Beloved ’70s Rock Band Calls It Quits for Good After Five Sold-Out Shows

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 8:59pm

It's the end of an era for the beloved Dutch rock band Golden Earring after the group completed five sold-out performances in their home country of the Netherlands at the end of January 2026.

The beloved band officially called it quits with an emotional goodbye, made even more significant due to the fact that the band's vocalist-guitarist, George Kooymans, died of ALS in July 2025.

Fans, friends, colleagues and more came out to the monumental final concerts, with the media production company FabriQ Media Group documenting the historic moment. Sharing some photos from the concerts, the company wrote, "Tonight marks the end of an era. After five sold-out shows of Golden Earring - One Last Night at Rotterdam Ahoy, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to the greatest Dutch rock band of all time."

"We are honored to have been part of this legendary farewell and proud to have captured the emotional rollercoaster with a 17-camera setup for the band and for future generations!" the message concluded.

The stunning photos showed off the huge venue that was filled to the brim with excited fans. Golden Earring performed at Rotterdam Ahoy, which can fit approximately 16,500 visitors and has hosted plenty of other major musical groups in the past, including Pink Floyd and Queen.

The band said goodbye to performing after over 60 years of great music and shows, with Golden Earring's biggest hits including "Radar Love" and "Twilight Zone." Along with the late Kooymans, the band consisted of Barry Hay, Rinus Gerritsen, and Cesar Zuiderwijk.

Golden Earring originally announced their disbandment in 2021 as Kooymans' ALS progressed. The group shared the news with the Dutch newspaper AD, with Kooymans saying, translated from Dutch, "I am indeed ill, I have ALS. It's very bad news, and I'm not really in the mood to say much more about it... It's a progressive disease. Unfortunately, performing is no longer possible."

When asked if the band would go on with a new member in Kooymans place, Hay and Zuiderwijk said, "That's never going to happen." The latter went on, "We're a group of four friends who are irreplaceable. A new band member? That wouldn't be right."

Golden Earring made an exception with their final five shows, as the farewell performances were actually Kooymans' idea before he died.

Nancy Grace Says a ‘Near Hit’ DNA Match Could Crack the Nancy Guthrie Case

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 8:45pm

The search for Nancy Guthrie may hinge on a forensic detail that doesn’t require a perfect match.

Appearing on HannityTuesday, February 18, Crime Stories host Nancy Grace zeroed in on DNA recovered from a glove believed to be tied to the case, explaining that investigators don’t necessarily need an exact match in the national database to move forward.

“CODIS, which is of course the combined DNA index system, is nationwide and of course it has felons and some misdemeanors in there,” Grace said. “But if we get a hit, we can get an almost hit or a near hit, which means a relative of the donor, the DNA donor.”

She continued, “So then it doesn't have to be a perfect match. You can then determine a relative's DNA is on that glove and from there, from there you go to genetic genealogy. It's bam bam bam bam.”

Grace also emphasized that short tandem repeat testing is already underway, suggesting results shouldn’t take long. “Those STR, short tandem repeat DNA analysis are being made,” she said, adding that it “shouldn’t have taken this long, as a matter of fact.”

Her comments come amid tension between local and federal authorities. Grace previously criticized Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos after reports surfaced that key evidence was sent to a private Florida lab rather than the FBI’s Quantico facility. She argued the move could “risk” the case, maintaining that the FBI has the same capabilities.

Meanwhile, investigators continue pursuing multiple leads. A SWAT team executed search warrants at a Tucson home roughly two miles from Guthrie’s residence on February 13, detaining two individuals during the search. Attorney Chris Scileppi later said his client, Luke Daley, has “no link whatsoever to Nancy” and was not arrested.

Guthrie, 84, has been missing now for almost three weeks—she was abducted from her home on February 1.

1983 No. 1 Hit Voted 'Greatest Hair Metal Anthem' of All Time

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 8:32pm

In the days when hair metal reigned supreme, life was "nothin' but a good time," as Bret Michaels sang. Not really, of course, but that's how it seemed for fans back then...and even though some of the biggest hits from that era seem kind of dated today, lots of music lovers out there still aren't ready to let the party stop.

From Bon Jovi to Warrant to Poison to Cinderella to Mötley Crüe and so many, many others, this flashy and hard-rocking phase in music history spawned plenty of chart-topping albums and songs, so choosing the best of the best is no easy task. That's what Louder attempted to do with their list of the "20 greatest hair metal anthems of all time," however, and the songs featured in their roundup definitely include some of the catchiest tunes from the most popular bands of the hairspray-and-spandex period.

The bottom half was a mix of songs pretty much everybody everywhere knows — like Warrant's "Cherry Pie" (1990) at #16 and Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer" (1986) at #12 — plus a few tracks that aren't still being played on the radio constantly, like Faster Pussycat's "Bathroom Wall" (1987) at #15.

The top 10 kicked off with Twisted Sister's delightfully defiant "We're Not Gonna Take It" (1984), which spawned one of the most unforgettable music videos of the '80s, followed by another MTV mainstay, Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again" (1987), at #7. Ozzy Osbourne's solo hit "Crazy Train" (1980), featuring the incomparable Randy Rhoads, took the #8 slot, while another guitar-driven favorite, Van Halen's "Panama" (1984), was ranked #7.

Ratt made a showing at #6 with their first (and biggest) single, "Round and Round" (1984), and though the #5 pick technically came out before most people think the hair metal craze started, it definitely fits the bill: KISS with "Rock n’ Roll All Nite" (1975). Poison's aforementioned ode to partying, "Nothin' But a Good Time" (1988) was ranked #4, while Quiet Riot popped up with "Metal Health" (1983) — which encouraged a generation to headbang, literally — at #3.

Guns n' Roses, one of the harder-edged (and most successful) bands to be associated with the hair metal genre, took second place with the now-classic song that launched the band's career: "Welcome to the Jungle" (1987).

So which song earned the title of the greatest hair metal anthem ever? That lofty distinction went to Def Leppard, but don't assume the winner was "Pour Some Sugar on Me" or something else from their bestselling album, Hysteria. Nope, the winner was "Rock of Ages" from the band's 1983 breakthrough album Pyromania.

Why? Well, Louder described the song as "an endless build-up into an orgy of sticky-sweet screamalong choruses — or maybe the whole thing is the chorus, it’s hard to tell," going on to say that the song "hit every rock fan in just the right place, and at just the right time."

And like the song says, Def Leppard is "still rollin'...rock and rollin.'"

Dreamy, nostalgic aesthetics are quickly becoming some of the most loved ways to style living spaces, and we found an elegant area rug on sale at Walmart that perfectly captures the regencycore vibe.

The Lahome Floral Scalloped Area Rug is now $54 in the 5 foot by 7 foot size, down 33% from the usual $80 price. It's currently available in two base colors, dove gray and sky blue, with a cream-colored border and pops of scarlet, teal, and marigold. Several additional size and color options are also on sale, including a larger 8 by 10 foot area rug for $117, a 2 by 6 foot runner for $30, and a 2 by 3 foot door rug for $22.

The vintage-inspired boho floral pattern in soft, romantic tones adds a dreamy Regencycore vibe without overwhelming the room. The scalloped edge is the standout detail that gives the rug an heirloom quality that's very on-trend and makes it look far more expensive than it is.

Don't shy away from the pastel look if you're worried about it getting dingy. Stain-resistant and machine-washable, this rug is designed to hold up to heavy traffic, even in busy homes with pets and kids. Made of low-pile microfiber, it should feel ultra-soft underfoot and shouldn't get caught underneath doors. It's also lightweight for easy rearranging, and has a non-slip backing that keeps it securely in place on hardwood, tile, or carpet.

1968 Rock Anthem Inspires Heartwarming Picture Book About Music and Family

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 8:25pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

There are some songs that never really leave us. They play in the background of childhood car rides, drift out of living room record players and somehow resurface decades later with all the same feelings attached. One 1968 rock anthem from the Beatles has done exactly that for generations. Now, that timeless track about a blackbird has taken on new life in a heartwarming picture book that blends music, memory and family bonds.

In The One About the Blackbird, author Melanie Florence and illustrator Matt James build a tender story around "Blackbird," the beloved Beatles classic written by Paul McCartney. The book follows a young boy who learns to play guitar alongside his grandfather, with one song in particular becoming their shared anthem. Years later, when memory begins to fade, music becomes the bridge that reconnects them. If you've ever watched a loved one light up at the sound of a familiar tune, you already understand the emotional pull here.

The One About the Blackbird by Melanie Florence, Matt James (Illustrator), $18.99 at Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Noble

"Blackbird" was originally released in 1968 on the band's self-titled album, often called The White Album. Inspired in part by the Civil Rights movement, the song's message of resilience and hope has made it one of the Beatles' most enduring tracks. Lines about broken wings and learning to fly feel just as meaningful today as they did in the late '60s. That cross-generational appeal is exactly what makes it such a powerful anchor for a children's story.

Related: 1975 Classic Rock Anthem Ranked ‘Sweetest Platonic Love Song’ of All Time

James' illustrations add texture and warmth to the story, giving scenes the cozy feel of a basement jam session. You can almost picture the soft glow of a lamp, the stack of old records and a well-loved guitar resting nearby. There is a nostalgic quality that tugs at your heartstrings and makes you slow down and take it all in.

While designed for children ages 4 to 8, the book resonates far beyond that range. Parents who grew up on the Beatles may find themselves pausing on certain pages. Grandparents might hum along. And younger readers are introduced to the idea that music is more than background noise. It can hold memories. It can spark connections. It can span generations without missing a beat.

The View’s Joy Behar Gets Candid About How Much Weight She's Lost on GLP-1 Meds

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 8:14pm

It’s never too late for a personal win.

Joy Behar, longtime host of daily talk show The View, is the latest proof of that.

Per E! News, on today’s episode, the 83-year-old shared that she’s down a significant amount of weight – 25 pounds to be exact. She credits taking GLP-1 medication for the movement on the scale.

“I lost 25 [pounds],” Behar said during the episode, adding that she wasn’t the only View co-host to give the meds a go. “We all did it!”

For the uninitiated, GLP-1s are medications that mimic a natural hormone in the body called glucagon-like peptide-1, the hormone that regulates blood sugar, insulin release, appetite, and how quickly food leaves the stomach. The second Hollywood got wind of the drug’s capabilities, celebrities from Sharon Osbourne to Elon Musk jumped on the bandwagon.

Savannah Chrisley, who’s filling in for Alyssa Farah Griffin while she’s on maternity leave, also got candid about tapping the medication. She revealed she lost 40 pounds. The 28-year-old also addressed the ongoing stigma around the medication (remember when Trump said this?).

“People are made to feel so much shame around doing [a GLP-1] and it isn’t,” she said. “People do it for health-related reasons. I personally did it because I was prediabetic.”

Whoopi Goldberg, one of The View’s stalwarts, added her two cents.

“I did it because I was almost 300 pounds, and I’m looking good now!” she said, adding, “We lost a ton of weight at this table.”

Though she didn’t add to today’s conversation, co-host Sunny Hostin previously shared she had used Mounjaro, to lose the weight she gained during COVID.

"Diets do not work,” Joy said, a couple of years ago while defending Kelly Clarkson, who shared that she turned to medication for help getting her body healthy. “I've been on diets, up and down, up and down. You lose it, then you gain it back.”

Earlier this month, Behar was absent from the talk show for six episodes due to illness. Glad to see she’s feeling her besst now.

The set features soft pink ticking stripes set against a creamy white background, with delicate ruffle trim for added charm. The full/queen set includes one comforter and two standard shams, while the king set comes with one comforter and two king shams. The shell is made from 100% cotton with a polyester fiber fill, and it’s machine washable for easy care.

From a practicality standpoint, the cotton shell makes a noticeable difference. Cotton is breathable, durable, and gets softer with every wash, which is essential for comfortable sleep. As a true comforter rather than a thin quilt, it offers enough loft to keep you warm during colder months. At the same time, the natural cotton fabric is breathable enough to prevent overheating when temperatures rise.

Design-wise, the hidden detail is what makes this set stand out. From a distance, it reads as a soft blush wash. Up close, the delicate stripes and ruffled shams reveal subtle texture and dimension. It feels thoughtfully designed without looking busy, which makes it especially well suited for smaller bedrooms.

The overall aesthetic draws from shabby chic roots, embracing a lived-in elegance that feels relaxed rather than formal. The strawberries-and-cream palette pairs beautifully with farmhouse, cottagecore, or coastal decor. Style it with a chunky knit throw in cream, a natural wood bed frame, velvet accent pillows, and organic touches like a jute rug or fresh white roses.

Cops Called to Shia LaBeouf's Home Multiple Times Before Arrest and Reported Mia Goth Split

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 7:40pm

Shia LaBeouf’s Los Angeles-area home was the subject of more than one police response prior to his reported split from Mia Goth, according to police records obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, February 18.

Documents show officers were dispatched to the property for separate incidents, including a disturbance of the peace and an alleged stalking concern.

In November 2024, a 911 call was logged for what was described as a “husband and wife” disturbance. Records note an “uncooperative female” was repeatedly heard saying “just go,” indicating she was trying to get her husband to leave. A male voice could allegedly be heard in the background cursing before the call was cleared. Per the outlet, the Pasadena Police Department confirmed the incident involved the residents of the home, though no formal police report was required.

Months later, in August 2025, authorities received another call related to the address. According to records, a caller reported that an “old friend” who was allegedly mentally ill believed she was married to LaBeouf and was “murderously angry with him, appears to be stalking him and is going to his home.” The caller—who did not live in the neighborhood and appeared to be a fan—said they had seen concerning posts about LaBeouf on Instagram and wanted to alert authorities. TMZ notes that it is unclear whether LaBeouf was aware of that situation.

The resurfaced police records come shortly after the Honey Boy actor’s arrest during Mardi Gras celebrations a day earlier in New Orleans on February 17. In a statement to PEOPLE, the New Orleans Police Department said officers responded around 12:45 a.m. to reports of a simple battery on Royal Street.

“Investigators say a man identified as 39-year-old Shia LaBeouf was reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at a Royal Street business,” police stated. Authorities allege LaBeouf struck two men with his fists after being removed from the establishment. He was taken to a hospital for treatment before being arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery.

LaBeouf is expected to appear in court Tuesday afternoon and has not responded to Parade’s request for comment at this time.

Marshalls Is Selling a Chic Weekender Bag by a Beloved Designer for an Unbeatable Price

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 7:05pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

I keep telling myself I don't need another bag. Truly, I'm in my "paring down" era. But different bags really do have different jobs. A little clutch is basically jewelry. It's there to look cute and hold exactly three things, like your ID, a credit card and lip gloss. Meanwhile, an everyday handbag is there for function, but it's also very much part of the outfit. They have to pull their weight style-wise.

And then there's the weekender. That one isn't pretending to be decorative. It has a purpose. It's the bag you grab for a quick overnight, a spontaneous road trip, or when you're trying to avoid checking luggage for a two-day getaway. It needs to fit the extra shoes, the backup sweater, and the toiletries you swore you'd pack lighter this time.

Vera Bradley Softside Large Weekender Travel Bag, $39.99 at Marshalls

If you're in the market for a weekender, then you must feast your eyes on this Vera Bradley Softside Large Weekender Travel Bag. It's one of those soft, quilted bags that feels lightweight but still holds a ton.

Related: Five Below's Pretty Pink Arched Shelf Is Perfect for Organizing the Small Stuff

There are a few bag details you really need to know, like the fact that it's fully lined on the inside, so it doesn't have that flimsy, unstructured vibe. The outside has a couple of super practical details, too. There's a zip pocket that actually converts into a trolley sleeve, so you can slide it right over your suitcase handle at the airport (a feature you never knew you needed until you use it).

You've also got two side slip pockets on the outside, which are perfect for a water bottle or stashing your phone when you're juggling coffee. Plus, there's another exterior zip pocket for anything you want to keep secure but easy to grab.

It has two sturdy top handles if you want to carry it by hand, but also comes with a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap for when your hands are full. And the very idea that it's soft-sided gives you a little wiggle room when you're trying to squish it into overhead bins or car trunks easily.

Marshalls has so many great finds right now that it's almost hard to visit the store for fear of wrecking my budget. (Again, "paring down era.") But its printed nightstands are total Anthropologie dupes and so hard to pass up. And then the coastal-style lamps make me want to add a set to every room. So shop with caution, because it's cuteness overload in Marshalls right now.

Why This Beloved HGTV Star Now Misses the ‘Hardest Time' of Her Life

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 7:00pm

HGTV star Jasmine Roth of Help! I Wrecked My House fame is discussing the difficulties she faced after her youngest daughter, Darla, 16-months, was born.

TV Insider reported that Roth shared details of her daughter's earliest moments after she was discharged from the hospital in a February 11 Instagram post. She uploaded a brief video that showed her holding her then-newborn child.

In the caption of the post, Roth wrote that "Darla was born 4lbs 8oz and came home from the ICN with a feeding tube."

"It was the hardest time of my life and if you’d told me that someday I’d miss it, I never would’ve believed you," continued Roth, who also has a 5-year-old daughter, Hazel.

She then shared that she views that moment in time with unexpected fondness.

"But when I look back on this now, I don’t see the trauma, the stress, or the fear. I barely remember the lack of sleep, the pain my body was in, or the constant brain fog," stated the HGTV personality. "What I remember (and what I miss) is the moments that were so new. Her smell, her little sounds, her tiny little cries. Yes it was impossibly hard but it was also overwhelmingly magical."

She also said that she was "really proud" that she managed to appreciate happy moments amid the hardships she endured after having Darla earlier than expected.

"It would’ve been easy to turn to despair, overwhelm, or negativity but instead I leaned deep into what I’ve learned about happiness. Happiness is there, we just have to decide to find it," added Roth in the caption. "To build happiness we have to look for it as often as we can. In the small moments that feel unimportant, in the mundane times that we might forget to be grateful, and in the quiet times we might get discouraged if we weren’t exceptionally intentional with where our thoughts go. Digging into building my happy during these early days with Darla wasn’t easy. It meant giving myself grace, focusing on the positive, and leaning heavily on the people around me. I had to give up control and that was the hardest part."

She then explained that she wanted to share her story to help fans who are struggling to try to focus on happy moments.

Fans Shared They Appreciated Jasmine Roth's Instagram Post

Several fans flocked to the comments section to share that they appreciated Roth's encouraging Instagram post.

"This is most precious. I am glad you found the happy," wrote a commenter.

"So happy Darla is doing well. My niece gave birth to twins. They were 5 1/2 weeks premature. Both on feeding tubes and oxygen. In ICU for a month. They are now 6 months and doing well. God does work miracles. So happy for you and your family," added another.

"Jasmine thank you for sharing this with us today I’m really struggling to find my way. I’m so happy your daughter is now strong healthy and thriving," shared a different person.

"What a beautiful message. Thank you for the important reminder," commented a fan.

Jasmine Roth Explained Her Mantra of 'Build Your Happy'

In an exclusive interview with Parade in November 2025, Roth discussed her mantra of "Build Your Happy." She stated that she believes everyone is "striving to be happy." However, that exact type of happiness "is probably unrealistic.” She said rather than trying to achieve an unrealistic goal, she thinks it's better to appreciate the small moments.

“So when we can frame it in the idea of small moments, small celebrations, miniscule milestones, if you will, it really helps with that happiness because you’re suddenly creating incremental happiness instead of yearning and striving for this unrealistic, just happiness that would be a destination that doesn’t exist,” said Roth to Parade.

Dee Valladares Reveals She Nearly Blew Up Her Own Blindside on ‘Survivor 45’ (Exclusive)

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 7:00pm

There is plenty to argue about among fans of Survivor's "new era," from season rankings to favorite moves. One fairly-consensus opinion, however: Dee Valladares is the most dominant winner among them.

Indeed, at a time when the hit CBS reality series was making major modifications to the game under the gudiance of creating "dangerous fun," on paper, it should be near impossible to maintain control. But Dee did so for the majority of the game, as part of a foursome established in the early days of her starting tribe. Eventually, like all good alliances, things hit a breaking point, as Drew Basile and Austin Li Coon chose to target their fellow Reba, Julie Alley. And so Dee decided she'd rather go toe-to-toe with one of her number ones, secretly alerting to play her idol. The result: A shocking blindside and the elimination of Emily Flippen (who Dee will be playing with once more on the upcoming Survivor 50).

But Dee was adamant not to take her foot off the pedal. As Drew and Austin continued to target Julie, she was helping the majority put Drew's fate in jeopardy. The only thing complicating matters: Her feelings for Austin. Feeling self-admittedly "smitten" in the moment, Dee faced a classic "head vs. heart" conundrum. Tip Austin off about Drew's blindside, the way he did about the Julie vote? Or make that favor unrequited, and leave him in the dark. Ultimately, she chose the latter, a pivotal move putting her in pole position to take home the win.

And it almost didn't happen.

"I'll be honest. There was a moment where I thought about telling Austin, because of the emotions in me," the 28-year-old tells Parade exclusively. "He just told me about Emily the vote before, and how can I not do the same thing to him and screw him over?"

With CBS airing the Drew blindside as part of its "Road to 50" series, read on for our full interview with Dee, where she gets into how she did indeed screw Austin over, and why she's bringing a "more fiery" version of herself into Survivor 50.

Related: Meet the Full Cast of Survivor 50

Before we get into this episode, I want to get into the massive move you pull off last episode. At the eleventh hour, you tipped Julie off to play her idol to send Emily out with a single vote. How did you end up pulling that off, especially without anyone linking you to it?
The vibe at camp was awkward. You know something's going on when people aren't talking to you. And I was given the news of Julie right before Tribal Council, so we were getting babysat, obviously. And I think on Survivor, I will say this to any future player. You can't control the game. But there will be opportunities that rise that you absolutely need to freaking grab and not think about the consequences afterwards, because if you think about the consequences afterwards, you're done.

So in the moment when I was told that it was Julie, I thought to myself, "Oh my God." It just didn't sit right with me. And also, I had so much information that this is my moment to cement myself moving forward. Because the Reba Four, we've been playing such a dominant game, and we've all been playing such a similar game. So it's not just how can I cement myself moving forward, but also how can I protect an ally? And I think in that moment, it really served me.

I re-watched the episodes this morning, and I think it really helped that I cared for Julie as an individual, as a human standpoint, aside from the game. I wanted to see her succeed, her and Austin, it didn't matter who. Even if I didn't win, I wanted one of them to win. And I think it's very rare to find that on Survivor. So in that moment, I was just praying. I'm like, "Oh my God, I need Julie on my own." And as soon as, I think it was Austin that was babysitting us, he walked away. And this was right before Tribal, when the producers say, "On ice, you can't talk." I'm like, "This cannot happen to me right now. I need to tell Julie."

And someone walked away from us. Whether it was Emily or Austin, I don't remember. And Julie and I were alone, and that's when you see us sitting down at camp. And I said, "Hey, it's you tonight. And in that moment, my heart was in a place where it shouldn't be. Because I'm like, "Is this going to work? Is she going to be okay with it? What is she going to do?" Because now I'm giving her the entire power. "Is she going to be okay with this? Is she going to make it work?" I'm putting all my eggs on Julie. So it's a very scary moment. And you can feel the tension with not just the tribe, but even the producers running around trying to capture everything right before Tribal. You feel the tension in the air with production. Because they can't call "on ice" right now; some game moves are happening! But it's scary. It's like one of the scariest moments ever.

This episode, we see you put on your best acting face to not give away that you told Julie to play her idol. Were there any specific points where you thought you would be found out?
100%. You can never be too sure on Survivor, and you just gotta go with it. There was a part of me that was thinking to myself, "Oh my God, I'm not that good of a liar. So for sure, people have to catch onto this. But either way, I'm going to take this to my grave because I'm playing a game." So the risk of it working was way better than the risk of it not working. So I'd rather try and look stupid than to not have tried at all. And that was the moment that I was like, "I just gotta go with it. And if I mess up, I mess up."

Because you can even see, in the episode, Drew was like, "You didn't tell her?" And I was just like, "No! Julie's so smart, she obviously caught on." And it was fun to watch, because you can tell that we're all just trying to get by every day, all just trying to play the game. And even though we're at the Final Six, we're still learning the game. There are still so many things that we're learning. And as newbies, first-time players, you're not necessarily thinking about the outside world. You're truly indulged in the mold. I think that's special as first-time players.

We see Julie, Jake and Katurah all decide on gunning for Drew separately. Did you also come into the Final Six wanting to get rid of Drew? Or was this something you more so rolled with once it was brought to you?
I, without talking to anyone, wanted Drew to go. Because I knew in the Reba four, Drew was closest to Austin, and he also had a relationship with Julie. And he's a great speaker. I didn't really know that the jury wasn't too fond of him. So I did want him to go. But I will be honest, it came very easy when I heard other people wanted him gone! [Laughs.] And that's when you see Katurah and I doing the, "3, 2, 1, Drew!" I think everyone in that moment wanted to also make a big move. And it was good for me, because I made my big move the vote before, with voting Emily off. And it just worked out, because when I heard that, oh yeah, of course, I'll vote with you! So it just kind of planned out the way that I wanted it.

You had an easy time saying Drew's name, but Austin certainly did not when he won reward. Were you surprised you and Katurah got picked to go on the picnic?
First of all, I don't remember if we knew we were going on a helicopter. But as soon as I heard "helicopter," I even forgot about the game. [Laughs.] I was like, "Holy crap. We're in a helicopter in Fiji!. We're actually not even playing the game anymore." And then when he chose Katurah, I was like, "Hell yeah!" Because that leaves Julie behind. She's my other main ally. Whatever happens at camp, she'll let me know.

So it was great because I could truly enjoy the moment of being on the helicopter and the reward knowing that camp is settled. No matter what happens, Julie will give me the heads up. And then if something happens on my end, I'll give her the heads up too. But it was awesome because while we were on the helicopter ride, we were being given a true tour. I'm sure it costs a lot of money if you wanted to do that. We saw the islands where it was like, "Oh, this is where this person played. This is this challenge." And you just couldn't believe it. And we landed on a private island. How much people pay to do that?! That's insane. It felt really special looking back on it. And then three times we flew over camp. I thought that was funny. That was the funniest moment ever. [Laughs.] It was savage.

Well, it might have been helped by the fact that you were there with some very welcome company. Your relationship with Austin had been mentioned in the past couple of episodes. But we see the two of you holding hands in the helicopter. And there's an entire sequence of the two of you talking about one another, where you admit you're a little "smitten" with him. Talk to me about your feelings towards him at that point, and did they change at all based on that afternoon?
I wouldn't say that my feelings changed after he chose me, because they were already there prior. So even if he hadn't chosen me, I would have understood that it was a game move. Because we were already connected, we knew that we got each other's back. However, after he chose me for the reward, there were feelings of guilt. Because I knew that Drew's name was kind of brewing. And when we get back to camp, oh my God, we just went through such a special experience. And now I'm gonna screw you over.

So this is why I love confessionals, because you talk things through, and it's kind of like a therapy session. And there was a moment that I thought about telling him, I'll be honest. There was a moment where I thought about telling Austin, because of the emotions in me. He just told me about Emily the vote before, and how can I not do the same thing to him and screw him over? Until I truly sat with myself, and in a confessional, I was just like, "Why am I here? I'm here because of my family. And, as much as I'm connected to Austin, as much as I'm connected to Julie, Drew, I just met them 20 days ago." And as much as I truly do love them, I love my family more. And I'm even here because of my family and all the sacrifices they made, leaving a communist country to leave everything behind. How can I mess that up just because of my feelings of guilt or my emotions for a man?

So it was very hard. I cried at night. But at the same time, I knew that someone like Austin would understand the gameplay. So that really made me feel better. And he is just so emotionally intelligent. Even if, let's say he wouldn't have told me about Julie, I also would have understood. So I think there were, yes, feelings of guilt. But also a lot of acceptance and understanding that, hey, we're playing a game, and I know you're not doing this to screw me over personally. You're just doing it to forward yourself in the game. It's not an "F.U.," but it's like, "I gotta do what's best for me," you know?

The edit creates climacticism going into Tribal Council about whether or not Austin would play his amulet idol on Drew. When he stood up, did you think he was going to use it on himself?
I wasn't surprised he played the amulet, because that was the last time he could play the amulet. But of course, you can never be too certain. And there was a part of me that was like, "He must have caught my bluff, and he could play it for Drew." But even then, in that moment, I'm like, "Alright, let's say he plays it for Drew. At least I knew I was safe." Julie, would go home but I knew I was safe. But yeah, I was s—ting my pants for sure when he stood up, I'm like, "Oh my God, he caught my bluff. This is crazy. Julie's gonna go home."

When Drew stands up to go, the jury points out how mad he is. What were you able to gauge from his reaction considering, arguably, of the four people who voted for him, you betrayed him the most?
As soon as he saw the first vote, I think he knew. I think there was a moment where he immediately grabbed his bags before the rest of the votes were read. But yes, I definitely betrayed him. But I think that the thing with Drew too, he had more of a killer instinct than Julie and Austin did, and I felt that. I felt if Drew was going to betray someone, yes, he was going to for Julie. But at any moment, he could also betray me. I knew for a fact he wouldn't betray Austin, but I didn't know that he wouldn't betray me. And even though there's that little 5% of uncertainty, that 5%, I gotta go with my gut. So it's kind of like "I gotta get you before you get me." And yes, I betrayed him, but it had to be done.

Finally, what's one similarity and one difference between the Dee we saw in this episode of Survivor 45 and the Dee we're going to see in Survivor 50?
I think the Dee going into 50 is more certain of herself and more fiery. I would say that I think she knows, for the first time, you're on a TV show. And people ask me all the time, "Should I go on Survivor?" And I always tell them, "Are you confident in yourself? Do you know who you are? If you think you are who you are, then okay, go on the show." But it will destroy you, if you don't know who you are, because of the fandom coming for you. They'll love you one day; they'll hate you the next. So this is a Dee that does not care about what people think.

The same Dee that loves to have fun is back no matter what. And I know that this is still season 50. But even while I was getting interviewed, I was just like, "I promise you, I'm gonna have fun. I will do whatever it takes to make sure fans have fun." Fans come first. So it's just a Dee that likes to have fun and is very unserious.

Perry, who wrote the power ballad and gave it to Aguilera, took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse at the cover art for her new version of "Beautiful," sharing that it "feels strange covering your own song."

Aguilera, 45, released "Beautiful" as part of her 2002 album Stripped, and the song would go on to win her Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards. Perry's songwriting also earned "Beautiful" a nomination in the Song of the Year category that year.

"The heartfelt performance Christina Aguilera delivered will forever remain timeless and powerful," Perry, 60, wrote in her Instagram caption. "So the question remains...How do you cover your own song when you already consider it perfect?"

But Perry's fans insist that Perry's recording of the beloved song is bound to be "beautiful" in its own way.

"This is gonna be so special" one of her followers gushed under the post.

"I’m psyched to hear the whole version by the woman who wrote it!" one user expressed in the comments, while another added, "This song was born to come out of your mouth."

One fan declared "Beautiful" to be "One of the best songs ever," while another called Perry's forthcoming version "what the world needs."

"Cannot wait 🥹💕" one commenter wrote.

Another added, "What a full circle moment."

Savannah Guthrie's Mom: Polygraph Report Remains Unconfirmed as Public Awaits Answers

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 6:56pm

As the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, the Pima County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) has released another update. On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Fox News reported that polygraph tests were being conducted today.

"Fox News has learned polygraph tests are being conducted today at the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities did not confirm the tests are tied to the Guthrie case, but instead promised an update is "coming soon," read a message on X posted by the official Fox News account.

Many social media users took this to mean that the Guthrie family were the ones being polygraphed, though there is no evidence that supports this theory.

A short while later, Fox News' Michael Ruiz shared the latest update from PCSD.

"Investigators are currently analyzing biological evidence found at Nancy Guthrie’s residence. DNA profiles are currently under lab analysis. The number of profiles, and other related details remain part of the active investigation. No further information will be released at this time," read part of the update.

The department also acknowledged that it had received questions about the aforementioned polygraph tests.

"PCSD has received various requests for confirmation of various topics including working with Mexican authorities, utilizing polygraph tests, specific video surveillance requests, financial analysis, etc. PCSD is not confirming or releasing any details regarding those topics at this time," the department said.

Meanwhile, NBC's Matt Finn said that Sheriff Nanos told him that there were polygraphs being conducted today, but they were for "new hires." And NewsNation's Brian Entin received information that contradicts Finn.

"I’ve learned polygraphs have been performed to clear people in the Nancy Guthrie case," Entin wrote on X.

Reports of polygraphs being administered come two days after Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos publicly stated that the Guthrie family (Savannah Guthrie, Annie Guthrie, and Camron Guthrie) along with their spouses had all been cleared in the case.

Nanos' comments were made just one day after he said that no one had been ruled out. For this reason, it seems, Nanos' statement about the family being cleared received quite a bit of pushback.

Retired FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam said that he feels that Nanos made the statement based on emotion rather than fact.

Clearing the Guthrie family (or anyone else for that matter) before the actually case is solved is an emotional statement by the Pima County Sheriff, not a statement of fact. #TruthHasArrived#SheepNoMore#NancyGuthrieCase @WillCainShow pic.twitter.com/aLJqsBBY4D

— Jonathan T Gilliam (@JGilliam_SEAL) February 17, 2026

“I think when we look at the statements [that the] sheriff made, and the fact that he’s saying they’re cleared, that sounds to me like an emotional statement from the sheriff. Or a personal statement that he’s making, not one that is based in facts because unless they know who was in that home, which we don’t know if they know that, unless they have all of their timelines where they were—and they know for fact that nobody hired anyone to do something, there’s no way to absolutely clear them,” Gilliam said on The Will Cain Show.

Nancy Guthrie Search Intensifies After SWAT Raid in Arizona Detains Two Men

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 6:52pm

The search for Nancy Guthrie took another dramatic turn this week—but authorities say the latest development does not connect a nearby Arizona family to her disappearance.

A SWAT team executed two search warrants Friday, February 13 at a home located roughly two miles from the missing 84-year-old’s residence in Tucson. Two individuals were removed from the property while law enforcement searched the house for hours.

According to attorney Chris Scileppi, his client Luke Daley—who had been accused online of being a suspect—has no connection to Guthrie’s disappearance. Daley and his mother were detained during the search but were not arrested.

Scileppi told TMZ on Wednesday, February 18 that Daley has “no link whatsoever to Nancy” and no information related to her alleged kidnapping. He added, “Like the entire Tucson community, both Mr. Daley and his mother are hopeful that Nancy will be returned to her family unharmed.“

READ MORE: Nancy Grace Says Search for Savannah Guthrie’s Mom Has Entered a Critical Window

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office previously said the warrant was based on a lead. No arrests have been announced in connection with the raid or Nancy, who has been missing since February 1.

Meanwhile, speculation about Guthrie’s family has also been addressed. Sheriff Chris Nanos released a statement clearing Savannah Guthrie and her siblingsAnnie and Camron Guthrie—along with their spouses. “To be clear…the Guthrie family—to include all siblings and spouses—has been cleared as possible suspects in this case. The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case,” Nanos said.

“To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel. The Guthrie family are victims plain and simple…please, I’m begging you the media to honor your profession and report with some sense of compassion and professionalism.”

As the search enters its third week, Savannah’s Today colleagues showed solidarity on air earlier on Wednesday, wearing yellow ribbons while the studio filled with yellow flowers.

Aldi's Game-Changing $15 Microwave Find Promises Perfect Grilled Cheese in Minutes

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 6:45pm

I don't think there's anyone on the planet who would say making a grilled cheese is hard, but I also never thought we'd see robots controlled by AI doing kungfu and yet here we are. To at least try to understand why someone could possibly argue that making one of the simplest sandwiches to ever exist is an arduous task, let's look at what it actually takes to make a good one. For starters, perhaps the most important ingredient for any grilled cheese is the quality of the bread. And while there are several schools of thought on which style is best, personally, it's got to be sourdough.

Secondly, you could keep things simple and stick with one kind of cheese, but to craft a grilled cheese that'll make you literally levitate, a blend is always the way to go. Outside of that, lots of butter on the bread (or mayo if you prefer), and there's really nothing else to it. What it really comes down to is taking the time to respect the ingredients you've chosen—even if they are just bread, cheese and butter. Bread takes time to reach that gloriously crispy, golden-brown stage, and cheese needs ample time to melt. It's a sandwich you shouldn't rush, regardless of how hungry you are.

Crofton Microwave Grilled Cheese Maker, $14.99 at Aldi

Aldi

That said, if you are feeling just a bit impatient, then you'll love this game-changing find from Aldi that promises to make a perfect grilled cheese sandwich in record time—no additional patience necessary. The budget-conscious retailer just dropped the Crofton Microwave Grilled Cheese Maker in stores, and honestly, it might just change the way we make the famous sandwich for good. At just $15, we're sure this grilled cheese game-changer won't be around for long.

Related: Where Are They Now? 'Cutthroat Kitchen'

Despite its unassuming appearance, the gadget works by enclosing your sandwich like a panini press in a microwave-safe shell. Simply place one slice of bread on the bottom grate, layer on your cheese, place the second slice of bread on top, close the lid, and microwave until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasty. It's really that simple! According to shoppers who have tried similar products, it works best if you liberally butter the bread and don't overfill your sandwich.

It might require a little trial and error to get the hang of how it works, but at least you'll have lots of tasty R&D to work through. Although this might not be the best gadget to gift your friend whose a stickler for a grilled cheese made to their strict specifications, it's a great find to have in your back pocket for when you're too lazy to stand over the stove waiting for the perfect millisecond to flip your precious cheese toastie. So is making a grilled cheese hard? Objectively, no. But there's nothing like a time saver to make the task just a little bit easier.

Billy Ray Cyrus Reacts to Major Update on 'Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special'

Wed, 02/18/2026 - 6:44pm

In a little over a month, fans all around the world will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana.

The popular Disney sitcom followed Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus), a teenage girl living a double life as the famous pop star Hannah Montana, as she tried to balance being a normal girl with her secret identity. The show aired from 2006 to January 2011, and ran for four seasons. Other cast members included Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso and Moisés Arias.

On March 24, 2006, Hannah Montana aired its pilot episode on Disney Channel, and has since become a massive pop culture phenomenon that defined Generation Z. This March, in honor of its 20th Anniversary, Disney+ will be celebrating this milestone by premiering an in-depth interview with Miley Cyrus by Call Her Daddy podcast host, Alex Cooper, along with recreating sets like Hannah's iconic closet and showing never-seen-before footage.

After months of Cyrus teasing "something special" to celebrate this milestone, she broke the Internet by finally releasing a teaser for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special on her social media accounts on Tuesday.

Along with many fans reacting to this announcement, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus' father in real life and on Hannah Montana, took to X on Wednesday to share and react to the news.

"Sweet niblets!" he wrote in his caption, along with the video of the official teaser. "Robbie Ray's still the proudest dad in the world."

Despite working together, the two have had a complicated relationship. The "Flowers" hitmaker was really close to her father during the Hannah Montana era back in the late 2000s, but had periods of estrangement following her parents' divorce in 2022, where Miley and many of her sisters did not speak to their father for years. As of last year, the "Wrecking Ball" singer confirmed to the New York Times that they are on speaking terms and healing from their past public conflicts.

"As I’ve gotten older, I’m respecting my parents as individuals instead of as parents — because my mom really loved my dad for her whole life, and I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard. And so I think I took on some of my mom’s hurt as my own because it hurt her more than it hurt me as an adult, and so I owned a lot of her pain," Miley Cyrus answered in the Q&A. "But now that my mom is so in love with my stepdad, who I completely adore, and now that my dad, I see him finding happiness, too — I can love them both as individuals instead of as a parental pairing. I’m being an adult about it."
