Iconic ’60s Rock Band Shares Exclusive Collaboration 59 Years After Beloved Song

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:52am

Almost 60 years after The Beatles released their dreamy track "I'm Only Sleeping" from their seventh studio album Revolver, the band has teamed up with art publisher Avant Arte to release an exclusive pair of prints from the iconic 2022 music video created by British filmmaker Em Cooper.

The prints, titled Early in the Morning and In the Middle of a Dream, draw their names from the lyrics of the 1966 hit and bring together a collection of stills from Cooper's award-winning music video, with each print consisting of nine still images. The two prints combined feature all four members of The Beatles from the music video, which was created out of over 1,300 individual, hand-painted oil paintings that were made for the 2022 animation.

View this post on Instagram

Both prints go up for sale on March 4 starting at 2 p.m. U.K. time, and will only be available for purchase for 48 hours. They each retail for $663 (with the option to add a frame for an additional cost) with free worldwide shipping. Those interested can go to Avant Arte's website and register their interest to be notified when the prints are released.

The 2022 music video for "I'm Only Sleeping" was Cooper's artistic interpretation of the original Beatles hit—a song about John Lennon's desire to stay in bed all day, usually while under the influence of psychedelic drugs. The video was an instant hit, and in 2024 it was honored with the Grammy Award for Best Music Video.

"I was inspired by the song itself, because the song has just that continuous rocking motion to the melody," Cooper told the Grammys in an interview. "It was as though it was a synesthetic reaction to the song. It felt almost like it just drew itself out in my mind—the movement all kind of choreographed itself around those moments where it's like [sings lyric in dramatic swoop]  'Yawning,' and then it felt like it goes over the top."

The music video made use of "rotoscoped archival footage" combined "with dreamy sequences that reflect the warm, introspective quality of the song," according to the Instagram post The Beatles' released on Friday announcing the limited edition prints.

A true collectors' item, these exclusive prints celebrate the everlasting artistry of The Beatles' music several decades after the band's heyday, highlighting its influence on the culture even today.

Kanye West’s Wife Bianca Censori Says Shocking Nude Outfits Were a ‘Collaboration’ With Husband

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:49am

Bianca Censoriis pushing back on one of the biggest assumptions surrounding her headline-making fashion choices.

In a new Vanity Fair profile published Friday, February 6, the 31-year-old addressed the ongoing conversation around her revealing public appearances, making it clear that her style decisions are her own—not something dictated by husbandKanye West.

“I wouldn’t be doing something I didn’t want to do,” Censori said to the outlet. “Me and my husband would work on my outfits together.”

She emphasized that the process is collaborative, not controlling. “It was like a collaboration, it was never ‘I was being told to do something,’” she explained. “If you were married to Gianni Versace, wouldn’t he give you a dress or something?”

The Australian architect also dismissed speculation that her relationship is performative or fame-driven. “I didn’t marry my husband because I wanted some sort of platform,” she said. “I married him because I love him. Is that like the corniest thing ever?”

Still, Censori acknowledged the reality of being in the spotlight through association. “I’m famous by association,” she said, noting how quickly public perception can spiral once an image circulates online.

Her bold aesthetic has fueled headlines for more than a year, particularly after her appearance at the 2025 Grammys, where she arrived in an oversized coat before revealing a nearly transparent mini dress underneath. West later referred to the look as a custom look design from his Yzy fashion label.

Looking back, Censori doesn’t shy away from her fascination with provocative fashion. She admitted to having “an obvious obsession with nudity,” adding, “I was naked everywhere. I didn’t detach with it at any point. I consistently showed the same imagery over and over and over again.” But, the intention goes beyond shock value. “I live my artwork,” she said, explaining how her wardrobe is her creative identity.

Censori is preparing to debut her performance art project “BIO POP” in Korea, which will be the first installment of a seven-year installment.

The interview also comes after reports of strain in the couple’s relationship. Sources told People that Censori “had been very unhappy in their marriage for a while and tried to get out a number of times,” as West continued managing bipolar disorder. One insider said, “He’s been in this vicious cycle for years. When he’s not in a good space mentally, he tends to create so much drama, which then has lasting consequences.” The pair briefly split earlier in 2025 before reconciling, with West later tellingVanity Fairin a separate article that a depressive episode led them to seek treatment together in Switzerland.

The creative married West in 2022, just one year year after his divorce from wife Kim Kardashian. Together, Kardashian and West are father to four children: North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6.

The Man Inside the 'Star Wars' Mandalorian Armor: 'I Died and Came Back to Life'

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:43am

For fans, The Mandalorian watch a Star Wars series about survival, loyalty, and purpose. For Brendan Wayne, a primary 'suit actor' inside the iconic Mandalorian armor, (with Pedro Pascal providing the voice), those themes were real life.

On Katee Sackhoff’s podcast, he opened up about medical emergencies that left him close to death and the moment that brought him back.

Wayne experienced a life-threatening medical emergency at the start of Season 2 where a hernia patch tore his intestine, leading to sever sepsis. He spent 42 days in the ICU, underwent four surgeries, and reported that his condition was so critical he 'died and came back to life.'

He described a time when he was mostly unconscious under heavy medication. Despite the disorientation, one memory stood out: floating in an in-between space, fully aware, when he heard a nurse say, 'It’s okay. You can let it go.' At first, he believed she was giving him permission to die.

'I realized it wasn’t that my family needed me,' Wayne said. 'It was that I needed them. I needed their love.' That realization, he says, was enough to pull him back. 'I wanted to be part of their lives, to experience their love and support. That gave me the strength to return.'

Returning to work on Disney+'s The Mandalorian became a critical part of his recovery. The routine, responsibility, and community kept him focused. 'I had my kids at home,' he said, 'and then I got to set and thought, ‘I’ve got family here. I’ve got Mandalorian.’ It gave me structure and purpose at a moment I really needed it.'

One early day back was physically demanding. Still healing, he had to dive across the floor during a scene while his youngest daughter watched. When he got up, she said, 'I texted Mom. I’m telling Mom!'

Related: Marcia Lucas, Ex-Wife of 'Star Wars' Creator George Lucas: 'I Don’t Think He’s Ever Forgiven Me'

The crew also became a lifeline. On a day when he felt overwhelmed and ready to walk off set, Sackhoff (who plays fellow Mandalorian Bo Katan) and others sensed his distress and began singing, lifting his spirits. 'They saved me from making a bad choice,' he said. 'Even small gestures can make an enormous difference. It reminded me why community matters, and why people supporting each other is essential, both on set and in life.'

He credits his mother for teaching him the lesson that carried him through: wherever you are, it’s your responsibility to bring people with you. 'You can’t do it alone,' he said. 'Success and survival aren’t solitary achievements. They’re about relationships, trust, and mutual support.'

For the man inside the helmet, The Mandalorian was proof that family, both the one you’re born into and the one you find, can pull you back when you’re closest to letting go.

Dee Snider, 70, Quits Twisted Sister After 50 Years Over 'Health Challenges'

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:36am

For over half a century, Dee Sniderhas been a madman of rock, leading the gender-bending, head-banging heavy metal group, Twisted Sister. With a mane of blonde curly hair and a defiant sneer, he helped propel the band to hair metal heaven with songs like "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It."

But that legendary tenure came to an end on Feb. 5, when Dee, 70, quit the band.

"Due to the sudden and unexpected resignation of Twisted Sister's lead singer, Dee Snider, brought on by a series of health challenges, the band has been forced to cancel all shows scheduled," read the statement posted online. Twisted Sister planned to embark on a 50th Anniversary reunion tour this year. The celebration would have kicked off on Apr. 25 in São Paulo, Brazil, but that and all other shows are now off.

"The future of Twisted Sister will be determined in the next several weeks," concluded the statement signed by bandmembers Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda.

View this post on Instagram

Snider posted a separate statement on the main Twisted Sister website, explaining why he quit the band. Citing a "lifetime of legendarily aggressive performing," Snider revealed that he "suffers from degenerative arthritis and has had several surgeries over the years just to keep going, able to only perform a few songs at a time in pain."

Snider also revealed that the "intensity" of his performances has "taken a toll on his heart, as well," and he can no longer "push the boundaries of rock 'n' roll fury."

"I don't know of any other way to rock," said Snider. "The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I'd rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self."

Twisted Sister initially retired from touring in 2016 with their "40 and F--- It" farewell tour. But in September, they announced plans to celebrate their milestone anniversary.

"If you're lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years(!), how can you not answer the call?" Snider declared in a press release. "In 2026, Twisted F---ing Sister will hit stages around the world because WE STILL WANNA ROCK!!"

Months after announcing the reunion, Snider revealed it was his call to do the anniversary tour, but he was having regrets about going back on the road.

"Why am I doing a reunion with Twisted Sister?" he asked on an episode of Steve and Rik's Potcast. Citing a "health scare" that made him contemplate if he wanted to "go silently or do I wanna go kicking and screaming," Snider decided to give it one last shot, despite saying he would never tour again.

But… emotional circumstances made me change my mind," he remarked. "Am I regretting it? A little bit right now, sorry to say."

Lactaid Gets Its First Line of Coffee Creamers—See the Flavors

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:28am

Lactaid is entering the coffee creamer aisle.

For the first time ever, fans of the lactose-free dairy brand can swirl its recipes—made with real milk and cream—into their coffee (or dirty soda) without worrying about stomach upset like they would if they opted to use regular dairy creamer, or needing extra syrups on hand for added flavor if they opted for the unflavored original Lactaid milk.

It may seem like a small update, but it's a significant win for those looking to avoid lactose and still enjoy "indulgent flavor in every cup."

Lactaid Debuts New Coffee Creamers in 3 Flavors

Lactaid's new line of coffee creamers is debuting in three "delicious" flavors: French Vanilla, Caramel and Sweet Cream. Each recipe features five "simple" ingredients and is free from artificial flavors and gums.

Its caramel-flavored offering is also earning five stars online, with one reviewer noting they were "Very pleasantly surprised" by it, saying "it’s not overly sweet" and "definitely has a good caramel taste and you can taste the real cream as well."

"Will be purchasing again. Love that it only has 5 ingredients," they added.

Its Sweet Cream coffee creamer is "rich and creamy," and reviewers say they "absolutely love it."

Lactaid debuts coffee creamers (L-R): French Vanilla, Caramel, and Sweet Cream.

Lactaid

The new line is already earning celebrity endorsements, withSummer House alum Hannah Berner calling it an everyday essential.

"My go-to is an iced coffee with Lactaid Creamer and Lactaid Milk because I love rich, sweet treat-flavor, just without the lactose," Berner shared in a statement, adding, "Lactaid nailed it with these new coffee creamers–especially the Sweet Cream flavor — they’re the perfect way to start my day."

Lactaid is so confident consumers will love the new line that the company is hosting a special pop-up cafe in New York City (the Lactaid Taste Buds Cafe, located at 393 Broadway) with the reality TV personality and comedian on Thursday, Feb. 12, where guests can enjoy tastings from coffee to dirty sodas, win exclusive prizes, and explore the cafe’s interactive elements like an aura-reading experience.

According to the press release shared with Parade, Berner will be on-site to host the exclusive early-access hour from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., kicking off the day and welcoming guests as they explore the new coffee creamers, before the pop-up opens to the public. Fans must RSVP online ahead of the exclusive early session to gain entry. The Lactaid Taste Buds Cafe will then open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. No ticket is required, but entry is subject to capacity.

As for the creamers, the brand expects them to be available now in the dairy aisle of stores that sell other Lactaid products, including its lactose-free milk, ice cream, cottage cheese and sour cream (prices may vary).

Famed ’90s Alt-Rock Band to Release Long-Lost Songs for Record Store Day

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:24am

For Weezer fans, the band’s early years have long carried a special significance. Now, a newly discovered set of recordings from that period is finally being released. The band has announced 1192, a collection of Weezer’s earliest studio sessions, arriving as a limited vinyl release for Record Store Day 2026 on April 18.

The album takes its name from November 1992, when the recordings were first made. Founding bassist Matt Sharpuncovered the material while reviewing a collection of 'lost-album' master tapes from his archives. Among them was a multi-track reel of analog tape that turned out to contain Weezer’s very first studio sessions, recordings that ultimately helped the band secure their record deal ahead of their 1994 self-titled debut, commonly known as the Blue Album.

1192 features the band’s original lineup: Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Matt Sharp, and guitarist Jason Cropper. That configuration existed briefly but played a crucial role in shaping Weezer’s earliest sound. The sessions capture early versions of songs that would later become mainstays of the band’s catalog, including 'Say It Ain’t So,' 'Undone (The Sweater Song),' 'No One Else,' and 'Surf Wax America.'

Sharp approached the project as a standalone release. He reunited with producerJoe Chiccarelli to remix the recordings from tape to vinyl using a fully analog process. The work was completed at EastWest Studios in Los Angeles, a space known for hosting historic sessions by artists such as the Beach Boys and Frank Sinatra. The goal, according to the release notes, was to preserve the original intent and energy of the performances while honoring the recording technology of the era.

The resulting album presents Weezer in a much more raw form than fans are used to. Several tracks appear in multiple versions, including alternate vocal-and-guitar mixes and an acoustic take on “Undone,” offering a look at how the songs evolved.

Here's full tracklist:

Side One
01. No One Else - Take 1 (1192 Mix)
02. Say It Ain’t So -Take 2 (1192 Mix)
03. Undone – The Sweater Song (1192 Acoustic Mix)
04. The World Has Turned And Left Me Here (1192 Mix)
05. Surf Wax America (1192 Mix)
Side Two
06. Say It Ain’t So (1192 Vocal and Guitar Mix)
07. The World Has Turned And Left Me Here (1192 Vocal and Guitar Mix)
08. Undone – The Sweater Song (1192 Band Mix)
09. No One Else - Take 2 (1192 Mix)
10. Say It Ain’t So - Take 1 (1192 Mix))

Only 3,000 copies of 1192 will be pressed as a Record Store Day “RSD First” release. 1192 will be available at participating independent record stores on April 18.

'The View' Host Finds Out She's Related to Two U.S. Presidents

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:15am

A host on ABC’s The View just uncovered a surprising family connection: she’s related to two U.S. presidents.

Sarah Haines discovered the connection during an appearance on the series Finding Your Roots, hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Gates appeared on the show's February 5th episode.

A clip from Haines' appearance was shared on the morning news series. It showed her shock after finding out she was related to the government officals.

"Do you know who that is?" Gates Jr. asks Haines in the footage, shared on the series' Facebook page. The portrait is of John Adams.

"He looks like a lot of people in my history book," Haines replies, before her realization that it's the second U.S. president. Gates Jr. told her, "He is your third cousin, nine times removed!"

She responded, "Oh my God. I'm related to a president! And he was a good one!"

Gates Jr. then told Haines, during his View appearance, that she was related to yet another president. Adams's son, John Quincy Adams, was the sixth president of the United States.

He explained that only one guest in the history of the series was related to a president, and that was filmmaker Michael Moore. Haines is the first celebrity guest related to two officehoders.

"We only had one other guest in the history of the series who was related to a president, unhappily so, and that was Michael Moore, who was related to Herbert Hoover. You are our first guest, happily related to two United States presidents!" Haines is related to both presidents via her maternal grandfather.

Sarah Haines's relation to two presidents of the United States is an ironic twist. It’s a surprising connection that adds a whole new layer to her public persona.

The View features Haines, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, who discuss current events, pop culture, and politics. Since its debut in 1997, the show has blended lively debates and interviews with celebrities and newsmakers.

Savannah Guthrie’s Missing Mom: Longtime Friend Sends Strong Message as Emotions Run High

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:15am

Savannah Guthrie's dear friend Hoda Kotb returned to Today on Friday, Feb. 6 where she talked about Guthrie's missing mother, Nancy Guthrie.

JUST IN: Savannah Guthrie’s Mom’s Location Could Be Nearby Per Unverified Ransom Note: Harvey Levin

"This whole thing is breaking my heart and I’m happy to be sitting here with you,” Kotb said. "I picture Savannah sitting there. I just want to say good morning and everybody’s hoping and praying for Nancy’s safe return."

While sitting at a table with Carson Daly, Craig Melvin, and Sheinelle Jones, Kotb recalled some of the critical times that Savannah was there for her colleagues over the years.

View this post on Instagram

"We’re all so close with her, we all want to help her," she added. “I’m looking at us and I was thinking, ‘Who was first in the hospital when [my daughter] Hope was sick? Savannah. Who hopped on a plane when [Carson Daly's] parents [died]? Savannah. Who was sitting by [Sheinelle’s late husband] Uche [Ojeh]’s side? How about when your brother passed, [Craig]? She was there.'"

Everyone at the table seemed somber and reflective as they thought about Savannah's friendship and how she's the person who is now in need. While there isn't much Savannah's colleagues can do, Kotb stressed the importance of hope and prayer.

Nancy, 84, went missing from her home in Arizona on Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities believe that she may have been abducted in the middle of the night.

When Nancy was first reported missing, Kotb took to Instagram to share a message that simply read "hope." In the time since, she has shared several additional posts about Nancy, encouraging her Instagram followers to continue praying.

JetBlue's Next Plane is Basically a Flying Love Letter to the Dominican Republic

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:10am

If you’ve ever looked out an airport window and thought, Why are airplanes always so boring?—JetBlue has an answer. This spring, the airline is debuting its first-ever special aircraft livery honoring the Dominican Republic, and it’s bright, bold and full of meaning.

The design comes from Dominican artist Willy Gómez and was chosen by public vote as part of JetBlue’s RD Orgullo que Eleva (“DR Pride That Lifts”) campaign. The idea was simple: invite artists to interpret Dominican culture in their own way, then let the community decide which design should take to the skies. Gómez’s winning artwork will soon wrap a Airbus A320 flying across JetBlue’s network.

The result is a plane that doesn’t just get you from Point A to Point B—it tells a story along the way. Gómez’s design pulls from music, movement and coastal life, with expressive lines and vibrant colors that reflect the energy of the Dominican Republic. It’s the kind of plane you’ll notice immediately from the gate—and maybe even hope you’re boarding.

“Seeing this art take flight is seeing my roots rise,” said Gómez. “It’s a tribute to my country, to its color, its energy and the inspiration that has been with me always."

Related: JetBlue is Adding New Ways to Reach This Caribbean Island Hot Spot

View this post on Instagram

For JetBlue, the project is also personal. The airline has deep roots in the Dominican Republic, dating back to 2004 when Santiago became its first international destination. Today, JetBlue is the largest airline serving the country, connecting families, supporting tourism, and helping millions of travelers move back and forth every year.

“We’re proud to bring Dominican pride to the skies with JetBlue’s first livery dedicated to the Dominican Republic, designed by Willy Gómez and chosen by the community,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue in a statement. “This aircraft is a celebration of the culture, creativity and energy of a country that has played a central role in JetBlue’s history. From opening Santiago, our first international destination in 2004, to becoming the largest airline serving the Dominican Republic, we are excited to celebrate more than two decades of service and connection.”

That’s what makes this livery more than just a cool paint job. It’s meant as a visible nod to the people and culture that have long been part of JetBlue’s story.

Related: JetBlue's New Plane is Covered in Boston Easter Eggs

The campaign launched earlier this year and featured three original concepts by Dominican artists, each inspired by everyday life, folklore, and national identity. While only one design could win, the response showed just how much pride people feel seeing their culture represented in unexpected places—like 30,000 feet in the air.

The newly painted aircraft is expected to debut later this spring. So next time you’re spotting planes on the runway, don’t be surprised if one of them looks more like a mural than a machine.

TV Chef, 43, Generates Buzz — and Growls — in Nissan's New Super Bowl Ad for Foodies

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 8:06am

Who's your favorite character on The Bear?

Even if you're not all caught up, chances are the foodies in us all have at least tuned in for some of FX's Emmy-winning series, whose fifth season has already been greenlit.

Among its scene-stealing players is celebrity chef Matty Matheson, who once took the stage to accept an award for the Jeremy Allen White-led show and told the prestigious crowd he had never acted before joining The Bear. Well, he sure is great in it!

He's also superb in an all-new Super Bowl commercial promoting the Nissan Rogue that was just unveiled as we count down the days until Feb. 8.

As one of the most anticipated marketing moments of the year approaches, the car brand is redefining how it generates buzz — and stomach growls — during the Big Game, and how this year’s strategy is designed for the foodie in each and every one of us. Check out the full spot below.

In signature Matheson humor, Nissan was certainly bold this around, inventing a new feature called the "Dip Seat" solely for the sake of its comical new ad — even though the car-friendly contraption is "not yet real" (according to the spot's deadpan disclaimer).

Nissan had also dropped a pair of teasers earlier this week before finally unveiling its new commercial. Watch below as Matheson, 43, almost "spilled the beans" on the company's Super Bowl spot in the clever promo posted to YouTube on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Matheson certainly has been keeping busy outside of this latest venture and his work on The Bear, meanwhile. Late last year, for instance, Netflix acquired exclusive global rights to season 3 of his cooking seriesJust A DashDeadline reported. The streaming giant also took hold of the show’s first two seasons and launched them all on Jan. 20.

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 7:45am

It’s safe to say that we all have Olympics fever. A few years ago, Simone Biles cemented Team USA's gold medal win with her near-perfect routine at the 2024 Paris Games, making her the most decorated US gymnast in Olympic history.

How to Make Simone Biles’ S’mores Cookies

Break apart your cookie dough into individual pieces and flatten each piece. Then, smoosh in a piece of graham cracker, half a marshmallow (cut with kitchen shears) and a piece of chocolate. Wrap the cookie dough around the fillings as thoroughly as you can. Put the filled cookies on a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet and bake at 375° for 12 to 14 minutes.

What I Thought of Simone Biles’ S’mores Cookies Platter of Simone Biles' s'mores cookies

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

At first, I was skeptical. How good could these really be compared to a classic s'more? Wouldn't the chocolate fall out? Wouldn't the marshmallow burn? I had so many questions! But after a little trial and error and one taste, I knew I had stuck the landing with a really great recipe.

This treat is exactly what it promises: a s'mores-flavored cookie. The larger you make your s'mores cookies, the more opportunity you have to stuff them with all of the great s'mores stuff.

Simone Biles' cookies were chewy from the slightly caramelized marshmallow with chocolatey bits studded throughout. My favorite part was the graham cracker because it reminded me of making gooey s'mores sitting in front of a late summer campfire—but without the sticky fingers.

Related: How to Make Foil Packet S'mores

Tips for Making Simone Biles’ S’mores Cookies
  1. Smoosh in order. Make sure when you're smooshing the ingredients into the cookie dough, you do it in this order: flattened cookie dough, graham cracker, marshmallow and chocolate. Then, flip so the chocolate side is face down on the baking sheet—or try to wrap up the stuffing as well as you can in the cookie dough. Trust me, I tested out every possible combination and this was the best in terms of ingredients holding up in the oven and preventing them from leaking out of the cookie dough and burning.
  2. Use whatever cookie dough you have on hand. I used sugar cookie dough because it's what I had on hand and I highly recommend it. The subtle sweetness acted as the perfect base for the s'mores mix-ins without knocking out all the others flavors.
  3. Don't over-bake. The longer you bake these cookies, the more likely it is that the marshmallow will ooze out of the cookie dough, caramelize and even burn on the pan.

The Soft-Shaping Cut Stylists 'Absolutely' Recommend for Women Over 50

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

If you’re over 50 and looking for a hairstyle that’s flattering and low-maintenance, the bixie haircut is about to become your new obsession. Part bob, part pixie, this hybrid cut offers the best of both worlds—the structure of a bob with the playful, airy movement of a pixie. Its ability to frame the face beautifully while still feeling soft and approachable is unmatched, making it a favorite for women over 50 who want a youthful, refreshed look without going too short or drastic.

What makes the bixie especially flattering for mature women is the way it softens features while adding texture and shape. The cut uses strategic layering to create "soft-shaping," which means the hair gently curves around the face, enhancing cheekbones, jawlines and even the neck without looking harsh or overworked. Plus, the blend of layers and subtle graduation makes this cut perfect for fine or medium hair, and it grows out gracefully, so maintenance isn’t a headache.

Who does the bixie work best on? Practically everyone, though it’s especially good for those 50+ wanting a chic, modern style that doesn’t require daily effort. It’s a cut that feels stylish but approachable (yet never severe) and can be dressed up or down depending on your mood. Sound ideal? Read on for tips and inspiration from a celebrity stylist on the best bixie haircuts over 50, and how to wear the style, from subtle and soft to bold and edgy.

Pros and Cons of a Bixie Haircut for Mature Women

The bixie is "incredibly flattering because it blends the ease of a pixie with the softness of a bob," says celebrity stylist Marcos Diaz, who has styled the likes of Hailey Bieber and Katy Perry. "It lifts the face, highlights the cheekbones and creates natural volume at the crown."

When done well, it feels feminine and effortless—not severe or dated. The cut’s versatility is a major win, and it grows out more gracefully than a traditional pixie, making it perfect for women over 50 who want style without constant upkeep.

That said, Diaz cautions that customization is key.

"If a bixie is cut too blunt or too short through the sides, it can feel harsh. Face shape, hair texture and lifestyle all play an important role," he warns. In short, the bixie delivers major style points when tailored correctly, but it needs a thoughtful hand to truly shine.

What Hair Texture Is Best for a Bixie Cut?

Everyone can rock a bixie, but it shines extra bright on those with "fine to medium hair textures," says Diaz, especially those with "a natural wave or bend." These textures allow the layers to "move and separate naturally, giving the cut that effortless, lived-in feel."

He adds that straight hair can also wear a bixie beautifully with soft internal layering, while very coarse or tightly curled hair may need a bit more length and careful shaping to maintain balance. The result is a cut that feels airy and dynamic, perfectly adaptable to a variety of hair types without losing its signature softness.

7 Best Bixie Haircuts for Over 50, According to a Celebrity Stylist1. Grown-Out Pixie

Jesse Grant/Getty Images for Disney

Jamie Lee Curtis proves a bixie can feel both timeless and playful. The "soft layering around the crown and hairline" keeps the look "feminine and timeless," says Diaz, adding lift and movement without weighing hair down.

For at-home styling, a touch of Bumble and bumble Texture Hair Styling Cream works beautifully—and air-dry or finger-blow-dry to let the layers fall naturally. When booking at the salon, "ask for a soft bixie with diffused edges and movement" to keep it elegant without stiffness, perfect for fine or thinning hair.

2. Beachy Waves Bixie

Leon Bennett/FilmMagic

Sharon Stone proves that a bixie can be both elegant and versatile. Diaz notes that the "slight length through the front adds elegance and flexibility," giving the hair a natural frame that softens the face and highlights cheekbones.

This cut is particularly flattering for women over 50 thanks to how easily it moves with hair texture that may be finer or thinner than in younger years. To style, a touch of amika Un.Done Texture Spray and a gentle bend with your fingers is all you need to make the layers come alive.

At the salon, "ask for a bixie with longer face-framing pieces and airy texture" to achieve a look that feels soft, and approachable, advises Diaz.

3. Voluminous Bixie

Weiss Eubanks/NBCUniversal via Getty Images

If you're looking to channel some sophistication, Emma Thompson’s bixie is the perfect inspiration. Diaz describes it as "prioritizing movement and texture over sharp lines," which keeps the style modern while softening the face—essential for mature hair that can sometimes appear flat or heavy.

This cut is especially forgiving for fine or thinning hair, as the layers add lift at the crown and a natural bounce throughout. Best yet? Styling at home is simple, just a dab of dae Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream and a little scrunching lets the cut move organically.

4. Chic Layered Bixie

Dominique Maitre/WWD via Getty Images

A bixie doesn’t have to be severe to be sophisticated, and Helen Mirren's cut proves it.

Diaz says it’s "polished but never stiff with softness at the hairline," giving the face instant lift while keeping things playful. The layers float around the crown, subtly highlighting cheekbones and jawlines—perfect for mature women who want a modern, flattering shape without feeling overdone.

At the salon, "ask for a refined bixie with volume and soft edges," and you’ll walk out with a cut that looks intentionally chic yet oh-so effortless.

5. Side-Swept Bixie

Shane Anthony Sinclair/Getty Images

Less really can be more. A bixie like Robin Wright's is all about clean lines, airy layers and letting the hair do its own thing. Diaz calls it "minimal, modern and confident," which is exactly why it works for mature hair, thanks to how it moves with the face, frames it softly and feels natural at every angle.

Styling is a breeze—a dab of styling cream and a quick air-dry is enough to let the cut shine without overthinking. At the salon, be sure to "ask for a low-maintenance bixie that feels natural and undone," and you’ll get a cut that’s just as stylish as it is wearable day-to-day.

6. Textured Bixie

Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images

If your hair craves movement, a bixie with layers (á la Meg Ryan) is your secret weapon. Diaz notes that "texture and movement keep the cut relaxed and youthful," which is especially flattering for finer or aging hair that can sometimes feel flat. The mid-length crown adds lift, while layers let the ends bounce naturally, giving off that effortless, tousled energy.

For that red carpet look, lightly scrunch with mousse and let it air-dry for soft, lived-in waves. Just be sure to "ask for a lived-in bixie with movement" when at the salon, warns Diaz, so you’ll leave with a cut that’s playful and full of personality.

7. Curly Bixie

Mike Coppola/Getty Images

Curly girls get the last word here—and it’s a good one. This bixie proves that texture isn’t something to tame, it’s the whole focus. Diaz says "the best bixie haircuts are all about softness, movement and customization," and on curls like Sophia Roe's, that philosophy really comes alive.

The ovular shape builds fullness in all the right places, while those mini front pieces add a flirty, face-framing moment that feels modern, not fussy. The crown layers keep curls buoyant instead of bulky, which is key for mature hair.

Styling stays refreshingly low-effort, just a little cream or mousse, a scrunch and done. It’s confident, cool, and lets curls show up exactly as they are—just better.

Elvis Presley's Final Studio Sessions Reflected Personal Struggles: Expert

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 7:32am

Elvis Presley’s last recordings hint at his personal struggles in the mid-’70s, an expert says.

The YouTube seriesGates of Graceland takes viewers beyond the usual tour, offering a closer look at life inside Presley’s world. Vice President of Archives and Exhibits Angie Marchese, along with Tom Brown, guides fans behind the scenes of both the king’s public fame and private life.

In a 2017 episode, the duo discusses the Jungle Room Sessions, which began on February 3, 1976, right in the entertainer's home. These were Presley's last professional recordings.

Brown shared that all the songs on the subsequent album release, From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee, all had a "theme." He added, "I noticed where Elvis' mind must have been at the time."

Marchese added, "The sessions are so iconic. Him being in his house and being comfortable in his environment." Presley stood right in front of the kitchen to perform, while the musicians were set up in the room, which had been stripped of its iconic furniture for the sessions.

"He was going through a lot. The songs they were singing and the choices he was making at the time really have that whole tone that he was going through something."

She concluded, "With everyone's music, you express yourself with what's going on in your life. At that point, the music that Elvis was producing was exactly what he was going through."

Ten songs comprised the album, such as "Hurt," "Never Again," "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," "Danny Boy," and "The Last Farwell" filling side one. Side two included "For the Heart," "Bitter They Are, Harder They Fall," "Solitaire," "Love Coming Down," and "I'll Never Fall in Love Again."

Other songs from the session went into Moody Blue, Presley’s 24th and final studio album. The record captured the king’s last moments in the studio, offering fans a poignant glimpse of his final creative chapter.

However, there were many lighthearted moments during the reflective recording process, when RCA Records brought a mobile recording unit to the home to capture what would be the infamous sessions. Marchese said that during the raw takes, before they were refined by the record company, the telephone was ringing.

During those sessions, Presley also famously gave friends shirts out of his closet, Marchese explained. "[His daughter] Lisa Marie (Presley) talked about it because she was here, she remembered those sessions happening. The house was alive; there was a lot of music and fun going on."

Elvis Presley died at his beloved Graceland home on August 16, 1977. He was 42.

Savannah Guthrie's Mom: Neighbors Come Forward With Eerie Information as Search Heads Into Day 6

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 7:15am

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, and authorities are working around the clock to find her. After a fun night of dinner and games at her daughter's home on Saturday, Jan. 31, law enforcement believes that Nancy, 84, was abducted from her home in the overnight hours.

As the search for Nancy enters day six on Friday, Feb. 6, new eerie details of what neighbors claim to have seen in the days leading up to Nancy's disappearance.

One of Nancy's neighbors Brett McIntire told the New York Post that he'd noticed an unmarked white van parked on the street days before Nancy went missing.

“It was somewhere on that street. It was a white van, full-sized, with no printing on the sides. It was parked on the street," McIntire, who lives across the street from Nancy, told the outlet. "Normally people that are coming to work on your home will have a company vehicle or if they’re independent something written on it."

On Thursday, Feb. 5, Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz was outside Nancy's home and said that a neighbor had approached the media with possible information.

"A neighbor whose backyard touches Nancy Guthrie’s backyard just told reporters outside the home that she came to try and report a tip to detectives. She would not elaborate but said she saw something and wanted to report it," Ruiz wrote on X.

We Tried Making the Famous Olympic Village Chocolate Muffins and Now We Get the Hype

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 7:15am

If you watched the Summer Olympics in 2024, then you probably saw Simone Biles become the most decorated gymnast in women's gymnastics and Team USA grab gold in basketball—not to mention the somewhat confounding debut of breaking (aka breakdancing).

Another star of the 2024 games? The Olympic Village. Thanks to social media, we got the inside scoop on the Village, including some off-hours Taylor Swift friendship bracelet crafting and the athletes' thoughts on those cardboard beds.

And then there was the food. One item in particular took on a life of its own: the Olympic Villagechocolate muffins. Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen was a huge fan of the baked good and shared his passion on his TikTok page, and news soon spread far and wide.

The catering company behind the Olympic Village food wouldn't share the recipe for the famous chocolate muffins, but since when has a detail like that stopped the internet from doing its thing?

In fairly short order, copycat recipes started popping up, including versions from New York Times Cooking and one of my favorite baking creators, Sarah Fennel of @bromabakery

When I saw her video of her copycat version of the viral Olympic chocolate muffin, I knew I had to give it a try. It was a trifecta of chocolaty goodness: moist chocolate cake, dark chocolate chips and a homemade chocolate ganache filling.

It looked incredible, but would it live up to the hype? Here's what happened when I tried it in my kitchen.

Get the recipe: Copycat Olympic Village Chocolate Muffins

Ingredients for the Olympic Village Chocolate Muffins

Nathan Hutsenpiller

Besides the soft moist bite and gooey melted chocolate, what really shines about this recipe is that you might have the majority of the ingredients on hand. You’ll need melted unsalted butter, light brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, Greek yogurt, buttermilk, heavy cream, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and a bag of chocolate chips.

In addition to the ingredients, you’ll want to have a whisk, a large mixing bowl, a spatula, a muffin pan and a handful of muffin cups handy.

How to Make the Olympic Village Chocolate Muffins

Nathan Hutsenpiller

Fennel based her muffins on the Double Chocolate Muffin recipe on her website, and then explained the adjustments she made to turn that recipe into an Olympic muffin copycat in her video.

You'll start by preheating the oven to 425° and lining a muffin tray with 12 cupcake liners. In keeping with the elevated Olympic muffin vibes, I went the fancy route and created tulip cups out of 6-inch squared pieces of parchment paper, but muffin cups will do just fine. If you don’t have muffin cups or parchment paper on hand, make sure to grease the muffin tin thoroughly.

While the oven preheats, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until combined, then whisk in the eggs one egg at a time until the mixture is frothy. Add the vanilla, Greek yogurt and buttermilk and stir everything together. Next add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt, mixing until just combined.

For light, tender muffins, try not to overmix. Finally, add the chocolate chips and mix once or twice just to distribute them evenly.

Using a large ice cream scoop or a ⅓ measuring cup, divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin tins. If you want larger muffins, use ½ cup of batter per muffin, which will give you 6 jumbo muffins. Bake at 425° for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to 375°F and continue to bake for 15 more minutes.

While the muffins bake, you'll make the chocolate ganache that goes inside the muffins. To make the ganache, heat ½ cup of heavy cream until hot (not boiling), then dump in ½ cup of chocolate chips. Let that sit for a minute or so while the warm heavy cream melts the chocolate chips, then come back and stir together until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Set the ganache aside to cool while the muffins finish baking.

Once a knife inserted into the middle of the muffins comes out mostly clean, remove the muffin tray from the oven and let the muffins cool. When ready, cut a small hole into the centers of each muffin and fill each hole with the chocolate ganache using a piping bag.

My Thoughts About the Olympic Village Chocolate Muffins

Nathan Hutsenpiller

I’m an easy guy to please, when I see chocolate my mouth starts watering almost immediately. “Double chocolate chip” are three words that, when spoken in my vicinity, do something to me that I just can’t explain.

These muffins absolutely hold up to the hype they’ve received online, and if I were an Olympic athlete staying in the Olympic village, it would be game over for me. I loved the soft, moist muffin (truly it was more like cake) and the combination of chocolate chips and the smooth, creamy ganache filling.

Tips for Making the Olympic Village Chocolate Muffins
  • Check your ingredients. When I baked my first batch I had some trouble getting the muffins to rise. One of the issues was expired baking powder, so definitely do an ingredient check before you start baking.
  • Go easy on the mixing. The other issue I had when I first made these was I overmixed the batter, which impacted the rise (plus that whole old baking soda situation). Mix just until the dry ingredients are incorporated and then stop.
  • Fill 'em up. If you want to make gold-medal-worthy muffins, I'd suggest using 1/2 cup of batter per muffin. I found that was the amount of batter you need to create a tall, impressive muffin that looks similar to what they served in the Olympic Village.

Royal Caribbean Just Announced a New ‘Chief Dog Officer’—And She’s Adorable

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 7:10am

If you needed proof that cruise news can still surprise us, here it is: Royal Caribbean has officially welcomed a brand-new Chief Dog Officer—and she’s starting her job as a literal newborn.

The newest canine crew member, a Golden Retriever puppy destined for life at sea, was born today and will eventually take on the role of Chief Dog Officer aboard Legend of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean shared the news early Tuesday morning via social media, with president and CEO Michael Bayley posting, “Breaking News! A Legend has been born and she is as cute as cute can be! Mmmmm now if only we had a name for this little cutey and future Chief Dog Officer of the new ICON class Legend of the Seas.” The post quickly took off, with fans flooding the comments with name ideas and celebrating the arrival of the cruise line’s smallest—and arguably cutest—crew member yet.

Related: Royal Caribbean is Building a Brand-New Kind of Cruise Ship

View this post on Instagram

The announcement came with a call for help naming the tiny future officer. The puppy doesn’t have a name yet—but she already has a title waiting for her.

If this sounds delightfully unhinged, that’s because it kind of is—and it’s also completely on brand. Royal Caribbean introduced the Chief Dog Officer role in 2024 with the launch of Icon of the Seas, becoming the only cruise line to have dogs living full-time onboard its ships. The idea quickly took off, with golden retrievers Rover and Sailor becoming fan favorites and unofficial mascots at sea.

Now, the newest puppy will eventually join that elite (and very fluffy) team. Her future coworkers include Rover, who serves aboard Icon of the Seas, and Sailor, the Chief Dog Officer on Star of the Seas—meaning Sailor is officially getting promoted to big sister status. The dogs’ responsibilities? Greeting guests, posing for photos, strolling the decks and generally stealing the spotlight everywhere they go.

Related: Why Everyone's Talking About Royal Caribbean's New Beach Club

Legend of the Seas is set to make her maiden voyage on July 7, sailing a seven-night Western Mediterranean itinerary from Rome before spending the summer in Europe. Later in the year, the ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, where the puppy will presumably continue her very serious maritime duties.

While the dog won’t be greeting passengers just yet—puppies need time to grow, train and master the art of professional cuteness—the buzz has already started. Royal Caribbean teased the arrival on Instagram, asking followers to guess the puppy’s name, and fans wasted no time flooding the comments with suggestions.

In an industry full of new ships, bigger slides and bolder itineraries, it’s hard to stand out. But a future Chief Dog Officer who hasn’t even opened her eyes yet? That’s one launch no one saw coming—and one passengers are already obsessed with.

Kristen Stewart Says She's 'Haunted' By Princess Diana After Playing Her

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 6:44am

Kristen Stewart has never been the same after portraying the late Princess Diana.

The Twilight star, who played Diana in the 2021 biopic Spencer, recently opened up about how the late royal's story has stayed with her even after filming wrapped.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

In a new interview with the Telegraph published Thursday, Feb. 5, Stewart said she feels "haunted" by Diana, a feeling that has continued to linger for the actress.

"I still am [haunted]. I can't drive 'round this city, and Paris for that matter, without thinking about her," Stewart, 35, stated during the interview, which took place in London.

"I can cry about her at any moment," Stewart added while reflecting on, "All the love that poured out of this woman."

View this post on Instagram

Diana, the ex-wife of the then-Prince of Wales and future King Charles, died at the age of 36 following a car crash in Paris' Pont de l'Alma tunnel in August 1977.

"She was plucked, plucked to death," Stewart continued of Diana, whose car was being chased by paparazzi at the time of her death.

"Her rebellious qualities felt so desperate, and so young and so vulnerable," Stewart said, noting that the high level of attention and scrutiny "does kind of soul suck."

By the end of filming, Stewart said, "I did feel a bit like a shell, and I think she did too. That was the point."

View this post on Instagram

But the film would go on to earn Stewart her first Oscar nomination, despite the actress initially thinking she wasn't right for the role.

"I told [director] Pablo [Larraín] he was insane and he should probably hire someone else, but he refused to accept that," Stewart recalled, while explaining, "There were some massive distinctions between her and me. It was the statuesque thing. It was the eye color — I have green eyes; she has very famously blue eyes that match her ring. So I was like, 'Should we make the engagement ring green, then?'"

Larraín, however, told Stewart that she would need to "detach" from the superficial aspects of the role, telling her instead, "This is about spirit."

Don’t Make This Embarkation Day Mistake, Says a Cruise Insider

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 6:41am

Embarkation day on a cruise ship is one of the most exciting days. You get to see the layout of the cruise ship, meet tons of new people, settle into your stateroom and get a glimpse of all the entertainment and offerings onboard. For most people, a lot of planning and preparation goes into getting yourself to embarkation day, and once you do, you can finally relax and enjoy your vacation.

I’m no stranger to cruise ships, in fact I used to live and work on cruise ships for over five years. While I loved my time working at sea, I’ve moved onto different career paths, and a cruise ship is now my vacation of choice when I have the time. I have sailed on Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas and Princess Cruises. While each cruise line is unique and offers their own special features–there is one specific thing that is true across nearly every cruise line, and I urge passengers not to forget this simple step before boarding.

Make Sure You Download Your Cruise Line’s App On Your Phone

In an article written by The Points Guy, which shares a list of tips for people’s first cruise, one major tip was to download the cruise line’s application onto your phone before you embark. This is key, because once you get onto the ship, accessing your regular internet plan can be nearly impossible–especially after the ship leaves the port. You would then need to use the ship’s Wi-Fi, which usually costs extra money, to download the app onto your phone. With slow Wi-Fi speeds, that may take a long time as well.

For many cruise lines, downloading the app before you board the ship can be incredibly helpful in planning your voyage. On some cruise line’s apps, you can manage dining reservations, excursions, see the itinerary, and even sign up for events onboard. Then, while you’re onboard, you can see all of that as well, plus some cruise lines allow you to talk to other guests on the app, order food and drinks for delivery to wherever you are on the ship, and see the daily schedule of events happening throughout the ship.

Don’t Forget To Turn Your Phone On Airplane Mode As Well Settings Screen on Apple iPhone 5 focus airplane mode "Airplane Mode: ON"

One of the biggest mistakes that I made when I first boarded a cruise ship was keeping my phone completely turned on, instead of switching it to airplane mode. I saw “cellular at sea” pop up in the corner of my phone, and I thought that meant my cell phone plan must somehow work while I’m in the middle of the ocean. Well, a few weeks later, I got my cell phone bill, and I was charged over $100 for my cell phone usage while at sea.

Now, there are many ways to handle your cell phone while on a ship. The most common way is to turn your phone in airplane mode and connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi. Most cruise lines allow access to their apps without having to pay for Wi-Fi. However, if you want to do anything beyond using the app, like searching the internet, downloading anything, or sending messages to people at home, you’ll need to purchase Wi-Fi onboard.

There are also cell phone plans with certain carriers like Verizon and AT&T that allow you to pay for cell service that is particularly meant for usage on a cruise ship. Esim company called Gigsky offers a similar option. In those cases, you will be connected to the actual internet, not Wi-Fi, so you’ll be able to keep your phone off of airplane mode with no issue. However, if you’re doing what most people do and are only using the ship's Wi-Fi, don’t forget to toggle airplane mode on every time you get back on the ship.
