Ashley McBryde may be a country music star, but she just proved she can channel any genre solo with only a guitar in hand. 

On Saturday, March 28, the Arkansas native, 42, took to Instagram to deliver a stripped-down take of Tommy James & the Shondells’ 1967 pop hit, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” which was later made famous a second time by teen pop sensation Tiffany in 1987.

“The song stuck in my head today is: ‘I think we’re alone now’ by Tiffany (1987), but also by Tommy James & the Shondells back in 1967. What song is stuck in YOUR head today?” McBryde captioned alongside her video, which features her dressed in head-to-toe denim. 

Strumming on her acoustic six-string, McBryde showcases her effortless vocals and signature twang on the track, giving it a countryfied flair in contrast to the Tiffany smash. McBryde threw all of her energy into her on-the-fly take, without the need for a backup band, earning plenty of praise from her followers.

“Love this 👏,” one person wrote, while another follower added, “Release this PLEASE.” 

“Wow, that took me way back in time 😍 thank you,” a third fan wrote. 

“I think we're alone now / There doesn't seem to be anyone around  / I think we're alone now / The beating of our hearts is the only sound,” McBryde sings throughout the chorus before letting out a slight chuckle. 

“I loved that song when I was growing up. Now I’m singing it because it’s stuck in my head. And, it’s kinda creepy. I don’t know.  I don’t want to analyze the lyrics. I like that song. It’s a jam. Now it’s in your head. You’re welcome,” McBryde said at the end of the video. 

Song History

Written by Ritchie Cordell with contributions from Bo Gentry, “I Think We’re Alone Now” has lived many lives, each of which became a success in its own right. First released in 1967 by Tommy James & the Shondells, the track rose to the No. 4 spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 1987, Tiffany’s version of the track was even bigger, earning her international fame as the song topped the charts in several countries, including the US, UK, and Canada. 

The popular song has appeared in films such as Mother’s Day and 10 Cloverfield Lane, and saw a cultural resurgence after its inclusion in the fifth season of Stranger Things.

Winger’s frontman, Kip Winger, opened up about his life beyond the band and touring.

In a recent interview with Waste Some Time With Jason Green, the 64-year-old musician weighed in on his retirement amid the Winger Tour 2026 and gave fans a glimpse of what to expect next.

Explaining the gradual move toward the band’s future, the vocalist shared that his decision to step away from the stage wasn't sudden but a “slow kind of exit off the runway,” as he described.

“It's been coming for a long time. I told the [rest of the] band five years ago that I'm gonna stop performing,” he said as transcribed by Blabbermouth, adding that their show at the Rainbow Bar & Grill Backyard Bash 2025 in West Hollywood, California on August 31 was much like the “last show” that they had.

“Although we've got four shows this year in '26 that were already booked. So when I said, 'Listen, I'm gonna stop touring,' and then we put some shows up, everybody was, like, 'Oh, you didn't retire,’” he furthered.

As for his decision to step back, Winger clarified that he is not retiring from music entirely but rather shifting his focus and energy to a different genre.

"'Retirement' is not in my vocabulary,” the rock star explained. “I wanna spend more time writing classical music, and I don't wanna be on the road all the time. It's very stressful to sing that [WINGER] stuff now, and I'm just not feeling it. And I'm really interested in learning how to become a better composer and writing more music. Let's put it this way: if I hadn't done all the work I've done on the road, I would have twice the amount of albums. So I'm very interested in spending the rest of my days just writing music."

The hard rock metal band remains retired from full-scale touring but has upcoming special shows this year. This includes performances in Brazil for the Bangers Open Air on April 26, followed by a headline show on August 27 in Illinois, as well as a special performance in Indiana with FireHouse on August 29.

Lastly, Winger will be participating in The Sands Rocks Festival in Mexico from October 20 to 25.

As for doing a “bus tour” or traveling from city to city in a tour bus, Kip Winger made it clear he’ll never go that route.

“There's no way I'll get on a bus again. That's like a scary movie. I just can't do that,” he said.

According to him, the last bus tour that they did was with Tom Keifer (of Cinderella) for the LIVE & LOUD in 2023, which he described as “rough.”

Back in the late '80s, teen pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany (aka, Tiffany Darwish) ran into each quite a bit—but it was usually moving up on the Billboard charts, which both singer dominated off and on in that era. Both teens at the time, Debbie and Tiffany rose to fame around and about 1987 and skyrocketed with big hits. At age 16, Gibson debuted her album Out of the Blue, featuring hits like "Only in My Dreams" and "Shake Your Love," and, at age, 15, Tiffany released her self-titled debut album, Tiffany, with the popular "I Think We're Alone Now" cover.

In 1987, there probably was not a high school dance in a cafeteria in all of America that wasn't playing both these artists. While the teen mags at the time tried to make up a faux rivalry between to two pop sensations, the two were actually friendly and supportive as young teen stars. They didn't get to know each other until a few years later when they starred in the movie Mega Python vs. Gatoroid (2011) together.

Lainey Wilson was among the performers and nominees on Thursday night (March 26) during the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Along with receiving nods for Country Artist of the Year and Favorite Tour Tradition, the Louisiana-born star, 33, delivered a medley of some of her biggest hits and fan favorite tracks.  

The three-song set — in order — included “Wild Flowers and Wild Horses,” “Hang Tight Honey,” and “Heart Like a Truck.” During the second song, which belongs on her 2024 Whirlwind album, Wilson surprised fans, removing her signature cowboy hat and flaunting her entire head of sandy blonde hair for all to see. 

As she does with wearing bell-bottoms, Wilson usually performs with her head covered up, so the moment served as a rare treat for the audience and viewers watching the live broadcast. For her performance, Wilson paired her long tresses with a black-and-white lacy pair of bell-bottoms and a matching halter top. She also accessorized her look with sheer arm-length gloves. 

The moment came after Wilson treated fans to “Wild Flowers and Wild Horses,” which saw her delivering the tune in a Stetson while appearing from behind the microphone, in black-and-white film. After “Hang Tight Honey,” she closed out her medley with her 2022 release of “Heart Like a Truck,” which appears on her third studio album, Bell Bottom Country. 

Lainey Wilson Also Had a Full-Circle Moment

Aside from her major performance, Wilson also served as a presenter for the night. She was on hand to announce Miley Cyrus as the recipient of the iHeartRadio Innovator Award. The moment was extra special as it brought Wilson full circle. Before finding fame, she booked shows as a Hannah Montana impersonator. 

“Miley Cyrus is what happens when fearlessness meets evolution. She didn’t just grow up in front of the world: She redefined herself in front of it over and over and then over again …,” Wilson told the audience. “… From breaking out of a box that people tried to put her in, to pushing boundaries in sound and style, in storytelling. Topping the charts once is already an incredible accomplishment, but Aretha Franklin did it 20 times, tying her with Stevie Wonder for the most successful run in R&B history.

In 1970, the iconic singer released the single "Call Me," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart, marking the eighth top R&B hit of her career. Although this was not her first success, it was her first since her divorce from her husband of eight years, an experience that heavily inspired the song.

Featured on her album This Girl’s in Love with You, the track stood out for its emotional sincerity and simplicity. Instead of building toward a huge vocal peak, Franklin kept her vocals controlled and intimate, allowing her feelings to shine through the production. This approach gave the song a different kind of power, one that felt direct and personal without ever needing to be overstated.

Franklin's instinctive approach to music defined much of her success. In a 1999 interview with Fresh Air, she explained, while speaking about her struggles with recording music, "We weren't getting to the music in the way that we should have. It just wasn't coming off. A man previously arrested for stalking "Bad Guy" singer Billie Eilish is dead after he was struck by a train in Long Island in the early morning hours earlier this week.

Prenell Rousseau was reportedly jogging "on or near" the tracks in Westbury, New York, this past Wednesday when an LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) commuter train hit him shortly after 5:30 a.m. Law enforcement sources told the New York Post that his death appeared to be accidental. It's unknown if he died immediately or if he was transported to the hospital for treatment prior to his death.

The Young Man's 'Erratic Behavior' Led to His Arrest in 2020

Rousseau was once arrested in Los Angeles for trespassing on Eilish's property multiple times across two days, back in 2020. According to the publication, he rang her doorbell, asking her father, who answered the call, to confirm if she lived there. Despite telling the 30-year-old that he had the wrong house, Rousseau returned later than night, causing the family to call for private security as he exhibited "erratic behavior" on their property.

“While we waited for security, Mr. Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue,” Eilish said in court as she sought an order of protection, which she was granted. “My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused.”

Rousseau's appearance also came in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and his lack of face mask and repeated touching of the doorknob and doorbell without any gloves on caused additional concern for the singer and her parents.

Billie Eilish May Have Been Inspired By the Scary Incident on Her Latest Album

Years later, Eilish put out a song called "The Diner" on 2024's Hit Me Hard and Soft, which is told from the perspective of a stalker in love with a female celeb. It's not confirmed if the situation with Rousseau inspired the lyrics, which included, "I’m here around the clock, I’m waiting on your block, but please don’t call the cops, they’ll make me stop and I just wanna talk."

We had to get Cameron's advice on how to set up a simple tool kit when you're just testing the waters of DIY.

Released in 1971, the single was part of their fourteenth studio album Sky's the Limit.

Amid the global success of the song, “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)” marked their third No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Fifty-five years ago today, their iconic single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks.

At the same time, it was also the number one single on the Billboard R&B Singles chart and remained at the top for three consecutive weeks.

The Unexpected Story Behind The Temptations’ 1971 Hit

Written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong, the legendary Motown duo, this was a notable single from the album with David Ruffin on lead vocals.

Moreover, this was also The Temptations’ last song to feature Kendricks and Paul Williams as members.

In a report cited by The Guardian, the group experienced internal tensions, particularly between members Otis Williams and Kendricks, prior to the release of the album.

“At the time, Eddie Kendricks, the band's lead singer, and I weren't getting on,” Otis told the outlet. “That's how it is in a group. You have personality clashes. He wanted to go solo, take control of his own destiny. We didn't know that this would be his last recording with us. We'd start at seven at night and go right through to the wee small hours. It was a tedious process: Norman was quite a taskmaster and he'd fry your nerves. Eddie didn't leave the studio until morning, having delivered a wonderful, sweet, tender, sincere performance.”

Moreover, he also described the personal struggle within the group as a “bad memory,” especially the departure of Williams, who at that time was dealing with health issues.

“Paul Williams has the line: ‘Every night on my knees I pray.’ This leads into Eddie singing: ‘Dear Lord, hear my plea. Don't ever let another take her away from me, or I would surely die.’ It was getting to the point where we were going to have to let Paul go, health-wise. It's a bad memory. It was difficult. He was a wonderful person, kind of like the soul of the group, but illness was taking him out of the game,” he shared.

Williams, who launched a solo career that same year, passed away just two years after leaving The Temptations.

On March 28, 1976, “You'll Lose a Good Thing” by Freddy Fender reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, marking another major milestone in the singer’s remarkable career.

The song, a heartfelt warning about love and regret, became Fender’s fourth No. 1 country hit. Its success helped cement his place as one of the most influential crossover artists of the 1970s, blending country with Latin and blues sounds in a way few had done before.

Originally written and recorded by Barbara Lynn in 1962, “You’ll Lose a Good Thing” first gained attention as a rhythm and blues hit. Lynn’s version reached No. 1 on the R&B chart and broke into the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to its bluesy and emotional delivery.

“Comfortably Numb,” the 1979 hit by Pink Floyd, more than four decades ago, has been ranked among the greatest classic rock songs of all time, proving its lasting power across generations of listeners.

The recognition comes from Ultimate Classic Rock (UCR), which placed the track at No. 9 on its carefully curated list of the Top 100 Classic Rock Songs, highlighting one standout track per artist to keep the competition fair and focused.

Released as part of the band’s iconic album The Wall in 1979, “Comfortably Numb” stands as one of Pink Floyd’s most celebrated songs. It tells a haunting story of isolation and detachment, inspired by bassist Roger Waters’ real-life experience of being injected with tranquilizers before a live performance in 1977.

Your Easter basket may be looking a little less full this year after thieves managed to pull off a massive chocolate heist, making off with 12 tons of KitKat bars.

The candy was stolen mid-transport, somewhere in between a European production plant and it distribution centers, Swiss food corporation Nestle told the news outlet Agence France-Presse, per CBS News.

With over 400,000 units of the beloved chocolate treats now missing from the lineup, there's a potential for in-store shortages, and timing couldn't be worse with the candy-centered holiday right around the corner.

"We've always encouraged people to have a break with KitKat," a spokesperson told the publication, playing on the brand's famous catch phrase. "But it seems thieves have taken the message too literally and made a break with more than 12 tons of our chocolate."

The truck in question was headed from Italy to Poland when it went missing. It's unclear at this time if the driver was involved, or if they were hurt during the theft, but so far there's no trace of the vehicle, nor the candy.

The parent company noted that "investigations are ongoing," with local authorities and partners in the supply chain all involved. They expect that the stolen bars of chocolate may eventually "enter unofficial sales channels," but they'll remain traceable by the batch codes printed on the packaging for each bar.

If scanned, "clear instructions" will be displayed to contact KitKat and report the discovery.

"Since hair wax is a finishing product, it can be used on all hair types. Its purpose is to help with control, like taming frizz, smoothing baby hairs and keeping sleek ponytails and buns in place," Yoscua says.

Of course, there are a few hair types that are particularly well-suited to hair wax sticks.

"They tend to be especially useful for textured, curly or thicker hair because they help smooth flyaways, define sections and add hold without needing heavy gels," Hakim explains.

If you have fine or thin hair, Hakim recommends being "mindful of how much you use."

"Wax sticks are concentrated, so applying too much can weigh fine hair down or make it look greasy," she says. 

On the other hand, thick, textured, curly or coarse hair can use "a little extra if you need more control," Yoscua says.

Similar to any styling product, hair wax sticks can leave behind buildup, especially if they're used too often.

Hakim suggests using a clarifying shampoo once a week to clear out any buildup and has one useful trick for avoiding it in the first place.
