Paramount+'s multi-camera comedy series Crutch starring Tracy Morgan has been canceled after just one season.

This news will come as a surprise to many after the long wait for an update following the series' end. Deadline reports that the eight-episode season was taped in front of a live audience in Fall 2024 but wasn't released on Paramount+ until November 2025. The options on the cast expired at the end of last year, making it tough for more episodes to happen.

Crutch starred Morgan as Francois "Frank" Crutchfield, aka Crutch, a grumpy Harlem shop owner whose adult son and daughter move back into the family home. Ricky Stanicky's Jermaine Fowler played Crutch's son, with Snowfall's Adrianna Mitchell as his daughter, Jamilah, and Kecia Lewis as Crutch's late wife's sister, Antoinette.

The sitcom was set in the same world as CBS's The Neighborhood, with Morgan appearing in a Season 8 crossover episode as the cousin of Cedric the Entertainer's character Calvin. In March last year, CBS renewed the comedy for an eighth and final season.

Despite landing a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score and positive reviews, Crutch failed to land with an audience. When the cancelation was announced, many TV viewers admitted they had never heard of the Morgan comedy.

Luckily for fans of Tracy Morgan, he has recently appeared in The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, from the makers of 30 Rock, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. Morgan had filmed the pilot in March 2025, obviously aware of the future of Crutch. The NBC mockumentary had already been renewed for season 2 by May 2026.

Crutch was executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer and Eric C. Rhone and created by Owen Smith, who served as executive producer and showrunner.

This cancelation news comes following Skydance’s acquisition of Paramount+ and CBS Studios parent Paramount. Days after the deal closed, Cindy Holland, Chair of Direct-to-Consumer who oversees Paramount+, spoke to Deadline about the upcoming focus for the streamer, admitting that multi-camera comedies won’t be a priority because CBS is “fantastic” in the genre and has all of the network’s sitcoms available on Paramount+ the next day.

One of metal's longest-running creative partnerships has come to an unexpected end.

King Diamond has parted ways with guitarist Andy LaRocque after 41 years, ending a run that stretched back to the band's earliest days. The two sides "mutually decided" to separate, according to an announcement shared on Friday, July 24.

No reason was given for the decision, but the statement made it clear that the split was amicable.

"Looking back, we do so with nothing but pride, gratitude, and respect for everything we have achieved together," the band said. It added that the memories they created would remain with them and that their friendship and mutual respect would continue.

LaRocque joined King Diamond in June 1985 while the band was working on its debut album, Fatal Portrait. In a 2008 interview, he recalled receiving a call from drummer Mikkey Dee and traveling to Copenhagen the following day to audition.

The guitarist listened to "Dressed in White" a few times, played along as the band recorded him and was immediately told he had the job. That audition began a partnership that would make LaRocque the only musician besides Diamond to appear on all 12 of the band's studio albums.

His role also extended beyond performing. LaRocque became one of the group's principal songwriters and contributed to the production of much of its catalog, helping create albums such as Abigail, Them and Conspiracy. His melodic solos became an important part of the band's sound throughout its more than four decades together.

LaRocque has already entered a new phase of his career with Lex Legion, which reunites him with former King Diamond members Dee, Pete Blakk and Hal Patino. The group released its self-titled debut on June 12, and LaRocque's official website now lists Lex Legion and his Sonic Train Studios as his primary focuses.

King Diamond has also confirmed that Firewind founder and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Gus G. will take LaRocque's place. The singer announced that Gus G. will write, record and tour with the band while continuing his other projects.

Although the new guitarist gives King Diamond a path forward, LaRocque's departure is far more significant than an ordinary lineup change. His work connected every studio album in the band's history, making his 41-year run one of its most important constants.

Thirty years after Kerri Strug’s iconic vault and the first Olympic team gold in U.S. women’s gymnastics history, the beloved Magnificent Seven could be coming back together.  

Gymnastics fans are in for a wave of nostalgia after USA Gymnastics shared news yesterday, July 23, 2026, that the organization is honoring the Olympic women’s and men’s artistic gymnastics teams 30 years after their performances in Atlanta.

The event is expected to bring together members of the famed Magnificent Seven—Amanda Borden, Amy Chow, Dominique Dawes, Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu, Jaycie Phelps, and Kerri Strug—setting up what could be one of the most emotional and nostalgic reunions of all time.

USAG made the announcement on the 30th anniversary of the women’s team’s triumphant Olympic win on July 23, 1996. Becoming the first women’s artistic team to win gold, with Strug’s iconic vault becoming the defining image of the historic victory, the team was later inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, with each woman being inducted as individual athletes as well. 

During that monumental showing, Miller also won gold on balance beam, Chow nabbed silver on uneven bars, and Dawes secured bronze on the floor. Today, the women are all grown up and living beautiful lives. Here’s a deeper dive into their lives 30 years later. 

“The U.S. women winning their first team gold on home soil had an incredible impact on the trajectory of the sport,” USA Gymnastics President & CEO Kyle Albrecht said. “With an individual medalist and a team of athletes who impacted the sport for generations, the men likewise have an enduring legacy. Welcome Back, Kotter premiered on September 9, 1975, on ABC and ran for four seasons through 1979. Created by Gabe Kaplan and Alan Sacks, the sitcom followed wisecracking high school teacher Gabe Kotter, played by Kaplan, as he returned to his former Brooklyn high school to teach a class of underachieving students charmingly known as the "Sweathogs."

The talented ensemble cast included Ron Palillo as Arnold Horshack, whose iconic laugh became television gold; Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs as Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington; Robert Hegyes as Juan Epstein; and John Travolta as the endlessly charismatic Vinnie Barbarino.

While some argue that the '90s and early aughts were the peak era for rom-coms, quite a few recent films in the genre have managed to charm audiences. For instance, the publication Collider recently put out a ranking of "the 10 best rom-coms of the last 10 years."

Collider spotlighted 2023's Anybody but You, People We Meet on Vacation (2026),To All the Boys I've Loved Before from 2018, and Crazy Rich Asians, also released in 2018, on the ranking. The list's top spot went to the 2022 film Cha Cha Real Smooth. Throughout the movie, 22-year-old Andrew (Cooper Raiff) is enamored with Domino (Dakota Johnson), who is devoted to her child, Lola (Vanessa Burghardt). Unfortunately for Andrew, Domino is engaged, giving this overall sweet film plenty of painful moments.

Cha Cha Real Smooth, which was also directed and written by Raiff, has a score of 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 69 on Metacritic.

During a 2022 interview for the Sundance Institute, Raiff explained that Cha Cha Real Smooth is about how deep bonds can help individuals grow.

"Cha Cha for me is about, like, two soulmates helping each other get strong for different stages in their life," said the filmmaker in the interview.

In addition, he said he wanted to explore the ups and downs of young adulthood in Cha Cha Real Smooth. He also noted that he purposefully gave Andrew the ability to help party-goers feel more comfortable.

"I wanted to say something about what your twenties should be for. And I have no idea what it should be for, but I wanted to write a character who was really into starting other people's parties. But like your twenties are kind of the time where you need to start your own party," said Raiff.

Fifty-three years ago, iconic singer and actress Barbra Streisand released "The Way We Were"—a song that went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 and become a heartbreak staple.

Released on September 27, 1973 as the lead single and title track from her 15th studio album, "The Way We Were" became a major standout track. Upon its arrival, the song climbed the Hot 100, peaking at No. 1 on February 2, 1974 for three non-consecutive weeks. A major factor that contributed to the success of "The Way We Were" was its appearance in Sydney Pollack's romantic drama of the same name. The film, which premiered on October 19, 1973, was a massive box office success, grossing about $45 million. In turn, the soundtrack attached to it, which consisted of Marvin Hamlisch's instrumental arrangements and songs featuring Streisand, was catapulted into the public's fascination.

The soundtrack rendition of "The Way We Were" utilized a separate vocal take to the single version and was used as the driving song in the film's soundtrack and promotion. It even took home the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1974, aiding in the single version's excessive listener demand.

Written by Hamlisch with lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman, the chart-topping ballad fit perfectly with the film's theme of nostalgia in relationships. The track explores the bittersweet nostalgia of reflecting on a lost love. The heart-wrenching lyrics about missing a past lover hit home with wide-ranging audiences, making it a breakup staple of the early '70s.

Taylor began writing "Fire and Rain" while recovering at a London psychiatric hospital. The opening verse was inspired by the death of his close friend Suzanne Schnerr, whose passing had been kept from him while he was receiving treatment.

"Three of [my friends] were really close to Susie," Taylor later recalled. "But Richard and Joel and Margaret were excited for me having this record deal and making this album and when Susie killed herself they decided not to tell me about it until later because they didn't want to shake me up. I didn't find out until some six months after it happened."

By the time he learned the news, he was devastated and those emotions became the foundation for the song.

The lyrics also reflected other personal struggles.

Taylor has explained that the song's three verses each represent a different chapter of his life: grief over Suzanne's death, his battles with addiction and mental health, and his hope for a brighter future. The result was a remarkably honest composition that resonated with listeners navigating their own experiences of loss and perseverance.

"There [were] things that I needed to get rid of or at least get out of me or get in front of me or at least have some other relationship than feeling them internally, either by telling somebody else or by just putting them out in a form in front of me so that I could say, 'There they are,' you know, externalizing it somehow," Taylor told NPR in 2000. "And that part was hard, having the feelings that needed to be expressed in that way. But it was actually a relief, like a laugh or a sigh."

Released as the second single from Taylor's breakthrough album Sweet Baby James, "Fire and Rain" quickly found an audience.

The song climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, helping establish Taylor as one of the defining voices of the early 1970s. Its intimate storytelling and understated acoustic arrangement also helped shape the emerging soft rock sound that would dominate the decade.

More than a commercial success, "Fire and Rain" became one of Taylor's most enduring works.

Its themes of grief, resilience, and healing have kept it in regular rotation on classic rock and adult contemporary radio for decades, while its emotional honesty has inspired countless artists across multiple genres. Today, it remains one of the songs most closely associated with Taylor's remarkable career.

NBA superstar LeBron Jamesstunned just about everyone on Friday when he announced that he will play for the Philadelphia 76ers. And while he took a major pay cut by accepting an $8 million two-year deal, LeBron’s salary isn't on Donald Trump’s mind.

Fox News Senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked the President about James on Friday, following the basketball player’s recent announcement, “LeBron James has decided that his next team to be the 76ers. Where do you stand on LeBron versus Michael Jordan as the best ever?”

Trump previously bashed James and praised Jordan on social media, posting on X (in 2018), “LeBron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made LeBron looks smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!”

This time, Trump told reporters, “Well, Michael Jordan is a guy that’s a friend of mine. I play golf with him. He’s a really good guy. And I think LeBron is, maybe he’s a racist, but maybe he doesn’t like Trump. I don’t know.”

The President continued, “I only like people that like me. So I would say Michael Jordan all the way.” 

Why doesn’t Donald Trump think LeBron James likes him?  

James isn’t shy about his political views. In 2016, the NBA player endorsed then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in an Akron Beacon Journal editorial, writing, “Our kids are our future, and I believe Barack started it and I believe Hillary will continue it.” 

In 2024, James again endorsed Trump’s challenger. This time standing behind Kamala Harris. James posted a video montage on X (in 2024), labeling Trump as a racist and writing, “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. Vote Kamala Harris!” 

What do fans think about Trump calling LeBron a racist? 

LeBron’s fans, or Trump’s critics, weren’t exactly on board with the President’s statements. In a recent Reddit thread, one commenter wrote sarcastically, “If hating Trump is racist, I fear I am the most racist person ever to breathe air,” while another brought up the Michael Jordan comparison, questioning, “Is MJ really golfing with Trump or is he making that up?” 

The backlash against Trump continued in another Reddit post with comments such as, “That’s dumb. Even for him,” and “People he attacks should just default respond to everything he says with ‘Quiet down. Adults are talking’.”

While the public certainly hasn't held back, James is still yet to comment on Trump’s ‘racist’ remark. 

Jenna Bush Hager proved she's fully able to laugh at her past after sharing a photo with an Austin restaurant that poked fun at one of her most infamous college moments.

"Happy Holidays from me and @elarroyo_atx !!!" Bush Hager captioned a photo dump on National Tequila Day as she posed in front of the iconic Austin restaurant's famous marquee.

Known for changing its sign daily with witty one-liners, El Arroyo didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate the occasion.

"It's National Tequila Day — Party like you're the president's daughter," the sign read on Friday, July 24.

The joke, of course, is a reference to the former First Daughter's widely publicized underage drinking citation while attending the University of Texas in the early 2000s. Bush Hager, now 44, since spoken candidly about the incident—and even recently poked fun at it herself.

"I didn't actually go to jail, I just was arrested," she explained on Today in 2023, per Hello!. "I wasn't even arrested, I was never detained. I just got a minor in possession of alcohol when I was 20 years old because I ordered a margarita at Chuy's with a fake ID."

The story has returned to headlines in recent weeks after the Jenna & Sheinelle star used her underage mishap for the viral "Netflix Documentary" TikTok trend before later admitting she'd mixed up the restaurant where it happened and issuing a tongue-in-cheek apology to El Arroyo on Today.

"Preparing for my Netflix documentary about that one time at El Arroyo when I was 19...iykyk," she wrote over the clip.

She was later forced to apologize and "set the record straight" after misremembering the location of her underage crime.

"I need to set the record straight. on something that was posted on social media yesterday. So on this video right here, I incorrectly stated, with the help of the social media team, that I had a drink at El Arroyo," she said on air earlier this month. "Now I have had some drinks at El Arroyo, but the drink we will be talking about in the documentary was actually at Chuy's. So I just want to say, I am sorry El Arroyo, you always served me. I'm just kidding!"

A tour that was expected to run into September has nearly disappeared overnight.

David Lee Roth has canceled all but one of the remaining dates on his 2026 North American tour. Shows in Dillon, Colo., Clear Lake, Iowa, Louisville, Ky. and East Moline, Ill. were among those removed from his schedule.

The only concert still listed is Roth's previously announced Aug. 7 appearance in Sturgis, S.D. No official reason has been provided for the cancellations, though there has been speculation that low ticket sales may have played a role.

Roth, 71, began the tour on April 16 in Airway Heights, Wash. The run, promoted under the name "Don't Love Me, Rent Me," featured the singer performing selections from his solo career along with many of the Van Halen songs that made him one of rock's most recognizable frontmen.

Following the news, former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar shared a message expressing concern for Roth. "I hope you're well. I hope there's not a physical problem," Hagar said before voicing his support for Roth's efforts to keep the band's music alive.

Hagar also invited Roth to appear alongside him and former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony during their Las Vegas residency in September. "Come on, join us. Sing a couple of songs, M.C. the damn show," he said.

The invitation was particularly unexpected considering the complicated history between the two singers. Hagar replaced Roth in Van Halen in 1985, and the pair exchanged criticism for years before briefly touring together in 2002.

Roth helped lead Van Halen through its rise in the late '70s and remained with the band through the massive success of 1984. He later returned as frontman in 2007 and stayed through the group's final active years.

The current cancellations interrupt a comeback that began after Roth announced his retirement in 2021. His planned farewell residency was canceled due to circumstances related to COVID-19, but he eventually returned to the stage in 2025 and continued touring into 2026.

For now, Roth's Sturgis appearance remains scheduled. He has not publicly explained the other cancellations or responded to Hagar's invitation.

More than two decades after first coming together, Hypno5e is preparing to begin its next chapter.

The French progressive metal outfit has announcedTrame Noire, its seventh studio album, which arrives Nov. 6 via Pelagic Records.

Alongside the announcement, the band unveiled the album's lead single, "Lost Fires," an eight-minute epic accompanied by a cinematic music video that reflects the group's immersive approach to heavy music.

"This time I wanted to discover another language," said guitarist and vocalist Emmanuel Jessua in a statement. "Every album should tell its story differently. I never want Hypno5e to become predictable."

Formed in 2003 in Montpellier, France, Hypno5e has built a devoted following by blending progressive metal, post-metal, cinematic soundscapes, and spoken-word passages into expansive concept albums. Rather than following conventional song structures, the band has become known for crafting emotionally charged compositions that often feel as much like films as they do records.

Trame Noire continues that tradition.

The five-track album features "Lost Fires," "Falmer," "Molecular Angel," "Bare Bones," and the title track. The "Lost Fires" video was conceived as a short film exploring shifting landscapes and the hidden layers of the self, underscoring the cinematic storytelling that has become a hallmark of Hypno5e’s work.

"Rather than offering answers, the film embraces disorientation as a way of encountering what lies dormant, allowing the unknown to surface with the unsettling familiarity of something that was never truly lost," the band said.

The new album follows 2024's Sheol, which further expanded the band's reputation for ambitious, emotionally resonant progressive metal. Over the years, Hypno5e has earned praise for pushing beyond genre boundaries, seamlessly incorporating elements of post-rock, ambient music, and experimental composition into its crushing yet melodic sound.

While the band has never chased mainstream success, its influence has steadily grown within the progressive and post-metal communities. With a career spanning over five decades, Chicago has become one of the most successful rock bands in history, selling more than 100 million albums worldwide and receiving many honors, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. But there was one period after a successful run in the ‘70s when the band experienced a commercial slump that found them desperate to make a change. That nearly half-decade stretch of time led to a major shift in their original sound.

In 1977, according to Stereogum, Chicago’s “Baby, What A Big Surprise” served as their final Top 10 hit of the decade and was recorded with original guitarist Terry Kath before his tragic death in 1978. Not long after that, the band, which faced multiple lineup changes over the years, split from their longtime manager and were subsequently dropped from their label, Columbia Records. 

Enter the ‘80s, when big guitar riffs, layered synthesizers, anthemic choruses, and soaring vocals dominated the airwaves; Chicago’s trademark horn-heavy sound was no longer a match for the new production styles that were gaining attention. Thus, the band decided to bring in David Foster, a rising hitmaker who took a hands-on approach in shaping the band’s material, but would go on to become an influential producer. 

Chicago’s lead singer and bassist Peter Cetera co-wrote “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” with Foster. The power ballad ultimately revived the band, but sidelined many of its members except for Cetera and drummer Danny Seraphine. According to American Songwriter, Foster, instead, enlisted the help of Toto members Steve Porcaro, David Paich, and Steve Lukather, who played on the recording, eliminating the horn section, but bringing the band back to the top of the charts. 

Released on May 17, 1982, and appearing on Chicago’s album, Chicago 16, “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart that same year, on Sept. 11, and stayed for two weeks. The song spent 12 weeks in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also topped the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” also earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal.

Tom Schwartz isn't letting internet trolls get the last word.

The Valley star, 43, took to his Instagram Story on Thursday, July 23, to fire back at a tabloid claiming he looked "unrecognizable" these days. The piece, paired with photos of Schwartz walking his dogs in Los Angeles in a striped tee and jeans, described his usual upbeat energy as noticeably absent in the images and pointed to the closure of his and Tom Sandoval's Hollywood bar, Schwartz & Sandy's, as part of the narrative. Schwartz didn't hold back in his response, sharing a screenshot of the article with a pointed warning and a crying emoji.

His girlfriend, Kiana Carroll, jumped in to defend him too, sharing a lighthearted video of Schwartz by a pool with the caption suggesting the unflattering photos were simply the result of a bad angle.

Schwartz and Sandoval remain minority stakeholders in TomTom, the L.A. restaurant co-owned by Lisa Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd, which is currently up for sale. The two former friends and business partners went through a rocky stretch following the fallout of Sandoval's affair with former costar Raquel Leviss, which put added strain on Schwartz & Sandy's. Speaking on Nick Viall's Viall Files podcast in May, Schwartz admitted the situation nearly cost them their friendship. Since then, though, the two have reconnected. "I actually had a really good conversation with Sandoval yesterday," he said. "I talked to him for like an hour... he sounded so good and optimistic."

For now, Schwartz seems focused on moving forward, bad angles, bar closures, and internet criticism included.

Your favorite color can say a myriad of things about you. For starters, color psychologists have a lot to note if your favorite color is red, but even if you don't feel particularly strong about it, it's also a color that you can wear to make you look more confident (and maybe feel it, too). Basically, this is all to say that color plays a bigger role in your life than you might think. While there are certain hues (like red) that evoke a sense of action and analytical thinking, there are other colors more deeply associated with the part of our brain that's receptive and open to information. If you've ever been told you're an intuitive person, there are some colors you're most drawn to that will confirm it, color psychology expert Michelle Lewis says.

Intuitive or highly perceptive people naturally gravitate toward certain hues because they help your brain tune into and hone your abilities. They also create the right state of mind for you to access your intuition. There are, of course, other intuitive-leaning tools like tarot, astrology and energy work, but learning to harness the power of color in your day-to-day life is easy, fun and helps you dive deeper into your intuition without a lot of effort. If you find yourself inherently drawn to the below favorite colors of especially intuitive people, Lewis says you're naturally gifted.

What Does Color Psychology Say About Intuition and Intuitive People?

"Intuition" is a word we hear often, but what does it really mean? Especially in relation to color psychology. Lewis describes intuition as an innate feeling or knowing.

"And color psychology is fundamentally the study of how color produces feelings," she explains. "That connection is more direct than most people realize. When we encounter a color, our nervous system responds before our conscious mind has processed what it's seeing."

Physiological responses like heart rate shifts or changes in cortisol levels and brainwave patterns produce different emotional and mental states. According to Lewis, some states are far more conducive to intuitive processing than others.

"What color psychology tells us about intuitive people is that they tend to be drawn to colors that quiet the analytical mind and make room for something deeper," she says. "Not because they've studied the neuroscience—but because their nervous systems already know what they need. In my experience working with clients, the colors an intuitive person consistently reaches for are almost always the ones that create the conditions where intuition can actually be heard."

Is There a Link Between Intuition and Color Preference?

Lewis also knows that there is a surefire connection between intuition and color preference. She shares a few more details on physiological processing and how it relates to the study of colors.

"Color triggers a reaction," she states. "That reaction produces a neurological state. And certain states—specifically alpha waves (eight to 12 Hz) and theta waves (four to eight Hz)—are the ones where intuitive processing lives. Alpha waves are the gateway between the conscious and subconscious mind. When they're dominant, the brain's analytical left-brain activity quiets, and the more intuitive, receptive depths become more influential."

She explains that theta waves go even deeper than that. They are associated with profound creativity, subconscious access and intuitive insight that arrives fully formed rather than needing to be reasoned out by the mind or processed thoroughly.

"Research from NeuroHealth Associates identifies theta waves specifically as connected to intuition, daydreaming, spiritual awareness and internal focus," she adds.

It's then not a stretch that someone who's highly intuitive would gravitate toward certain colors.

"When someone repeatedly gravitates toward colors that produce alpha and theta states, they're not just expressing aesthetic preference," she notes. "They're drawn to the conditions their intuition needs to function: essentially, the nervous system finding its way to what it needs."

5 Favorite Colors of Especially Intuitive People, According to a Color Psychologist1. Violet

Lewis explains that in terms of wavelength, violet sits at the very edge of the visible light spectrum (the shortest, highest-frequency light our eyes can detect).

"What makes it neurologically remarkable is that a 2020 neuroscience study found violet environments increase theta wave activity in the brain—the same brainwave pattern most directly associated with intuition and subconscious access," she shares.

2. Blue

Lewis says that blue has a calming effect on the nervous system, connecting it to your intuition. Highly intuitive people are often drawn to blue for this reason.

"A peer-reviewed study published in PMC found that blue lighting accelerates post-stress relaxation and supports alpha wave production, moving the brain toward exactly the state where subconscious processing becomes more accessible," she explains. "Intuitive people aren't necessarily calm people, but they tend to need calm to access what they know. Blue creates that condition reliably. In my color personality framework, blue lovers are introspective, deliberate and deeply inner-directed—qualities that map directly onto how intuition actually works."

She also adds that functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) research published in the same study shows blue increases activity in the prefrontal cortex of the brain, the region responsible for creative problem-solving and integrative thinking.

3. Indigo

Indigo is a hue that sits between violet and blue on the visible spectrum. Lewis says that, psychologically, it carries qualities of both while holding something unique.

"Research published by CogniFit, summarizing peer-reviewed neuroscience, links indigo specifically to activity in the brain's default mode network—the system that activates during rest, reflection and internal processing rather than external focus," she shares.

She also says that the brain's default mode network is as close to a neuroscientific home for intuition as we have.

This is where the brain processes stored experience, makes unexpected connections and generates the kind of insight that arrives from within rather than from analysis.

"Indigo turns our gaze inward," she continues. "People drawn to it tend to be deeply perceptive, highly introspective and comfortable operating from a level of awareness that goes beyond what they can immediately explain. This is a precise description of someone whose intuition is both strong and trusted."

4. Green

Green is somewhere in the middle of the visible spectrum and, as Lewis says, one of the most neurologically balanced—it's neither activating nor sedating. Instead, it's restorative.

"Research from Briki and Majed published in Frontiers in Psychology confirmed green environments produce measurable reductions in heart rate and stress markers," she states. "For intuition specifically, that restoration matters because intuition is quieter than analytical thought—it gets drowned out by noise, stress and overstimulation. Green creates the kind of settled, open internal environment where softer signals can actually be felt."

People drawn to green tend to be grounded, heart-centered and attuned to what's happening beneath the surface in any room—all qualities of a highly intuitive person.

5. Gold or Yellow

Lewis cites legendary Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung's research for why gold and yellow are linked with intuitive people.

"Carl Jung's direct clinical observation was that yellow and gold represent the intuitive function," she says. "[It's] 'felt to shine and radiate,' capable of illuminating what rational thought cannot reach. In color psychology, yellow is the color of the 'aha' moment—the flash of insight that arrives before reasoning has caught up. Jung noted that you could see intuition in an intuitive person's eyes [when he said], 'they do not look at things, they gleam towards them.'"

According to Lewis, gold, while definitely a shade of yellow, specifically carries the depth and warmth that pure yellow lacks.

"It's a yellow that has been tempered by experience, which is also a good description of mature intuition," she adds. "People drawn to gold tend to operate from a deep sense of inner knowing that has been tested and proven over time."

Are There Specific Colors Linked To Repressed Intuition?

While there are colors that intuitive people are naturally drawn to, there are also colors that can have the opposite effect on the brain. This, in turn, can lead to repressed intuition. Lewis breaks it down a bit more below.

1. Red

Lewis explains that red has the longest wavelength in the visible spectrum and triggers the fastest, strongest response in the visual cortex.

"It activates the nervous system toward urgency, alertness and action, pushing the brain firmly into beta wave dominance," she says. "Beta waves are the waves of normal waking consciousness and active analytical thinking."

Basically, beta waves are essential for getting things done, and they're considered the neurological opposite to the receptive, subconscious-accessible state where your intuition lives.

"A person surrounded by or frequently drawn to red is operating in a mode that values decisive action over quiet knowing," she adds. "That's not inherently wrong, but it does mean intuition is likely being overridden rather than heard."

2. Orange

Lewis describes orange as one of the most cortically activating colors in the brain because it combines red's long-wavelength energy with yellow's brightness.

"A 2021 Behavioral Sciences study found orange produced significantly higher arousal responses than green or yellow backgrounds," she explains. "A systematic review of 128 years of color psychology research published in PMC found orange consistently linked to high-arousal emotional states across 64 countries and 42,266 participants. High arousal is the enemy of intuitive reception—the nervous system in a high-arousal state is scanning for threat and opportunity, not listening for the subtle signal of inner knowing."

3. Neutral White, Black and Gray

While these colors are great for your capsule wardrobe, Lewis says that these less vivid, flat shades can signal repressed intuition.

"When someone avoids color altogether—reaching for stark white, clinical gray or flat black—that too can signal a kind of repressed intuition," she says. "Not because those colors are inherently suppressive, but because a life stripped of chromatic stimulation may be a life that has learned to distrust feeling as a source of information."

One of The Rolling Stones' underrated ballads, "Memory Motel", was written before hitting the road to go on tour, withMick Jagger having penned the lyrics based on a reported romantic encounter.

By 1975, the rock band was in the spotlight nonstop, and creating music was at the forefront of everything they did behind-the-scenes. That year, they decided to take a small break before finalizing their North American tour and cutting their next album. Jagger and Keith Richards decided to stay at Andy Warhol's Eothen estate in Montauk, New York.

According to SongFacts, the Memory Motel was a real-life location that was near the estate and one of the only places with a pool table and piano. The rock stars spent a lot of time there as a result. Believe it or not, the motel owner wasn't too happy with the rockers being there and wasn't a fan of their music. Jagger would start writing "Memory Motel" before returning to go on the road and finishing the track.

"Memory Motel" is considered one of the Rolling Stones' classic ballads that was never released as a single. As only part of the Black and Blue album, the track never entered the Billboard charts. It was also one of the first tracks to have Jagger and Richards sharing lead vocals, and one of the band's longest at over seven minutes.

When it came to the track's lyrics, many believed Jagger's "Hannah baby" was referring to singer Carly Simon. The two were reportedly romantically linked around the time the track was created, with fans theorizing Simon's "You're So Vain" had been about a one-night stand with the rocker. Rolling Stone magazine founder Jann Wenner once claimed photographer Annie Leibovitz was behind the song, as she covered the band and was "sleeping" with Jagger.

Christopher Lawrence of Avenue Magazine reported that he found "Hannah" by accident and proved she was the one-night romance "Memory Motel" is about. The woman explained how she was walking her dog down on the beach below the compound when she ran across the property to reach a private road.

"It had just started to rain when Mick pulled up slowly in a vast sedan, a Lowenbrau wedged between his legs. At first she demurred, but as he drove away — even more slowly, to let her consider it — she thought, “What am I, crazy?” and ran to the car. Back at her place, things, ahem, took off. It was, after all, 1975. The affair “just felt so easy and natural,” she told me. The world’s biggest rock star facing the world’s biggest tour made every last move seem effortless," he wrote.

The woman added that she even made the rocker breakfast and never felt "dirty or used" about their night together. No one in Montauk made a big deal of the band being there "because they didn’t make a big deal. Montauk gave them their space.”

Did Sasha Farber and Janel Parrish break up?

Dancing With the Stars fans took to Reddit this week to share clues that the former pro dancer and the Pretty Little Liars actress, who was a finalist on Season 19 of the reality series with Val Chmerkovskiy, may have called it quits.

Fans pointed out that Parrish wiped all photos of the two from her Instagram, while Farber recently shared a post with the caption, "Sometimes I just wanna pack up and move to Italy where life is less stressful 🇮🇹 ☕️."

The couple first sparked romance rumors by posting dance videos to social media before Farber hard-launched the relationship on Instagram on April 27. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 33rd Annual Race to Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles on June 5.

Parrish filed for divorce from her husband of seven years, Chris Long, in April 2026. The divorce was finalized the following month.

In an interview with People in May, Parrish called Farber "such a light."

"He just brings so much love and light and positivity to people in the world," the actress said. "He's just the best."

Parrish also said that Farber is "the sweetest," adding that "cooking is his love language."

"He's an amazing chef. I literally was just filming a movie every day until 7:30 p.m. and I'd walk in the house and he would have a full spread for me," she continued. "I'm just very, very lucky."

On Reddit, however, fans weren't too surprised by the possibility that the couple had split.

"Relationships that start that intensely rarely last. Add in the fact just ended a marriage... it was not likely to work out," wrote one fan.

"They were doing THE MOST on social media so fast so not too shocked..." said another.

"Just goes to show you that you can’t believe everything you see on social media," added a third.

"This was always going to be how things ended. They were sooooo over the top with the posts about being in love," wrote a fourth. "You’d have thought it was two teenagers posting about their first relationship, but even then, especially immature ones."

Neither Farber nor Parrish has commented on the breakup rumors.
