A piece of royal history just went on the market—for $33 million. The London estate is known as the site of a major, if not the ultimate, face-off. Yes, it’s the home where Princess Diana allegedly confronted Queen Camilla about the King Charles cheating scandal.

As the story goes, in 1989, Diana arrived unannounced at a birthday party for Camilla’s sister, Annabel Elliot, at her home, Ormeley Lodge Estate. Of course, Charles was there with his now-wife, then-mistress, Camilla Parker Bowles (the current Queen of England).

Lady Annabel shared with the Daily Mail, “Yes, Diana’s name was on the invitation, but everyone knew she always steered clear of anything where Camilla was involved…I never thought for a minute she’d come.” Well, Diana did come. And according to reports, at some point in the evening, the party guests moved to the drawing room. That is, everyone except Charles and Camilla. 

Diana found the pair, along with an unnamed man, and supposedly asked, “Can you leave us alone? I want to talk to Camilla alone.” 

King (then-Prince) Charles and the man obliged the Princess and left. That’s when Diana is said to have confronted Camilla: “I would just like you to know that I know exactly what is going on. I’m sorry I’m in the way. It must be hell for both of you…don’t treat me like an idiot.” 

Based on accounts of the event, Camilla replied, “You’ve got everything you ever wanted. You’ve got all the men in the world falling in love with you, and you’ve got two beautiful children. What more could you want?” Diana famously answered, “I want my husband.”

Ormeley Lodge is located in Richmond, South West London. The 10-bedroom, seven-bath, 15,814-square-foot estate is listed for over $33 million by Sotheby’s International Realty. 

Per Sotheby’s, it is “One of London’s most remarkable private residences.” Nestled on 2.3 acres, the property features walled gardens, 11-plus-foot-tall ceilings, original fireplaces (the house dates back to the Stuart period), a wine cellar, tennis courts, a library, a private pool, storage rooms, a principal suite with a private study, a self-contained guest apartment, and an ancillary building (Ormeley Mews) with a garage, a gardeners’ facility, and a studio apartment. 

Bought in the ‘70s by Lady Annabel’s husband, billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, the historic home has been in the family for over half a century. One of the couple’s adult children, Ben Goldsmith, recently told the Daily Mail, “Ormeley has been our treasured home for our whole lives. But it’s time to pass it on to another lucky family.” And if you happen to have an extra $33 million, it could be yours!

Released in 1981, "The Camera Eye" pushed Rush's songwriting ambitions to new heights.

Clocking in at nearly 11 minutes, the epic track became the one of the longest songs the Canadian trio ever recorded for a studio album. Featured on Moving Pictures, it has endured for more than four decades as one of Rush's most celebrated progressive rock compositions.

The song was inspired by two of the world's great cities.

Lyricist and drummer Neil Peart wrote "The Camera Eye" after visiting New York City and London, capturing the distinct personalities of each metropolis through vivid imagery and cinematic storytelling. Rather than following a traditional narrative, the lyrics observe the rhythm of urban life through the perspective of an unseen narrator, the "camera eye" of the title.

Musically, the track gave each member of Rush room to shine.

Alex Lifeson's expansive guitar work, Geddy Lee's melodic bass lines and synthesizers, and Peart's intricate drumming unfold across multiple sections that shift seamlessly between atmospheric passages and explosive instrumental moments. The composition reflected the progressive direction Rush had embraced during the late 1970s while showcasing the trio's remarkable chemistry.

Although it was never released as a single, "The Camera Eye" became one of the standout tracks on Moving Pictures, an album widely regarded as Rush's commercial and artistic breakthrough. The record also produced enduring classics such as "Tom Sawyer," "Limelight," "Red Barchetta" and "YYZ," helping cement the band's place among rock's elite.

"Most of that record was written by all of us at the same time, in the room jamming with an idea and everybody going from there," Lifeson told Louder. "What we ended up with was, I think, some of the strongest and most enduring material that we've ever written. There are a lot of songs on that record that reached a really high standard."

For many years, however, "The Camera Eye" remained largely absent from Rush’s live shows.

The band performed it during the Moving Pictures tour before shelving it for decades because of its complexity and length. In 2010, Rush surprised fans by bringing the song back to the stage during the Time Machine Tour, marking its first live performances in nearly 30 years and delighting longtime followers who had waited decades to hear it again.

"Playing it live every night is interesting – "The Camera Eye," which we hadn't performed in a long time because it's pretty difficult, has now become one of our favorite songs," Lifeson told Music Radar. "The bottom line is, we’re very proud of Moving Pictures. Thirty years later, it still feels magical."

Today, "The Camera Eye" remains a favorite among Rush fans who appreciate the band's most ambitious work. Its richly detailed lyrics, dynamic arrangement and immersive atmosphere continue to showcase the qualities that made Rush one of progressive rock's most innovative acts.

Forty-five years after its release, "The Camera Eye" stands as more than just Rush's longest studio recording. It remains a towering achievement in the band's catalog and a lasting reminder of the creative heights the trio reached during one of the greatest periods in its career.

Some of the most entertaining and memorable science fiction films are ones that could be categorized as an adventure. Collider recently released a ranking of "the 10 greatest sci-fi adventure movies of all time," which featured popular films like The Fifth Element, released in 1997, 2009'sStar Trek, Planet of the Apes, released in 1968, and the original Star Wars movie, 1977's A New Hope. The 2021 film Dune, adapted from Frank Herbert's first Dune novel from 1965, was at the top of the list.

Director Denis Villeneuve Said He's Been a Fan of 'Dune' Since He Was a Teenager

Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve wrote and directed 2021's Dune, which has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 83 percent. In a 2021 interview at Dune's FYC panel, Villeneuve said he had been a fan of the film's source material since he was 13 years old.

"It's a book I discovered when I was 13 years old. And the book stayed with me through the years," said the 58-year-old.

He went on to say he "became like a Dune fanatic" and proceeded to "read all Frank Herbert's novels."

Villeneuve also suggested he was disappointed by late directorDavid Lynch's 1984 adaptation of Dune, which wasn't critically acclaimed. He explained that when he first went to see the movie in theaters, he felt like the film was missing "the spirit" and "the tone" of the novel.

The director then said that his teenage self was hopeful that another filmmaker would eventually make another version of Dune closer to Herbert's text.

Villeneuve clarified that he was a fan of Lynch and considers him a "master" of filmmaking.

Villeneuve went on to film 2024's Dune: Part Two and Dune: Part Three, which will be out in December 2026.

The celebrity appearances in Chicago continues! Mark Ballas is returning to the jazzy musical to play Billy Flynn. This time his Dancing with the Stars judge, Derek Hough, joins him.

Hough, 41, will perform the show's opening monologue on July 20, according to Broadway. Ballas, 40, will do the post-performance talkback with Hough after the show. The Traitors alum will continue his Chicago run as Billy Flynn until August 16.

Krysta Rodriguez plays Roxie Hart, Sophie Carmen-Jones plays Velma Kelly, Jacqueline B. Arnold plays Matron “Mama” Morton, Red Concepción plays Amos Hart and J. Workman plays Mary Sunshine.

Ballas will replace Matteo Lane, who has played the criminal defense lawyer since June 22. The dancer previously performed in Burn the Floor and Footloose.

Hough and his wife, Hayley Erbert were busy with "Symphony of Dance" tour in June. This is after Erbert, 31, recovered from a cranial hematoma after their head collided during a performance.

"I forgot the choreography, by the way," he told Parade. "But she didn’t. She goes, ‘Honey, it goes like this,’ and she’s showing me. And I went, ‘You’ve been practicing, haven’t you?’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah, I was visualizing and remembering the routines.’ That fear or resentment of dance dissipated when we connected."

When Does 'Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro' Premiere?

Dancing with the Stars is getting a new spinoff where professional dancer compete to become the next professional for the original show. Robert Irwin, who won season 34 will host Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.

The competition starts with 12 contestants who will live in a house together. Ballas and his mother, Shirley Ballas will judge the competition. Other professional dancers will join them throughout the season including Witney Carson.

"The Next Pro is going to be so amazing. I was actually lucky enough to be able to be a part of three episodes," she told E! News. "I judge, and then Robert and I also do something together other than dancing, which I'm not gonna give it away, but it was very cool. It was very fun."

Britt Stewart,Daniella Karagach, Brandon Armstrong, and Hough will make an appearance. The winner of the show will appear on the next season of Dancing with the Stars.

Ballas said there are different types of challenges for the contestants. "Whether it’s from choreographing, group work, chemistry, teaching challenges, these are the things that you face as a pro on Dancing with the Stars," he explained at the 2026 Disney Upfront, according to Yahoo!

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro premieres on ABC on Monday, July, 13 at 8 p.m. E.T. The episode will be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ starting Tuesdays.

Dancing with the Stars expanded its hit franchise with a new competition series, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, and the competition began tonight with a double elimination.

Hosted by wildlife conservationist and Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Len Goodman Mirrorball Champion Robert Irwin, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, features 12 exceptional up-and-coming dancers who move into one house and compete in a grueling audition process, all vying for a coveted spot as a pro dancer on Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.

“I always look for technical excellence, but you also need to be an amazing choreographer, a good teacher, and you need to be able to cope with extreme pressure on the live show,” Shirley said of what she looks for in a pro.

Mark added, “I want to see imagination and heart. It is vital you create a routine that is exciting for the TV audience at home, not just for a traditional ballroom judge.”

The challenge for Night 1 was set by guest judge, four-time Emmy Award-winning choreographer and six-time Mirrorball Champion Derek Hough.

“The first challenge is about technique,” Derek said. “If you can’t master the basics, you don’t have a chance of being a pro on this show.”

The guys were assigned to dance the jive, while the women were given the samba. Each dance featured a paired section choreographed by Derek and a solo section choreographed by the hopefuls.

Shirely: “Technique means to me good foot action, shape through the body, musicality, clarity of shape and Eric, you have the most fantastic posture. What you did – different foot patterns, different leg patterns – awesome. Tristen, when you did your solo, you only gave me about four beats of jive. I want to know you are going to be able to teach another person how to jive.”

Mark: “Tristen, I am a little conflicted because jive is one of my favorite dances but I also like to break the rules a little bit, so maybe next time do two bars of eight of you and two bars of the jive. Eric, it felt smooth and easy. Sometimes almost too easy for me, but first one out of the gate, banger.”

Derek: “Much better than what I saw in rehearsals. Overall, both of you guys were good. I felt it lacked umph and a little energy, especially with what the music was giving us. Going forward, think about that. You can’t dance below the music.”

Mark: AJ, technique was good. You’ve done this job before in Strictly. That puts a little more pressure on you. There are killers on our show. If you’re dancing next to someone like Val Chmerkovski, I want to see you fight for it. Jake, your posture and your focus was sometimes at the floor. Work on the energy and then gas tank at the end.”

Mark: “Briar, we’ve all slipped. It happens. It’s not about falling; it’s about getting up and carrying on. You got up and you had that stank on your face, but you launched yourself and you kept going. Stefani, I think some of the transitions was a little wild, I want you to look at those little things like getting from move to move, but I loved how locked in you were.”

Shirely: “Briar, on the upper part of the body, you have a sensuality that cannot be denied, but when you walk from A to B, you don’t walk correctly. When you stand, you stand with your toes together and your heels apart. The body is a full machine of technical quality from the footwork, all the way up the body, so what my suggestion is, is that you go back to the drawing board and study from the waist downward. If your posture is in the right place, everything downward will start to work. Stephani, rhythms in the middle of your body, you take me right back to Brazil. I feel I’m right there with you.”

Derek: “Briar, tonight, with it being technique, I’m a little concerned with this performance, but honestly, great job."

Derek: “Nina, first of all, what I love from you is you are open and I can see you. That is very important on this show. It’s not just about dancing; it’s about us connecting. Adele, I gave Daniella [Karagach] the nickname Ferrari, I am going to give you the nickname Rolls Royce because you dance expensive. You have a full understanding of your mechanics.”

Mark: “Adele, I have written killer, fierce, focused. You’re an assassin. Nina, I thought you were magnetic. I couldn’t take my eyes off of you. Ahead of the music at times in the side by side, I noticed it.”

Shirley: “I agree with Derek. We have a Rolls Royce presence in our midst. I would say to you be careful you don’t block your personality. This open feeling that you just had, it’s great to see that side of you. You come across Nina as extremely warm. Adele could take a leaf out of her book. Nina, you could take a leaf out of her book when it comes to fluidity and flexibility.”

Then it was time for the eliminations. The first female dancer in jeopardy was Briar, the second was Natalie. The first male dancer in jeopardy was Tristen and the second was Jake.

When the judges ruling came down, Monday night was the last dance for Briar and Jake.

“It sucks being the first one to go home, but I honestly wouldn’t have done anything differently,” Jake said. “I gave it my all.”

“It sucks to hear your name, but I am so proud of myself,” Briar said. “I had lessons from some  of the greatest in the industry. There were compliments – good and bad – and I will take them in  and figure out what’s next.”

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, with episodes available to stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.

More than five decades after its release, Humble Pie's "30 Days in the Hole" continues to stand as one of rock music's most surprising success stories. 

Released in late 1972 as a single from the band's Smokin' album, the song failed to enter the charts in the United States, the United Kingdom or Canada. Yet 54 years later, it remains one of the English band's best-known recordings and a regular feature on classic rock playlists.

The track was written by singer and guitarist Steve Marriott, who composed it for Humble Pie's fifth studio album. At the time of release, the song received only limited radio attention and made little impact in the singles market. 

Unlike many songs that disappear after missing the charts, however, "30 Days in the Hole" found a second life through album-oriented rock stations and later through classic rock radio.

Today, the song is widely viewed as one of the defining recordings of Humble Pie's career.

By 1972, Humble Pie had already become a major live act in America. Formed in 1969 by former Small Faces frontman Steve Marriott and former Herd guitarist Peter Frampton, the group quickly built a reputation for energetic performances and blues-driven hard rock.

After Frampton left the band in 1971 to pursue a solo career, guitarist Clem Clempson joined the lineup. The new version of Humble Pie moved toward a heavier sound that highlighted Marriott's powerful vocals and love for rhythm and blues music.

That change reached its peak with Smokin', the album that produced both "Hot 'n' Nasty" and "30 Days in the Hole." The record became the band's biggest commercial success, reaching No. 6 on the US album chart.

Even though "30 Days in the Hole" failed to chart as a single, listeners continued discovering it through FM radio stations that focused on album tracks rather than Top 40 hits. Over time, the song became one of the tracks most closely linked with the band's identity.

The lyrics of "30 Days in the Hole" tell the story of an arrest involving small amounts of illegal drugs. References in the song include cocaine, marijuana, hashish, and heroin slang that was common during the era.

Despite its subject matter, later reports noted that Marriott was not attempting to celebrate drug use. Instead, the song has often been described as a warning about the consequences that can follow substance abuse.

The title refers to spending 30 days in jail, with Marriott reportedly drawing inspiration from stories he heard while touring the United States, where drug laws in some states carried strict penalties.

The recording also highlighted the lineup that helped make Smokin' such a success. Marriott handled vocals, guitar, harmonica, and electric piano, while Clem Clempson added guitar and backing vocals. Greg Ridley played bass and contributed backing vocals, and Jerry Shirley performed on drums.

The song's popularity continued long after Humble Pie's original run ended in 1975.

Marriott regularly performed it during the 1980s with his band Packet Of Three, and live versions later appeared on concert releases from that decade. Other artists also helped introduce the track to new audiences.

Gov't Mule, Mr. Big, Ace Frehley, The Black Crowes, Kick Axe, and The Dead Daisies all recorded their own versions of the song. Canadian rock band The Trews also made it a regular part of their live shows.

Those covers helped ensure that the song stayed alive for younger generations of rock fans.

Few songs illustrate the difference between chart success and cultural impact as clearly as "30 Days in the Hole." It never became a hit single in 1972, but its place in classic rock history was secured through radio play, live performances, and continued admiration from musicians and fans alike.

More than half a century after it first appeared on Smokin', the track remains proof that some rock songs do not need chart positions to become classics.

Joe Bradley may have been shocked to learn that Luke Brumer and Genevieve Lillie left bosun Nathan Gallagher sleeping in the aftermath of their hookup, but watching the drama unfold also forced the Below Deck Mediterranean deckhand to take a hard look at his own romantic history.

Despite their differences, Joe felt it was his duty to tell Nathan that he had been sleeping on sheets left behind after Luke and Gen’s morning hookup in his bed. Initially, Nathan took the news in stride — albeit grossed out — and laughed through his shock. But as the reality of what happened began to sink in, his reaction changed.

“When I find out, I'm utterly shocked,” Joe tells Parade. “Like, that's just not what you do. And it could have been resolved in so many different ways.”

While Joe was disappointed by how the situation was handled, he made it clear that he doesn’t believe Luke’s mistake defines him.

“He's a very hard worker and I've got to say this about Luke, he is such a genuine individual,” Joe says. “He's so smart, but maybe just stuff like this, he could have done better as a mature man.”

“Those decisions were dire,” he adds. “He's a genuine individual and he just made a very bad decision, but it shouldn't have gone that way.”

Despite Luke and Gen worrying about getting Nathan’s sheets into the laundry, Joe says he never noticed Luke being distracted while working.

“He works very hard,” Joe explains. “Everything I tell him to do, he gets done. Everything that filters down from Captain Sandy [Yawn] to bosun through me, he makes sure it gets done.”

But seeing Luke navigate a complicated love triangle also gave Joe a surprising moment of self-reflection.

As viewers watched Luke navigate a complicated love triangle involving Gen and his feelings for chef Joy Lefaucheur, Joe found himself reflecting on his own messy boat romances.

“Normally I'm deep inside the love triangle,” Joe says. Watching it happen from the outside made him question how he managed his own past situations.

“Seeing it unfold in real time with my own two eyes of what I've done in the past, I'm like, ‘How did I even do this? How did I even stay afloat?’” Joe admits. In Season 9, Joe was caught between stews Ellie Dubaich and Bri Muller, causing tension after both felt led on. In Season 10, Joe became involved with Victoria "V" SanJuan while secretly flirting with Kizzi Kitchener, leading to more fallout when V ended things after discovering the betrayal.

For Joe, the experience became a reminder that even the crew members who appear confident and carefree can learn from their mistakes. “It's dangerous waters,” he says. “And you hit that storm head-on. Believe me, I've done it twice before.”

As for what fans can expect from Joe for the rest of the season, he promises viewers will see a different side of him. While he's getting cozy with stew Kayley Smith this season, he says the romance is far healthier than what's transpired in the past. Joe recalls Kayley told him from the beginning she wanted nothing serious.

"The fact that we're on the same level of what we want, we just want to work hard, finish the season on a high and have a bit of a play in the interim," he recalls. "And it's mutual. And how beautiful... it was a gift. She's a beautiful individual, and I speak to Kayley, even to this day, this present day, we're friends, and it's beautiful."

Joe adds, “I am a professional at the end of the day. I take care of my position, whether it's lead deckhand, whether it's deckhand, junior deckhand, I don't care what position I'm in, I own that position.”

“You will see growth,” he adds. “Not only professionally, but you will see growth in terms of that I'm actually trying to do better.”

Erling Haaland had a World Cup to remember while in the United States this summer, and after Norway's exit in the quarterfinals, the soccer star made sure to bring home a unique souvenir.

When he and his team touched down in Norway following their loss to England on Saturday, July 11, photos showed Haaland walking off the plane with a taxidermied raccoon holding a whiskey bottle.

This took the internet by storm and Haaland quickly addressed it in a post, joking about the moment.

Frank Ferrer has strong feelings about Guns N ' Roses' frontman, AxlRose. 

The rock band’s former drummer just gave Rolling Stone his first interview since leaving the group.

Ferrer told the magazine that Rose's reputation isn’t totally accurate to who he really is. When asked about what the public misunderstands about the rocker, Ferrer was happy to set the record straight. 

“That he’s a mean guy. I think the world thinks that he’s a scary, mean guy. And he’s the complete opposite,” he said.

He continued, “[Rose] doesn’t suffer fools, so that might piss people off. But he’s generous and super funny and worried about us all the time. I wish they could know him the way I know him. That’s the only way I could say it. He’s a great musician, great singer, all that stuff that goes in the pot, but he’s a good man.”

Ferrer was supposed to be a temporary addition to Guns N’ Roses. He took over for drummer Brian “Brain” Mantia in 2006 after Mantia took time off to be with his newborn child. His two-week gig became 19 years, making Ferrer the longest-running drummer for the band. 

He recalled Rose making sure he felt welcome. 

“Him being really super nice and friendly,” Ferrer remembered after meeting the legendary Axl Rose. “I think he saw it too that this is a big deal. ‘Hey, this guy’s jumping on kinda raw,’ and I’m sure he felt, ‘This better work.’ And when I got up onstage, he was like, ‘Great job.’”

The 60-year-old drummer played on Chinese Democracy and worked with Slash and DuffMcKagan when they returned to the group in 2016

Guns N’ Roses announced Ferrer was leaving the band in March 2025. He was replaced by IsaacCarpenter. 

“Everything comes to an end. Everything just comes to an end,” he shared. “And I’ve said this before, I knew this thing wasn’t gonna be forever. I was just so happy I got to do it when I got to do it and now I’m doing other stuff. It’s really that simple.”

Fans hoping to see some of music’s most legendary names onstage this summer just lost one of their chances. A major U.K. concert series featuring Eric Clapton, Lionel Richie, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, and more has canceled its entire 2026 lineup, citing low ticket sales.

Heritage Live, an independent British concert promoter known for staging large-scale outdoor music and comedy events around England, has canceled all of its summer festivals, which were scheduled to take place at three historic estates: Englefield, Audley End, and Sandringham.

“We'd been working desperately hard behind the scenes to conclude an investment and equity package to ease the burden of an extraordinarily tough year, but this last beacon of hope has fallen through at the 11th hour, making it impossible to go ahead,” a statement on the Heritage Live website reads.

The cancellations affected fans who had tickets to see artists including the aforementioned artists, as well as Faithless, UB40, Ronnie Wood, Ricky Martin, and more.

“The might of huge multi-nationals has had the adverse effect of driving up supplier, artist and staffing costs and whilst it's still just about manageable during a normal year, the cost- of-living crisis combined with general financial uncertainty, has resulted in several shows having far lower than average ticket sales, making it impossible to survive in such a competitive industry, with so many rising costs,” the statement adds.

Regarding tickets, Heritage Live directs ticket holders to their points of purchase for refunds without delay.

For the past decade, Heritage Live has brought major stars to some of England’s most iconic locales, creating concert experiences for fans gathering from all over the world. So, the news comes as a blow.

Heritage Live signs off its statement with, “Thank you so much to everyone who has supported and enjoyed our events over the past 10 years. Whilst this is devastating news, we hope that in time you're able to look back with fond memories to those happier days; we've had so many awesome and magical moments over the years and hope they remain in your hearts forever.”

Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper says he was misled regarding a personalized video he filmed for FanDuel that was given to a gambling addict.

Harper posted a statement to his Instagram on Monday, July 13, saying that he would not have made the video if he had known FanDuel would use it as part of a VIP promotion.

"I did not know FanDuel would do this," Harper wrote. "I did not consent to it, and FanDuel had no right to do it."

"Had I known FanDuel's true intent, I would not have made the video," Harper added. "The same is true had I known anything about Terry or his situation, or about any alleged 'partnership' between Cameo and FanDuel."

The video, which was first reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer, showed Harper wishing a fan a happy Thanksgiving in a video in November 2024 with the sports betting company's logo. He says he was given a script to read and did so "in good faith."

The fan, whose name is Terry Thompson, is suing FanDuel and his VIP host, Bryttanni Morgan, saying that they caused him to become addicted, ultimately losing $2 million in bets. Others named in the lawsuit are DraftKings, the NFL, and the league's official data distributor, Genius Sports. It says that Morgan contacted Thompson about promotional offers and gifts, which included tickets and hotel accommodations to attend the Super Bowl, all of which encouraged him to bet more.

“What happened here went beyond anything I knew about or approved,” Harper said in the statement, adding that he has no affiliation with FanDuel.

The video is being reviewed by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, according to ESPN.

The Athletic further adds that Harper "could pursue litigation against FanDuel, according to two people briefed on the matter."

"In response to a recent article in The Philadelphia Inquirer, I want to provide the following facts. 

"I joined Cameo to engage with fans through paid personalized videos. What happened here went beyond anything I knew about or approved. 

"In November 2024, someone identifying themselves only as 'Bryttanni' submitted an order through Cameo for a personal 'holiday video for Terry.' Cameo had a separate category for business video requests, and at the time I did not know this video would be used for commercial purposes. The request included a short script. I read it in good faith. FanDuel then put its own logo on the video and used it as a gambling promotion. I did not know FanDuel would do this, I did not consent to it, and FanDuel had no right to do it. 

"Had I known FanDuel's true intent, I would not have made the video. The same is true had I known anything about Terry or his situation, or about any alleged "partnership" between Cameo and FanDuel. 

"Contrary to the Inquirer's suggestion, I did not know the Cameo video would be used for a FanDuel VIP promotion, and I have no affiliation with FanDuel whatsoever. 

"Counsel has directed me not to comment any further at this time."

Veteran gospel artist Ricky McKinnie is celebrating his 74th birthday, marking more than five decades in gospel music and entertainment. The singer, drummer, songwriter, radio host and music executive has spent his career helping shape modern gospel music while becoming one of the most recognized voices associated with the legendary Blind Boys of Alabama.

Born on July 12, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia, Eric "Ricky" McKinnie has built a legacy that stretches from church performances in his hometown to Grammy-winning stages across the world.

 Today, he serves as the acting leader and business manager of the Blind Boys of Alabama, the celebrated gospel group that has earned six Grammy Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy.

McKinnie's birthday arrives as the Blind Boys of Alabama continue touring and sharing their story with new generations of music fans. The group recently released the book Spirit of the Century: Our Own Story, documenting more than 80 years of history dating back to 1944.

Ricky McKinnie's Gospel Music Journey Began in Atlanta

McKinnie was raised in Atlanta, where music quickly became part of his daily life. He began singing in church alongside his mother and learned to play drums while performing at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

While still a teenager, he joined Troy Ramey and the Soul Searchers in 1970. Two years later, he became a member of the Gospel Keynotes, one of gospel music's leading groups during the decade.

During his years with the Gospel Keynotes, McKinnie performed on the Gold-certified album Reach Out and the Platinum-selling Destiny. The group also recorded notable songs including "Jesus, You Been Good to Me" and "That's My Son Hanging on the Cross."

Around the age of 20, McKinnie began losing his sight because of glaucoma. By 1975, he was completely blind.

Despite that challenge, his music career continued to grow. Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson honored the singer in 1975 by declaring May 10 as "Eric R. McKinnie Day." Two years later, Georgia Governor George Busbee also recognized his contributions to gospel music.

In 1978, McKinnie founded the Ricky McKinnie Singers with his mother and brother. The family group performed across Georgia and opened shows for gospel icon James Cleveland.

Although McKinnie had known members of the Blind Boys of Alabama since childhood, he officially joined the group in 1989. Over the years, he became one of its most important figures, eventually taking over management duties in 1997 before moving into the role of business manager in 2000.

Following the retirement of longtime member Jimmy Carter in 2023, McKinnie became the group's acting leader.

The Blind Boys of Alabama were originally formed in 1944 by students from the Alabama Institute for the Negro Deaf and Blind. The group has remained active for more than eight decades while introducing gospel music to audiences around the world.

Reflecting on the group's impact earlier this year, McKinnie said he hopes future generations remember the band for changing perceptions about disability.

"I hope that future generations would remember the Blind Boys for showing people that a disability didn't have to be a handicap,” McKinnie told WOUB. Because it's not about what you can't do that's important. It's about what you do. Blindness is not a handicap; it's a limitation, and everybody's got limitations."

McKinnie also explained what keeps the group motivated after decades of performing.

"What keeps us inspired, keeps us going on, is that people still appreciate our music. Knowing that our music touches people."

He added, "When somebody comes to the record table after a show and says that our music made a difference in their lives – that's what keeps us going because we are glad that our music and our concerts do make a difference."

Outside of performing, McKinnie operates an Atlanta recording studio, supports organizations connected to glaucoma awareness and diabetes, and leads Traditions Cultural Arts, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to preserving traditional arts and mentoring future performers.

As he turns 74, McKinnie remains one of gospel music's most respected figures and continues leading the Blind Boys of Alabama into a new chapter while honoring the group's historic legacy.

Throughout the '80s, many musical artists learned that one top 40 hit didn't guarantee lifetime success. For instance, the publication Collider recently spotlighted some once-popular bands, groups, and singers from the era with a ranking of the "10 greatest '80s one-hit wonders."

The list, published on July 13, included songs like The Weather Girls' 1982 hit, "It's Raining Men," Devo's "Whip It," released in 1980, "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell from 1981, and Toni Basil's "Mickey," also released in 1981. According to Collider, the number one "one-hit wonder" from the 1980s is Dexys Midnight Runners' 1982 "Come On Eileen" off the band's second album, Too-Rye-Ay. The publication suggested that fans fell in love with "Come On Eileen" because it's a cheery tune with unexpected Celtic folk elements that differentiated it from other '80s hits.

"Come On Eileen" got the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 spot in April 1983. According to Billboard, the English band's only other song that made it on the Hot 100 was "The Celtic Soul Brothers," which secured the No. 86 spot in June 1983.

Kevin Rowland Explained the Inspiration Behind 'Come On Eileen' in a 2006 Interview

During a 2006 interview with Top 2000 a gogo, the band's frontman Kevin Rowland, now 72, explained that "Come On Eileen" was loosely inspired by 1981's "Labelled With Love" by Squeeze. He said he incorrectly believed that the song's lyrics included the line "Me and Eileen." After he realized that Squeeze's real lyrics were "Me and myself," he decided that the name Eileen would be great for a Dexys Midnight Runners song.

In addition, he said he used Celtic elements in "Come On Eileen" because his father "used to sing those old" Irish songs. He noticed that other mainstream bands weren't "doing anything like that."

Actress Jane Seymour isn't afraid of aging. The Dr, Quinn, Medicine Woman star got candid, speaking out about age, acting, and Hollywood during a panel at Fanboy Expo Knoxville at the Knoxville Convention Center on July 11.

Per PEOPLE, Seymour opened up, sharing her take on playing the lead on Acorn TV’s Harry Wild: “Having Harry Wild at this time of my life is just huge for me, to play a woman of a certain age who’s not decided to go live under a rock and then wait for the end of their life.”

“I’m hoping that I’m the poster child for women over 50 to realize that post-menopause, the kids are gone, you may or not have a partner in your life anymore or want one or get one, but life is not over,” said Seymour. “You may have retired, but it doesn’t mean you can’t now use your skill set and your passion for life to do something else with the skills that you have.” 

The actress also spoke about choosing roles: “I’m not trying to play younger than I am. I’m just trying to be authentically my kind of age span and tell these stories. I’m privileged.” Of her recent turn in Harry Wild, the 75-year-old added, “I’m not just some random grandmother in the background.” 

Seymour described the character during a recent interview with Westlake Malibu Lifestyle Magazine: “She’s a professor of English Literature, so she’s smart, articulate, and she solves crimes utilizing the benefits of history and literature.”

While Seymour is certainly a ‘poster child’ for women in their 50s and older, she isn’t the only actress speaking out about aging. Other celebs, such as Halle Berry, are doing more than just aging gracefully. The 59-year-old Hollywood superstar also owns Respin Health, a women’s wellness company that provides perimenopause and menopause care. 

She recently appeared on TODAY with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, sharing (about her age), “I feel different than I thought I would feel at 60. What is 60? What is age anymore? It’s a feeling. I feel stronger, smarter, wiser, more myself, more in control. You know, I am the best version of myself at this time in my life, and I am so glad that I’m still here and healthy."

Other celebs who have gotten real about aging in the limelight include Pamela Anderson (who now favors a natural, almost makeup-free look), Tracee Ellis Ross, Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Mirren, and Salma Hayek.

In 1975, AC/DC introduced the world to a song that perfectly captured the band's fearless attitude—but its principal songwriter was only 19 years old.

"High Voltage," the title track from AC/DC's first international album, was co-written by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young in 1974, when Angus was still a teenager. More than 50 years later, the hard-hitting anthem remains one of the band's defining songs and an enduring celebration of confidence, ambition and rock 'n' roll itself.

The song arrived during AC/DC's earliest days.

After forming in Sydney in 1973, the Young brothers quickly developed a no-frills brand of hard rock built on powerful riffs, infectious hooks and the unmistakable voice of Bon Scott. "High Voltage" showcased all of those qualities, helping establish the blueprint that would eventually make AC/DC one of the biggest rock bands in history.

"Malcolm and George always sort of said it'd be cool if we had a song that had the chords A, C, D, C in it," Young said in a 1997 interview. He began writing the now-iconic song. "That was the idea behind 'High Voltage."

Lyrically, the song isn't about electricity at all.

Instead, "High Voltage" uses the phrase as a metaphor for energy, determination and living life at full throttle. Scott's charismatic delivery, combined with Angus Young's electrifying guitar work, transforms the song into an unapologetic declaration of self-belief, making it feel just as motivational today as it did when it was first released.
