If you’re getting a head start on spring cleaning, one of the hardest parts is figuring out where to put things that don’t have a home but you’re not ready to toss. A large bookshelf is one of the easiest ways to solve that problem, giving you space to organize, display, and declutter at the same time while making your room look more put-together.
One option that’s as stylish as it is practical is the Homfa Triple Row 6-Tier Bookshelf. It’s currently on sale for $190, down from $270, which makes it a strong value for such a tall, sturdy, and versatile piece.
Homfa Triple Row 6-Tier Bookshelf, $190 (was $270) at WalmartDesign-wise, it comes in seven colors — black, blue, maroon, green, white, and two wood tones — so it’s easy to match your space. The shelf measures 58.7 inches long, 9.3 inches wide, and 74 inches tall, with a 3.1-inch thick base for extra stability. It’s made from 0.6-inch thick particle board, and each shelf holds up to 44 pounds. Two metal anti-tip devices add extra security, and assembly is required.
Storage is where this bookshelf really shines. Its asymmetrical layout includes 17 open compartments across six tiers. The left and right sides each have six smaller sections, while the center column features five larger compartments. That mix of shelf heights makes it easy to store everything from books and baskets to taller decor and storage bins without things feeling cramped or awkward.
It's versatile to work in any space. Use it in a living room for books, framed photos, plants, and collectibles. In a home office, it’s great for files, binders, and tech accessories. It also works in bedrooms for folded clothes and baskets, in pantries for dry goods and glassware, or even in dens for records, DVDs, or display pieces.
This bestselling product has earned praise for its construction quality and stylish appearance. One shopper said the “design is modern, clean, and works beautifully in almost any room,” noting it has "plenty of space for books, decor, or storage bins.” Another described it as “beautiful,” adding that the “directions were very clear and detailed.”

Prince’s ‘Legendary’ Super Bowl Halftime Show Goes Viral Ahead of Bad Bunny Performance
The Super Bowl has Prince, aka Prince Rogers Nelson, fans taking a trip down memory lane as his infamous halftime show resurfaces.
Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will headline the biggest night in the NFL this weekend. There has been plenty of political controversy surrounding Bad Bunny’s performance during the Seattle Seahawks-New England Patriots game.
However, for many music fans, all the hoopla around the Super Bowl has them remembering 19 years ago, when Prince gave a performance ranked as the best in Super Bowl halftime show history.
It was epic, and not just because Prince is iconic and knew how to put on one heck of a show. Prince took the stage in the pouring rain in Miami, which was beyond fitting as he lit up the stadium with his classic hits like “Purple Rain,” “Baby, I'm a Star,” and “Let’s Go Crazy,” to name a few.
X has been on fire with fans gushing about Prince killing it at the Super Bowl.
“19 years ago today, Prince performed at the Super Bowl and took the entire world to church,” wrote a fan. The X was shared by another fan who added, “The best halftime show ever.”
One fan declared, “19 years ago tonight Respectfully, this #SuperBowl halftime show will never be topped.” A fan reshared the X to chime in, “God was in on it. It poured during Purple Rain.”
“February 4, 2007, in the pouring rain, Prince took the stage at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, and delivered what is widely regarded as the greatest #SuperBowl Halftime show of all time,” declared a fan who also gave props to Prince’s back up dancers, sharing “Equally impressive were his backup dancers, the Twinz, Australian-born identical twins Maya and Nandy McClean, who toured with him from 2006 to 2016, didn't slip once while wearing 8-inch stilettos on a polished wet stage.”

Kaley Cuoco Reveals the One 'Big Bang Theory' Co-Star She Still Talks to All the Time
Despite The Big Bang Theory ending in 2019, actress Kaley Cuoco says she's still in constant contact with one of her former co-stars.
During a February 5 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Cuoco, who played Penny on the CBSsitcom, was asked if "there is an active Big Bang Theory group chat." Cuoco replied that there wasn't, but she still texts Johnny Galecki, who played her on-screen love-interest Dr. Leonard Hofstadter throughout the show's 12-season run.
"There's one with me and Johnny. All the time," said Cuoco during the Watch What Happens Live interview.
Kaley Cuoco & Johnny Galecki Were in a Romantic RelationshipCuoco and Galecki were in a nearly two-year relationship until 2009, per People magazine. According to the publication, the former Big Bang Theory co-stars got candid about their romance in the 2022 book, The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story, by Jessica Radloff.
Cuoco revealed that she "had a very big crush on Johnny early on" in the show's production. She said while she and Galecki "were both dating people" during the show's first season, which premiered in 2007, she "only had eyes for Johnny."
"Then, when I found out he had eyes for me too, I was like, Uh‑oh, this is going to be trouble," continued Cuoco, who is engaged to Tom Pelphrey, the father of her daughter, Matilda.
In the book, Cuoco also noted that she and Galecki weren't open about their romance while they were dating. She explained that Galecki "was very protective of what the fans would think."
"Because we wanted them to want Leonard and Penny together so badly, that if they saw us together in real life, it could ruin the fantasy," said Cuoco in The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story, as reported by People.
She also said that one of the reasons she and Galecki ended up breaking up was because they "ran out of things to talk about" due to being co-workers. In addition, she asserted that "there was no foul play" when it came to the end of their relationship.
Cuoco also shared that while their breakup was painful, she and Galecki were able to quickly establish a friendship.
In the 2022 book, Galecki said that he has a deep appreciation for Cuoco.
"I adore the friends that we are. I think I might value my relationship with her more than any other previous relationship or relationship afterwards. We just have such a bond that I appreciate so much. And I think that's part of our great friendship," said the Roseanne star, as reported by People.
Kaley Cuoco Teased She Might Reprise Penny in a Spin-Off SeriesCuoco teased that Big Bang Theory fans might see Penny again in a January 2026 Entertainment Tonight interview. When asked if Penny would be appearing in the upcoming Big Bang Theory spin-off, Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, Cuoco simply smiled and widened her eyes.
"Big eyes. I don't know what that tells you," said Cuoco with a smirk.
She also said she adores her Big Bang Theory character and attributed her role on the sitcom to her success as an actress and producer.
"I love Penny. It's one of my favorite characters. It changed my life professionally, personally. What a journey. I learned so much," said Cuoco during the Entertainment Tonight interview.
Savannah Guthrie's Mom Update: New Message Received by Authorities
Authorities have confirmed that they have received a new message in regard to Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.
On Friday, Feb. 6, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanosshared a post on the Pima County Sheriff's official social media pages, letting the public know that they are "aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie."
"Investigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity," the post continues.
View this post on InstagramNancy, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities believe that she may have been abducted from her Arizona home in the middle of the night. Three days later, some media outlets, including TMZ, reported that they'd received an email that appeared to be a ransom note. Investigators have been working around the clock to figure out if the email is legitimate.
As far as the public knows, this is the second communication that would-be kidnappers have made. It's unclear what might have been said in this note, but NewsNation's Brian Entin reported that the note was sent to KOLD TV in Tucson. Entin also reported that the note was sent from a different IP address as the first communication, but they used the same software to hide their IP address from being traced. Moreover, Entin says, the new message "contains something the senders seem to think will prove to investigators they’re the same people who sent the first note."
The Guthrie family acknowledged the initial unverified ransom note in an emotional video shared on social media on February 4. In that video, Nancy's kids, Savannah Guthrie, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie, mentioned the ransom note and requested proof that their mother was alive before moving forward with any ransom request.
On Thursday, Feb. 5, TMZ founder Harvey Levin spoke with Sean Hannity about some of the details in the unverified ransom note that was set to the outlet via email.
“I will say the letter begins by saying she is safe but scared, and they go on to say she knows exactly what the demand is," Levin told Hannity. “They are, through us, telling the family exactly what they are demanding, and they are saying that Nancy is aware of it.”
“They are also saying … that this will be their only communication and they are done communicating and negotiating — here’s the deal and that’s it," he added.
What Do the Olympic Rings Symbolize?
With the 2026 Winter Olympics starting in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, many people are doing a deep dive into the history of the games. This includes fun facts about the iconic symbols of the five Olympic rings. You recognize them the second you see them, but what exactly do they mean?
We've got everything you want to know about the interlaced Olympic rings, including their symbolism, what their colors represent and the changes they’ve undergone throughout history.

The Olympic Games have a rich history dating back to ancient Greece—776 BCE, to be exact. Picture this: Every four years, a bunch of naked men would gather in Olympia to compete in honor of Zeus. There were basic events like running and wrestling, with the big prize being a crown of olive branches. The whole shebang was as much a religious festival as a sports competition. It was smaller and simpler than today's global extravaganza, but it laid the groundwork for the Olympic tradition we know now.
The modern era of the Olympics, however, began in the late 19th century. In 1894, French educator Baron Pierre de Coubertin founded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and proposed the idea of reviving the Olympic Games. The first modern Olympics were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896.
The Olympic rings were designed by Baron Pierre de Coubertin and first appeared in 1913. He came up with the whole modern Olympic setup, including that famous five-ring logo, and spent his life hyping up the Games as a way to get countries to play nice and learn from each other.
According to the IOC, "In the Olympic Review of August 1913, [Baron Pierre de Coubertin] explained that 'These five rings represent the five parts of the world now won over to Olympism and ready to accept its fertile rivalries. Moreover, the six colours thus combined reproduce those of all the nations without exception.'"
The interlaced rings were officially adopted in 1914 but didn't make their debut at the Olympic Games until 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium, due to World War I causing the cancellation of the 1916 Games.

What Do the Olympic Rings Symbolize? The Olympic rings symbolize four things:
1. MovementThe shape of the rings symbolizes the universality of the Olympic Movement.
2. UnityThe rings are interlocked to represent the unity and meeting of athletes from around the world. In Olympic parlance, the five inhabited continents are Africa, the Americas (North and South America combined), Asia, Europe and Oceania.
3. FlagsThe colors of the rings (blue, yellow, black, green, red) were chosen because at least one of these colors appeared on the flag of every nation at the time of the design. The rings are typically displayed on a white background.
4. EqualityThe equal size of the rings shows how each continent is treated as equal at the Games.

What Do the Olympic Ring Colors Mean? The five colors of the Olympic rings are blue, yellow, black, green and red on a white background. The colors were chosen for a simple reason: At least one of them appeared on the flag of every nation at the time of the rings' creation.

Which Color Represents Which Continent in the Olympic Rings? The colors of the Olympic rings are not assigned to specific continents. Rather, every nation's flag beared at least one of the five colors when the rings were created in 1913.
"The six colors thus combined reproduce those of all nations without exception," stated the rings' creator, Pierre de Coubertin.
Why Are There Only 5 Olympic Rings When There Are 7 Continents? The five Olympic rings represent the five continents recognized in 1913, when Pierre de Coubertin created the rings. These are Africa, the Americas (North and South combined), Asia, Europe and Oceania.
"These five rings represent the five parts of the world now won over to the cause of Olympism and ready to accept its fecund rivalries," stated Coubertin.
Sorry, Antarctica!
Different Versions of the Olympic RingsOver the years, there have been several variations of the Olympic rings. The original design had the rings interlaced in a slightly different pattern than what we see today. For many years, the IOC used a version with the rings on a white background.
In 2010, the IOC officially adopted a new version with the rings interlinked in a more precise geometric pattern. Monochrome versions of the rings are used in certain contexts, so there are actually seven official versions of the Olympic rings.

Beloved Indie Rock Musician, Inspiration for the Replacements’ Alt-Rock Anthem ‘Left of the Dial,’ Dies
Lynn Blakely, an indie rock musician who played with Let’s Active, Oh-OK and Tres Chicas, has died. Her cause of death wasn’t immediately known. In 2025, she was fighting a recurrence of cancer. She was in her early 60s.
The news of her death was reported on social media by Bob Mehr, author of the acclaimed book Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements, who noted her role in the Replacements’ college rock anthem “Left of the Dial.”
“On one level ‘Left of the Dial’ celebrated the '80s American indie scene and paid tribute to the tiny-watt college stations at the far end of the FM dial, where the Replacements got most of their airplay. But it was also a love song, an evocation of Paul Westerberg’s infatuation with Blakey,” Mehr wrote. “They first met when the ‘Mats & Let’s Active shared a bill at San Fran’s I-Beam in late ‘83. He bummed cigarettes off her & they spent hours walking & talking in the rain. ‘I think Paul decided he had a crush on me,’ said Blakey. As Westerberg recalled: ‘I was in love with the idea of being in love with her. I used that to pine with.’”
The phrase in the song “sweet Georgia breezes” refers to Athens, Ga., Mehr added, where Blakey moved and joined the band Oh-OK, which also featured the sister of R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe, Lynda.
“The song is about that first year of Paul and I meeting and hitting it off and logistically it not working out,” said Blakey, Mehr shared in his post.
“I figured the only way I'd hear her voice was with her band on the radio on a college station and one night we did,” said Westerberg told Mehr. “We were passing through a town somewhere, and she was doing an interview on the radio. I heard her voice for the first time in six months for about a minute. Then the station faded out.”
The song’s lyrics, “If I don't see ya in a long, long while/I'll try to find you, left of the dial,” directly referred to that situation, Mehr noted.
In 2024, Blakey returned to the University of North Carolina, Greensboro to pursue a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies. Then 61, Blakey had attended the university three decades earlier and was pursuing a communications degree before she left school during her junior year to join Let’s Active.
Last March, Blakey’s friends in the band the dB’s posted on Instagram that Blakey’s cancer had returned and shared a link to a GoFundMe to raise money for her treatment. At the time, Blakey’s husband Ecki Heins had been diagnosed with colon cancer.

A Cult-Favorite Cookware Brand Is About to Upgrade Your Next Pizza Night
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Make-your-own pizza night is one of those things that's fun even if it's a weekly tradition. Handling the dough, stretching it out, and pretending for a second that you know exactly what you're doing is all part of it. Then comes the best part: choosing your toppings. Go classic, go chaotic, pile it high or keep it simple. Because on homemade pizza night, everyone gets exactly what they want.
Plus, the moment you get to grab your pizza straight from the oven feels like a small victory. That first slice, when the cheese is bubbling, and the crust is still crackling? Dinner becomes an event instead of just another meal. That said, using the right pizza pan is critical in achieving a restaurant-level pie. A quality pan helps heat circulate evenly, which is key to getting that crispy, golden crust you usually only expect from your favorite pizzeria.
Caraway recently launched its new Bakeware+ Collection, which basically builds on the original Bakeware Set that fans of the brand have been raving about for ages. It includes a pizza pan that is 100 percent c'est magnifique.
Bakeware+ Collection, $275 at CarawayCourtesy Caraway
While the full Bakeware+ Collection includes the aforementioned pizza pan, cookie sheet (that's also to die for, in my humble opinion), pie pan, 24-cup mini muffin pan, fluted cake pan and pie pan, you have the option to buy individual pieces à la carte.
The pizza pan, for example, costs $65 when purchased on its own and, just like the set, comes in nine different gorgeous colorways. I'm partial to the Perracotta because I'm a pink girlie, but each available hue is a stunner.
So, how does the Caraway Pizza Pan hold up when put to use? My homemade pie turned out crisp, bubbly and downright delectable. Take a peek at the finished product (not that I'm bragging or anything).
Kelly Bryant
Now I prefer a doughier crust, but when I tell you there was no soggy-bottom action here, I mean it. And what might be even better than the pan delivering on an epic pie is that it's so easy to clean. That's thanks to Caraway's non-toxic coating and non-stick ceramic goodness. This pan is oven-safe up to 550°F, so you can achieve a pizzeria-style result without ordering in.
You don't have to take my word for how well the pizza pan works. The accolades are already pouring in from Caraway customers in the reviews section. In fact, one person nearly took the words right out of my mouth.
"I did not think I needed another pizza tool … until I used the Pizza Crisper from Caraway Home," they wrote. "The difference is unreal. The crust actually gets crispy on the bottom (no soggy center), but the top still cooks perfectly without drying everything out. It heats evenly and gives that pizzeria-style finish at home—especially for sourdough or thin crust. What I love most is that it's non-toxic, non-stick, and super easy to clean."
Go ahead, order your favorite colorway and elevate your next at-home pizza night in the very best way.

Hoda Kotb Pulls Out of the Olympics Amid Search for Savannah Guthrie’s Mom
Hoda Kotb will no longer be traveling to Milan to cover the Winter Olympics amid the ongoing search for Savannah Guthrie's missing mom Nancy.
According to People, the former TODAY Show anchor will remain in the U.S. with Craig Melvin, who also canceled his plans to go to the Olympics this week.
The outlet reports that Saturday Today co-anchor Peter Alexander will take Kotb's place, while NBC Sports' Ahmed Fareed is replacing Melvin and NBC sportscaster Mary Carillo is covering for Savannah.

On Friday, Feb. 6, Kotb made her first return to TODAY following her retirement in January 2025 and addressed Nancy's disappearance.
“This whole thing is breaking my heart and I’m happy to be sitting here with you,” Kotb said to Melvin, Carson Daly, and Sheinelle Jones. “I picture Savannah sitting there. I just want to say good morning and everybody’s hoping and praying for Nancy’s safe return.”
While chatting with her colleagues, Kotb reflected on the times Savannah was there for them as they faced personal struggles.
“We’re all so close with her, we all want to help her,” she said. “I’m looking at us and I was thinking, ‘Who was first in the hospital when [my daughter] Hope was sick? Savannah. Who hopped on a plane when [Carson Daly’s] parents [died]? Savannah. Who was sitting by [Sheinelle’s late husband] Uche [Ojeh]’s side? How about when your brother passed, [Craig]? She was there.'”

“She sure is, she’s covered so many Olympics, hasn’t she?” Carillo added. “And she loves them. Right now, of course Savannah and her family are in unspeakable, unfathomable pain. We know in the U.S. that her extended family is legion. Savannah, my friend, it’s the same way here.”

1972 Film Ranked Best ‘Cult-Classic Movie’ of All Time
The best "cult classic" film of all time, according to HowStuffWorks, is one of John Waters' iconic works.
The website published a list last week of the top 13 films that may not have made it big in the box office, but have "built cult status through obsession, repeat viewing and word of mouth" over the years, and this 1972 work found itself in the No. 1 spot above other notable films such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Fight Club(1999) and Jennifer's Body (2009)—films that have built dedicated fanbases and have influenced film culture by their own merit since they were each released.
But the most influential and sustaining film of them all, by HowStuffWorks' standards, was chosen to be Pink Flamingos (1972), the first work in Waters' "Trash Trilogy" series.

Pink Flamingos, starring the legendary drag queen and actor Divine, follows the outrageously infamous Babs Johnson, a Baltimore outlaw living in a trailer with her eccentric family and fiercely defending her title as the “Filthiest Person Alive.” When rival criminals Connie and Raymond Marble set out to dethrone her by committing increasingly grotesque acts for profit and notoriety, the film escalates into a deliberately shocking feud driven by provocation and absurdity.
When the film was first released in 1972, it received wildly mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the film for its shock factor and for how entertaining it was, while others found it to be appalling and grotesque. The film was even banned in Switzerland and Australia, as well as some parts of Canada and Norway—still, the cult following the film received was unlike any other piece of work, appealing greatly to the LGBTQ+ community in particular.
In its explanation for why it ranked Pink Flamingos as the No. 1 cult classic movie of all time, HowStuffWorks wrote: "Its refusal to compromise created lifelong devotion among fans who valued rebellion over comfort."
The film's influence has seeped into many different parts of the entertainment industry beyond just film. Parts of the film were sampled by death metal band Skinless in their songs "Merrie Melody" and "Pool of Stool."
While plans for a sequel film were initially in the works, they were ultimately scrapped when Divine refused to be a part of it, and Edith Massey, who played Babs' mother Edie, passed away in 1984.

"An event of this caliber proved what a great venue and exceptional hospitality we have here in Anderson County," he added. "Of course, we are disappointed that Rock the Country will not return to Anderson this year."
Though no reason given for the cancellation of the two-day event, originally scheduled for July 25 and 26, Burns says local fans will still have plenty to look forward to. For their part, Rock The Country organizers have not yet issued a statement or responded to Parade's request for comment. The event website has been updated to no longer show the South Carolina dates, and where it once said "8 massive shows, 8 small towns," it now only says 7.
The updated lineup also revealed that several acts will no longer perform, including Creed, Ludacris,Morgan Wade, and Carter Faith. Though none of those artists have commented on their disappearance from the lineup, Shinedown shared a clear reason for dropping out.
“Our purpose is to unite, not divide," they wrote on Instagram. "We have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock The Country festival.”
The event seemed to be a go as recently as three days earlier, when rock band Staindposted, "Anderson [rock hand emoji href="https://parade.com/living/emoji-meanings"] Excited to Rock The Country with you this summer. Get tickets now." One disappointed fan later responded, "Would’ve been a great festival…"

‘90s Neotraditional Country Star, 67, Recalls the Injury That Forced Toby Keith to Miss a Concert
Toby Keith passed away on Feb. 5, 2024, but his larger-than-life presence is still felt, and his memory lives on for his family, friends, and fans two years later. The country icon’s legacy continues not only through music, but through stories shared by his fellow artists, who often reminisce over the good times they had with the late “As Good as I Once Was” hitmaker before his untimely death.
Such is the case for Aaron Tippin, who laughs when he recalls one particular fond — and slightly painful — memory of a past time he shared with Keith — a time when the Okie broke his ankle. For Tippin, the memory, while fuzzy, finds him insisting, Keith broke his leg.
Toby Keith Spontaneously Decided to Suit up and Play Some FootballWhile appearing on Taste of Country Nights, Tippin said the incident occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During a visit to a nearby college, Keith mustered the guts to suit up, get out on the field, and join athletes in football practice.
"Me and Tobe [Toby] worked together quite a bit. I’ll tell you a Toby story,” Tippin began. “We were in Tulsa, where he went to college, and he decided he was going to dress out with the football team, and so he did."
Tippin notes that Keith didn’t just observe, he fully participated in the practice, a move that would remind him that “He had forgotten he’d gained a few years.”
"He practiced with them, and he got his leg broken,” Tippin shared, adding that “He missed the show that night; then for the rest of the tour, he was sitting on an old stool. He had forgotten he’d gained a few years."
Despite the Injury, Toby Keith Had No RegretsPer the outlet, a 1994 article by the Chicago Tribune provides more details on the past incident, clarifying that Keith did indeed break his ankle. The report also notes that despite the cost of having fun on the field, Keith had no regrets about the injury.
"It’s been a fantasy for me to suit up with the Big Red and play with the great alumni," Keith said at the time.
Beyond that particular memory, Tippin revealed that he and Keith never really were competitive with each other. Instead, he joked, “In the early days, he opened some shows for me, but then he passed me like I was going backwards.”
As previously noted, Keith died on Feb. 5, 2024, following a courageous battle with stomach cancer. He was 62. Before his death, he enjoyed a remarkable 30-year career, which included 40 million albums sold, 32 No. 1 hits, and various monumental awards and accolades.

Country Singer and Acclaimed Screen Star Announces First Solo Album in 7 Years
Rita Wilson, country singer and acclaimed Hollywood actress, is officially coming back with her first new solo album since 2019's Halfway to Home. The new record, titled Sound of a Woman, is set to come out on May 1.
The lead single and title track, "Sound of a Woman," is already out, dropping on Feb. 6 along with an official music video. The emotional ballad gives fans a hint of what's to come on the highly anticipated new album.
"Sound of a Woman" was co-written by Wilson and Grammy Award winner Amy Wadge, who previously worked with other major artists like Kacey Musgraves and Alicia Keys.

Wilson, who is married to actor Tom Hanks, talked a bit about what the song means to her in a press release shared with Parade, saying, "I’ve come to a stage in my life where I’m only now just finding my voice, both metaphorically and literally."
"Finally, I asked myself, ‘Does anyone actually know what I think or how I feel about anything?’" she went on. "Understanding and accepting that everything that life has thrown at me, as painful as some of it has been, has brought me to a place where I am more fully myself. I don’t think I am unique in that experience.”
View this post on InstagramWilson's upcoming album is described as "an impassioned suite of songs that follow the arc of a woman’s life, charting all the triumphs and missteps and unseen turning points leading to the radical awakening of full-fledged womanhood."
Fans will have to wait and see exactly what's in store on the new album in May, although Wilson is likely to tease more in the time leading up to its release.
Sound of a Woman might be Wilson's first solo record in seven years, but her last album release was Now & Forever: Duets, which came out in late 2022 and is filled with impactful duets with music icons like Smokey Robinson, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, and more.
11 'Healthy' Snacks From the 2000s That Were Actually Just Sugar
Every decade comes with a lineup of pop culture moments that, in today's day and age, float back up to the surface thanks to the World Wide Web. We're thankful for those moments, especially during a time when nostalgia wraps us in a warm embrace, reminding us of time's past.
Nothing takes us back to the millennial heydays like food, making us wish we could enjoy our favorite snacks just one more time—even if just a bite. The packaging and flavors, and textures and smells of these snacks brim up some of the most deeply buried nostalgic memories, reminding us of unpacking lunches in a dimly lit cafeteria, throwing together a meal of snacks from the pantry on a snow day, or those times when we hit up the gas station for a pack of Fruit Stripe gum and a bottle of the latest Fruitopia flavor.
View this post on InstagramThey also bring us back to the days of watching their silly (read: cringey) commercials and listening to earworm-style marketing jingles between episodes of Daria and Total Request Live.
The late '90s and early 2000s were a time when many packaged snacks were touted as "healthy," conveniently labeled as low-fat, fat-free or low-calorie. Diet culture made us believe this meant all-you-can-eat, when in reality, many of these now-nostalgic treats were packed with sugar. With age comes wisdom, and we have now accepted the fact that just because something is fruit-flavored doesn't mean it actually contains fruit.
Many of our favorite snacks from the early aughts hold a special place in our hearts, though—especially those that are no longer found on supermarket shelves. (I'm looking at you, Kudos.) And even though the nutrition facts panel didn't offer much from a protein, fiber or vitamins and minerals perspective, if they came back, they'd still offer us a look back on our childhood, a feeling that is simply irreplaceable.
A quick scroll through social media displays just how important snack memories are to Millennials. Snackwell's cookies, Yogos, Trix yogurt and Kudos bars were among the top recollections, which, thanks to genius marketing tactics, had us thinking we were making a nutritious choice when we tossed them into a brown paper bag.
Let's take a trip down memory lane to explore a collection of late '90s/early 2000s snacks that will always be kind of sentimental.
Snackwell's Devil's Food Cookiesmelissamn / Shutterstock.com
The infamous fat-free devil's food cookies, dressed in a St. Patrick's Day green package, stood out like a sore thumb. This snack was one of Nabisco's first cookie lines, designed to make parents feel they were offering their kids—and themselves—a healthier treat.
Each ganache and marshmallow-coated chocolate cookie was made from several types of sugar and hydrogenated oil. Even though it appears they've now reformulated—removing hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup from their cookies—we'll never forget the choke-hold this snack brand had on diet culture.
100 Calorie PacksWhile 100 Calorie Packs are still readily available at most grocery stores, when they first dropped in 2004, they were all the rage. In Kraft Foods' first year of launching these miniature snack packs, they reportedly generated $75 million in sales.
With flavors like Oreo and Chips Ahoy! Thin Crisps and Oreo, Chips Ahoy! and Nutter Butter bars, these portion-controlled snacks offered people a taste of their favorite treat without "going overboard" on calories. Unfortunately, most of these snacks offered a dose of sugar without much nourishment, leaving snackers hungrier than when they first pulled open the bag.

♬ original sound - 90zKidsClubCereal was a lifestyle in the late '90s/early 2000s. My favorite childhood cereals—including Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cookie Crisp—are near and dear to me. I still enjoy a bowl of the available options now and then, just for that little taste of nostalgia.
But back in the day, cereal companies spent a lot of money transforming their products into a health halo. While there were (and are today) many nutritionally dense cereals on the market, there were a ton of varieties that could have used a boost of fiber and protein and less sugar overall. By the way, does anyone else remember Magix cereal?
Kudos Bars View this post on InstagramDebuting in 1986 but peaking in popularity in the '90s, Kudos Bars were one of those snacks that made your eyes light up when you noticed mom had packed one in your Wild Thornberrys-themed lunch box. They were developed to offer a "healthier" candy bar, but contained nine times as much sugar as protein and fiber. While earlier versions offered flavors such as nutty fudge, chocolate chip, and peanut butter, later varieties featured fan-favorite candy flavors, notably M&M's, Snickers and Dove Chocolate.
"Kudos Bars were a banger. I can't believe they're not around anymore," said one Reddit user. "You know, in hindsight, maybe these weren't the healthiest snack," responded another person. And they're not wrong—there's certainly a place for sweet treats in a well-balanced diet, but the marketing sure deceived us.
Trix Yogurt View this post on Instagram"Trix yogurt used to be the bomb back in the day—cotton candy and strawberry punch were my 2 favorites," said one Reddit fan. Others noted that it's still available at some big-box stores. Regardless, peeling back the top on one of these cups to reveal the mix of brightly colored, creamy yogurt was a highlight of our childhood. Yoplait really hit the mark on this one, given kids loved the Trix cereal bunny and were delighted to see it adorned on a "new" snack like yogurt.
Milk 'n Cereal BarsIn the early 2000s, General Mills came out with Milk 'n Cereal Bars that were designed for kids and adults alike who needed a quick, no-cook breakfast option that resembled a bowl of cereal with milk, but could be enjoyed in the car on the way to school. I clearly remember consuming the Honey Nut Cheerios, Golden Grahams and Cinnamon Toast Crunch versions (and let's be honest—they were delicious), but after looking back on the ingredients list, it appears the "milk filling" was simply not the same as drinking a glass of milk.
I will give it to them, though—they fortified these bars with 13 vitamins and minerals, so all was not lost. And while a similar product remains on shelves, super fans claim they're not even remotely the same as the original.
Heinz EZ Squirt Ketchup View this post on InstagramNot a snack, per se, but it deserves a spot on this list, as we were drizzling this green, purple, blue, pink, teal and orange condiment on just about everything. With names like Blastin' Green, Funky Purple, Stellar Blue, Passion Pink, Totally Teal and Awesome Orange, kids couldn't resist tossing a bottle of this stuff in the shopping cart, hoping our parents wouldn't notice. Unfortunately, this artificial-dye-filled sauce was removed from shelves in 2006.
Yogos @madiheartsDo you miss these? #yogos #yogosbits #brandhistory #snacknostalgia #early2000snostalgia #2000s
♬ original sound - Madi HeartsWhile I sadly don't remember these little yogurt-covered fruit snacks, apparently, many Millennials on social media do. Launched in the early 2000s, they offered snack-size packs in flavors such as Crazy Berries, Strawberry Slam, and Berry-Berry Banana, with a colorful shell and a chewy interior. Kids went wild for them, but ultimately, they were discontinued in 2006 because parents deemed them not so healthy after all.

Quaker Instant Oatmeal Sea Adventures View this post on InstagramInstant oatmeal was a game-changer in the world of convenience breakfasts. Flavors expanded beyond staples like maple and brown sugar to Quaker's Sea Adventures, turning the first meal of the day into a full-blown activity. Blue clumps were mixed into the instant oatmeal, which, when heated, revealed divers and sea creatures. These little morsels were, of course, filled with sugar and turned your oats blue. (How rad!) Sadly, Quaker discontinued it in 2001.

♬ original sound - 90s2000s.commercialsWhile peanuts and peanut butter in their natural form are nutrient-dense foods, many peanut butter varieties contain added sugar and hydrogenated oils to make them more palatable and shelf-stable. With the '90s and early 2000s being the peak of convenience food product development, Skippy launched Squeeze Stix—peanut butter that came in a pouch that could be consumed as a snack, right out of the tube.
In the comments section of a TikTok video replaying an old-school commercial for the snack, one person replied, "We were really eating peanut butter like Gogurt." And you know—that's not a bad thing, but in this case, we're thankful there are healthier options available on the shelves these days.
Cereal Straws View this post on InstagramCereal Straws were brought to life in the early 2000s as a way for kids to "play with their food," essentially. Kids love interactive activities, especially when it comes to eating, so the marketing on this product was impressive. With a slogan of "dip, sip, munch", the concept of the straws was to stick it in the cereal bowl, sip the milk, then munch on the straw when you were done. They were available in Cocoa Krispies, Apple Jacks and Froot Loops flavors, all with a sweet, milky center.
In 2009, Kellogg's and other snack and cereal companies faced pressure from consumers to reduce marketing of sugary foods to children. So, they nixed Cereal Straws from their lineup. However, a modernized version appears to be available at many popular retailers as of 2025.
BeveragesI'd be disappointed in myself if I didn't mention some of the fan-favorite beverages from the '90s that provided countless sugar highs. Genius marketing strategies led us to believe that fruit-flavored or sparkling water beverages were almost always a nutritious option—better than soda, at a minimum.
A few notable brands include Fruitopia, Snapple, Clearly Canadian, Brisk Iced Tea, Sunny Delight, Yoo-Hoo and, of course, SoBe Lifewater. One Reddit user recalls purchasing bottles of SoBe Lifewater for $1.88 a pop out of their school's vending machine—in many cases, SoBe and Fruitopia replaced soda as a "healthier" option.
View this post on InstagramWhile I kid about the amount of sugar in some of these beloved snacks from our childhood, the marketing trickery is what really stands out. Looking back, we were just happy our parents kept us fed, doing the best they knew how. Reminiscing about these treats provides us the opportunity to appreciate a seemingly simpler, carefree time—you just had to be there.

International Clash Day Celebrated 23 Years After Punk Hero's Death
Joe Strummer died of a heart attack on Dec. 22, 2002, at the age of 50, yet the music he made with the Clash, as a solo artist, and his last band the Mescaleros lives on today.
The punk icon and his best-known band is being honored on International Clash Day, Feb. 6 by Seattle public radio station KEXP, available for streaming worldwide at KEXP.org, with songs by the Clash and like-minded artists, including Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, Billy Bragg, Bad Bunny and more throughout the day. Interspersed with the music, the station is playing audio clips from Bragg, Tom Morello and others talking about the impact of the Clash on their music and their continuing importance.
International Clash Day was founded on Feb. 7, 2013, by KEXP morning DJ John Richards. On his show this year, Richards acknowledged it’s a made-up holiday, like all holidays, and in the do-it-yourself spirit of punk rock, he encouraged listeners to invent their own holidays.
“We started International Clash Day on the Morning Show over a dozen years ago, more or less on a whim. We just got on a roll playing Clash songs, and didn't want to stop. Simple as that — good music sounds good, so keep playing it,” Richards wrote in a post on the KEXP website.
“But it struck a chord with the listeners. Clearly, there was something bigger going on. So we did it again the next year, and the year after that. The thing kept growing, until we eventually put together a whole international trip complete with a dozen Live on KEXP sessions with favorites like IDLES and Ibibio Sound Machine, and we had civic and world leaders making official proclamations for International Clash Day: the Mayor of Toronto, the Governor of Washington State, Katy Perry's boyfriend, etc.,” he added
This year’s theme of International Clash Day is Know Your Rights!, named after the Clash song featured on the group’s most-commercially successful album, 1982’s Combat Rock. The theme and International Clash Day have seemingly gained even more urgency in the wake of the siege on Minneapolis by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and the subsequent protests and deaths of Alex Pretti and Renée Good.
Along with such Clash classics as “Know Your Rights” and “Somebody Got Murdered,” KEXP DJs are playing such recently release protest songs such as Springsteen’s “Streets of Minneapolis” and Bragg’s “City of Heroes,” as well as protest songs by such artists as Prince, the Chicks, Jesse Welles, Woody Guthrie and others.
Lola Young Will Return to the Stage Following Her Mental Health Hiatus
British singer Lola Young is preparing to return to live performance after taking a necessary hiatus to focus on her mental health and overall well-being—a decision that marked a turning point in both her personal life and burgeoning music career. The musician, best-known for her Grammy Award-winning hit "Messy," has announced she will headline an intimate show at The London Palladium on March 4, 2026, marking her first full concert since her break, and a highly anticipated return following several months away from touring and performing.
"I'm going to be playing my first headline show in a while," she wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. "Performing live is everything to me, and asking you, my fans, to show up for me after canceling my tour is something I don't take for granted."
She added that the "small, intimate show" will only be a one-off, and she won't be able to accommodate tickets for everyone who bought them previously.
"I can only hope that, in time, when I'm able to play bigger shows, that you'll still be willing," she continued. "If you're interested, please click on the website link in my bio to sign up and enter. Thank you all so much for believing in me and giving me this time and space. Love you all."
View this post on InstagramYoung's break came after a scary onstage collapse in September 2025 during a performance at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City. The incident forced her to cancel the remainder of her scheduled tour dates and step back from public life. At the time, she took to social media to explain that she was "going away for a while" in order to work on herself and return stronger, asking her fans for understanding and support.
Throughout her hiatus, Young has been candid about the importance of prioritizing mental health in the demanding music industry. In press remarks at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where she delivered a live piano rendition of "Messy," she spoke openly about the challenges she faced and what the break has meant for her recovery. She also won her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for "Messy," underscoring both her artistic talent and the emotional resonance of her comeback.
