chock and Bates are heavy favorites.

NBC announced the American team on Jan. 11 following the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, and ice-skating enthusiasts praised the picks. Their faith was vindicated right away on day 1 of figure skating on Feb. 6 as America was in first place in the team competition standings.

Read on to get to know Team USA’s full figure skating roster and how to watch the ice stars compete!

Who are the 16 members of Team USA figure skating in the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics?

Here are the athletes hitting the rink at the Milano Ice Skating Arena, their ages, hometowns, and brief bios:

Women’s Singles:

Amber Glenn, 26, from Plano, Texas, won the 2024, 2025, and just-concluded 2026 U.S. nationals. While Glenn had a rough Dec. 2025 Grand Prix, she’s back on top. Glenn hit an emotional high skating to Madonna and besting chief U.S. rivals Alysa Liu and Isabeau Levito at the 2026 nationals. She’s known for her incredibly difficult triple axel. Glenn is openly queer in her personal life.

Alysa Liu, 20, from Oakland, California, became World Champion in 2025, but lost a little mentum by finishing second to Glenn at nationals. Liu retired from ice skating in 2022 after finishing sixth at the Olympics but thrilled fans with a successful comeback in 2024. Her fun personality is reflected in smiley piercings—also known as frenulum piercings—on her two front teeth and a recent dramatic hair change! She’s expected to perform to Donna Summer’s “MacArthur Park” at the Olympics.

Isabeau Levito, 18, from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, only finished third at this year’s nationals but she looks strong for Milan. The 2023 U.S. champ won the silver medal at the 2024 World Championships. The graceful Italian-American beauty has extended family in Milan and will compete there with at least one themed program to reflect her heritage.

Men’s Singles:

Ilia Malinin, 21, from Vienna, Virginia, leads the world with his quadruple jumps, giving him the “Quad God” nickname. His Russian-born ice skater parents have inspired him and Malinin is the four-time U.S national champion (2023-2026) and two-time world champion (2024-2025). In fact, he’s undefeated in every major competition since 2023. Malinin is reportedly focusing so hard on skating that he doesn't have a girlfriend.

Monumental Sports

Andrew Torgashev, 24, from Coral Springs, Florida had a rocky 2025 season but came back big at nationals, finishing second to Malinin. Torgashev’s international record isn’t solid, but he won bronze at the 2024 Grand Prix de France. The half-Ukrainian skater has advocated for Ukraine after the Russian invasion. Torgashev has followed a pizza diet, making him perfect for Milan!

Maxim Naumov, 24, from Norwood, Massachusetts, will be a big tearjerking story at the Winter Olympics as his parents, former Russian pairs skaters Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova, tragically died in the 2025 Washington D.C. plane/helicopter crash. Fans were moved by his emotional performances at the 2026 U.S. Championships, where he won the bronze. Reflecting on his Olympic journey, Naumov said, “To go out there and really share that emotion with everybody has been unreal.”

Ellie Kam and Danny O'Shea

Kam, 21, from Colorado Springs, Colorado, was born in Japan, where her dad served as a surgeon for the U.S. Air Force. She started as a singles skater but switched to pairs and has been happy ever since.

O’Shea, 34, also from Colorado Springs, Colorado, is known for his grit as he competed with Kam at the 2025 World Championships with a broken foot! “I currently have two plates and 11 screws in my foot,” the ice-skating veteran told UC Health. He and Kam became Four Continents bronze medalists and U.S. champions in 2024.

Emily Chan and Spencer Howe

Chan, 28, from Pasadena, Texas has trained in Chinese modern dance and ballet to enhance her skating with Howe. She has reportedly been in a relationship with Estonian singles skater, Aleksandr Selevko, since 2024.

Howe, 29, from Los Angeles, California, and Chan have been three-time U.S. pairs medalists and he’s a soldier while also chasing his Olympic dream. According to U.S. Figure Skating, Howe is currently a Private Second Class (PV2) rank in the U.S. Army. He serves as an 88M Auto Transport Operator, which is part of the transportation logistics team.

Ice Dancers:

Madison ChockandEvan Bates

Chock, 33, from Redondo Beach, California, married Bates in 2024 after they were a longtime team on the ice. Together they’ve won world championships the past three years plus a record seven U.S. national titles. The beauty also has her own clothing line. As Vogue reported, Chock founded a costume design label in 2023 and creates not only her and Bates’ uniforms, but those for other skaters.

Bates, 36, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, began skating at age 4. He told People that he was friends with Chock for ten years before he told her of his love. “I think just going through the highs and lows of skating and the pressure of just trying to always be your best…really brought us together,” he noted. They will now "Paint it Black" at the Olympics!

Emilea Zingas and Vadym Kolesnik

Zingas, 23, from Gosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, is a Cypriot-American ice dancer. “I’m a dual citizen. My whole family are citizens of Cyprus, and my dad was born there,” she explained to A Divine Sport website.

Kolesnik, 24, from Kharkiv, Ukraine, still has family in the war-torn country. Luckily, he moved to the U.S. about nine years ago and has been safely pursing ice dance as an American. He loves fan attention, saying, “Don’t be shy in coming toward us. We would love to take a photo.”

Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko

Carreira, 25, from Saint Clair, Michigan, is originally from Canada. The U.S. got three ice skating picks for the Milan Games, and Carreira and her partner Ponomarenko made the cut. Carreira got her U.S. citizenship just in time to go to Milan!

Ponomarenko, 25, from San Jose, California, won the bronze medal at the 2026 U.S. Championships with Carreira. He’s been skating for 20 years and comes by it naturally, as his parents are 1992 Olympic ice dancing champions Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko.

Jinger Duggar Addresses 'Mystery Grandkids' in Her Family

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:00pm

Jinger Duggar recently addressed the idea that there are "mystery grandkids" in her family, after their show, Counting On, was canceled, and many of her siblings chose to step away from the spotlight.

On Thursday, Feb. 5, the former TLC star took to her Instagram Stories with a Q&A session for her followers.

One follower asked, "Are there any mystery Duggar grandkids?” To that, Jinger, 32, replied, "Ohhhh,” alongside an emoji giving a side-eye.

The fourth-born daughter of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar added, “Maybe there are some that I don’t know about in a family as large as mine?! Haha jk,” with cry-laughing emoji face.

Since TLC canceled Counting On in 2021, a few of Michelle and Jim Bob's kids have shied away from social media completely. Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra Duggar, are one couple, as well as Josiah Duggar and his wife, Lauren Duggar. For this reason, it's unclear how many Duggar grandkids there are (and their names), as they never officially announced the births.

In an August 2025 YouTube video,Jessa Duggar confirmed that her sixth child marked the 39th Duggar grandchild. Since then, Jana Duggar gave birth to a baby boy. Plus, Abbie Duggar is pregnant with her third baby.

Michelle and Jim Bob's 19 kids, in birth order, are: Josh Duggar, Jana, John David Duggar, Jill Duggar, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna Duggar, Jedidiah Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar,Jason Duggar, James Duggar, Justin Duggar, Jackson Duggar, Johannah Duggar, Jennifer Duggar, Jordyn Duggar, and Josie Duggar.

Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes Are Crashing the Winter Olympics – Here’s How to Get In on the Fun

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:00pm

The Winter Olympics just got a cartoon curveball.

As quad-jumper Ilia Malinin, alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, snowboarder Chloe Kim, and the rest of the world’s top-tier athletes descend upon the Boot for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, so, too, are Bugs, Lola, Daffy, Tweety, Taz, and the rest of the Looney Tunes.

According to Warner Bros. Discovery, the classic animated pals are crashing the Games in true looney and chaotic form. They’ll be taking part in wacky antics, on-site activations, Team USA merch, a daily watch party, and so much more.

View this post on Instagram

For those lucky enough to be at the Games IRL, they can visit the Official Olympic Pin Trading Center, taken over by the Looney Tunes and Warner Bros. To find the venue, just look for the massive snowy silhouette of a crashed-out Bugs Bunny positioned directly bedside the Porta Garibaldi arch in Piazza XXV Aprile, Milan.

For those staying warm on their couches and watching the Olympics from home, there’s a way to get in on the fun. In addition to streaming WB Kids' "Sports Made Simple" toons and "Sports Talk With Bugs Bunny" shorts online, there's an an epic social challenge that anyone anywhere can partake in.

For the social campaign, should you come across a silly slip-up of some kind – be it a goof on the slopes, a whoopsie on ice, or any other kind of cold-weather blooper – you’re invited to submit pics for a chance to be featured on the official Looney Tunes social channels (@looneytunes on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook). Of course, don't go making trouble, and stay safe out there.

And stay on the lookout for Bugs, Lola, and the others throughout the Games – rumor has it Bugs will be walking the red carpet today and participating in the Olympic Torch Relay this week. For more information, go to media.wbdsports.com.

That’s all for now, folks.

Tiffany Ervin Explains Her 'Survivor 50' Strategy Shift: 'I Don't Want a Number One Ally'

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 1:00pm

Ironically, artist Tiffany Ervin did not see the bigger picture the last time she played Survivor. Too focused on her friend-turned-foe Q Burdette, she failed to see the target that was amassing around her, culminating in her being one of the many blindsided with an idol in her pocket. Now the 34-year-old is coming into her second chance at the win with a present-focused mindset and a vow of silence when it comes to idols. Tiffany reveals she'll be spending more of the season collecting seashells than number one allies, not wanting to get burned again. But she is certainly playing with fire when it comes to Q, as she wonders whether the two will continue their out-of-game reconciliation, or if history is doomed to repeat itself.

Read on for my interview with Tiffany, and check in with Parade daily for interviews with this season's contestants and other tidbits. Survivor 50 premieres on Feb. 25 with a three-hour episode on CBS.

We're back, Tiffany! It feels like we've never left.
We never left. It's been two years, but we never left.

Well, I want to start by asking how those two years have been? Because I know you made a big move out to the West Coast since 46 finished.
I did! You know what? I've been enjoying my time on the West Coast so much. I was a little nervous at first, but I made so many new friends. And there's nothing that compares to walking your dog and wearing shorts in December. I do not miss the New Jersey weather. I'm sorry, I don't!

As you mentioned, it's only been a couple of years since you were last out here. How much is your approach to this season going to be muscle memory versus a new version of Tiffany?
I think it'll probably be about 75% muscle memory. And then 25% Tiffany 2.0. Because obviously I don't want to play the game completely the same way I played, because I lost. So we're gonna do things a little differently this time. But for the most part, I am proud of the game I played the first time, so I don't want to scrap it all. And also, we don't really know what we're walking into. The fans are voting on things. Jeff is crazy! We could be walking into anything when we get out there. So I gotta stay quick on my toes.

Well, one of the things the fans voted on is whether or not idols will be in the game. If they are, considering what happened to you and "Idolisha" last time, are you going to have a different approach to finding and playing them?
I am not approaching looking for them in a different way. I am approaching talking about them in a different way. Really, not at all.

Are we doing this hot take again?!
[Laughs.] But this time, I'm actually gonna do it! I'm actually gonna shut my mouth. And I'm gonna play it. But an idol is a very tricky thing. Just because you have it doesn't mean you know when to use it. It's a gamble whether you play it right or whether you don't. So still gonna look for it. Hopefully keeping my mouth shut, lets me hold on to it a little bit longer. But I'm gonna roll with my gut this time. So if my gut tells me to whip that thing out. I'm gonna whip it out whether I'm right or wrong.

When you and I spoke after your boot, you talked about how surprised you were watching the episodes how big of a target you were. Does that give you a new perspective this time around? Are there telltale signs you're looking out for?
I have to sit and think about the signs that I need to look for this time. Because realizing that I was as big a target as I was was definitely an eye-opening experience for me. But I don't think there's a way to shake that. I am who I'm going to be. But I think the thing that's different this time around is I'm not the only target out there. I might be Tiffany, but guess what? Ozzy's right there. Cirie's right now. Christian's right there. Aubry's right now. What you looking at little old me for? I didn't play my idol! I went home with it in my pocket. There's much bigger targets out here.

When we were out here last time, you also said you didn't have much of a filter. Is that something you're going to try to work on more this time around? Or is it more, "I got as far as I did last time being myself"?
One thing will remain true. I'm always gonna be me. I'm not gonna change who I am. Now one thing that I am trying to work on is giving away how I feel with my facial expressions. Because I feel like I don't have a very good poker face, and we're gonna work on that this time. But as far as authenticity goes, I'm still gonna be me. That's in my DNA.

Was there a difference in your prep between 46 and 50?
I don't think the prep was too different, at least not physically. I did focus more on mental fortitude this time around,. Because I feel like that's where I struggled the first time. And one thing about me is I can be looking cool and calm and collected on the surface. Internally, there's a storm going on. I'm the duck. I'm cool on the surface, but I'm paddling for my life underneath. And I think this time, my strategy was to kind of just work on staying mentally strong in the face of adversity. Because a lot of times when people get frazzled, they make mistakes. And I did that. I got frazzled, and instead of sitting down and focusing on what my next steps would be, I just let my emotions guide me. And then I ended up just cussing Q out. And then I got mad, and I was running around like a crazy person. So we're not gonna do that this time.

Well, let's talk about some of the people you hopefully won't be cursing out this season. We're gonna play a game called "Friend or Foe." I'm going to give you a name of someone on the cast, and you have to tell me if they're someone you want to work with, or someone you see as an enemy or threat.
Oh my God, this is so hard! I feel like everybody's a potential Friend.

Until they're potential Foes.
Exactly. That's the thing. It's so hard for me to call somebody a Foe until they do something to make me think that. But I'll play along.

I appreciate that! Let's start with Jenna.
Friend. Actually, you know what? I change that. She's a Foe.

[Laughs.] Not so hard to say "Foe" anymore!
[Laughs.] She seems very shrewd. She seems like she pays attention to a lot of things. And me as a person who wears my emotions on my face, I feel like it might be difficult to get things around her.

How about Colby?
Foe. He just seems very stoic, and I'm more of a bubbly person, so I don't know how we would gel. I mean, it could just be everybody has their game face on, but just preconceptions.

Stephenie.
Friend. She seems like she has a similar personality to mine. She seems effervescent, bubbly, fun.

Cirie.
[Pause.] Friend.

Why the pause?
Because Cirie is one of those people that is llarger than life when you think about Survivor. But I don't feel an intimidation factor. It's just that, it's Cirie! But I do think that I could work with her. She's very graceful, and she seems like she would make a good ally.

Ozzy.
[Smiles, then laughs.] "Froe."

So you're going for a middle option!
We could go either way. It's not difficult to pick up anything. But he gives me vibes, like he can flip a switch. He could be your friend one day, but I don't think that that is always going to be the case. So it's hard to read that one.

How about Coach?
Friend. I think he could be friends. I noticed that he has his big toenails painted, and that gives me an artsy vibe. Only one big toe was painted. I didn't see paint on the other toes. And I'm like, "I like that." [Laughs.]

Aubry.
Friend. She just gives me quirky vibes. I feel like I'm a little bit of a quirky person. I think I could vibe with her.

Chrissy.
Friend. She seems really sweet. Yeah, obviously, these are people that I haven't spoken a word to. But just her aura, her vibe, she gives a very sweet and nurturing vibe.

Angelina.
Foe. She just seems like a person that will play hard right out of the gate and somebody that I will have to watch immediately. I don't know why. Those are just the vibes. I haven't spoken a word to her, just the vibes.

Christian.
Friend. He's such a cutie patootie! I think we would be friends.

Mike.
Friend for sure. I feel like we can have a nice little kiki session. He seems funny.

Rick.
Foe. Not because of anything he's done, but just he seems overly friendly, almost like it's trying to suck you in. You cannot trick me! So, yeah, it seems like he gives me sneaky vibes a little bit.

Tiffany Ervin on 'Survivor 50'

Robert Voets/CBS

Let's get into your fellow new era castaways. Starting with Jonathan.
Ooh, I think Jonathan could be a Friend. He seems like he's level-headed. He doesn't seem like somebody who's gonna make rash decisions. He's somebody I could talk to rationally when things hit the fan.

Dee.
Oh, that's tough. Can we go Froe? We're gonna flirt with the line and go Froe. Because obviously I know that Dee and I could vibe. I've met Dee. I'm cool with Dee. But also I know how hard she plays, so we could clash.

Emily.
I feel like Emily is another one that I might have to watch, for no particular reason. She's very sweet, but she seems calculated.

I mean we're also getting into the area of seasons in proximity to yours. And I know alumni have said in the past that those are the people you typically interact with the most.
A lot of the new era people I have met. So these are people that I've spoken to, I've hung out with. I mean, by no stretch of the imagination am I besties with any of them. But just vibes.

Well, let's get into the big vibes around Season 46. Charlie was part of the group that voted you out, and you did not vote for him to win. What are your thoughts on him going into your second season with you?
I think Charlie and I could start off as Friends. But also, he is somebody who wrote my name down, so both eyes will be open. And then the third eye is gonna be open there too, and maybe a couple of eyes in the back of my head. Because I know how Charlie plays; I played with Charlie. Charlie is a person that will stab you in the back while smiling in your face. So we could be frenemies.

Alright, we've finally gotten to. Give me your thoughts on Q going into Survivor 50.
[Laughs.] Q, Q, Q. This is also a tough one. Contrary to popular belief, Q and I are friends. We are actually friends. So it's weird to say, but we're gonna go Froe. I'm not gonna put any faith in Q, because at the end of the day, he is Q. But we're cool. We've buried the hatchet. We became cool instantly when he got back to Ponderosa. As soon as he stepped on the beach, we're like, "Alright, cool." But Survivor Tiffany and Survivor Q are not friends. Real-life Tiffany and real-life Q are friends.

Are you gonna be open with people about the fact that you and Q are friends?
I'm not going to go out there and put on a charade like Q and I aren't friends. Again, these are people that know me. These are people that follow me on social media. These are people that I've hung out with at parties. They see me and Q talking. They see us hanging out. That would be foolish to do. So I think I'm just gonna be honest. I don't know how to play it. We're cool, but at the end of the day, you can only trust somebody as far as you're willing to trust them with a million dollars that you're fighting for. Also, they don't call him "Chaos Q" for no reason.

What are your thoughts on Genevieve?
I think Genevieve could be a Friend. She seems cool. Obviously, she's great at challenges. I loved watching her play. But then again, she's another one that I might have to be like, "Girl, I'm watching you!"

Joe.
I like Joe. But I think Joe, at least, if we're judging based off the game he played before, he might be a little bit rigid. I think in this game, it's easier to play with people who are a little more fluid, willing to turn, willing to change plans at the last minute. Obviously, listen, Joe's rigid gameplay got him to the end on 48. I don't know how successful that would be out here in a beach full of former players. But I think he could potentially be a Friend if he adopts a little bit more flexibility in his gameplay.

Kamilla.
Kamilla could be — well actually, I was gonna say Friend. Friend until proven Froe. I also have seen what Kamilla's capable of. Give that girl an Oscar! She was acting out there. So I'm not going to completely let my guard down with Kamilla, because the way she lied to them people out there, she could certainly lie to me.

Kyle.
I would say Friend. I like Kyle. And maybe this is just because I've had a little bit more conversation with Kyle in the real world than Kamilla, so I have a teeny bit more to base it off of. But he seems a little bit more open than Kamilla, and he seems a little bit easier to read than Kamilla.

Any thoughts on the Season 49 players?
I'm not picking up much from either of them. But I don't think that that's a good thing, in my personal opinion. I'd rather walk into a situation where I have something to go off of. We're gonna slide them both into the Foe category, until proven otherwise.

Which previous player do you wish were out here on the island with you right now?
Oh, wow, that's a great question. I would love to play with Jeremy. He seems like so much fun. He seems like such good vibes. I would love to play with him.

They say sometimes when a player returns, they take from the game of the person who won their original season. Given how tight you were with Kenzie, is there anything you're taking from her game into 50?
Yes. It is so funny. This was so long ago, but I texted her, and I'm like, "If I ever go back out there, I'm gonna collect a little bit more seashells." And what I mean by that is, I would get on Kenzie's ass all the time. Because Kenzie just used to frolic up and down the beach collecting seashells and tying flowers in her hair. And I'm like, "Bitch, get your head in the game! What are you doing?!" She's like, "It's so beautiful. Everything's so wonderful. We're having a great time."

But she was present. She was always present. She was always just taking in everything around her. And I think that is what made it easier for her to get to the end. Now, I'm not saying I'm out to be just floating around like a fairy. But I am going to try to be more present and kind of take things in. Because obviously an added benefit to that is that I'm in Fiji. This is amazing. This is beautiful. It's an adventure of a lifetime. But being present will also help you to pick up on little nuances that are going up around you that you may not have seen otherwise.

On the note of number one allies, are there any qualities you're seeking in one this time around?
I had an answer to that question the first time we did this. And to be honest, no. I don't want a number one ally. I want me to be my number one ally. Because the last time I put my faith in number one ally, I got burned.

To be fair, so did literally every other person in your cast.
I mean, yeah, actually, you're right. My whole entire cast is like a complete s—tshow. But no, I think when you lean too heavily on the crutch of having that number one ally, that person to fall back on, then you kind of lose a little bit of your own balance. And I don't want to do that this time.

That's a good way to put it. You have to maintain the balance on your own using your own equilibrium. If you're leaning on something to stay upright, when that gets taken away, you'll fall over.
Yep, exactly.

Finally, what celebrity or fictional character would you bring out for a Loved Ones visit? Last time we did this, you said Hermione Granger. Would you like to pick someone else this time?
Prince.

And you've got the purple on today and everything!
I love Prince. I listen to Prince's music all the time. And I think that when I listen to Prince, it just takes me to a different place. And I feel like he will be able to inspire me like no other.

The Dangerous TikTok Microwave Trend Parents and Grandparents Should Know About

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 12:59pm

Every few months, it seems like a new dangerous TikTok trend goes viral. From the fire and Benadryl challenges to the Beezin trend, these potentially deadly social media dares have become more commonplace as TikTok has become more engrained in the daily lives of teens and tweens. Unfortunately, most of these viral trends reach adolescents' social media feeds without their parents' knowledge. Sometimes, children without social media also hear about them from their friends and give the challenges a whirl without knowing the potential consequences. This is exactly what happened to nine-year-old Caleb Chabolla of Illinois, who recently took part in the dangerous new TikTok microwave trend.

Chabolla made headlines this week when photos of the burns he sustained after microwaving a popular toy went viral. Luckily, the child survived the incident, but safety and burn experts are now warning parents and grandparents about the serious side effects that can result from the microwave challenge.

Below, Parade is breaking down everything you need to know about this risky TikTok trend and sharing insight from burn and safety experts. We've also included commentary from mental health professionals who are sharing tips for how to talk to your children and grandchildren about this worrisome trend.

What Is the New TikTok Microwave Trend?

According to a press release obtained by Parade, Chabolla was treated at Loyola Medicine’s Burn Center. The burn center listed details of the incident, which occurred on Jan. 20, 2026. In the morning, the nine-year-old microwaved a NeeDoh cube sensory toy. The cube, which was filled with "gelatinous material," exploded in Chabolla's face and hands when he opened the microwave.

"There are many TikTok videos of people microwaving these toys to make them more pliable. Caleb, who is not on social media, heard from a friend at school and decided to try it, unaware of the risks," the press release reads.

When Chabolla's mother saw how much pain her son was in, she took him to the emergency room. From there, he was transferred to Loyola Medicine’s Burn Center.

A spokesperson for the burn center tells Parade that Chabolla was treated for second-degree burns on his face, ear and hands.

"Upon arrival, Caleb’s burns were washed, his dead skin cut away and ointment was applied to his injuries. Due to the proximity to his eye, which was swollen shut from the burn, Caleb was also seen by an ophthalmologist. Thankfully, his vision was unimpaired by the accident," the spokesperson shared.

Paula Petersen, a burn center advanced practice nurse, also shared the following statement in the press release: “Unfortunately, Caleb’s is the fourth case we have seen this year with NeeDoh cubes. Caleb is very lucky he didn’t sustain greater injuries.”

The Risks You Should Know About

Dr. Alice Fagin, FACS, a burn surgeon with Shriners Children’s Ohio, tells Parade the TikTok microwave challenge has many potentially dangerous side effects.

"We have treated two teenagers in the last week who sustained burn injuries from this TikTok trend. We have seen second-degree burns to the face and hands from the heated silicone," she says.

Courtesy Loyola Medicine

The burns children sustain in these incidents can often lead to scarring. There's also a risk of eye injuries or "potential loss of sight" and "the potential of ingesting toxic materials."

A Shriner's Children press release obtained by Parade details how the organization has seen patients with burns from the microwave challenge at all four of its verified pediatric burn centers over the last few weeks.

From a fire safety point of view, it's often dangerous for children to use microwaves in the first place, according to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Communications Manager Susan McKelvey.

"When children do begin to use a microwave—the appropriate age depends on parents’ and/or caregivers’ discretion—they need to learn what is and isn’t safe to put in the microwave," McKelvey tells Parade. "Toys and other objects not designed to go in the microwave can heat up to very high temperatures, resulting in fires and injuries, such as burns, that present serious risks to children and adults alike."

Why Kids Are Often Drawn to Social Media Challenges

Whether you think your child or grandchild might participate in the TikTok microwave challenge or not, it's best to stay informed about these viral trends as they arise. After all, kids are naturally curious.

"Children are drawn to social media challenges because their brains are wired for belonging, novelty and social approval. Online platforms amplify those instincts. When kids see peers attempting a trend without immediate consequences, it creates a false sense of safety," clinical psychologist Dr. Jenny Yip says.

Since the videos rarely show injuries or long-term harm, the risks can feel "abstract or invisible," per Yip.

"Kids aren’t thinking about emergency rooms. They’re thinking about fitting in, being noticed and doing what looks normal in their online world," she tells Parade.

Related: These 11 Phrases Can Help You Raise Emotionally Resilient Kids, Psychologists Say

This is a critical element to consider before talking to your children, according to Mindful Care clinical psychiatrist Dr. Tamir Aldad.

"Children are not doing these challenges because they are reckless or unintelligent. They are doing them because their brains are still developing in a digital environment that is engineered to reward imitation, visibility and risk," he says.

When your child or grandchild takes part in a dangerous social media challenge, it's easy to blame them or yourself. But Aldad says it's important to pause before doing so.

"This is not about poor parenting or bad kids. It is about immature brains being exposed to adult-level persuasion systems without adequate protection," he stresses.

How Parents and Grandparents Should Talk About This Trend With Kids

If you're hoping to get ahead of the issue, both Aldad and Yip encourage parents and grandparents to openly address these potentially hazardous challenges with children. Here are some tips for opening the conversation:

1. Lead with curiosity, not fear

"Effective conversations start with curiosity rather than fear or punishment. Ask children what they saw and what they thought would happen, then clearly explain that many online videos omit the moments when people get seriously hurt," Yip says.

Related: 9 Empathic Phrases To Adopt To Be a Better Listener, According to a Psychologist

2. Explain the risks of social media challenges

"Parents can explain, in age-appropriate language, that social media does not show the full story. Many videos leave out injuries, hospital visits or consequences, and some are intentionally designed to shock or go viral rather than keep people safe. Framing it as 'These platforms are built to grab attention, not protect you' is often more effective than saying 'Don’t be stupid,'" Aldad explains.

3. Set boundaries

"It also helps to give kids a simple rule they can remember, such as: 'If a video asks you to use heat, electricity, sharp objects, chemicals or anything you would not do in front of a trusted adult, it is automatically unsafe. No exceptions,'" Aldad notes.

4. Keep the lines of communication open

"Parents can establish an 'ask first' culture where children are praised for checking with an adult before trying something they see online. The goal isn’t to scare kids, it’s to help them learn that the internet is not a safety guide and that pausing to ask questions is a strength, not a weakness," Yip says.

Jelly Roll Allegedly Confronted Reporter Who Asked Him About ICE at the Grammys

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 12:56pm

Jelly Roll was reportedly unhappy after being asked a political question at the Grammys, according to a Rolling Stone reporter who claims to have witnessed a heated exchange between his colleague and the country star.

During the Thursday, Feb. 5 episode of the Plus One Show with Jess Lucero, Rolling Stone Staff Writer Tomás Mier shared what allegedly occurred after his colleague, Senior Reporter Nancy Dillon, asked Jelly Roll a political question at the post-Grammys press conference on Sunday, Feb. 1.

At the conference, Dillon asked Jelly Roll if he was "willing to comment on what's going on in the country," seemingly referring to the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and ongoing protests across the U.S.

However, the "Need A Favor" singer declined to take a clear stance, saying, “People shouldn’t care to hear my opinion.”

"I’m a dumb redneck,” he continued. “I haven’t watched enough. I didn’t have a phone for 18 months.”

Jelly Roll added that he doesn't have any social media and is "disconnected from what’s happening.”

The singer's response went viral online, with many fans disappointed with his indifference on the topic. However, Mier claims there's more to the story that wasn't captured on camera.

“Nobody's talked about this, because it happened in the press room and only certain people saw, but this is something that happened and I think we should talk about it," he began.

Mier went on to say that Jelly Roll allegedly returned to the press room after the conference to confront Dillon, not about her question, but about an article Rolling Stone published last year.

In the piece, titled, "How Nashville's Music Row Went MAGA in 2025," the singer was associated with President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement. Jelly Roll has never publicly endorsed the president or any political party, and can't vote due to past felony convictions.

“It was a very tense moment, because it was Jelly Roll speaking from a platform down to a reporter who was just doing her job," Mier alleged. "Everybody in the room just froze. At one point, somebody on his team just came and just told Jelly, like, ‘Jelly, we have to go, like, let's go.’”

The writer also clarified that Dillon was not the author of article Jelly Roll was reportedly upset about.

“Nancy didn't write that story, and it was just because it was Rolling Stone, she was representing the brand, and got yelled at, and everybody in the room saw it," he added. "We're not allowed to film in there with our own phones. So what was posted was the camera footage given to us by the Recording Academy. It made everybody uncomfortable.”

Jimmy Fallon Discusses His 'Most Awkward' 'Late Night' Interview

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 12:54pm

As with mainstream talk show host, Jimmy Fallon has weathered his fair share of both unforgettably hilarious and egregiously awkward interviews since his late night career began in 2009.

But to this day, there's only one interview Fallon remains the most embarrassed by, as the talk show host revealed in an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

Interestingly, when asked to name his worst celebrity interview, Fallon was quick to point to his first-ever episode of Late Night in 2009, in which he sat down for a notably cringeworthy conversation with Hollywood legend Robert De Niro.

"In real life, he doesn't even talk much," Fallon said of the famously soft-spoken De Niro.

While interviewing such a mainstream celebrity might have been daunting for his first show, Fallon said he settled on De Niro in the hopes of making an impact on the talk show circuit.

I was like, ‘I want to get somebody A-list,’ and I want someone in New York,” Fallon said. "And the first [person] who came to mind was Robert De Niro."

“And here’s the coolness of Robert De Niro," Fallon continued. "He didn’t have a movie coming out, had nothing to promote, he said, ‘Absolutely, yes,' as soon as I asked him.”

Unfortunately, Fallon's initial nervousness upon Late Night's debut ultimately wound up causing him to appear flustered, especially given De Niro's simple one-word responses to his interview questions.

"Flop sweat's coming down my face,” Fallon said of the disastrous interview. “My hair looked like it had a comb-over… At one point I was delirious, I couldn’t even see him, I was like 'What-what's a movie?' I was like 'What's a movie'? That's an awful question."

Though they might have got off on the wrong foot, Fallon eventually made a public apology for his poor interview with De Niro upon the Taxi Driver star's Tonight Show appearance in 2015.

“I gotta say, I had no idea what I was doing,” Fallon said to De Niro. “I ran out of questions to ask you because you don’t even like doing talk shows that much.”

Michelle Yeoh Plays 5 Different Characters in Newest Film

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 12:49pm

Michelle Yeoh is everything everywhere all at once, once again.

News just dropped that the EEAAO star is headlining another multiplayer film, this one premiering at the Berlin Film Festival on Feb. 13. Directed by Sean Baker, whose film Anora won the best picture Oscar last year, Sandiwara stars Yeoh in not one, not two, but five different roles. But that's only the beginning of the story.

A collaboration with Self-Portrait -- yes, Self-Portrait as in the London-based fashion house A-listers like Catherine, Princess of Wales, have made a household name -- Sandiwara is the first film out of the brand's residency program. Launched last year, the Self-Portrait Residency Prograam invites creatives “from all disciplines into the brand to design using their own distinctive style” and to use the brand’s “infrastructure, platforms, resources, teams and distribution network to spotlight and promote external creatives, offering them the freedom to dream and create.”

The film collaboration also marks Baker’s return to shooting movies with just an iPhone. Fans of Baker will remember fondly Snowbird and Tangerine, both guerilla-style filmmaking the Prince of Broadway director shot with his smartphone.

Per Variety, which first reported on the Sandiwara back in December, Sandiwara will be quite “an immersive cinematic experience.”

Starring Yeoh as five different characters, the film is set in a Malaysia night market and “moves beyond fashion and into the world of cinema and storytelling to capture the heart of Malaysian culture,” the synopsis reads. With a title borrowed from the Malay word meaning “drama, theatrical performance or play,” Sandiwara unfolds through each character’s own unique story.

Rumor has it, the film will run about a half or so – so, short film? – but we’ll have to wait for its premiere at Berlinale before we know for sure. At the festival, Baker will also present Yeoh with the Honorary Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement.

The Berlin International Film Festival runs Feb. 12 through 22.

Jason Momoa’s Teenage Son Listens to Boy Bands to Rebel Against Metalhead Dad

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 12:46pm

When your dad is covered in tattoos, rides motorcycles, plays bass in a metal band, and hangs out with rock stars, how do you possibly express your teenage angst? With the Backstreet Boys, naturally.

Such is the case with Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, the son of Lisa Bonet and star Jason Momoa. Jason—who stars alongside Dave Bautista in the Amazon Prime original film, The Wrecking Crew—shared the news of his son’s popstar rebellion while on the Feb. 6 episode of Track Star*.

The YouTube series has host Jack Coyne test celebrities’ knowledge as they listen blindly to a playlist of songs. When it got to Alice In Chains’ “Rooster,” Jason remarked about how he and Conye were “so lucky” to be alive at the time of grunge—except Jack, being 35, was a decade younger than the 46-year-old Jason.

“You had Alice In Chains, I had N*SYNC,” said Conye. “My MTV era was Brittney Spears, Backstreet Boys and N*SYNC. You had Nirvana.”

“You know what,” said Jason. “My son loves—I mean, he loves everything but is like so into like, a couple of Backstreet Boys songs. He sings them and, I think he does it just to rebel. That’s his rebellion. I used to listen to f—king Rage [Against the Machine] and all these other things. And he listens to Backstreet Boys.”

Described as “one of the most chaotic guests” on Track Star*, Jason was able to recognize almost every song on the Track Star* playlist. He instantly recognized Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man,” Metallica’s “For Whom The Bell Tolls,” Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name,” Alice in Chains’ “Rooster,” Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer,” Tool’s “Sober,” Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper,” and Korn’s “Freak on a Leash.

The only one he missed was Helmet’s “Unsung” (though the YouTube description also listed “Last Caress” by The Misfits, which was probably a little too rowdy for the video if you know about the lyrics; better subscribe to the podcast feed).

Jason Momoa’s love of metal was on full display when he hosted Back to the Beginning, the jam-packed event that marked the final show for both Ozzy Osbourneas a solo artist and as part of heavy metal pioneers, Black Sabbath.

"It was an honor to even have my name as part of it," he told the BBC. “I just wanted to get tickets bro, and they're like 'would you host it?' What? What?”

"Every character I have ever played, Sabbath had one way in it or not,” he added. "There's something from Sabbath that has affected someone else who in turn helped me play that character. You don't think Aquaman didn't listen to Sabbath bro? Get out of here...you think I'm listening to Abba??!"
