This design centers on a softly sculpted, puffed heart silhouette rendered in a high-shine silver-tone finish, giving it a smooth, almost mirror-like surface that catches and reflects light with a fluid, liquid-metal effect. At the center sits a smaller, raised heart accent, densely pave-set with tiny, clear crystals that introduce texture and sparkle against the otherwise polished base.

The contrast between the sleek, rounded outer form and the faceted shimmer of the inset heart creates a dimensional, layered look that feels both playful and refined. Altogether, the earrings lean into a sentimental Y2K-inspired aesthetic with a hint of nostalgia, while the clean metallic finish keeps them modern and versatile.

Though they may arrive without gift-ready wrapping, that simply gives you the perfect opportunity to personalize the presentation. Slip them into a dainty jewelry pouch, a small gift box, or pierced into the petals of a flower bouquet to make them feel extra special.

The heart motif makes them an especially thoughtful gift — symbolizing love, appreciation, and connection —  so they’re ideal for Mother’s Day, birthdays, bridal showers, or just because. Whether you’re giving them to a loved one or surprising a friend, their delicate sparkle adds a meaningful, personal touch.

Frozen Comes to Life at the New Disney Adventure World

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 12:57am

Pack your bags and grab your ears because the wait is finally over: the most ambitious transformation in the history of Disneyland Paris is officially here. While the resort is technically calling this a "reimagining" of its second gate, anyone walking through the gates this week will tell you it feels like a brand-new kingdom has risen from the ground.

On the eve of its public opening on March 29, 2026, the park formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park has been reborn as Disney Adventure World, marking the first time since the resort opened its second gate that fans have seen an expansion of this magnitude.

The star of the show is, without a doubt, the breathtaking World of Frozen. Stepping into Arendelle feels less like visiting a theme park and more like walking straight into the screen, complete with the 118-foot-tall North Mountain and Elsa’s Ice Palace shimmering in the distance.

The celebration wasn't just about the scenery—it was a true A-list affair. The festivities kicked off on Friday with a visit from French President Emmanuel Macron, who joined Disney leadership to highlight the park's massive impact on European tourism. As the grand opening approached, the guest list read like a global talent directory.

Among the icons walking the blue carpet were French cinema legend Isabelle Huppert and Emily in Paris favorite Lucas Bravo. They were joined by Academy Award-winner Penélope Cruz and recent Golden Globe winner Teyana Taylor, who both got an exclusive preview of the park’s new magic. Even pop royalty made an appearance, with former Spice Girl Emma Bunton joining the crowd to witness the spectacular transformation of the resort’s second gate.

During the star-studded inauguration, the atmosphere was electric as the singer Santa performed "Into the Unknown" from a literal ice piano. The ceremony reached a heartfelt peak when 11-year-old Lou from Make-A-Wish joined the stage to sing "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" with a high-tech, robotic Olaf.

“With Disney Adventure World, we’re not only unveiling a reimagined second gate at Disneyland Paris; we’re opening the door to a new era,” said Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris. “An era where our guests walk straight into the heart of the stories they love.”

It’s a sentiment shared by the highest levels of Disney leadership, who see this as a superlative shift for the destination. Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences, noted, "The reimagining of our second gate reflects the very best of what Disney represents: boundless imagination that brings people together.”

Beyond the snow-capped peaks of Arendelle, the park now flows into Adventure Bay, a massive 7.5-acre lake that serves as the new "beating heart" of the expansion. Here, fans can find the fairy-tale-like Raiponce Tangled Spin and a Beaux-Arts-inspired new dining venue with character interactions, The Regal View Restaurant.

Reflecting on the global love for these characters, Josh D’Amaro, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, said, “Few stories have resonated with fans around the world like Frozen. From the screen to our parks, cruises, and beyond, its impact continues to grow, and with World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World, we’re giving guests at Disneyland Paris the opportunity to experience that story in entirely new ways.”

Whether you're a Marvel recruit or an Arendelle royalty hopeful, this is the glow-up we've all been waiting for.

1987 No. 1 Pop Classic Resurfaces 38 Years Later With Country Star’s Reimagined Cover

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 12:36am

Ashley McBryde may be a country music star, but she just proved she can channel any genre solo with only a guitar in hand.

On Saturday, March 28, the Arkansas native, 42, took to Instagram to deliver a stripped-down take of Tommy James & the Shondells’ 1967 pop hit, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” which was later made famous a second time by teen pop sensation Tiffany in 1987.

View this post on Instagram

“The song stuck in my head today is: ‘I think we’re alone now’ by Tiffany (1987), but also by Tommy James & the Shondells back in 1967. What song is stuck in YOUR head today?” McBryde captioned alongside her video, which features her dressed in head-to-toe denim.

Strumming on her acoustic six-string, McBryde showcases her effortless vocals and signature twang on the track, giving it a countryfied flair in contrast to the Tiffany smash. McBryde threw all of her energy into her on-the-fly take, without the need for a backup band, earning plenty of praise from her followers.

Fans Approve

“Love this 👏,” one person wrote, while another follower added, “Release this PLEASE.”

“Wow, that took me way back in time 😍 thank you,” a third fan wrote.

I think we're alone now / There doesn't seem to be anyone around  / I think we're alone now / The beating of our hearts is the only sound,” McBryde sings throughout the chorus before letting out a slight chuckle.

“I loved that song when I was growing up. Now I’m singing it because it’s stuck in my head. And, it’s kinda creepy. I don’t know.  I don’t want to analyze the lyrics. I like that song. It’s a jam. Now it’s in your head. You’re welcome,” McBryde said at the end of the video.

Song History

Written by Ritchie Cordell with contributions from Bo Gentry, “I Think We’re Alone Now” has lived many lives, each of which became a success in its own right. First released in 1967 by Tommy James & the Shondells, the track rose to the No. 4 spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 1987, Tiffany’s version of the track was even bigger, earning her international fame as the song topped the charts in several countries, including the US, UK, and Canada.

The popular song has appeared in films such as Mother’s Day and 10 Cloverfield Lane, and saw a cultural resurgence after its inclusion in the fifth season of Stranger Things.

’90s Rocker Addresses Retirement Amid 2026 Tour

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 11:56pm

Winger’s frontman, Kip Winger, opened up about his life beyond the band and touring.

In a recent interview with Waste Some Time With Jason Green, the 64-year-old musician weighed in on his retirement amid the Winger Tour 2026 and gave fans a glimpse of what to expect next.

Explaining the gradual move toward the band’s future, the vocalist shared that his decision to step away from the stage wasn't sudden but a “slow kind of exit off the runway,” as he described.

“It's been coming for a long time. I told the [rest of the] band five years ago that I'm gonna stop performing,” he said as transcribed by Blabbermouth, adding that their show at the Rainbow Bar & Grill Backyard Bash 2025 in West Hollywood, California on August 31 was much like the “last show” that they had.

“Although we've got four shows this year in '26 that were already booked. So when I said, 'Listen, I'm gonna stop touring,' and then we put some shows up, everybody was, like, 'Oh, you didn't retire,’” he furthered.

As for his decision to step back, Winger clarified that he is not retiring from music entirely but rather shifting his focus and energy to a different genre.

"'Retirement' is not in my vocabulary,” the rock star explained. “I wanna spend more time writing classical music, and I don't wanna be on the road all the time. It's very stressful to sing that [WINGER] stuff now, and I'm just not feeling it. And I'm really interested in learning how to become a better composer and writing more music. Let's put it this way: if I hadn't done all the work I've done on the road, I would have twice the amount of albums. So I'm very interested in spending the rest of my days just writing music."

The hard rock metal band remains retired from full-scale touring but has upcoming special shows this year. This includes performances in Brazil for the Bangers Open Air on April 26, followed by a headline show on August 27 in Illinois, as well as a special performance in Indiana with FireHouse on August 29.

View this post on Instagram

Lastly, Winger will be participating in The Sands Rocks Festival in Mexico from October 20 to 25.

As for doing a “bus tour” or traveling from city to city in a tour bus, Kip Winger made it clear he’ll never go that route.

“There's no way I'll get on a bus again. That's like a scary movie. I just can't do that,” he said.

According to him, the last bus tour that they did was with Tom Keifer (of Cinderella) for the LIVE & LOUD in 2023, which he described as “rough.”

'80s Teen Pop Icons Debbie Gibson and Tiffany Share a Funny Run-In With Each Other

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 11:44pm

Back in the late '80s, teen pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany (aka, Tiffany Darwish) ran into each quite a bit—but it was usually moving up on the Billboard charts, which both singer dominated off and on in that era. Today, however, Debbie, now 55, and Tiffany, now 54, ran into each in a slightly less glamorous spot—at the porta-potties during a nostalgia convention of all places.

Both women were featured guests at Rewind Washington, a nostalgia and retro convention, which was being held this weekend at the Washington State Fair and Events Center in Puyallup, Washington. And well, when nature calls ...

Gibson posted the silly and adorable meetup, laughing and saying, "You never know who you're gonna run into at the porta-potties!"

"Hello, so glamorous!" Tiffany says, and the duo pose for a quick video and exchange niceties.

How cute is this? And what year is it?

Both teens at the time, Debbie and Tiffany rose to fame around and about 1987 and skyrocketed with big hits. At age 16, Gibson debuted her album Out of the Blue, featuring hits like "Only in My Dreams" and "Shake Your Love," and, at age, 15, Tiffany released her self-titled debut album, Tiffany, with the popular "I Think We're Alone Now" cover.

In 1987, there probably was not a high school dance in a cafeteria in all of America that wasn't playing both these artists. While the teen mags at the time tried to make up a faux rivalry between to two pop sensations, the two were actually friendly and supportive as young teen stars. They didn't get to know each other until a few years later when they starred in the movie Mega Python vs. Gatoroid (2011) together.

Take a step back to the late '80s with these Debbie Gibson and Tiffany hits:

Country Star Looks Nearly Unrecognizable After Debuting Bold New Look at the iHeartRadio Music Awards

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 11:25pm

Lainey Wilson was among the performers and nominees on Thursday night (March 26) during the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Along with receiving nods for Country Artist of the Year and Favorite Tour Tradition, the Louisiana-born star, 33, delivered a medley of some of her biggest hits and fan favorite tracks.

The three-song set — in order — included “Wild Flowers and Wild Horses,” “Hang Tight Honey,” and “Heart Like a Truck.” During the second song, which belongs on her 2024 Whirlwind album, Wilson surprised fans, removing her signature cowboy hat and flaunting her entire head of sandy blonde hair for all to see.

As she does with wearing bell-bottoms, Wilson usually performs with her head covered up, so the moment served as a rare treat for the audience and viewers watching the live broadcast. For her performance, Wilson paired her long tresses with a black-and-white lacy pair of bell-bottoms and a matching halter top. She also accessorized her look with sheer arm-length gloves.

The moment came after Wilson treated fans to “Wild Flowers and Wild Horses,” which saw her delivering the tune in a Stetson while appearing from behind the microphone, in black-and-white film. After “Hang Tight Honey,” she closed out her medley with her 2022 release of “Heart Like a Truck,” which appears on her third studio album, Bell Bottom Country

Lainey Wilson Also Had a Full-Circle Moment

Aside from her major performance, Wilson also served as a presenter for the night. She was on hand to announce Miley Cyrus as the recipient of the iHeartRadio Innovator Award. The moment was extra special as it brought Wilson full circle. Before finding fame, she booked shows as a Hannah Montana impersonator.

“Miley Cyrus is what happens when fearlessness meets evolution. She didn’t just grow up in front of the world: She redefined herself in front of it over and over and then over again …,” Wilson told the audience. “… From breaking out of a box that people tried to put her in, to pushing boundaries in sound and style, in storytelling. She keeps taking risks that most artists would not dare to take…. (and that) move culture forward. Miley reminds us that artistry is not about staying comfortable. It is about staying honest. That is what you call innovation, folks. And that is Miley Cyrus.”

1970 No. 1 Hit Became a Career-Defining Classic

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 10:55pm

Topping the charts once is already an incredible accomplishment, but Aretha Franklin did it 20 times, tying her with Stevie Wonder for the most successful run in R&B history.

In 1970, the iconic singer released the single "Call Me," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart, marking the eighth top R&B hit of her career. Although this was not her first success, it was her first since her divorce from her husband of eight years, an experience that heavily inspired the song.

Featured on her album This Girl’s in Love with You, the track stood out for its emotional sincerity and simplicity. Instead of building toward a huge vocal peak, Franklin kept her vocals controlled and intimate, allowing her feelings to shine through the production. This approach gave the song a different kind of power, one that felt direct and personal without ever needing to be overstated.

Franklin's instinctive approach to music defined much of her success. In a 1999 interview with Fresh Air, she explained, while speaking about her struggles with recording music, "We weren't getting to the music in the way that we should have. It just wasn't coming off. And finally someone said, 'Aretha, why don't you sit down and play?' And I did, and it just happened. It all just happened. We arrived, and we arrived very quickly."

That same instinct carried into "Call Me," not just in how she performed it, but in how it came to life. Beyond her natural, genuine voice delivering the song, the story behind it added another layer of soul. Franklin wrote the song after overhearing a young couple in New York say goodbye with the words "I love you… call me," turning that brief moment into an eternal ballad.

Recorded soon after her divorce, the track carries a real sense of emotional vulnerability, encapsulating love's ups and downs with a sincerity few singers manage to convey.

By that point in her career, Franklin had already reshaped soul music, but "Call Me" served as a reminder of how deserving she was of her success. It remains one of the most genuine and emotional songs of her era, capturing a softer side of her artistry while still reinforcing exactly why her voice carried so much weight.

Best-Selling Author’s Novel Ranked ‘Best Book of the Decade’ on Goodreads

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 10:46pm

Best-selling author V. E. Schwab has achieved a feat that few writers do with one of her most beloved novels.

Her book, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, has been ranked the best book of the decade on Goodreads, based entirely on reader votes. The ranking reflects a combination of factors, including how many users voted for the book and how highly they ranked it, making it a strong indicator of lasting reader impact.

Originally published in 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the novel quickly became a favorite among fans for its unique premise and emotional depth. "I hope if anything that this weird little hopeful story can help people escape for just a little while and find a little bit of solace," Schwab told Entertainment Weekly shortly before the novel's release.

View this post on Instagram

The story follows Addie LaRue, a young woman in 18th-century France who makes a desperate bargain to live forever only to be cursed so that no one remembers her. As Addie moves through centuries, she experiences a life marked by freedom, loneliness and fleeting connections until everything changes when someone finally remembers her name. The novel blends elements of fantasy, romance and historical fiction, creating a story that resonates across genres.

"I was inspired by Peter Pan and the loss of memory, by my own grandmother’s dementia and the way my mother watched herself being erased from her memory, by the classic depictions of Faustian bargains and the idea that men and women move through the world differently, and are afforded different space, by the promise of forever, and what it means to leave a mark," Schwab said in an interview with the Los Angeles Public Library.

Schwab, known for her imaginative storytelling and richly developed characters, has built a devoted following with works like Vicious and the Shades of Magic series. But The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue stands out as one of her most emotionally resonant and widely celebrated books.

Since its release, the novel has continued to gain momentum through word-of-mouth and online communities, particularly among readers who connect with its themes of identity, memory and what it means to leave a mark on the world.

With its top ranking on Goodreads, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue has solidified its place as a modern classic, one that continues to captivate readers years after its debut.

A Man Once Arrested for Stalking Billie Eilish Is Dead After Being Struck by a Train

A man previously arrested for stalking "Bad Guy" singer Billie Eilish is dead after he was struck by a train in Long Island in the early morning hours earlier this week.

Prenell Rousseau was reportedly jogging "on or near" the tracks in Westbury, New York, this past Wednesday when an LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) commuter train hit him shortly after 5:30 a.m. Law enforcement sources told the New York Post that his death appeared to be accidental. It's unknown if he died immediately or if he was transported to the hospital for treatment prior to his death.

The Young Man's 'Erratic Behavior' Led to His Arrest in 2020

Rousseau was once arrested in Los Angeles for trespassing on Eilish's property multiple times across two days, back in 2020. According to the publication, he rang her doorbell, asking her father, who answered the call, to confirm if she lived there. Despite telling the 30-year-old that he had the wrong house, Rousseau returned later than night, causing the family to call for private security as he exhibited "erratic behavior" on their property.

“While we waited for security, Mr. Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue,” Eilish said in court as she sought an order of protection, which she was granted. “My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused.”

Rousseau's appearance also came in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and his lack of face mask and repeated touching of the doorknob and doorbell without any gloves on caused additional concern for the singer and her parents.

Billie Eilish May Have Been Inspired By the Scary Incident on Her Latest Album

Years later, Eilish put out a song called "The Diner" on 2024's Hit Me Hard and Soft, which is told from the perspective of a stalker in love with a female celeb. It's not confirmed if the situation with Rousseau inspired the lyrics, which included, "I’m here around the clock, I’m waiting on your block, but please don’t call the cops, they’ll make me stop and I just wanna talk."

Tyler Cameron Reveals the 1 Thing You Need to Become a DIY Pro

Not all of us pop out of the womb knowing how to tile a backsplash or build a floating shelf. For most of us, DIY skills come with a learning curve. By learning curve, I mean a few crooked shelves, some questionable paint jobs, and at least one "okay, let's pretend that didn't happen" moment.

That's kind of the deal, though—you figure it out as you go, and every fail gets you a little closer to actually knowing what you're doing. But here's the thing that makes a huge difference: having the right tools from the start. It's a lot easier to feel confident when your equipment isn't working against you.

Which is where Tyler Cameron comes in. Long before his reality TV days, he was working in construction and as a contractor, so he knows his way around a renovation. Now, after stepping in as a judge on HGTV's Bachelor Mansion Takeover, he's teaming up with girlfriend Tate Madden and TINKR to make DIY feel a little less intimidating—and a lot more doable.

"Our whole thing is DIY seems intimidating, but once you start doing things, you're like, 'Oh, this isn't as bad as I thought,'" Cameron told Parade at an HGTV party hosted at the Bachelor Mansion. "I put the TINKR power drill to the test, and I was building with a bunch of two-by-fours and two-by-sixes. It was a workhorse. I was very surprised and pleased."

The drill Cameron is referencing the TINKR 12V Cordless Brushless Drill, which retails for $99.99 and comes in either a modern navy or green colorway. And while it's a great tool for a wide range of skill levels, it isn't even the first TINKR product the Bachelorette alum would recommend to hone your DIY prowess.

The One Product You Need to Get Started as a DIY Beginner

We had to get Cameron's advice on how to set up a simple tool kit when you're just testing the waters of DIY.

"Just go buy our TINKR Full Modern Tool Box kit," he says. "It's all there with allen wrenches, tape measure, regular wrench, a box cutter, a ratchet screwdriver—it's great."

The kit, which retails for $79.99 at Target, really is a very comprehensive collection of tools, whether you're a beginner or a little more advanced. And if you don't want to take Cameron's word for it, the Target reviews don't lie, and they're all five stars.

"I love this tool kit," wrote a happy customer in their review. "It comes with all the necessities. The screwdriver is awesome because it has so many available parts to use for different kinds of screws. Everything has it's place in the toolbox so I won't lose any of the pieces!"

Target carries a bunch of other TINKR products as well, including a Wall Patch Kit and a Painting Kit.

1971 Career-Defining Classic Was a No. 1 Hit Song 55 Years Ago Today

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 9:50pm

The Temptations’ song “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)” became a global sensation in the 1970s thanks to its “psychedelic soul” sound and the signature falsetto of member Eddie Kendricks.

Released in 1971, the single was part of their fourteenth studio album Sky's the Limit.

Amid the global success of the song, “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)” marked their third No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Fifty-five years ago today, their iconic single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks.

At the same time, it was also the number one single on the Billboard R&B Singles chart and remained at the top for three consecutive weeks.

In addition to its popularity in the U.S., the song also reached No. 8 on the Official UK Singles Chart and landed at No. 72 on Canada’s RPM Top Singles chart.

The Unexpected Story Behind The Temptations’ 1971 Hit

Written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong, the legendary Motown duo, this was a notable single from the album with David Ruffin on lead vocals.

Moreover, this was also The Temptations’ last song to feature Kendricks and Paul Williams as members.

In a report cited by The Guardian, the group experienced internal tensions, particularly between members Otis Williams and Kendricks, prior to the release of the album.

“At the time, Eddie Kendricks, the band's lead singer, and I weren't getting on,” Otis told the outlet. “That's how it is in a group. You have personality clashes. He wanted to go solo, take control of his own destiny. We didn't know that this would be his last recording with us. We'd start at seven at night and go right through to the wee small hours. It was a tedious process: Norman was quite a taskmaster and he'd fry your nerves. Eddie didn't leave the studio until morning, having delivered a wonderful, sweet, tender, sincere performance.”

Moreover, he also described the personal struggle within the group as a “bad memory,” especially the departure of Williams, who at that time was dealing with health issues.

“Paul Williams has the line: ‘Every night on my knees I pray.’ This leads into Eddie singing: ‘Dear Lord, hear my plea. Don't ever let another take her away from me, or I would surely die.’ It was getting to the point where we were going to have to let Paul go, health-wise. It's a bad memory. It was difficult. He was a wonderful person, kind of like the soul of the group, but illness was taking him out of the game,” he shared.

Williams, who launched a solo career that same year, passed away just two years after leaving The Temptations.

1976 Timeless Classic Was a No. 1 Hit Song 50 Years Ago Today

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 9:40pm

Fifty years ago today, a soulful country tune climbed to the very top of the charts and made music history.

On March 28, 1976, “You'll Lose a Good Thing” by Freddy Fender reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, marking another major milestone in the singer’s remarkable career.

The song, a heartfelt warning about love and regret, became Fender’s fourth No. 1 country hit. Its success helped cement his place as one of the most influential crossover artists of the 1970s, blending country with Latin and blues sounds in a way few had done before.

Originally written and recorded by Barbara Lynn in 1962, “You’ll Lose a Good Thing” first gained attention as a rhythm and blues hit. Lynn’s version reached No. 1 on the R&B chart and broke into the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to its bluesy and emotional delivery.

More than a decade later, Fender gave the song a fresh identity. His 1975 recording kept the original’s soulful feel but added a smooth country style that connected with a wider audience. By April 1976, the track had climbed to No. 1 on the country chart, proving its lasting appeal across genres.

The song also performed well beyond country radio. It reached No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 and landed on the Adult Contemporary chart, showing how Fender’s version resonated with listeners from different backgrounds.

The success of “You’ll Lose a Good Thing” came during the peak of Fender’s career in the mid-1970s. Born Baldemar Garza Huerta in San Benito, Texas, Fender rose from humble beginnings to become a chart-topping star. He began performing as a child and later adopted his stage name, inspired by the popular Fender guitar brand.

His breakthrough came just a year earlier with hits like “Before the Next Teardrop Falls” and “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights.” These songs showcased his unique mix of English and Spanish lyrics, along with influences from country, Tejano, rockabilly, and blues.

Fender once described his journey as having “three successful careers,” reflecting his ability to adapt and thrive across different musical eras. From early rockabilly recordings to country-pop success and later collaborations in groups like Texas Tornados, his versatility set him apart.

“You’ll Lose a Good Thing” played a key role in that success. It not only added another No. 1 hit to his name but also showed how he could transform an R&B classic into a country staple without losing its emotional core.

Even decades later, the song continues to find new listeners through streaming platforms and anniversary tributes. Fender, who passed away in 2006 at age 69, remains a respected figure in both country and Latin music.

Today, fans still celebrate the song’s message and melody, proving that great music does not fade with time. Fifty years after topping the charts, “You’ll Lose a Good Thing” stands as a reminder of Fender’s talent and the power of a truly timeless hit.

1979 Hit Ranked Among Best ‘Classic Rock Songs’ of All Time Became a Timeless Classic

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 9:26pm

“Comfortably Numb,” the 1979 hit by Pink Floyd, more than four decades ago, has been ranked among the greatest classic rock songs of all time, proving its lasting power across generations of listeners.

The recognition comes from Ultimate Classic Rock (UCR), which placed the track at No. 9 on its carefully curated list of the Top 100 Classic Rock Songs, highlighting one standout track per artist to keep the competition fair and focused.

Released as part of the band’s iconic album The Wall in 1979, “Comfortably Numb” stands as one of Pink Floyd’s most celebrated songs. It tells a haunting story of isolation and detachment, inspired by bassist Roger Waters’ real-life experience of being injected with tranquilizers before a live performance in 1977.

The track is also known for its unique collaboration between Waters and guitarist David Gilmour. Despite their well-documented creative tensions, the two artists combined their ideas to create something unforgettable. Waters wrote the lyrics and sang the verses, while Gilmour composed the music and delivered the soaring chorus.

Their disagreements during recording became part of the song’s legend. Waters wanted a rich orchestral feel, while Gilmour preferred a simpler, raw sound. In the end, they reached a compromise: blending both styles into the final version fans know today.

UCR noted that “Comfortably Numb” was one of the rare moments when the two musicians truly worked together despite ongoing conflicts, making the song even more significant in the band’s history.

“Comfortably Numb” also gained fame for its powerful guitar solos, widely regarded as among the best in rock music. Over the years, critics and fans alike have praised Gilmour’s performance as a defining moment in his career.

The song’s legacy continued long after its release. When Pink Floyd reunited for the 2005 Live 8 concert, they chose “Comfortably Numb” as their closing number. It later became even more meaningful when it turned out to be the final song performed by the classic lineup, following the death of keyboardist Richard Wright in 2008.

Beyond live performances, the track has earned consistent recognition in major rankings and polls, further solidifying its place in music history.

Even today, Pink Floyd’s influence remains strong. The band recently announced a new live album recorded during their 1975 tour at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. The release will include rare performances and will be available in multiple formats, including a limited-edition vinyl for Record Store Day on April 18. A 2 CD edition is set for release on April 24.

The continued release of archival material shows how the band’s music continues to reach new audiences. From classic albums like The Dark Side of the Moon to The Wall, Pink Floyd’s catalog remains a cornerstone of rock history.

With over 250 million records sold worldwide, the band’s impact is undeniable.

A Major Candy Shipment's Theft May Result in Easter Shortages

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 9:11pm

Your Easter basket may be looking a little less full this year after thieves managed to pull off a massive chocolate heist, making off with 12 tons of KitKat bars.

The candy was stolen mid-transport, somewhere in between a European production plant and it distribution centers, Swiss food corporation Nestle told the news outlet Agence France-Presse, per CBS News.

With over 400,000 units of the beloved chocolate treats now missing from the lineup, there's a potential for in-store shortages, and timing couldn't be worse with the candy-centered holiday right around the corner.

"We've always encouraged people to have a break with KitKat," a spokesperson told the publication, playing on the brand's famous catch phrase. "But it seems thieves have taken the message too literally and made a break with more than 12 tons of our chocolate."

The truck in question was headed from Italy to Poland when it went missing. It's unclear at this time if the driver was involved, or if they were hurt during the theft, but so far there's no trace of the vehicle, nor the candy.

The parent company noted that "investigations are ongoing," with local authorities and partners in the supply chain all involved. They expect that the stolen bars of chocolate may eventually "enter unofficial sales channels," but they'll remain traceable by the batch codes printed on the packaging for each bar.

If scanned, "clear instructions" will be displayed to contact KitKat and report the discovery.

Luckily, the rest of your favorite candies should be all set to go, like Haribo's Easter exclusives.
