Bailey Zimmerman has found himself in some legal trouble.

According to TMZ, the country star is facing felony and misdemeanor criminal charges in New Mexico after allegedly wrecking his hotel room and causing more than $16k in damage.

Per legal documents obtained by the outlet, prosecutors in Bernalillo County, New Mexico filed criminal papers to obtain an arrest warrant against Zimmerman on Thursday, June 18.

Prosecutors are seeking a felony charge for criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor charge of falsely obtaining services stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred on May 27, 2026.

According to the documents, law enforcement claims that the singer trashed his hotel room before canceling his concert in Albuquerque that night and was later kicked out of the resort he was staying in.

The affidavit states Zimmerman was scheduled to perform at the amphitheater at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, however, authorities report hotel security said he appeared to be drunk throughout the evening.

Furthermore, police say he was stumbling, falling, and acting belligerently onstage for sound check. Zimmerman is also reported to have been throwing microphones on the ground, tossing cymbals, and knocking part of the drum kit over.

He also reportedly stormed off the stage multiple times before leaving sound check to go back to the hotel.

The documents claim Zimmerman was stumbling so badly, that when he got back to the resort, his shoe came off, his knee was bloody, and he had to lean on another person as he walked down the hallway.

After Zimmerman canceled his show that night and he was kicked out of the resort, he allegedly refused to leave in a bus the resort provided, leading the hotel to call police.

Authorities then say the singer started cooperating, got on the bus, and was escorted off the property. Housekeeping staff reportedly found Zimmerman's room destroyed the next day.

The damage allegedly affected the TV, phone, coffee table, and 2 chairs. Staff also reported a hole in one wall, damage to other walls, stains on the carpet, and 2 missing chairs.

The hotel also claims Zimmerman charged over $400 worth of alcohol to the room without settling his tab. The documents allege that both hotel staff and police tried to contact the singer and his team, but no one responded—leading to an arrest warrant being issued.

At the time of the show's cancellation, Zimmerman said it was due to an undisclosed illness.

“Y’all know there’s nothing I love more than getting out on the road and playing these shows for you, so it’s so hard for me to have to say this, but I have to reschedule tonight’s (5/27) and Saturday’s (5/30) shows,” Zimmerman wrote on Instagram at the time, letting fans know that his concerts in Albuquerque and Rohnert Park, California, were going to be rescheduled.

“I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I’m not able to give you all the show you deserve,” he added. “I hate letting y’all down and was really looking forward to these shows, but I gotta take care of myself so I can get back out there stronger.”

A representative for Zimmerman did not immediately respond to Parade's request for comment.

• “The Warrior” — Scandal (1984): "The Warrior" was one of 1984's biggest hits, climbing to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming an MTV staple thanks to Patty Smyth's powerhouse vocals. Co-written by Holly Knight and Nick Gilder, the song was originally intended for Gilder before producers realized it was a perfect fit for Smyth.
  
  Despite the song's success, Smyth later admitted she hated its post-apocalyptic music video, comparing it to an "off-Broadway production of Cats." The track has enjoyed a long afterlife as the theme song for Netflix's GLOW, in video games, and at sporting events. Fun fact: before becoming a rock superstar, Jon Bon Jovibriefly played rhythm guitar for Scandal, though he wasn't part of the lineup that recorded the hit.

• “Obsession” — Animotion (1985): Animotion's "Obsession" became one of the defining synth-pop hits of 1985, but the song wasn't originally written for the band. Songwriters Holly Knight and Michael Des Barres first recorded it as a duet in 1983 for the film A Night in Heaven.
  
  Knight created the song's instantly recognizable bass riff, while Des Barres penned lyrics inspired by his recovery from heroin addiction, a time when the concept of obsession was frequently discussed in support groups. Producer John Ryan was so confident in the track's potential that he reportedly spent nearly half of Animotion's debut album budget recording it.
  
  The gamble paid off, turning "Obsession" into a major hit that has endured through television appearances, in sports entertainment, and in the popular video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, helping introduce the song to new generations of fans.

• “Sunglasses at Night” — Corey Hart (1984): "Sunglasses at Night" became one of the decade's most recognizable synth-pop hits, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song's signature hook was inspired by recording studio workers who wore sunglasses to shield their eyes from cold air blasting through overhead vents. Hart reportedly developed the idea while working on an earlier demo and later refined it after buying a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers in London.
  
  Fueled by heavy MTV rotation, the song helped launch Hart to international stardom and has remained a pop-culture staple through appearances in projects like Stranger Things and Nope.

• “Mickey” — Toni Basil (1981): Toni Basil's "Mickey" became one of the biggest hits of 1982, but it started life as a completely different song called "Kitty," recorded by the British band Racey. Basil changed the lyrics to focus on a male love interest and added the now-iconic cheerleader chant that helped make the track unforgettable.
  
  She also produced, directed, and choreographed the music video herself, using her actual high school cheerleading uniform and members of a real championship cheer squad. The low-budget clip became an MTV sensation and helped propel "Mickey" to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when Basil was 38 years old.

• “I Melt With You” — Modern English (1982): Modern English's "I Melt With You" sounds like a dreamy love song, but its lyrics were actually inspired by a couple embracing as a nuclear bomb falls around them.
  
  Frontman Robbie Grey reportedly wrote the words in a matter of minutes, while producer Hugh Jones helped shape the song's distinctive sound by encouraging Grey to speak rather than sing parts of the vocals and adding the now-famous humming section. Though the song was only a modest chart hit upon release, its appearance in the 1983 film Valley Girlhelped turn it into an enduring '80s classic that remains a staple of movies, commercials, and nostalgia playlists.

• “The Promise” — When in Rome (1988): When in Rome's "The Promise" began in the most humble of settings: a cramped garden shed in England where bandmates Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann literally mounted keyboards to the walls to save space. Inspired in part by Farrington's recent heartbreak, the pair reportedly finished writing the song in less than 20 minutes.
  
  Though it became the band's only major hit, reaching No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, the song found a second life after its memorable appearance in Napoleon Dynamite and, most recently, in the 2024 horror/comedy Lisa Frankenstein. Its enduring popularity later sparked disputes over ownership and led to multiple versions of the band touring under similar names.

• “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” — Dead or Alive (1985): Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" became one of the defining songs of the 1980s, but it nearly never happened. Frontman Pete Burns reportedly had to take out a personal loan after the band's label refused to finance the song, convinced it wouldn't be a hit.
  
  The gamble paid off: the track became the first UK No. 1 for the legendary production team Stock Aitken Waterman and eventually turned into a global synth-pop anthem. Its influence has endured for decades, inspiring covers, parodies, and even Flo Rida and Kesha's 2009 smash hit "Right Round."

• “Send Me an Angel” — Real Life (1983): Real Life's "Send Me an Angel" became one of the most recognizable synth-pop songs of the 1980s, but it was created surprisingly quickly. Frontman David Sterry reportedly wrote much of the song while listening to a demo on his Walkman in the back of a car, while the track's signature handclaps were added on the fly during recording.
  
  The song became an international hit and achieved the rare feat of charting twice on the Billboard Hot 100 during the same decade—first in 1984 and again with a remixed version in 1989. Its enduring popularity was further cemented through appearances in films like Rad and The Wizard.

• "We Close Our Eyes" — Go West (1985): "We Close Our Eyes" was a polished pop hit that helped define the decade's sound. Before finding success, the duo of Peter Cox and Richard Drummie faced multiple label rejections and recorded the song to help secure a deal with Chrysalis Records.
  
  Producer Arif Mardin dubbed their style "Modern Motown," while Queen frontman Freddie Mercury reportedly predicted the pair would become "very, very big" after seeing the song's video. Fueled by heavy MTV exposure, the track became an international hit and helped Go West win the Brit Award for Best British Newcomer in 1986.

• “Toy Soldiers” — Martika (1989): Martika's 1989 hit "Toy Soldiers" may sound like an uplifting pop anthem, but a friend's battle with drug addiction was the actual song inspiration.
  
  Co-written with producer Michael Jay, Martika used the image of toy soldiers to represent people being controlled by forces beyond their power. The emotional track became her only U.S. No. 1 single and featured a young Stacy Ferguson — later known as Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas — singing in the children's choir. Decades later, the song gained another life when Eminem famously sampled its chorus for his 2004 hit "Like Toy Soldiers."
  

A few months ago, Lindsey Vonn was fighting to save her leg. Now, she's soaking up the sun in Saint-Tropez.

The Olympic skiing legend was spotted enjoying time aboard a yacht in Saint-Tropez, France, soaking up the sun after one of the toughest years in her career. 

In photos obtained by TMZ on Monday, June 22, Vonn wore a white bikini and looked confident as she dove off the boat into the turquoise waters. One photo shows a large scar on her left leg, which starts at her knee and goes down her shin.

The outing comes just four months after the 41-year-old suffered devastating injuries during the 2026 Winter Olympics. Vonn's Olympic comeback was cut short in February after a horrific crash during the women's downhill event. The accident left her with a shattered tibia and a fractured fibular head, injuries that required extensive medical treatment and multiple surgeries.

While the physical recovery has been challenging, Vonn has been honest about another hurdle she didn't expect—learning to accept the scars left behind.

And earlier this month, the gold medalist marked a significant milestone when she wore a short dress in public for the first time since the accident. "First time I wore a dress in public since my injury!!!" she wrote on Instagram. "When I tried on the dress I was really self conscious and wasn’t sure if I was ready to be in public showing my scars… but I’m happy I did it."

She went on to reveal that embracing her new appearance has been one of the most difficult aspects of her recovery. "Accepting my new scars has been one of the hardest parts of this injury mentally and it’s still a work in progress but I’ll get there."

A month before that, the athlete stunned at the Met Gala in a white mermaid silhouette dress which covered her scars. She appeared without crutches, marking the first major public event since her accident.

Following the crash, Vonn underwent eight surgeries, later explaining that the procedures were necessary to save her leg.

Between legs of the Fleetwood Mac Tour and on the heels of his breakup with front-woman, Stevie Nicks, guitarist and producer Lindsey Buckingham wrote "Go Your Own Way" between 1975 and 1976. Buckingham described the writing process as a "stream of consciousness" fueled by his raw emotions from his painful split with Nicks.

The song ended up being the second track the group recorded for their album, Rumours, much of which ended up focusing on the interpersonal struggles happening within the band. Nick was famously not happy with many of the lyrics in "Go Your Own Way," particularly the line: "packing up, shacking up is all you wanna do." She demanded that Buckingham remove or change the lyrics, but he ultimately refused.

Buckingham later confessed that he really struggled with maintaining a semblance of professionalism with Nick after their romantic relationship ended.

"Go Your Own Way" was released as a single in December of 1976, after accumulating more than 800,000 preorders, a record for Warner Brother at the time. The track entered the Billboard Hot 100 in January of 1977, before making it to the top 10 in March of that same year where it would stay for two weeks. This marked the first time Fleetwood Mac had a top 10 single on the charts in the U.S.

"Go Your Own Way" has been played on every tour of the band's since the Fleetwood Mac Tour. Even after Buckingham famously left the band in 1987, they continued to play the track at live performances. Buckingham even went on the play the song on his own solo tours, starting in 1995.

When Rolling Stone compiled their list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time," they ranked "Go Your Own Way" at No. 120. The magazine also listed the song in the No. 2 spot on its list of "Fleetwood Mac's 50 Greatest Songs," just behind "Dreams." The song has received critical acclaim over the years, with critics noting how it has continued to resonate with younger generations, as well as those who were around when it originally was released.

The generational dream of selling the family home and retiring to a cozy place on the beach is being decimated as empty nesters realize it’s no longer a smart financial move. Instead of selling their large home and cashing in on the equity, many retirees are going bigger for reasons that are all too familiar to many American families.

The Upsizing Trend Is Real

Modest starter homes are pushing $1 million across more than half the country. Even with the equity from owning a property for a long time, downsizing may not actually be a good idea. A combination of increasingly high prices, the capital gains ceilings not being reassessed since 1997, and mortgage rates averaging above 6% retirees aren’t getting the cash out they were promised. Retirees may owe taxes on home profits above $250,000, a threshold that hasn't budged in nearly 30 years despite home values tripling.

In addition, a Realtor.com survey found that the average cost of a move, after everything is set up in the new place, is around $17,000. With all of these factors combined, there isn’t enough equity left from the sale of the home to benefit anyone.

The Generational Factor

According to Realtor.com, there’s a growing number of retirees who are selling their homes to upsize and create a family compound. This isn’t a long-held family dream, but rather a mutually beneficial arrangement.

The current state of the economy makes homeownership much more difficult for younger generations. The average age of a home buyer when many retirees entered the real estate market was about 29; now it’s over 40. 

Years of paying high rent, stagnant wages, student debt, and out-of-reach home prices have left around 1.8 million Gen Z and Millennial homes out of the market in 2025 alone. Instead of waiting to leave a home or equity to their children, retirees are investing in a family property now to preserve the generational wealth of homeownership.

There are benefits on either side. Retirees hold more wealth, while adult children bring in a steady income. Even with the increased costs that come with a larger home, higher property taxes, larger repair bills, etc, splitting the bills seems to be more financially viable. 

Kenna Real Estate, a Colorado real estate company, notes that combining households can push inheritance ahead 20 years. It also helps people manage costs better and keeps families close.

The Risk Factors

Owning a multigenerational property sounds like having a large family gathering every night, but there can be some unaccounted-for risk. 

As noted by Fiffik Law Group’s website, the Pennsylvania law group warns that sharing a deed leaves you open to some legal issues. First, anyone named on the deed has equal right of ownership. It’s important to consider what happens if someone dies, wants to move, gets divorced, etc. 

It also exposes you to creditors from all parties involved. If one party has massive debt or a legal lien on their property, that debt or lien would transfer to the home. Sharing a deed can also disqualify retirees from Medicaid coverage for skilled nursing. While that may not be an issue at the start, as retirees age they may need more care than the family can provide. 

On the emotional side, living together as adults can create tension. People used to their own space may suddenly find others’ habits intrusive or exhausting.

Before signing up for an upsizing arrangement, families should have legal paperwork drawn. Clear heirs should be named, and plans for splitting expenses should be included. 

The Way Forward

Combining households can be mutually beneficial, but expectations and obligations need to be clearly outlined before entering into any type of agreement. For many retirees, this isn’t the retirement they dreamed of, but rather one born out of necessity to help uplift children in an unfair and unstable economy.

Since the release of their first album, 1964's Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., the beloved folk-rock duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, better known as Simon & Garfunkel, took the '60s by storm. Despite disbanding in 1970, Simon & Garfunkel are still being recognized for their impact as musicians and within pop culture.

For instance, the publication Far Out magazine recently named Simon & Garfunkel's beloved tune "Mrs. Robinson" the "best song of the summer from the 1960s." Other '60s songs featured in the publication's June 2026 ranking included Lesley Gore's "It’s My Party" from 1963, 1964's "‘I Get Around" by The Beach Boys, and "I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" by The Four Tops, released in 1965.

According to Far Out magazine, "Mrs. Robinson" reached the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 spot in June of 1968 after it appeared in the 1967 movie, The Graduate, starring Anne Bancroft, who played Mrs. Robinson, andDustin Hoffman, who played Benjamin Braddock.

Paul Simon Shared Information About Writing 'Mrs. Robinson' During a 1970 Interview

In a 1970 interview on The Dick Cavett Show, Simon shared how he and Garfunkel ended up recording "Mrs. Robinson" for The Graduate. He explained that late director Mike Nichols approached him and Garfunkel during the production of the film and sent them Charles Webb's 1963 novella, which the movie is based on. Simon said that Nichols initially wanted the duo to make "mostly original music" for the film. However, The Graduate's score eventually was comprised of Simon & Garfunkel's hits from their past albums, like 1966's "Scarborough Fair / Canticle" and 1964's "The Sound of Silence."

Simon clarified that "'Mrs. Robinson' was made up on the spot" while working on the film's score. He explained that he "had been fooling around with a song" that included the famous lyrics "and here's to you, Mrs. Robinson." He also originally had a line about Mrs. Roosevelt, in reference to former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, which was cut.

During the Dick Cavett Show interview, Simon also shared that director Mel Brooks, who was married to Bancroft for over 40 years until her 2005 death, jokingly told him he took issue with the song. According to Simon, Brooks told him that fans of The Graduate would often sing "Mrs. Robinson" to Bancroft while the couple was out in public.

"I ran into Mel Brooks the other day. I had no idea how miserable that song had made his life," quipped the musician, now 84.

Country superstar Ella Langley made an exciting tour announcement.

On June 22, Langley revealed that she's adding a second leg to her first-ever headlining arena tour promoting her 2026 album, Dandelion.

"So excited to announce the second leg of The Dandelion Tour… 🌼♥️" she wrote on Instagram.

While fans can sign up for early access at ellalangleycom, the official pre-sale will kick off on Thursday, June 25.

The general on sale will take place on June 26 at 10 AM local time.

Langley will kick off the tour in August. 20 in Green Bay, WI, before wrapping it up on Halloween, Oct. 31, in Saint Paul, MN, with 19 stops in between across the U.S.

Special guests for the shows will rotate between Ernest, Kameron Merlowe, Laci Kaye Booth and Gabriella Rose.

Despite adding a handful more shows to the tour, there's plenty of demand outside of America, as fans poured into the comments to request European tour dates.

The 10-second video shows her and other people at a party singing along to Roddy Ricch song, "The Box." The clip starts with a woman who looks like her singing, "She sucked a n---- soul, gotta Cash App." The screen turns to other white people in the room singing the slur. The video comes from a Snapchat account called "alannah Keyser."

Her friend, Nick Rogers, defended her on TikTok, saying she is a "caring" person. He also never considered her to be racist. He believes the screenshots to be fake. Lastly, he said the video was from a "different time."

This season already had a similar casting controversy with Vasana Montgomery, who was supposed to be an original islander. She was removed after videos of her using a racial slur were found. Vasana didn't appear in any season 8 episodes.

Alannah's introduction also got viewers talking for another reason. They noticed she interacted with the Black men differently in the episode.

"Bless me," KC Chandler told her when it was his turn. She turned around and he smacked her butt. "Hey, no touching!" Alannah told him. She got on his lap, kissed his neck then got up and said, "That's all you're getting."

She swayed in front of Corbin Mims next, then said, "That's all you're getting." Alannah then shook her butt in front of Sincere Rhea. The women at the villa noticed the difference.

"So Corbin or Sincere is not her type," Trinity Tatumsaid to the girls. "It looked like her type was Bryce." Bryce enjoyed his time with her, which could be a problem for Trinity. Alannah revealed what she was looking for in her intro clip.

"I need a guy who that's in shape," she said. "Body is tea, then he's the one for me. I'm definitely going in for the kill. I'm gonna' get what I want. These boys don't know what's coming."

Fans have mentioned the video in the Instagram comments of the show's post about Casa Amor. The show hasn't addressed the situation yet.

"Silly Love Songs," credited to McCartney's band Wings, sat at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of June 22, 1976, holding the top spot on the charts dated both June 19 and June 26. By the end of the year it was the best-performing single of 1976, landing at No. 1 on Billboard's year-end Hot 100.

A Reply Hiding in a Love Song

The breezy title was not an accident. By the mid-1970s, critics had spent years dismissing McCartney's solo and Wings material as lightweight and sentimental, and his former bandmate John Lennon was among the voices who took shots at his softer songs. McCartney decided to lean all the way in. Rather than fight the label, he wrote a No. 1 single built entirely around it, making the case that there was nothing wrong with a love song in the first place.

The track spent five non-consecutive weeks at the top of the chart between May 22 and July 3, 1976, holding No. 1 over Bicentennial weekend. At five minutes and 54 seconds, it was unusually long for a No. 1 single, running well past the length of a typical pop single of the era. Its layered, looping vocals drew on the kind of harmony McCartney loved most. He has often pointed to the Beach Boys' "God Only Knows" as his favorite song of all time.

Still Standing Among the Greats

The song's reputation only grew. In 2008, Billboard ranked "Silly Love Songs" at No. 31 on its list of the greatest songs of all time, a reminder that the tune McCartney wrote to answer his doubters outlasted most of their reviews.

TheGrand Ole Opry's yearlong centennial celebration is continuing this summer with a special night honoring one of modern country music's most respected artists.

The Opry announced that it will celebrate Jamey Johnson'sbirthday during a special July 14 show featuring a lineup of friends, collaborators and fellow country stars. Johnson is scheduled to appear alongside fellow Opry member Bill Anderson, as well as ERNEST, Randy Houser, Tracy Lawrence, Ruby Leigh, Lilly Meola and Andy Whatley & Co.

The event is part of the Opry's ongoing "Summer of the Century" celebration, which marks the iconic institution's 100th anniversary. Throughout the summer, the Opry is also hosting themed events, backstage tours and free outdoor concerts leading up to the end of the season.

While Johnson has built a loyal following as a performer, he first made his mark in Nashville as a songwriter. His own career took off in 2008 with "In Color," a powerful story song that became one of the defining country hits of the era. Jeremy Clarkson has happy news to share as he considers himself "the world's luckiest man" after having previously revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis. The Top Gear host details the "aggressive" diagnosis, and is now in remission.

Speaking with The Times on Saturday, Clarkson said he "cheated death twice" when the form of the cancer could have spread to various parts of his body. His pancreatic cancer diagnosis became an emotional moment during the Season 5 finale of the Prime Video docuseries Clarkson's Farm. It ended on a cliffhanger with Clarkson in a hospital bed. Months later, the host is happy to talk about his outcome.

“It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble," he explained.

“This is why I have to say to everybody who’s reading this, please, please, please go and get checked. It’s not uncomfortable, it’s not undignified. And it’s a no-brainer. I did, and that’s why I’m sitting here talking to you 11 months down the line," Clarkson said. "I’ve seen so many people die of cancer. It doesn’t bear thinking about what it must be like to live knowing that an illness is going to kill you. It must be very, very, very distressing."

A medical professional discovered the cancer during a routine checkup in May 2025 after a series of tests. After confirming cancerous cells in his prostate gland, he underwent treatment for a malignant tumor last August using a high-intensity focused ultrasound. The procedure did come with complications due to Clarkson's previous medical history with vascular and cardiac problems.

Clarkson reveals he had a major health scare amid his cancer treatment due to taking blood thinners, but admits it was his "own fault." The Top Gear host had previously been fitted with two stents in 2024 to prevent a fatal heart attack.

 "I’d been on drugs for heart issues and I had to come off them during the cancer treatment. Two or three weeks after the cancer operation, I thought I’d better put myself back on those blood thinners. Big mistake, huge," he said. "It [resulted in] a very big emergency in the middle of the night. I’m not even going to go into the treatment that was required as a result of that, because it was horrible. I didn’t ask a doctor, I just thought, 'I’m sure it will be all right to go back on blood thinners.'"

While having taken "a bit of a battering" with treatment, he's grateful to be alive. Amid his remission from cancer, Clarkson hopes to inspire anyone watching Clarkson Farms to take precautions and get checked. He's now more focused on his health and what he eats, and staying away from processed foods. On Instagram, he revealed that Clarkson Farms Season 6 is in production.

Donald Trump is still on the warpath against supposed vandals who are allegedly at fault for the Reflecting Pool fiasco. And this time, he’s turning his attention to former FBI Director James Comey.

The saga continues. It’s no secret that the Reflecting Pool renovations haven’t exactly gone as planned. Instead of a fresh new surface that’s “American flag blue,” the water is algae green, and the liner is tearing apart. On June 19, the President posted on Truth Social, “We’ve had some real problems with Vandalism at the beautiful Reflecting Pool.”

He continued, “Just like three days ago, they destroyed the grass outside the Pool, they’ve also done everything possible to hurt the inside surface that was just installed.” At the time, he criticized ABC’s Jonathan Karl and his televised report on the issue, saying that the journalist was “seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface.” While Karl did dip his hand in and touch some of the already-peeling material, he did not vandalize the Reflecting Pool.

This wasn’t the last time Trump would criticize ‘vandals.’ The following day, he posted on Truth Social, “Many additional people have been arrested having to do with the disgraceful Vandalism of our beautiful Reflecting Pool…What these terrible Vandals have done is a true affront to both Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and should be dealt with accordingly.”

As of now, five people (including former Olympic canoeist David “Davey” Hearn) have been arrested for suspected vandalism of the Reflecting Pool. Hearn denies defacing the Pool, telling The Washington Post, “I didn’t vandalize anything.” 

But the story doesn’t end there. The President took to Truth Social again on Monday, posting, “Of the MANY Statues and Fountains that we rebuilt, renovated, cleaned, and fixed, the only one that was Vandalized was the Reflecting Pool, which is being taken care of ASAP!” In his post, Trump claimed, “It has been given a 300 foot long gash, chemicals have been illegally placed in the water, and the beautiful new grass field has been destroyed with a gigantic 86 47 chemically carved into it.”

While Trump doesn’t directly blame the FBI director, he does add that the supposed vandalism of the grass was “Probably inspired by Dirty Cop, James Comey!” This comes on the heels of Trump’s accusation that Comey used a photo of seashells placed in the number 86 47 as a direct threat. 

The commander in chief ends his post with a warning, “Please remember that there is a 10 year prison sentence for the destruction, or even the attempted destruction of such things - Which will be fully enforced!” 

Hilary Duff didn’t ease back into touring.

She launched it like a full-scale comeback.

The multi-platinum pop star officially kicked off her long-awaited The Lucky Me Tour this week, opening the run with the first of two nights at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. It marks her first global headline tour in nearly two decades, a return that has been building through a series of smaller, sold-out warm-up shows and Las Vegas residencies over the past year.

From the moment she stepped onstage, Duff, 38, made it clear the night wasn’t about nostalgia alone. She opened with "Wake Up," setting the tone for a setlist that moved between eras of her career while spotlighting new material from her sixth studio album, luck… or something.

The album, which Rolling Stone recently named one of the "Best Albums of 2026," has become the backbone of the tour’s fresh direction.

The show blended familiar fan favorites with newer tracks like "Roommates," "Weather For Tennis," "Future Tripping" and "Mature," giving longtime listeners a mix of comfort and surprise. Rather than leaning strictly on past hits, Duff structured the night like a conversation between the different phases of her career from early pop stardom to reinvention and her current creative era.

At one point during the set, Duff paused to acknowledge the moment with the audience.

"You guys have made this all possible for me," she said.

"It feels like such a celebration of our past younger selves to now and who we are. This just feels so full circle and so exciting."

That sense of return is central to the tour’s story. After years away from large-scale touring, Duff first tested the waters with her Small Rooms, Big Nerves run. The intimate, sold-out series quietly reintroduced her to live audiences. Those shows, along with limited Las Vegas performances at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort, set the stage for what is now a full global rollout.

The Lucky Me Tour will travel across seven countries, including stops in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The North American leg continues through cities like Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, and Houston before wrapping in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 16.

From there, the tour moves overseas beginning in Dublin in September, followed by arena dates across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, and later Canada and Mexico into early 2027.

Experts often say that collecting Social Security in retirement should be viewed as a supplemental payment, and not your full retirement plan. As a result, many people opt to collect their payments while working part-time. But, current rules—like the Retirement Earnings Test (RET)—can penalize workers below the Full Retirement Age (FRA) who are collecting Social Security while earning a paycheck.

However, two politicians are looking to repeal the RET, which would do away with the claw-back rules that allow the Social Security Administration (SSA) to reclaim benefits from workers who earn more than the annual limit, which was $24,480 in 2026, according to the SSA. And supporters of this proposal say it will give seniors much more freedom to work in retirement.

Two Politicians Want to Change the Rules for Working Retirees

Senator Rick Scott and House Representative Greg Murphy introduced the Senior Citizens' Freedom to Work Act in April 2026 to repeal the earnings test that can take benefits away from those who are collecting Social Security prior to reaching the Full Retirement Age (FRA), according to Murphy's website.

"American seniors' ability to earn income and enjoy the dignity of work should not be penalized by arbitrary parameters to receive Social Security benefits," Murphy said in a statement on his website. "Current law unnecessarily complicates seniors' right to access the benefits they paid into for the entirety of their careers and must be done away with."

Murphy went on to note that certain guardrails are useful for ensuring that Social Security can remain solvent while also encouraging people to remain in the workforce, but that the RET fails to serve that purpose, calling it "A bureaucratic hurdle that does more harm than good."

Here's What Would Change for Seniors If the Bill Passes

According to the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging, passing this legislation will allow seniors to access their full Social Security benefits without facing penalties for remaining in the workforce. "This bill will encourage workforce participation among aging Americans and provide greater financial flexibility in retirement so they can enjoy their golden years to the fullest," the website says.

Transcripts from a December 2025 meeting on the topic shared some statistics about who would be most affected by this change. "The fact is, workers age 55 or older have been the fastest-growing age group in the labor force for more than two decades," Scott was quoted as saying at the time. "In 1994, they made up just 10 percent of the workforce. In 2022, they made up 24 percent."

However, in 2023, a Congressional Research Service report found that repealing the rule could actually cost seniors in the long run, since it would allow them to collect benefits earlier, reducing the total they could receive over their lifetimes.

"With no recalculation for later benefits remaining after RET removal, these lifetime lower benefits would increase the likelihood of poverty incidence for certain groups, especially women and those aged 80-89,"

How Much Can Seniors Make Now?

As it stands now, someone who will reach their FRA in 2026 can continue to collect a paycheck without changing their Social Security benefits as long as they make $65,160 or less. For every $3 they earn above that amount, the SSA will deduct $1 from their benefits until they reach FRA, according to CNBC.

Once they reach their FRA, those deductions stop, and seniors are free to earn as much as they'd like.

While a change like this could benefit seniors, some worry it could also affect how much money remains available to Social Security recipients in the future, especially since the SSA says the program's funding remains uncertain, as experts believe the administration will become insolvent between 2032 and 2035.
