Ariana Madix will once again enter the Villa to lend her hosting skills, while the “Aftersun” after show will instead be hosted by Tefi Pessoa and Ciara Miller. The Summer House star will be using Love Island as a warm-up act for Dancing with the Stars this fall, which she’ll compete on alongside previous “Aftersun” host Maura Higgins.

Almost 70 years ago, The Executioners by John D. MacDonald lit up bookshelves. But you know the story by a different name, Cape Fear, due to the numerous film adaptations, with the most recent starring Robert DeNiro. Now, the terrifying tale makes its TV debut (outside of a classic episode of The Simpsons, of course) on Apple TV. This time, it’s Javier Bardem whose criminal seeks revenge for the married couple who helped put him away (played by Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson) at any cost. Whether it be strapping himself to the underside of a car or stalking a family on a houseboat, the Oscar winner’s portrayal will be sure to keep everyone in titular terror.

While it seems like the world has moved on from vampires post-Twilight and True Blood, AMC has very much proven that’s not the case. Since 2022, the network’s adaptation of Anne Rice’sInterview with the Vampire has titillated viewers, making a meal out of the emotional and complicated romance between Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Lestat (Sam Reid). The show depicting the lives of immortal creatures has taken on a new life in Season 3, changing its title to The Vampire Lestat after Rice’s second book in her iconic series. Despite the new name, though, we’re still in store for plenty of the familiar with one of AMC’s most popular shows, with hopefully enough “Loustat” to heat up this summer even more.

It’s been almost a year since The Summer I Turned Pretty came to a close. And while a feature film is on the way, there is still a hole in many people’s hearts to be filled with dramatic, passionate teenage romance. And Amazon hopes they found a proper fill-in with their new Prime Video series Every Year After. Based on the novel Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, the show takes place over the course of six unforgettable summers, as Persephone Fraser (Sadie Soverall) and Sam Florek (Matt Cornett) form a complicated relationship that both develops and disintegrates. Helmed by showrunner Amy B. Harris (Sex and the City, The Carrie Diaries), I couldn’t help but wonder: Has Amazon found its next YA hit?

But can the trio of best friends handle a move up north? With Maddie being offered a new publishing job up in New York City, Season 5 will take us to the Big Apple, proving that no matter where you go, it’s always margarita night somewhere.

House of the Dragon Season 3 (HBO): June 21 Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen in 'House of the Dragon'

It’s truly surreal to think Game of Thrones premiered 15 years ago, considering how much the land of Westeros and its characters have had an iron grip on pop culture since then. While the original show ended in 2019, it has had a couple of successors, most notably House of the Dragon. Season 3, which will serve as the penultimate season of the HBO prequel, will continue to stir up the tension in the Targaryen civil war, as Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) and Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and look to gain and maintain the Iron Throne, respectively. What will the kingdom look like with Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) vacating the throne? How much more blood will be shed, bodies burned by dragon fire? Will Daemon (Matt Smith) ever leave Harrenhal? The answers to these should be sweeter and more pleasing than a helping of milk of the poppy.

Since 2022, we have relied on sitting down one summer day in late June to binge the sumptuous meal that is The Bear. And indeed, the Emmy-winning culinary “comedy” is back for a fifth course on FX and Hulu on June 25. But things are left up in the air more than ever, with Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) leaving “Beef” behind, in the trusting hands of Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). Perhaps the superstar chef already knows what guest star Jamie Lee Curtis has teased: That Season 5 of The Bear may be its last. If that’s the case, we should expect another 10-episode batch of intense family drama, high-stress kitchen scenes, and all-star guest appearances from Brie Larson to John Mulaney to Bob Odenkirk to the late Rob Reiner. Regardless of whether this is our last time seeing our ragtag group of Chicago restaurateurs, getting to check in with them again has us eagerly saying, “Yes, chef!”

Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness (HBO): June 26 Larry David in 'Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness'

On July 4, America will celebrate its 250th birthday. Leave it to Larry David to make a party all about himself. Two years after Curb Your Enthusiasm went off the air, the legendary comedian is back on HBO, giving his own take on American history in Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness. The seven-episode series gets David back to his sketch roots from his time on SNL, taking a variety of cracks at famous moments across the quarter-millennium history of the U.S. The show should feature plenty of famous faces from Curb Your Enthusiasm, and has the backing (though begrudgingly, if you ask them) from Barack and Michelle Obama.

Oh my god, you guys, it’s been 25 years since Legally Blonde hit theaters! The iconic Reese Witherspoon comedy has transcended multiple mediums since 2001, spawning a sequel, a reality show, and even a popular musical. So, when the idea was floated out to bring the story of Elle Woods to television, Amazon simply replied, “What, like it’s hard?” Elle serves as a prequel to Harvard Law and even the Delta Nu sorority, as the titular protagonist, this time played by Lexi Minetree, navigates high school in Seattle during the 1990s. Safe to say, I don’t know if her “think pink” mindset will vibe with the grunge scene at the time. Regardless, the series doesn’t have to bend (and snap) to become a Prime Video mainstay, as it’s already been renewed for Season 2.

Little House on the Prairie (Netflix): July 9 The cast of 'Little House on the Prairie'

For over a decade, viewers were obsessed with the life and times of the Ingalls family on Little House on the Prairie. Based on the iconic book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder, we were taken back a century, watching the trials and tribulations that came with living a “simpler” life on the frontier. Now, Wilder’s work gets brought into the 21st century, as a new adaptation of Little House is coming to Netflix on July 9. Based on her third book of the same name, which also served as the pilot movie of the original series, the new version comes courtesy of Rebecca Sonnenshine, who recently broke out with her screenplay of The Housemaid. But, even though Little House on the Prairie is now in the streaming era, don’t expect any gruesome bloodshed, or curse words coming out of Laura’s (Alice Halsey) mouth.

Big Brother Season 28 (CBS): July 9 'Big Brother' host Julie Chen Moonves

Has Big Brother hit its modern-day stride? Admittedly, it’s tough to maintain quality for a show that airs 40 episodes over a nearly three-month game. But the past two summers have been ones for the ages for the iconic CBS reality series, now over 25 years on the air. Groups of houseguests are chock full of big, chaotic players, who have made some of the wildest moves in recent memory. The advent of the “A.I. Arena/BB Blockbuster” has been one of the show’s most successful twists ever, providing a much-needed shot in the arm to Thursday night eviction episodes. And Big Brother 28 hopes to continue the streak when it premieres July 9. CBS has advertised this as one of the show’s biggest seasons to date, including more episodes of the companion series Big Brother: Unlocked. And, at some point, the show will hit its 1,000th episode, etching Julie Chen Moonves and company into the pantheon of TV history. Considering what we’re already expecting, imagine the unexpected that’s yet to come!

One of the quintessential summer staples is a weekend by the water, a few days by the ocean or a lake with close friends or family to welcome in the warm weather. And that’s what Hollis Shaw (Jennifer Garner) aims to accomplish in The Five-Star Weekend. The new Peacock series centers on a famous chef and author who suffers a devastating loss that begins to crack the frame of her seemingly picture-perfect life. Trying to overcome her grief, Hollis brings together people from all parts of her life to Nantucket, reconciling her past in more ways than one. Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2023 novel, despite the title, the cast is packed with stars, including Garner, Chloë Sevigny, Regina Hall, Gemma Chan, D’Arcy Carden and Timothy Olyphant.

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro (ABC): July 13 Shirley and Mark Ballas

Dancing with the Stars is a life-changing experience for more than just the celebs who come onto the show every year. The biggest constants in the hit ABC reality show’s equation have been the pros. And, as DWTS has seen a resurgence in popularity the past few years, the professional dancers have become celebrities in their own right, making household names out of people like Derek Hough, Julianne Hough and Mark Ballas. And the latter will help determine who will be the next to join them on the new spinoff Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro. Joined by his mother (and Strictly Come Dancing head judge) Shirley Ballas, twelve up-and-coming dancers will put their creativity and charisma to the test in the hopes of joining the flagship series this fall. It’s an interesting symbol of how much DWTS has remained in the spotlight over 20 years, creating an outright reality show about casting someone on another reality show.

The Hawk (Netflix): July 16 Will Ferrell is  Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins in 'The Hawk'

Despite his meteoric rise to fame on Saturday Night Live over 30 years ago, interestingly, Will Ferrell has not done much since in leading a TV show. But that all changes with The Hawk. The new comedy series aims to do to golf what Talladega Nights and Blades of Glory did for racecar driving and figure skating, respectively. Ferrell plays Lonnie "The Hawk" Hawkins, a golfer looking to regain his former glory by rejoining the PGA tour — and competing against his own son. The Emmy winner is joined by a cast on par with some of his best supporting players, including Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson and Chris Parnell. When it comes to sinking the comedic putt, we shall see if Ferrell is able to nail the birdie, or sink a bogey.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 (Paramount+): July 23 Anson Mount as Captain Pike in 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds'

While the “new era” of Star Trek has been in existence for almost a decade, lately has felt like a bit of a red alert situation. Its latest venture, Starfleet Academy, earned a number of criticisms, and a subsequent cancellation after its upcoming second season. And the only other Trek show putting out new episodes, Strange New Worlds, has announced that it will also be ending its communication after five seasons. Luckily, we still have a full 10-episode Season 4 before we get to that endpoint, giving us plenty more time with the crew of the Starship Enterprise. Strange New Worlds has truly been the “box of chocolates” (albeit replicated ones) Star Trek show, as every week has wildly swung through various genres and tones. From a murder mystery to a mockumentary to a flat-out musical, much like the planets and species the Starfleet crew interact with on a daily basis, we never truly know what is in store.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe (HBO Max): July 23 John Ross Bowie, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, Kevin Sussman in 'Stuart Fails to Save the Universe'

While it’s been off the air since 2019, The Big Bang Theory has lived on through a variety of spin-offs. So far, Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage have been bona fide successes for CBS. But its latest is far and away its most strange. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe focuses on the titular comic book store owner (played by Kevin Sussman), who is forced to become the hero of his own story when he accidentally brings about the end of the universe. Flanked by girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), geologist Bert (Brian Posehn), and frenemy Kripke (John Ross Bowie), Stuart will go on a grand adventure through the multiverse, in the hopes of re-establishing his own. Interestingly, given how sci-fi it is, the HBO Max series seems like the perfect show that Sheldon and Leonard would watch themselves!

In 2023, we “Believe”d Ted Lasso was over. The Emmy-winning soccer comedy had seemingly taken its last shot, with Ted (Jason Sudeikis) leaving AFC Richmond behind to go back home to his family. But, after much rumor and speculation, Apple TV announced in 2025 that this wouldn’t be the last we’d see of the pitch. The new season will pull on a thread from the Season 3 finale, with Keeley (Juno Temple) proposing an AFC Richmond Women’s Team to Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham). And so, soon enough, Ted finds himself traveling back across the pond, with a new group of faces to inspire with his unique coaching skills. While not everyone is returning from Season 4, Ted Lasso’s return will feature a fair amount of familiar faces, including Temple, Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt. Hopefully, this new life for AFC Richmond will be more surprising and delicious than biscuits with the boss!

Anna Pigeon (USA Network): Aug. 7 Tracy Spiridakos as Anna in 'Anna Pigeon'

In 2024, Comcast separated several NBCUniversal channels into its own entity, including USA Network. Gone are the days of Suits, White Collar, and Mr. Robot, with very little original content left. So the former “characters welcome” network is eagerly welcoming in one big character, the titular lead of new series Anna Pigeon. Led by former Chicago P.D. fan favorite Tracy Spiridakos, the drama focuses on a city slicker who, after undergoing a devastating loss, heads into the wilderness to start her life over as a park ranger. And, while she’s trying to outrun the demons she left behind, she finds new ones in the woods, as she works to solve crimes in national parks. It’s a perfect way to spend time in the great outdoors without ever needing to leave your air conditioning!

Since James Gunn has taken over the DC Universe, he’s primarily focused on the Man of Steel. But he’ll be trading that in for a powerful green ring in the new HBO series Lanterns. The new series will focus on two iterations of the Green Lantern, Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre), as they investigate a murder in Nebraska that the former believes may be extraterrestrial in nature. To say it’s an unconventional superhero story would be an understatement. So it’s no surprise that Lanterns is co-created by Damon Lindelof who, alongside Lost and The Leftovers, revolutionized comic books on TV with his adaptation of Watchmen. With a style reminiscent of True Detective and Slow Horses, Lanterns goes to show that a superhero series, much like hard-light construction, can take on many different forms.

Country is also having a major moment on this year’s list.

Ella Langley’s "Choosin' Texas," Kacey Musgraves' "Mexico Honey" and Noah Kahan’s "Doors" all fit into Spotify’s "postcard country" category, one that's reflective songs tied to specific places, memories and moods.

Instead of loud summer party anthems, many of these tracks feel quieter and more emotional, the kind of songs made for road trips and sunset playlists.

Rex Smith was on a fast track to stardom as a rock and roller and Broadway star when a starring role in a coming-of-age TV movie in 1979 changed his life overnight.

The television film Sooner or Later catapulted Smith into teen idol status. Debuting in March of that year, it quickly introduced him to a young audience and helped launch his rise to pop stardom.

Sooner or Later had the distinction of not only being an NBC television movie, but was also a long-form music video woven into a love story between Smith's rocker character Michael Skye and Denise Miller's Jessie Walters. The film blended narrative and performance by using musical sequences to deepen the emotional arc between the two characters.

Smith was able to parlay his talents as both a musician and frontman to bring a smoldering sexiness to 17-year-old Michael, who falls in love with Jessie, whom he believes is 16 but in reality is 13. The film’s soundtrack echoed their romance, with the title track “You Take My Breath Away” reinforcing the emotional tension and youthful longing at the story's core.

Smith said in an interview with Arizona Central, "I was being groomed to be a Van Halen, if you will, then Sooner or Later happened. It played on a Sunday, and the next day I was at Bloomingdale's to buy a shirt, and 20 minutes later I was locked in a dressing room with fans outside. In today's world of a thousand channels, that kind of overnight stardom doesn't happen anymore."

Smith told podcaster David A.R. White, "I knew anything that went that hard and fast comes down that hard and fast."

The song reached No. 10 on the Billboard charts and cemented Smith's status in the recording industry. Two years later, he was back on the charts via a No. 32 ranking duet with Rachel Sweet, "Everlasting Love."

1. The Equalizer (2014)

Thirteen years after their brilliant collaboration on 2001's Training Day, Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua reunited for The Equalizer, a vigilante action-thriller based on the 1980s TV show of the same name. A box office success, the film spawned two sequels, with each entry serving the meat and potatoes of the genre: tense confrontations, gritty violence and satisfying vigilante justice.

Tool, the multi-award-winning band behind the hit song “Sober,” has fans buzzing after announcing exciting news.

Riot Fest 2026, one of the premier music festivals in the U.S., revealed the lineup of bands and artists scheduled to perform at this year’s event.

Scheduled to kick off from Sept. 18 through 20 at Douglass Park in Chicago, the three-day event will feature high-octane sets from over 100 bands.

For the special event, the headlining roster features performances from ‘90s music icon Alanis Morissette, Twenty One Pilots and Pierce the Veil.

In addition, Tool will also be joining the lineup as one of the festival's headliners.

Following the announcement, the band’s official Instagram account shared a post expressing its enthusiasm for Riot Fest 2026.

“We are happy to announce we’ll be playing at @riot_fest in Douglas Park, Chicago, IL. The festival takes place Sept 18th-20th, 2026. Tickets are on sale now! LINK IN BIO,” the caption reads.

The Instagram update sparked buzz among fans who shared their enthusiasm for the band's upcoming festival appearance.

“This is a mix I really enjoy… damn,” one wrote.

“This lineup is beyond sick. But why does this have to take place in Chicago?” a fan said.

“This is a wild lineup,” a follower noted.

“I never thought in a million years I would see Tool playing with Taking Back Sunday,” a commenter remarked.

At the upcoming festival, fans will get to see high-energy concerts from indie trailblazers like The Format, Twin Peaks, Pixies and Bright Eyes, as well as alternative rock veterans such as Morrissey, Sugar, Local H and more.

Adding to the excitement, music legends like Iggy Pop, Patti Smith & Her Band, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd are also set to take the stage at the festival.

Beyond the forthcoming festival, Tool is gearing up for an exciting milestone in the coming years.

Drummer Danny Carey shared in an interview with Spiral Out Network that the band is “working on a lot of new Tool songs now, hopefully [for release in] 2027, that’s the goal”.

The drummer mentioned that performing at the iconic Sphere residencies has been on their radar.

“Yeah, we’re very much into that,” he said, as mentioned by The PRP, adding, “We’re hoping when we release the new record, maybe do a stint at the Sphere, ’cause I think we’re the perfect band for that. We’ve been talking to those guys.”

Tool currently consists of members Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor and frontman Maynard James Keenan, who also plays with supergroup A Perfect Circle and the band Puscifer.

RockerBret Michaelsis the latest artist to pull out of the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair. The former Poison frontman joins Young MC, Martina McBride, The Commodores, C+C Music Factory, Morris Day and The Time, and Milli Vanilli.

While many of the performers claim the festival was initially billed as a nonpartisan event celebrating America’s 250th birthday, ties to the Trump administration reportedly led to the recent mass exodus. 

Freedom 250 announced the event lineup earlier this week, posting a lengthy list of legendary and nostalgic performers, including Michaels, McBride, Young MC, The Commodores, C+C Music Factory, Morris Day and The Time, Vanilla Ice, Flo Rida, and Milli Vanilli. As of Friday morning, the only acts that remain are Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida.

Other Freedom 250 performers cited the event's veiled ties to President Donald Trump as the primary reason for leaving the lineup. On Thursday, May 28, Michaels joined his fellow artists in exiting the festival list. 

The musician shared an explanation to his fans on his website, stating, “When the opportunity was originally presented to my team, it was described as a celebration of our country through music and a chance to honor our veterans, active military, first responders, teachers, and hardworking Americans from all walks of life. As the son of a veteran, and coming from a family that has proudly served, that is something I have always been honored to support.”

Michales continued, “As many of you know, I've spent my entire career bringing people together through music, positivity, and good vibes. My shows have never been about politics.” 

Even though he later goes on to note, “This isn’t about politics. It’s about staying true to what I’ve always believed in. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions,” Michaels also adds, “What was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be part of.” 

The ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorns’ singer went on to share, “Concerns have also been raised regarding the safety of my fans, band, crew, family, and myself, including threats that are completely unfounded and unforgivable.”

Fans who are disappointed they won’t get a chance to see the rocker on the National Mall aren't in for a total letdown. Before ending his lengthy note, Michaels adds, “I also want my amazing fans in Washington, D.C. to know that I love you all, and I fully intend to come back and perform in our nation’s capital under circumstances where the focus can remain on what it should be - the music and the fans.”

There are a lot of reasons for facial redness, including eczema, rosacea and a compromised skin barrier to name some common culprits. Prequel's Redness Reform aims to quiet redness caused by any and all of these, and I'm happy to say I noticed subtle results within a week.

That's not to say that my skin doesn't still get rosy from my rosacea, but regular use of this serum certainly tones it down. It has soothing oat kernel extract as well as fatty acids to calm the skin. The texture is very light, absorbs quickly and is easy to layer with other products.

2. Half & Half Peptides and Ceramides Moisturizer, $26

If you haven't tried a liquid-y moisturizer, it's time. Inspired by Korean beauty products, this emulsion may be the one on the list I'm most excited about.

You give the very nice-looking bottle a shake and pour out a bit of the milky substance (it does look like half and half) and apply it after cleansing and applying serums, but before a heavier moisturizer and sunscreen.

If you have oily skin, you can use it alone as a moisturizer and still get plenty of hydration.

The formula is half peptides and half ceramides and features something called a "lipidic matrix." This structure, derived from olive glycerides, basically helps the ingredients to absorb better.

It feels nourishing, is satisfying to use and is easy to layer with other skincare products. I used it in the morning before a thicker moisturizer and layered it with the retinal at night to help keep my skin from getting irritated.

My skin has felt soft and smooth while using this product daily. Half & Half reminds me a lot of Rhode's Glazing Milk in terms of look, feel and quality, but the Prequel version is larger and less expensive.

3. Solar Shade Sunscreen, $25

This is now my go-to sunscreen, which I will continue to wear every day. It has the feel of a moisturizer but offers broad spectrum SPF 46 protection. It has been developed for all skin tones and it has antioxidants and ingredients meant to soothe and hydrate.

It goes on easily and absorbs quickly, and doesn't mess with my moisturizers or makeup. I've been using primarily Korean sunscreens for the last year for their skincare feel, but this one is now leading the pack.

4. Multi-Quench Plumping Hydration Serum, $28

I love a face spray. You can keep it in your car, on your desk or in your purse, and just give yourself a little lift when you feel droopy. It's a psychological boost, and in this case also a physical one, since it contains a super-hydrator called polyglutamic acid (PGA). It's similar to hyaluronic acid (HA), but PGA is a peptide made up of amino acids, while HA is a sugar or polysaccharide.

The Prequel website states PGA is an even better hydrator than HA, and the spray includes 1% pure PGA and 3% of a PGA complex that is supposed to help plump the skin. It also has glycerine to support the skin barrier.

The mist is a nice, fine spray and the bottle is the perfect size for the bathroom shelf or to tote around. I can't say my skin exactly looked plumper to me, but maybe it is on the microscopic level. Either way, I plan on pulling out this face spray plenty during the upcoming hot weather.

Prequel Skincare Review: Final Thoughts

If you feel overwhelmed by all of the options out there, Prequel is a sure bet. It's one of the best skincare brands on the market when you consider quality for cost. It's thoughtfully considered, beautifully packaged, scientifically backed, approved by the National Eczema Association and the National Rosacea Society and founded by a cosmetic dermatologist.

I didn't choose the cleansing oil, vitamin C serum or retinal gel as "must-buys," only because I have found other versions of these products that I like a little better (but they are also more expensive). Those three products are still good and worth trying. I expect to have Prequel products in my bathroom cabinet from now on, and I'm planning to try anything new they launch. 5 stars!

This will feed a crowd and starts with a golden fried Boomin Onion, topped with pork burnt ends, queso blanco, pickled red onions, BBQ sauce, and BBQ aioli. Maybe wear your stretchy pants to the game if you want to get this over-the-top meal.

On May 29, 2026, the ever-stylish Italian-Canadian actor best known for his work in the 1980s crime drama Stingray, Nick Mancuso, turned 78 years old, and fans excitedly celebrated his birthday and his impressive legacy in film and television.

Born Nicodemo Antonio Massimo Mancuso in Italy in 1948, Mancuso moved to Canada with his family when he was a young boy. As he grew up, he took an interest in acting and started with theater roles across Canada. Mancuso debuted on stage in the U.S. in 1979, acting in a couple of projects in Atlanta, Ga., working with acclaimed playwright Tennessee Williams.

This work introduced him to some film producers who cast him in the 1979 horror movieNightwing. At the time, he'd already booked some small roles in television and movies, with his first credited role being a small part in an episode of Police Surgeon in 1974. While the producers hoped Nightwing would be a hit and Mancuso's big break, it unfortunately was a bit of a flop.

But a few years later, Mancuso starred in the 1981 drama film Ticket to Heaven, which earned him great acclaim. The performance led to a prestigious Genie Award, which was given out to honor excellence in Canadian film. They eventually merged with the Gemini Awards to become the Canadian Screen Awards.

Ticket to Heaven's success kick-started what is remembered by fans as a landmark decade for Mancuso, as it also spawned his memorable role in the '80s gritty crime drama Stingray. The show starred Mancuso as a mysterious man named Ray who drove a black 1965 Corvette Sting Ray. He offered his services to help those in need, asking nothing in return.

While the show only had two seasons before it was canceled, it became a major hit, greatly influencing the iconic 1980s TV crime drama genre. After Stingray, Mancuso continued to act and build a thriving career for many decades.

Other iconic roles include 1992's Under Siege and its sequel, Rapid Fire, Vows of Deception, and more. He has continued working up and into 2026, with his most recent project being the 2026 horror filmEnvelop.

Jump scare alert! Jesse Solomon took a break from his “Happy to Be Here” tour to surprise a group of Summer House fans by casually showing up at their front door for hugs — and probably to spill a little tea.

Thanks to his partnership with Ring, Jesse shared footage of himself driving to a fan’s house in Austin, Texas. He noted that the fan had a Ring camera installed outside their front door and joked that he hoped they couldn’t see his pimple on camera.

Mission accomplished: the fans were thrilled to find their favorite Summer House star standing at their front door. After hugs and laughter, Jesse said, “Moments like this are what it’s all about. To connect and have fun.”

Jesse later told Parade the experience was the cherry on top of an already amazing tour.

“I got to surprise a fan with this video music thing while I was on the road, it got captured by a Ring camera, and it has the retinal 4k, and we were able to put that content into a video that was going on Instagram. It was a really heartwarming, fun moment, and I was glad I am able to do stuff like that. I'm just grateful that showing up makes people happy sometimes.”

Jesse also took time between shows to visit children in local hospitals and sing for them.

“I never thought that just my presence would give people joy, and that's been like the coolest thing to come out of this whole experience,” he added. “So, I'm just happy to be here, honestly.”

In addition to the sweet fan surprise, Jesse also used Ring to film the music video for his viral hit “Guess I’ll Start.”

“That was a concept I came up with for a social media video shoot, and it was kind of like a ‘gotcha’ moment of me just like singing on the street, doing my thing, and the Ring camera catches you,” he told Parade, adding that he wanted to “do something fun with this.”

“And so, we sang a little music video to the Ring camera, and there are hilarious memes of me in the Ring camera. My friends like to send it back and forth. It's pretty funny.”

Jesse, who studied music business at the University of Miami, said the tour went well and shared how his mother, Sheryl, ended up joining him on stage.

“My mom is the singer in the family. She was a singer-songwriter, and she would perform throughout her life a bit, and I think she's gotten away from it, too,” he shared.

As a gift to his mom, Jesse paid for Sheryl’s vocal lessons so she could get back into singing.

“I thought she would do like a half hour with my voice teacher, and she did like two and a half hours with my voice teacher,” he laughed. “And was like, ‘Hey, here's the invoice.’ I was like, OK, whatever it takes to sing with mom, no big deal, happy Mother's Day.”

The moment became even more special because Jesse’s grandmother attended the performance and got to see her daughter and grandson perform together on stage—except Jesse had one big concern.

“There were like three flights of stairs at the venue with no elevator,” Jesse recalled, sharing that climbing the stairs posed a challenge for his grandmother.

Nevertheless, “she made it up the stairs on her own two feet. It was pretty awesome. I mean, to see your grandson and your daughter sing together must have been awesome for her.”

The Summer House reunion continues with part two on Tuesday, June 2, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

Between threesomes and awkward Grindr hookups, it certainly gives viewers a peek into the sex lives of many gay men. And it's a very steamy peek.

2. Father of the Bride (1991)

One of the greatest comedy duos of the modern era is Martin Short and Steve Martin. And over 30 years ago, they teamed up in a pair of films about a man struggling to accept that his daughter has grown up in Father of the Bride. 

Martin plays the titular dad who plans his daughter’s wedding with the help of his wife (played by Diane Keaton) and a zany wedding planner named Franck (Short), not to be confused with Frank. The sequel, in which mother and daughter are both pregnant, is just as good. The Vatsnik, however, has created a deeply rooted fear of sleeping meds that we can’t shake.

1. Another Round (2020)

The 2021 Oscar for Best International Film went to this Danish dramedy about a group of schoolteachers who decide to start drinking during work. Led by Mads Mikkelsen's Martin, the teachers, experiencing some mid-life malaise, become obsessed with an article that says keeping your blood alcohol content at 0.05% leads to a better life.

The four teachers begin swigging alcohol between classes to keep the buzz, and the adventures go from there. Thomas Vinterberg was nominated for Best Director for the film, and its closing scene is one of the most memorable.

In The Breadwinner—the new family comedy hitting theaters this Friday, May 29—Mandy Moore and Nate Bargatzeplay Katie and Nate Wilcox, a married couple raising three young daughters. But when Katie lands a once-in-a-lifetime deal on Shark Tank that sends her off on an international business trip, Nate suddenly finds himself flying solo as he adjusts from car salesman and breadwinner to stay-at-home dad. Naturally, chaos and hilarity ensue.

Gracie (Stella Grace Fitzgerald), Hadley (Birdie Borria) and Sam (Charlotte Ann Tucker) play their onscreen children, and Moore and Bargatze are parents in real life, too. So when we sat down for an interview with the pair, we had to ask for their hot takes on hot topics in the parenting space. From smartphones to social media, read on for our exclusive interview. First, we had to ask the age-old question every Millennial parent dreads: How old should a kid be before getting their first phone? Moore did not hesitate: "Never!"

Bargatze—who has a 13-year-old daughter—laughed and offered a more realistic answer. "I think our daughter was 13," he told Parade. "She has no social media, none of that stuff. We're getting pounded about that—she wants us to give it to her. We're not going to. It's not at least till 16, and then we can see."

But Bargatze's real hot take wasn't about the age—it was about the fact that parents need to stop going it alone.

"Phones are tough," he added. "Parents need to align, and we all need to agree on an age of all this. 'Cause it's like someone gives a six-year-old a phone, and then you just start getting crushed."

In the meantime, Bargatze dropped a brilliant workaround that any parent of a tween should steal immediately. "We did Apple Watch at first, which is another little trick where you could do like cellular Apple Watch," he explained. "And then they don't have a ton of access to apps or anything." Moore finished his thought, adding, "You're able to get in touch with them!"

Then our conversation turned to fashion, specifically whether kids should be allowed to pick their own outfits. Bargatze had a layered answer that any parent of a tween or teen will appreciate. "Yeah, I think so," he said. "I mean, to a certain age. When my daughter was little, I loved when she wore just complete chaos."

"Yeah of course!" added Mandy.

But for Bargatze, the teen years are a different story. "She's now 13," he said of his daughter. "I would like some heads up of what's going on," Bargatze said, recalling a recent debate over a swimsuit. "I'd rather [she] wear a blanket, but you know, she's got to get in the pool."

The dad-of-a-teen energy is real—and so is the love. Catch Moore and Bargatze bringing that same chemistry to the big screen when The Breadwinner hits theaters Friday, May 29.

Imagine AC/DC listening to one of their own songs and saying: "That's too poppy for us."

It actually sounds like a joke because when has AC/DC ever been considered pop? It wasn't and it never has been.

In 1979, while finishing what would become one of the greatest rock albums of all time AC/DC almost cut a track called "Touch Too Much." They didn't like it. It felt out of character for the album — too slow, too easy on the ears, too different from everything else they stood for. They wanted it gone from the album.

Their producer had other ideas.

The Song That Almost Didn't Make It

Mutt Lange was a very unusual choice for AC/DC. The man had built his name working with Foreigner — a polished, radio-friendly sound that had nothing to do with what AC/DC was about. The band wasn't interested in being polished. They were a live band first, a recording band second. That special something that made them AC/DC wasn’t something that could be manufactured in a studio.

But Lange wasn't trying to change them or what they were about. He just wanted to make them sound like the best possible version of themselves.

What he didn't expect was having to fight to keep a song on the record.

"Touch Too Much" sat differently from everything else on Highway to Hell. The rest of the album came at you intensely hard and fast. This one slowed down, leaned back, let itself breathe. It was bluesy and mid-tempo — closer to the band's early sound than anything else on the record. And that made AC/DC uncomfortable.

‘Too poppy’, they said. Cut it.

Lange begged them to keep it.

In the end, he was right.

Joe Elliott, the frontman of Def Leppard and someone who studied AC/DC the way young musicians study the bands that shape them, had no reservations about the song.

"It's funny because as Mutt said to me later, AC/DC couldn't stand 'Touch Too Much,'" Elliott said. "They thought it was too poppy, but I thought it was the best song on the album."

The best song. On Highway to Hell.

What the Band Couldn't See

Looking back now, "Touch Too Much" was telling the world something the band wasn't ready to hear.

The Bon Scott era ran on chaos and personality. Scott was one of a kind — a frontman who made every single song feel like a chaotic party that might get out of hand at any moment. "Touch Too Much" had all of that, but there was something underneath it. A hint of a melody. A little more structure. A song that could work just as well on the radio as it did at full volume.

Just one album later, after Scott's death, AC/DC released "You Shook Me All Night Long" — a song built almost completely around the kind of hooks they'd just refused to embrace.

"Touch Too Much" was the quiet beginning of that shift, even if nobody recognised or wanted it at the time.

That's exactly what makes this story worth telling. A band at the top of their game nearly erased the evidence that they were growing. Mutt Lange knew it. Joe Elliott heard it.

AC/DC just needed a little convincing.

For someone who has won more Emmy Awards than almost any actor in television history, Julia Louis-Dreyfus has managed to leave one significant stage unclaimed. That changes this fall.

The Seinfeldand Veepstar announced on Tuesday that she will make her Broadway debut in the first revival of Jon Robin Baitz's Tony Award-winning family drama Other Desert Cities, opening October 18 at the Hudson Theatre. It marks the first time Louis-Dreyfus has appeared on a Broadway stage in a career stretching back to her Saturday Night Live debut in 1982.

The cast assembled around her sounds like an awards-season wish list. Ed Harris, Allison Janney, Lily Rabe, and Joe Keery (known to millions as Steve Harrington on Stranger Things) round out the production. Both Louis-Dreyfus and Keery will be making their Broadway debuts in the same show. Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey will direct. Previews begin September 29, with the limited engagement running through January 17, 2027.

Other Desert Cities is set on Christmas Eve in Palm Springs, where a politically connected family is upended when their daughter arrives home with plans to publish a memoir exposing a decades-old family secret. Louis-Dreyfus plays Polly, the family's matriarch, a role built for an actress who spent years perfecting the art of holding a scene together while everything around her unravels.

Louis-Dreyfus has won 11 Emmy Awards across three separate comedy series, a record that remains unmatched in the Academy's history. Her run as Selina Meyer on Veep earned her six consecutive wins alone. Since Veep ended in 2019, she has stayed largely away from television, returning only for smaller projects while developing an Apple TV+ series and producing the animated filmThe Sheep Detectives.

The play has the kind of heritage that attracts a certain caliber of performer. It was a Pulitzer Prize finalist when it first ran on Broadway in 2011, and critics praised it for the precision with which it mapped American family dysfunction against larger political divisions, subject matter that sits differently in 2026 than it did fifteen years ago.

For fans of Seinfeld and Veep, the announcement carries its own specific attraction. Louis-Dreyfus has spent decades playing characters perpetually, brilliantly navigating chaos of their own making. Watching her do that live (eight shows a week, no safety net of editing or retakes) is something genuinely new.

What’s this, what’s this? It’s Danny Elfman’s birthday! The iconic composer, singer, songwriter, and movie music legend turns 73 today. So, of course, a closer look at his unlikely musical journey -- and a deeper dive into that incredible 2022Coachella performance -- feels only fitting.

Long before his scores defined modern film and television, Elfman’s musical journey began in a far more unexpected place: a musical troupe in Paris.

According to IMDb, the initial goal of the Mystic Knights of Oingo Boingo was to score his brother's directorial debut, Forbidden Zone (1980). In 1979, they abbreviated their name to just Oingo Boingo and gave their new-wave band the old college try, producing a couple of fun bangers: “Weird Science,” which was used in the same-name cult John Hughes classic, and “Dead Man’s Party.”

In 1995, following a massive, five-show farewell concert that culminated with a Halloween blowout at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, the group called it quits. And then, Hollywood came calling.

A fan of Oingo Boingo, master of the macabre Tim Burton formed a friendship with the musician. In 1985, he asked Elfman to score the soundtrack for his wacky adventure flick Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, marking the beginning of what would become an iconic director-composer relationship. 

A whiz at blending dark, whimsical, and Gothic themes perfectly suited to Burton’s visionary style, Elfman has scored almost all of the auteur's films, from the Batman, Beetlejuice, and Edward Scissorhands, to The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, and Big Fish. Their most recent collaboration was Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the long-awaited sequel to Burton’s bio-exercism classic.  

Outside Burton’s orbit, Elfman has worked with the biggest of big in Hollywood, including Sam Raimi, Peter Jackson, Gus Van Sant, Ang Lee, Guillermo del Toro, and David O. Russell, His talent knows no bounds, as his original scores transcend genres; he even scored the Fifty Shades trilogy. The film projects have led to four Oscar nominations, for Milk, Big Fish, Men in Black, and Good Will Hunting. 

On the small screen, his credits include Wednesday, The Simpsons, and the forthcoming Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the highly anticipated spinoff from The Big Bang Theory. These projects have netted him several Emmy Awards, the most recent courtesy of the creepy-cute, cello-driven theme song for Netflix’s Wednesday.

Besides scoring some of the greatest entertainment any-size screen has to offer, Elfman still performs, taking to the stage in 2022 for Coachella and rocking a seriously impressive buff physique at 69 (according to GQ, the man is also a "gym rat"). Most recently, Elfman performed at Sick New World, a massive, one-day heavy metal and alternative music festival.

Hosted by Romesh Ranganathan, the show pits two separate teams against each other in a series of increasingly ridiculous dilemmas. Every decision they make has consequences, including what gets eaten and who goes home. In the end, though, only one individual will be crowned champion.

4. “See You at Work Tomorrow!”

This upcoming Korean series follows a seventh-year product planner who swears she’ll never date again after a painful breakup. However, her plans are upended when Kang Si-woo, one of her company’s team leaders, enters the scene. The show is based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name, and was directed by Cho Eun-sol. It stars Seo In-guk and Park Ji-hyun.

3. “The Legend of Vox Machina” (Season 4)

Based on the Dungeons and Dragons actual-play web series Critical Role, the adult animated fantasy The Legend of Vox Machina returns to Prime on June 3, 2026, picking up where the ragtag, seven-member Vox Machina team left off in Season 3 in their attempts to defend the realm of Exandria. The series features the voice-acting talents of Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer and more.

Every Year After is an adaptation of the novel Every Summer After by Carley Fortune. This new romantic drama debuting on Prime is expected to follow the same events, namely, that of Persephone Fraser and Sam Florek’s childhood friends-to-lovers relationship after Sam’s mother passes away. The series stars Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett and was produced by Amy B. Harris of Sex and the City.
