Electronic musician DJ Moby sold his Los Feliz property in 2018, two years after purchasing it for $3.4 million and having it undergo major renovations.

The band behind “Africa,” “Rosanna,” and “Hold the Line” has announced a 2027 European tour, including seven shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland featuring special guest Todd Rundgren.

The run begins in June, with tickets going on sale this Friday, Oct. 23. The milestone marks five decades since Toto’s founding lineup first came together in Los Angeles in January 1977.

Toto’s career took off after the band formed in 1977, with its self-titled debut album arriving the following year. The group reached new heights with 1982’s Toto IV, which won several Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for “Rosanna.”

But the band’s legacy stretches well beyond its Grammy-winning era. “Africa” has now surpassed two billion plays on Spotify, while “Hold the Line” has exceeded one billion streams, according to the band’s official announcement.

That said, storyline-wise, Tony has concerns because Gibbs has been out of the game for five years living off the grid in Alaska with his dog, so he worries that his investigative skills may be a little rusty and he thinks that Gibbs needs help. But Gibbs points out that he has an advantage in that the two shooters who came to Alaska to kill him think he’s dead, and he doesn’t want to get more people involved than necessary so word that he’s alive doesn’t leak.

A Pennsylvania teenager has captured hearts online with his incredible gesture to one of his classmates.

Keny Cedanio Ramirez had been named homecoming king, but noticed that his classmate with Down syndrome, Axton Kuhl, got emotional. So, instead of accepting it himself, he immediately gave it to Kuhl so he could have the honor of being the Mahanoy Area Homecoming King.

“When I got crowned, I was honestly surprised. I did not think I was gonna win. And when I got crowned, I was happy for the moment, for, like, a couple of seconds, and then I saw him, like, start to tear up and cry, so, you know, I just did what any friend would have done, and I tried to cheer him up,” Keny said, per 6ABC.

He added that he has a brother with autism and would hope someone would show kindness to his brother in the same way he did if they were even in a similar situation. He also credited his mother with being the one who “instilled those priorities and like taught me those lessons that led me or that I chose to become, you know, the man — how the people say it — that I am today. Without her, I wouldn’t be who I am.”

The video took social media by storm, with reactions pouring in, as people praised Keny for his heartwarming act of kindness.

“Now that is a man who has empathy for others and will do well in life. What a sweet gesture he did for this young man who has down syndrome. That young man will always remember what was done for him,” one person commented.

“That young man was raised right! Kudos to him and his parents!,” another person wrote.

“This is the sweetest thing I’ve seen in my entire life,” a viewer posted.

Bob Dylan has given a beloved 1975 song a dramatic makeover, and Rolling Stone is calling the result “absolutely stunning.” The music legend recently performed “Tangled Up in Blue” live for the first time in eight years, unveiling a piano-led ballad with two rewritten verses that bring new perspective to one of his most enduring songs.

The Beatles have another reason to be considered rock royalty.

The legendary British band has claimed the No. 1 spot on Beatintel’s 100 Greatest Rock Artists of All Time list, updated in September 2026, beating out Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones for the top honor. 

The ranking places Dylan at No. 2 and The Rolling Stones at No. 3, followed by Led Zeppelin at No. 4 and Jimi Hendrix at No. 5. David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, and Nirvana round out the Top 10. 

Rather than relying on fame alone, Beatintel said its list considered artists’ influence on musicians who followed, the depth, and consistency of their recorded work, their live reputations, and the staying power of their music. The Beatles’ position reflects a legacy that extends far beyond their string of chart-topping hits.

Formed in Liverpool, England, in the early 1960s, The Beatles—John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—became a global phenomenon with songs such as “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Yesterday,” “Hey Jude,” and “Let It Be.”

Their impact went beyond hit singles. As their career progressed, they pushed into increasingly ambitious studio experimentation, incorporating unconventional sounds, orchestral arrangements and influences from different musical traditions. Albums such as Revolver and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band helped expand what rock music could sound like.

Indie-pop band MUNA had a frightening start to its week when its tour bus caught fire on a California freeway on Monday, Oct. 19. The group confirmed everyone was safe. However, the blaze destroyed many personal belongings.

The fire broke out on the southbound 5 Freeway in Burbank around 8:20 a.m., and firefighters contained it. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation, according to People.

The incident comes weeks after guitarist Naomi McPherson stepped away from the group’s fall tour to spend time with their mother, Harriet, who was suffering from terminal cancer.

In a September statement, the band said her mother’s passing was expected to coincide with the tour’s start. McPherson returned to the road on Sept. 29 following her mother’s death.

After the fire, McPherson responded to the band’s Instagram post with a darkly humorous comment about finding “the grandchild of the warlock whose curse is wreaking havoc on my life” to help undo the supposed curse. The quip offered a glimpse of their humor amid a difficult stretch.

The Los Angeles-based trio—Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and McPherson—formed in 2013 after meeting as students at the University of Southern California.

They built a following with their synth-driven pop and candid songwriting, releasing their debut album, About U, in 2017. Their 2021 single “Silk Chiffon,” featuring Phoebe Bridgers, helped bring the band to a wider audience.

While the tour bus fire put the band in the headlines for a frightening reason, the indie-pop trio has spent years building connections with some of music’s biggest names.

In 2017, the group landed a major touring opportunity when Harry Styles selected them as an opening act for his first solo tour. Six years later, they reached an even larger audience as one of the acts chosen to open select dates on Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour.

The group also has a notable connection to singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, who signed the trio to her Saddest Factory Records imprint in 2021 after they parted ways with RCA Records. Bridgers also features on the group’s fan-favorite single “Silk Chiffon,” helping introduce its music to an even wider audience.

Those associations helped raise the group’s profile, but the trio has continued to build its own identity through candid songwriting and synth-driven pop. Its latest album, Dancing on the Wall, arrived in May 2026, and the band is currently on its Gets So Hot Tour.

Despite the frightening incident, the tour is scheduled to continue, with the band’s next performance set for Oct. 21 at Red Rocks in Colorado, according to Pitchfork.

For now, the group’s most important update is reassuring: Everyone made it out safely, even as the band deals with lost personal belongings and a difficult time offstage.

Val Chmerkovskiy sat out Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday, Oct. 20. He still had something to say about the man who took his spot.

Hours before Dedication Night, Alan Bersten posted photos of himself with Val’s celebrity partner, Jenna Dewan, on Instagram.

“I am so honored to be stepping in and dancing with @jennadewan you are such a light and it’s so beautiful to see you and your mom share the floor,” Bersten, 32, wrote.

Val, 40, showed up in the comments before the show.

“Thank you for stepping in and doing such an amazing job,” he wrote. “Jenna looks so good and most importantly happy.”

Then he called Bersten his “new favorite follow,” with a winking emoji. The comment has more than 18,000 likes, and fans under Bersten’s post tagged their friends to make sure they’d seen it.

Not everyone loved the swap. Bersten and Giada De Laurentiis were eliminated back on Sept. 22, and some viewers wanted to know why he got the spot. His girlfriend and fellow pro, Emma Slater, had an answer.

“We all step in for each other,” she wrote.

Dewan, 45, dedicated her Viennese waltz to her mom, Nancy, who joined her and Bersten on the floor. The song was the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody.”

Derek Hough gave it a 9. So did Bruno Tonioli and guest judge Kym Johnson.

Carrie Ann Inaba, 58, the judge at the center of Val’s suspension, gave it a 10.

That put Dewan and Bersten at 37 out of 40, tied with Ezra Frech and his partner for the second-best score of the night. Only Amber Glenn and her partner scored higher, with a 38.

It started on Oct. 13, when Inaba called out a lift in the samba Val’s wife, fellow pro Jenna Johnson, danced with Harry Shum Jr. Lifts aren’t allowed in that dance.

After the show, Val posted a TikTok he later deleted: “You almost saw Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night.” The line seemed to point to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, and plenty of viewers read it as a threat toward Inaba.

He apologized to Inaba on Oct. 15. Two days later, BBC Studios, which produces the show, said his post “was inappropriate and does not reflect the values or standards expected of anyone connected with the show,” and that he’d miss the next episode.

Val addressed the suspension that same day on his Instagram Story.

“In a moment where my instinct was to defend my wife, I made a poor decision to reference a meme to ‘keep my wife’s name’ out of the conversation, without stopping to think through what else that reference could imply, which was genuinely never my intention,” he wrote.

He signed off by telling fans he’d be “watching and cheering everyone on.”

Nobody went home on Dedication Night. The votes carry over to next week, when two couples will be eliminated.

In 1962, a 24-year-old aspiring actor recorded a novelty song that four record labels reportedly rejected. Then a radio station played it, listeners loved it and the song became a No. 1 hit just in time for Halloween.

But not everyone was amused by Bobby “Boris” Pickett’s “Monster Mash.”

BBC Radio banned the song from its airwaves for being “too morbid,” according to History. That didn’t stop “Monster Mash” from becoming one of the most enduring Halloween songs ever recorded.

On Oct. 20, 1962, exactly 64 years ago today, “Monster Mash” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, knocking the Four Seasons’ “Sherry” out of the top spot. It remained there for two weeks, carrying it right through the heart of Halloween season.

The unlikely hit had its roots in Pickett’s other great ambition: acting.

Pickett was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, in 1938. His father managed a local movie theater, giving the future singer plenty of opportunities to watch movies. He became particularly fond of horror star Boris Karloff and learned to imitate his voice, according to music historian Fred Bronson’s “Billboard Book of Number One Hits.”

After spending three years in Korea with the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Pickett moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career. He also reunited with four high school friends and joined their singing group, the Cordials.

During one performance of the Diamonds’ “Little Darlin’,” Pickett delivered part of the song in his Karloff voice. His bandmate Leonard Capizzi thought the impression was funny enough to build a song around and suggested they write something about a monster performing one of the popular dances of the day.

Pickett wasn’t interested. He wanted to be an actor.

Then his fortunes took a bizarre turn. After searching for an agent for a year, Pickett finally signed with one. Just two weeks later, the agent died of a heart attack. With his acting plans suddenly stalled, Pickett called Capizzi. The two got together on a Saturday afternoon and wrote “Monster Mash.”

The song riffed on the Mashed Potato dance craze, with Pickett performing his Karloff impression as he told the story of a monster who rises from his slab and starts a new dance. Pickett also worked impressions of Bela Lugosi and Peter Lorre into the recording.

Even the spooky sound effects were decidedly low-tech. The sound of a coffin opening was created by pulling a rusty nail from a board, while bubbling water through a straw produced the cauldron sound and chains dropped onto a tile floor supplied the rattling chains.

Pickett and Capizzi recorded the song with producer Gary S. Paxton, but getting it released was another matter. History reports that a producer took the record to four labels and all four turned it down. After a radio station began playing it and listeners responded, Pickett finally landed a record deal.

Pickett apparently had no idea what he had unleashed. Bronson wrote that the singer considered “Monster Mash” a clever novelty song and never imagined it would sell more than a million copies.

Its first trip to the top was hardly the end of the story. “Monster Mash” returned to the Hot 100 in 1970 and again in 1973, when it climbed all the way to No. 10. Decades later, it returned yet again, making the Hot 100 in 2021.

Pickett also tried to recapture some of the monster magic with follow-up songs, including the Christmas-themed “Monster’s Holiday,” which reached No. 30 in 1962.

But nothing could quite kill the original “Monster Mash.” Even a BBC ban for being “too morbid” couldn’t keep Pickett’s graveyard smash buried.

It was ‘Dedication Night’ on Dancing with the Stars, which means lots of family members are in the ballroom. For Tyler Cameron that was his fiancée Tate Madden, who took part in his dance with professional partner Sharna Burness.

The trio performed a contemporary to “Supermarket Flowers” by Ed Sheeran as Tyler dedicated his dance to mothers everywhere, and he had an excellent reason for doing so.

Tyler and Tate are expecting their first child together, and they revealed that fact, plus the baby’s gender on DWTS. In fact, they were surprised by host Arsenio Hall as to the gender.

When pink confetti streamed into the ballroom, The Bachelorette alum, 33,  said, “I get to be a girl dad. What a gift, what an opportunity.”

Judge Bruno Tonioli told the happy couple, “What you did was you turned [your dance] into a celebration of a new life.”

And Derek Hough, who recently became a first-time father, was struck by the dance as well. He told Tyler, “That moment where you held [Tate’s] belly up to the sky, sent me.”

And Carrie Ann Inaba said, “What I am noticing is the way you’ve opened your expression and your heart.”

In the video package prior to their dance, Tyler spoke to his late mother Andrea, who died in 2020 at the age of 55 following a brain aneurysm.

“You would’ve loved the woman I’m gonna marry. All the things that made you special, I found in her. She’s going to be the most incredible mama, just like you. And we’re going to have a baby. I can’t believe I’m going to be a dad. Wish you were here, hope that I make you proud. I love you and I miss you every day.”

The couple met in 2022 when Tyler filmed his home renovation show, Going Home with Tyler Cameron, on which Tate worked as a photographer.

A yellow 1975 Chevrolet Vega came out of a concrete vault in Seward, Nebraska, in 2025 with some rust spots on the hood and a license plate that read “2025,” The Drive reported. The car had been buried under a plastic tarp.

Harold Davisson sealed the 45-ton vault on July 4, 1975, with instructions to open it 50 years later, per the same article. The Drive says the capsule was the world’s largest when it was sealed and still is, according to Guinness World Records.

Davisson feared he would not live to see his four grandchildren, and they might never know him, his daughter, Trish Davisson Johnson, told KLKN-TV. He approached builder Dick O’Dell with a pencil sketch and asked, “Can you build the world’s largest time capsule?” according to O’Dell’s widow, Karen.

Davisson added a pyramid on top of the vault in 1983, and it held a beat-up Toyota Corolla, The Drive reports. Crews emptied it in 2024 as a trial run, and Johnson said six people spent four to five hours hauling out “all that cruddy stuff,” per KLKN-TV.

Opening the vault itself took three days, according to Today. It came open on June 26, 2025, The Drive reported, after the city hired a larger firm with a bigger drill, per KLKN-TV.

The vault held more than 5,000 items from about 3,000 people, Today reported, including pet rocks, a teal suit described as “very, very much 1975” and a Kawasaki motorcycle. Many of the letters survived, but their envelopes did not, so some owners are unknown, KLKN-TV said.

The capsule opened to the public on July 4, 2025, and some letters were handed out that day, with more displayed on racks inside the House of Davisson so residents could look for letters meant for them, Nebraska Public Media reported. The city planned to tune up the Vega and drive it in a Fourth of July parade, The Drive said, and Johnson hoped to return all the items to their owners within six months. The poster for Seward’s 2026 Fourth of July celebration lists a time capsule talk by Johnson at the House of Davisson, but it does not mention the Vega, and neither outcome could be independently confirmed.
