Savannah Guthrie's Mom: Sheriff Acknowledges Possible New Clue Spotted in Front Door Footage

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 6:10pm

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is acknowledging what the internet has been saying for days—the subject in the Google Nest footage from Nancy Guthrie's front door appears to be wearing a ring under a glove.

In an interview with NBC News, Nanos said that he'd pass the information along to investigators.

"I look at the same photo you look at and I get — I see it,” Nanos said. "I’m going to give that to my team. They’ll look at that. They’ll analyze it and we’ll see. Maybe, maybe it is."

A screen grab from a video shows an armed individual appearing with camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance in Arizona, United States on February 12, 2026.

"We know he had a gun. We know he had a holster that had some pretty unique characteristics,” Nanos continued. “We can’t quite identify it yet, but that’s being worked on. So naturally, we go to our gun shops everywhere and say: ‘Have you seen this guy? Can you help us identify this weapon? Can you help us identify this holster?'"

Nancy, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities believe that she may have been abducted from her home in the Catalina Foothills of Arizona.

On Feb. 10, the FBI released images and videos from someone at Nancy's front door the night that she went missing. Though authorities have received thousands of tips since the footage was released, but no arrests have been made—and Nancy's whereabouts are still unknown.

Target Shoppers Say This $12 Product 'Is Magic' for Their Sensitive Skin

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 6:05pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Can we talk about how wildly annoying itchy skin is? It sounds minor until you're living it. Whether it's dry winter air, allergies, a random reaction to a new detergent, or an ongoing skin condition like eczema, that constant itch can take over your entire mood. You're trying to focus on work, fall asleep, or have a normal conversation, and all you can think about is, "Don't scratch, don't scratch, don't scratch."

And of course, the more you scratch, the worse it gets—redness and irritation that just won't quit. It's such a nuisance because it may not be intense enough for an emergency, but persistent enough to drive you up the wall. I've definitely had moments of standing in front of my bathroom mirror thinking, "Why is my skin like this and how do I make it stop?"

Magic Molecule Hypochlorous Acid Skin Spray, $11.99 at Target

Target

When I say I've tried a lot of products to get rid of my itchy skin, I mean a lot. So when I heard about Magic Molecule Hypochlorous Acid Skin Spray, I figured, what's one more attempt at relief? And I was especially heartened by the fact that it's FDA-cleared and safe for all ages (including kids).

Basically, when you're feeling itchy, spray it on the affected area. It's meant to help fight breakouts, irritation and bacteria buildup on the skin. While this stuff doesn't smell great (a little like mild chlorine), that really isn't the point. And I will say that it helps my itches when I need some quick relief (and my daughter, who has eczema, too).

Over on Target.com, there are predominantly positive reviews of Magic Molecule, though there are certainly some customers who take issue with the scent and say it stings against their sensitive skin. However, many others are thrilled with the way this product performs and say it's "definitely worth trying."

"This product is amazing if you're dealing with acne or overproduction of oil or skin mites like me this is the product," wrote a reviewer. "I have very sensitive skin and I have multiple multiple allergies … so far so good with this stuff. I am going to stock up and keep it in different places—my running bag, swim bag, home and everywhere else I can keep it. Everyone is different of course (I am no exception!), but for most people, you're not gonna be sorry; it's worth its weight in gold!"

With a positive review like that, how can you not give Magic Molecule a spritz to see if it works for you? You may not look at it as a "beauty product" so to speak (it isn't meant to provide a dewy look or anything like that), but it sure is an overall skin helper when you just want to keep things calm and soothed.

6 Songs That Dominated the Billboard Hot 100 in Feb. 1976

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 6:04pm

The United States turned 200 years old in 1976 (happy birthday to us!), and as the bicentennial celebrations ramped up that spring and summer, the music scene was in the middle of a seismic shift. February 1976 captured American pop music at a crossroads—disco was exploding onto the mainstream charts, soft rock still had a firm grip on radio and the remnants of early '70s soul were making their last stand before the decade's second half changed everything.

Fifty years later, the songs that climbed the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1976 tell the story of that cultural moment. Some became enduring classics that still get airplay today. Others were brilliant flashes that defined the era before fading into oldies rotation. These were the hits keeping America dancing, driving and falling in love during the winter of the bicentennial year.

Here are six songs that made their mark on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1976.

Paul Simon: '50 Ways to Leave Your Lover'

Weeks at #1: February 7, 14 and 21

Paul Simon's biggest solo hit owned February 1976 completely, spending all three weeks of the month at number one. The song marked Simon's first chart-topper as a solo artist, having previously reached #1 with Simon & Garfunkel. With its distinctive drum pattern and cleverly rhymed advice for ending a relationship, the track became an instant classic. Lines suggesting you "slip out the back, Jack" and "make a new plan, Stan" entered the cultural lexicon. The song's success proved Simon didn't need Art Garfunkel to dominate the charts; he could do it all on his own with sharp songwriting and an infectious groove.

Donna Summer: 'Love to Love You Baby'

Peak Position: #2

The Queen of Disco made her explosive entrance onto the mainstream charts with this controversial track. Clocking in at nearly 17 minutes in its full version, radio stations played an edited version that still featured Summer's breathy, sensual vocals and what many listeners interpreted as erotic moaning. Some radio stations refused to play it at all, calling it too explicit. The scandal only fueled the song's popularity. In 1995, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame named it one of the 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll. Summer's performance introduced America to a new kind of dance music that would dominate the rest of the decade. "Love to Love You Baby" was producer Giorgio Moroder's breakthrough as well, establishing the electronic disco sound that would influence dance music for decades.

Hot Chocolate: 'You Sexy Thing'

Peak Position: #3

The British disco-funk group scored their biggest American hit with this sultry track that peaked at number three in February 1976. Lead singer Errol Brown's smooth vocals made "You Sexy Thing" an instant bedroom anthem that somehow remained playful rather than sleazy. The song's enduring appeal is evident in its constant revival—it's been featured in films including "The Full Monty," "Boogie Nights," "Reservoir Dogs" and "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo." The track charted again in 1987 and 1997 after those movie placements, proving that some songs are genuinely timeless. Its opening lines remain instantly recognizable nearly 50 years later.

Rhythm Heritage: 'Theme from S.W.A.T.'

Peak Position: #2

An instrumental track making it to #2 on the Hot 100 might seem unusual, but the theme from the hit TV series "S.W.A.T." had everything going for it in early 1976. The show about an elite Los Angeles police tactical unit was a ratings powerhouse, and the funky, bass-heavy theme music was impossible to resist. Rhythm Heritage, a studio group assembled specifically for instrumental covers, turned the TV theme into a dancefloor filler. The track earned them a Grammy nomination and proved that television themes could be just as powerful as original pop songs. You can still hear updated versions of the theme on the current CBS series "S.W.A.T."

The Miracles: 'Love Machine (Part 1)'

Peak Position: #5

Smokey Robinson had left The Miracles five years earlier, but the group proved they didn't need their legendary founder to craft hits. "Love Machine" became one of their biggest successes, reaching #5 and introducing a more funk-influenced sound than their Motown classics from the '60s. The song's mechanized, almost robotic concept of romance felt perfectly timed for the disco era. Lead singer Billy Griffin stepped confidently into Robinson's formidable shoes, delivering a performance that helped the track become one of 1976's most memorable dance hits.

The O'Jays: 'I Love Music (Part 1)'

Peak Position: #6

The Philadelphia soul legends delivered another chart smash with this celebration of music itself. Coming off their massive hit "Love Train" a few years earlier, The O'Jays remained one of the most consistent hitmakers of the era. "I Love Music" captured the pure joy of disco's promise—music as an escape, as a reason to gather and as the solution to life's problems. The Gamble and Huff production gave the track that signature Philadelphia International Records sound: lush strings, propulsive bass and vocals that could move from smooth to powerful in a heartbeat. The song became an anthem for the disco movement and remains a staple of '70s compilations.

Who Gets Married in ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10? Spoilers Hint at the Final Couples

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 5:45pm

Love Is Blind Season 10 returned to Netflix this month and 32 men and women were hoping to find their soul mate without ever seeing their face. While not everyone fell in love, there were seven couples who left the pods engaged. Relationships are always tested once the couples return to the real world, but fans have to wait until the finale to see who actually says yes at the altar.

A recent post on Instagram from reality TV blogger Reality Steve shared who allegedly takes the plunge and who walks away. However, Parade hasn't independently confirmed these claims.

WARNING: Major potential spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 10 below!

Jessica and Chris

Netflix

For viewers who watched episodes 7 through 9 that premiered on Wednesday, February 18, it’s clear that Jessica Barrett and Chris Fusco don’t make it to the altar. In fact, they don’t even make it to their wedding day.

In episode 8, Chris asked Jessica if she thought the two had a “good physical connection.” She said that she thought they did, but it was clear that Chris wasn’t on the same page. He admitted that he thought their bond was “real,” but Jessica wasn’t the type of woman he typically dated.

“Didn’t know what you looked like,” Chris began. “And for me, just to be totally honest, and without sounding like a f--king d--khead, in the normal world, I date people who f--king do like Crossfit and s--t.”

He added that it was “hard” for him to be “into it” when they were having intimate moments. Jessica, who quickly pointed out that she was “very upfront” about her workout routine from the very beginning, decided to call things off and went home the same night.

Brittany and Devo

Netflix

Despite neither of them being the other’s type, Brittany Wicker and Devo Anderson were more than happy with their decision to get engaged at the reveal. However, it wasn’t long before they hit a rough patch.

While on the couples’ trip to Cabo, they discovered that they’re lacking a physical connection. They seemed to move past the issue, but after they moved in together Brittany admitted that she didn’t feel as close to Devo after leaving the pods.

While fans won’t know for sure if Devo and Brittany officially tie the knot until the finale on March 4, Reality Steve alleged that they called it quits before their wedding day.

Emma and Mike

Netflix

Even though Emma Betsinger and Mike Gibney seemed to connect quickly in the pods, there was one major difference in what they saw in their futures. Mike said that he definitely wanted children, but Emma was leaning toward a kid-free lifestyle.

Emma was born with birthmarks that had a high chance of becoming cancerous. This led her to having over 10 surgeries before she was 7 years old to have them removed. Because she was adopted, Emma doesn’t know anything about her biological parents’ medical history and she was worried she might pass down unknown hereditary complications.

When they returned to the real world, Mike made it clear that he would never want Emma to change her mind on motherhood for him. However, it was becoming more evident that he was ready for a family and Emma wasn’t ready to make a decision. This seems like quite a big hurdle to overcome, and according to Reality Steve, Emma and Mike decide to go their separate ways at the altar.

Christine and Vic

Netflix

Vic St. John and Christine Hamilton were the first couple to get engaged in Love Is Blind Season 10, and it wasn’t a surprise. The two hit it off right away in the pods and they bonded over their love of community outreach and music.

While the six other couples headed to Cabo for the couples’ trip, Christine and Vic opted for a trip to Malibu with just the two of them. Their relationship only got sweeter over the next few episodes, and fans loved watching them grow closer. It seems obvious that these two are definitely in it for the long haul, and Reality Steve claimed that they’re indeed married. However, viewers will have to wait and see for themselves during the finale.

Bri and Connor

Netflix

It didn’t take long for Connor Spies to decide that Bri McNees was his No. 1 while they were in the pods, and she soon felt the same way. They had an easy banter and they bonded over the fact that their dads coached their childhood sports teams along with their love of sports in general. Things got a little rocky when they were in Mexico and Bri admitted that she didn’t feel like she got any closure with some of her other connections in the pods, but they were back on strong ground when they returned to Ohio.

RELATED: Which ‘Love Is Blind’ Couples Are Still Together in 2026?

However, it didn’t slip past Bri that the house Connor bought two years prior still had its Christmas tree up months later and there was a beer keg in the garage. The two seemingly moved past it, but after Chris and Jessica split, he slid into her DMs. When the cast later met up for a night out, Chris bluntly told Bri that Connor was too “submissive” for her.

The teaser for the next few episodes make it seem like Connor and Bri have ultimately found their person, but Reality Steve claimed that they don’t take that final step, and instead, break up at the altar.

Ashley and Alex

Netflix

Viewers saw Alex Henderson repeatedly say that he’s typically attracted to brunettes with brown eyes, and even though Ashley Carpenter is blonde with blue eyes, they both seemed thrilled at their reveal. However, after returning to their lives in Ohio, Ashley discovered that Alex might still be in contact with an ex, and she’s not comfortable with it.

The teaser for the upcoming episodes featured Alex telling Ashley that he felt “attacked” by her comments which hints that there might be trouble in paradise for the couple. Reality Steve reported that the two aren’t married, but whether or not it was a mutual decision or if it happened before their wedding day remains to be seen. Fans will have to wait and see how it all pans out during the finale.

Amber and Jordan

Netflix

Jordan Faeth and Amber Morrison have been one of the strongest couples this season. Viewers have watched them bond in the pods, laugh in Cabo and continue to keep the romance alive even after returning to their shared space in Ohio.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

One of Amber’s biggest concerns going into Love Is Blind was finding someone who was more than happy to marry someone with a child. Amber has a young daughter from a previous relationship, and even though Jordan admitted he had never dated someone with a kid, he was ready to step up to the plate.

The two seemed like they were a sure bet on getting married during the finale. While Reality Steve reported that they did each say yes at the altar, they have since gone their separate ways. Of course, fans won’t know all of the details for sure until episode 12 premieres on March 4.

1982 Hit Song About ‘Heroin and a Girl’ Is a Gen Z Anthem With Over 500 Million Streams

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 5:30pm

If you’ve been comfortably doomscrolling, chances are you’ve encountered a TikTok or an Instagram reel with background music featuring a melancholic harpsichord and an equally haunted singer. Used everything from videos about cats and heartbreaking sports losses to wedding photos; the music has resonated with social media users looking for a medieval-sounding, atmospheric tune…

…except it’s not a forgotten tune from Vivaldi or Pachelbel from the Baroque period. It’s actually a song called “Golden Brown” from the 1980s, made by one of the UK’s earliest punk bands: The Stranglers.

@marjieebee

my shayla 🥺❤️‍🩹 #cat #loveyou #artwork #fyp #recommendations

♬ Golden Brown (Slowed Down Version) - The Stranglers

The Stranglers formed in 1974, with drummer Jet Black, bassist Jean-Jacques Burnell, keyboardist Hans Wärmling (who left after a year, replaced by Dave Greenfield) and vocalist/guitarist Hugh Cornwell.

The group released their first three albums within a 13-month period—Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroesand Black and White—that the British record-buying public embraced. Songs like “Peaches,” “Something Better Change,” and “No More Heroes” were Top 10 hits, despite the band often embracing sexist and racist innuendos as a way to provoke a reaction.

The Stranglers never confined themselves to a single sound, and when it came time to release 1981’s La folie, they were deep in their experimental phase—and, apparently, their substance addiction.

Origin Of The Stranglers' 'Golden Brown'

The song’s opening lyrics go: “Golden brown, texture like sun/ Lays me down, with my mind she runs  / Throughout the night / No need to fight / Never a frown with golden brown.”

The song had long been rumored to be about heroin use. The Stranglers spent years skirting around when asked to clarify, but in 2001, Cornwell admitted it was about his Mediterranean girlfriend and his fondness for the drug.

“Golden Brown works on two levels,” he told Jim Drury in The Stranglers Song By Song, per Mojo. “It’s about heroin and also about a girl... both provided me with pleasurable times.”

Related: '90s Rock Band's Last Album With Beloved Member Sees Massive Surge on the Charts Over 30 Years Later

Although La folie was released in late 1981, “Golden Brown” wasn’t released as a single until January 1982. “We actually forced the label [EMI] to release it. We had a clause in our contract which could invoke that demand,” Jean-Jacques Burnell told Mojo. “They put it out in January expecting it to drown in the New Year tsunami, and when it was a huge hit, they wanted more of the same.”

“Golden Brown” went to No. 2 on the UK Singles Charts, and would have likely gone to No. 1 if not for The Jam’s “Town Called Malice” occupying the top spot.

But, the song got a second life in 2025—even going Platinum for the second time—all thanks to TikTok.

The Source of ‘Golden Brown’s Streaming Success

As of February 2026, the original version of the Stranglers’ “Golden Brown” has over 490.6 million streams. Two additional versions—the “Slowed Down” and “Sped Up”—have 78.3 and 7.6 million streams, respectively, bringing the total to more than 576,000,000 streams.

Music Ally Pro, a global knowledge and skills company that publishes daily news, insights, and reports on the changing face of the music industry, noted an uptick in streams for “Golden Brown” in February 2025. Still, the song really took off in May.

“Streams had risen 40% month on month, and a 400% increase year on year,” they reported, noting that it was all powered by TikTok adopting the song for #medievaltiktok and #castlecore videos.

As the song gained traction beyond the Renn Faire crowd, “Golden Brown” entered the UK Spotify Top 200 for the first time in June and August 2025. It went Platinum for the second time in July, “a direct result of its popularity driven by these trends,” according to Music Ally Pro.

As is often the case with TikTok, users didn’t use the song in its original version: they slowed it down, transforming Cornwell’s vocals into a ghostly low bellow set against a sorrowful harpsichord. The sudden success prompted Rhino Records to release the official “Golden Brown (Slowed Down Version).”

Both Burnell and Cornwell struggled with heroin addiction for years. “Jet [Black, drummer] and Dave [Greenfield, keyboards] quit heroin after a week, but me and Hugh continued,” Burnell told Mojo. Burnell realized that he had to get clean after one day when he looked in the mirror and saw “nothing left of me.”

Cornwell’s recovery wasn’t so voluntary: he busted during a routine police search in 1980, and served five weeks in prison. “That was the end of The Stranglers and heroin. It was nothing romantic,” said Brunell.

Brunell remains the last original member performing with The Stranglers. Hugh Cornwell left The Stranglers in 1990 and continues to record and perform as a solo artist. Dave Greenfield died in May 2020 at age 71, after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Drummer Jet Black played his last show with the band in 2015, before retiring in 2018; he died in 2022 at the age of 84.

I Made the Viral 'Dumpling Lasagna' That Fans Are Calling 'Insanely Delicious'

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 5:17pm

Here at Parade, we love a trending TikTok recipe. These viral dishes pop up on our feed all the time, inspiring us to get in the kitchen. Some peak quickly, then fade away, while others seem to have more staying power. Take, for example, the viral dumpling lasagna, a recipe that's been creating a lot of buzz on social media and seems to be sticking around.

And it's easy to see why. Dumplings are already a perfect bite, but they do require a lot of work if you're making them at home. Filling and folding each one takes skill, patience and time. Dumpling lasagna takes the essential components of the iconic food (filling, wrapper, sauce), and layers everything in a dish, a la lasagna.

This deconstructed approach means that there's no wrestling with wrappers or fretting if your dumplings are overfilled or underfilled. All you have to do is mix, stack, steam and dig in. This streamlined method is great when you want the comforting, satisfying dumpling experience with much less effort.

As with most viral recipes, there are many versions of dumpling lasagna out there, as I quickly learned when I hopped online to find one to try in my kitchen. After some searching, I went with a recipe shared by father-and-son Mike and Nathan of @saltNpiipa, which was inspired by creator Nicole Modic of @kalejunkie. Their dish looked delicious, and their enthusiasm and excitement were inspiring.

The dish came together quickly and didn't require much hands-on time, which made it the perfect thing to make for a work-from-home lunch on a particularly busy day. Keep reading for my full review, plus learn how to make this fan-favorite dish at home.

What Are People Saying About the Viral Dumpling Lasagna?

Courtesy Jessica Wrubel

The internet is almost fully on board on this one (I say almost because there are always the naysayers). Comment sections are packed with enthusiasm for the dumpling lasagna, including people calling it “genius,” “incredible” and "insanely delicious." There are also folks hopping in with their suggestions, like using Italian sausage, ricotta, mozzarella and tomato sauce for a sort of cross-cultural spin. Hmm.

Many commenters also noted that this layering method feels like a much easier workaround for anyone intimidated by traditional dumpling folding (true) or for those who grew up watching someone else make them flawlessly and don’t have the time (or patience) to do the same.

The pork mixture is then layered with wonton wrappers inside a ramekin, lasagna-style. The TikTok recipe recommends a 3½-inch ramekin, though a larger one works just fine if that’s what you have (as in my case).

Once assembled, pour a small amount of water on the top wonton wrapper, then add to a small pot with a few inches of simmering water in the bottom. Cover the pot and steam the mini lasagna until the pork is cooked through, which takes 20 to 30 minutes. Once cooked, finish the dish with soy sauce, chili oil and more green onions.

Dumpling Lasagna: My Honest Thoughts

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

This article took me twice as long to write up because I kept sneaking bites of this lasagna and going “wow!” until I got to the bottom of my ramekin. I absolutely loved this; the TikTokers are onto something here for sure.

The dumpling lasagna tastes exactly like a juicy little dumpling but with a softer, layered texture that’s incredibly satisfying. Best of all, it’s all yours, so no fighting with the table over the last dumpling. The proportions of dumpling wrapper, filling and sauce made for the perfect umami-laced bite. The little pop of scallions and lingering heat from the chili crisp on top was perfection. It was the best lunch I had all week.

Best of all, with this one, it’s truly a set-it-and-forget-it meal that feels far more impressive than the effort required. TikTok owns me once again.

4 Tips for Making Dumpling Lasagna

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

1. Use gloves

Using gloves when you’re mixing ground meat is my preferred move. It keeps things sanitary and prevents you from getting meat goo under your fingernails.

2. Use a ramekin or go rogue

When layering this one up, if you don’t have a ramekin, you can use a small, individual-size baking dish or pot or even a mug–it doesn't need to be fancy.

3. Buy pre-chopped to make this even quicker

I bought a whole head of cabbage for this dish, but if you’re short on time, snag a bag of pre-shredded cabbage to make this even quicker. Ditto for the ginger and garlic, which I keep in cubes in my freezer. It worked beautifully.

4. Grab a thermometer

I was a little nervous about the meat cooking all the way through, so I used a thermometer about 20 minutes in to give me an idea of how much longer it had to go.

'90s Rock Star Can't Decide If Fan-Favorite Track Is a 'Love Song or Heartbreaker'

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 5:09pm

Darius Rucker is looking back on the real meaning of one of his band's fan-favorite tracks.

The Hootie & the Blowfish rocker recently shared a throwback clip from the music video for the band's 1998 song "Only Lonely," asking fans to decipher if the song is a "love song" or a "heartbreaker"—or both.

"Only Lonely," initially came out on the 1998 Hootie & the Blowfish album Musical Chairs, and it was also featured on the soundtrack for the 1999 romance movie Message in a Bottle, starring Kevin Costnerand Robin Wright.

In the song, Rucker sings in part, "If we could share our time / Would I disappoint your fantasies / I believe that you could be the one I'm needing 'cause I'm..Only lonely on the inside /didn't mean to take away your dreams / only lonely on the inside / when you close your eyes to your deepest thoughts."

"This one never gets old. Now, is this a love song or heartbreaker...or both?" he asked his followers, while fans on Instagram and Facebook flocked to the comments to weigh in.

"Heartbreaker for sure," one fan wrote, while several other users were convinced that the song is more of a "love song."

"100% heartbreaker" someone else argued.

But the majority of fans seemed to think that the song falls somewhere in the middle, as one person explained, "This song crushes my soul...both in a beautiful and painful way... Simply recognizing your loneliness, even when you're not physically alone. It lingers. It's absolutely both."

"It's a banger is what it is," one person put it, while another called it a "perfect song" for the complex meaning behind the lyrics.

"One of y’all’s all time best," another user commented.

John Lennon’s First Solo Billboard No. 1 Was Inspired by This Surprising TV Show

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 5:09pm

Though John Lennon reached the highest levels of musicsuccess with The Beatles, the prolific singer-songwriter only topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart once while he was alive.

Lennon’s 1974 song, “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night,” was put together with an assist from another major player in the music game, Elton John, and was inspired by an unexpected television show.

Related: Elton John Didn't Return Patti LaBelle's Tupperware, But Paid Her Back With Something Even Better

The song made its debut on September 28, 1974 and made it to the top of the chart by November. American Songwriter reports that the song’s title and message came from Lennon’s late-night channel surfing habit.

May Pang, who was his wife Yoko Ono’s personal assistant and who was in a romantic relationship with Lennon (approved by Ono!) at the time he wrote the song, told Radio Times, “One time, he was watching Reverend Ike, a famous Black evangelist, who was saying, ‘Let me tell you guys, it doesn’t matter, it’s whatever gets you through the night.’ John loved it and said, ‘I’ve got to write it down or I’ll forget it.’”

The song eventually made its way onto Lennon’s  1974 album, Walls and Bridges, with a little help from Elton John. While recording the album, Lennon leaned on his friend to give the song an extra boost, with John eventually adding in piano, organ, and vocal harmonies.

The duo famously made a bet that if the song made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Lennon would join John onstage at a concert for a live version, and the Beatle kept his word, taking to the stage at Madison Square Garden in November 1974.

In addition to their Billboard hit, Lennon also performed “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” and “I Saw Her Standing There” by The Beatles. American Songwriter notes that this was the last major live performance from Lennon before he died in 1980.

After his death, Lennon once again made it to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “(Just Like) Starting Over,” which spent five weeks at number one beginning on December 27, 1980.

'Even Stevens' Cast: Where Are They Now?

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 5:08pm

Even Stevens—starring Shia LaBeouf and Christy Carlson Romano—is one of Disney Channel's most beloved shows. It aired from 2000 to 2003 and followed the Stevens family's two younger children—Ren and Louis—in their daily lives. Now, more than 20 years later, LaBeouf and Romano are on our TV screens again, but for very different reasons.

First, on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, LaBeouf was celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans when he was arrested for an alleged assault outside of a bar, as rumors of his reported split with wife Mia Goth ignited on social media.

On the same day, Romano revealed heartbreaking news on Instagram. Between losing multiple family members to cancer and learning of James Van Der Beek's death, she and husband Brendan Rooney decided they should get screenings. But while Rooney's test came back negative, Romano's did not. On top of that, she’s still navigating the long-term recovery from a terrifying 2025 accident where she was struck in the face by birdshot while clay pigeon shooting. While doctors were able to remove most of the debris, a fragment remains lodged behind her eye.

With both stars in the news, fans became curious about what the full cast has been up to since the show's 2003 cancellation. Read on to see who's still acting, and who's pursuing passions outside of showbiz.

After Even Stevens, LaBeoufwent on to find tremendous success in blockbuster films—including Disturbia, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Transformers. At one point, he commanded $15 million per picture. Unfortunately, over the past decade, his personal life has impacted his professional career.

In June 2014, he was arrested at New York City's Studio 54 and subsequently charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal trespass. Four years later, he was arrested again—this time for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and obstruction—outside of a bar in Savannah, Georgia.

In September 2020, LaBeouf was criminally charged with misdemeanor battery and petty theft. During the same year, his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs sued him for physical abuse, emotional distress, sexual battery and assault. They reached an out-of-court settlement in July 2025, according to the New York Times.

LaBeouf was in a relationship with Goth from 2012 to 2018, but they got back together and welcomed a daughter in March 2022. However, reports of their split surfaced while his New Orleans arrest was made public.

Steven Anthony Lawrence (Beans)

No Even Stevens cast update would be complete without Bernard "Beans" Aranguren, played by Steven Anthony Lawrence. While he will always be remembered for his love of bacon, Lawrence has built an enduring career with over 40 acting credits to his name.

Since the show wrapped, he’s appeared in big-screen favorites like Cheaper by the Dozen, Kicking & Screaming and The Cat in the Hat. In more recent years, he has continued to work in independent films and shorts, while also becoming a fixture on the fan convention circuit. You can also find him on Cameo, where he has a near-perfect 4.97 rating and can be booked for $45. Want him to promote your business? That'll cost $250—now that's a lot of bacon! But totally worth it for such an iconic actor.

Why Ray J Appeared to Have ‘Bleeding’ Eyes at Recent Concert

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 4:58pm

Ray J sparked concern—and plenty of headlines—after appearing onstage with what looked like bleeding eyes and a bloodied chest monitor during a Valentine’s Day concert in Louisiana.  But according to new footage, the shocking visuals were all part of the show.

The 45-year-old singer performed Saturday, February 14 at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium where audience members were stunned by his appearance. A photographer working the event, Tommy Nard II, spoke with local outlet KTAL 6, revealing that Ray J applied what he described as “fake blood” beneath his eyes before taking the stage.

"He loves the camera. He loves the attention. Anybody that knows him, it’s all theatrical," Nard II said. The photographer admitted he was initially confused watching the moment unfold backstage. "I'm behind the scenes, like, 'What are you doing?' " he recalled. "I seen him literally put on the fake blood and things like that, and go out there with the crowd, which is very shocking that he’d do something like that."

Ray J’s manager, Melinda Santiago, previously released a statement to PEOPLE: "We all know that Ray J has been under the weather, but all my artists that work with me gotta do their job whether they are bleeding or not."

The performance comes amid ongoing health concerns for the “Sexy Can I” artist. In January, Ray J revealed he had been struggling with his heath, sharing in an Instagram video, "I want to thank everybody for praying for me. I was in a hospital,” adding, “My heart's only beating like 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right.” He revealed that part of his heart is black and suggested that he may only have a few years to live.

He was hospitalized in Las Vegas earlier this year due to severe pneumonia and heart pain and has publicly discussed struggles with alcohol and drug abuse. He told TMZ that he was on eight different types of medication for his diagnosis, too.

And while the blood may have been theatrical, it’s unclear if the chest monitor has a functional use for Ray J.

'Star Trek’ Icon, 72, Admits His Character's Beloved Trait Was a 'Mistake'

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 4:45pm

Actor Richard Picardo is opening up about reprising his beloved Star Trek: Voyager character, The Doctor, in the new Paramount+ series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, which premiered in January 2026.

In a January 2026 interview with Cherry the Geek, Picardo referenced that The Doctor, who is a stern Emergency Medical Hologram, has a deep appreciation for opera. The character often showed off his operatic abilities in Star Trek: Voyager, which had a seven-season run until 2001. In Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, The Doctor belongs to the Opera Club on the Starfleet campus and is shown singing opera yet again.

During the Cherry the Geek interview, Picardo shared that he is "not a trained singer," which makes The Doctor's habit of showing off his opera skills "a challenge." He also said that The Doctor's love for singing opera, which was established in Star Trek: Voyager, was a "mistake."

"I sang opera on Voyager by mistake. They misunderstood my suggestion that I listen to opera in sickbay, while I was working alone. And then they wrote an episode where I was singing and it was too late to back out of it," said Picardo in the January 2026 interview.

Picardo discussed filming The Doctor singing opera in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1, Episode 2 ("Beta Test") during a January 2026 interview with Dial The Gate. He explained that the brief scene featured The Doctor dueting with an alien, played by professional opera singer Jamie Groote. According to Picardo, he and Groote, who was wearing "ridiculous alien makeup," had filmed a much longer scene than what made the final cut of the episode.

"We had staged both pieces completely and you don't see any of it. I was disappointed only 'cause we really worked on the whole [scene]. I mean, I understood that we're the entertainment in a very important diplomatic scene, which is really the plot of the show," said Picardo during the Dial The Gate interview. "But I had hoped they would cut a little bit more, so we saw flashes of our unique staging. But you know, who knows? Maybe in the future, we'll be singing again."

1964 Rock Performance Ranked ‘Best Live Album’ of All Time Took Years to Be Released in the U.S.

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 4:39pm

In 1964, Jerry Lee Lewis was at a low point in his career. The rock and roll wild man, best known for the 1950s chart toppers “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and “Great Balls of Fire,” had been backlisted in the U.S. for years following his drug and alcohol induced bad behavior and scandalous marriage to his teen cousin, Myra Gale Brown.

But a chance recording during a cheap tour in West Germany changed the game for the piano-playing rock pioneer—even though the album was only released in Europe and unavailable in the U.S. for years.

In January 2026, The Guardian ranked Lewis’s Live at the Star-Club, Hamburg as the best live album of all time. The 1964 album, which was not released in the U.S. for nearly 30 years due to legal issues, beat out James Brown’s Live at the Apollo, The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s Live at Monterey, and the more recent BeyoncéHomecoming: The Live Album for the best live album spot.

The Guardian’s ranking described Lewis’ album as a fast-paced performance that “should be a disaster” but instead captures “the feral essence of rock’n’roll like nothing else.”

An unexpected classic

According to NPR, Lewis was desperate when he recorded what would become one of his greatest albums. He was paid so little during a 1964 tour in England and Germany that he couldn't even afford to bring his own musicians on the road with him, the outlet noted. At the Star-Club gig in Hamburg, Germany, on April 5, 1964, he was accompanied by backup band the Nashville Teens, which featured guitarists Pete Shannon and John Allen, Ray Phillips (bass), and John Hanken (drums), per the album’s liner notes.

Philips Records Germany producer Siggi Loch recorded Lewis’s show, which included unhinged performances of everything from “Long Tall Sally to “Good Golly, Miss Molly” to "Hound Dog.” The entire 13-song recording clocked in at just 37 minutes long.

While fans scavenged for bootleg copies of Live at the Star-Club, the album wasn’t officially available in the U.S. until an early 1990s release by Rhino Records, according to Rolling Stone. The music magazine's later review of the album teased, “Live at the Star-Club, Hamburg is not an album, it’s a crime scene: Jerry Lee Lewis slaughters his rivals in a 13-song set that feels like one long convulsion.”

In the 2014 biography, Jerry Lee Lewis: His Own Story, Lewis told author Rick Bragg that while Live at the Star-Club was “a big monster record," the record company "never paid” him a penny for it.

Lewis also claimed that he didn’t know the Star-Club show was being recorded. In an interview with Vintage Rock magazine shortly before his death in 2022, he said, “They didn’t ask me to record it, and I’m still waiting on them!”

"It was a great show, though. We played our hearts out that night," Lewis added.

‘Pulp Fiction’ Actor’s Tragic Cause of Death Is Revealed — Here’s What We Know

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 4:28pm

Peter Greene, an actor whose resume inlcudes The Mask, Pulp Fiction, and Laws of Gravity, was found dead in his apartment last December.

Two months later, a cause of death has been determined.

@nbcnews

Peter Greene, an actor who starred in films like “Pulp Fiction” and “The Mask,” died in his New York City home Friday, his manager confirmed. He was 60 years old.

♬ original sound - nbcnews - nbcnews

First to report the news this afternoon, TMZ revealed that Greene died from a “gunshot wound of left axilla with injury of the brachial artery.” In layman’s terms, this means Greene accidentally shot himself in the armpit, severing the artery that carries blood across the arm, elbow, forearm, and hand.

The cause of death was confirmed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in New York City. The manner of death was classified as an accident.

According to the Daily New, a neighbor found Greene unresponsive on Dec. 12, 2025, inside his ground-floor apartment on Clinton Street on the Lower East Side after tenants complained of loud holiday music coming from his unit for several days. Building management gained access to Greene’s apartment with a locksmith.

“Peter was lying on the floor, facedown, facial injury, blood everywhere,” a neighbor told the paper.

Posted to his door was a handwritten note with the statement, “I’m still a Westie,” on it. Outlets have since linked the reference to the Irish-American gang that hung out in Hell’s Kitchen in the '70s and '80s.

When police arrived, they suspected no foul play, per The Post. Greene was pronounced dead on Dec. 12. He was 60 years old. Later, his death was confirmed by his longtime manager, Gregg Edwards, to the media.

“Truly one of the great actors of our generation,” Edwards told the outlet. “His heart was as big as there was. I’m going to miss him. He was a great friend.”

According to Page Six, prior to his death, Greene had a project co-starring Mickey Rourke in the works, an independent thriller called Mascots.

Oscar-Winning Director Slams 'Insane' Disney Over 'Star Wars' Decision

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 4:09pm

Disney's journey with the "Star Wars" franchise has been very complicated. There was initially a ton of excitement when it was revealed that they were going to make a sequel trilogy that continued the story of the original trilogy.

Unfortunately for Disney, fans didn't resonate with the story that they decided to tell. The studio has decided to take a break from releasing "Star Wars" projects in theaters since 2019's "The Rise of Skywalker," and while this year's "The Mandalorian and Grogu" marks a return to the silver screen, they may have been another project that could've been out already.

At this point, it's well known that Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh previously worked on a "Star Wars" project called "The Hunt for Ben Solo." After nearly three years of work, Disney decided to scrap the film, which would've starred Adam Driver and Ben Solo/Kylo Ren.

Though the project is long dead, Soderbergh still seems a bit irked about it. He went off on how the film fell apart in a recent interview.

“It was no surprise that [Kathleen Kennedy] was frustrated,” Soderbergh told BK Mag. “We were all frustrated. You know, that was two-and-a-half years of free work for me and Adam [Driver] and [writer] Rebecca Blunt. When Adam and I discussed him talking about it publicly, I said, ‘Look, do not editorialize or speculate about the why. Just say what happened, because all we know is what happened.’ The stated reason was, ‘We don’t think Ben Solo could be alive.’ And that was all we were told. And so there’s nothing to do about it, you know, except move on.

“I’d kind of made the movie in my head, and just felt bad that nobody else was going to get to see it. I thought the conversation was strictly going to be a practical one—where they go, what is this going to cost? And I had a really good answer for that. But it never even got to that point. It’s insane. We’re all very disappointed.”

In the past, we've seen projects that look dead get revived after the public gets involved, but it seems highly unlikely that Soderbergh will ever be able to get "The Hunt for Ben Solo" off the ground, especially after calling out Disney.

Pabst Blue Ribbon’s Retro Release Will Only Be Found at Bars

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 4:08pm

Pabst Blue Ribbon's latest offer gives adults a new reason to visit their local neighborhood bar.

A couple of months ago, Pabst Blue Ribbon teased a new arcade-style game called "Perfect Pour, Pabst Blue Ribbon Edition," which, quite like the original Perfect Pour, puts players in the role of a bartender.

When it was first announced, fans expressed both excitement and hesitation, as some were sure the company couldn't be serious. But in a delightful twist, those people have been proven wrong.

Pabst Blue Ribbon's Perfect Pour Heads to Bars Nationwide

In an announcement shared with Parade via email, the viral video is confirmed to be no joke—the PBR-branded retro arcade-style game is the real deal and heading to select bars nationwide.

“Bartenders are the real heroes of the industry. Perfect Pour gives people a fun glimpse into how hard bar work actually is," Kat Mata, director of culture marketing at Pabst Brewing Company, explained in a Feb. 18 press release. "The fact that it came from an indie developer and was dreamed up in a bar makes it feel even more authentic, and we’re proud to put the Blue Ribbon on it."

Related:Samuel Adams Drops ‘Juicy’ New Ale With ‘Big Flavor’

According to the brewer, DSM Arcade designer and founder Dan Fessler thought up the game while watching a bartender at work during a busy shift at a local bar in Des Moines, Iowa (coincidentally, not far from where PBR took root in Milwaukee, Wisconsin). This special edition with PBR refreshes the original game with new rounds, games and more.

"Great bartenders make it look effortless, even in total chaos. We wanted to recreate that pressure — and that fun — so players could step behind the bar and see what it’s really like," Fessler added.

Perfect Pour: Pabst Blue Ribbon Edition

P

In the game, players step behind the bar and pour beers with precision and speed using joystick controls that function like real tap handles, according to an official description. As customers line up, players must juggle multiple taps while dealing with blown kegs, pitchers, half pours, and perfectionist customers. The bar grows busier over time, requiring quick decision-making, multitasking, and accuracy to keep customers satisfied and tips flowing.

The game features two ways to play:

  • Classic Mode – Traditional arcade play where skill determines how long you last.
  • Timed Mode – A fast-paced challenge across three timed rounds. Serve as many customers as possible before time runs out.

Perfect Pour PBR Edition also introduces a new, redesigned cabinet profile that's timeless yet nostalgic, decked out with classic and vintage Pabst branding, all-new HD graphics and effects for a modern-meets-yesteryear arcade vibe. Additional features include boss battles, mini-games, and multiple themed environments ranging from neighborhood bars to festivals.

Sounds pretty fun, right? You wouldn't be the only one to think so.

"No but seriously, you couldn't tear me away from this if there was a cabinet at my local bar," one Instagram user said of the game.

"Need one in ATL, fell in love with it in Jacksonville and have been waiting ever since!" another said.

"Can i buy one," one more joked.

Shipments of Perfect Pour: Pabst Blue Ribbon Edition are now underway through authorized distribution channels. While a list of locations expected to receive the arcade game was not immediately available, the arcade cabinet maker directed fans to its online locator to find a location nearby.

According to a FOX representative, there isn’t a dramatic behind-the-scenes reason for the break.

The rerun comes as NBC continues airing the Olympics in primetime, which began Friday, Feb. 6. While The Masked Singer did air a new episode on Feb. 11 during the Games, FOX appears to be spacing out its remaining episodes to maintain momentum through the rest of the season.

This also keeps the show on track for its just-announced finale date, which is April 1.

What is Airing Instead of 'The Masked Singer?

In honor ofJames Van Der Beek, who sadly died from colorectal cancer on February 11, FOX is airing an encore broadcast of The Real Full Monty. Hosted by Anthony Anderson, it was a special that originally aired in December 2024 as a way to raise awareness and money for cancer charities and research.

The celebrities involved included Anderson as host, choreographer Mandy Moore, and dancers Taye Diggs, Bruno Tonioli, Tyler Posey, Chris Jones and Van Der Beek, with special cameos from Don Cheadle, Joel McHale and Mario Lopez.

When Does 'The Masked Singer' Return With a New Episode?

Season 14 returns with a brand-new episode on:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX
  • The theme? Spice Girls Night.
  • And yes — there’s a fun full-circle moment involved. Taraji P. Henson, who was unmasked earlier this season as Scarab, will return as a special guest panelist.

How Many Contestants Will Be in the Season 14 Finale?

This is where things get interesting. There are currently 10 contestants remaining. If one person is eliminated each week through April 1, that would leave five finalists, which would be unusual for the series.

Recent seasons have varied:

  • Season 13: Four finalists
  • Season 12: Two finalists
  • Season 11: Two finalists
  • Season 10: Four finalists

Based on past formats, it’s likely we’ll see at least one double elimination night before the finale, trimming the field down to four finalists, similar to last season’s structure. If that happens and they repeat the pattern from seasons 13 and 10, the final four would each perform once, then the top 2 would each perform again.

After that, FOX’s new season of The Floor, hosted by Rob Lowe, will take over the Wednesday 8 p.m. slot beginning April 8.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. Episodes will also be available to stream the next day on Hulu.

Mick Jagger's Daughter Reveals the 'Real Challenge' of Growing Up With the Rolling Stones Frontman

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 4:02pm

Having a member of The Rolling Stones as your father comes with a lot of perks—but it also has its fair share of hardships. And now, Mick Jagger’s daughter Jade Jagger is speaking out on those difficult moments growing up.

The 54-year-old daughter of the Stones’ frontman revealed to Hello! Magazine on Tuesday, February 17 that "Carrying the Jagger surname has, at times, been a real challenge." She also told the outlet that “Sometimes it can feel like quite a weight to bear,” before explaining that “it comes with so many expectations and constant comparisons.”

Speaking of her childhood, Jade noted that ''Growing up with a dad who has achieved so much meant living in his shadow. It was a complicated experience, but also a formative one, as it forced me to carve out my own path.”

'It wasn't a conventional childhood,” she admitted before adding, “but to me it felt normal because it was all I knew.”

Jade is one of the 82-year-old rocker’s eight children, and is the only child from Mick’s marriage to Bianca Jagger. Mick and Bianca were married for seven years before their divorce in 1978.

Mick also shares daughter Karis, 55, with actress Marsha Hunt; daughters Elizabeth, 41,Georgia May, 34, and sons James, 40, and Gabriel, 38, with ex-girlfriend Jerry Hall; sonLucas, 26, with model Luciana Gimenez; and his youngest, son Deveraux, 8, with fiancée Melanie Hamrick.

'RHONY’s Aviva Drescher Speaks Out: Jill Zarin’s Comments Were "Stupid," But Not Racist

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 3:43pm

The Real Housewives of New York Cityalum Aviva Drescher defendedJill Zarin's remarks about Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance, saying they were dumb but that Zarin isn't a racist.

"I've known Jill since 2011, since I joined Housewives," Drescher said on the Miss Understood With Rachel Uchitelpodcast. "Even though we didn't work together, we became friendly. I've never thought of Jill to be racist, and that was really the thing that stung. That was just the most awful about her tirade."

While Drescher wasn't necessarily defending Zarin's comment, she wanted to make it clear that her musing didn't come from a bad place. "That was just the kicker, and I think it was just a completely stupid comment," she said. "It came off as completely racist, but I don't think she's racist. I don't think it came from a hateful place. It was completely stupid." Drescher added, "I would never think about doing a show with somebody who I thought was racist."

Zarin posted a video to Instagram where she commented on Bad Bunny's performance. “It was the worst halftime show ever,” she said. “I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish, and, quite frankly … grabbing his [groin] area … I think it was totally inappropriate. You’ve got all these young kids watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn’t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds because he’s so insecure. Seriously.”

“I don’t speak Spanish. I would’ve liked to have known the words he was saying,” Zarin added. “To me, it looked like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the entire thing. I’m not taking a side, one way or the other … I think it was an ICE thing. I think that the NFL sold out, and it’s very sad.”

Zarin, who had been set to return to reality TV with the RHONY-adjacent series The Golden Life on E!, was swiftly criticized for her comments. Fans took to social media to say they would no longer watch the show, prompting Zarin to delete the video — but producers ultimately fired her from the series.
