A 1962 country classic reached No. 1 on this day 64 years ago, becoming one of the most memorable songs of its era.

Patsy Cline’s “She's Got You” hit the top of the Billboard Hot Country & Western Sides chart shortly after its release and remains one of her signature recordings.

Written by Hank Cochran, the song tells the story of heartbreak through everyday objects left behind after a breakup—records, photographs and memories that haven’t changed, even though everything else has.

Cochran reportedly knew immediately he had something special, telling Cline he had written her next No. 1 hit. When he played it for her at home, she was so moved that she learned it that same night and quickly recorded it.

Released in early 1962, the song didn’t just top the country chart—it also crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100 and Easy Listening charts, further cementing Cline’s growing mainstream appeal.

Beyond its chart success, “She's Got You” also showcased the refined Nashville sound that defined much of Cline’s later work. Under producer Owen Bradley, her recordings blended traditional country storytelling with smoother, pop-friendly arrangements, helping bridge the gap between genres at a time when crossover success was far from guaranteed. The song’s restrained instrumentation—anchored by piano, steel guitar and subtle backing vocals—allowed Cline’s voice to carry the emotional weight, turning a simple premise into something deeply affecting.

At the time, Cline was already riding a wave of success following hits like “I Fall to Pieces” and “Crazy,” and “She's Got You” helped solidify her as one of the most powerful voices in country music.

Less than a year later, tragedy struck. Cline died in a plane crash in March 1963 at just 30 years old, cutting short a career that had already reshaped country music.

The song’s legacy has also been recognized beyond country music, landing on Pitchfork’s list of the Top 200 Songs of the 1960s—a rare crossover honor for a classic country recording. More than six decades later, “She's Got You” still resonates, its quiet heartbreak and simple storytelling continuing to echo across generations.

Pop star Madison Beer and NFL quarterback Justin Herbert are once again trending after their latest public appearance together. 

The couple was spotted courtside during a high-energy NBA matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Photos and videos shared by the NBA quickly spread online, with the NFL even resharing the moment and captioning it, “they love ball 🏈🏀.” 

Beer and Herbert appeared relaxed and happy throughout the night. They were seen smiling, chatting and leaning in close while watching the game unfold. At times, the two even showed subtle public displays of affection, which fans quickly noticed in circulating clips.

The Lakers secured a strong win, powered by a standout performance from Luka Doncic, while LeBron James also contributed against his former team. Still, much of the online buzz focused on Beer and Herbert.

Beer kept her look simple but stylish. She wore a fitted white top paired with light-wash denim jeans, showing that a clean and minimal outfit can still stand out. Her makeup and accessories added a polished touch without being too bold.

Herbert, on the other hand, went for a more casual style. He wore a hoodie, dark pants, a cap and Nike sneakers. 

His laid-back look drew attention as well, with one fan asking, “What Nikes are those?” in response to photos of the quarterback.

As images of the pair spread online, fans quickly filled comment sections with reactions. Many praised the duo, while others shared humorous takes.

“My favorite nfl / popstar duo! ⚡️” one fan wrote, highlighting the crossover appeal of their relationship.

Several viewers were briefly confused at first glance, with one commenting, “Anyone else think Ryan Reynolds and Sofia vergara at first glance,” echoing a common reaction seen across posts.

Other fans focused on admiration. “Lucky you justin Herbert,” one user said, while another added, “Beautiful couple 🔥.”

Some even tied the moment back to Herbert’s football career, joking, “I guess he might get a ring after all🔥😭.”

This marks another public outing since they confirmed their relationship in October 2025. They were first linked in August of that year, and their bond has continued to grow through shared appearances and personal moments.

Their relationship has also been visible off the court. Per People, Beer posted a heartfelt birthday message for Herbert in March, writing, “happy birthday baby boy,” and adding, “i am so lucky to be yours” and “you are my dream come true.” 

Herbert also shared his own message for her birthday, saying, “I love you so much. You've changed my life forever 🤍.”

With Beer preparing for her upcoming tour and Herbert focused on his NFL career, their busy schedules have not stopped them from making time for each other.
