As Season 3 of Euphoria comes to a dramatic end,Sydney Sweeneyis seemingly clapping back at critics. The star, whose character Cassie had a risque OnlyFans storyline, recently made a statement separating fact from fiction and TV from reality.

While the show’s fans not-so-patiently waited for the season finale to air, Sweeney posted (on Instagram) a carousel of pics featuring some of Cassie’s best and even better moments, along with a few behind-the-scenes photos with the cast. But that’s not all. She also added the caption, “It’s called…acting,” countering criticism of her graphic scenes. 

Fans, friends, and fellow actors flooded the post, praising the celeb for iconic moments through the third season. Co-star Maude Apatow (who plays Sweeney’s Euphoriasister Lexi Howard) added a simple heart, actress Sara Sampaio wrote, “Carrying the season,” and Page Kennedy added, “And you do that very well.” 

Of course, no social media post is completely devoid of controversy. At least, when it comes to a major celeb like Sweeney. One commenter responded to Kennedy’s comment with, “I can’t tell if you're being sarcastic.” Kennedy replied, “Man I have watched every movie and show she’s done. She has RANGE!!!! I’ve watched her be a slut. A boxer, speak old English. She’s fantastic.”

The post that was meant to end the controversy seemed to have sparked even more, with another commenter writing, “Really isn’t good, Euphoria is just sex - she’s literally created her own lingerie brand.” Sweeney’s supporters came to her rescue — not that she needs it; the actress can clearly speak for herself. Comments poured in, with one fan writing, “Acted so good people are hating,” and another calling her “the best actor of the season.” 

Sweeney’s social media followers aren't the only ones gushing about her acting chops. The actress’s beau, music executive Scooter Braun, publicly praised Sweeney while appearing on the “Second Thought with Suzy Weiss and The Free Press” podcast, saying, “I’ve met an extraordinary woman. Who’s kind and generous and smart and real and down to earth and one of the biggest surprises ever.” 

Weiss goes on to ask about Euphoria, and no surprise here, Braun responds, “I’m biased, I like it. I think there’s been an incredible performance by a certain actress.”

Things were definitely looking rough for Rue going into the Euphoria Season 3 finale, prompting fans to fear the worst for Zendaya's character. But does Rue die in Episode 8?

On Sunday, May 31, the series finale of the popular HBO series aired, officially marking the end of an era. Let's take a look at her fate, as well as where everyone else ended up.

At the end of Season 3, Episode 7, Faye (Chloe Cherry) screamed for Wayne (Toby Wallace) after she helped Rue open the safe, only to discover there was no money inside, just the IDs of the women at the Silver Slipper strip club. Wayne already told Faye that he wanted to kill Rue, so she seemed as good as toast at the moment—and then the episode ended on a cliffhanger.

Additionally, Maddy (Alexa Demie) unknowingly tipped off Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) to Rue working with the DEA to take him and Laurie (Martha Kelly) down. So if she survived Wayne, she would still have Alamo to answer to.

The show hinted at Rue's death in other ways, too. Like when she compared herself to Moses and the burning bush after lightning caught the Joshua tree on fire. She told Ali (Colman Domingo) about the seemingly divine moment during their "Last Supper"-esque pancake dinner. In response, Ali pointed out, "I figure it’s worth mentioning that Moses doesn’t make it to the Promised Land." Plus, the backstory on Ali revealed that he has a book where he writes the names of all the sponsees who have died. Would Rue's name be next?

Somehow, Rue escaped Wayne's fit of rage, only to be literally lassoed down by a man on horseback and dragged on the ground for a significant distance. G. (Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch) saved Rue by shooting the cowboy and driving off with her.

When Rue finally made it back to Alamo, he rewarded her for a job well done by giving her some time off. The DEA bust was a bust, as Alamo and Bishop (Darrell Britt-Gibson) outsmarted everyone and hid the drugs in a different van. Meanwhile, Laurie offed herself when the DEA surrounded her place.

Back at Ali's place, Rue took the pills that Alamo gave her. She seemingly hallucinated Fezco (played by late Angus Cloud) escaping from prison and her speeding around to search for him. Rue then seemingly ended up back at her mother's place, where she emotionally reached for her—but in reality, she was gasping for air and taking her last breaths. Ali found her the next morning, dead on his couch. He then tested the pills, and they were positive for fentanyl. Ali added Rue's name to his book.

Ultimately, Ali avenged Rue by shooting Alamo at the strip club. (Thanks to Bishop emptying Alamo's gun of its bullets.) He then visited the Miller family, whom Rue met in Episode 1. After leading a prayer before eating a meal together, Ali saw Rue, who smiled at him, sitting in an empty chair at the end of the table.

Euphoria Seasons 1 to 3 are now streaming on HBO Max.

Eddie Murphy was honored in a new Netflix special, The 51st AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Eddie Murphy, on May 31, and the event included a rare appearance by comedy legend Mel Brooks!

The 99-year-old Blazing Saddles writer and director named Murphy as one of the modern kings of comedy in a prerecorded message shown at the event, which was taped in April.

“Before you were born, even before I was born, the movies were born," said the Young Frankenstein creator in his heartfelt speech. "One of the great gifts they gave us, perhaps the greatest gift, was laughter. In its earliest days, there were kings of comedy: Chaplin, Keaton, Lloyd."

"Some have talents that burst beyond the screen and onto the stage," he continued. "They create characters that have us look inside ourselves. And there are some, very few, that did it all. But, tonight, beyond the echo of laughter, we honor a man full of greater surprises, and one who broke barriers to drive culture forward.”

The father of 10 joins the likes of many artistic geniuses who have won the award in the past, including Francis Ford Coppola,Julie Andrews, Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington, and Brooks himself, who was honored in 2013. This is the first time the event has been available to stream on Netflix.

Murphy’s rise to fame began in the late 1970s as a teenage stand-up comedian, but his career exploded after he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1980 at just 19 years old. Murphy successfully transitioned from TV to film with blockbuster hits like 48 Hrs., Trading Places, and Beverly Hills Cop.

Over the decades, Murphy has built one of the most successful careers in entertainment history, starring in beloved films like Coming to America, The Nutty Professor, Dreamgirls, and the Shrek franchise, in which he voiced Donkey.

Heather McComb, the first wife of late actor James Van Der Beek, married her longtime love, Scott Michael Campbell.

The actress, 49, shared a series of photos from her special day to social media on Sunday, May 31.

"Yesterday @scottmichaelcampbell and I under the covenant of God got officially married by my beautiful sister @essence_says [surrounded] by the people we love most in the world in our most favorite city Missoula, Montana," she captioned her photo dump. "Our hearts are full and humbled by all of the love that we were surrounded by. God is so good. Thank you to all of our family and friends who traveled from all over the country to be with us. Thank you Jesus the way maker miracle worker!"

The Party of Five star was married to the Dawson's Creek alum from July 2003 until March 2010.

Following his death in February, following a battle with colorectal cancer, McComb shared a touching tribute.

"I am heartbroken over the loss of beloved James," she wrote. "I am especially heartbroken for his incredible wife Kimberly, his beautiful children and his amazing family, Jim, Jared, Juliana and all of his family and friends who I know he loved deeply. This picture is from my 21st birthday. Dawson's Creek hadn’t even aired yet. This is how I will always see James —innocent, kind and pure of heart."

She continued, "What a journey we shared over the years. I sit here in immense gratitude for the special connection, friendship and love that James and I shared that has endured through decades. I will treasure the last loving words we exchanged."

Seven years after the most recent Toy Story movie, Toy Story 4, Disney and Pixar are ready to bring Woody and Buzz Lightyear back together again—but many fans are currently obsessing over one aspect of the movie in particular: Taylor Swift's rumored involvement.

Toy Story 5is just around the corner, with a release date of June 19. The trailer for Toy Story 5 reveals that the upcoming movie will center on a brand-new obstacle for the toys, this one touching upon the modern day, real life concerns around technology and screen time for kids.

Bonnie, who continues to be the owner of Andy's former toys (minus Woody and Bo Peep, who are currently off on their own) after Andy's departure for college in Toy Story 3, is going to receive a tablet named Lilypad. As is true for many kids today, this will seemingly mean Bonnie spending much less time with her toys and much more time looking at screens.

What the trailer doesn't include is a Taylor Swift song or any other Swift reference, but that hasn't stopped the rumor mill. In fact, the internet is currently full of videos, posts and speculation about what Swift's involvement could be, with most predicting she will have a new song played during the credits.

These theories began after a mysterious countdown reportedly briefly appeared on Swift's website, although it was apparently taken down very soon after it first appeared. That alone had the internet abuzz, but Swift has recently done a number of other things that have fans convinced she's involved in some way with Toy Story 5.

Among the other alleged clues are the fact that Swift appeared donning a striped blue and white dress and holding a yellow purse, matching the color palette of Toy Story, and the change to some cover images of her album 1989, including the cover image for 1989 (Taylor's Version) on Apple Music, which now show clouds rather than seagulls—another parallel to Toy Story imagery.

Luckily, fans of Toy Story and/or Swift don't have much longer to wait, with just over two weeks until the brand-new installment in the decades-long Toy Story franchise hits theaters.

In 1976, Rush took an enormous creative gamble by releasing a song that lasted more than 20 minutes. And, that gamble changed everything.

"2112," the sprawling title suite from the album 2112, became the breakthrough anthem that transformed Rush from a struggling hard rock band into one of the most influential groups in progressive rock history. At the time, the band's future was uncertain.

Following the commercial disappointment of their previous album, Caress of Steel, record executives pressured Rush to pursue a more radio-friendly direction. Instead, guitarist Alex Lifeson, bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee, and drummer and lyricist Neil Peart doubled down on their artistic instincts.

"It really was, either we go home, and I go work for my dad as a plumbing assistant, or we just say screw everybody, we're just going to make the record that we want to make, and if it fails, then at least it's our thing, we did it," Lifeson told Guitar World.

The result was "2112," a side-long suite, which Lifeson calls his "protest record," stretching more than 20 minutes that occupied the entire first side of the original vinyl album.

Set in a dystopian future, the song tells the story of an individual who discovers a guitar in a society controlled by authoritarian rulers known as the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx. The ambitious narrative drew inspiration from science fiction and philosophical themes while showcasing the band's growing musical sophistication.

Musically, "2112" blended heavy riffs, complex arrangements, extended instrumental passages and dramatic storytelling into something unlike virtually anything on mainstream rock radio. The suite's powerful opening guitar figure quickly became one of Rush's most recognizable musical moments.

"It begins with the Overture, which – despite being the first thing you hear – was the last piece to be written, much like with any classical overture," Lee told Music Radar. "We wanted to take the most important musical threads from each of the subsequent parts to create a 'new' piece of music that would represent the album as a whole. So that's where it all starts."

Although the song was far too long for conventional radio play, portions of it received significant airplay on album-oriented rock stations, helping the album gain momentum among dedicated rock fans.

The success of 2112 ultimately saved Rush's recording career and established the creative blueprint they would follow throughout much of the next decade. The album's popularity also paved the way for future classics such as "Tom Sawyer," "Limelight" and "The Spirit of Radio."

Over the years, "2112" has become one of the most celebrated long-form compositions in rock history and a touchstone for progressive rock fans around the world. Its influence can be heard across generations of musicians who embraced ambitious songwriting and concept-driven albums.

Nearly 50 years later, "2112" remains a remarkable achievement, a 20-minute power anthem that not only launched Rush to stardom but proved that artistic risk can sometimes become a band's greatest strength.

Rock fans new and old know the song "Hungry Like the Wolf" from Duran Duran. First released in 1982 on the album Rio, the group's second studio album, it had a slow rise to popularity. But once fans started to listen to it, they couldn't stop.

"Hungry Like the Wolf" remains one of the English rock band's biggest hits, and despite never topping the music charts, it is a true rock classic. The song also has an interesting origin story.

Keyboardist Nick Rhodes recalled in a BBC program that he and singer Simon Le Bon went out the night before writing the song. They got major hangovers, leaving them "feeling guilty about it," so they headed into the studio to get some musical work done. They started experimenting with some beats, and by the end of the day, as the rest of Duran Duran arrived at the studio and added their own parts, "Hungry Like the Wolf" was born.

Although the beat and instrumental work on the song are certainly important and memorable, some fans really love the unique lyrics, which are from the point of view of someone "on the hunt" for a woman. One part says, "I howl and I whine, I'm after you/ Mouth is alive, all running inside/ And I'm hungry like the wolf."

According to a feature in Blender magazine from 2002, the lyrics were actually inspired by the classic children's story of Little Red Riding Hood, which is about a little girl being hunted by a wolf in the woods. Talking about Le Bon's work on the lyrics and melody for the song, guitarist Andy Taylor said, "He has a great ear for putting a melody to a bunch of chords. I didn’t realize it at the time, but his inspiration for that lyric was Little Red Riding Hood!”

"Hungry Like the Wolf" quickly found success for Duran Duran in the U.K., peaking at No. 5 on the Official Singles Chart. But in the U.S., the recognition took a while. It was only thanks to MTV playing the music video that the band finally broke out in North America and internationally as the song got more and more attention. It ended up reaching the third spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but it never took the top spot.

Despite never reaching No. 1, Duran Duran's "Hungry Like the Wolf" remains a new wave classic that is timeless for rock fans.

If you’ve recently purchased frozen pizza from stores like Costco, Target, Walmart, Kroger, or Publix, you may want to check your freezer. 

Costco issued a recall letter on May 30 to Costco members who may have purchased Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread between February 6 and May 29 to inform them that Champion Foods LLC, the company behind the popular frozen pizza product, is voluntarily recalling certain batches “because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.”

A recall notice published by Champion Foods LLC notes that “this action follows a California Dairies, Inc. milk powder recall due to a concern of potential Salmonella contamination. The recalled milk powder was supplied to a third-party manufacturer that provides a seasoning blend used in our 5-cheese sauce blend.” 

The notice from Champion Foods LLC also states, “To date, neither Champion Foods LLC nor our suppliers have received any reports of illness or injury related to these products. Routine testing conducted by the seasonings blend manufacturer prior to use in the production of the 5 Cheese Bread showed that the seasonings batches tested negative for Salmonella; however, we are taking action out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our customers.”

A social media user went viral on May 31 after posting a photo of notched wooden logs on X and writing, "Despite widespread efforts online, no one has been able to identify what these are. I’m completely stumped — and it seems like most others are too. Does anyone else remember these from childhood?" Commenters quickly recognized the nostalgic toy as Lincoln Logs, and began sharing their thoughts.

"Yes! They are Lincoln Logs. You could build different types of log cabins with them," said one excited follower, while another added, "They came in a tall round canister! LOVED THEM!" A third reminisced on their childhood, writing, "As a future architect, these really sparked my interest as a boy."

The iconic construction toys were first invented around 1916 by architect and toy designer John Lloyd Wright, the son of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and were inspired by Wright's design of Tokyo’s Imperial Hotel.

The building used interlocking beams to help it withstand earthquakes, and John decided to make a toy of similarly notched wooden logs that were stackable for kids to play with. He began marketing the toy in 1918 through his Red Square Toy Company, and received a patent for the design in 1920.

Lincoln Logs (sometimes incorrectly called "Linking Logs") were actually named after American president Abraham Lincoln, who famously lived in a log cabin. The original sets even included instructions for building Lincoln’s childhood cabin!

The toy remained popular through the decades, benefiting from television advertising in the 1950s and becoming a staple of American childhood. More than 100 million sets have been sold worldwide to date, and Lincoln Logs were officially inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in Rochester, New York, in 1999.

The beloved toy is still available today, although the future of them became uncertain in early 2026 when Pride Manufacturing, a Maine-based contract manufacturer for Basic Fun, who has a licensing agreement with Hasbro, announced its plans to close. The company was previously making as many as 30 million Lincoln Logs a year.

Chief Basic Fun executive Jay Foreman told the New York Post he was "desperately looking for a vendor [in the U.S.] that manufactures custom wood parts," to avoid having to outsource the product overseas. He said if that happened, customers would likely have to pay 10% more to account for tariffs and shipping costs.

“We are hoping that someone will purchase the factory or buy the equipment," he said. "But we are not counting on it for this year.”

Fifty-six years ago today, a catchy rock song that almost became someone else's hit climbed all the way to No. 1.

"Yellow River" by Christie reached the top of the U.K. charts in 1970, becoming one of the biggest British rock hits of the era.

What makes the song's success particularly notable is that it was originally written for another band entirely.

Songwriter Jeff Christie initially penned "Yellow River" with fellow British hitmakers The Tremeloes in mind. In fact, The Tremeloes recorded a version of the song and considered releasing it as a single. However, the group ultimately decided to move in a different direction and passed on the track.

"I wrote 'Yellow River' alone in the lounge of my folks' house in Leeds in early 1969 when a Mac was something you wore to keep the rain off!" Christie told Songwriting Magazine. "The actual writing process was first on a piano using a rolling effect by alternating left-hand octave bass notes with right-hand chord work. Afterwards, I tried it out on the guitar to see if the 'feel' would coincide with the piano effect which it did nicely and helped that rolling feel that I was after."

Rather than letting the song disappear, Jeff Christie recorded it himself with a newly assembled band that would eventually take his surname as its name. The gamble paid off almost immediately.

Built around bright harmonies, an infectious melody and a singalong chorus, "Yellow River" quickly connected with listeners and became an international sensation. The song reached No. 1 and helped establish Christie as one of the biggest new acts of 1970.

Lyrically, the song tells the story of a soldier returning home and looking forward to leaving hardship behind. Its upbeat sound contrasted with some of the heavier rock music emerging at the time, helping it stand out on radio playlists. The track also arrived during a fascinating period in rock history, when melodic pop-rock songs still regularly competed with the growing influence of hard rock and progressive rock.

For Christie, "Yellow River" became by far the band's signature recording and remains the song most closely associated with its career. Although the group never matched the success of its breakthrough hit, "Yellow River" continued to enjoy a long afterlife through oldies radio, compilation albums and nostalgic playlists.

Its backstory has only added to its legacy.

Few songs can claim they were rejected by one successful band before becoming a No. 1 hit for another.

"If somebody had told me when I wrote it that 50 years from then I'd be driving along, I would turn the radio on, and then I'd hear by song playing, I would have been like, 'Oh, come on!'" Christie told The Shortlisted. "But that's what happens, and it's fantastic, it's just wonderful; somehow it doesn't stop and that river keeps on rollin'."

More than half a century later, "Yellow River" remains a reminder that sometimes the songs artists pass on can become some of the biggest hits of all.

Given the timing of when both music artists shot to stardom years ago, it made sense that Kid Cudi was taking M.I.A. on tour with him as opener.

However, all that fell apart earlier this month when the Grammy-winning rapper, 42, announced that he fired the British singer, 50, from his tour following "offensive remarks" at a recent gig.

And now, M.I.A. (born Mathangi Arulpragasam) is suing Cudi (born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi) for $2.8 million, claiming the firing breached her contract with Live Nation, which guaranteed her “full creative control” of her performance, Rolling Stone reports.

“M.I.A. was terminated to generate publicity for the Tour, which has struggled with ticket sales,” the complaint filed on Friday, May 29 alleges, per the magazine. “She was contractually allowed to say whatever she wanted on stage. M.I.A. now holds Kid Cudi accountable for his bad faith destruction of her contractual rights, business opportunities, and reputation.”

In the complaint filed in the U.S. Court District of California Western Division, obtained by Rolling Stone, the "Paper Planes" singer claims that the "Pursuit of Happiness" rapper knew her political beliefs and reputation before he asked her to open the Live Nation-produced Rebel Rangers Tour.

It was less than a week into the tour that Cudi fired one of his supporting acts. M.I.A. was kicked off the tour on May 4 after videos of onstage political rants went viral days earlier.

Among the statements she made onstage were, “I’ve been canceled for many reasons. I never thought I would be canceled for being a brown Republican voter... I can’t do [my song] ‘Illegal,’ though some of you could be in the audience.”

“M.I.A is no longer on this tour,” Cudi then shared on Instagram following fan backlash. “I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood. After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants.”

The couple are not the only people to wed at Marylebone registry office, having previously hosted the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Oasis' Liam Gallagher.

According to The Sun, Lipa and Turner will have a lavish Italian ceremony on Thursday. “They have rented out multiple huge venues for the multi-event extravaganza,” a source told the publication, with rumoured guests including Charli XCX and Sir Elton John.

The pair were first linked at the start of 2024 and became engaged later that year. Speaking to The Sunday Times, Callum explained the romantic circumstance under which the pair met: "We sat next to each other and realised we were reading the same book, which is crazy. It's called Trust, and I had just finished the first chapter, and I told her, and she looked at me and said, 'I just finished the first chapter too.' I said, 'So we're on the same page.'"

"In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I'm like, I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don't worry. And that was really the first [moment]," he joked to the paper.

Keith Urban is dipping his toe into '70s soft rock, and fans are loving it.

Despite the 1972 soft-rock anthem being an unexpected cover for the country music star, fans have embraced Urban's take on the beloved classic.

After four years off our screens, Euphoria returned for a highly anticipated Season 3. And it was the most extreme season of the hit HBO drama to date, as the once-teenaged protagonist left school and got a harsh dose of reality about what the real world has to offer. Both star Zendaya and creator Sam Levinson have said that Euphoria will reach its ultimate conclusion on May 31. But, considering shows like Ted Lasso suddenly resurrecting for unplanned fourth seasons, it leaves the door open for a possible "Rue-turn" in the future!

Here's everything to know about a possible Euphoria Season 4.

Right now, there are absolutely no plans for a Season 4 of Euphoria. Creator Sam Levinson told Variety at the Season 3 premiere, "[I write] every season like it’s the last season. [I have] no plans [for Season 4].”

Zendaya gave a similar statement during her own promotion. While appearing on the Drew Barrymore Show, she was asked if Euphoria would conclude with Season 3, to which she responded, "I think so, yeah." The Emmy winner even hinted, "That closure is coming."

Interestingly, however, HBO has only promoted the upcoming Season 3 ending as a season finale, rather than a series finale. Additionally, we have not seen any farewells from the show's stars to their characters/the show. The only person who has done so is Jacob Elordi, whose character died in the penultimate episode of Season 3. Perhaps, while the finale features prominent closure, HBO is keeping the door open in case Levinson changes his mind?

There is no confirmed Season 4 of Euphoria, so no release date is in the cards.

Of course, there's no guarantee of who would be locked in for a possible Euphoria Season 4. The lengthy hiatus before Season 3 saw the departure of many mainstays, including Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, and Storm Reid. It would not be a surprise at all if someone like Zendaya or Sydney Sweeney, who have blossomed into prodigous movie stars since Euphoria began, wouldn't be able to come back for another season.

It's safe to say Jacob Elordi won't be showing up on Euphoria again anytime soon, outside of a flashback or perhaps a drug-induced hallucination. Nate was killed in the penultimate episode of Season 3, succumbing to a fatal snake bite after being buried alive by Naz.

On a sadder note, there are a couple of characters we know we won't see on Euphoria again due to the actors' passing away off-screen. That list includes Angus Cloud (Fez) and Eric Dane (Cal).

Love Island USA is back this week, and before the show’s premiere, the official social media account is giving viewers their first look at some of the contestants, including Love Island USA legacy Zach Georgiou.

Georgiou, 26, is from Birmingham, UK, whose neon sign would read “Anyone Welcome.”

He is the brother of Charlie Georgiou, a contestant on Love Island USA Season 7 and Love Island Games Season 2.

“I'm here to see if I can do better than him and find love,” he joked.

Charlie took to the comments to excitedly write, “THAT'S MY BROTHER 🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥.”

Zach Georgiou describes himself as a natural introvert and a big nerd. “I love superheroes, anything, comics,” he shared. He also added he didn’t need a nerdy girl himself, but “That’d be ideal because then we could nerd out about things.”

He went on to explain he is very in touch with his emotions and not afraid to cry, especially when watching a movie. “Give me an old person talking about their dead wife; I'm crying.”

Georgiou admits he is quick to love bomb. “I will tell you I love you straight away,” he shared. “I don't wanna waste time.” Going so far as to share that he’s said it in a first conversation.

He then wrapped up the video, explaining how he’s looking for a “dominant woman,” especially in the bedroom. “I’m a pillow prince,” he jokingly adds.

In the previously released Get to Know the Cast video, Georgiou admits that his partner also has to love cats. “My girlfriend needs to love my cat, or else she's out the door, 100%.”

Fans have already begun fan-casting who they would like to see Georgiou with in the villa. One user wrote on Instagram, “Hear me out now… he and Aniya are either going to be good friends in the villa or a perfect match because their personalities seem so well suited.”

Viewers will have to stay tuned to see who Georgiou is paired with when Love Island USA begins June 2, 2026, streaming exclusively on Peacock.

Joe Negri, famous for his role as Handyman Negri on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood over four decades, died on Saturday, May 30, at 99 years old, according to Trib Live. The actor and musician was just days away from his 100th birthday, which would have been on June 10.

Negri's oldest daughter, Lisa Negri, shared the news with the outlet, saying that her father died of natural causes as they were preparing for a centennial birthday celebration with friends and family. Fred Rogers Productions confirmed the news to KDKA-TV on May 31.

Negri, who owned Negri’s Music Shop in Rogers' "real" neighborhood, also voiced several other characters in the Land of Make-Believe in the beloved children's TV show from 1968 to 2001, including Father Elephant, Joe Bull, Papa Bear, Storyteller, The Wind, and W.I. Norton Donovan. He appeared in 332 episodes.

Negri's career in TV was mostly limited to Mr. Rogers, save for a few gigs in the music department as a musician or arranger. That's because his first love was music and jazz guitar.

The Pittsburgh native began playing music at just 8 years old, and he became a nationally touring swing musician as a teenager. In Pennsylvania, Negri was a musician, educator, and TV performer. He also served as an adjunct professor of Jazz Guitar at Duquesne University and University of Pittsburgh

Negri nearly skipped out on the role that made him famous, reflecting on how Fred Rogersoriginally convinced him to do the show in a previous interview.

"I got a call and he said, 'Hey Joe, how would you like to come on my new show and be the handyman?'" he recalled to WQED Pittsburgh in 2018. "I said, 'Oh Fred, you're kidding! I'm not a handyman at all! I don't even know how to nail a nail straight!' He said, 'Don't worry about a thing, it's just gonna be pretend. And it was pretend and it was wonderful and it lasted for 35 years!"

Later, Negri became the owner of the fictional Negri Music Shop in the show, which let his true passion shine. "I'm glad he gave me the music shop because it gave me a really good opportunity to utilize my music," he shared with KDKA-TV.

The music shop also gave him the opportunity to meet some music legends. He got to perform on the show with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, Johnny Costa, and even Yo-Yo Ma. In 2019, Negri was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement in the Arts award from the state of Pennsylvania for his dedication to the community.

“It’s been a great life,” Negri told The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette of his legacy in 2018. “I’ve really enjoyed teaching and am very proud to be one of the originals to bring jazz guitar into schools.”

No song so viscerally captures that energy like The Lovin’ Spoonful’s “Summer in the City.” From its opening lyrics — “Hot town, summer in the city / Back of my neck gettin’ dirty and gritty” — it catapults you straight into the pulse and energy of a classic city summer in motion.

Released as a single in July 1966 and included as the closing track on the band’s third studio album, Hums of the Lovin’ Spoonful, the song was a smash hit. Hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in August, it stayed at the top for three consecutive weeks.

Part of what made the track stand out was its unique, groundbreaking production, particularly its bridge, which transforms real city sounds like car horns and jackhammers into musical textures. “Summer in the City” was the first major song to do this, inspiring subsequent hits like “Expressway (To Your Heart)” by Soul Survivors.

“You can practically smell the city in the Lovin' Spoonful's No. 1 hit from summer 1966,” Ultimate Classic Rock writes about the song the outlet recently named the second-best rock song of summer. “From the honking horns to the busy, sweaty pace at which the song travels, ‘Summer in the City’ sounds like both a celebration and a lament.”

At the time, the nation was in a state of unrest, marked by riots, protests, and a brutal heat wave. In New York City’s Greenwich Village, where the band was formed, The Lovin’ Spoonful were channeling that energy into a defining summer anthem (although according to The New York Times, the song was written in a colder-temped March). 

Co-written by lead singer John Sebastian and bassist Steve Boone, who contributed the interlude, the song also drew inspiration from non-group member Mark Sebastian, John’s younger brother, whose poem, penned at age 14, helped shape the track’s lyrical foundation.

"He had this great chorus, and the release was so big. I had to create some kind of tension at the front end to make it even bigger. That's where that jagged piano part comes from,” John told Uncut magazine in 2014, per Songfacts.

The enduring summer anthem has lasted for six decades, thanks in part to its cultural footprint, appearing in films such as Summer in the City (1971), Die Hard With a Vengeance (1995), and 12 Monkeys (also 1995). Not to mention the numerous covers from the likes of Quincy Jones, Joe Cocker, and Isaac Hayes.
