After months of avid fan anticipation, Peacock has at long last released the first official trailer for their upcoming streaming series, Crystal Lake.

A direct sequel to the iconic horror franchise Friday the 13th, Crystal Lake specifically follows Linda Cardellini's grieving single mother Pamela Voorhees as she reckons with the consequences of her son's accidental death at the idyllic summer camp, Crystal Lake.

The new trailer gives fans a first glimpse at the larger world of Friday the 13th's newest expansion, focusing on Cardellini's Pamela mourning the drowning death of young Jason while a new group of teens are menaced by an unseen killer.

The second and most recent TV adaptation of Friday the 13th following 1987's Friday the 13th: The Series, Crystal Lake is currently set to premiere on Peacock on October 15.

Produced by A24, it will act as a direct tie-in to the overall continuity of the Friday the 13th series, fleshing out serial killing duo Pamela and Jason Voorhees' origin story in an eight-episode first season.

The series will be overseen by IT: Welcome to Derry writer and producer Brad Caleb Kane, with William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom filling out the remainder of the show's cast list.

Among the longest-running and most commercially successful horror franchises of all time, Friday the 13th spans 12 different movies dating back to 1980.

In the decades that followed, several less-than-well-receives sequels and spinoffs have made their way into the series, including 2003's Freddy vs. Jason crossover with the Nightmare on Elm Street.

The most recent entry in the franchise remains 2009's negatively received Friday the 13th reboot, which as yet has failed to gain a sequel. Over the past few years, multiple attempts have been made to produce a remake or sequel tying into the original canon or its later reboot, although they've all failed to expand into pre-production.

Fifty-one years ago today, the beloved soft-rock duo Captain & Tennille topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with their legendary hit "Love Will Keep Us Together."

Released in April 1975 as the title track and lead single from their debut studio album, "Love Will Keep Us Together" became a global sensation. Less than a month after its release, the track entered the Hot 100. By June 21, the single had peaked at No. 1, holding the spot for four consecutive weeks—a staggering feat for a debut release.

"Love Will Keep Us Together" didn't just dominate the charts; it also secured significant industry recognition. During the following awards season, the track won Record of the Year at the 18th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, alongside a nomination for Song of the Year.

Captain & Tennille's smash hit was named the top-selling song of the year. Down the line, the track was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for moving over 2.5 million units in the U.S. alone.

"Love Will Keep Us Together" was originally written by the songwriting duo Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield. The pair released their own version in 1973 before Captain & Tennille launched it into mainstream success with their pop-rock cover.

Thirty years after the track topped the charts, it was featured in the 2005 romantic comedy jukebox musical Breaking Up Is Hard to Do. The single was used during the first act of the show, acting as a turning point in the story and providing a sharp contrast to the musical's early heartbreak.

The song explores themes of unwavering commitment and looking past physical appearance, all of which play beautifully into the theatrical plot and give the stage characters a newfound sense of optimism.

Over five decades after its release, "Love Will Keep Us Together" remains a mainstream '70s staple. On Spotify alone, the track has accumulated over 130 million streams, proving that the duo's signature feel-good sound continues to resonate with modern listeners.

Pink’s 2017 release "What About Us" was born out of the singer’s frustration during a politically charged moment marked by uncertainty and a call for accountability. Nearly a decade later, "What About Us" remains one of Pink’s signature hits, surpassing one billion streams on Spotify, a milestone that reflects how the song has evolved into something much bigger and more resonant than its original message.

A magnitude-4.3 earthquake impacted Kern County on the morning of Monday, July 13.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was reported at 9:40 a.m. PST about 11 miles southwest of Johannesburg. It was north of Edwards Air Force Base.

Multiple residents in Kern, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties reported feeling the ground shake, with it specifically being felt in cities such as Moorpark, Santa Clarita, Crestline, and San Bernardino.

No injuries or damages have been reported at the time of publishing.

This comes after there was a 4.2 magnitude earthquake was reported at 3:38 a.m on Sunday, July 12.

Experts Warn of 'The Big One'

A study published on June 3 found that "earthquake stress has reached its highest levels in at least 1,000 years along the San Andreas and San Jacinto faults."

And while they say that a major earthquake isn't necessarily imminent, it shows that Southern California has the potential for a powerful earthquake at some point.

"We have been lucky in California not to experience a large urban earthquake since 1994 on Northridge," Ahmed Elbanna, director of the Statewide California Earthquake Center and professor of earth sciences and engineering at the University of Southern California, told The Sacramento Bee.

"In order to release the stresses, the stress levels that we are talking about in this study, we need a magnitude 7 or larger earthquake," Elbanna added. "“The authors themselves, and the community, do not find the findings of the study surprising,”

Comedian Kathy Griffin recently shared some insight into her (and Rosie O’Donnell’s) history withDonald Trump. While speaking about O’Donnell’s return to the U.S. on her ‘Talk Your Head Off’ podcast, the actress revealed some pretty interesting facts about Trump in the pre-presidential days. But that’s not all!

As Griffin notes, O’Donnell’s feud with Trump goes back years. Back in 2006, she mocked the future commander-in-chief, sparking a decades-long divide. Griffin explains, “Because you know, a lot of people know my experience with my political scandal with uh, the current president Donald Trump. But I always say, well, Rosie was really the first. If you’re going to talk about female comedians that went for Trump. Rosie on The View, going after him, in a way that was fearless, in a way that my beloved Baraba Walters did not love.”

And just in case you forgot, in 2017 Griffin posed for a photo shoot holding a severed, bloody Trump head, causing a major backlash that resulted in her basically being canceled. Of course, she made a comeback. But before this scandal, Griffin was actually kind of chummy with Trump. How could that possibly be? 

Griffin dished, “O’Donnell and I knew Donald. We called him Donald. He likes to be called The Donald. I know that sounds weird that Rosie and I knew Donald, but it’s true.” She then detailed how Rosie has flown on Trump’s plane and added, “I’ve been to Bedminster with Donald where he hired me to roast him for a charity event…It’s just crazy to think there was a time when The Donald really wanted to mix it up with folks like Rosie and me.”

The actress goes on to say, “I’m not going to stick up for the guy, but there was a time in the ‘90s when he was so ubiquitous that I would walk into a room, see Donald and think like, ‘Oh, of course he’s here.’ So it’s not like I had this great relationship with him. But it was cordial.” 

How things have changed since the ‘90s. “When Rosie and I get together, we do laugh a lot about how there was The Donald, and now there’s a fascist dictator named Donald also. And I’m not saying he’s a different person. He obviously was this person all along, Griffin said, adding that this was a time before he did things like “falling asleep during press conferences.”

Now that her friend Rosie is back in the U.S. (O’Donnell now famously moved to Ireland following Trump’s reelection), Griffin said, “She’s back on the map. She’s everywhere again. And in the best way, because I think Americans at least, but I know her international audiences, really recognize that, like someone else in this room (Griffin motions to herself), was really put through the mill by Donald, of all people.” 

And what does Griffin think of The Donald now? Well, it seems like The Donald is okay in her book. But as for President Donald Trump, Griffin has this to say: “He’s what I call aggressively stupid. He’s not just stupid in a way that is self-effacing or shows any intellectual curiosity. He’s aggressively stupid.” Well, it doesn’t look like she’s getting an invite back to Bedminster anytime soon.

Being a rockstar comes with its undeniable image that involves crazy nights, sex partners, drugs, and plenty more. In a Rolling Stones biography by Bob Spitz, he reveals which rocker from the band had the highest sex partner count, and who surprisingly didn't.

The rock era of the 1960's and '70s was dominated by the shock factor that came with musicians like the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Back Sabbath, AC/DC, and plenty more. Every member of the band became quintessential sex gods of their time. The chaos on stage also translated to behind-the-scenes and their daily lives.

In The Rolling Stones: The Biography, Spitz explains that the band was well known for their offstage behavior, and it also led to quite a tally of sex partners. While many of the band members' escapades were known, not all of them became public.

Spitz told Fox News Digital that Bill Wyman, Keith Richards, and Mick Jaggerhad gotten together at some point when they were much older to count how many women they had been with. It led to a "shocking number," but also revealed the biggest bad boy of the band wasn't the womanizer fans thought.

“Bill stopped counting at about 1,800,” Spitz claimed. “He had kept a journal with the name of every woman he had spent the night with. Mick thought his total was in the hundreds. Keith counted four on his fingers. So, when you look at them as a promiscuous band, you have to put things into perspective. Keith, who was the baddest of bad boys, turned out to be the most romantic of the Stones.”

Throughout their career, Richards was tied to roughly four key women. One of them was Anita Pallenberg from 1967 to 1980, and it became one of the most defining relationships in the rock scene. They would have three children together before breaking up. Richards then met Patti Hansen, who would become his future wife. He was also with Linda Keith and Maggie Abbott in the early '60s, and Sydonie O'Shea in the early '70s.

Compared to Keither, Spitz described Wyman as the band's "unrivaled p—hound," and how the rocker "had a saying in the band that he couldn’t go to sleep alone. Every night, he scouted the most beautiful young women standing closest to the stage. He would point out one or two, and one of the roadies would invite them backstage."

Wyman's escapes would cause controversy as he entered the band married, but let loose, and married his second wife, Mandy Smith, when she was 18. By the time the band became infamous, romantic boundaries were nonexistent, even with Jagger's relationships with Marianne Faithfull and Marsha Hunt.

“That was going to be their image. They weren’t going to bow at the end of every song. They weren’t going to wear suits onstage. Politeness was out the window. They were going to behave the way teenagers and young men in their early 20s behaved. That meant going their own way, being a little insolent and being arrogant. They dressed in their street clothes. They smoked onstage. They were the bad boys, and they liked being the bad boys," said Spitz.

Sometimes rock stars are going to geek out just like we do, and with an event as big as this one, it makes sense someone like Paul McCartney would have to see it. Of course, I'm talking about Bon Jovi's return to the stage after lead singer Jon Bon Jovi's massive vocal surgery.

The band haven't been active since 2022, when Bon Jovi needed to undergo a major vocal surgery after his voice was beginning to decay. The recent set of shows at Madison Square Garden have been the band's first shows in a long time, and fans have been absolutely delighted.

As it turns out, "fans" includes former Beatle Paul McCartney, who was spotted in attendance at one of the recent Bon Jovi shows in New York.

At some Taco Bell locations, customers may notice a few familiar toppings missing from their favorite menu items. Several restaurants have temporarily stopped serving certain fresh ingredients as health officials investigate a growing outbreak of cyclosporiasis, an intestinal illness caused by the parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis.

The outbreak has spread across multiple states, with officials investigating hundreds of confirmed cases and hospitalizations. While contaminated fresh produce is considered a possible source, health officials have not identified a specific food item, supplier or Taco Bell location as the cause of the illnesses.

Taco Bell Locations Are Removing Popular Fresh Toppings

Some Taco Bell restaurants have temporarily pulled fresh ingredients, including:

• Lettuce
• Pico de gallo
• Guacamole
• Cilantro-onion blend

Signs posted at some locations state that the ingredients are unavailable due to a nationwide recall, and affected menu items are being served without those toppings. Reports of missing ingredients have been especially noted at some locations in Michigan and surrounding areas, though Taco Bell has not released a complete list of affected restaurants.

The timing comes as health officials track a nationwide rise in cyclosporiasis cases. The parasite is often associated with contaminated raw produce or water and can spread when microscopic amounts of feces contaminate food during growing, harvesting or processing.

What to Know About the Cyclospora Outbreak and Symptoms

Cyclosporiasis can cause uncomfortable digestive symptoms that may appear about a week after someone consumes contaminated food or water. According to health officials, symptoms can include:

• Frequent, watery diarrhea that can sometimes be severe
• Stomach cramps, bloating and gas
• Nausea and loss of appetite
• Fatigue and body aches
• Occasional low-grade fever

Unlike many short-lived stomach bugs, cyclosporiasis symptoms can last for weeks or return after appearing to improve if the infection is not treated. Severe cases may require medical care, and doctors can diagnose the illness with a stool test and prescribe medication when needed.

To reduce the risk of foodborne illness, health officials recommend washing fresh produce thoroughly under running water, keeping preparation surfaces clean and cooking produce when possible. Washing can help remove contaminants, though it may not eliminate all risk from cyclospora parasites.

For now, Taco Bell customers may want to check their local restaurant before ordering if they typically add fresh toppings to their meals. The investigation into the broader outbreak remains ongoing.

"What's your favorite scary movie?" is just one iconic line from Scream, now celebrating a 30-year milestone.

Its director, Wes Craven, helmed a number of other horror classics, including A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). And now, Paramount Pictures has closed a deal for the U.S. rights to his screenplay that kicked off the franchise about the infamous Freddy Krueger (portrayed by Robert Englund).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new Nightmare on Elm Street will hail from Paramount’s new genre label, Paramount Primal, led by the producers of recent hits such as Barbarian and Friendship. The U.S. rights are reportedly being licensed from the Craven estate, which includes Craven’s widow Iya Labunka and Craven’s son Jonathan Craven.

“We look forward to bringing the world of Wes Craven’s Nightmare on Elm Street to a new and completely engaged generation of fans,” said Labunka in a statement. “We know that Wes would have been thrilled to see how horror is taking its long overdue place in the cultural canon. We can’t wait for all of us to sit together in a dark theatre – around the campfire of today – as the next chapter of the Nightmare story unfolds.”

New Line Cinema, and later corporate owner Warner Bros. previously held all the rights to Nightmare on Elm Street as the company made the original movie in 1984. Back in the '80s, the original launched a lucrative franchise for New Line Cinema, which was just an independent film company at the time and thus earned the nickname “the house that Freddy built," THR also noted on Monday, July 13.

As fans well know, the numerous installments center on Krueger, a child killer who was burned alive by parents but later returns in victims' dreams. No details on the upcoming movie have been revealed, but THR says it's been described as being “set in the world of A Nightmare on Elm Street, based on the original screenplay.”

The American Heart Association recommends getting at least 150 minutes of moderate (conversational pace) or 75 minutes of vigorous (barely able to talk) intensity aerobic exercise weekly. Oh, and don't forget to add the two strength-training sessions per week. If you're busy, you may wonder where you're supposed to find the time for all of that. Some moves offer a two-for-one special, combining cardio and strength. The burpee is one of those moves.

"A standard burpee starts by squatting down, placing your hands on the floor and kicking your feet back into a plank position," Denise Chakoian, a certified fitness trainer and the owner of Core Cycle and LaGree Fitness, tells Parade. "You then return your feet to the squat position and finish with a jump upward. Because several movements are combined, burpees work multiple muscle groups at the same time."

Burpees are a staple in HIIT fitness classes, but Chakoian loves that they don't require any equipment. You can do them on the hotel floor while on vacation (well, preferably only if you're on the first floor) or at a park. Plus, she says it's possible to modify burpees, so they're accessible to people at any fitness level.

That said, just because you can do a burpee every day doesn't mean that you should. What happens to your body when you do burpees every day, though? Fitness professionals say you may experience both quick and long-term gains, as well as pain. Here's what to know about doing burpees every day, including the ideal form.

What Happens to Your Body When You Do Burpees Every Day

Doing burpees daily has short and long-term pros and cons. "Burpees raise your heart rate quickly, making them an effective cardiovascular exercise," Chakoian says. "They also strengthen the legs, core, chest, shoulders and arms all at once."

The more consistent you are with burpees, the more likely you are to see improvements in your cardiovascular fitness and functional strength (and muscle size and definition). However, Dr. Chris Mohr, Ph.D., RD, a fitness and nutrition advisor for Garage Gym Reviews, says you may start to notice improvements within days to a couple of weeks of doing burpees every day.

"In a single session, burpees challenge your heart and lungs," he tells Parade. "Within a few weeks, you may notice you don’t get winded as quickly."

Dr. Mohr notes that when your cardiovascular fitness is better, you can walk uphill, carry groceries, play with your kids and climb stairs more easily. Burpees are also a calorie-scorcher.

"They involve many muscles and elevate your heart rate," he explains. "Over time, consistent calorie expenditure can support weight management when paired with balanced nutrition and adequate recovery."

Consistency is key, but you have to start somewhere. A couple of days in a row of burpees may give you the fuel you need to keep going because Dr. Mohr says it fosters a sense of accomplishment.

As you continue to check "burpees" off your to-do list every day for several months or more, you may notice even bigger benefits.

"Regular burpee training can improve overall fitness and endurance, helping people stay active and independent as they age," Chakoian explains. "Maintaining a consistent exercise routine can support weight management and contribute to better long-term health."

That said, doing burpees every day isn't always the best idea. She warns that you may experience soreness at first, and it can make daily tasks and other workouts more difficult. Chakoian says not taking a recovery day here or there can lead to overuse discomfort in the hands, wrists, shoulders, knees and lower back. Your body should adapt to the movement, and the soreness should taper. But sometimes it lingers or gets so bad that your body forces you to take some time off from burpees and all exercise.

"Performing the same high-impact movement for years may increase the risk of chronic joint irritation or overuse injuries," Chakoian says. "Lack of exercise variety can create muscle imbalances and limit overall fitness development."

How To Start Doing Burpees

Dr. Mohr says burpee newbies should focus on quality over quantity and progress from there. He offered a sample plan to up your burpee game within a month.

During the first two weeks, he suggests learning the movement. Instead of doing burpees daily, he recommends doing them two to three days per week. Sessions should involve two to three sets of five modified burpees (nix the jumping and step back to the plank position instead) with 60 to 90 seconds of rest in between sets.

You'll work on increasing volume during the third and fourth weeks, and he suggests doing three to four sets of five to 10 burpees. You can begin adding a small jump if you're comfortable, and increase your speed as you maintain control.

"Once standard burpees feel comfortable, you can try more progressions," he says.

What does "comfortable" mean with burpees, though? Dr. Mohr recommends waiting to progress your burpees until:

• You can maintain good form with your current workout
• You don’t have lingering joint pain
• Your reps look consistent from start to finish

If you check all of those boxes, some of his favorite burpee progressions include:

• Adding a push-up at the bottom
• Adding a tuck jump at the top
• Increasing reps, such as doing 20 to 30 burpees total
• Doing burpees as an interval workout (30 seconds of work with 30 seconds of rest)

Some people shouldn't do burpees at all. "People with knee, shoulder, wrist or back injuries may need modifications or should avoid them altogether," Chakoian says. "Those with certain heart conditions should talk with a healthcare provider before doing high-intensity exercises like burpees."

The Ideal Burpee Form, According to Fitness Professionals

If you're going to do burpees every day (or consistently), you'll want to maintain good form to get the best results and avoid injuries. "Start by squatting down and placing your hands on the floor with your feet about shoulder-width apart," Chakoian advises. "Kick or step your feet back into a plank while keeping your core engaged and your back flat."

From there, you'll want to bring your feet back underneath you and stand up with control before finishing with a small jump (optional).

"Focus on smooth movements and good posture rather than rushing through the exercise," Chakoian stresses. "Older adults, beginners or individuals with balance problems may benefit from starting with slower or lower-impact versions...It is perfectly fine to step back instead of jumping at first."

No Costco trip is complete without a stop at the food court, and now, there’s a new menu item getting plenty of attention.

Months after a testing phase, Costco has officially rolled out its latest entrée nationwide.

After a long day of shopping, customers can now grab chicken strips on their way out of the warehouse.

The new item appears to have passed with flying colors, joining fan favorites like pizza slices, frozen yogurt, hot dogs and ice cream cones.

Instagrammer Costco Savvy said there was "no way" she "was leaving without trying them," telling her followers that each order comes with 5 crispy chicken breast tenders that are served with a dipping sauce.

"They're crispy on the outside and definitely filling," she noted of the $6.99 meal that's equally as perfect for adults on-the-go as it is for the littles, as one noted, "Ooo this is a great option for my kids! I’m surprised they’ve only started offering these."

The reception was overwhelmingly positive, but of course, Costco wasn't going to roll it out to the masses until it was perfect.

"They’re honestly really good!!! I was skeptical at first - but they have a lot of flavor. Amazing price for what you get too!" one commented.

"I thought they were delish," someone echoed, as another chimed in, "We just got these today and they were honestly pretty good."

Shoppers were also impressed with the size of the golden tenders, emphasizing that everything is bigger at Costco.

"Those chicken tenders look huge lol," someone wrote, with the account noting it was "enough for everyone."

Another influencer, TastesLovely, also commented that the "strips are BIG," and despite waiting 20 minutes for her order (the demand is clearly there as she noted everyone was ordering them), she left pleased, noting, "thick and meaty, light breading, great seasoning."

The dipping sauce is also very generous, with TastesLovely noting it is 'VERY good' and tastes like Chick-fil-A sauce.

"Solid high protein, budget-friendly addition on the menu," she summed it up.

Nothing beats a track that can instantly get your toes tapping and shoulders moving, and even nearly four decades later, The Whispers' "Rock Steady" accomplishes just that.

The track, written by Babyface in just 24 hours—and effectively kicking off his and L.A. Reid's production careers—was officially released as a single on June 13, 1987, as the lead song on the group's 18th platinum-selling studio album, Just Gets Better With Time. It became a smash record and remains The Whispers' only Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 7.

Upon its release, the groovy funk-infused track soared to the No. 1 spot on the Hot R&B chart and became one of the biggest pop crossover hits of the decade.

But it almost went differently. The Whispers initially wanted to pass on the song as the lead single, favoring another Babyface record, "In the Mood," but according to reports, the label insisted they release "Rock Steady" instead (which got its name from a Rok Steady keyboard stand housed in the young up-and-coming producer's apartment at the time).

In an interview clip, founding member Wallace Scott, 82, provided the "incredible" story of how the song officially came to be. "We were in the studio one night, and we said to both of them, man, we need the follow-up to 'And the Beat Goes On,'" he recalled. The response surprised them when they were told to come back the very next day, and a new song would be waiting for them.

"Lo and behold, when they came back to the studio, they had 'Rock Steady'—24 hours later. We said, 'Wait a minute. This can't be real,'" Scott continued.

Fans hopped into the comments section of the video, shared via Instagram, to praise the group's enduring, timeless classics. "The Whispers got them Cookout and Block Party classics! 🙏🏾" one exclaimed, while another said, "The whispers got hitsss on hitssss in their discovery. im not sure why is rock steady is their only top 10 song. They fire😩 🔥."

"The Whispers don’t get enough respect for how fire they were. To this day I still put people onto their music 💪🏾," a third added.

The soul-R&B vocal group, comprising original members Wallace and his twin brother Walter Scott (who died in 2025), Nicholas Caldwell, Marcus Hutson, and Gordy Harmon, is also known for such massive hits as "And the Beat Goes On," "Lady," "It's a Love Thing," "Just Gets Better With Time," "Keep On Lovin' Me," and many more.

Dylan Sprayberry became notably known for his role in the MTV supernatural series, Teen Wolf, and is now opening up about how Scientology helped him during his substance abuse journey.

The 28-year-old actor posted a video on Instagram on Sunday, July 13, talking about his experience getting off drugs and coming clean to fans that he is now a Scientologist.

“Lately I’ve been posting some really cool informational videos from the Scientology Instagram account and the Scientology-affiliated accounts on my Instagram Story and there have been some people who have been curious,” Sprayberry said in a video. “I am a Scientologist. I’ve been a Scientologist for three years now and it’s been an epic experience for me and it’s been so fantastic.”

Sprayberry adds that he was originally introduced to the Church of Scientology after having gotten "clean and sober" off drugs five years ago. The actor explains he got on drugs when he was a teen due to a "ton of anxiety and depression." After getting clean, Sprayberry still felt something was missing.

“I was having this feeling where it’s like, ‘OK I’m sober now I’m really proud of myself. I do feel the difference of being off drugs,’” he recalled. “But I started to think back on my life and the decisions that I’ve made.”

He adds that he had "numbed" himself for 10 years and has to confront it. When introduced to Scientology, he explained, "The first thing that you do as a Scientologist — when you start doing your services — is something called the purification rundown," and called it a form of detox to get rid of the toxins for good.

The Teen Wolf star says L. Ron Hubbard’s book The Way to Happiness has been a "huge realization" on creating happiness for himself. He adds that he's "doing great" as he's also expecting his first child with his wife, Pruette Karl.

Fans on Instagram had mixed feelings about the actor's news. While many applaud him for finding his way and getting clean, they are also wary of him choosing Scientology after years of reported scandals in Hollywood.

"Real talk. Takes a lot of guts to be this honest about addiction and mental health. Mad respect for the 5 years clean!," said another.

"Sorry Brother, I'm not unfollowing or nothing, but Scientology is not the way. But I am grateful for you that it helped you out of addiction. But Christ is the only way to a better way, in my personal conclusion," said one fan.

Sprayberry rose to fame as young Clark Kent in the 2013 blockbuster Man of Steel. He became a fan favorite as the character Liam Dunbar in Teen Wolf from 2014 until 2017. His last on-screen role was in 2023's Baby Blue and Teen Wolf: The Movie.

Pigface not only redefined what a traditional band could be but also added a major milestone to its legacy after being recognized as one of the greatest supergroups in rock history.

Revolver magazine highlighted 12 bands that embody the true concept of a supergroup. Composed of highly influential musicians and acclaimed solo artists, these acts have left an undeniable mark on the world of rock and metal.

With Pigface making the rankings, the band became known for its intense live performances and ever-changing lineup.

Introduced as a "revolving door collective," meaning the band had no fixed lineup and musicians could join or leave the project, the band was formed in 1990 by founders Martin Atkins of post punk legend Public Image Ltd (PiL) and William Rieflin of The Blackouts, both of whom were members of Ministry."

Created to break away from traditional band structures during The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste tour, the duo wanted to unite experimental musicians in a collaborative project free from the limitations of a conventional band.

Throughout the band's career, Pigface released six main studio albums along with several live and remix albums.

For its debut studio album, Gub, released in 1991, the lineup featured founders Atkins and Rieflin alongside fellow Ministry member Paul Barker. Additional contributors included William Tucker of My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Steve Albini, who served as the album's recording engineer.

As for the vocalists, Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor joined for the song "Suck," Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy appeared on the opening track "Tapeworm," En Esch of KMFDM performed on the German language track "War Ich Nicht," David Yow of The Jesus Lizard appeared on "The Bushmaster," while Chris Connelly contributed to multiple tracks.

For its subsequent albums and collaborative recordings, Pigface brought together more than 10 musicians at a time, ultimately featuring over 100 contributing artists such as Trent Reznor, Jello Biafra of Dead Kennedys, Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Danny Carey of Tool and many more.

According to Atkins, the band's unconventional setup wasn't driven by a secret formula. Instead, everyone embraced improvisation and unpredictability because they believed spontaneity made the project more creative and enjoyable.

“I think we’re pretty good at this now,” he told Now Toronto, adding, “In early Pigface we questioned everything, and one of the things we questioned was rehearsing. The formula at first was that there was no formula, so we just got on a bus and the first 10 shows we did, opening for the Butthole Surfers, we didn’t know what we were doing, and we thought that was fun.”

After a series of on-again and off-again activities, the supergroup launched its first full-scale U.S. tour in 2019 for its first full-scale U.S. tour in 14 years.

Written by Mick Jaggerand Keith Richards as part of their Jagger-Richards songwriting partnership, though largely written solely by Jagger, "Sympathy for the Devil" was recorded by The Rolling Stones as the opening track for their 1968 album, Beggars Banquet.

Jagger drew inspiration from many sources to sing as "the devil" boasting about his role in numerous tragedies throughout history. Some of the atrocities listed in the lyrics of the over 6-minute song are the trial and crucifixion of Christ, the Hundred Years War, the execution of the Romanov family, and the assassinations of both JFK Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy. In an interview about the songwriting, Jagger said:

"It's a very long historical figure – the figures of evil and figures of good – so it is a tremendously long trail he's made as personified in this piece."

The Rolling Stones were already familiar with controversy before the release of Beggars Banquet due to their sexually forward lyrics. However, with "Sympathy for the Devil," claims that the band dabbled in Satanism were brought back into the media spotlight. Rumors and warnings from religious groups that the Stones were devil worshippers and a corrupting influence upon impressionable audiences were significantly heightened in part due to the song.

Of the song and the band's public perception in 1971, Richards said:

However, despite the controversies, "Sympathy for the Devil" has received critical acclaim. The Washington Postcalled the track The Stones' "ode to madness." To help himself focus while under the influence, Hunter S. Thompson famously played the song repetitively hundreds of times during his 1971 drug-induced road trip to Las Vegas. Subsequently, the song appears numerous times in Fear and Loathing Las Vegas.

By the time 1996 rolled around, we as a society were fully immersed in peak "Grrrl Power" culture. Shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer were dominating ratings while bands and artists like Sleater-Kinney, Tracy Chapman, and Sarah McLachlan ruled the airwaves. And there is no denying that Fiona Apple was integral to that time period and the "Third-Wave Feminist" movement.

When her album Tidal debuted, no one was expecting the ferocity or intensity coming from such a young talent. By 1997, a year after the song debuted, "Criminal" spent 20 weeks on the chart, ultimately peaking at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100. Even thirty years later, it has endured as a masterpiece.

But what you may not know is that her biggest mainstay contribution, hailed as one of the most prolific modern feminist songs, was whipped up in 45 minutes at the tender age of 17 to appease some record executives. As she was polishing off her debut album, Apple’s label, Sony Music, asked her for a “more obvious” first single. In an act of what would be the first of many defiances, Apple penned the iconic song and took it as far as it could go.

When she shot the music video with Mark Romanek, she explicitly sought a more overt sexual edge to the visuals, explaining that she did it to take back control of the narrative that she had to use her sexuality to get gains in her career. The video shows her in various stages of undress among bare-minimum and half-naked men, which serves as a commentary on using sexuality as a weapon.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in January 1998, Refinery29 reported Apple opened up about her gaunt appearance in the video, explaining she developed an eating disorder following her rape at age 12. “It wasn’t about getting thin, it was about getting rid of the bait that was attached to my body,” she said.

She also made unapologetic waves with a profanity-laden speech at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards after winning Best New Artist in a Video for “Sleep to Dream.”

“What I want to say is, everybody out there that’s watching — everybody that's watching this world — this world is bulls—t,” she boldly proclaimed. “You shouldn’t model your life about what you think that we think is cool and what we’re wearing and what we’re saying and everything. Go with yourself. Go with yourself.”

And in case you needed to be even more impressed, Vice reports that Apple whipped that haunting song up at just the tender age of 14.

How It Became a Feminist Anthem

All of these dramatic and, more importantly, evocative moments, combined with the energy surrounding them, turned what feels like a "sexy, sultry" song into a feminist anthem. Throughout Tidal, Far Out Magazinenotes Apple shows off her lyrical prowess enough to really make listeners look beyond the lascivious nature of her words and imagery.

“I’m treating the audience that is watching this video the same way the character in the song treats a man: ‘Look at me, look how pretty I am. I don’t have to give you anything else because look how pretty I am. And look how successful I am, look how much power I can get just by letting this light shine on me in a certain way,'” the outlet reports she said.

Though Apple has not chased the same mainstream commercial success later in her career, she has still hit many milestones as an artist, including a 90-word album title that earned her a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
