Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor: Inside the Cheating Scandal, Painful Divorce and New Custody Deal

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 11:07am

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s relationship has played out very publicly—and very dramatically—for more than a decade now. The Vanderpump Rules stars, whose romance began in Las Vegas before unfolding on reality TV, have taken fans along for every high and low, from a cheating scandal and a televised wedding to the arrival of their son, Cruz, and, ultimately, a split.

With Season 3 of The Valley — the spinoff that was originally meant to showcase Brittany and Jax settling into suburban family life — now here, let’s take a look at where things stand between the exes, including the latest on custody and how they’re navigating life post-breakup.

How did Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor meet?

Brittany and Jax first met in 2015, at the Gold Spike in Las Vegas. At the time, Jax was already a main cast member on Vanderpump Rules, which was then in its third season, and Brittany, who worked at a Hooters in Kentucky, had no clue he was a reality TV star.

“He came [up] to me!” she said on her podcast When Reality Hits, which she initially co-hosted with Jax. “There are so many rumors out there that I came to [him] on Instagram or hit [him] up in a DM or whatever.”

Either way, sparks flew and they began a long-distance relationship, traveling back and forth to see each other before Brittany eventually made the move to Los Angeles and into Jax’s “tiny, tiny studio apartment,” she recalled on the podcast. “It had no air conditioning. You couldn’t even dry your hair and have a fan on at the same time or the power went out.”

Brittany first appeared as Jax’s new girlfriend on the fourth season of Vanderpump Rules, and she officially started working at SUR—the restaurant at the center of the show—in May 2016. By Season 6, she was a main cast member.

When did Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor get married?

Brittany and Jax exchanged vows on June 29, 2019 at the Kentucky Castle in her home state. The ceremony, which was officiated by Lance Bass, featured heavily in Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules, with guests including cast members Ariana Madix, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute and Lala Kent, among others.

Celebrating their one-year anniversary in 2020, Brittany wrote on Instagram, “Thank you for making me laugh every single day and for being my best friend. You’re my lobster and I love you to pieces.” She filed for divorce about four years later, in August 2024.

Did Jax Taylor cheat on Brittany Cartwright?

Yes. Jax cheated on Brittany with former SUR waitress Faith Stowers in 2017, and the fallout became a major storyline on Vanderpump Rules Season 6. (The tension exploded in Episode 2, when Brittany famously told Jax to “rot in hell.”) Following a brief on-again, off-again period, the pair reconciled in December 2017 following the death of Jax’s father, and got engaged in June 2018.

Looking back, Brittany has said she doesn’t believe Jax cheated on her during their marriage. “We worked together. We did everything together,” she explained.  “I had all his passwords. I had everything. I would use his phone. He would use my phone. And honestly, he was just sleeping, snoring on the couch, and farting everywhere.”

That said, she admitted she wouldn’t be surprised if he stepped out on her more times than she knew while they were dating. “Because there were times where I just knew he did, but he would just never admit to it, or I could never get 100 percent proof,” she said. “But my gut has never been wrong.”

Are Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor together?

Nope. Brittany first announced their separation in February 2024, one month before the premiere of their show The Valley, which was meant to follow the couple into suburban Los Angeles. She revealed the news on her podcast When Reality Hits, which she once cohosted with Jax, telling listeners it was “important to be real and honest” with them.

“I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she added.

In August of that year, she filed for divorce. Updating fans on her podcast yet again, she said, “It's taken me many, many years to get to this point where I've gained enough courage and strength to do what was best for me, get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth. It's been very difficult, but I'm stronger than ever and my motivation is my son…who deserves a happy and healthy mommy."

She also seemed to commemorate her divorce filing on Instagram, posting a photo of herself alongside the caption, “Getting my sparkle back.’

View this post on Instagram Why did Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor split?

Neither Brittany nor Jax has singled out one reason for their divorce, but from what they’ve shared, it’s clear their relationship was bogged down by unhealthy patterns and toxic behaviors.

After their initial separation, Brittany revealed on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that a particularly messy fight pushed her to move out of her home with Jax.

“...[W]e just had a horrible fight, and it was like the veil was lifted and I noticed everything wrong,” she said. “You know, they always say a woman can hit her breaking point, and then it's hard to come back from that.”

Another turning point, which took place while they were separated, involved Jax throwing furniture after he discovered that Brittany had been messaging his friend Julian. That incident prompted him to enter a 30-day mental health facility, where he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post traumatic stress disorder.

“It saved my life,” he said of the stay. “I’m probably still here right now because of Brittany and everybody saying, ‘Listen, you need to go.’” (Still, she filed for divorce after his release.)

Jax has also opened up about his alcohol and cocaine addiction, which apparently played a role in his marital issues, too. “I'm glad that he finally admitted to what was really going on,” Brittany said. “For the first time, I can speak openly about the extent of trauma he's instilled on our family over the years.”

How many kids do Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have together?

The reality TV veterans share one son, Cruz, who was born April 12, 2021.

View this post on Instagram Is Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s son autistic?

Yes. In April 2025, Brittany revealed that her son was diagnosed with autism by his developmental pediatrician in the fall of 2024, before the second season of The Valley wrapped. Her journey navigating her son’s developmental challenges—particularly his speech regression around age 2—was featured as a storyline in the show’s first season.

"Our life is going to look a little bit different, but I feel like I was meant to be his mom," she told People. "He is my better half. He is my little partner in crime. He is everything to me, and even though he can't talk, I know everything that he wants, everything that he needs.”

Did Jax Taylor lose custody of his son?

No. Jax and Brittany reached a custody agreement in March 2026, establishing joint legal and physical custody of their son, Cruz. Under the arrangement, Jax will have Cruz every other weekend and on Wednesday nights, while Brittany will have him the rest of the time.

Both parties have also agreed to remain free of alcohol, marijuana or other substances while caring for Cruz.

Why is Jax Taylor not returning to The Valley?

In July 2025, Jax revealed that he wouldn’t return for Season 3 of The Valley. “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley," he said in a statement

"Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself—especially for our son, Cruz.”

Season 3 of The Valley premieres April 1 on Bravo and streams next day on Peacock.

Is 'Abbott Elementary' New Tonight? (April 1, 2026) What to Know About the April Fool’s Episode + Exclusive Clip

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 11:00am

Abbott Elementary is back tonight with an all-new episode titled "April Fools."

In this week’s episode, the teachers realize it’s April 1, which means it’s April Fool’s Day. When the school’s resident prankster calls in sick, the teachers become subject to an onslaught of pranks orchestrated by a mystery prankster and assume it’s the students. When the teachers realize the students couldn’t possibly manage the level of detailed pranks being executed at the school, teachers and administrators begin to suspect one another. Everyone becomes a suspect until the teachers realize the April Fool’s Day jokester is not who they think it is. Panic ensues, and so does the comedy.

Exclusive Clip From Abbott Elementary April Fools Episode

In an exclusive clip from this week’s episode, Janine (Quinta Brunson), Gregory (Tyler James Williams), Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph), Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter), and Jacob (Chris Perfetti) realize it’s April Fool’s Day. In direct protest of April Fool’s Day, Gregory comes up with a clever way to survive the day and create a new holiday in the meantime.

Why the April Fools Episode Stands Out

April Fools is one of the season’s best episodes. The episode relies on the characters’ signature banter and recurring jokes while ending on a heartfelt note indicative of the tone that has made Abbott Elementary one of the most-watched comedies on TV today.

Season 5 Success and What’s Next View this post on Instagram

Now in its fifth season, the Quinta Brunson-created comedy is known for its rapid-fire jokes matched with character-driven story arcs that somehow always manage to tug at your heartstrings—all while delivering a searing belly laugh.

A ratings success on both network TV and streaming on Hulu, the ABC comedy just announced it has been picked up for its sixth season. Season 5 has delivered some of the show’s biggest laughs and swing-for-the-fences storylines, including "Ballgame," which was filmed during a live Philadelphia Phillies game and featured a cameo from Phillies star Kyle Schwarber, and "Game Night," which featured Gregory’s version of a game night—awkward for the win.

The show’s April Fool’s Day episode is in contention for one of Season 5’s best, no joke.

Abbott Elementary's April Fool's Day episode airs Wednesday, April 1 at 8:30-9:02 p.m. EST and can be streamed the next day on Hulu.

'Matlock' Sneak Peek: Olympia Visits Shae Behind Bars After Jury Tampering Arrest (Exclusive)

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 11:00am

On Matlock, the big trial that Olympia (Skye P. Marshall) is working on along with Matty Matlock (Kathy Bates) and jury consultant Shae Banfield (Yael Grobglas) had a shocking end result when Shae was arrested for jury tampering.

Shae, who is best known as the human lie detector, had a scene earlier that episode where she met with Senior (Beau Bridges), who advised her that her future was only secure in the law firm's pending merger if she won her trial. At least, that was what he implied. That left it so there could be a suspicion that Shae is actually guilty of jury tampering to try to cement her future.

In this exclusive scene from “The Cavalry Isn’t Coming” episode, Olympia is visiting Shae in jail.

Matlock: The Cavalry Isn’t Coming (1:14)

“I’ve never been accused of any misconduct,” Shae insists. “Trying to bribe a juror, it’s ridiculous. As is the fact that you aren’t doing anything to stop it.”

“I’m trying, Shae, but a juror was definitely approached, so until I get my hands on whatever the DA thinks they have…” Olympia attempts to reassure her.

Shae interrupts, “They have something false, okay? Someone wanted a mistrial. Flip the table. Heads need to roll.”

Olympia responds, “And they will. I know you didn’t do this.”

“Then why aren’t we having this conversation on the sidewalk?” Shae asks. “You need to get me out of here now. We’re Jacobson Moore. What good is holding all the strings if you can’t pull them?”

Olympia explains, “I did pull them. I am not even supposed to see you until your arraignment.”

Shae gets desperate, “Olympia, I can’t spend the night in this tank with these [she fumbles for a word]…citizens.”

Olympia says, “You won’t. You’ll be transferred to Central Booking. A bigger tank with 60 other citizens. Just get through the night.”

But then Shae’s future becomes even more precarious when Matty is assigned to represent her at trial, creating problems for Matty at home when she has to inform Edwin (Sam Anderson) that their plans for their 50thwedding anniversary have to be put on hold.

Matlock airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Streams next day on Paramount+.

Olipop And Goodwipes' Cheeky April Fools' Prank Has The Internet Begging For It To Be Real

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 11:00am

Olipop and goodwipes have collaborated on a new April Fools' Day joke product, Peaches & Cream flushable wipes, which borrow their design and scent from Olipop's actual drink flavor of the same name.

The companies announced their "Peachy Clean" collaboration on April Fools' Day, revealing that the peaches and cream scented wipes are all in good fun, in honor of the prank-fueled holiday.

The April Fools' product rollout included the tagline "Treat your butt as good as your gut," a playful nod to each company's respective product lines—Olipop as a prebiotic soda line and goodwipes as a hygiene brand offering plant-based, flushable wet wipes.

Already, the joke collaboration announcement post is flooded with comments wishing that this April Fools' Day prank was the real deal. One commenter writes, "This better not be a prank 🥲," and another says, "please don't be a joke please don't be a joke."

View this post on Instagram

Olipop emerged in 2018 as an alternative to other soda brands, with drinks containing high fiber and 2-5 grams of sugar per can. The brand offers a range of flavors, including traditional soda flavors like Classic Root Beer and Vintage Cola, in addition to creative combinations like Banana Cream and Strawberry Vanilla. Olipop is also vegan, non-GMO, paleo and gluten free.

Founded in 2013, goodwipes is a hygiene brand focused on eco-friendly products, including flushable wipes—or, "actually flushable wipes," as the company's trademark says. The company is dedicated to offering a safe, sustainable option for flushable wipes, as opposed to wipes that may cause damage to plumbing or other concerns, and is therefore a member of the Responsible Flushing Alliance and Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry.

Although the "Peaches and Cream" flushable wipes have now been revealed to be a prank product for April Fools' Day, goodwipes does offer a mix of scents, which includes botanical bliss, lavender, rosewater, cedar and shea-coco. Each brand has also had its fair share of true limited edition collaborations in the past, such as Olipop's Barbie-inspired design (for its Peaches & Cream flavor, incidentally), its limited time Shirley Temple flavor and its Pineapple Paradise SpongeBob-inspired flavor and design.

Nancy Guthrie Update: New Detail Emerges in Back Doors That Were Propped Open—Report

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:55am

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing eight weeks after the abduction from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and crime journalist Ashleigh Banfield recently speculated about a detail that "really floored" her about the back doors that were propped open.

During the March 31 episode of Drop Dead Serious with Ashleigh Banfield, the former NewsNation host discussed a new tidbit of information her sources told her about the 84-year-old's case.

"Another detail that really floored me was that the perpetrator used Nancy’s flower pots to do this," she shared. “He took her beautiful flower pots—that I can only imagine she spent time nurturing and making beautiful for her back patio—and he used them for his evil f--king plot."

Banfield reiterated, "He took her beautiful flower pots, and he propped open that screen door." She also revealed that the perpetrator reportedly propped open Nancy's back gate with the flower pots.

Additionally, the journalist brought up that Nancy reportedly rarely locked her back doors. "This might have been one of the ones that was unlocked."

Speaking directly to the unknown person or people responsible for Nancy's disappearance, Banfield asked, "What's so fascinating about this is why. Why'd you prop them open? What was the reason that you needed those things to stay open—the back gate and her back kitchen doors, the screen door and the heavy door?"

During an interview with Hoda Kotb that aired on Today on March 26, Savannah revealed new details about Nancy’s home after her disappearance—including that the back doors were left open.

“We thought that she must have had, like, some kind of medical episode in the night. And somehow, the paramedics had come because the back doors were propped open, you know?” Savannah explained of the initial theory she and her siblings, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie, had. “We thought maybe they came, and there was a stretcher, and they took her out the back. But her phone was there, and her purse was there, and all her things. And it just didn’t make any sense.”

Because of Nancy's bad back, her kids quickly ruled out the possibility of her wandering off.

“On a good day, she could walk down to the mailbox and get the mail. But most days, not," she pointed out. "So there was no wander off. And the doors were propped open, and there was blood on the front doorstep, and the Ring camera had been yanked off.”

Nancy was last seen at her Tucson home on the evening of Jan. 31. As of writing, neither the Pima County Sheriff's Department nor the FBI has named a suspect.

Shark Tank Judge Kevin O'Leary Claims There's a Way for a Person Earning $68K a Year to Become a Millionaire by Retirement

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:53am

With so much financial uncertainty in the news lately, it can be hard to know what the right move is when it comes to your retirement savings. From wanting to throw as much pre-tax income into your 401(k) as possible, to trying to take advantage of bigger opportunities by purchasing investment properties, there's almost too many choices.

However, Shark Tank'sKevin O'Learyhas one piece of advice that he says everyone should be following, and he claims it will allow someone who is making just $68,000 to be able to turn into a millionaire by the time they retire. Here's what he says.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Kevin O'Leary Says You Can Become a Millionaire by Retirement

The financial guru shared his retirement tip on Instagram, telling his followers that this money rule is so important, it's actually the one he shares with his own family. “What piece of advice do I give my kids over and over and over again about money,” a suit-clad O'Leary asked in the video. “Don’t spend it. Save it. Invest it. Let it compound. That’s the gift the market gives you.”

According to him, you don't even have to be bringing in the big bucks to make this work. “If you make $68,000 a year, the average salary, and you do this your entire life, just 15 percent of your paycheck, you’ll end up a millionaire at retirement at 65."

When it comes to what type of investments you should be making, you may want to follow the blueprint O'Leary has already drawn up by checking out some of what O'Shares Investment Advisors (OUSA) is currently investing in, with O'Leary at the helm as chairman. According to Sure Dividend, they include:

  • Cisco Systems (CSCO)
  • Accenture plc (ACN)
  • Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)
  • Home Depot (HD)
  • McDonald’s Corporation (MCD)
  • MasterCard Inc. (MA)
  • Visa Inc. (V)
  • Apple Inc. (AAPL)
  • Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL)
  • Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)

The Math Checks Out on O'Leary's Financial Advice

I'm always skeptical whenever I hear someone say that doing "this one simple thing" can help you make boatloads of money, but the math actually checks out on this one. That's because 15 percent of $68,000 works out to be around $10,200 a year.

If you're working for 40 years, and investing the amount that O'Leary suggests, you could be looking at a big payday depending on where you invest your money. Just how big? Well, according to Fortune, someone following this formula from the age of 25 to 65 could be looking at $5.3 million by retirement.

Not Everyone Is a Fan of the Intense Saving Model

Of course, financial advice isn't one-size-fits-all, and what works for O'Leary and others may not work for you for a variety of reasons. For example, one person commented on the Shark Tank star's Instagram Reel, saying they'd rather enjoy their hard-earned money while they are young, writing, "What's the point of being rich at 65? It's too late. Enjoy your life now."

"It’s not all or nothing," another person added. "It’s a balance of enjoying life today but planning for 65."

While people are obviously a little divided about this advice, it does make sense, especially if you start young and don't have much debt or many financial obligations to consider.

Oreo’s New Limited-Edition Cookie Only Sounds Like a Joke

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:51am

Oreo is taking the whimsy of April Fools' Day up a notch, dropping an exclusive, limited-edition cookie flavor that only sounds like a prank.

While other brands tease fans with fake products and unexpected collaborations, Oreo is suggesting the joke is actually on them, as it's making its rather unconventional and head-turning drop a reality: Dill Pickle Oreos.

The "Big Dill" drop, as the brand calls it, is the real deal and it follows the release of several other equally controversial cookie flavors (who could forget its Thanksgiving dinner-inspired cookies). That said, it will only be around for a limited time—a much more limited time than previous Oreo exclusives—so if you're someone who just has to try it, you're going to have to act fast.

Not A Joke: Oreo Drops a Dill Pickle Flavor

According to the official posts about the new drop, the new variety doesn't feature a dill pickle-flavored Oreo, but rather dill pickle-flavored fudge that's evenly coated on all sides of the cookie.

The "bold" fudge flavor "captures the essence of everyone's favorite jarred snack," per the description. Apparently, Oreo sees this as the next phase of its "boundary-pushing" experimental fudge-covered specials, calling the small-batch release a "playful take on beloved and unexpected flavor profiles."

Fans certainly agree with at least part of that statement, some even say the new treat makes no sense, and we'd have to agree, but clearly this release isn't for us (we'll stick to snacking on its S'mores flavor, which is officially returning for the season), it's for those who love pickles so much that they'd eat them on nearly anything—even an Oreo cookie.

"Not a fever dream!" fast food influencer Markie_devo teased in a recent Instagram post, "Not an April fools!🥒🍪."

"I would buy this," a second admitted, "but I feel like no one would try them with me."

A few others claimed to have already purchased the item, tagging their friends to prepare them for what's to come, like one who excitedly cheered, "I got them! 🥒."

"Just ordered!" one more gushed.

Mark Cuban Called This His 'Worst Investment'—'Shark Tank's' 10 Biggest Failures, Ranked

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:51am

Shark Tank has left its bite on some businesses over the course of its 17 seasons.

Although the hit ABC reality show that helps entrepreneurs has had a lot of company success stories—such as sock business Bombas and the sponge company Scrub Daddy—not every deal has worked. In fact, there have been some major failures in the show’s history.

As fans know, since Shark Tank debuted in 2009, hopeful business people have pitched their products to moguls like Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Mark Cuban (who left the show in 2025). The season currently airing proves Shark Tank shows no sign of slowing down as contestants continue to seek investment deals in exchange for funding. Plus, viewers still love watching the drama of seeing who gets deals and who doesn’t.

But how have some memorable companies fared after securing offers on the show? Read on to discover the 10 biggest failed deals on Shark Tank, ranked by their financial fallout, legal or ethical issues and just how far they fell from their high-stakes hype.

Shark Tank's 10 Biggest Failures, Ranked10. Foot Fairy — Season 5, Episode 29

Podiatrist Sylvie Shapiro and her pal Nicole Brooks appeared on the show in 2014 and displayed their iPad app aimed at moms to measure children’s foot sizes. It would make commissions by linking to Zappos and other online shoe businesses. The Sharks were taken aback, however, when Brooks admitted they hadn’t received a single commission check from Zappos up until then due to a "glitch."

Shapiro sold Cuban when she said, "We spent over a year determining how to make this the most accurate shoe sizing app." Cuban offered $100,000 in exchange for 40 percent equity, but the deal never closed.

Shapiro and Brooks reportedly hired developers to build them an app which was faulty and didn’t lead to the revenue Foot Fairy was seeking. The company was defunct six months after the show aired.

9. ToyGaroo — Season 2, Episode 2

ToyGaroo—founded by Nikki Pope, Hutch Postik, Phil Smy, Rony Mirzaians and Young Chu—was marketed like the Netflix for toys, a subscription service allowing you to rent different toys every month. Parents could rent toys online and return them, with each toy thoroughly sanitized between uses. If a child fell in love with the toy, parents had the option to buy it.

Pope made a deal with O'Leary and Cuban, raising $250,000 in two funding rounds in 2011. But ToyGaroo is no longer in business.

"Toy companies didn't like us as they saw us as depleting sales by offering rentals," Smy, a software designer and web developer who helped create ToyGaroo's website, told Failory.com in 2018. According to Smy, there were sourcing and shipping issues and the Shark Tank publicity didn’t help.

We asked about Smy about ToyGaroo via LinkedIn. “That’s a lifetime ago," he replied. "I’m not really interested in retreading that ground.”

8. You Smell Soap — Season 3, Episode 3

In 2012, Megan Cummins approached the Sharks with her luxury soap brand. She told them that You Smell Soap "has delicious fragrances and a vibrant personality" and had started as a college project. On the show, Herjavec offered her a $55,000 investment plus a $50,000 salary for 30 percent equity—but the deal never materialized. According to reports, Herjavec changed his offer to $50,000 for 50 percent of the company six months later and Cummins declined it.

Cummins ultimately sold You Smell Soap to another investor. But after that, the business reportedly shut down. As for Cummins, she’s gone on to run More Cats Please, a business that sells luxury cat scratching boards.

7. Sweet Ballz — Season 5, Episode 1

Remember when cake pops were a big craze? In 2013, Sweet Ballz founders James McDonald and Cole Egger pitched their simplified version—cake pops without the sticks—on Shark Tank. They raised $250k for 25 percent equity from Cuban and Corcoran.

Sweet Ballz founders celebrate with Mark Cuban.

Unfortunately, the men had a conflict and as The Dallas Morning News reported, McDonald sued Egger, believing Egger was developing a competing brand called Cake Ballz behind his back. According to TheDailyMeal.com, court document filings showed the plaintiffs filed for the case to be dismissed around mid-November 2013, and dismissal for want of prosecution was filed the following month. The case was reportedly officially closed in July 2014.

The Sweet Ballz website is still active and customers can purchase items like the red velvet 15-pack for $30, but it’s been reported that it’s a side business for McDonald.

6. CATEapp — Season 4, Episode 2

In 2012, entrepreneur Neal Desai pitched his privacy app called CATE (Call and Text Eraser). The app would hide calls and messages on smartphones from selected contacts. Controversially, Desai pitched the product as an app for people to cheat on their significant others, "keeping your indiscretions discreet," he said as the Sharks laughed. Desai’s marketing tagline was "Love is blind. We keep it that way."

Neal Desai's "cheating app" didn't do well after his Shark Tank appearance.

Desai ultimately raised $70,000 for 35 percent equity on camera from O'Leary and John, but the deal reportedly wasn’t finalized after the show. In perhaps a win for morality, the CATEapp wasn’t popular with consumers and went out of business in 2013.

5. Body Jac — Season 1, Episode 5

Flamboyant but out-of-shape "Cactus" Jack Barringer convinced two Sharks to invest in his fitness machine designed to make push-ups easier. But Corcoran told him on the 2009 episode that he needed to look the part: "I see you as a great salesman for this, but that 'gut' is in the way," she said. "Lose 30 pounds." Barringer raised $180k for 50 percent equity from Corcoran and Kevin Harrington and dropped the weight, but Body Jac still went bad!

Forbes reported that Corcoran has said—without elaborating on what went wrong—that Body Jac was her worst ever show deal. In 2024, The Ames Tribune reported that Barringer— known for his cowboy wardrobe—was retiring at age 80.

4. ShowNo Towels — Season 3, Episode 4

In 2012, businesswoman and mom Shelly Ehler pitched a towel shaped like a poncho with a slit on top. It would allow children to use it—hands-free—when changing in or out of bathing suits in public. Ehler was thrilled to be the only entrepreneur in the history of Shark Tank to be handed a $50,000 check on the spot from Greiner. After other moguls showed interest, Ehler accepted Greiner’s offer of $75,000 and 25 percent equity.

Shelly Ehler pitches her unique towel design on Shark Tank.

But Ehler exclusively told Parade that the deal went south, stating that Greiner called her the next day and said, "I’m going to make your dreams come true." However, Ehler alleges that Greiner also told her not to cash the check while they formed a business plan. Apparently, she later wanted to change the deal—offering Ehler only a tiny percentage of equity—which the NoShow Towels creator told us she declined.

Greiner "did generously give me a lot of her time," Ehler recalls. But "never gave me the money. It broke my heart. It was a rough experience. I was broke.”

These days, Ehler is happily working as a hypnotherapist in California and has chalked it up to experience, saying, "I learned incredible lessons…I hold no animosity towards Shark Tank."

3. Hy-Conn — Season 2, Episode 8

Fire captain and inventor Jeff Stroope appeared in the Tank to pitch his hose connectors that would quickly attach to hydrants, saving time in supplying water to fire scenes. "There’s nothing out there like it," he told the cameras. "It’s about saving lives."

Arkansas fireman Jeff Stroope demonstrates his hose connector.

In 2011, Cuban made a deal with Stroope for $1.25 million and 7 percent royalties in exchange for 100% equity, but the mogul reportedly tried to change the terms. Cuban supposedly wanted to start licensing the product to other companies, but Stroope didn't agree.

Still, there were no hard feelings, as Stroope told Parade about the former Shark, "Mark and I still have a good relationship—I still talk to him." Today, Stroope is running Hy-Conn himself and said, "I’m doing fairly well right now." Also, Hy-Conn’s website still trumpets the TV connection—"as seen on Shark Tank."

2. Biem Butter Device — Season 8, Episode 4

In 2016, Doug Foreman looked like a winner when he promoted his utensil that would make buttering food easier. The concept was that people would put a cold stick into his device and butter could be sprayed out onto toast, popcorn, pans—anything really—in a fine, chemical-free mist. "Help us to make the world a butter place," Foreman smiled to the Sharks. Greiner was charmed and said she’d give Foreman $500,000 in return for 14 percent. However, the deal with Greiner didn’t come to fruition after she decided Biem wasn’t ready for mass production.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HGWcxy2BYjY

It forged on and the product got attention, but a Kickstarter campaign went bad and customers complained Biem didn’t work due to clogging. Although a Biem website still exists, it’s been reported that the item has not been sold since 2021.

1. Breathometer — Season 5, Episode 2

All five Sharks got excited and went in together on a deal with Silicon Valley veteran Charles Michael Yim for the Breathometer, which would have allowed people to perform their own breathalyzer tests. Founder Yim claimed that his portable device could measure blood alcohol content after a user plugged it into a smartphone, activated the app and breathed into it. "Within a matter of seconds, you’ll be able to know what your breath alcohol level is and better yet, it can even tell you how long it will take to sober up," Yim told the panel. He raised $1 million for 30 percent equity from O'Leary, Cuban, John, Greiner and Herjavec.

But apparently, the Breathometer didn’t work and would sometimes display an inaccurate blood alcohol level, making it potentially dangerous if people relied on it to see if they were fit to drive. In 2017, the Federal Trade Commission investigated and shut the app down; the company had to issue full refunds to its customers. After the debacle, Cuban called Yim’s Breathometer one of his worst investments in Shark Tank’s history. To this day, it's the only 5-Shark deal to be shut down by the federal government, and that's why it takes the number one spot on our list!

29 Years Ago Today, These 2 Iconic Hosts Swapped Game Shows for April Fool's

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:43am

Remember when Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek graced our TV screens every evening? Cue the nostalgia.

Decades later, their iconic game shows — Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! — continue on, but it was certainly a different era when the pair of iconic hosts owned a certain PM hour, with the rest of the U.S. watching on during dinnertime in the '80s, '90s and beyond.

The 1990s in particular seemed like the decade when Sajak, 79, and Trebek (who died in 2020 at age 80) were really in their groove on their respective programs. It's no wonder, then, why their ultimate April Fool's Day prank came in 1997, exactly 29 years ago today (Wednesday, April 1).

Audiences — both in studio and at home — were reportedly stunned when they tuned into Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune on this day back in the late '90s. In honor of the prank holiday, Trebek and Sajak had literally swapped places as hosts!

And to mark the epic stunt's 25th anniversary, two other TV hosts decided to pull it off in 2022. Late-night staples Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon traded places four years ago in honor of April Fool's Day. Check out the funny clip below.

And fans seemed all for the late-night switch-up at the time, having flooded the YouTube upload's comments section with their support. "They were probably SO out of their comfort zones. Their studio sets are like a second home. They did amazing!!" wrote one user, while another person commented, "This is television at its best. Totally classic humor. Bravo to both hosts, guest, audiences and networks."

And for all the adults out there who might have grown up watching Sajak and Trebek, Parade just released a list of "Ultimate List of 30 April Fools' Pranks for Parents." One idea is to add a rim of red food dye around your kitchen faucet. When you — or your child — runs the water, the dye will bleed into the water, making it look like something out of a horror movie!

The 4 Birth Months That Make the Best Lifelong Friends

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:42am

Friendship holds different meanings at various stages of life, but enduring friendships often share a few core qualities. In astrology, these qualities can sometimes be reflected in the energy associated with a person’s birth month. The time of year in which someone is born carries specific traits that influence how they engage in relationships, including the connections they build and sustain. Some birth months naturally promote the kind of loyalty and reliability that make lifelong friendships possible.

Lifelong friendships don’t form overnight; they develop gradually over time. These connections grow through shared experiences, maintaining contact, and choosing to support one another, even as circumstances change. Life evolves, and people change, yet some friendships manage to endure. While not every friendship is destined to last forever, those that do often have a rich history behind them. The cosmic traits and archetypes associated with the following four birth months can strengthen these enduring bonds.

LEARN MORE: Your Birth Month Describes Your Soul’s Journey

Which Birth Months Are Most Likely To Make The Best Friends?

Check for your birth month. Disregard your birth date.

January

People born in January tend to take their friendships seriously. Either a disciplined Capricorn or an innovative Aquarius, you're selective about who you allow into your life, which contributes to your reputation as a reliable friend. They approach their commitments earnestly, including those to the people they care about. Once someone is significant to them, they are unlikely to walk away or let the connection fade. There is a sense of reliability in their friendships; you always know where you stand with them, and that typically doesn't change. They offer a broader, community-focused perspective. They consider the larger picture, not just one-on-one dynamics, which influences how they maintain their connections. They don’t require constant communication to keep a friendship alive, as they understand the bond will remain strong over time. All in all, this birth month's ability to preserve connections over time often leads to enduring relationships.

COSMIC CALLING: 4 Zodiac Signs Hit Major Relationship Shifts on April's Libra Full Moon

May

May-born individuals have a way of making friendship feel easy to settle into. Taurus brings loyalty and a steady presence, as they’re not quick to cycle people in and out of their lives; once someone matters to them, that tends to stick. With similar social buzz, those who fall under the Geministar sign keep things active through conversation, humor, and an authentic interest in what’s going on in someone else’s world. There’s usually an ease in how these friendships develop: time together feels natural, conversation flows, and there’s enough consistency to keep the connection grounded without it ever feeling stagnant. It’s the kind of dynamic that doesn’t need to be overdefined to last. This birth month is a great friend, eager not only to share playful banter and make fun memories but also to be there through thick and thin.

CURIOUS?: These 3 Birth Dates Become More Magnetic With Age

July

People born in July tend to take their friendships to heart. With sensitive Cancer at the start of the month and loyal Leo following, there’s both emotional literacy and warmth here. This birth month remembers the small things, checks in without being asked, and establishes a sense of closeness that builds naturally over time. The people in their lives matter to them, and it's apparent to all in how devotedly they show up. Even as things change, they tend to hold on to the relationships that feel important and continue to put real effort into keeping them strong. When you befriend a July-born, you often find someone who sits with your most vulnerable parts, offering healing emotional support.

RELATE?: The 4 Birth Months Who Make the Best Mothers

September

Those born in September are often the kind of friends who make life feel a little more manageable. Virgos have a natural instinct to be helpful, paired with a close attention to detail, so they tend to notice what others need without it being spelled out for them. Libra is one of the most relationship-oriented signs of the zodiac, so connection is something very meaningful to them. This birth month devotes intentional time to the people they care about, checking in and paying attention to whether things feel balanced and mutual. Their combination of thoughtfulness and investment in the connection creates a friendship that feels consistent, considered, and deeply cared for over time. September-borns are the ones you can count on.

‘Schitt’s Creek’ Star Dan Levy Shares What Gives Him ‘Great Comfort’ After the Death of Catherine O’Hara

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:39am

Schitt's Creek star and creator Dan Levy is opening up about how he's coping in the wake of Catherine O'Hara's death.

Levy, 42, played O'Hara's son David on the hit series, which followed the wealthy Rose family after they lost their fortune and were forced to seek refuge in a rural Canadian town named Schitt’s Creek. The family patriarch, video tycoon Johnny Rose (played by the legendary Eugene Levy), once purchased the town as a joke for their son David’s birthday decades prior. O’Hara earned rave reviews and legions of new fans for her role as matriarch Moira Rose, the eccentric actress known for bizarre word pronunciations and an extensive wig collection. Of course, the legendary actress was also known for roles in films like Home AloneBeetlejuiceBest in ShowWaiting for GuffmanA Mighty Wind, and After Hours.

But in a new appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Levy opened up about what gives him the greatest comfort since losing O'Hara at 71 in January.

“Listen, it’s like a collective loss, I think,” Levy shared. “She was the greatest. She’s irreplaceable. The great comfort for me has just been to see how loved she was — the outpouring. Everyone felt like they kind of knew her.”

Fallon raved about O'Hara, noting that "She could do everything. She was one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever seen. Can do characters. Gorgeous.” Levy spoke of her as “Unbelievably talented at improvising. One of the great, great, great queens.”

Levy's father, Eugene Levy, also shared a touching remembrance of O'Hara upon her passing, the Hollywood Reporter noted.

“Words seem inadequate to express the loss I feel today. I had the honor of knowing and working with the great Catherine O’Hara for over fifty years. From our beginnings on the Second City stage, to SCTV, to the movies we did with Chris Guest, to our six glorious years on Schitt’s Creek, I cherished our working relationship, but most of all our friendship. And I will miss her. My heart goes out to Bo, Matthew, Luke, and the entire O’Hara family,” he wrote.

How Did Levy's On-Screen Sister, Annie Murphy, Honor Catherine O'Hara?

Annie Murphy, 39, played O’Hara’s flighty daughter Alexis Rose on the hit series.

On Instagram, Murphy shared a sweet post that featured photos of herself and the renowned actress.

“Ha-ha-HAAAA?!?! Her laugh was a perpetual Yes, And… It challenged anyone who heard it to join in, and be as delighted as she was. Gosh, were we ever lucky to have her,” Murphy captioned the photo series. She concluded the post with a hashtag that read “goodbye to a great actress,” along with a smiling emoji wearing sunglasses.

1972 Hit Ranked Among 'Greatest Songs of All Time' Made a Triumphant Comeback Nearly 30 Years Later

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:37am

At this point in music history, it's easy to assume songs that we now consider classics were immediately popular upon their release, but some of the most famous tunes ever took a surprisingly long time to cement their status as pop culture standards.

Case in point: Elton John's timeless ballad, "Tiny Dancer." The opening track on John's 1971 album Madman Across the Water, the song was released in 1972 as a single and has become one of the iconic singer-songwriter's most beloved tracks in the years since. But as John admitted in his 2019 autobiography, Me, fans didn't catch on right away.

“People forget that when Tiny Dancer came out as a single, it flopped. It didn’t make the Top 40 in America, and the record label in Britain wouldn’t release it at all," he wrote, per Louder.

The song won over a whole new generation of fans nearly three decades later when director Cameron Crowe included it in an unforgettable scene in his 2000 rock-themed comedy/drama, Almost Famous.

"When it turned up on the soundtrack of Almost Famous, I think a lot of people had no idea what it was, or who it was by," John wrote. "In fact, that scene turned Tiny Dancer into one of my biggest songs overnight."

As Crowe explained in an interview with EltonJohn.com, he had a personal connection to "Tiny Dancer" for years before he included it in Almost Famous.

"Elton is always authentic and he's emotionally authentic to me and to all his fans, he feels like he's talking directly to you, to one person even though it can be zillions of people," Crowe said. "It's really what you dream of when you're making a movie to really speak very directly to one person and his music has always helped me do that in in films."

Crowe went on to say that John played "Tiny Dancer" at one of the first concerts he ever went to, which was also a "disastrous date" (but an "incredible" show).

"'Tiny Dancers' like wrapped up a lot in 1973 in my heart, you know, so I wrote it in the script. It was the originally the part of that scene that meant the most to me, even the soul of the movie."

The scene clearly resonated with viewers, as John recognized (and no doubt appreciated). Rolling Stone even ranked "Tiny Dancer" as one of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time," calling it "rapturous" and praising its "skyrocketing melody." And while the acclaim was somewhat belated, there's certainly something poetic about the way "Tiny Dancer" finally got the attention it deserved, via a cinematic tribute from a truly loyal fan.

Why Your Favorite A-Listers Are Pumping Their Armpits Before the Red Carpet

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:32am

Jason Beghe is tough. You’ve seen him on Chicago P.D. cracking skulls and taking names. But even the grittiest TV detectives have a secret weapon for looking sharp under those unforgiving set lights. It isn't a miracle cream or a hidden filter. It’s a rhythmic, somewhat strange-looking ritual involving their collarbones and a very specific set of hands.

Enter Danielle Gamble. She’s the woman behind the faces of Beghe and Sports Illustratedicon Hunter McGrady. When these stars need to look snatched, not "AI-filtered" snatched, but bone-structure-popping snatched, they aren't just washing their faces. They’re draining them.

The Pit Stop Before the Glow

Most people grab a jade roller and start hacking away at their cheeks like they’re carving a Thanksgivingturkey. Stop. You’re doing it wrong. Gamble’s logic is simple: you can’t move the traffic if the highway exit is blocked.

Before touching your face, you have to hit the neck and the pits. "Open the drainage pathways first. Before working on the face, it’s essential to open the lymphatic channels. Using a creamy cleanser in the shower or a neck cream, apply firm (but comfortable) pressure to massage the back of the neck, along the collarbones, and into the underarm area. This preps the system so fluid has somewhere to drain."

It’s gross but true. Your face is holding onto fluid, and that fluid needs a literal exit ramp. Rubbing your jawline without opening your collarbones is just moving gunk from one corner of the room to the other.

The Hollywood Sinus Struggle

Celebrities aren’t immune to the indignities of a seasonal cold or a pollen count. Lindsay Lohan, Busy Philipps, and Serena Williams have all been vocal about the misery of sinus pressure. When your head feels like a bowling ball and your eyes are sinking into puffiness, the sculpt becomes a necessity.

View this post on Instagram

Gamble’s fix for the sinus-heavy brow is a surgical strike on a tiny pressure point. "There’s a key pressure point at the inner brow, near the bridge of the nose. Applying gentle pressure here can help relieve sinus tension and is especially effective before beginning any eye-area drainage."

Light Hands, Hard Results

The biggest mistake is pressing too hard. Your lymph system lives just under the skin. It’s delicate. If you push like you’re trying to find a lost remote in a sofa cushion, you miss the fluid entirely. "Lymphatic massage should always be slow, rhythmic, and light: think guiding fluid, not forcing it. And find your favorite medium and use that to glide."

For the mid-face, the pros start at the nose and move out toward the ears. Then down. Always down. Move it to the neck, then the collarbones, then away.

Gamble says it works.

Because at the end of the day, McGrady won’t step in front of a camera with a puffy morning face. She’s probably spent time pumping the fluid out of her system. It’s the difference between looking tired and looking like you’ve been carved from granite.

Next time you’re in the shower, stop scrubbing. Start guiding: your jawline is under there somewhere. Go find it.

Best-Selling Author’s Novel Ranked ‘Worst Book’ of All Time on Goodreads

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:31am

Few books have been as widely read— and as widely debated— as Twilight.

The bestselling novel by Stephenie Meyer has now been ranked the "worst book of all time" on Goodreads, based on reader votes. The ranking reflects user sentiment, with readers selecting titles they felt didn’t live up to expectations, highlighting just how polarizing the novel remains.

Originally published in 2005, Twilight quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The story follows Bella Swan, a teenager who moves to a small town in Washington and falls into a complicated romance with vampire Edward Cullen. Its mix of romance, fantasy and teenage drama resonated strongly with readers, particularly young adults.

The book's success was undeniable. Twilight and its sequels have sold more than 160 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling book series in history. It helped define a generation of young adult fiction and inspired a wave of similar paranormal romance stories.

That popularity extended to the big screen with the release of Twilight, starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. The franchise went on to become a massive box office success, grossing billions worldwide and turning its stars into global celebrities.

Still, the book has long been a subject of criticism, with some readers pointing to its writing style, character dynamics and themes as reasons for its divisive reputation. Even horror heavyweight author Stephen King has had harsh words for the book series, calling them "tweenager porn," in an interview with The Guardian. "They're really not about vampires and werewolves. They're about how the love of a girl can turn a bad boy good," he continued. "I read Twilight and didn't feel any urge to go on with her."

That contrast, between overwhelming commercial success and ongoing debate, has become part of Twilight's legacy. With its latest ranking on Goodreads, the novel continues to prove that even the most successful stories can spark strong, and sometimes conflicting, reactions from readers.

This Olympic Medalist Just Welcomed Her 2nd Baby

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 10:30am

The Winter Games have wrapped, but there is still some major Olympic news. 2020 Olympic vault silver medalist gymnast MyKayla Skinner just had her second baby!

Skinner famously got a second chance at the medal after teammate Simone Biles got a case of the “twisties” and bowed out of the rest of the competition. The Olympian made headlines a few years later, ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics, when she posted a now-deleted YouTube video questioning the team's talent and work ethic (aside from phenom Simone Biles). She later removed the video and publicly apologized for her controversial comments, writing a lengthy Instagram post and wishing the gymnasts the best in Paris.

Who is MyKayla Skinner’s husband?

The Olympian married three-time American Ninja Warrior Jonas Harmer in 2019. The couple had their first child, Charlotte Jane Harmer, in September 2023. Skinner and her hubby posted a cute carousel of hospital pics on Instagram, adding the caption, “Everyone welcome Lottie! Charlotte Jane Harmer made a safe arrival yesterday afternoon! Mom & baby are happy and healthy. We couldn’t ask for more.”

View this post on Instagram

Fans got a deeper look into MyKayla’s delivery day when Jonas posted a clip of her labor on Instagram and YouTube.

What is MyKayla Skinner’s baby’s name?

This time around, the pair posted an almost identical photo of themselves holding hands and standing over a hospital bassinet. Of course, instead of Lottie, the baby announcement belongs to Skinner and Harmer’s newborn son.

The second-time parents captioned the adorable image, “Lewis Wells Harmer made his arrival & made us a party of 4. We are soaking it all in & couldn’t be happier! Welcome to the world, Lewie!” Along with the first photo, Skinner also added a pic of dad cradling little Lewis’ head, and one of big sis Lottie and her baby brother.

View this post on Instagram

Fans and friends took to Instagram to wish the family all the best. One commenter wrote, “Oh my goodness, what a perfect little boy! Congratulations!” and another gushed, “Oh my! He’s so perfect!! And how did you just have a baby? You look amazing! So happy for you guys.”

When did the Olympic medalist reveal her baby news? View this post on Instagram

Skinner posted a pregnancy test clip of herself and her hubby, Harmer, on Instagram in September 2025. The gymnast explained that she was three days late and left the cameras on as she waited for her test results. Skinner tells Harmer not to look as she holds the stick up to the camera. They hug and count to three before revealing two lines. And of course, the rest is history!

One of the smartest features is the top hanging loop. Once you arrive at your hotel or rental, you can unfold the case and hang it in a closet or on a hook. Instead of scattering jewelry across a bathroom counter, you'll have a vertical display that keeps everything visible and accessible.

There's also a top handle for easy carrying, especially helpful when transferring items between bags or heading out for a weekend getaway. Whether you're packing for a long vacation, a work trip, or even just organizing your accessories at home, this Target find doubles as both a travel essential and a smart storage solution.

If you've ever untangled a necklace five minutes before heading out the door, you already know the value of staying organized. This fold-up case proves from Target that a small, thoughtful upgrade can make a big difference in how smoothly your trip starts.
