Michael Gledhill, the son of James Handy's girlfriend, has officially been charged with the actor's murder, TMZ reports. Specifically, he was charged with "one count of murder with a special allegation that he personally used a deadly weapon, a knife."

"This is not how anyone’s life should end, stabbed in the chest and left dying in the front yard of a home," Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a press release. "The victim deserved to live out his later years enjoying what he had worked so hard for and enjoying it with those he loved and cared about."

Handy was found in the morning on Wednesday, June 3, in the front yard of his Tarzana home with a stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to the hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Gledhill is also said to have made a “bizarre” 911 call where he told dispatchers, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin. He was arrested shortly after officers found Handy, and he ultimately flagged down authorities and said he was the one they were looking for. He was booked for one count of murder, and his bail was set at $2,000,000.00.

Gledhill's mom, Wendy, also spoke with TMZ earlier and talked about her son's mental health struggles, saying that he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia in July 2025 but had stopped taking his medication roughly a week before Handy’s murder. She added that the relationship between the two was “generally cordial.” And with that, Wendy was asked if her son should spend the rest of his life in prison, to which she responded that he "should not be where he can hurt anyone else.”

“They know I loved him so much. I’m so sorry,” she told the outlet. “I’m so sorry this happened. I’m still in shock. I still can’t comprehend it.”

Fans are a little confused after new details emerged surrounding the upcoming Like a Dragon prequel, Stranger Than Heaven, at the 2026 Summer Game Fest on June 5.

A new trailer from SEGA confirmed that the game will include a Tupac Shakur character, using the likeness of the infamous "California Love" rapper nearly 30 years after his death.

While other celebrities set to appear in the game, like Snoop Dogg, will voice their own character, it's unclear whether Shakur will be voiced by an actor or through archival recordings.

Fans were immediately divided by the news, and took to X to share their thoughts, excitement, and confusion. "The Tupac thing feels really gross to me off the bat. I don't know man, need to no more but it just feels like making a buck off of a guy who has been dead for 30 years," said one unenthused fan, while another contended, "I think it’s kinda cool."

A third wrote, "Everybody hating on Tupac in Stranger Than Heaven is ridiculous, we don't even know nothing about it yet bro. Snoop obviously facilitated this and they HAD to get permission from his estate, so what are we getting upset about?"

Stranger Than Heaven is an upcoming action-adventure game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the Sega-owned team best known for the Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) series and the Judgment spinoff games. Originally revealed as Project Century at The Game Awards in 2024, the game was officially renamed Stranger Than Heaven in 2025.

Unlike the studio's modern-day crime dramas, the new title spans roughly 50 years of Japanese history, following protagonist Makoto Daito across multiple eras and cities in a saga that appears to explore the origins of elements later seen in the Like a Dragon universe.

The team revealed the release day for the game at the event, citing plans to drop it on on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC on January 15th, 2027.

Shakur died at just 25 years old on Sept. 13, 1996, following a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, and while that was nearly three decades ago, a 2025 docuseries by 50 Centreignited attention on the case.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning revisited long-standing allegations about the murder and examined claims that Sean "Diddy" Combs may have had ties to individuals connected to the shooting. However, no court has found Combs responsible for Shakur's death, and any alleged connection remains unproven.

Morris Day is marking a major milestone in his music career with a special release that gives fans a deeper look into one of his most celebrated projects.

The legendary funk and R&B performer announced on Instagram that Warner/Rhino Records will release a deluxe edition of his 1985 album Color of Success on June 26 as part of his 45th anniversary celebration in music.

Morris Day Celebrates 45 Years in Music

Day is best known as the frontman of The Time, the Minneapolis-based funk band closely associated with Prince. The group emerged in the early 1980s and became a major part of the Minneapolis sound that gained worldwide attention during the decade.

Founded in 1981, The Time played a prominent role in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and became known for energetic performances and hits including "Jungle Love," "The Bird," and later "Jerk Out."

Before leading The Time, Day and Prince attended the same high school in Minneapolis and performed together in the band Grand Central during the 1970s. Their creative partnership helped shape one of the most influential eras in funk and pop music.

While Day's work with The Time earned widespread acclaim, his solo career also produced notable successes. Released in 1985, Color of Success reached No. 37 on the Billboard 200 and climbed to No. 7 on the R&B chart. The album generated several charting singles, including "The Oak Tree," "The Color of Success" and "The Character."

"The Oak Tree" became one of Day's signature songs, reaching No. 3 on the R&B chart and helping solidify his standing as a solo performer.

In addition to the deluxe album, Day revealed that a new version of "The Oak Tree" is also in development. According to his announcement, an "Oak Tree Remix" by SHAWTYR3DD is scheduled to arrive soon, though additional details have not yet been released.

The news comes shortly after Day made headlines for clarifying that he and The Time would not perform at the Great American State Fair, a multi-day event planned for Washington, D.C., as part of America's 250th anniversary celebrations.

After being included in an initial lineup announcement, Day publicly denied that he would appear at the event.

Rising soul and jazz singer KELS has been announced as the national anthem performer for Game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals, adding another major sports event to her growing list of high-profile appearances.

The singer shared the news with fans through Instagram ahead of Friday night's championship matchup between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center.

“Dirty Blues Princess is back in San Antonio,” she excitedly wrote. “A lot of people don’t know this but I lived in San Antonio as a baby and my little brother was born there. Earlier this year, KELS performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, her hometown. Her appearance at the NBA Finals continues a breakout year for the artist as her profile continues to rise nationally.

While many basketball fans may be hearing her name for the first time, KELS has steadily built a loyal following through independent touring and live performances.

The Rolling Stones announced a new and unique collaboration on Thursday.

The iconic 1970s band that pioneered rock musicshared to Instagram that they are collaborating with FIFA for the next merch release, in honor of their upcoming album, Foreign Tounges, and the World Cup taking place from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Foreign Tounges, out July 10, will come out in three limited-edition vinyl variants: a Host Nation Edition, a Winners' Circle Edition and a FIFA World Cup 2026 Edition, all with different designs, inspired by the band's iconic imagery and FIFA design elements. A dedicated line of Rolling Stone and FIFA co-branded clothing is also expected to drop soon.

In addition, Rolling Stone released a special remix of "In The Stars" alongside their producers Andrew Watt and Cirkut for the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 album, which also includes songs and collaborations by Shakira, Daddy Yankee and Shenseea, LISA and Anitta, Ava Max and BIA, 21 Savage, Nato Cano and French Montana, Major Lazer, Nelly Furtado and Davido, and more.

Formed in London in 1962 by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts and Mick Taylor, The Rolling Stones became one of the most influential bands in the world, thanks to their songs that blend the blues, pop and psychedelic rock genres. Since their formation over 60 years ago, they have released 32 studio albums, with their most recent being Hackney Diamonds in 2023.

Though it was never officially announced, The Rolling Stones were planning to embark on a tour around the United Kingdom and Europe this year. The band's touring pianist, Chuck Leavell, and a spokesperson told the UK press last year that a new album was in the works, as well as a tour. But, in December 2025, a source close to the band told Variety that the tour is cancelled because Richards will be unable to due to his long battle with arthritis.

Despite that, in a Q&A that took place at a listening party and launch event that was hosted by Conan O'Brien in Brooklyn last month, Jagger told the audience that he would "love to tour the album."

"I absolutely would love to," the 82-year-old musician responded. “I hope to do it as soon as that’s possible.”

The New York Times bestselling author clearly worked hard to achieve her ultra-toned look, with a source telling The Daily Mailshe "was having about 600 calories a day."

"Stassi really wanted to look incredible for the show so went on a massive diet," the source said, claiming that she "skipped breakfast, had only a salad for lunch and then did not touch a carb after 5 p.m," the source said about the Bravo star.

The mother of two was so committed to this diet that she started seeing effects almost immediately. "The weight just melted off her body, but that kind of diet is very hard to do because the cravings are insane," the source added. Stassi's appearance at the Sports Illustrated show in Miami went viral, and not just because of how good she looked in that bikini.

Online commentators couldn't help but notice her stiff walk and unnatural posture. While some social media posts were unkind, with one user declaring, "Entering the room pelvis first is nuts," others were more sympathetic and blamed the bikini.

Rock legend Sammy Hagar has openly admitted that disappointing ticket sales forced changes to the upcoming U.K. leg of his 2026 The Best Of All Worlds tour.

Speaking during an interview with The Neil Jones Rock Show on TotalRock, the former Van Halen frontman revealed that several dates were reworked into smaller venues after demand fell short of expectations. Rather than avoiding the issue, Hagar addressed it directly.

"I love the fact that we've moved it to a smaller venue so it'll be full instead of playing some big giant place that holds 12 [thousand] but there's only 6,000 people there," Hagar said.

"The ambiance of that is so much different, and that's why we changed it. Guilty as charged, we didn't sell it out. I thought, 'Oh, we'll sell that out, no problem.'"

The revised schedule now focuses on more intimate venues and includes a three-night residency at London's new British Airways ARC. The decision was inspired in part by the success of Hagar's recent Las Vegas residency, where multiple nights allowed for longer sets and rotating song selections.

The tour marks Hagar's first proper U.K. run since 1996, making it a significant return for the veteran rocker after nearly three decades away from British concert stages.

Hagar said his appearance at Ozzy Osbourne's Back To The Beginning concert in Birmingham helped convince him to return to the U.K.

Despite his decades-long career, he admitted feeling uncertain about how audiences would respond.

"When I walked out on stage, I was so nervous because I hadn't been there in so long," Hagar said.

Although he felt the reception was more cautious than celebratory, the experience motivated him to reconnect with longtime fans.

"So, I told my manager the next day, I said, 'I wanna go play the U.K. I have to,'" he explained.

Hagar added that many British fans grew up with music from his solo career, Montrose, Chickenfoot and Van Halen. He said he believes those songs remain important and deserve to be performed live.

The singer's career spans more than five decades. He first gained recognition with Montrose in the 1970s before becoming a successful solo artist with hits such as "I Can't Drive 55." His profile rose even higher after joining Van Halen in 1985, helping the band produce four chart-topping albums.

While the venue changes were driven by ticket sales, Hagar believes the new format will ultimately create a better experience for fans.

The residency-style approach allows the band to change several songs each night instead of relying on a fixed setlist.

The shows will include material from across Hagar's career, including songs from Montrose, his solo catalog, Chickenfoot and especially Van Halen.

Joining him on stage will be guitarist Joe Satriani, bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Kenny Aronoff.

According to Hagar, fans can expect songs such as "5150," "Humans Being," "Why Can't This Be Love," "Top Of The World" and other fan favorites, alongside less frequently performed tracks.

The tour follows the continued evolution of the Best Of All Worlds concept, which debuted in 2024 and expanded through several Las Vegas residencies. Hagar recently said the residency format allowed the group to rotate five to seven songs per night and experiment with a wider selection of material.

The 2026 U.K. itinerary includes stops in Wolverhampton and Manchester before concluding with three nights in London. The U.K. tour begins July 6 in Wolverhampton and concludes July 12 in London.

FBI director Kash Patel just shared a rare update on Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie's mother, Nancy Guthrie, more than four months after the 84-year-old was abducted in Tucson, Ariz.

On Friday, June 5, NewsNation spoke with Patel after the case official hit the four-month mark on June 1. During their conversation, the FBI director doubled down on a previous claim that the Pima County Sheriff's Department blocked the bureau's involvement for days.

“We showed up immediately and offered our assistance," Patel said. "We were not let in for four days. And that’s their choice."

Of a hair sample found at Nancy's home, he added, "We offered our assistance to go test the DNA. And it’s up to them. They chose to use a private laboratory. Ultimately, the hair was sent to the FBI, but processing the sample could still take months.

Additionally, Patel pointed out that local agencies accepting help from the FBI can lead to quick results.

He explained, “What the FBI is great at, what we did when we finally had access to the Ring doorbell camera, for example, we went to our partners at Google and we said, ‘Hey, we know that there wasn’t a paid subscription service, but let’s go look at the metadata and see if we can find a needle in a needle in a needle in a haystack."

Finally, Patel offered the latest on where Nancy's case stands, telling NewsNation that investigators are still meticulously going through tips.

“We continue to offer assistance,” he shared. “I even visited our Tucson office, where we had 150 agents and analysts working on the Nancy Guthrie race to provide intelligence.”

Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills residence on the evening of Jan. 31. Although Savannah has offered a $1 million reward and the FBI has released photos and video footage of a masked individual on Nancy's front porch, no suspect has been named.

Fifty-two years ago, the iconic '70s rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd released "Sweet Home Alabama," a song that went on to become an immortal southern anthem and inspire a future No. 1 hit, despite not capturing the top position itself.

Released on June 24, 1974 as the lead single from the band's second studio album, Second Helping, "Sweet Home Alabama" became a massive hit. Upon its release, the song became an instant southern anthem, appealing to southern demographics due to its uplifting lyricism about the positive side of country living.

The track grew in popularity due to its dedicated airplay through rock radio stations and by the fall of 1974, it had climbed up the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 8. In total, the song was on the chart for 17 consecutive weeks, marking it the only track in the group's history to break into the top ten. In 2009, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, celebrating its global cultural significance as a pillar of rock and roll.

Written by guitarists Ed King and Gary Rossington and lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, "Sweet Home Alabama" was a response to Neil Young's songs "Southern Man" and "Alabama." Van Zant believed Young's tracks were an unfair representation of southern people and wanted to combat the negative stereotypes with a prideful southern rock anthem. The lyrics directly call out Young, and counter the nation's disapproving view of America's southern region at the time.

"Sweet Home Alabama" is most recognizable for its legendary opening guitar riff that repeats throughout the duration of the song. The iconic push-and-pull chord progression quickly became a staple in southern rock, going on to inspire another major hit 34 years later: "All Summer Long" by country singer Kid Rock.

Released on March 17, 2008 as the third single from his seventh studio album, Rock n Roll Jesus, "All Summer Long" went on to become a chart-topping hit on several international charts. Its global popularity stemmed from its heavily inspired instrumentation that directly pulled from segments of "Sweet Home Alabama." It hit No. 1 on the Australia, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland and United Kingdom charts, and reached the No. 23 spot on the Hot 100.

Over five decades after its release, "Sweet Home Alabama" continues to make waves in the rock genre. The song has continued to endure, reaching new audiences through the digital era. On Spotify alone, the track has garnered over 1.68 billion streams—a massive feat that serves as a testament to its lasting influence.

A 'New Girl' Reunion

Both actors appeared in the original pilot of New Girl, the Fox comedy from Liz Meriwether. Damon Wayans Jr. had to drop out early when his series Happy Endings was unexpectedly renewed, so producers introduced a new character, played by Lamorne Morris, in Episode 2. Wayans Jr. returned in Season 3 and became a regular in Season 4, while Jake Johnson stayed for all seven seasons.

What the New Show Is About

The untitled pilot gives the 1996 premise a streaming-age makeover. Johnson plays Chip Douglas, an old-school cable technician who reconnects with a childhood friend, Steven Stephens (Wayans Jr.), when Steven calls to turn his cable back on. Their bond gives each man something he has been missing, until Chip's enthusiasm curdles into obsession. The show explores "the darkly absurd side of modern-day male friendship."

It comes from writers Rob Rosell (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and the Cobra Kai duo Joe Piarulli and Luan Thomas, who are honoring the film rather than remaking it. The original, directed by Ben Stiller, was a modest box-office performer that grew into a cult hit.

For longtime New Girl fans, a reunion with a Cable Guy twist is a very welcome surprise.

Music legend Neil Diamond was left with heartfelt emotions after watchingSteven Spielberg's sci-fi epic, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. It led the pop icon to immediately write a track that would be a hit on the charts, be considered a catchy love ballad, and land in legal troubles.

In 1982, Spielberg released the science fiction film, with Diamond, Carol Bayer Sager, and her then-husband, Burt Bacharach, attending a screening. So enamored by the character of E.T. and the concept of an alien arriving on Earth, they developed the track "Heartlight" while in the couple's apartment.

According to American Songwriter, Diamond explained, "We wanted to express how all of us felt about the little alien who suddenly appears in a strange world."

He added that he wanted to create a music statement that everyone had felt "very sincerely." Worried about what younger audiences might think of "Heartlight," Diamond actually played the song for his young son, Jessie, who approved it.

As E.T. became a box-office juggernaut, bringing in over $797 million versus its $10.5 million budget, Diamond's track also gained chart success. "Heartlight" landed at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. The love song would actually be Diamond's last top 10 hit on Billboard.

While "Heartlight" became known as a worthwhile love ballad, it ran into some legal troubles after the film's immense popularity. According to Rolling Stone, People released an article about MCA/Universal filing 25 lawsuits, with over 260 cases attached, of illegally cashing in on the Spielberg film.

Their main concern was a company creating counterfeit dolls in the likeness of E.T. and illegal bootleg videotapes of the film. As a result, they also went after Diamond and "Heartlight." While the song never actually mentions the character or specifics of the film, its title and certain lyrics allude to key scenes. Diamond would settle the matter out of court by paying $25,000.

In 1971, The Allman Brothers Band released a 13-minute instrumental that would become one of the most influential pieces in Southern rock history.

"In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" showcased the band's extraordinary musicianship and improvisational chemistry, helping establish the group as one of the premier live acts of its era.

More than 50 years later, it remains a favorite among classic rock fans and a staple of countless road trip playlists.

The song first appeared in its 7-minute studio form on the band's landmark album Idlewild South in 1970, but its reputation grew even larger through the group's legendary live performances.

Written by guitarist Dickey Betts, the composition blended jazz influences, Latin rhythms, blues improvisation and rock energy into something entirely unique.

"I'd written the melody and the very basic chords and brought it to the band," Betts shared in a 1981 interview. "We played it for a week or so before we taped it or anything, just seeing what we could do with the tune."

Despite its title, the song was not actually written as a memorial.

Betts later revealed that "Elizabeth Reed" was inspired by a woman he knew and that he borrowed the name from a headstone he noticed in a cemetery near Macon, Georgia. The title helped disguise the real-life inspiration behind the composition.

What truly set the song apart, however, was its musical ambition.

Rather than relying on vocals, the track allowed the band's instrumentalists to tell the story. The interplay between Betts and Duane Allman became one of the song's defining features, while the rhythm section provided a fluid foundation for extended improvisation.

"Duane and I used to have a little wine and we'd sit and talk about how screwed up it is that every good band you get together, the guitar players start getting jealous of each other and start trying to hotdog out each other and ruin the whole thing," Betts said in a 2024 interview. "Duane and I had an understanding, like an old soul kind of understanding, of let’s play together. And then I wrote 'Elizabeth Reed,' and instead of Duane being jealous of it, he said, 'That is the greatest thing, man.'"

The composition reached its fullest expression on the legendary live album At Fillmore East, released in 1971. That version, which is 13 minutes long, is widely regarded as one of the greatest live recordings in rock history and helped introduce the song to a much broader audience.

Although "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" was never a conventional radio hit, it became one of the band's signature pieces and a cornerstone of the emerging jam-band tradition.

Its influence can still be heard in generations of musicians who embraced long-form improvisation and genre-blending arrangements.

For listeners, the song's expansive structure and sense of musical journey have made it particularly well suited for long drives. The track unfolds gradually, rewarding attentive listening while perfectly complementing hours spent on the open road.

More than five decades after its release, "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" remains one of the defining achievements of The Allman Brothers Band, a timeless road trip anthem that proved an instrumental composition could be every bit as powerful as a traditional rock song.

When it comes to viral food trends, this is one you simply can't escape right now. It feels like every other scroll on TikTok involves someone adding protein to something unexpected. Cottage cheese has been blended into ice cream, baked into bagels and whipped into dips. Greek yogurt has found its way into everything from cookie dough to ranch dressing. So when a creamy pasta dish made from a very few ingredients started popping up on my feed, I immediately stopped scrolling.

A protein-packed, simple, creamy pasta dish? I was listening.

Then I saw how simple it was. The recipe, popularized by TikTok creator Reem aka @Reemieshops, calls for just a handful of ingredients: pasta, plain yogurt, garlic and salt. That's the entire foundation of the dish. No heavy cream. No cheese sauce. No simmering tomatoes on the stove for hours. As someone who is always looking for easy dinner ideas that get on the table as quick as possible, I was fully locked in.

What really intrigued me, though, was that this wasn't just another internet recipe created for clicks. Reem's version is based on a traditional Lebanese dish called macarona bil laban, a comforting pasta dish coated in a garlicky yogurt sauce. The comments on her videos were filled with people saying they grew up eating it, while others were discovering it for the first time and becoming obsessed.

The dish looked creamy, comforting and incredibly unique. Every time I watched one of her videos, I found myself wondering what it actually tasted like. Was it similar to Alfredo? Was it tangy? Was the raw garlic overwhelming? There was only one way to find out.

So I grabbed a container of plain yogurt, boiled some pasta and convinced my husband and kids to come along for the ride. Here's what happened when I tried TikTok's viral Lebanese yogurt pasta for myself.

What Makes This Yogurt Pasta Dish So Special?

The dish Reem shares is based on macarona bil laban, which literally translates to "pasta in yogurt." Popular throughout Lebanon and the Levant, the dish traditionally combines pasta with a garlicky yogurt sauce and is often topped with pine nuts, herbs and sometimes spiced meat.

Part of the reason it's resonating so strongly online is because it feels completely different from the pasta dishes most Americans grew up eating. Instead of relying on cream, cheese or tomato sauce, the yogurt creates a silky, tangy coating for the noodles. Reem's version is also incredibly approachable, requiring just a handful of pantry and refrigerator staples while coming together in under 20 minutes.

There's also something refreshing about a pasta dish that doesn't feel overly heavy. The yogurt gives it richness, but the tanginess keeps every bite feeling light. It's the kind of recipe that makes people stop scrolling because it's familiar enough to try but different enough to feel exciting.

How To Make Yogurt Pasta

For the basic version you'll need:

• 1 pound pasta (Reem often uses spaghetti, linguine or fettuccine)
• About 2 cups plain yogurt
• Salt
• 4 cloves garlic, finely grated

For the version I tried, I also used:

• Dried mint
• Pine nuts
• Butter

To make it, cook your pasta according to package directions. While the pasta cooks, combine the yogurt, garlic and salt in a large bowl. Reem serves her version cold, often rinsing the pasta before combining it with the yogurt mixture.

Once the pasta is coated in the yogurt sauce, melt butter in a small skillet and toast the pine nuts until golden brown. Stir in dried mint and spoon the buttery mixture over the pasta before serving.

Like Reem, I served mine alongside frozen French fries, which felt slightly random at first but somehow made perfect sense once everything hit the plate.

Yogurt Pasta Review: My Honest Thoughts

I made this for dinner for my family of four, and much like Reem has mentioned in several of her videos, her kids don't quite have the taste for it yet, and mine didn't either.

My 6-year-old son initially gave it a thumbs up, but once the raw garlic hit his tongue, he immediately started yelling, "Ah! Spicy!" My 3-year-old daughter quickly followed suit. I ended up making them a simplified version with just pasta, yogurt, mint and salt, which they happily ate. Apparently multiple cloves of raw garlic is a journey they're not quite ready for yet.

My husband and I, however, kept going back for more. At one point he looked up and said, "This is one of the more unique things I've eaten in a while." That pretty much summed up our experience. We both liked it. We both cleaned our plates. But we also couldn't quite put our finger on what we were tasting.

For me, the dish felt like it was missing a little acidity or maybe even a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese to round things out. The yogurt provides tang, but I found myself wanting just a little more brightness. I'm also not the biggest fan of raw garlic, so next time I'd probably roast the garlic first and mash it into the yogurt for a smoother, sweeter flavor.

I would definitely add more dried mint as well. Reem doesn't give an exact amount, so I used about 1½ teaspoons, but I think the dish could handle more. And don't be shy with the salt. The yogurt needs it to give the sauce some backbone.

The one thing I wouldn't change? The butter and toasted pine nuts. Honestly, anything tastes better covered in melted butter and toasted pine nuts.

Am I racing back into the kitchen to make this again tomorrow? Probably not. But am I glad I tried it? Absolutely. That's the fun of viral recipes, sometimes the biggest payoff is discovering a flavor combination you never would have tried otherwise.

While this viral yogurt pasta probably won't replace spaghetti and meatballs in my family's regular dinner rotation, I'm still glad we gave it a try. It was unlike anything we've eaten before, which is honestly one of my favorite things about testing viral recipes. The combination of creamy yogurt, raw garlic, mint and buttery pine nuts creates a flavor that's both comforting and unexpected. If you're looking to break out of your usual pasta routine and try something completely different, this Lebanese-inspired dish is definitely worth a spot on your dinner table at least once.

If you're a short woman like me, then you know that shopping for certain clothing items can be difficult. Whether it's high-waisted jeans going up to your bra or longer skirts swallowing you whole, there seems to be a sweet spot that we need to find in apparel all the time. And when it comes to dresses for short women, you need to really go through some trial-and-error to find styles that look good. Lucky for you, I went through the painstaking task of doing that with some current styles in stores that range from affordable to expensive.

I am not only short, but I have a weirdly long torso and very short legs. So, even though stylists often recommend shorter dresses to shorter women—a la the Sabrina Carpenter or Ariana Grande look—I oftentimes can’t find mini dresses that are long enough to cover the necessary bits. And certain maxi dresses are so long that I’m tripping over them, while midi dresses can sometimes cut off my legs to make me look even shorter. So yeah, shopping for dresses (just like many things) is harder for me. 

But the thing is, I do love dresses. Anything girly—skirts, dresses and lots of pink, for example—is right up my alley. So even though it isn’t a breeze for me to shop for these clothing items, I have lots of practice and know what looks good on me, what will fit and what is going to be a no-go. 

So, as a gal who is short and curvy, I tried on 12 options and found my eight favorite dresses for short women in stores right now—plus four I disliked. And even if you're a completely different body type, I hope that my findings about stretchiness, transparency, wonky seams and surprising fits can help you find your favorite summer dress.

My Testing Process

In the spring and summer, if it’s a nice day out, I love nothing more than putting a comfortable dress on instead of shorts or linen pants. While I like all three of those items, dresses can be effortless while still looking put-together. Plus, it gives me that feminine look I enjoy. 

I find that even though I can’t find bottoms that fit me in stores because they don’t sell their plus-sized options in-person, I can usually find dresses that work. Of course, like with all women’s clothing, there are usually size discrepancies within a brand. So even though one dress might fit because of its shape or fabric, another from the same store won’t even go over my chest or stomach. But that’s okay; I have decades of experience trying things on and being disappointed in dimly lit fitting rooms.

So, along with my love for dresses, my shopping experience as a short, plus-sized woman is really what makes me the "expert" here. I have had to adapt and learn how to figure out what will fit my body based on what it looks like on the hanger, along with the sizes and the fabric it comes in. Even if you’re not plus-sized like me, I think that my observations and experiences will help short women of all sizes because that in itself is a pretty universal experience: figuring out whether a dress will swallow you up, make you look stumpier than usual or not cater to women with shorter legs.

I do want to note, though, that even though I do know what usually works on my body and what doesn’t, I did get a bit more adventurous for this experiment. Especially when I stopped at Target, I kind of just chose anything with a pattern or look that I really liked. So, for instance, even if I usually wouldn’t gravitate toward a form-fitting maxi dress, I tried it on for this test.

The 8 Dresses for Short Women I Loved the Most—After Trying on 12 for Summer 2026

Here were my eight favorite dresses, and the ones I'd recommend to other short women!

Confession: I fell in love with this dress the moment I stepped foot into Old Navy and saw this pattern on a hanger. My fiancée and I were returning stuff at the time and had to be in and out. But I saved it on the app and have had it in my mind ever since. So I knew that, for this experiment, I needed to just take the plunge and buy it rather than just go try it on in stores. And let me tell you: it delivered. 

I was mostly obsessed with this pattern, which gave off the perfect warm-weather vibe since it was reminiscent of Italy. With its oranges, fruit stamps, Aperol spritzes, tomatoes and more, I could only think of a summer in Florence, Italy, or Cinque Terre when looking at this dress (some of my favorite places to travel).  

And since I am a lover of dresses, it was perfect that this pattern was on a flattering A-line dress with an even cuter neckline. Even though some loose dresses can sometimes make a plus-sized woman like me look frumpy or shapeless, I had faith this would give me that stylish, effortless, breezy summer look. And I was right! 

I actually like the look of shapeless dresses on me, especially if they’re shorter (actually, only if they’re shorter). It kind of gives off a Sabrina Carpenter vibe, in my opinion, which of course flatters shorter women like me as well. And this one was short enough to give me a classy silhouette without showing my butt and not too long so that it didn’t swallow me whole.

This dress blew my expectations away. I was getting a bit disgruntled as I searched for dresses, finding that Aerie, at this current time, not only didn’t have a wide variety of dresses, but also didn’t have sizes bigger than an XL in-store. So when I picked this out, I was hoping that the thick leotard body was stretchy enough to make this work. And it did!

At the time, I didn’t know this was from Aerie’s “At The Barre” collection of dresses, but it makes total sense. I’m a former ballerina of 15 years, so it was only natural to gravitate toward something that feels like a leotard. And it fit snugly, how one should, hugging my upper torso so that it supported my chest while also giving me a flattering silhouette. I didn’t wear a bra with it in the store, and probably would be fine without one if I chose to buy it eventually (which I might).

And the flowy nature of the skirt was giving “long lyrical costume,” but in a casual, wearable way. This dress is perfect for a day outside at a picnic or cookout, or for date night; it’s able to be dressed up or down, depending on the shoes and accessories you choose.

The XL fit me, which was a nice surprise. I might choose to go up one size to an XXL if I did purchase this for myself, for a little more breathing room. The XL wasn’t uncomfortable, but as all dancers know, if you spend too much time lounging in a tight leotard, it could be too much. So, for the sake of potentially wearing this to brunch or a family gathering in the future, if I choose to buy it, I’d want that added comfort.

I tried this dress on in stores in the spring, looking for something to wear for Easter. I loved it at the time, but chose not to buy it because I was a little iffy about the shift-dress aspect of it all. As I stated before, if something is shapeless on my bigger body, I don’t want to get lost in it and look frumpy. But when this experiment came up, and I was already buying the above Apron-Neck Shift Dress, I figured “Why not?” And I’m glad I got it. 

I, for one, love this pattern and color; I think it flatters me very well, and I am just a sucker for anything sage green, mint green or in that category of “Green" (can you tell by the way my curtains match this dress?). I also loved the feminine bows on the back of the straps. And when on, even though it doesn’t give shape, the short nature really lends itself to that doll, retro pin-up vibes that are popular right now (especially for short women).

Overall, it’s airy and comfortable and gives me a colorful item that I can wear to a restaurant or just out on the town—casual or nice.

This sort of peasant dress look has been popular for a couple of years now, and is just a great choice for the summer. And this one hugs my upper body is such a flattering way. I do wish I had gone for a 1X (that’s on me, since they did have it in-store, I just thought it looked too big). This XXL is too snug on my stomach, so it would be uncomfortable after a bit of time. But again, it still looks good, regardless, and is such a pretty, girly dress to have. 

The pattern on this is reminiscent of Greece, with the light blue and white colors and the potted plants and other shapes fitting in well with that Santorini vibe. It’s simple and breezy, and would work so well for many summer occasions.

I bought this to round out my Old Navy order (because I needed a third dress to make 12 for the test). I was iffy on this, kind of picking it just because of the bell sleeves and the navy blue and green stripes. But I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on. 

This does give my figure a nice hug without being tight at all, and the bell sleeves didn’t disappoint. It overall looks like a ‘70s dream dress, with the slightly open back and tied top lending itself to a summery feel.

It is very short in the back, probably due to my bigger butt and the fact that it’s a cover-up. However, it’s not see-through—though it is a thin, lightweight cotton—so it’s a perfect summer dress that isn’t just for the beach. But it is perfect for what it’s made for; I could totally see myself wearing this over a bikini or tankini to the beach or a resort-side pool.

This dress is very structured, thanks to the tight feel of the dress on the upper part of the body and its princess seams, which make it very flattering for curvier bodies. I’ve also seen some hate online for cap sleeves, and these work well with this dress; they’re cute here! 

If I were in the market for a more professional dress—whether for a conference or graduation, or if I were a teacher—this would be the perfect one. It’s modest with its length and sleeves, but while still flattering with the way it hugs the chest and upper stomach.

This dress was cute and reminded me so much of smocked dresses I wore as a child (in a good way). Because of that, it has a very retro look that either fits with youthful '90s vibes or hippie '70s vibes. You can also remove the straps to go strapless (which I love) or pull it down so you can wear it as a skirt.

I also think that a pretty blue and brown color combo should be used more in clothes now; they go well together and are a unique choice for summer. I really liked that I didn’t have to wear a bra with this, and that it had pockets!

If I ever see this on sale, I might actually buy it. I really loved the tight top and flowy skirt combination that would be good to just throw on if you wanted to casually, or could be dressed up for nice summer events like a rooftop bar, date night on a patio or more. Plus, you could easily use this to transition into fall with a cardigan or a lovely sweater on top.

So, as you can see, this is a tiny, tiny dress, and did not fit me very well at all in an XXL. But hear me out: I still really liked it. I love something sexy that I can wear to a club or a bar to go dancing in. And if I got this in a 2X, I just know it would make me feel so hot and look oh-so-good. 

This is perfect for a bachelorette party, a night out with the girls or out in a party scene like Las Vegas.

Maybe I got a defective one, but the pleating on the chest made the front material bunch up in the most unflattering way on this dress. There’s an underlayer, and then a thinner layer on top with the striped design. That layer bunched a little too much and was pleated so weirdly that at certain angles, it made it look like my chest was sagging. Not good.

I did like the low back feature on this dress, and it showed a tasteful amount of side-boob that I usually don’t get in dresses. The colors were also a different combination than what I’m used to, and I liked them, specifically the dark beige and magenta.

The fit was flattering and comfortable, which was refreshing for a size XL. Again, if the fabric and seams were different on the front, I could see myself actually getting this dress.

This dress was weirdly tight in the chest, and it stretched out more than a smocked top should (in my opinion). It was just a nothing-burger of a dress for me, which was a bummer since it was stretchy material and I felt like it should fit.

Yikes! Aside from being tighter than I liked, there was no stretch here. Also, the plunging neckline and loose (for me) cups were a bit scandalous if I wore it out.

This fitted, structured mini dress was difficult to get on, mostly because it was too tight, but also because of the weird liner situation going on. Due to being a white dress, there’s a very thin slip underneath that’s sewn in at the strangest spots. So it was difficult getting that in the right place (I failed) while also making the dress sit correctly.

The dress was also still see-through despite it all, so I very much felt like “what was the reason I had to wrangle a slip?”

Before today, the only place you could find the extended version of Pink Floyd’s 1977 rock ballad “Pigs on the Wing” was on the original 8-track cartridge edition of Animals. Today, however, that all changes with the band’s new compilation, 8-Tracks, which brings the rare version to a wider audience for the first time.

The new Sony Music release is a curated collection of eight classics spanning the band’s 1970s output, drawing from landmark albums including Meddle, The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall. As its title suggests, the tracklist features eight essential cuts such as “Money,” “Wish You Were Here,” and “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2,” with the selection edited by Steven Wilson.

According to a press statement announcing the album, 8-Tracks has been described as “a starting point for new listeners to discover the depth and breadth of Pink Floyd’s peerless album catalogue, as well as a carefully curated collection for longtime fans to appreciate.”

Most notably, the compilation offers broader access to the full version of “Pigs on the Wing.” Long considered a perfect entry point into Pink Floyd’s expansive catalog, the track has often been described as a gateway to the band’s wider sonic world. 

Released in 1977, the rock ballad is a two-part acoustic love song. Written by Roger Waters for his then-wife, Carolyne, the song bookended the band’s Orwellian Animals. Because the song was presented as a prologue and epilogue, it never charted as a single. Animals, however, spent 32 weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 3 in March 1977.

The release marks the latest in a series of recent archival projects from the band, following Pink Floyd Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975, which arrived earlier this year.
