Robert Wagner Shares a Heartfelt Tribute to His Late Wife—and Fans Are Emotional

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:22am

Robert Wagner is honoring his late wife, Marion Marshall, on what would have been her birthday.

Wagner, 96, who starred in early series like It Takes a Thief and Switch, continued on TV in Hart to Hart before appearing more recently on Two and a Half Men and NCIS. He also had a successful film career, with roles in the Austin Powers trilogy and several other popular films. He’s also widely known as the former husband of Natalie Wood. But in a new Instagram post, Wagner honored his second ex-wife, Marshall, who passed away in 2018.

"Remembering my dear 2nd wife Marion Marshall on her heavenly birthday today. She brought so much joy and gave me our beautiful daughter Katie, while also blessing me with her wonderful sons, Peter and Josh. Today, I’m reflecting on the many memories we shared and holding Katie and Josh especially close in my thoughts," said Wagner, who split from Marshall in 1971.

Wagner Honored His Former Wife, Natalie Wood

Back in July, Wagner took to social media to share a throwback photo of himself with his former wife, Natalie Wood, who died at age 43 in 1981. The touching share was posted in honor of what would’ve been their 53rd wedding anniversary.

“Always a special place in my heart. Happy Anniversary Nat! More Than Love,” Wagner captioned the photo of himself and Wood, tagging the couple’s children.

View this post on Instagram How Did Natalie Wood Die?

Wood died on a boat trip to California’s Catalina Island. Her death was initially ruled an “accidental drowning,” PEOPLE shared. In a press conference, L.A. coroner, Dr. Thomas Noguchi, concluded that after accidentally falling into the water, Wood had attempted to board a dinghy, Vanity Fair reported. This is based on fingernail scratch marks on the inflatable boat’s side. Noguchi shared that he believed Wood had clung onto its side, but was weighed down by the heavy parka she was wearing, and couldn’t pull herself up from the water.

While some assumed Wagner was involved, Wood’s daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner, shared in her 2020 documentary, Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind, why she believes Wagner wasn’t involved in her mother’s death.

“It’s outrageous and completely unacceptable that others have created this narrative about my dad and the night my mom died,” Natasha said, PEOPLE reported. “I know that if my mom had been in any kind of distress, he would have given his life for her. I know that as well as I know my name.”

'80s New Wave Icon, 70, Stuns Crowd With a Classic Hit and Proves 'He Still Sounds Great'

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:15am

Is it 2026 or 1986? At the start of The Human League’s Generations Tour — which featured their fellow icon, Soft Cell and Alison Moyet — it was as if not a year had passed since the new wave pioneers first arrived on the scene at the start of the 1980s.

In fan footage taken at the June 2 kickoff show, which took place at SDSU’s Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre, Human League’s Phillip Oakey transported fans back into the decades with a stirring performance of “Human.” The 70-year-old icon sounded forever young, as if it was just yesterday that “Human,” the lead single from 1986’s Crash, topped the Billboard Hot 100 and gave the Human League their second No. 1 hit in the U.S.

@socaltojapan

“Human” by The Human League is one of my favorite songs by them. They put on a fantastic show at SDSU. Everyone was so into all the acts. #SoCalToJapan #TheHumanLeague

“He still sounds great!!!” remarked one fan online. “He sounds and looks amazing,” added another. Many fans joined in by commenting, “Phenomenal song! Still sounds great too, “He sounds and looks amazing,' and “70 Lovely years young, y'all.”

The Human League announced the Generations Tour in January. It marks the group's first major U.S. tour in 15 years. “Everything like that gets harder and harder as the years go by, it seems," Oakey told Forbes, citing that it’s harder to finance a grand trek across the United States, even for icons like the Human League.

Oakey — along with longtime backing and lead singer Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley — promised to “play as many of the songs that people will recognize as possible,” as well as a few tracks that will appeal to longtime fans. For Oakey, the tour is also a chance for him to reconnect with the U.S. “I love being in America myself,” he added. “I miss it if I don't go there. It's really strange because I'm the most boring English guy, but somehow America suits me. So, I just love being there.”

Those attending the Generations Tour will get a chance to witness Soft Cell. The "Tainted Love" hitmakers just announced that they will release their final album, Danceteria, on Sept. 25. It marks the last album to feature founding member Dave Ball, who died in October 2025, shortly after the album was completed.

Danceteria is a love letter to New York in the early ’80s. The time we spent in New York — where we recorded our first three albums — shaped us both as artists and people,” said vocalist Marc Almond. “To celebrate this period is a fitting farewell to Dave Ball and the final Soft Cell studio album.”

Rock & Roll Legend Elvis Presley Made History With Record-Setting Concert Run 54 Years Ago Today

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:10am

Elvis Presleywas already breaking records in the 1950s; in fact, in 1956, just a few years after his music career had truly begun, Presley hit No. 1 for a single, "Heartbreak Hotel," and an album simultaneously, making him one of the first artists to ever do so.

That rapid rise in fame, of course, continued, with Presley going on to achieve that particular accomplishment four more times, along with breaking numerous other records before his death in 1977. Among his later achievements was a major broken record connected to one of the most famous arenas in the world.

On June 9, 1972—54 years ago today—Presley became the first-ever entertainer to sell out four consecutive shows at Madison Square Garden. According to Graceland's official website, Presley broke this record by adding (and selling out) a fourth show on Sunday, June 11, after immediately selling out the first three originally scheduled shows.

Per the same source, this four-show run was also Presley's first time performing in front of a live audience in New York since 1956 and 1957, when he had appeared on the Dorsey Brothers, Steve Allen and Ed Sullivan shows.

Sadly, Presley never headlined at Madison Square Garden again, and just five years later, the legendary singer had passed away. Yet, this record-breaking concert run will live on forever, not only because it set this incredible record, but also because the concert itself went on to become an album.

On June 18, 1972, just over a week after Presley kicked off this historic concert run, the American record label RCA Records released Elvis: As Recorded at Madison Square Garden, a live album that captured Presley's June 10 performance at the arena.

As if breaking the Madison Square Garden record wasn't enough proof of Presley's massive success, Elvis: As Recorded at Madison Square Garden was certified gold in 1972, certified platinum in 1988, certified double platinum in 1992 and certified triple platinum in 1999 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

A Major Cruise Line Is Quietly Turning Its Youngest Passengers Into ‘Ocean Ambassadors’

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:10am

Cruising often gets a tough rap when it comes to the environment, and let’s be honest, a healthy dose of skepticism is always warranted when mega-ships talk about going green. But real change has to start somewhere, and the industry’s biggest players are proving that small steps can make a massive wave. Case in point: MSC Cruises and its philanthropic arm, the MSC Foundation, just announced a brilliant new initiative timed perfectly with World Oceans Day that aims to tackle conservation from the ground up—by targeting the youngest travelers onboard.

The brand is launching "Oceans Day powered by MSC Foundation," a fleet-wide onboard program designed to turn everyday family vacations into interactive classrooms. Rolling out progressively across all 23 of MSC's modern ships, the program is set to reach thousands of kids and teens between the ages of 3 and 17 each year. Rather than lecturing kids with dry presentations while they’d rather be at the water park, the initiative leans heavily into entertainment, utilizing games, marine quizzes, creative workshops, and conservation challenges.

What makes this more than just a surface-level PR stunt is the backing behind it. The curriculum draws directly from the MSC Foundation’s hands-on restoration work at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in The Bahamas, alongside expertise from heavy-hitting marine conservation organizations like Mission Blue and Marevivo. The goal is simple: foster ocean literacy by helping families build a genuine connection to the marine world.

MSC

As Daniela Picco, Executive Director of MSC Foundation, beautifully notes: “Oceans Day powered by MSC Foundation reflects our belief that education is fundamental to long-term ocean conservation. We believe that if you know the sea, you protect it — everything starts from there. By helping children and families build a deeper connection with the ocean, we hope to foster curiosity, responsibility and a lifelong commitment to caring for the marine world.”

By the end of the voyage, young cruisers won't just leave with souvenirs; they'll participate in a celebratory environmental parade and take home an official Ocean Ambassador Passport packed with practical conservation habits they can keep up at home.

Related: MSC Is Sending Its Fan-Favorite Mega-Ship to the French Antilles for the First Time

This grassroots education effort actually arrives alongside some massive, hard-data momentum for the company. MSC Group’s Cruise Division recently shattered expectations by hitting the International Maritime Organization’s strict 2030 carbon intensity reduction targets five full years ahead of schedule. By aggressively expanding shore-power capabilities to eliminate emissions at berth and adopting thousands of tons of renewable fuels, the global giant is proving it can accelerate its climate goals much faster than the maritime world anticipated.

Of course, environmental advocacy groups rightly point out that absolute emissions remain a massive uphill battle as fleets expand, and technical metrics alone won't achieve total carbon neutrality. But turning the tide on ocean health requires both cleaner ships today and a passionate group of protectors tomorrow—and inspiring the next generation to actually care about the waters they are sailing on is an encouraging, necessary start.

Guitar 'Wizard' Would Have Turned 111 Years Old Today

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:08am

On June 9, guitar "wizard" Les Paul would have turned 111 years old.

Paul’s influence on the music industry continues to resonate decades after his groundbreaking innovations helped shape the sound of modern rock and popular music. His pioneering work in electric guitar design and recording techniques forever changed how music is created and produced, and leaves a legacy that still inspires artists today.

The Washington Post cited Paul's nickname "The Wizard of Waukesha" in a story about his industry accomplishments. He was christened with the moniker as he hailed from the Wisconsin town.

He was widely credited with inventing the electric guitar. Paul called his early prototype The Log because of its solid wooden body.

According to the National Inventors Hall of Fame, "His innovations led to his first solid-body electric guitar in 1941. Coupled with his pioneering recording techniques, Paul introduced the public to his fast, multitrack productions that frequently included Paul playing as many as six musical parts simultaneously through the process of overdubbing. He also designed and built his own multi-track tape recorders."

Paul continued to improve the solid-body guitar for over a decade. In 1952, Gibson Guitar Corp. introduced the Les Paul model. It became wildly successful and helped to cement his status as one of the most influential figures in modern music.

According to a story published by Rhino Records, Paul discussed his invention. "What I wanted to do is not have two things vibrating. I wanted the string to vibrate and nothing else. I wanted the guitar to sustain longer than an acoustical box and have different sounds than an acoustical box."

His guitar innovations inspired some of the most influential musicians in the music business. Fans of the Gibson Les Paul include Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Richie Sambora, Duane Allman, Mike Bloomfield, Eddie Van Halen and Jimmy Page.

Paul was also highly respected as a jazz-pop musician. With his wife Mary Ford, he recorded the hits "How High the Moon" (1951) and "Vaya Con Dios" (1953).

In 1978, the couple was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for their song "How High the Moon." Additionally, he received a Grammy Trustees Award for his lifetime achievements in 1983.

Les Paul had a longstanding weekly gig at NYC's Fat Tuesdays from 1983 through 1995. He subsequently held a residency at The Iridium from April 1996 until shortly before his death in August 2009 at the age of 94.

She’s the Brand New Supergirl, and the Internet is Shielding Her From '90s Superman Dean Cain

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:06am

The internet went into absolute overdrive this week. The meltdown started on X, where a meme mocking the physical appearance of Hollywood's new superhero began making the rounds.

The target was Milly Alcock, the twenty-six-year-old actress stepping into the iconic boots for the upcoming movie. Dean Cain, the fifty-nine-year-old former Lois & Clark star who used to fly across prime-time television in the nineties, stumbled onto the post, which compared Alcock to a creature from an old sci-fi flick, and decided to publicly weigh in. "Dang it… I laughed," Cain posted. The reaction from the modern comic book fandom was protective.

One Reddit commenter reacted to the post: “She is like the most conventionally attractive woman ever. We can't win.”

The backlash proved, once again, that nobody holds a grudge quite like the modern comic book fandom when an old school fan punches down.

— Dean Cain (@RealDeanCain) June 7, 2026

Then came the nitpicking. Cain's initial post was a reaction to fans obsessing over Alcock’s pierced ears in the promotional shots, wondering how a bulletproof alien gets her ears done. Director James Gunn jumped onto social media to explain the lore. Some fans think that was a mistake. “Like I truly got pissed off when this popped up and james gunn actually explained it, like dude what are you doing if they're dumb or malicious enough to glaze over one of the 2 things we learnt about supergirl in superman than there's no point in engaging,” a Reddit user wrote.

Dang it... I laughed 😅

— Dean Cain (@RealDeanCain) June 8, 2026

But the real anger is reserved for Cain himself, who has spent the last several years transforming his public image from a charming nineties TV staple into a conservative news analyst.

“Dean Cain is my proudest Twitter block,” one user shared. “He blocked me after I said I love when trash takes itself out when he was bragging about leaving California for whatever backwater he lives in now.”

Another commenter noticed a pattern among a crowd of aging men. “There are quite a few washed up ex-athletes, gym bros, and I guess Dean Cain has confirmed ex-actors in his age group that talk in that way, I've met a some, and more than a few of them shared a waiting room with me at a medical building one of my drs is in, and they all use a very "gosh golly gee willickers" kind of speaking style and a sense of false positivity to couch their shitty opinions I overhear while waiting. None of them has ever said anything positive or kind about women, LGBTQ, marriage, their children, politics, or even the other people in the waiting room. Everything they say is self centered, half baked, and some of the dumbest shit I've had to hear in person. Luckily, I can start doing more of those visits as telehealth, so I won't have to hear them as much. It's not a surprise to me that Dean Cain would talk like that because he seems to be in the same lower double digit IQ area as the guys I was talking about.”

Alcock previously mentioned that most of her loudest detractors fit a very specific mold. And she was right. “And people wonder why she made the comments about most of her critics being “Christian dads” and “pissing off the right people”… she was talking about [people] just like Dean Cane,” a fan noted.

For his part, Cain later responded to a critic by writing, “I never said she was ugly.”

Sharon Osbourne Slams 'Cash Grab' Claims About AI Ozzy Osbourne

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:03am

Sharon Osbourne is shutting down criticism after announcing an AI version of her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, is in development.

Sharon and her son, Jack Osbourne, addressed accusations that their family is using the AI partnership with Hyperreal and Proto Hologram announced last month as a "cash grab" during the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast.

"For me, it's not about pretending he's still alive," Jack, 40, said of the late Black Sabbath rocker, who died in July 2025 at the age of 76. Sharon, 73, chimed in, "He is still alive. He's left us a body of work that will never die."

The pair agreed that the AI avatar was more of an effort to ensure Ozzy is "never forgotten," as Sharon said she was "sorry" for those who thought money was the main motivator for the project.

"I'm not asking you to come," she said in an address to the doubters. "I don't want your f--king money. I don't need your f--king money. I'm doing very well."

The Talk alum, who was married to the "Crazy Train" artist for more than four decades, assured listeners that Ozzy would have supported the AI version of himself being created.

"For somebody to turn around to me and say I'm doing a cash grab? No, you don't know my husband, OK?" she said. "I know my husband. My husband would say to me over and over, 'After I go, how long do you think I'll be remembered?'"

Both Sharon and Jack also agreed that an AI version of Ozzy was inevitable, regardless of whether they were involved with its development. Jack assured fans who were worried about the extent of the technology that the new project was a "closed AI module" that was not connected to the internet.

"Someone said, 'It's dangerous, you can't control,'" he said. "And I was like, 'What the f--k do you think this? [The Terminator]?' You think this is going to go sentient, and the next thing you know, Ozzy is going to launch the nukes?"

BBC Is Betting on the New Generation With Youngest Ever Poirot

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:02am

When it comes to Agatha Christie, we can’t seem to get enough of adaptations of her work. Hercule Poirot is one of the world’s favorites when it comes to crime solvers, and Edward Bluemel has just made history, cast as the youngest ever to take on the role.

The BBC is tackling the new project, with BritBox bringing it to screens in North America. The UK network has shared that it plans to run for three seasons, with the first season slated for release in 2027, and there will be six episodes.

The iconic detective, who once described himself as “the greatest detective in the world” in the Christie novel The Mystery of the Blue Train, will get its youngest iteration, with the BBC making it clear that the younger generation is who to turn to for successful TV shows.

It makes sense to land on Bluemel, who initially gained a following on A Discovery of Witches. That following continued when he plays Sean, Emma Mackay’s Maeve’s brother, on Sex Education and then Guildford Dudley on the abruptly and unfairly canceled My Lady Jane.

It makes sense to have the 33-year-old in the role, as the new series will follow Poirot’s earlier years. The idea is that it will be “an intimate study of Hercule,” looking at the character’s growth between the wars. With the time period, it means we’re getting a look at the sleuth before he became the well-known detective everyone turned to for help with solving crimes.

There is also a chance to understand Poirot’s relationship with Arthur Hastings and Scotland Yard, which would become integral for the novels.

Lindsay Salt at the BBC shared with The Telegraph that “From the first moments of Edward’s audition, we knew we’d found the perfect actor for Hercule, with a performance that feels both fresh and exciting, yet quintessentially Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot. We can’t wait for viewers to meet him.”

Bluemel understands the legacy that he is following when it comes to actors who have taken on this role, and shared, “I feel very lucky to have been trusted with such an iconic character who has been played by so many great actors. I can’t wait to continue Hercule’s legacy.”

There have been many great actors before Bluemel to take on the role, with David Suchet arguably being the man everyone immediately thinks of. He took on the role in 1989 and continued to stand out for 24 seasons across a total of 70 episodes. Most recently, Kenneth Branagh has played the iconic character, and before him, Peter Ustinov played the role for the 1978 movie Death on the Nile and the 1982 release Death Under the Sun.

Jon Stewart Slams 'Fragile Man-Baby' Donald Trump After President Walks Out of 'Meet the Press' Interview

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:02am

As one might readily expect, Jon Stewart hardly held back in criticizing President Donald Trump for storming out of a recent Meet the Press interview during a series of back-to-back fact checks from interview Kristen Welker.

On Monday's episode of The Daily Show, the 63-year-old Stewart likened Trump's reaction to the fact checks as a "hissy-fit," wryly calling the commander-in-chief a "fragile man-baby."

“Now, you could view this as the hissy-fit of an incredibly fragile man-baby, whose paper-thin skin can’t handle venturing out of the sycophantic embrace of his tongue-bathing acolytes,” said Stewart. “Or, actually, I don’t know how else you can view it. It really is just that. It is sad. It’s very sad.”

Stewart's comments come only a few short days after Trump's icy conversation with Welker on Meet the Press. In the course of their interview, Trump touched on a variety of polarizing comments and policies, ranging from the controversial $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund geared towards individuals who were prosecuted by the federal government, such as the January 6 rioters.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen with the weaponization fund,” Trump told Welker. “I love the idea, because people like you, the fake dirty press, the crooked press, people like stupid Biden, he’s not smart enough to know what’s going on, but people that surrounded him, surrounded his beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, what they did to the lives of people, they destroyed people. They sent people to jail who did nothing wrong.”

After the conversation turned to Trump asserting his belief that the 2020 election was "rigged," Welker once again fact-checked the president, prompting Trump to walk out of the interview.

“You’re a one-sided crooked network," Trump said to Welker. "Sorry. Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time.”

I Tried a Live Lobster Delivery and It Turned Into an Unforgettable Family Experience

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 9:00am

Father's Day is less than two weeks away, and if you're still searching for a gift, you're not alone.

The challenge isn't finding something to buy. It's finding something memorable.

That's why experience gifts continue to grow in popularity. Instead of another tie, coffee mug or gadget, many families are looking for ways to spend meaningful time together. One unexpected option comes from Lobsterboys, a family-owned seafood company that ships fresh, wild-caught North Atlantic lobster nationwide.

And right now, the company is offering 25% off sitewide ahead of Father's Day.

What Is Lobsterboys? Lobsterboys founders Justin Maderia and Travis Maderia, who founded the seafood company known for wild-caught North Atlantic lobster and nationwide overnight delivery.

Lobsterboys

Founded by brothers Justin and Travis Maderia, Lobsterboys works directly with licensed lobstermen in Atlantic Canada, cutting out middlemen and focusing on sustainability and traceability.

The brothers are fourth-generation lobstermen who grew up working the waters of Connecticut's Long Island Sound before launching Lobsterboys in 2016. Their goal was simple: create a fisherman-direct seafood company that allows customers to know exactly where their food comes from.

According to the company, every lobster can be traced back to its source, and harvesters must follow strict regulations designed to protect lobster populations for future generations.

The company offers a variety of options, including Family Boxes, Chef Boxes and à la carte selections, allowing shoppers to choose everything from smaller family meals to oversized seafood feasts.

One of the biggest advantages for last-minute Father's Day shoppers is speed. Orders placed before noon ET can arrive as soon as the next day through overnight shipping.

My Experience With Lobsterboys Cooked lobster feast from Lobsterboys featuring three whole lobsters served with lemon, herbs and butter, a Father's Day gift idea for seafood lovers.

Lobsterboys

To see what the experience was actually like, I tried one of the company's most popular offerings: the Deuces Family Box, which included four live hard-shell lobsters weighing between 2 and 2.5 pounds each.

When the box arrived, three of the lobsters were still active and one had perished during transit. However, it was still properly chilled and safe to cook immediately. Lobsterboys has a very customer-friendly arrival policy that asks customers to document any issues with photos and/or video and offers refunds or replacement shipments when products don't arrive in acceptable condition.

I cooked that lobster right away and stored the others in the refrigerator with damp paper towels until the rest of my family got home.

What happened next turned out to be the real gift.

Preparing the lobsters became a family activity. Everyone gathered in the kitchen, helping with the process and sharing an experience we otherwise never would have had together.

I'll admit that dispatching a live lobster isn't for everyone. I felt a little guilty about it—I do eat meat and I do understand where meat comes from, but it's a little different doing it yourself. Also, the process can be messy. If you decide to do it yourself, an outdoor setup or a large kitchen sink is probably your best bet.

But it was also one of the most unique cooking experiences my family has ever had.

After receiving the shipment and preparing the meal with my family, I could understand why the company focuses so heavily on connecting customers to the people who catch their food. The experience felt far more personal than simply buying seafood from a grocery store.

And the payoff was worth it. The lobster was incredibly fresh, sweet and delicious.

What Makes Hard-Shell Lobster Different?

One thing I learned during the experience is that not all lobster is the same.

Lobsterboys specializes in North Atlantic hard-shell lobster, which is prized for its firm texture and higher meat yield. According to the company, many consumers are more familiar with soft-shell or "firm-shell" lobster, which can contain less meat and vary more in quality.

Beyond the special occasion and novelty factor, lobster is also packed with nutrients.

Lobster is naturally high in protein while also containing omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, copper, phosphorus and selenium. The company notes that lobster contains no sugar and is naturally low in mercury and heavy metals.

A serving of lobster tail contains nearly 22 grams of protein per 100 grams, while lobster claw meat contains more than 19 grams per 100 grams, making it one of the more protein-rich seafood options available.

The company also highlights lobster's omega-3 content, which supports heart and brain health, along with zinc, which plays an important role in immune function and metabolism.

Why It Makes a Great Father's Day Gift

Whether Dad is a seafood lover, a passionate home cook or simply someone who already seems to own everything he needs, a live lobster delivery offers something different: a shared experience that ends with an incredible meal.

Between the overnight shipping, the hands-on cooking experience and the quality of the lobster itself, it feels more like an event than a gift.

With Father's Day approaching quickly and Lobsterboys currently offering 25% off sitewide, it may be one of the easiest ways to put a memorable celebration on the table without spending weeks planning it.

For families looking to skip the predictable gifts this year, that's a hard package to beat.

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 8:44am

"Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?" is a 1961 episode from the second season of The Twilight Zone. It was recently ranked as one of the top 10 “Best Original Twilight Zone Episodes” by Entertainment Weekly.

The episode, which is commonly compared to John Carpenter’s The Thing, is about a UFO that crashes in the middle of a snowstorm. Two state troopers arrive to investigate and find tracks leading across the highway into a diner. They must investigate this diner, where there are nine strangers—but only eight are human.

As the opening narration stated, “You've heard of trying to find a needle in a haystack? Well, stay with us now, and you'll be part of an investigating team whose mission is not to find that proverbial needle, no, their task is even harder. They've got to find a Martian in a diner, and in just a moment you'll search with them, because you've just landed in The Twilight Zone.”

In the end, one person reveals themselves to be a three-armed alien from Mars—but they aren't the only one who isn't human. In a shocking twist, another character reveals themselves to be a three-eyed alien from Venus. The special effects for this scene were discussed in The Twilight Zone Companion by Marc Scott Zicree.

He explained, "Someone crouched behind John Hoyt, reaching an arm around and under Hoyt's realms. The arm was clothed in the same material as Hoyt's arms and an overcoat was draped over Hoyt's shoulders to obscure the fact that an extra arm didn't originate from his body. With plenty of rehearsal to ensure a fluidity of movement between the three hands, the illusion was perfect."

Barney Phillips, who played the three-eyed alien, added, "They had run a wire over my head concealed in my hair and one of the property men was concealed behind me, manipulating the trigger on the wire to effectuate the rolling of the eyeball in the socket. They had done a very big makeup job. They made a cast of the eye socket. I guess they must have spent well over a day working with me, fitting that device proper to the actual shooting of the show."

This episode is also known for having one of the highest body counts in the series, due to a twist at the end involving a bridge collapse that kills all of the human characters. However, the episode with the most deaths is "Time Enough at Last," where the entire world is destroyed, leaving only the main character alive.

1980s TV Series 'Jem and the Holograms' Getting an Unexpected Revival at Amazon

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 8:38am

Just over 40 years since its original debut, the hit '80s animated series Jem and the Holograms are gearing up for one more performance at Amazon MGM Studios.

According to Variety, the powerhouse studio is currently eyeing a live-action revival of the series with Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan's Kilter Films (best known for Fallout and Westworld) producing.

Described as an "elevated live-action technothriller series," the project will also be released in conjunction with Hasbro Entertainment, following in the footsteps of the original TV series.

Originally created by Christy Marx, Jem and the Holograms served as one of the most popular animated series of the 1980s. Debuting in 1985 and running until 1988, the series following record company owner Jerrica Benton, who moonlights as the lead singer in rock band Jem and the Holograms.

Like similarly influential '80s animated series G.I. Joe and Transformers, the series served as a joint creative effort from Hasbro, Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions, eventually leading to a slew of toys and assorted action figures based off of the hit series.

As Variety pointed out, Jem and the Holograms continued to maintain a favorable reputation well into the 1990s and beyond, spawning a full-fledged franchise that now includes a comic book series, multiple albums and a fan-backed convention dubbed JemCon that's currently commemorating its 20th anniversary.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that an adaptation of Jem and the Holograms has entered production in recent years.

Back in 2015, director Jon M. Chu and Blumhouse Productions attempted to bring the series back to life with a live-action musical drama starring Aubrey Peeples in the lead role. The subsequent movie managed to earn about half of its $5 million budget, prompting the director and studio to abandon the property.

Jenny Mollen Isn't Apologizing After Controversial Post About Her 12-Year-Old Son

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 8:31am

Jenny Mollen isn't apologizing after receiving widespread backlash for an Instagram post in which she likened her 12-year-old son to a "toxic boyfriend."

The actress and author, 47, sparked controversy earlier this month when she shared a now-deleted photo on social media that showed her lying on top of her son Sid on a bed, writing in the caption, "Your eldest son will be the most toxic boyfriend you ever have."

On Monday, June 8, Mollen defended her post on her The Best Friend Experience Substack, beginning her lengthy blog, "Last week, the internet called me a child molester for posting a photo of myself holding my son."

Mollen explained that the photo had been taken after Sid, whom she shares alongside 8-year-old son Lazlo with estranged husband Jason Biggs, returned from a weekend away, writing, "There's something devastating about realizing your child can survive without you, that they can be content somewhere else."

The Live Fast Die Hot author continued that what "strangers saw as scandal, I saw as grief," explaining that she was exploring the idea that "loving a child is a vomit-inducing free fall" with her Instagram joke.

"The joke that offended people was, 'Your eldest son will be the most toxic boyfriend you ever have,'" she wrote. "And he is. Parenthood has demanded a level of commitment and self-sacrifice from me that, in any other context, would be considered pathological. I'd never accept this kind of relationship under any other circumstances. And yet here I am, jumping through fire, constantly striving for affection and approval, waiting by the phone for a guy who can't even drive."

Looking at her Instagram post with Sid, Mollen said she sees "a 12-year-old boy who still wants his mother, and a woman trying to hold on to closeness and connection at a time in her life when everything else is changing," adding, "Don't let anyone shame you for holding on while you still can."

2010s Supergroup Announces Show With Rock Icons

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 8:30am

Dominating the music scene with a powerhouse lineup, the supergroup King of Chaos is gearing up for something big and exciting.

With all the reunion concerts and world tours from different notable groups this year, the all-star rock collective announced a special show that promises high-octane performances from rock music’s familiar faces.

Ahead of the scheduled shows in 2026, King of Chaos is kicking off on August with a one-night-only performance that fans shouldn't miss.

In an Instagram post, the band announced a “killer” lineup set to perform on Aug. 1 at The Show in California.

King of Chaos, featuring founder and original member Matt Sorum from Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, is joined by Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple, Billy Idol’s longtime guitarist Steve Stevens and Bon Jovi member Phil X.

Adding to the excitement are REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin, Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi and Night Ranger co-founder Jack Blades.

In addition, the show will feature “all the greatest songs from the members’ respective bands,” with tickets now available.

The comment section was filled with excited fans who couldn't wait to see the powerhouse lineup on one stage.

“Wow, not 1 but 2 @bonjovi guitarists!” one wrote.

“Wow be great seeing Richie Sambora and Jack Blades onstage together. Bon Jovi and Night Ranger are 2 of my favourite Bands from the 80s,” a follower said.

“Holy RocknRoll!!” a fan added.

The same goes for an Instagram user noting “Every person in this lineup is stellar,” while others are requesting more dates featuring this star-studded ensemble.

Formed in 2012, King of Chaos was created as a rotating band, which means that it doesn't have a permanent lineup.

Instead, the band showcases shifting members depending on their availability during a project or tour.

Some of the musicians who have become part of the lineup include Slash, Gilby Clarke and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour, Megadeth’s James LoMenzo, The Cult’s Billy Duffy and more.

Sorum once described the band as “a bit of a wild ride” based on his experience; however, he appreciates the unpredictability of the lineup.

“But at the same time, I don’t know if I would’ve wanted it any other way,” he told Windsor Star in 2015, adding, “You know, I see bands with lead singers who are really nice. Squeaky clean. And I really don’t feel I’m getting that wild, rock n’ roll sensibility that I want.”

On the other hand, fans will also get to see the supergroup on Oct. 25 to Nov. 1 for Rock the Boat 2026 with King of Chaos as the headliner.

Nick Reiner Update: Accused Murder Suspect Makes Unexpected Court Request

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 8:14am

A new legal filing from Nick Reiner is drawing attention as he continues to fight murder charges in a high-profile case involving his parents.

The petition, filed on June 8 by Reiner's civil attorneys, argues that Reiner remains entitled to financial resources as he prepares his defense, despite the serious allegations against him. Specifically, Reiner is seeking access to a $1.5 million trust fund established in his name to help cover legal counsel.

“Nick loved his parents, and he is devastated by their deaths. But the facts about what did and did not happen to them are not at issue in this Trust litigation," the petition says, according to the Associated Press. "Like anyone accused of a crime, Nick is presumed innocent, and he is entitled to mount his defense with the resources that are lawfully his own."

Reiner is currently in jail awaiting trial after being accused of murdering his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner back in December 2025. Nick was arrested shortly after his parents were found dead and has since pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder.

Shortly after his arrest, Nick retained attorney Alan Jackson to represent him. Jackson is a high-profile defense lawyer who has represented several notable clients in major criminal cases, including actor Kevin Spacey and Karen Read, who was acquitted in the death of her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe.

Jackson withdrew from representing Nick on January 7.

"Circumstances beyond my control, but more importantly circumstances beyond Nick's control, have made it impossible for us to continue our representation," he told reporters, according to BBC News. "I'm legally and ethically prohibited from explaining the reasons why."

Nick is due back in court on September 15, 2026, though it's unclear when his trial will start, according to Fox LA. He remains in custody without bail as the case continues to move forward.

The Secret Disney World Discount Power-Planners Rush to Book Is Back for 2027

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 8:10am

Planning a vacation to the "Most Magical Place on Earth" is an art form, and the biggest secret to saving serious cash is all about timing. If you happen to be checking into a Walt Disney World resort hotel anytime soon, you're in luck.

The theme park giant just quietly rolled out its highly anticipated 2027 "Future Stay Offers," giving travelers a massive head start on booking next year's getaway with the deepest, easiest savings available.

Known informally among die-hard fans and travel agents as a "bounceback deal," this unique promotion is essentially designed to entice current resort guests to immediately turn around and book another trip for the following calendar year.

View this post on Instagram

It's the ultimate insider travel hack because bounceback offers typically serve as the absolute best discounts for everyday travelers who do not have special affiliations like an Annual Pass, a Disney Visa or Florida residency. In fact, these secret rates generally slice an extra 10% off compared to standard public promotions, which can easily translate to saving an extra $1,000 or more on a weeklong stay.

For the newly minted 2027 calendar, the tier-based savings are incredibly generous. Guests can score up to 25% off Value Resorts, up to 30% off Moderate Resorts and a whopping 35% off Deluxe and Deluxe Villa properties. The eligible dates span heavily from mid-January all the way through October 2027, covering popular stretches in the spring and summer. Just keep in mind that Disney did note that the absolute highest savings are packed into the nights from March through September.

However, pulling off this perfect travel crime requires knowing the strict rules of engagement. To qualify, you must currently be registered as a guest at a select Walt Disney World resort hotel, and you have a strict, non-negotiable window of just seven days from your checkout date to lock in the deal. You can do this by navigating to Disney's dedicated online booking portal, calling the reservation center directly or handing the reins over to an authorized Disney travel planner to handle the paperwork.

The best strategy for power-planners who are even remotely considering a return trip next year is to book a "placeholder" reservation for random dates within that seven-day post-checkout window.

Because Disney allows you to modify or cancel your stay without penalty up to 30 days prior to arrival, you can secure the discount now and iron out your exact 2027 dates later. Room allocations for these steep promos are notoriously limited and fill up fast, so securing your safety net while the clock is ticking is the absolute best way to guarantee a budget-friendly return to the magic.

Why an Airline Worker Handed Rihanna a Keychain Straight Out of Her Own Pocket: 'I’m So Honored'

Tue, 06/09/2026 - 8:07am

Flight attendant Lily Kahneráhti:io Dailleboust was going about her usual pre-flight checks when she received word that in 45 minutes, the ultimate VIP would step onto the aircraft: Rihanna. Dailleboust, who comes from the Kanien’kehá:ka, Kahnawá:ke Mohawk Territory, saw an opportunity for something bigger than a selfie or an autograph. She saw a chance to share her culture with a woman who conquered the global music charts after starting out with nothing.

“She came from nothing, too, you know, so it’s like she knows the hustle and she knows what it’s like to grow up rough, so being where she is and making sure that people know that they have gifts and that they can succeed in life is really, you know, something special, especially on her platform,” Dailleboust later told a news outlet.

That’s when the flight attendant decided to make a spontaneous offer.

Dailleboust usually travels with cultural items, earrings or small trinkets from home, specifically to hand out as tokens during her travels. On this flight, though, she didn’t have any on hand. So she unhooked her own personal beadwork keychain, bought at Traditions, an Indigenous shop within her home territory.

When the superstar settled into her seat, the vibe remained casual, with no security guards blocking the aisle or a bustling entourage. “She was really casual… as if you’re talking to your best friend for 10 years,” Dailleboust noted.

View this post on Instagram

Dailleboust walked up, introduced herself, explained where she was from, and placed the vibrant beadwork into the singer's hands. The star was moved, telling the flight attendant that she had never met a member of the Mohawk nation before.

The connection went deeper. Dailleboust shared stories of her own past travels to Barbados, including a visit to the very neighborhood where the pop star grew up.

The moment hit social media via a video that immediately set the internet on fire. Holding the lanyard tightly, the singer made a promise. “This sweet lady gifted me with something very special that I would never forget and I would never lose… I’m so honoured,” she said directly to the camera.

But the real magic happened right before descent. Dailleboust used the remaining minutes of the flight to teach the pop star the word “Nià:wen”—the Kanien’kéha (Mohawk) word for thank you.

Over on Reddit, the beadwork community and frequent flyers alike started buzzing over the raw authenticity of the exchange.

One Métis beadworker summed up the longevity of the gift: “I’m a beadworker (Métis) gifted my ex’s mom one that I made, she still has it even tho me and her son broke up. And still shows it to everyone who asks lol they are awesome gifts that last a super long time and you can hang your car keys on them.”

Another commentator added a sentiment shared by thousands who watched the clip: “RiRi so chill I love her. Imagine being her friend lol I’d be obsessed.”
