Netflix is losing another big hit, with Sneaky Pete as the another show leaving the streamer in July. It comes just a year after the Bryan Cranston-created hit made it to the platform.

As with many of the licensing deals, this is simply a case of the deal coming to an end. When Netflix acquired the license to stream the Prime Video original Sneak Pete, it was for just a year. The worse news is that this isn’t just a U.S. exit, as the show is leaving Netflix globally!

Netflix landed the licensing deal thanks to the fact that it’s a Sony Television Pictures-produced series. Otherwise, it’s rare that another streamer’s show gets acquired in this way.

When Netflix acquired the rights, it was a surprise for many. After all, the series was a Prime Original that ran for three seasons before being abruptly canceled. The shows will leave Netflix in the UK and Australia on July 9, and then a day later it will leave Canada and the United States.

The series never got into the Top 10 on the streamer, but it didn’t help that it was originally a huge hit on Prime Video. It still performed respectably well, according to What’s on Netflix, as it was just on the outside of the Top 10 lists.

Created by Breaking Bad’s Cranston and House’s David Shore (who stepped down as showrunner during the first season), the three-season series follows the titular character played by Giovanni Ribisi. Only, he isn’t the Pete that he claims to be. His name is Marius. He decides to take on the identity of his former cellmate after he’s released from prison, since there’s a gangster after him. That gangster is played by Cranston in the series, hunting Marius down for an old debt.

If Pete is alive, how does he possibly get away with it? Well, it turns out that Pete hasn’t seen his family for more than 20 years, so Marius is able to make Pete’s grandmother believe that he’s come home! Well, it turns out that the family isn’t as squeaky clean as Marius thought they might be.

With just a month to binge-watch, you’ll want to start now! With three seasons, there's plenty of time to catch the entertainment dysfunctional family drama.

In 1970, Grateful Dead released a song that would become one of the most cherished recordings in its catalog.

"Ripple" wasn't a major radio hit, nor was it one of the band's most frequently performed concert staples. Yet more than five decades later, it remains one of the most beloved songs associated with the Grateful Dead, embraced as everything from a lullaby and wedding song to a spiritual reflection and summer anthem.

The track appeared on the band's acclaimed 1970 album American Beauty, a record widely regarded as one of the defining releases of the folk-rock era. Like many of the Dead's most enduring songs, "Ripple" emerged from the creative partnership between guitarist Jerry Garcia and lyricist Robert Hunter.

The song's origin story has become part of Grateful Dead lore.

According to Hunter, the lyrics were written in England during a remarkably productive afternoon fueled by a bottle of Greek retsina wine. That same writing session also produced "Brokedown Palace" and "To Lay Me Down," two other songs that would become fan favorites.

Not long afterward, Garcia found himself sitting beside train tracks during the famous Festival Express, a traveling concert tour that carried musicians across Canada by rail. The tour featured the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Band, Delaney Bramlett and others.

"We were in Canada on that train trip and one morning the train stopped and Jerry was sitting out on the tracks not too far off, in the sunrise, setting 'Ripple' to music," Hunter later recalled in an interview with Rolling Stone.

The lyricist remembered it as one of the happiest periods of his life. Garcia himself later described the songwriting process as remarkably effortless, saying the song "just seemed to happen automatically."

Part of the song's enduring appeal lies in Hunter's lyrics, which blend spiritual imagery, folk traditions and philosophical reflections. In his Rolling Stone interview, Hunter identified one line from "Ripple" as his favorite lyric he ever wrote: "Let it be known there is a fountain that was not made by the hands of men."

The song's themes have often been compared to both "Song of Myself" and the "Psalm 23," though Hunter intentionally left much of its meaning open to interpretation.

Unlike some Grateful Dead songs built around extended improvisation, "Ripple" relies on simplicity. Acoustic instruments, gentle melodies and Garcia’s warm vocal performance give the track a timeless quality that has allowed it to resonate across generations. Over the years, it has become one of the band's most requested songs and one of the recordings most closely associated with the Grateful Dead’' sense of community and shared experience.

Its enduring popularity has also inspired numerous reinterpretations, including a celebrated version from the Playing For Change project featuring musicians from around the world alongside friends of the band such as David Crosby, Jimmy Buffett, David Hidalgo and Bill Kreutzmann.

More than 50 years after Garcia sat beside those train tracks in Canada, "Ripple" remains one of the Grateful Dead's most treasured songs.

For many listeners, its closing message still captures the spirit of the band better than any other lyric: "Let there be songs to fill the air."

1. McDonald's Szechuan Sauce

Nothing screams legendary fast-food sauce more than McDonald's Szechuan Sauce. Originally released in 1998 as a limited-time promotion tied to Disney's Mulan, the sweet and tangy dipping sauce was only available briefly before disappearing from menus.

For years, Szechuan Sauce lived on mostly through nostalgia. Then, in 2017, it became the center of a pop-culture frenzy after being referenced on Rick and Morty, sparking a fan campaign that eventually convinced McDonald's to bring it back for limited runs. The returns never lasted long, however, which only added to the sauce's mystique.

Nearly three decades after its debut, Szechuan Sauce remains one of the most requested discontinued menu items in McDonald's history and the gold standard for fast-food sauces that fans still can't stop talking about.

2. Taco Bell's Lava Sauce

If there were a Hall of Fame for discontinued fast-food sauces, Taco Bell's Lava Sauce would have a strong case for first-ballot induction. Introduced as part of the chain's Volcano Menu, the creamy, spicy sauce developed a cult following thanks to its unique combination of cheesy richness and serious heat. For many Taco Bell fans, adding Lava Sauce instantly made everything on the menu better.

When Taco Bell discontinued the Volcano Menu in 2013, fans were devastated. Petitions popped up online, social media campaigns demanded its return and countless copycat recipes tried to recreate the magic at home. The chain eventually brought Lava Sauce back for limited runs, including the highly anticipated return of the Volcano Menu in 2023, but those comebacks only reminded fans how much they missed having it around permanently.

More than a decade after its disappearance, Lava Sauce remains one of Taco Bell's most beloved discontinued menu items. That's the mark of a truly legendary sauce.

3. Burger King's Chicken Fry Sauce

Chicken Fries get most of the attention, but plenty of Burger King customers would argue they weren't the same without Chicken Fry Sauce.

Introduced alongside the returning Chicken Fries in 2015, the sauce blended honey mustard and barbecue flavors into a dip made specifically for the popular menu item. It was creamy, slightly sweet and different enough from the usual ketchup, ranch and honey mustard packets.

Part of what made Chicken Fry Sauce memorable was that it felt inseparable from Chicken Fries themselves. Once the sauce disappeared, there wasn't really anything else on the menu that tasted quite like it. That's a big reason why it remains one of Burger King's most-missed discontinued sauces.

4. Chick-Fil-A's Buttermilk Ranch

Replacing one ranch sauce with another shouldn't be controversial, but that's exactly what happened when Chick-fil-A retired its Buttermilk Ranch in 2021.

The original sauce had been on the menu for years and was a favorite pairing for Chick-fil-A Nuggets, waffle fries and chicken sandwiches. When the chain replaced it with Garden Herb Ranch, many customers immediately noticed the difference. Some argued the new version was thinner and less creamy, while others said it simply didn't taste as good.

The reaction was strong enough that fans launched petitions asking Chick-fil-A to bring Buttermilk Ranch back. Some customers still insist Garden Herb Ranch isn't an upgrade.

5. KFC's Finger Lickin' Good Sauce The last vile of Finger Lickin' Good sauce ?

Few sauces had a name more closely tied to a fast-food chain than KFC's Finger Lickin' Good Sauce. Inspired by the company's iconic slogan, the tangy, slightly sweet condiment became a popular companion for chicken tenders, nuggets and fries.

Then came 2020. As the pandemic changed how people thought about hygiene, KFC temporarily paused its famous "Finger Lickin' Good" slogan, calling it "the most inappropriate slogan for 2020." Not long afterward, Finger Lickin' Good Sauce disappeared and was replaced by the newly introduced KFC Sauce.

Looking back, it's hard to separate Finger Lickin' Good Sauce from the bizarre circumstances surrounding its disappearance. Few fast-food condiments can say they were retired during a global pandemic because their name suddenly became a problem.

Wendy's struck gold when it introduced Creamy Sriracha Sauce. The condiment blended the garlicky heat of sriracha with a creamy base, creating a sauce that customers put on everything from chicken nuggets to burgers and fries.

Unlike some sauces that come and go after a few weeks, Wendy's Creamy Sriracha Sauce stuck around for years. That's why fans were caught off guard when Wendy's announced in 2021 that it was being replaced by Ghost Pepper Ranch. Some fans like the replacement even better, but others still yearn for the sriracha-based sauce.

Even today, Creamy Sriracha Sauce is one of the most-requested discontinued Wendy's condiments, with customers still searching for the perfect copycat recipe and hoping for a comeback.

7. Jack in the Box's Onion Mayo Sauce

Years after it disappeared, Jack in the Box fans are still searching for copycat recipes and reminiscing about old menu favorites that featured Onion Mayo Sauce. For a sauce that rarely got the spotlight, it left a surprisingly lasting impression.

8. Domino's Kicker Hot Sauce

Domino's isn't exactly known for its sauces, which makes the love for Kicker Hot Sauce even more impressive. The spicy dipping sauce became a go-to pairing for wings, boneless chicken and pizza crusts, with many customers insisting it struck the perfect balance between heat and tang.

Fans didn't realize how much they'd miss it until Domino's replaced it with a different buffalo-style sauce. Reddit threads filled with complaints, customers compared the new sauce to the old one, and some even launched petitions asking Domino's to bring Kicker Hot Sauce back.

Some discontinued sauces fade away without many people mourning their loss. Kicker Hot Sauce wasn't one of them. Years later, Domino's customers are still hunting for copycat recipes and wondering why the chain ever got rid of it in the first place.

Where to Find the Best Copycat Versions

Not all hope is lost if your favorite fast-food sauce has disappeared. Many of the most beloved sauces on this list have inspired countless copycat recipes, with home cooks attempting to recreate everything from the McDonald's Szechuan Sauce to Taco Bell's Lava Sauce.

A quick search on YouTube, Reddit or food blogs will turn up dozens of versions, some requiring a full spice cabinet and others relying on a handful of grocery store ingredients. While they may not be exact replicas, they can come surprisingly close to the flavors fans remember.

You may also want to keep an eye out for limited-time promotions. Fast-food chains have a habit of bringing back fan favorites for short runs, and several sauces on this list have already made temporary returns. If history is any indication, today's discontinued sauce could always make an unexpected comeback tomorrow.

Erin Murphy received a nice paycheck for her role on Bewitched six decades ago. In June 2026, the former child actress posted to Facebook to share a throwback newspaper photo that announced contract details when she was hired on the ABCsitcom in the mid-1960s.

The newspaper clipping, which appeared to be from the Los Angeles Times, featured a photo of Murphy and her twin sister with Superior Judge John A. Scott, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge who often contracted for child performers in the 1960s.

The  accompanying blurb revealed that Judge Scott “approved Screen Gems Inc. contract for services of Erin and Diane Murphy, 3, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Murphy, North Hollywood.”

“Twins play role of Tabitha on TV series Bewitched,” the outlet shared at the time. “Erin receives $400 for each episode. Diane gets $50 a week base, $50 a day as extra, $100 a day as an actress. Both contracts are for five years.”

Murphy, 61, captioned the photo with some additional details. “Did you ever wonder how much I made per episode on Bewitched?” she asked fans. “Now you know. $400. That was a lot of money back then when minimum wage was $1.25. For comparison, Burt Ward from Batmanmade $250 per episode. … Approximately $4300 per week today.”

Murphy was just two years old when she began filming Bewitched in 1966. The child actress was hired alongside her fraternal twin, Diane, for the role of baby witch Tabitha Stephens, with both sisters needed on set due to child labor laws. The Murphy twins remained on the show until its end in 1972, although it was Erin who played Tabitha the most—she appeared in 103 episodes, per IMDb, while Diane appeared in 21, and not always as Tabitha.

Murphy recently told The Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan podcast that her earnings were protected when she was a child actress.

“I got my money from Bewitched when I turned 21,” she shared. “People think you get everything or nothing. The way the laws were written back then, kid actors get something, it's called a Coogan account, where a percentage of your money from a television show or movie is put into savings.”

“It's only 10 percent,” Murphy added. “So 10 percent of everything I made was put into savings. My dad was an investor, so, I mean, it got the highest return. But it was 10 percent. The rest goes to wherever, agents or managers. But I got 10 percent, and it was still a nice amount of money.’

“When I turned 21, I bought a house, bought a horse, lived on a little ranch, married, started having a family," the Bewitched alum revealed.  

Like most child stars of that era, Murphy does not receive residuals for Bewitched, although the series continues to air in reruns and on streaming platforms 60 years later.

There's no hotter author in the contemporary romance genre right now than Emily Henry, whose book People We Meet on Vacation was recently turned into a Netflix movie with four more of her bestselling novels in the midst of the film adaptation process. However, the Beach Read writer found the experience surprisingly "harrowing," and ultimately chose to 'take a step back' from the process.

“It’s funny being behind the scenes," she told Jenna Bush Hager on the June 11 episode of her Open Book with Jenna podcast. "It’s kind of a harrowing experience in a way, because there are so many steps before it gets to that point, and you read so many different versions of the draft... You’re trying not to get your hopes up, but you’re getting hopes up."

The Netflix film adaptation was directed by Brett Haley and written by Yulin Kuang, who is also set to write and direct Beach Read. The duo gave Henry constant updates on the Netflix project, which ultimately became a little too stressful for her.

“I had developed a really close friendship with our director, and so he was the one keeping me in the loop about everything," she shared. "Toward the end of the process, I did tell him, like, ‘I actually have to step back. This feels like so many false starts and so emotional,'... It can be really hard to know every single thing that’s going on and all the ups and downs."

While the lack of control started getting to the author, her experience with the adaptations for Funny Story and Happy Place will be a little different because she's writing those screenplays herself.

"[It lets me hold onto it] a little bit longer," she said, but ultimately the process of turning a book into a movie is forcing her to accept that it will never "be just [her] thing."

“It’s going belong to all these people. Hundreds of people are going to work on these things," she said.

Unfortunately, that has led to some blowback from fans of the books, who have complained about everything from the films missing their favorite little moments to the casting choices not aligning with their expectations.

"[I used] every moment [on set] to advocate for the readers," she ensured, specifically in reference to People We Meet on Vacation, and promising the director “tried to fit in as much as he possibly could.” Making films is simply a different animal from writing a novel. But the author does get it.

“I am with [the fans] in this. We are going to have this experience together," she said. "Of course, it’s scary to see something you love take a new form, but it’s exciting. You have the opportunity to be surprised.”

Which other Emily Henry books are being adapted to movies?

After People We Meet on Vacation was released in January 2026, there are still four more Henry movies coming:

Beach Read: The adaptation of Beach Read is set for a theatrical release on May 7, 2027. Phoebe Dynevor will play January Andrews opposite Patrick Schwarzenegger as Augustus “Gus” Everett, with Kevin Bacon and Andie MacDowell also joining the cast. The film is being written and directed by Kuang for 20th Century Studios and will debut in theaters before eventually heading to streaming.

Book Lovers: Book Lovers is being developed as a feature film by Tango Entertainment, with former Girls writer and producer Sarah Heyward attached to pen the script. The adaptation was announced in 2023, but as of mid-2026 no cast, director, or distributor has been revealed.

Happy Place: Originally envisioned as a television series, Happy Place has since been reworked into a feature film for Netflix. Henry is writing the screenplay herself, while Jennifer Lopez and her Nuyorican Productions banner are producing. No cast members have been announced yet, but the movie is expected to stream exclusively on Netflix when completed.

Funny Story: Netflix is also developing Funny Story as a feature film. Henry is adapting her own novel, with producers Alexander Black and Natalie Sellers of Lyrical Media joining Aaron Ryder and Andrew Sweet of Ryder Picture Company. Casting and a release date have yet to be announced, but the movie is expected to debut on Netflix.

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

"I would love to see Kyle and I be able to get to a place that, you know, we really can put our differences aside or hash it out, whichever," Kemsley said.

The two women were once part of the show's closer inner circle, but their relationship became much more complicated after seasons of tension and personal issues playing out on camera.

Kemsley's latest comments suggest that, at least from her side, the friendship is not beyond saving.

She Thought They Were Entering the Season in a Better Place

Kemsley also said she originally believed she and Richards were going into the season with a chance to move forward.

"I thought we were going into the season, really, I thought we were going in, in that place," she said.

Her answer points to one of the frustrations that often comes up in long-running Real Housewives friendships. Cast members may think they are starting from one place, only for old problems, confessionals and group conversations to reopen everything once filming begins.

For Dorit and Kyle, it was years of misunderstandings and hurt feelings coming to the surface, according to Bravo.

Kemsley did not guarantee a reconciliation, but she made clear that she still believes repair is possible if both people want it.

"I think that there's, if both people want to, there's always room for, you know, making up and making things better," she said.

The Update Comes During a Big Personal Chapter for Dorit

Kemsley's comments also come as she is speaking more openly about her life off-camera.

The Bravo star has been promoting her new book, Unburdened, and recently spoke to People about her divorce, motherhood, healing and whether she sees a future on RHOBH.

She filed for divorce from Paul "PK" Kemsley in 2025 after the couple announced their separation in 2024.

At first listen, some soft rock tracks appear to be timeless anthems of love and relationships. A pop music duo released a cover of "Muskrat Love" that became a charting hit, but its backstory led it to be seen as somewhat of a novelty joke.

"Muskrat Love" was originally released in 1972 by Willis Alan Ramsey under a different title, "Muskrat Candlelight." Ramsey was one of the more mysterious men in the rock business, releasing the track as part of his sole album self-titled album release. The song is exactly what many would think it's about: two anthropomorphic muskrats named Susie and Sam making love.

The track didn't land anywhere on the charts and had little success. It wasn't taken seriously and even had sound effects to simulate the two muskrats mating. A year later, the folk/rock band America released their own cover of the track and felt like it had a "quirky and commercial" quality to it. Even the band's record label hated the song and begged the group not to release it, which they did.

"Muskrat Love" also wasn't a success for America and landed at No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It wasn't until Captain & Tennille covered the track that it became a surprise hit, and the duo would defend the track as a soft rock track about love rather than a joke novelty.

The duo released the track as part of their Song of Joy album, and originally added it to their nightclub set list a few years prior after hearing America's version on the radio. According to reports, Tennille became enamored by the song and needed to know what the lyrics were about. The following day, they found the sheet music, with Tennille saying, "'This song is hysterical; why don’t we add it to our club-act?' And [the audience] went nuts for it."

Their cover of the song landed at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and spent weeks at No. 1 on the Easy Listening and Adult Contemporary charts. A surprise hit, it became a staple in nightclubs, but did receive some backlash for not being taken seriously.

Captain & Tennille decided to sing the song at the July 1976 White House dinner honoring Queen Elizabeth II. The press ran statements about how inappropriate it was to sing the song for the special occasion, and it was in poor taste. Tennille would come to defend "Muskrat Love" as a "Disneyesque kind of song," and only dirty-minded people would see it any differently.

The duo's version of "Muskrat Love" has gone down in multiple lists as one of the "worst" songs ever released, despite its love-hate relationship among fans. Even America admitted that most people began to prefer Ramsey's original 1972 version.

The baby rumors are true!Vanderpump Rules’James Kennedy has finally confirmed that his girlfriend, Jordan Meyers, is pregnant. 

In May, news broke that the reality TV star and his new amore were expecting. But Kennedy remained mum on the subject. While supposed ‘inside sources’ who were close to the couple shared the baby news with the press, neither of the would-be parents had anything to say publicly. That is, until now.

Kennedy recently opened up to People, revealing, “We are thrilled to share that Jordan and I are expecting our first child together.” The VPR alum continued, “We have previously kept our relationship out of the public eye, and this is the first time we’re sharing it publicly. We wanted to keep things personal while we were building our relationship together, and we’ve shared this news privately with close friends and family for some time now.” 

Per People, Meyers is now four months pregnant. The DJ explained, “As we prepare for this next chapter, it felt like the right moment to share it more widely. This is an incredibly special and meaningful time for us, and we feel deeply grateful to be stepping into this new chapter surrounded by love and support from our family and friends.” 

How did James Kennedy and his girlfriend, Jordan Meyers, meet?

Fans of Vanderpump Rules have watched Kennedy’s other relationships peak and fizzle in almost-real time. First, there was a romance with Kristen Doute in Season 2 of the show (following her breakup from Tom Sandoval). Obviously, that didn’t work out, and Doute is now engaged to her The Valley co-star Luke Broderick. The couple has a daughter, Kaia Lily Broderick, who was born in June of 2025. 

After Doute, Kennedy entered into a now-infamous relationship with Rachel Leviss (Raquel back then). While the pair was engaged for a while, they split just before Scandoval broke. 

His next VPR romance started in 2022 with Ally Lewber. Even though it seemed meant to be, things ended after the couple moved in together. 

And then there was Lala Kent. Sure, she never technically dated Kennedy. But the chemistry was undeniable. 

And that brings us to his latest relationship with Meyers. The soon-to-be mama told people, “The second I met James, we instantly felt such a strong spark between us.” She also explained how the pair met, adding, “We initially connected through Instagram and then met in person at one of his shows. I’m from North Carolina, so I went to visit James for what was supposed to be three days, which has now turned into eight months together.” 

Even though the pair have only been together for eight months, Meyers said, “Watching our love grow and preparing to become parents together has been the most incredible experience.” 

Mariska Hargitay opens up about the painful loss of her father after he was diagnosed with an incurable cancer.

TheLaw & Order: Special Victims star reflected on her experience in a recent interview with People.

“The biggest gift is how it made our family even closer and how we got to say goodbye to him, which is something I still carry because I do feel that he's always with me,” Hargitay said.

Her father, bodybuilder and actor MickeyHargitay, died in 2006 from multiple myeloma. This type of blood cancer targets bone marrow, causing kidney issues, damaged bones, and a weakened immune system.

“We were devastated because he was — and I think my siblings feel the same way as I do — he was our hero and our north star. He was our everything, such a model for us about how to be,” the actress said.

Hargitay added that 36,000 new cases of multiple myeloma are anticipated this year, according to the American Cancer Society.

“It was truly shocking to our family, especially because my dad was so healthy and obviously a leader in physical health and wellness,” she said, referencing his NABBA Mr. Universe title in 1955.

“There was just nothing he couldn't do. So when this happened, none of us could really download it because he'd always said that he was gonna live to be 150. And he was such an extraordinary person that we actually bought it,” Hargitay said.

In recognition of her late father, the actress is partnering with Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) for their "Investigating Myeloma” campaign. It aims to raise awareness and advocate for further scientific research on multiple myeloma.

“This disease is really hard and it's really scary and it's painful because as of right now, it is still incurable. But it's treatable and that is the difference,” she said. “There is so much hope now that wasn't there before, 20 years ago, when my father was diagnosed,” Hargitay adds.

Alex Cooper had a plan for keeping her pregnancy private, but the internet had other ideas.

The Call Her Daddy host opened up on the June 10 episode of her podcast about trying to hide her pregnancy from her husband, Matt Kaplan.

Cooper said her original goal was inspired by Kylie Jenner, who famously kept her first pregnancy private until after welcoming her daughter, Stormi.

Cooper hoped she could keep the news quiet much longer. However, she felt the need to defend herself and her husband when rumors spread following a red-carpet evening.

"The truth is my goal was to try to pull a Kylie Jenner," Cooper said, according to People. "I really wanted to."

"I just one day wanted to come on and announce like, 'Oh, I had a baby,'" Cooper said. "But the unfortunate reality is that my job does require me to be seen either on my show or out at public events."

Cooper said she told Kaplan she wanted to keep the pregnancy secret until August or September, but the plan did not work the way she expected.

The trouble started before Cooper and Kaplan attended the YouTube TV Upfront in New York City in May.

Cooper said she had chosen an outfit she thought would hide her growing bump, but when she tried it on the day of the event, it no longer fit the way she had planned.

"I started hyperventilating," she said, adding that she was "having a mental breakdown on this carpet."

Cooper said the buttons on her jacket were popping off before the event, and she was trying to hold everything together as she got out the door.

"I've got my Spanx literally hiked up to my nipples," she recalled, says Just Jared. "We're about to be late. I am sucking in for dear life. I'm trying to make this work as we walk out the door."

Cooper said she and Kaplan had a serious conversation in the car about how they would handle the carpet.

She told him they needed to keep things "business professional" and move quickly.

According to Cooper, people did not immediately focus on baby speculation. Instead, they started talking about the couple's body language.

"The only rumors that actually came from the carpet is just how miserable my husband and I looked," Cooper said.

She said people online were dissecting their appearance together and suggesting the relationship looked like an "arranged marriage" or a "business deal."

"Babe, that is a win for a win for a win," she remembered telling Kaplan, seeing that fans were way off.

Cooper later made it clear that the marriage speculation was not accurate.

"No one needs to worry," she said. "Matt and I are great."

She also admitted that the rumors were not exactly easy to read, even if they helped distract from the pregnancy news for a little longer.

"Honestly, it is sad, though, guys," Cooper said. "It is really sad and just insane how crazy this industry is."

Cooper and Kaplan announced in May that they are expecting their first baby together. The couple married in April 2024 after first meeting on Zoom in 2020.

Deutch Inherited Her Mom’s Acting Skills

They’re about everything from her boss Chef Bastien’s (Nick Offerman) insufferable antics to how heartbroken she is without her best friend. Wes, an Austin real estate agent, gets a new work phone and is assigned Isabelle’s old number. Our days are so jam-packed that sometimes, lunch doesn't get the attention it deserves. Sometimes, we skip it altogether! But registered dietitians say this is a mistake, because it's a secret weapon for nailing the rest of your day.

"While many people like to 'power through' the lunch hour, skipping lunch can actually lower energy and productivity because of blood sugar dips and inadequate fueling," Michelle Routhenstein, MS, RD, CDCES, CDN, a preventive cardiology dietitian at EntirelyNourished.com, tells Parade. "It is important to pause your day and eat a balanced lunch to help nourish your body, support blood sugar and appetite control, keep energy levels steady and help prevent later-day sugar cravings."

Another registered dietitian also sings the praises of a nourishing lunch. "It is the meal that carries you when you need to get the most work done, whether it is at home...or in the workplace," points out Eleana Kaidanian, RD, CDN, CPT-WFS, a registered dietitian. "Lunch also allows for active rest; it is the time that your body takes a short break from the tasks that are expected from it and has a chance to 'recover' to help you go on with the rest of your day."

Yet, what you eat matters—but what does an ideal lunch look like anyway? Your social media feed may have a steady stream of perfectly plated meals that took hours to make from scratch and feel aspirational, given your busy life. However, registered dietitians are far more concerned with making sure you get enough nutrients than creating an aesthetically pleasing meal—not that there's anything wrong with that, if it's your jam. To help, we asked three dietitians, "What's the ideal lunch?" They all said the same thing.

The Ideal Lunch To Eat, According to 3 Registered Dietitians

Registered dietitians say that the ideal lunch includes foods with fiber, protein and healthy fats. "This will provide a balanced plate offering a mix of nutrients at once, your body will feel its best energy-wise and function at its peak while feeling satisfied," Kaidanian tells Parade.

Some of her favorite ways to check all three boxes include:

• Filet of wild salmon (protein and healthy fat), with roasted Brussels sprouts (fiber) and wild rice (fiber) 
• Green salad (fiber) with grilled chicken (protein) and sliced avocado (healthy fat) 
• Steamed tofu (protein) with sauteed broccoli (fiber) and peanuts on top (healthy fat) 

3 Reasons To Prioritize This Lunch

Kaidanian and two other dietitians dish on why each nutrient deserves real estate on your lunch plate.

1. Fiber is fuel for your digestive system

Kaidanian advises people to get fiber with every snack and meal. "Even high-fiber foods don't have much fiber in one serving," she says. "Therefore, we need to spread it out. Fiber is also tough to break down, in a good way."

For this reason, she wants your body working to break down fiber throughout the day rather than trying to get all your needs in one shot. When you consume too much fiber at once, she says you can experience gas, bloating and constipation—not the vibe you (or your office mates) are going for.

As for the daily requirement, the USDA recommends that women consume at least 25 grams of fiber and that men consume 38 grams.

"Realistically, I would advise that about 30% of your daily fiber intake comes from your lunch," Kaidanian says. "If you are having three meals...and about two snacks a day in between the meals, this would be a great way to meet your daily fiber needs."

Some of her favorite fiber-filled lunches are: 

• Hearty whole grain bowls with quinoa, farro or brown rice base and colorful vegetables 
• Colorful salads with a mix of cruciferous vegetables (like broccoli)
• Bean-based dishes, like lentil soup or black bean burgers 
• Whole wheat pasta dishes with cooked vegetables such as mushrooms and spinach 
• Roasted vegetables such as beets, asparagus and sweet potato with the skin intact on a side of protein such as chicken breast or salmon  

2. Protein is a craving-busting powerhouse

If you don't want to be running on E at the end of your workday, you'll need protein in your lunch.

"Out of all your macros, protein is the one that provides the biggest feeling of fullness, which is what you want midday," says Amanda Sauceda, MS, RD, a registered dietitian. "If you get major sweet cravings midday, you definitely want to check on your protein intake at lunch because those cravings can be a sign you’re not nourishing your body earlier in the day."

Sauceda adds that a lack of protein can also trigger blood sugar imbalances.

"Protein helps to slow down the absorption of the carbs you eat, which means a more gentle blood sugar response, which supports your metabolism," she explains. "If your blood sugar spikes because you’re not getting enough protein and too many simple carbohydrates—think a bag of chips and a soda—you’re more likely to experience a blood sugar spike and cravings."

Routhenstein points out that there isn't a perfect number for grams of protein you need at lunch, but most people benefit from 20 to 35 grams. "The exact amount depends on overall daily protein needs, which are determined by your age, activity level, exercise type, lab results, kidney function and health goals," she explains.

Sauceda says animal meat is one of the easiest sources of protein. It has all nine amino acids, and a 3-ounce serving of chicken contains 23 grams of protein.

However, she loves to incorporate plant-based proteins into her diet because they contain protein and fiber.

"Beans and legumes are the whole package because you get complex carbs, protein, and fiber," Sauceda says. "A half-cup serving of plant-based proteins like beans, lentils or chickpeas is a good number to aim for, but also keep in mind that they are lower in protein compared to meat. They can have anywhere from 7 to 12 grams of protein per serving." 

3. Healthy fats are an underrated lunch star

"Fat" gets a bad rep in the diet culture world. Certain fats—monounsaturated—are highly beneficial and even help with heart health.

"Healthy fats are important because they help with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables," Routhenstein shares.

Again, there's no precise amount of healthy fats to have per meal. It's generally recommended that most people consume 20% to 30% of their daily calories from these fats, so you'll want to consider your overall diet when deciding how much to include with lunch.

Some of Routhenstein's favorite ways to add healthy fats to her lunches include drizzling olive oil over a salad or grain bowl, or adding avocado to a sandwich or burrito bowl.

Don't Forget the Drink

You have the food part down pat, now—fiber, protein and healthy fats all contribute to an ideal lunch. Routhenstein says it's important not to overlook the drink.

"Hydration is important, especially as you increase fiber intake, since drinking enough fluids supports digestion and helps prevent constipation," she tells Parade.

Healthy drinks include:

• Water
• Sparkling water
• Herbal teas can also contribute to hydration. (However, if someone has low iron, it may be helpful to avoid tea close to meals, as certain compounds can slightly reduce iron absorption, Routhenstein explains.)

Hydration needs vary based on your health, the climate and your physical activity.

What To Avoid at Lunch

Registered dietitians generally steer clear of declaring foods off-limits, but there are certainly a few that don't make the cut for "ideal lunch" fare. They suggest minimizing:

• Heavy sauces or dressings. Kaidanian shares that these are especially common in the foods we order at restaurants, but they're often loaded with sodium and processed ingredients. "Always ask for on the side or be specific for what you ask for, such as olive oil and lemon juice instead of the dressing the food automatically comes with," she suggests.
• Filler carbs. Bread rolls and white rice may taste great, but Kaidanian says nutrient-dense whole grains are more filling.
• Refined sugars. Routhenstein knows that a candy bar from the vending machine may be a quick way to eat something mid-day, but it can cause blood sugar spikes and mid-day crashes. As a result, she warns you'll feel more tired, less focused and hangrier later in the day.
• Highly processed meats. Deli meats, bacon and sausages all make the list. "They tend to be high in sodium and saturated fat, which can contribute to fluid retention and high blood pressure and may negatively impact cardiovascular health," Routhenstein says.
