McDonald’s Is Launching Something New This Month—and It’s Not What You Expect
McDonald's is expanding its menu, but in a direction that customers may not have anticipated. After numerous changes to its food offerings in recent months, McDonald's is now tackling its drink options.
According to the Wall Street Journal on April 13, McDonald's is aiming for the popularity of energy drinks and specialty sodas.
On April 10, the Instagram account SnackWire gave followers a sneak peek at what McDonald's drinks will soon be available. According to SnackWire, the new initial drink menu debuts on April 28.
Additional options are expected to be introduced later in the year, with some coming in August, noted the Wall Street Journal.
McDonald's has not yet confirmed the list of new drinks it is adding to its menus later this month. In the meantime, the new drinks reportedly include:
- Strawberry Watermelon Refresher
- Sprite Berry Blast
- Mango Pineapple Refresher
- Orange Dream
- Dirty Dr. Pepper
- Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher
Reuters noted that McDonald's plans to price its new drinks very competitively, keeping prices below what customers may see for similar concoctions at Starbucks, Sonic, Dutch Bros., and other similar restaurants.
In December 2025, SnackWire shared that a handful of these drinks, along with a few others, were being tested in over 500 McDonald's locations.
In addition to the drinks listed above, testing options included a Sprite Lunar Splash, which included dried dragon fruit and lemon-vanilla syrup, a Popping Tropic Refresher, a Toasted Vanilla Cold Brew Frappe, a Creamy Vanilla Cold Brew, a Red Bull Peach Boost Energizer, and a Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer. Those may not be hitting menus this month, but fans may see them come later in the year.
Restaurant Dive shared that according to an email statement received from McDonald's, the chain believes that "Our fans' love for McDonald's beverages runs deep, from rallying for the return of Hi-C Orange Lavaburst to coining the iconic 'Spicy Sprite.'"
Behind the scenes, various locations have brought in new equipment and worked to streamline processes for staff to make the new drinks. The drink options are the latest additions made as McDonald's aims to adjust to changes in the economy and what customers want.
The Under $3 Menu and the Big Arch Burger are recent additions, and the return of the Snack Wrap has been a popular move among McDonald's customers.
The dirty soda trend is spreading rapidly after gaining popularity in part thanks to social media influencers and the stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

2012 Novel Turned Into a Movie Ranks Among Books With the Best Twist on Goodreads
When it comes to thrillers and mysteries, we need something that makes us think. We don’t want the same old endings, and that’s why Goodreads users are turning to lists to find something exciting. When it comes to the “Best Twists” lists, there’s a 2012 release that was turned into a movie just two years later, and it remains a highly recommended release.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn quickly gained a following due to its excellent twist. Those who watched the movie first had no idea what to expect, with the trailer doing an excellent job of hiding the way the story would go, and it’s no surprise that Flynn is now an author many people will read anything by.
‘Gone Girl’ Isn’t Afraid to Get Into the Darkness of PsychologyLike Flynn’s previous works, Sharp Objects and Dark Places, she isn’t afraid to get into the darkness of psychology with Gone Girl. That’s what makes her novels so intricately good. They make us think and feel in ways that we can’t with many others within the thriller genre.
However, it’s the twist that everyone ends up talking about. This twist is mind-bendingly good, and it’s no wonder that the novel sits in second place on Goodreads’ list of “Best Twists.” It’s just behind And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.
This novel starts off as a story of a woman who has disappeared. Of course, the husband is the main suspect, and the question becomes what he did to her rather than whether he did something. Then, around the halfway mark, everything is turned upside down. What you think you know isn’t clear, and you start to wonder who the reliable narrator is.
A Novel Quickly Turned Into a MovieIt can often take years for a good book to be turned into a movie. That wasn’t the case with Gone Girl. While the novel was released in May 2012, the movie starring Ben Affleck and Rosemund Pike was released in October 2014. It was clear that this was a story that people would love to see play out on the screen.
The story itself was loosely based on true accounts. Flynn took inspiration from the Laci Peterson case, where Laci disappeared while eight months pregnant with her first child. However, Flynn also took inspiration from Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf to avoid too many direct comparisons.

The Cooking Oil To Avoid if You Have Fatty Liver Disease, According to Gastroenterologists
When we think about our digestive system, our minds may gravitate toward our stomachs (and toilets—read: poop). But the liver plays a vital role that GI doctors are begging people not to overlook.
"The liver is responsible for processing and metabolizing most of the things that enter our body," explains Dr. Andrew H. Moore, MD, a gastroenterologist at Endeavor Health and the section head of gastroenterology and medical director of endoscopy at Swedish Hospital.
So, what we put in our bodies matters for our liver health, including the fats in cooking oils.
"There are different types of fat in the various cooking oils available, and these can have different effects on how fat is stored in the liver and the inflammation of the liver," Dr. Moore tells Parade.
This knowledge is especially important if you are at risk for fatty liver disease, are already living with it or simply and understandably want to avoid it. Though we often think of liver disease as a product of chronic alcohol misuse, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (aka metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease or MASLD) can affect people who don't consume much (or any) alcohol.
It's caused by excess fat buildup in the liver, and another gastroenterologist agrees that diet is a critical tool for treating your liver well.
"By understanding which oils are beneficial and which may be harmful, you can make informed dietary choices to protect your liver and manage or even reverse the early stages of fatty liver disease," says Dr. Rosario Ligresti, MD, the chief of Gastroenterology at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Avoid This Cooking Oil if You Have Fatty Liver Disease, Gastroenterologists WarnDr. Ligresti says that research (mostly from animal studies) has raised concerns about how certain processed seed oils, including soybean oil, can affect the liver.
Let's back it up for a second. What, pray tell, is soybean oil?
"Soybean oil is extracted from soybeans and is also high in unsaturated fats, particularly omega-6 fats," says Kathleen Benson, CSSD, CPT, RDN, a registered dietitian at VNutrition. "These fats are essential—meaning we do need them—but most people already get plenty of omega-6 in their diet and could benefit from getting more omega-3s."
According to Dr. Ligresti, some research conducted on mice suggests that soybean oil might contribute to obesity, diabetes, insulin resistance and fatty liver disease, including a 2017 Science Reports study.
"This may be because an excess of omega-6 fats can promote inflammation," he explains. "Some studies also suggest soybean oil can increase cholesterol accumulation in liver cells and amplify oxidative stress, potentially accelerating the progression to more serious liver inflammation."
Both doctors emphasize that you shouldn't panic. Dr. Moore says studies in humans contradict the animal studies, importantly noting that unsaturated fats may have a more positive effect on LDL cholesterol, metabolic and liver health.
"The issue with soybean oil is that it is often used in restaurants and usually reheated many times, which creates trans fats and other harmful substances to the body, so this may be a reason why it’s potentially more harmful, not the original contents of the oil itself," Dr. Moore notes.
So, speak with your healthcare team or a dietitian about the best cooking oils for your specific liver concerns (and consider how you use soybean oil and avoiding dishes with it when eating out).

The Best Alternative to Soybean OilCooking with oil is certainly not off the table if you want to keep your liver in good shape. Benson loves olive oil or avocado oil.
"They’re rich in monounsaturated fats and, in the case of olive oil, also contain polyphenols that support overall metabolic health," Benson states. "Swapping in olive oil as part of a Mediterranean-style eating pattern has fairly consistent evidence for improving liver fat and liver markers. So again, it’s not just the oil itself, but the overall pattern it tends to be part of."

Is Canola Oil Safe for the Liver?Canola oil is made from rapeseed and also contains more omega-6 fatty acids than omega-3s. The research on its effects on liver health is mixed.
"Canola oil has a more favorable fatty acid profile than many other vegetable oils, with low saturated fat and a higher content of plant-based omega-3 fatty acids (ALA)," Dr. Ligresti states. "Several human studies have shown positive outcomes."
For example, one trial indicated that consuming canola oil every day for six months could significantly improve the grade of fatty liver disease (how severe it is) and lower insulin resistance in men with NALFD. Another study suggested that replacing clarified butter with canola oil could lower a marker for fatty liver disease, the "fatty liver index."
That said, Dr. Ligresti adds that some animal studies indicate that canola oil "may not prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver and could even promote inflammatory markers."

4 More Tips To Keep Your Liver HealthyBeing mindful of the type of cooking oil you choose is one way to support liver health. Yet, the research on the effects of some cooking oils on health is a bit mixed (frustrating, we know). So, experts have four more tried-and-true ways to improve your liver health.
- Loose weight (if needed) or maintain a healthy weight. "When fat accumulates in the liver, it can cause inflammation, and this chronic inflammation leads to scarring or cirrhosis of the liver," Dr. Moore states, explaining that research supports that losing 7 to 10% of your body weight can lower liver inflammation and improve liver scarring and fibrosis before it snowballs into cirrhosis.
- Log regular, moderate-intensity exercise. Dr. Moore says that brisk walking, jogging, walking up stairs or swimming for 30 minutes daily, five times per week, can improve your metabolic health and reduce fat accumulation in the liver.
- Prioritize protein and fiber. "This helps with blood sugar stability and appetite, which supports insulin sensitivity and makes it easier to maintain a consistent intake overall," Benson says.
- Limit ultra-processed foods and added sugars, especially sugary drinks. Benson points out that these foods can lead to excess calorie intake and increased liver fat production.
If you're looking for a go-to eating plan to give your liver a boost, Dr. Ligresti is a fan of the Mediterranean diet.
"I recommend this approach because it emphasizes whole, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes, while using healthy fats like olive oil," he says. "This eating pattern has been consistently shown to reduce fat in the liver and improve overall metabolic health, which is crucial for managing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease."

Comedy Queen Lily Tomlin, 86, Makes Rare Appearance and Is Still Red Carpet Gold
Lily Tomlin is a legend of the stage and screen, and she's looking incredible at 86.
The comedy queen, who broke boundaries with the Broadway show The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, went on to earn a bevy of Emmy Awards for her work on television and appeared on hit TV series, including The West Wing, Murphy Brown, and Grace and Frankie. She even earned an Academy Award nomination for her role in Robert Altman's Nashville. Now that's quite the hefty resume!
While Tomlin is still active in the entertainment industry, she enjoys a quieter life these days. That's why we were delighted to see the legend hit the red carpet for day 2 of the 26th Annual Beverly Hills Film Festival at TCL Chinese Theatre this week in Hollywood, California. Sporting a bright smile on her face and a chic fedora on her head, Tomlin made it clear that she has barely changed a bit since her days in the limelight.

How Long Have Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner Been Together?Tomlin and Jane Wagner have been in a romantic partnership for more than five decades. The couple first met in the early 1970s, and Tomlin knew right away that she was lovestruck.
“A friend brought her to my hotel room,” Tomlin previously said, Variety reported. “And I tell you, in two minutes, I fell in love with her. She had on hot pants, stretchy boots that went up to her knee, and a little backpack. I don’t know what it was, but I was in love.”
More than 50 years ago, the couple is still going strong.
“She expresses how I feel, which I have no ability to do,” Tomlin said of her wife. (The couple formally married in 2013.) “She can express in words what I feel about the world, about humans, about the struggle that we’re in — and, presumably, not the inevitability of it all, something that I know speaks to other people.”

1953 Hit Song That the Artist Famously Hated Reached No. 1 on the Charts 73 Years Ago
Lita Roza, an English singer who was born in 1926, is most well-known for a song that she never actually liked. Her recording of “(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window?” reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart in April 1953, 73 years ago.
Roza made history as the first British woman to reach the spot. The song also caused the American Kennel Club's annual registrations to raise by eight percent. However, she never performed the song again after the original recording.
When speaking about the hit in a 2004 interview, Roza admitted, "I sang it once, just one take, and vowed I would never sing it again. When it reached number one, there was enormous pressure to perform it, but I always refused. It just wasn't my style.”
The song was a cover, originally written by Bob Merrill and recorded by Patti Page in 1952. Although Page's version wasn’t as famous as Roza's cover, it was still popular, selling over two million copies. It hit No. 1 on both the Billboard and Cash Box charts.
Fans have raved about this nostalgic song, with one saying, “This is great tribute to all dogs. I loved this song.” Another said, “I had a Jack Russell and I sang that song to him. He always barked at me and wagged his tail. I know he is in heaven having fun with the angels.”
“(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window?” was one of the most successful novelty songs ever created. Some others include "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" by Merv Griffin and the Freddy Martin Orchestra and "Purple People Eater" by Sheb Wooley.

Roza was born in Liverpool and got her first job as a singer when she was only 16. She went on to become the lead female singer with the Ted Heath Band in the 1950s, but in 1954, she left the band to pursue a solo career. She appeared as a lounge singer in the 1955 film, Cast a Dark Shadow, only two years after “(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window?” became a hit.
Roza died in 2008, at the age of 82. She left £190,000 to three dog-related charities, the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, and The Cinnamon Trust.
This 'Days of Our Lives' Legend Debuted 43 Years Ago Today in 1983—And Daytime’s Most Iconic Romance Was Born
On this day in 1984, Kristian Alfonso made her debut on the NBC soap opera Days Of Our Lives as Hope Williams, daughter of Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Addie Horton (Patricia Barry).
Alfonso was the fifth actress to portray the role of Hope, since the characters birth in 1974.
The character quickly became a fan favorite, largely due to her romance with Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), which evolved into one of the show’s most iconic supercouples.

In 1990, Reckell returned to the show full-time, and Alfonso briefly reprised her role for the fan-favorite ‘Cruise of Deception’ storyline. The arc ended dramatically, with Hope presumed dead after being dropped into a vat of acid by villain Ernesto Toscano.

The Long-Forgotten '50s B-Horror Movie That Marked Clint Eastwood's Official Big Screen Debut: 'Revenge of the Creature'
With the benefit of hindsight, it's easy to associate Clint Eastwood with his career-making performances in his numerous Westerns over the years.
Like fellow industry giants John Wayne or Gary Cooper, Eastwood helped redefine the entire Westerns genre for generations, as seen through his iconic work on films like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars and Unforgiven.
While closely recognized for his achievements within the larger Western genre, it's interesting to note that Eastwood's first on-screen appearance came courtesy of a little-known B-horror movie that earned almost universally negative reviews.
At the time of its release, 1955's Revenge of the Creature acted as a direct sequel to Universal's far better-received Creature from the Black Lagoon. While most viewers have long since forgotten the movie, Revenge of the Creature remains most notable today for the early appearance of Eastwood, who briefly appears as an uncredited lab tech in the film.
Though it's far from a substantial part, Eastwood does hand in a humorous enough moment as the absent-minded technician, right down to the moment he pulls a live rat from his lab coat after claiming to have lost the animal during an ongoing experiment.
The year 1955 proved an exciting year for the then 25-year-old Eastwood. The same year he appeared in Revenge of the Creature, the young actor also appeared in a string of movies, including Francis in the Navy, Lady Godiva of Coventry and Tarantula.
That same year, he also appeared in two different TV projects, starting with the TV movie Allen in Movieland and an episode of Highway Patrol. Of course, the actor's big break came courtesy of the wildly popular Western TV series Rawhide just a few short years down the line.
After appearing in the main role of Rowdy Yates for six years on the series, Eastwood managed to successfully transition back to a full-time role in film, eventually landing a starring role in the influential Western, A Fistful of Dollars.
Selma Blair on Her MS Healing Journey, the Joy of 'DWTS,' and More (Exclusive)
While Selma Blair may have a new lease on life following a public battle with multiple sclerosis, she's putting a positive spin on her past thanks to a new partnership that prioritizes comfort.
Launching Tuesday, the 'Cruel Intentions' star has teamed up with luxury apparel brand Mersea, for a capsule collection, entitled Sea La Vie, inspired from times she needed comfy clothes the most—while longing for days at the beach.
"I was in the heart of being really unwell and I was in bed a lot," she told Parade of when she first received an unexpected package from the brand she had already admired. "So when I was feeling better, now that I'm relapse free, and I'm definitely gaining stamina, I approached them, [and said,] 'Would you ever be interested in doing a collaboration?'"
The collection, which consists of matching pajama sets, sleep and beach accessories, a quilted "bed jacket" inspired by her mother, and more, is a nod to Blair's healing journey following her MS diagnosis in 2018, from when getting out of bed was a task in itself, to now, as she's back to traveling and working on various film projects.
"It's what I would dream... that I'd ever feel good enough and go to a beach," she said of when the sun would "decimate" her and she couldn't travel. "That's really what it embodies for me, and love of travel and love of experience and a lot of things that I don't have a lot of energy for."
While she still deals with fatigue and lingering mobility issues, she hopes that the brightness of the collection will also serve as a mental boost for anyone struggling physically.
"Even if someone's too tired to get out of their pajamas for the day, I want them to still feel special and beautiful and that they made an effort," she added.

And while Blair contributed to the designs, incorporating her own "preppy-leaning" style, she mentioned that some inspiration also came from her work, specifically that the use of navy blue was a "Vivian Kensington kind of navy," referencing her iconic role in 2001's 'Legally Blonde.'
These days, as she's slowly but surely returning to acting, Blair has a plus-one in her service dog, an English Labrador named Scout, whose been by her side since the early days of her diagnosis.
"I didn't think I'd ever go back to set," she said of projects that she has in the works, which includes a film starring Kelsey Grammar. "So now I'm like, 'Wait, when I'm on set, what do I do with [Scout]? Can you write a dog into the scene on the rug?'"
"[I'm] just getting my stamina and probably a movie in the fall, but we'll see how that turns out," she added of upcoming work.

And when it comes to selecting projects, she credits her experience on Dancing with the Starswith her newfound ability to be as open minded as possible.
"I used to have a certain snobbery about things, but now ever since doing Dancing with the Stars and finding such a broader audience of people that were affected by someone trying so hard, I realized that there's a lot of kindness in strangers out there," she said.
"That show brought me so much joy," she added. "And it was so needed, and I never would've wanted to do that show. I didn't know how to dance. I certainly wasn't moving that well that point in my life."
Partnered with pro Sasha Farber for Season 31 in 2022, Blair was not yet relapse free at the time and voluntarily left the competition. However, she struck a chord with viewers as her struggles with her autoimmune disease were on full display.
"I [went] from so many years not moving to pushing myself so much and that's why I had to leave the show in that fifth episode," she recalled. "So then I had to heal again. You get back into bed, hence the pjs."
"I wish I could go back, like a reunion show," she added.

Speaking of reunions, Blair regularly keeps in touch with former co-star Christina Applegate, who also suffers from MS. She mentioned that while they were always close, since starring in 2002's 'The Sweetest Thing' together, their shared diagnoses created a bond that she didn't expect.
"She'll always be an ear for me as soon as I text her or call her, usually we're in bed," Blair said. "She got me into Love Boat. She really likes Below Deck. She's a real fan of the nautical stuff, I'm more on land."
Of Applegate's debut memoir, Blair shared that she's "so proud of her right now" and that she'll "always be cheering her on."
"But I really have to make sure Christina gets this bed jacket," she noted, as she was sporting one herself. "I'm noticing her Instagram, everything's from the bed. I'm like, 'Oh wow, You're letting everyone know our secrets."

1964 Hit Film With 4-Time Oscar Winner Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’
Widely regarded as one of the pivotal moments in 1960s cinematic art, A Fistful of Dollars not only introduced a new kind of Western film but also established a lasting legacy that continues to influence the big screen decades later.
Released in January 1964 by Italian director and screenwriter Sergio Leone, the film introduced a new subgenre known as the “Spaghetti Western.”
It was a style of Western filmmaking produced by Italian companies that broke away from traditional production methods and storytelling conventions.
One of its unique techniques was shooting films without live sound and later dubbing dialogue and effects.
Moreover, the sequences are often paired with dramatic musical scores to heighten the atmosphere.
Beyond the bold storyline and experimental vision of the director, what also made A Fistful of Dollars a box-office hit was its stellar ensemble, starting with the iconic Clint Eastwood, who played the anti-hero, Joe, also known as the Man with No Name.

This film also sparked Eastwood's international stardom, further cementing his name in the industry.
Before rising to fame as a director and producer, earning four Oscar awards for films such as Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, the California native first established himself as an actor.
A Fistful of Dollars highlights the Man with No Name as a wanderer and a morally ambiguous character. However, his goal is to manipulate two opposing families into conflict for his benefit.
Joining him as lead stars were Gian Maria Volontè, who played the antagonist Ramón Rojo. He is the ruthless Winchester-wielding leader of the Rojo brothers.
Lastly, Marianne Koch played a local woman named Marisol. She was held captive by Ramón Rojo but was eventually rescued by Joe in what becomes his only truly selfless act in the story.
Despite not receiving any major recognition from award-giving bodies, A Fistful of Dollars received a strong public reception, making it a massive box-office success at the time.
The movie earned a gross of approximately $14,504,161 worldwide.
Decades later, it was considered among the highest-rated movies of all time, as cited by Rotten Tomatoes.
The popular review aggregation website for film and television unveiled the top 300 best movies of all time as reviewed by critics and users.
A Fistful of Dollars landed at No. 227 with a 98 percent Tomatometer, which represents the percentage of professional critic reviews that are positive, praising it for “great cinematography and score” as well as its “fantastic action-packed scenes.”

Adam Sandler’s Beautiful Daughters Steal the Show on the Red Carpet Alongside Their Proud Parents
Adam Sandler is one proud papa!
The legendary actor and comedian, who has done everything from stand-up comedy to starring roles in films by Paul Thomas Anderson and Noah Baumbach, counts being a dad as his favorite role. So when he got the chance to work the red carpet at the Roommates premiere alongside his wife, Jackie, and stunning daughters Sunny and Sadie, the comedy king didn't miss the chance.
The Roommates premiere had special meaning for the Sandler family, however. Sadie Sandler, 19, has a starring role in the film, which follows a college freshman who finds herself with a difficult roommate. With his wife and daughters by his side, Sandler couldn't have been prouder as he sported his typical red carpet sportswear.

How Does Adam Sandler Feel About Becoming an Unintentional Style Star? While Sandler will do almost anything to avoid wearing a suit, he didn’t set out to become a fashion icon. In fact, he does find the whole thing a bit humorous. When Complex asked him how he feels about the unintentional honor of wardrobe legend, Sandler simply laughed.
“It’s funny as hell,” Sandler explained while promoting Happy Gilmore 2. “And whenever one of my kids or their friends talks to me about it… my wife’s like, ‘What the hell are we talking about right now? How did that happen?’
“But my wife always was nice to me about my clothes,” he added. “Even when we were young, others would say, ‘Would you put on something better than that? Your wife’s dressed so beautifully.’ My wife would say, ‘He’s comfortable like that. Let him do that. Leave him alone.’ “
If you’re looking to emulate the actor’s style, he told Esquire a few years back what it takes to score his level of fashion knowledge.
“I go with a lot of XXL even though I’ve been told I don’t need a XXL,” Sandler told the publication. “I wear the XXL shirts. I wear the XXL shorts. I pull my socks up goofy and I wear my sneakers.”
He also advises sticking with stuff that’s worn in.
“Usually I wear the same clothes a lot because after it gets out of the laundry it feels even better. New stuff kind of gets me itchy.”

Crumbl Introduces a New First-Ever ‘Chocolate Experience’ for a Limited Time
As Crumbl works to evolve its menu beyond just cookies, they’re introducing a new “chocolate experience.”
Crumbl’s fudgy Brownie Dippers will be available in stores only from April 20-25 as part of their weekly rotating menu. Each order of Brownie Dippers will include a cup of bite-sized dippable brownie pieces, served alongside a smooth fudge frosting and chocolate sprinkles. Extra frosting cups are also available upon request.
As part of their April 6-11 menu, Crumbl introduced a new take on the sandwich cookie with their Dubai-style dessert. The cookie featured two thin, crispy, chewy chocolate cookies sandwiched with a layer of pistachio and Kataifi filling. Their newest Brownie Dippers are another way the dessert chain is putting its creativity on full display.
Crumbl/JBC PRTheir desserts aren’t the only way Crumbl is showing its innovation. In partnership with Interior Concept Design House, Crumbl recently moved into its new headquarters.
“I think sometimes people see Crumbl as this big corporation, but the truth is every single store is locally owned and operated,” Sawyer Hemsley, Crumbl’s co-founder, shared on Instagram, along with photos of their new location. “These owners are part of their communities. They care deeply... They’re the ones showing up early, staying late, and pouring everything they have into their stores.”
Hemsley continued, saying that when you support Crumbl, “you’re supporting real people, real families, real communities.”
Hemsley said that while they're still putting the final touches on their new headquarters, he was able to give his mom and sister a tour of the new location.
"Crumbl started with my small family and my cousin’s family," Hemsley said. "That was it.. We never imagined it would grow into what it is today!"
Before the Brownie Dippers arrive on April 20, stop by a local Crumbl store to try their first weekend of “Cookiechella,” which includes their brand new Confetti Cake Batter Cheesecake.
Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy’s Stunning Daughters Hit the Red Carpet With Their Famous Dads
Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock are two of the most famous comedians in the world, but their favorite roles might be that of proud fathers.
Murphy, 65, rose to fame as a stand-up comic before hitting Saturday Night Liveand going on to beloved roles in films like Coming to America, Trading Places, and Beverly Hills Cop. Rock, 61, also broke boundaries as a standup, and then went on to SNL. His UPN series, Everybody Hates Chris, earned critical acclaim, and he continues to sell out shows to this day. But the dynamic comedy duo found two special dates for the premiere of Netflix's Roommates this week at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood: Their daughters.
Rock was joined by his stunning lookalike daughter, Zahra Rock, 21, while Murphy was joined by his beautiful daughter, Bella Murphy, 24, with whom he even appeared on the cover of Essence Magazine back in 2021. Now those are two proud papas!

Eddie Murphy Is a HomebodyBack in November, Murphy made it clear that he's not one for hanging out with famous people all the time. In fact, he prefers to stay at home with his family. So what's the reason why he'd rather hang out at home than with other celebrities? Simply put, he thinks they’re “fake.”
“That’s one of the reasons why I don’t go to award shows and stuff, the feeling of being in a room full of famous people who all want win some trophy, that feeling is such a s—– feeling,” Murphy told USA Today. “Everybody’s dressed and acting and fake … just being in a room full of famous people is just a weird − I don’t like it.”
The natural homebody prefers to hang out with his loved ones.
“ I’ve always liked to stay around the house,” Murphy continued. “The people I know that do stand-up comedy … they do it because they love it. They love it. They get something from getting on that stage and feeling the energy and all, and I’m the exact opposite. My batteries get recharged in a quiet setting when I’m at home, or I’m somewhere where everything can slow down; that’s where I get energized. The crowd saps my energy.”

John Carpenter's 'Escape from New York' to Receive Upcoming Remake – And Fans Are All Saying the Same Thing: 'How About NO'
Forty-five years after the original stunned theatergoers across the globe, John Carpenter's iconic cult action film Escape from New York is currently scheduled to receive a long-awaited remake, as reported by IndieWire.
The announcement of the film came this past Monday at CinemaCon, with producer Studiocanal sharing few details about the project aside from the fact that it is currently in very early pre-production. Similarly, it's not yet known which cast or crew might sign on to work on the latest remake attempt of the cult classic '80s thriller.
As fans of the original might recall, Escape from New York featured a dystopian version of the U.S. where New York City has become a maximum security prison run by an authoritarian U.S. government.
When the President of the United States (Donald Pleasence) is kidnapped by opportunistic criminals inside the city, the government sends in disgraced ex-Special Forces operative Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) to rescue the president and avert the looming the threat of World War III.
Released to positive reviews at the time of its theatrical debut in 1981, Escape from New York has gone on to enjoy favored cult status in the decades since, with many fans and critics considering it one of director John Carpenter's best films.
With its iconic reputation today, most viewers remain largely ambivalent towards the idea of an Escape from New York remake, with one fan writing on IndieWire's Facebook post, "How about NO."
Of course, this is hardly the first time a remake of Escape from New York has been discussed by a major studio. As IndieWire pointed out, previous attempts to remake the film have been helmed by everyone from Joel Silver (Die Hard) and Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk till Dawn) to Radio Silence (Ready or Not), all of which have stalled out for some reason or another over the years.
Disneyland Paris’ New ‘Up’ Ride Has a Name—and It’s a Love Letter to Adventure
If you’ve been following the massive evolution of Disneyland Paris, you know that the former Walt Disney Studios Park is currently in the middle of a serious glow-up. Now officially known as Disney Adventure World, the park is trading its "behind-the-scenes" industrial roots for immersive lands like the newly opened World of Frozen.
But for those of us who still tear up during the first 10 minutes of Up, the biggest news just dropped. Disney has officially confirmed the name and details for the first-ever attraction inspired by the Pixar classic: Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings.
Slated to launch in 2027, this isn't a high-tech "mega-thrill." Instead, it’s a beautifully themed "flying chair" carousel—the kind of classic, wind-in-your-hair experience that perfectly mirrors the feeling of floating away with a thousand balloons.

View this post on Instagram The Design: Art Nouveau Meets PixarWhat makes this move so interesting is the aesthetic. Rather than just being a colorful kids' ride, the architecture will blend Art Nouveau influences with industrial wrought iron. Think elegant arches meeting whimsical cloud and balloon motifs.
According to details shared byWDW News Today, the queue is where the real storytelling happens. It will feature four distinct areas packed with "Easter eggs" from the film, including Carl’s boyhood aviator helmet and Ellie’s iconic "Adventure Book." It’s a move that prioritizes the feeling of the film over just the flash of a new ride.

A New Way to AdventureThe Sky Swings will be the centerpiece of the ongoing expansion that kicked off on March 29. While we wait for the Wilderness Explorers to officially recruit us for our "Aviation" badges, there’s already plenty to see in the new Adventure Way area, including:
- Rapunzel Tangled Spin: A whimsical new addition for the Tangled fans.
- The Regal View Restaurant: A high-end dining spot with a front-row seat to the park's new lakefront.
- The Gazebo Gardens: A rare, quiet "sanctuary" space for outdoor lounging.
