There’s one 1970s love song that offers hope in the face of heartbreak, and that’s the emotional 1979 hit "The Rose" by Bette Midler. Unlike many love songs, the iconic hit doesn't focus on romance alone—it transports listeners through loss, fear, taking chances, and resilience. That's why it may surprise fans to know this classic song that says so much came together remarkably quick.

"I was attempting to write a rock 'n' roll song," songwriter Amanda McBroom recalled to Billboard, "My manager told me it was time to write some Bob Seger-type tunes so we could get a record deal."

Little did McBroom know the legendary pop ballad was ready and waiting to come pouring out of her. "I sat down and 45 minutes later there was 'The Rose,' she said. "It was the fastest song I've ever written, and I never changed a word."

The quick-turn writing didn't affect the song's lasting impact, however. Sometimes that's just how the best songs come together. It came together fast and true, and nobody expected it to become a classic.

Cut to Bette Midler. She was the right singer, at the right time, and Midler and the song were both connected to the 1979 film The Rose, which is loosely based on the tragic life and career of rock singer Janis Joplin. Midler's emotional performance of the song elevated the song to the version we all know and love today.

"The Rose" opens with a single delicate piano and then emerges Midler's voice, soft and vulnerable to start. The poetic lyrics take the listener through the many contrasting, often dark, emotions that can come with love. Midler's precision makes the track feels like melancholy and optimism at the same time, as her vocals build into the unforgettable crescendo, "When the night has been too lonely / And the road has been too long" and then soften again with the almost-whisper of hope that sails, "Just remember in the winter / Far beneath the bitter snows / Lies the seed that with the sun's love / In the spring becomes the rose."

McBroom says she believes the song connected with millions of fans because, "It's a message of hope that's very easily understandable." She's not wrong, but she's also underselling its emotional relatability. Especially after a heartbreak, any one of us can relate to the fear of putting ourselves out there again, the fear of taking that risk, of getting hurt. It's a very human thing. But the song also says love is still worth pursuing after disappointment. The lyrics give hope.

Midler's iconic song "The Rose" debuted in the closing credits of the drama The Rose, which hit theaters in early November 1979. It was included on the album The Rose: The Original Soundtrack Recording at the same time before being officially released as a single in March 1980. "The Rose" hit No. 1 on the Cashbox Top 100 and, by June 1980, it peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for over a million copies sold in the United States.

Over the years, there have been countless covers of the song, including ones that also became hits in their own right, like the versions by Conway Twitty (1982), Hothouse Flowers with The Dubliners (1991), and Westlife (2006). Lea Michele sang "The Rose" in an episode of Glee in 2014, and it has popped up in Family Guy (2008), True Detective (2015), Goliath (2019). The love anthem was also featured in the moviesOnly Yesterday (1991) and Napoleon Dynamite (2004).

Almost five decades later, listeners keep returning to the legendary vocal ballad. To date, the love ballad has over 202 million streams on Spotify.

"The Rose" may have been written in less than an hour, but its message of comfort and hope is timeless.

The iconic '70s rock band Foreigner has added dates to their 2026 50th anniversary tour. The exciting news was announced on Monday via Instagram, leaving longtime fans thrilled.

The multi-leg trek, dubbed the Celebrating Fifty Years Tour, was initially announced in early January. The massive global run will travel to over 90 cities across Europe and North America throughout the summer and fall, honoring the band's outstanding generation-spanning discography. Joining Foreigner is their original lead singer Lou Gramm, as well as legendary rock acts Night Ranger and Lynyrd Skynyrd, who will serve as support for select shows.

Following extremely high demand, many of the dates announced have sold out. In Germany specifically, all venues have been filled, prompting the group to release new dates for next year. "After a sold-out anniversary run across Germany, we're bringing the celebration back in 2027...this time to the country's biggest arenas, with special guests Europe!"

A former FBI agent is pointing to one early detail in the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance that she says stood out as unusual during a review of initial response information.

In an interview with NewsNation's Brian Entin, retired agent Maureen O’Connell discussed the case, reflecting on what investigators were reportedly told in the early stages following Guthrie’s disappearance from her Arizona home.

“The thing I found very, very interesting was that the family let the first responders know—this is based on the dispatch recordings—that they had no access or control over any of the cameras around that house,” O’Connell said on the June 8 episode of Brian Entin Investigates.

She added that Guthrie’s cameras were reportedly installed for wildlife observation, a detail she said made sense but still stood out to her.

“And I guess the general understanding is that Nancy only put the cameras up for wildlife purposes—which I understand. I mean, I think it’s great in a situation like that. It’s cool to watch the birds and everything like that,” she said.

“I just found that strange,” O’Connell continued, adding that if it were her own family member, she would have wanted access to the footage “just in case.”

Investigators have continued to work through thousands of tips and pieces of evidence in the months since Guthrie, 84, disappeared, but no suspect has been publicly identified. Authorities have also not confirmed whether surveillance footage from nearby homes or other sources has provided any usable leads. The case remains active, with officials urging anyone with information to come forward as the search for answers continues.

Simon Cowell has mellowed a lot since the days when he was known for his snarky critiques on American Idol. These days, an act really has to tank for the Brit wit to buzz them off the America’s Got Talent stage and he also offers constructive criticism.

Some of the change may be attributed to his many years of living – at least part-time – in Southern California and developing a more laid-back approach to life than he previously had. But the 66-year-old also explained to a small group of reporters on a Zoom call that he pays attention to what the audience is experiencing. It’s not 100 percent his opinion.

“I would say more than 50 percent of what I say is based on what I feel behind me,” he said. “Normally, when an act is performing, I spend quite a bit of the time looking around me. You can sense a change in the energy when someone’s good to very good. Everyone's very enthusiastic. However, when someone really, really nails it, the energy shift is incredible, and if you're aware of that change and I'm very [open] to it, I can feel it, and it does help me determine what I'm going to say, how I'm going to say it.”

Also, unlike his Idol days, Cowell says that he and his fellow judges spend time speaking with members of the audience in between performances, not often seen on a talent show. That's because a lot of them have been coming to watch the AGT auditions for years.

“We have as much fun in between the acts talking to the audience as we do actually during the auditions,” he shares. “When you've got an enthusiastic audience behind, you have no idea how much it helps. I can remember shooting one year during COVID where we had nobody behind us and that was really tough.”

One favorite of Cowell’s is a woman named Beverly, who’s a nurse, who comes whenever she has time off, and they’ve become good friends. But there’s also another family of fans who took their love of the show one step further.

“There's one family who bought one of the old judges' desks from Got Talent on auction and they put it in their house,” he says. “They watch the show behind the desk whenever the show's on and they come, I swear, to nearly every taping. There's lots and lots and lots of stories like that over the years where we've gotten to know people and we invite them back and we consider them friends.”

Why Retirees Are Going Back

There are a variety of reasons someone might want to return to work after retirement. Rising costs and inflation are the first that come to mind, and many retirees are returning to work to help ease the monthly bills. According to a report by Merrill Lynch, 29% of retirees are still working for pay.

It’s Not Just About The Money

But having more money isn’t the only reason to return. A Kiplinger piece notes that 88% of retirees who return to work do it simply because they enjoy it. The structure, social aspect, and, yes, increased monthly income, are all reasons to continue working after 65. 

In addition, keeping a solid routine can improve both your mental and physical health, according to AARP. A loss of social interaction and daily structure contributes to cognitive decline and increased physical ailments. A side job you’re passionate about not only feels fulfilling, it actually improves your overall health as you age.

Not Like Your Old Job

Finding a second career in retirement can mirror your previous professional life, but it doesn’t have to. In fact, many retirees who choose to work often do so in a field they’re passionate about but may not have had the time to explore before. 

There are significant benefits to trying something new. Your side job may have been a hobby before, so it’s something you’re already good at and like. You may also have additional funds to help with start-up costs. Even if you decide to work for someone else, it may be in a cozy job you always dreamed of, but wasn’t financially viable for you while building your nest egg.

Working in a bookshop or pet shelter can be extremely fulfilling and a great way to supplement your income. While the paycheck may not have sustained you before retirement, now that passion will act as a boost to your bottom line rather than a hindrance.

Neko Case of the New Pornographers announced some exciting news.

The lead singer of the Canadian indie rock group announced on Instagram that she will be returning to the road this fall for a second North American leg of her tour supporting her 2025 album, Neon Grey Midnight Green. Case previously toured in support of the album earlier this year.

Case will kick off her lineup of shows in Lexington, Massachusetts, on Oct 15, and conclude the tour at Tacoma, Washington, for two nights on Nov. 11 and 12. In between, she is set to visit various venues in Canada, the East Coast and the Midwest. Special guests and bands joining her for select shows include Team Dresch, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Girl Trouble and Destroyer, the latter her New Pornographers bandmate.

Born in Virginia and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Case first gained attention in the 1990s through the alternative country and indie scene, thanks to her work as a member of the New Pornographers, before establishing a successful solo career. Over the years, she has released critically acclaimed albums including Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, Middle Cyclone and Hell-On, earning multiple Grammy nominations.

In addition to her music career, Case is known for her advocacy on environmental and animal welfare issues. In addition to touring, she released her debut memoir, The Harder I Fight The More I Love You, earlier last year.

After the release of Neon Gray Midnight Green, she spoke with Grammy.com about the writing and producing process of her latest album. One of the unique features of the record is that Case produced it herself and had a live band and orchestra playing in the studio.

"I want people to remember what it sounds like when musicians are all playing together, which is why I wanted to have an actual orchestra on this record," she answered. "Not that I have anything against using a synthesizer or a keyboard to make a string section or something, I like those things too, but this time, at least, I wanted the record to be musicians all in the same room and playing together."

And for the theme park foodies, holiday-appropriate themed specialty foods will be offered. We're most excited about the Fast & Furious 25th anniversary menu, which has an LA-style hot dog among its grub and fuel choices. Then fitting in with the red, white, and blue vibes are the Jaws snacks and desserts. Among the shark bites, the themed selections will feature a lobster roll, an Amity Island parfait, and an Open Waters cocktail.

We checked in with Octavia Morgan, the founder of OCTAVIA MORGAN Los Angeles, and asked her to share some tips for selecting the best perfume for your personal style. The fragrance savant offers some insight into what makes a perfume smell different on everyone. Longevity is always a big topic related to fragrance, so we asked her how long a good perfume is actually supposed to last and how to make it last longer on your skin as well.

Morgan also breaks down the difference between eau de parfum and eau de toilette to give you a better idea of what to look for when you're shopping for your next favorite fragrance.

According to Morgan, perfume holds a special place in our beauty routines.

"Fragrance should feel like an extension of who you are. Before choosing a perfume, think about how you want to feel when you wear it. Do you gravitate toward fresh and clean scents, warm and sensual fragrances or bold statement makers? Your fragrance should complement your personality, lifestyle and the impression you want to leave behind," she tells Parade.

Morgan also recommends paying attention to fragrance families (ie. floral, woody, gourmand, fresh or amber).

"Explore the notes that consistently appeal to you," she says. "Most importantly, wear the fragrance on your skin and allow it to develop over several hours before making a decision."

What Makes a Perfume Smell Different on Everyone?

Have you ever noticed that one scent can smell like a different fragrance from one person to the next? There's a simple reason for that.

"Every person's skin chemistry is unique. Factors such as skin pH, hydration levels, body temperature, hormones and even diet can influence how a fragrance develops. This is why a perfume can smell completely different on two people wearing the exact same scent," Morgan says.

How Long Should a Good Perfume Last?

We've all tried perfumes that seem to dissipate shortly after we apply them. Ideally, a quality fragrance should last between six and 12 hours "depending on its concentration, composition and how it interacts with your skin," per Morgan.

Of course, there's always an exception to the rule.

"Richer fragrances containing woods, amber, musk, vanilla and resins often have greater longevity than lighter citrus-based fragrances," she says.

What’s the Difference Between Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette?

If you use the terms "eau de parfum" and "eau de toilette" interchangeably, you may not have realized that they're actually different types of products.

"Eau de Parfum (EDP) contains a higher concentration of fragrance oils, typically between 15% and 20%, resulting in greater longevity and depth," Morgan says. "Eau de Toilette (EDT) contains a lower concentration, usually between 5% and 15%, creating a lighter, fresher fragrance experience."

How To Make Perfume Last Longer on Your Skin

On a busy day, you don't necessarily have the time to reapply your perfume. To ensure it goes the distance, Morgan recommends these tips:

• Apply fragrance to moisturized skin.
• Layer with a body oil or unscented lotion.
• Focus on pulse points.
• Spray lightly on clothing when appropriate.
• Avoid rubbing the fragrance after application.

Since their domination in the 1970s, English band Led Zeppelin has become synonymous with the classic rock genre. In fact, the band even has an iconic song titled "Rock and Roll," off the 1971 album Led Zeppelin IV. According to Far Out magazine, the 3-minute and 40-second tune didn't take all that long to write and record.

The publication reported that while speaking to UnCut, Jimmy Page revealed what led to the making of "Rock and Roll" during the band's famous Headley Grange getaway. He explained that the song came about after drummer John Bonham performed some of Little Richard's 1956 song "Keep a Knockin'."

“We were recording something else when John Bonham started playing the drum intro to ‘Keep a Knockin’ by Little Richard, and I immediately started playing the riff for ‘Rock And Roll.’ Instead of laughing it off and going back to the previous song, we kept going. ‘Rock And Roll’ was written in minutes and recorded within an hour," said Page in the UnCut interview, per Far Out magazine.

Page made similar comments about the making of Led Zeppelin IV in a 2014 interview with Classic Rock Magazine. According to the 82-year-old guitarist, the songs "Rock and Roll" and "The Battle Of Evermore" "came out more or less out of thin air."

"I mean from my side of it anyway, the mandolin 'cause it was written on the mandolin. There were various things that happened like that," continued the musician.

He also shared that the band "we were routining 'Stairway to Heaven'" before the lyrics were complete. Page said, however, that once Robert Plant finished the lyrics, the band knew the song was something special.

"While we were going through it, and everyone was learning it, Robert was writing the lyrics in the same room. He was sitting down there writing in his pad. And then he eventually came to the microphone, started singing, and it was like, 'Wow, this is really, we're really on to something here.' Cause his lyrics were superb on it," said Page in the 2014 interview.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has met plenty of devoted fans over the years, but one recent interaction still managed to shock her.

The Jersey Shore star shared a TikTok from JBJ's Nashville, where a fan asked her to sign her arm, and then turned the autograph into a tattoo. Polizzi made it very clear that she checked more than once before the fan went through with it.

Later in the video, Polizzi showed the finished tattoo and introduced the tattoo artist, who identified herself as Vivian Laur from Nashville.

"Here it is from JBJ's," Polizzi said. The fan also confirmed she was happy with the result.

Polizzi then asked again, "Are we sure?" "I'm sure," Bianca replied.

Fans of one of soft rock's most enduring acts finally have a new album to look forward to.

Air Supply has announced A Matter of Time, marking the duo's first studio album in 14 years.

The group shared the news on Instagram, writing: "After 14 years, the wait is finally over!! We are thrilled to announce that our brand-new album, A Matter of Time, is now available for purchase!!"

The announcement ends a lengthy wait for fans who have been hoping for a follow-up to the duo's previous studio releases.

Air Supply also revealed that vinyl pre-orders are now available, with copies scheduled to begin shipping on June 24. According to the band, the initial vinyl editions will be signed by founding members Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock.

"This album has been years in the making, and we can"t wait for you to hear the songs we've created and share this journey with us," the duo told fans.

Formed in 1975, Air Supply became one of the defining soft rock acts of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The duo enjoyed a remarkable string of hits, including "All Out of Love," "Lost in Love," "The One That You Love," "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" and "Even the Nights Are Better." Those songs helped establish the pair as one of the most successful vocal duos of their generation, earning millions of album sales and a devoted international fan base.

"The first time I met [Graham Russell] was for rehearsals for Jesus Christ Superstar and we were amongst a few outcasts because most of the people had been in the production business and they were from a theatre background," Hitchcock told Unlocking Connecticut. "We have the same kind of sense of humor, same interest in movies, everything is pretty much like my twin brother."

Despite the long gap between studio albums, Air Supply has remained active on the road, continuing to tour extensively around the world and introducing its catalog to younger listeners.

The release of A Matter of Time gives fans something they haven't had in well over a decade: a full collection of new Air Supply music.

For a duo whose songs have remained staples of soft rock radio for nearly 50 years, the album represents an opportunity to add a new chapter to a remarkably enduring career.

After 14 years, Air Supply is proving that there is still plenty left to say, and fans won't have to wait much longer to hear it.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle caused a sensation back in 2020 when, having dramatically exited their roles as senior members of the royal family and fled to Canada, they purchased a $14.65 million property in the sleepy California town of Montecito.

But did you know that their house comes with a surprising name—and history?

The original estate was purchased by Cyrus and Nettie McCormick in 1896. Their family was one of the wealthiest in America, having made their fortune by kickstarting a mini-agricultural revolution with Cyrus's invention of the combine harvester.

The firm they founded went on to become the manufacturing giant International Harvester.

Cyrus and Nettie named their 84 acre estate Riven Rock Estate, after a boulder by the front gate that had been split in two by an oak tree growing out of it.

Later the estate was parcelled off into smaller areas of land. One of those parcels belongs to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and their house they live in is called Riven Rock Chateau.

It somehow manages to sound both romantic and creepy!

That might also have something to do with the fact that the Riven Rock Estate has a somewhat disturbing history. In 1998 T. C. Boyle wrote a novel called Riven Rock that was based on the life of Cyrus and Nettie's youngest son Stanely, who suffered from schizophrenia.

Because of the severity of his symptoms Stanley was kept confined at Riven Rock while his parents continued to develop the grounds of the estate, including a six acre lemon orchard and private dairy.

Stanley's wife Katherine was unfortunately unable to see him, as he had started to display violent tendencies towards her. But she remained devoted to Stanley, and unbeknownst to him she would sometimes visit Riven Rock in order to peek at him through keyholes.

Stanley died of pneumonia in 1947. Twenty-two years earlier Riven Rock's main house in the Mission Revival style had already been demolished following the 1925 Santa Barbara earthquake.

Today Meghan and Harry live a peaceful life in the Chateau of Riven Rock, which is surrounded by sweeping lawns, tiered rose gardens, Italian cypress trees, swathes of lavender, and olive trees that are over one hundred years old.

It is here that they are raising their children, Prince Archie (7) and Princess Lilibet Diana (5).

Meanwhile, the royal family is reportedly set to erase the final traces of Meghan and Harry from Frogmore Cottage, their former UK residence that was a grace-and-favor wedding ‘gift’ from Queen Elizabeth II to Harry when he married Meghan in 2018.

The $2.9m for refurbishments was provided from the Sovereign Grant, an allowance that the government provides to the queen based on profits from the Crown Estate (a collection of lands and holdings in the United Kingdom belonging to the British monarch.)

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex eventually paid back this money following their 'freedom flight' from the UK, and now it looks as though Frogmore Cottage will be undergoing yet another renovation—one that will remove any hint that it was once the royal couple's marital home.

According to Mike Pappis, a CFP® professional at retirement planning platform Boldin, your post-retirement spending should be about 80% of your pre-retirement income, something that’s agreed on by many financial planners. That’s a good starting point, but not a hard-and-fast number. Unexpected costs like car repairs, home improvements, or helping family financially often creep up. The 80% figure is a useful starting point, though many planners note it tends to underestimate early retirement spending and overestimate later spending.

If you think your monthly spending will be around $7000 comfortably, you may find that number doesn’t hold up in real life. That’s not a failure. Most people miscalculate, but it’s a fixable problem.

Spending Has 3 Phases

You’ll naturally spend more in the first decade of your retirement than you will later. A Realistic Budget

To figure out what a realistic budget looks like for you, break your spending into essential and non-essential spending. Groceries are essential while dining out isn’t, but you want to have a mix of both, so you don’t feel like you’re restricting yourself. 

If the market dips or you have more expenses one year, it’s easy to shave that extra money from your non-essential list. Knowing what you have to spend versus what you want to spend gives you a broader picture.

Laine entered FJ with just $2,200, significantly lower than McFerrin’s $11,400 and Li’s $10,400. He wagered jut $7, got it correct, and finished with $2,193, which ultimately won him the game. His minimal wager was a textbook move for a third-place contestant in a tight game, so protect what you have and hope the leaders stumble.

McFerrin and Li both answered incorrectly, wagering $9,401 and $8,599, respectively, and dropping down to $3,000 and $2,000. McFerrin, who had been dominant throughout his six-game run, ended his streak in heartbreaking fashion.

Laine will be back on Wednesday for his shot at a second win.

Hannah Berner has one warning for anyone stepping into reality TV.

The former Summer House star appeared on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, where she spoke candidly about what it can feel like to be part of a reality show while not fully knowing how the story will come together later.

In a clip shared on the podcast's Instagram account, Berner explained that reality stars may not always know what their "storyline" is while filming. According to her, one behind-the-scenes sign can tell a cast member a lot.

"You come in thinking, like, you don't know what's going on," she said, adding that reality stars may not be able to tell whether people are going to act like "they're bullying me" or "I should be yelled at right now."

Berner also spoke about how much of the story can be shaped after filming.

She added that confessionals play a major role in how viewers understand a scene. In Berner's view, the way a moment is framed depends on who is telling the story.

"I like to say, think of someone who doesn't like you, how they would tell a story," she said. "And then think of someone who does like you and how they tell a story. They decide who's going to tell the story."

Why Her Comments May Hit With Bravo Fans

Berner's comments are especially interesting because Bravo fans have spent years debating reality TV edits, reunion narratives and whether certain stars were given a fair portrayal.

Berner appeared on Summer House before leaving the Bravo series, and her time on the show remains one of the more debated chapters among fans. Since then, she has built a major post-Bravo career as a comedian and podcast host, including co-hosting Giggly Squad with fellow Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo.

Chrishell Stause is not the only familiar face walking away from Selling Sunset.

The Netflix reality series is heading into Season 10 with one of its biggest cast shakeups yet. While Stause's exit already marked a major turning point for longtime viewers, several other cast members have also confirmed they are not returning, including another original star whose departure suggests where the show may be headed next.

Mary Bonnet, who has been part of Selling Sunset since the beginning, is also stepping away from the series ahead of Season 10. The move is especially notable because Bonnet is not leaving The Oppenheim Group itself.

Mary Bonnet Is Leaving 'Selling Sunset,' but Not The Oppenheim Group

Bonnet told People that she is still the vice president of The Oppenheim Group, making it clear that her exit from the show does not mean she was pushed out of the real estate office.

"I'm the vice president of The Oppenheim Group, so yeah, I'm not fired," Bonnet told the outlet.

Her issue, she said, was with the series' direction. Bonnet explained that she originally thought the show would be about women's empowerment and real estate, but felt it had moved away from that.

"At the end of season 9, you can see that I'm not, I'm not okay with the direction that the office is going, that the show is going," she said.

Bonnet also criticized the way Season 9 was edited, telling People that she felt the edit was "extremely unfair" and made her look like she was "just overreacting the whole season."

Chrishell Stause Previously Said the Show Was No Longer Good for Her Mental Health

Stause previously revealed in November 2025 that she was leaving Selling Sunset after nine seasons.

According to People, Stause said at the time that being part of the series was "no longer good for my mental health."

Her exit was already a major blow to the Netflix show. Stause had been one of the central figures of Selling Sunset since Season 1, with viewers following her personal life, real estate career and shifting cast relationships for years.

But with Bonnet also leaving, Season 10 now looks less like one star's departure and more like the end of a major era.

Several Other 'Selling Sunset' Cast Members Are Also Out

The departures do not stop with Stause and Bonnet.

People reported that Nicole Young, Alanna Gold and Sandra Vergara have also said they will not return for Season 10. Young starred on the show from Seasons 6 through 9, while Gold joined in Season 8 and Vergara appeared in Season 9.

Vergara told The TMZ Podcast that she was not "that sad" about leaving and said another opportunity came up that felt more aligned for her. She also described Season 9 as "toxic and chaotic."

Gold announced in a May 19 Instagram video that she decided back in February to leave Selling Sunset before Season 10. She said she wanted to focus on other priorities, including real estate, a new business venture and her mental health.

There are also reported exits that are not as settled publicly. People noted that Emma Hernan and Chelsea Lazkani are also expected to leave, citing a TMZ report, but added that the two had not publicly addressed the reports.

'Selling Sunset' Season 10 Is Bringing Back Two Original Stars

The exits come as Netflix is bringing back two familiar faces.

Netflix confirmed in April that Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa are returning for Season 10. Both were part of the show's early run, and their returns give the next season a very different kind of hook.

Quinn left after Season 5, while El Moussa stepped away after Season 7. In Netflix's announcement, Quinn described her return as a "reintroduction." El Moussa also said she is coming back as a different version of herself after becoming a mother, a wife, and a business owner.

Why This 'Selling Sunset' Shakeup Feels Bigger Than a Normal Cast Change

Reality shows often rotate cast members, but this shakeup feels bigger because of who is leaving and who is returning.

Stause was one of the show's emotional anchors. Bonnet was one of its longest-running links to The Oppenheim Group's actual office structure. Young, Gold, and Vergara each represented later chapters of the series. If Hernan and Lazkani also do not return, Season 10 will look very different from the show viewers just watched.

The result is a season that may be less about continuing the same drama and more about rebuilding the show around a new balance of personalities.

NAUPA recommends using official state databases or MissingMoney.com, a free search tool that lets users search multiple participating states at once. If you've lived, worked, or attended school in more than one state, it's worth checking every location where you may have had financial accounts or received payments — unclaimed property doesn't expire in most states, so old accounts are still worth searching.

The federal government also maintains resources to help locate unclaimed funds. The U.S. government's official website directs consumers to state unclaimed property databases, where the vast majority of unclaimed money is held.

What Happens When You Find Unclaimed Money?

If a search returns a match, you'll typically need to submit documentation proving your identity and your connection to the listed address or account. Depending on the amount and the state, this may include a driver's license, proof of address, Social Security information, or other identifying documents.

Many people are surprised by what turns up. Some unclaimed property claims are worth just a few dollars, while others total hundreds or even thousands. According to NAUPA, roughly one in seven Americans has unclaimed property waiting to be claimed — and in 2025 alone, states returned more than $4.2 billion to rightful owners.

One critical rule when searching for unclaimed money: legitimate searches are always free. State governments do not charge residents to search for or claim their funds. While some third-party "finders" offer to locate unclaimed property for a fee, consumer advocates strongly recommend starting with official state websites or NAUPA-approved databases before paying anyone for help.

Searching for unclaimed money won't guarantee a hidden fortune — but it could reveal funds that are legally and rightfully yours. A few minutes of searching may be one of the easiest financial wins you'll find all year.
