FatBoy’s 3 New Ice Cream Sandwiches Reimagine Childhood Favorites
FatBoy just dropped three all-new ice cream flavors inspired by childhood favorites, classic combos and some of the most iconic summertime flavors (talk about sweet!).
The cult-favorite ice cream brand, which boasts itself as "America's No. 1 Ice Cream Sandwich," is known for its oversized, over-the-top frozen treats and its latest drop is no exception.
On Thursday, FatBoy unveiled three new ice cream sandwich flavors, and two of them are part of the brand's "Sandwich Pop" series—which transforms its thick and creamy ice cream sandwiches into a less messy, easier to handle, popsicle form.
FatBoy Drops 3 New Ice Cream Sandwiches Ahead of Summer 2026The new arrivals follows "strong consumer demand" for last year's ice cream sandwiches and pops, per the brand and include a S'mores Ice Cream Sandwich Pop, Waffle Cone Ice Cream Sandwich Pop, and Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwich.

"These new flavors reflect how we're continuing to evolve the frozen novelty category," Russell Stokes, CEO of Casper's Ice Cream (the brand behind FatBoy), shared in a statement. "We saw an opportunity to take flavors we know people can't live without and reimagine them in new, exciting ways – bringing together nostalgic favorites, fresh formats and the texture-rich indulgence consumers are craving."
- S'mores Ice Cream Sandwich Pop - Starts with Marshmallow-flavored ice cream that's sandwich and dipped in a chocolatey coating and rolled in graham cracker crumbles, per an official description. The brand says it brings all the nostalgic, campfire-inspired flavor consumers love into a perfectly indulgent pop. No fire needed!
- Waffle Cone Ice Cream Sandwich Pop - Vanilla ice cream sandwich with a rich caramel swirl, dipped in chocolatey coating and rolled in crunchy waffle cone pieces, as described online. FatBoy says it brings the classic scoop shop experience into a sweet-meets-crunch, texture-packed treat.
- Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwich - Rich chocolate ice cream sandwiched between two classic chocolate wafers, per FatBoy. The company suggests the treat spotlights a flavor that (despite its popularity) has rarely taken center stage in the ice cream sandwich aisle.

‘Bye Bye Birdie’ Icon Ann-Margret, 85, Is Still a Gorgeous Redhead as She Receives Major Award
Movie star Ann-Margret may go down in history for her roles in films like Bye Bye Birdie, but the iconic star hit the red carpet to be honored for another valuable cause.
The redheaded beauty, 85, who was born Ann-Margret Olsson in Sweden, always wanted to be an actress. She rose to superstardom in the ’60s in iconic films like Birdie, Viva Las Vegas, and The Train Robbers. Always known for her wild dance moves, successful music career, and sharp presence on camera, the legend doesn't always hit the big screen these days. However, she has appeared on television in recent years, with appearances on Ray Donovan and The Kominsky Method. But in a rare appearance earlier this week, Ann-Margret was honored by the USO for her legacy of service at the Margaret Herrick Library in Beverly Hills, California. Glowing in electric green, the redhead showed that famous smile as she received her award.

“They say Hollywood marriages don’t last, but with Roger by my side, I knew we’d prove them wrong. Fifty years later, and I still remember the way he made me laugh in the back of that car,” the actress shared in a recent Instagram post. In the stunning throwback photo, Ann-Margret sits alongside Smith in the backseat of a car. Looking dapper in a gray suit, he holds his sunglasses in his hand.

Ian Somerhalder Explains Money Struggles After 'The Vampire Diaries'
Acting is a gamble; it can pay off financially or keep you struggling throughout your life. Ian Somerhalder accomplished that with his starring role on The Vampire Diaries, but revealed how he still struggled after retirement.
Somerhalder played Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries for eight seasons. He then did one season of V-Wars. The actor has tried to invest afterward and spend time with his wife, Nikki Reed.

TV Guide claimed Somerhalder earned $40,000 per episode in 2010, which was the year season 2 of the vampire show aired. The series pushed out 22 episodes per season, and that pay would have increased from there. The actor also earns residuals from the long-running drama.

"I retired from acting seven years ago," Somerhalder told E! News. "I left an insanely lucrative career in television after financial upheaval from building a business that I didn’t build properly. And due to fraud, it put my wife and I into an eight-figure hole."
He said that with her help, that changed. "But Nikki and I did it," he added. "You know, she really negotiated us out of this deal, but we sold houses, paintings, cars, watches, everything."
Somerhalder continues to enjoy his retirement and finds new interests. Reed has also slowed down on acting after playing Rachel Thompson in V-Wars.
The actor is still the co-founder of a company claiming to sell supplements with more absorption. His brand, Brothers Bond Bourbon, with co-star Paul Wesley, continues.
"For close to a decade while filming in the south, Ian and Paul drank bourbon together on and off screen," reads the company's website. "Through their deep sense of brotherhood and shared love of bourbon, they formed a vision of crafting an exceptional whiskey company." The brand launched in 2021.

Highly Anticipated Romantasy Sequel To 2024 Self-Published Novel Is Among Most Anticipated June 2026 Releases on Goodreads
Cast your mind back to 2024, when Rachel Schneider self-published the first novel in her Fire & Meal duology. Metal Slinger became an immediately romantasy hit, and it wasn’t a surprise when MacMillan Publishers picked up the publishing rights and re-released it.
Since then, eyes have been on the second novel in the series. Light Wielder is finally heading to shelves in June 2026, and Goodreads users rank it among the most anticipated novels coming out during the month. It’s the most highly anticipated romantasy release that month, and you can pre-order it right now.
‘Light Wielder’ Continues the StoryMetal Slinger introduced us to Brynn, who has been training with the Alaha her whole life. All she has ever wanted is to become a guard in an attempt to head to the next annual market hosted by the Kenta, who happened to be the people who exiled her and forced her to a life at sea.
Of course, when her identity is exposed, Brynn has to prove her loyalty to the Alaha. We head out on an adventure, as Brynn learns about the magical world that has been denied to her all this time. And it turns out that Brynn isn’t her original name! Who is she, and what will she choose when Acker becomes part of her life.
This was one of those books that left readers with their jaws on the floor, and yet it seemed to take forever for the sequel to come out. That wait is finally over, with Light Wielder jumping ahead four years, and you definitely need to read the first book before you jump into the second.
MacMillan Publishers
A Brutal War Has StartedLight Wielder picks up in the middle of a brutal war. After Jovie’s decisions at the end of the first novel, Kenta and Strou have rallied against Roison and Alaha. The Maile people can currently just watched from the sidelines, and Jovie will do everything she can to protect her people.
Romantasy fans need to see Jovie and Acker find their way back to each other, especially with the jaw-dropping twist that came at the end of Metal Slinger. However, can those fractures be mended? Will the Matching Bond win out, especially as Acker finds a way to infiltrate Jovie’s dreams?
Decisions need to be made on both sides, and we’ll get to find out how it all plays out on June 9, 2026. This is sure to be a sequel that’s worth the wait!
These Are the ‘90s-Inspired Decor Trends Designers Say Are Making a Comeback
Somewhere between the Carolyn Bessette Kennedy coffee table book and the lived-in Nancy Meyers-inspired aesthetic, we’ve found ourselves in the midst of a '90s revival.
For many of us, it’s a welcome nod to our childhood, while for others, particularly those who are subscribed to the trends circulating on TikTok, it’s a longing for an almost mythical era that pre-dated the chronically online and seemingly unstable time we’re living through right now.
But which '90s trends are going to come back in a big way, and which ones are likely to stay in the past? These are the 90s-inspired decor trends that designers say will make a comeback, and how to get them right in 2026.
1. Dark Wood TonesPhoto by Clay Banks on Unsplash
“Dark woods have been the biggest design revival since the '90s. They were revived because of their contrast with the light grays that dominated throughout much of the 2000s,” explains Ana Li, design director, Linq Kitchen. “While this new version of the wood will look different from what we grew up with (the heavy, glossy red cherry), it still utilizes a sophisticated approach to applying deep reddish-brown stains to slab front cabinets, one that emphasizes horizontal grain patterns and organic texture.”
‘‘I am seeing many pairings of these rich wood tones with bold forest green marble countertops and thick bullnose edges,” adds Li. “This appears to be a reference to the luxury executive style that was commonplace at the upper end of interior design in the 1990s.”
2. Window Seating and Breakfast Nooks View this post on Instagram“I also see a lot of built-in window seating and cozy breakfast nooks, all using dark wood paneling to create a sense of architectural permanence and enclosure,” says Li. “This movement towards darker, more saturated color schemes returns us to the 1990's concept of the library-style kitchen, where a kitchen appears to be a lived-in den rather than an uninviting, sterile laboratory.”
According to Li, we can achieve the feeling of having lived in our kitchens by integrating appliances into the wood paneling and using oversized wrought-iron lighting fixtures to recreate the grounded, old-world luxury that gave the 1990's such a sense of substance and permanence.
3.Warm Colors and Character View this post on Instagram“What we're really seeing is a full rejection of the cold, gray, stripped-back interiors that dominated the last decade,” says Courtney Blanton, founder, Courtney Blanton Interiors. “Clients want warmth, character and homes that feel like something. Moldings are back. Dental detail, paneling, painted millwork. Color is back too, layered and deliberate, with upholstery and textiles doing as much work as the architecture around them.”
4. Everyday CharmPhoto by Fernando Bengoechea on Getty Images
Pattern and “everyday charm” details have made a big comeback recently. “Checkerboard floors are turning up again, as are cafe curtains that cut glare and add softness without blocking all the light,” says Lenny Kharitonov, CEO, Emma Mason. “Decorative trims that feel slightly nostalgic, including scalloped edges and skirted sink moments, are showing up as accents rather than an all-over theme.”
View this post on InstagramWhat makes the revival feel current is the finish and the editing, says Kharitonov. “Matte or satin paint tends to keep buttery yellows and warm creams looking modern, while high-gloss can push the look back into period costume,” he explains. “Tile looks updated when it has a handmade texture and is paired with tighter, warmer grout rather than stark white lines that call attention to every joint. Hardware is being mixed more confidently, too. A touch of chrome can nod to the decade, but it’s usually balanced with warm brass so the kitchen feels collected, not matchy.”
5. The "Butter Mom" Kitchen View this post on InstagramA butter mom kitchen blends cozy 90s style with a hunger for warmth, homemade meals, and slower living. “Picture curvy furniture, honey-toned wood floors, and the soft glow of Tuscan style,” says Adi Gogan, CEO of Texas Pro Remodelling. “It trades cold, polished surfaces for playful colors, floral wallpaper, frilly curtains and soft yellows—comfortable and functional, never sterile.”
View this post on InstagramThink of the kitchens in The Parent Trap or Gilmore Girls. “Warm pine furniture with scratches and dents is the point,” says Gogan. “A butcher block island or antique worktable replaces the built-in version. Hutches and cabinets hold thrifted treasures and dried botanicals.”
6. Honey Oak & Warm WoodPhoto by Lisa Anna on Unsplash
“For years, new homeowners rushed to paint honey oak cabinets white, gray, or navy, but we were too hasty,” says Gogan. “These cabinets were 90s staples for a reason—they're warm and inviting. Now they're back, often reclaimed or sustainably sourced, with textured finishes that feel current.”
7. Chrome Is BackPhoto by Franco Debartolo on Unsplash
“Brass dominated for a decade. It was everywhere. Now designers are setting it aside. Chrome, once tied to harsh 90s minimalism, is appearing in softer spaces,” says Gogan. “The trick is restraint. One chrome pendant over a marble island works. An entire chrome bathroom doesn't. Use it as punctuation, not the whole paragraph.”
8. Glass Block Walls View this post on Instagram“This one surprised me. For twenty years, we tore out glass block walls. They felt cold, corporate and hopelessly dated. Now they're back in bathrooms, but different—curved, colored and used sparingly,” explains Gogan. “A single window panel, a shower partition, an entryway insert.”
9. High-Gloss Lacquer View this post on InstagramAccording to Gogan, the matte era is ending and glossy lacquered cabinets, furniture and décor are appearing everywhere. “Custom built-ins in white or soft gray lacquer add light and depth, balancing beautifully with natural textures. The finish feels sculptural—like living with art.”
Gogan also points out that gloss amplifies everything: craftsmanship, light, color choices. “Done right, it's stunning. Done wrong, it's a dentist's waiting room from 1994. Pair it with linen, raw wood or aged stone.”
10. Deep Earth TonesPhoto by Clay Banks on Unsplash
After years of greige, warm depth is returning. “Maple, cherry, terracotta, taupe. These aren't simple dark colors—they're complex, with undertones of olive, rust, mud and plum,” says Gogan. “They make a room feel inhabited rather than staged. That warmth feels genuinely radical right now.”

Rory McIlroy’s Daughter Is Growing Up Fast—Meet Poppy!
When Rory McIlroy won the Masters tournament in April 2026, it felt good—but there was another part of his life that felt even better. The golf icon said that becoming a parent with his wife, Erica Stoll, to their daughter, Poppy McIlroy was the greatest thing he's ever done on or off the green.
"It's amazing," he said to Golf Week after Poppy was born. "You see other people having kids and babies, and you'll say congratulations and you're happy for them, but you don't really know how it feels. It's probably the best part of being a human being, and I'm glad that I got to experience it."
Poppy famously loves watching her dad golf, especially during Masters week.
"This has definitely turned into Poppy’s favorite week of the year," he said, adding jokingly, "I don’t know if it’s because of the Par 3 tournament or it's [because of the] all you can eat ice cream in the player services building.”

Yes, and he adores her.
"Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, born August 31st, 12:15pm," Rory wrote on Instagram announcing his daughter's arrival. "She is the absolute love of our lives. Mother and baby are doing great."
"You feel like you get to know your baby while she’s still in her mother’s belly, but to go from not having met this person to having unconditional love for them, there’s nothing like it in the world," McIloy Golf Week. “It’s probably the best part of being a human being, and I’m glad that I got to experience it.”

What age is Rory McIlroy's daughter Poppy?Born Aug. 31, 2020, Poppy is five years old as of this writing in April 2026—and she's already demonstrated talent at the tee, going viral in 2025 for a successful putt.

Rory said in a press conference at the time that Poppy has a lot in common with his wife, but that she gets her love of golf from him.
"Poppy, like she's a mini Erica. It's like living with two of them, which is great a lot of the time," he said. "She is the most unbelievably polite and respectful and well-behaved little girl, and I really love that she started to get into the game a lot more, and it all stemmed from the putt last year at the Par 3."
Poppy's enthusiasm meant that McIlroy had an extra putter in his bag this year.
He continued, "She made sure that I brought her putter up this year so she could hit the putt with her putter and not mine. Just to see her grow up to have her travel the world to see different places, to give her a life that I could only dream about when I was that age, that's been the coolest thing."
Rory said in a press conference after the 2026 Masters that becoming a dad made winning the tournament even more meaningful and gave him a new appreciation for his own parents, Rosie McDonald and Gerry McIlroy.

“In the moment, I think when the ball trickled by and I marked it there from two inches or whatever, I just looked at the back of the green, and I give it one of these," he said, miming a fist pump. "Because I saw my mom and dad and Erica and Poppy, and I was just like, 'I can’t believe I’ve just done it again.'”
Rory said that having his entire family present made his win extra meaningful, in part because his parents initially thought they may have been bad luck.
“They missed it [in 2025], and the first thing I wanted to do was fly home to see them because I obviously wouldn’t be sitting up here if it wasn’t for them,” Rory recalled. “I had to sort of convince them to come this year because they thought the reason I won last year was because they weren’t here.”
“Mom and dad, I owe everything to you,” he added, fighting back tears. “You are … you’re the most wonderful parents and if I can be half the parent to Poppy that you were to me then I know I’ve done a good job.”

This New Series for Kids Has a Surprising Disney Link
At a time when many parents are rethinking how screen time affects their kids' behavior, a new children’s series is taking a notably different approach. It's one shaped in part by a longtime Disney producer known for big, cross-generational storytelling.
Developed with input from a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Lulubug's Garden focuses on emotional development in young viewers, helping them build foundational skills like recognizing feelings, practicing self-regulation and navigating everyday social situations. But unlike much of today’s fast-paced, overstimulating content, this show leans into a calmer, more intentional tone without sacrificing fun or engagement.
Behind the project is creator Jil Hunter, a mother of seven who set out to create the kind of thoughtful, less overwhelming programming she wanted for her own kids. She’s joined by Dr. Karen Manotas, a child and adolescent psychiatrist whose expertise in early development and school-based mental health helped shape the show’s emotional framework.
And then there’s Brigham Taylor—a veteran Disney producer whose credits include the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, The Jungle Book, and Christopher Robin. His involvement brings a storytelling sensibility designed to resonate not just with kids, but with the families watching alongside them.
Together, the team is aiming to create something that feels both meaningful and accessible: a series that encourages kids to slow down, tune into their emotions and build skills they can carry into everyday life.
Select media outlets are getting an early preview of the series ahead of its debut, with full episodes and additional materials available under embargo through April 30—offering a first look at what could be a refreshing shift in the landscape of children’s programming. Be sure to check it out!

Eve Plumb, Who Played Jan on ‘The Brady Bunch,’ Is 67 and Stunning in Rare Red Carpet Appearance
Eve Plumb may have played the ultimate middle child, Jan Brady, on The Brady Bunch, but she's shining brightly these days!
Plumb, 67, skyrocketed to fame on the original Brady Bunch series, which aired from 1969 to 1974 on ABC and became an international phenomenon. She tackled the famous role of middle daughter Jan, who was often known for playing second fiddle to her glamorous older sister Marcia, played by Maureen McCormick. In her post-Brady years, Plumb successfully transitioned to adult roles and has been a frequent guest star on TV series like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Blue Bloods. But many of us will always love her for her original role, and that famous "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" delivery.
In the present day, Plumb is looking more glamorous than ever. The actress hit the red carpet premiere of The Other Bennet Sister in New York City, and was gorgeous in a green suit. Marcia may have gotten more attention back then, but Plumb is stealing the show now.

What Famous Brady Bunch Line Did Eve Plumb Hate?Plumb, whose new memoir Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyondwas released this week, spoke about The Brady Bunch's iconic legacy during a recent appearance on CBS Mornings. But in the conversation, Plumb revealed that she actually hated the famous "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" line, saying that it actually “really bothered her.”
“It, oddly enough, felt like a schoolyard taunt,” Plumb explained.
When she saw the moment parodied on Saturday Night Live in the '90s, it didn't make her feel good.
“It took me back to being that age, and it felt as if someone was making fun of my performance,” Plumb shared. “But this was an adult actor on a comedy show, and I was an adult. So it was a very odd reaction to have, but that's sort of how I felt.”
Despite that moment, knowing that so many people identified with Jan's experience as the middle child is a thing that Plumb takes great pride in.
“It's such an amazing thing, and it's like an honor to have people feel this way about Jan,” Plumb said. “It's so great, and I really appreciate it. At the time, we were sort of insular. We were making our shows. We didn't have social media. So we were just trying to make the best show we could and I feel it was great that they really included these storylines, that children have emotions, children have hard times. And to have people like that is is really wonderful.”

You Can Now Book Hotels Through Uber—But Here's Why It's Actually Cool
Most of us use Uber for that frantic dash to the airport or the late-night ride home, but the company is making a major play to handle your entire vacation itinerary. At its annual "Go-Get" event in New York City, Uber announced that U.S. users can now book hotels directly within the app.
While "another booking site" might not always sound revolutionary, the integration here is a genuine logistics win for travelers who want to trim the mental load of managing multiple apps. Through a partnership with Expedia Group, Uber is opening up access to 700,000 hotels worldwide, with vacation rental inventory from Vrbo expected to join the lineup later this year.
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, who previously led Expedia for over a decade, is positioning the platform as a one-stop shop. "Uber is now an app for everything, where you can go, you can get, and now you can travel," Khosrowshahi said during the launch. "Life feels busier than ever—too many apps, too many steps, too many decisions... at Uber, our mission is to reimagine the way the world moves, so you can spend less time managing life and more time living it."

1974 Best-Selling Stephen King Novel Slated for Highly-Anticipated Amazon Prime Miniseries
In the early 1970s, Stephen King was an English teacher living in a trailer with his wife and two children and a stack of five unpublished novels. In 1973, a little novel he titled Carriewas received by Doubleday and published behind a $2000 advance for King.
Upon publication in May of 1974, the president of the New English Library read it in one night and acquired the rights to mass-market publication for $400,000 from the imprint. The $200,000 that King would receive from the deal would allow him to quit his teaching job, become a full-time author, and the rest is horror legend history.
Initial sales of Carrie were decent, however the novel would go on to become a bestseller after the 1976 film release starring Sissy Spacek as the titular character. Because of the boosted sales from the film, the book would go on to hit the New York Timesbestseller list, solidifying King as a debut author. Since its publication in 1974, Carrie has sold more than four million copies world wide.

The novel follows Carrie White, a shy and sheltered 16-year-old girl in Chamberlain, Maine who discovers she possesses telekinetic powers. Carrie lives with her abusive and religiously fanatic mother, Margaret, who does nothing to protect her daughter from the intense bullying she's on the receiving end of at school. When Carrie is tormented by her fellow students on prom night, the cruelty from her peers causes her to unleash her powers in an act no one could've predicted, Carrie included.
Carrie has been adapted numerous times since the novel came out. The first aforementioned film was released in 1976, and would be followed by a sequel in over 20 years later in 1999 that was critically panned and a box office bomb. Two more film remakes would be released in 2002 and 2013, but neither received the same acclaim as the first initial film.
However fans of King are in luck, because Mike Flanagan, largely considered a master in the horror space, is taking the next swing at an adaptation of King's debut novel.
View this post on InstagramFlanagan, known for The Haunting of Hill House and more, has previously written and directed film versions of King's Doctor Sleep, Gerald's Game, and The Life of Chuck. According to Deadline, Flanagan's take on Carrie is, "a reimagining of the story of misfit high schooler, Carrie White, who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden death, Carrie finds herself contending with the challenges of attending high school, a bullying scandal, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers."
The Amazon Prime mini-series will consist of eight episodes and is starring Summer H. Howell and Samantha Sloyan as Carrie White and her mother, respectively. The series is set to premiere in October of this year.

'RHORI's Rulla Nehme Pontarelli Reveals What Viewers Didn’t See from Husband’s Affair Drama (Exclusive)
The drama is really heating up on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. And for Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, much of it centers around her increasingly tense dynamic with co-star Jo-Ellen Tiberi.
Rulla addressed the ongoing friction between the two in an exclusive interview with Parade. She pushes back on the narrative that she’s been targeting Jo-Ellen, instead offering her own perspective on what really went down.
“We’re cordial,” Rulla said carefully. “I’ve tried to take the high road despite everything that’s been thrown my way.”
Rulla insists the situation is more nuanced than it comes across on TV, especially when it comes to the now-infamous photos of Rulla’s husband, Brian Pontarelli, and his mistress that circulated among the group before reaching her.
“I was actually grateful that [Jo-Ellen] brought it to light,” Rulla revealed, a surprising admission given the tension. “What I wasn’t okay with was that those photos were shared around the group, around production and beyond before they even got to me. I would never do that to her.”
That distinction, she says, is key to understanding why trust between them has broken down.
“I can be cordial, I can be friendly, but I don’t think I can trust her at this stage,” Rulla explained. “And that’s hard.”
According to Rulla, one of the biggest sticking points is Jo-Ellen’s continued communication with her husband’s past mistress, something she finds both confusing and hurtful.
“She's maintained communication with that ratchet individual, aka the cockroach,” she said. “If you want to be a ‘girl’s girl,’ why are you maintaining ties to someone whose objective is to hurt my family? That’s where it doesn’t sit right with me.”
Related: Who Is In ‘The Real Housewives of Rhode Island’ Cast?
Rulla also explained a bit more about her husband filing a complaint against Jo-Ellen at her workplace. She was adamant that she had no involvement in any attempt to jeopardize Jo-Ellen’s job.
“I want to make this very clear. I had zero participation in that,” she said. “This was not some plot to get her fired.”
Instead, Rulla explained that the situation stemmed from a conversation between her husband and a longtime friend, who also happened to be Jo-Ellen’s boss at the time. What followed, she claims, was blown out of proportion.
“It turned into, ‘They’re coming after my job, they’re attacking my family,’ and that’s just not accurate,” Rulla said. “It’s frustrating to have that narrative out there when it’s simply not true.”
Despite everything, Rulla says she’s making a conscious effort to keep things as peaceful as possible moving forward, even if full reconciliation feels unlikely.
“I’ve tried to remain amicable without getting too close,” she said. “Because at the end of the day, trust is everything and once that’s broken, it’s not easy to get back.”
As for why Rulla opted to stay in her marriage with Brian despite his infidelity, ultimately, her choice to stay comes down to a belief that their relationship is worth fighting for.
"He is a great provider. He is a fun partner. He is an extremely hard worker and a very well-respected foot and ankle surgeon. A wonderful father. He is a lot of fun. He is ultra generous," she explained. "And no, for the record, people, I'm not here for money or anything like that."
Luckily for Rulla, she seems to be doing just fine on her own financially as a wealth planner for some of Rhode Island's richest families.
As the season continues, it’s clear this feud between Jo-Ellen and Rulla is far from over. And if Rulla’s perspective is any indication, viewers may not have seen the full story just yet.
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. Episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
22 Years Ago Today, This Cult-Classic Teen Movie Was Released
Now-iconic teen film Mean Girls made its remarkable debut 22 years ago and even to this day, it continues to resonate with audiences as one of the defining cult classics of early 2000s pop culture.
Released on April 30, 2004, the movie’s sharp humor, iconic one-liners and the very relatable high school dynamics easily captured viewers’ attention.
Written by Tina Fey, Mean Girls follows the story of a teenage girl who moves from Africa to a suburban high school in Illinois after spending 12 years as a homeschooled student.
Speaking of homeschooling, the film was originally titled Homeschooled, but as the script evolved, the writer changed it to Mean Girls to better highlight the protagonist’s transition from home education to a traditional school setting.
"Mean Girls" cast Lindsay Lohan (as Cady Heron), Amanda Seyfried (as Karen Smith), Lacey Chabert (as Gretchen Wieners) and Rachel McAdams (as Regina George).Although the storyline followed the familiar beats of a typical teen movie, its impressive ensemble cast added depth, humor, chemistry and undeniable flair to the narrative.
The lead stars included Lindsay Lohan as the protagonist Cady Heron, who becomes entangled with the high school “mean girls” also known as “The Plastics,” led by Rachel McAdams as the iconic Queen Bee Regina George, alongside her loyal “minions” Gretchen Wieners, played by Lacey Chabert and Karen Smith, portrayed by Amanda Seyfried.
Without a doubt, the movie became a major hit at the time of its release.
Mean Girls secured the No. 1 status at the box office during its opening weekend.
With the massive success, the film reportedly grossed over 86.1 million domestically and $130.1 million worldwide on a production budget of around $17 to 18 million.
View this post on InstagramSeven years after the original movie was released, it returned for a sequel, but this time with an entirely new lineup.
Mean Girls 2 showcased stars from Channel and Nickelodeon with Meaghan Martin, Jennifer Stone, Maiara Walsh, Nicole Gale Anderson, Claire Holt and Diego Boneta as the lead cast.
In addition, the film was also adapted into a Broadway musical. Launched in 2024, Fey and Tim Meadows reprised their roles while Lohan made a surprise cameo.
In the same year, Mean Girls celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special treat for fans.
In a post, Fey announced the release of the limited-edition collectible, a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in its signature burn book packaging.
The collectible includes a new featurette, Mean Girls: Class of '04, in which the writer and the cast of the 2024 musical remake look back on the original film’s lasting legacy.

On Season 2 of Castle Impossible, Daphne and Ian Fig Will Further Upgrade Their ChateauHosted by married couple and home renovators Daphne and Ian Fig, Castle Impossible Season 1 followed the Figs restoring a French chateau, which sits on 130 acres of land, to livable condition. The incredible home, which is 500 years old, was left to Daphne by her grandfather.
Season 2 of Castle Impossible will continue chronicling the Figs as they renovate Chateau de Lesigny, but with a focus on business-driven renovations. For instance, the Figs will build a tea salon, library, dungeon tavern and honeymoon suite, all of which they could potentially rent out to guests and for events. They will also build a residence for Daphne's granny in the castle's dove tower.
Since the chateau is so old, it's no surprise that Daphne and Ian will deal with a few minor disasters this season, including mold, fungus, water leaks and "crumbling infrastructure," according to HGTV. I'm not worried, though — the Figs will undoubtedly get creative and fix any issues that come their way.

Sarah Jessica Parker Recreates Iconic ‘Sex and the City’ Moment With a Royal Family Twist
Sarah Jessica Parker and Camilla Parker Bowles recreated an iconic Sex and the City moment with a royal family twist during the queen consort's visit to New York City.
The actress and senior royal descended the iconic stairs of the New York Public Library on April 29, 2026, to support a literacy event for The Queen's Reading Room charity. Parker is a literacy advocate.
The royal family's Instagram page shared a video of the women walking within the historical building, located in Midtown Manhattan. A caption explained the unlikely moment between two women bonded by a love of literature.
“'A classic New York landmark that houses all the great love stories…' - Carrie Bradshaw. The New York Public Library houses more than 50 million items, including nearly 15 million books, serving as a major center for scholarship, learning, and public access to knowledge," the caption began.

Her Majesty also had the opportunity to spend time with representatives of domestic violence charities, who make use of the library," the caption concluded.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Parker told reporters, "Every time you shine a spotlight on reading and the relationship between a reader and a book and how it changes lives and enriches lives and cultivates empathy and curiosity, I’m so grateful. And for Her Majesty, it means a great deal."
Chris Jackson/Getty ImagesParker was joined by Anna Wintour and Jenna Bush Hager at the event. Hager told the entertainment outlet, "What I love about her is her love of reading. And she’s here promoting that at a time when we’re desperate for our kids to read more, for books to be a bigger part of the conversation."

Longtime Sex and the City fans should instantly recall the stunning New York space. It was supposed to be where Parker's character, Carrie Bradshaw, was to marry Mr. Big (Chris Noth). The HBO character chose the library for her wedding, deeming it a romantic venue that combined her love of New York and literature.
However, the wedding never took place as Big got cold feet. His refusal to marry Carrie sparked an iconic scene where the character ran down the library's stairs, into a car, and away from the venue.
King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles' four-day tour of the United States marked the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence. The couple began their visit on April 27, and it ended on April 30.

Legendary '60s Band Adds 40 Dates to First Tour in Six Decades
The Beach Boys’ legacy still has plenty of momentum, as they group is expanding their long-awaited return to the road with dozens of new tour dates.
The legendary ’60s band has added 40 stops to what marks their first world tour in six decades. What began as a small run of just seven summer concerts has grown into a full-scale international trek, with performances scheduled across the U.S., the U.K., and Canada, per their website.
The tour is set to kick off in early May in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, before heading overseas and eventually circling back to North America, with a lot of iconic venues stops on the way.
The tour is the first since the departure of longtime member Bruce Johnston in March after more than 60 years with the band. While Johnston is no longer touring full-time, he is expected to make select guest appearances, including at the Hollywood Bowl shows around the Fourth of July, per sources.
At this point, Mike Love remains the only classic-era member consistently touring with the band. Former bandmate Al Jardine continues to perform separately with his own group, the Pet Sounds Band.
Earlier this year, the band released new merchandise tied to their upcoming We Gotta Groove box set, which revisits their 1976–1977 era with remastered tracks and previously unreleased material.
They’re also celebrating the 60th anniversary of their iconic album Pet Sounds. To celebrate, the band is hosting “The Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day” on May 16 in Santa Monica, a festival blending live music, a community run, and beach-inspired activities. The event will support the Surfrider Foundation, which focuses on protecting oceans and coastlines—the perfect cause for a band that ignited surf rock.
Forgotten ‘70s Sitcom, Named One of the 'Worst TV Spinoffs' of All Time, Ended 46 Years Ago Today
It’s been 46 years since Hello, Larry ended its run on NBC. The short-lived sitcom, which starred M*A*S*H legend McLean Stevenson, Donna Wilkes, and future Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards, aired from January 26, 1979, to April 30, 1980. It was cancelled after just 38 episodes and is barely remembered by many classic TV fans.
Hello, Larry was not technically a spinoff, but it featured multiple crossover episodes with the then-hit Diff’rent Strokes. It ranked at No. 8 on Rolling Stone’s list of “the 10 worst TV spinoffs,” on a list that included short-lived sequels such as Joanie Love Chachi, the Brady Brides, and Joey.
“And goodbye, Larry,” the outlet noted. “NBC designed MacLean Stevenson's new comedy as a spinoff of one of their few hit shows at the time, partially in the hopes that fans would follow. It was apparent from the very beginning, however, that the story of a divorced man fleeing to the Pacific Northwest to become a radio talk show host was not the thing to lift them out of their slump. …Hello, Larry quickly went from great white hope to the butt of jokes and is still considered one of the worst sitcoms of all time.”
RELATED: Iconic ‘70s Sitcom Featured One of the Longest Laughs in TV History
Identity crisisHello, Larry struggled with its identity from the jump. It started as a show about a radio talk show host, Larry Adler (Stevenson), and his teen daughters (Wilkes, Richards) moving to a new city, with a focus on the call-in radio station. The series swiftly put its focus on the divorced dad’s relationship with his girls. Then, crossovers with Diff’rent Strokes took place. New characters were added throughout Hello Larry’s two-season run, including Harlem Globetrotters legend Meadowlark Lemon. By season two, Wilkes left and was replaced by Krista Errickson.
'Hello Larry'- Joanna Gleason as Morgan Winslow, McLean Stevenson as Larry Alder, Kim Richards as Ruthie Alder, Krista Errickson as Diane Alder.Years later, Wilkes explained her departure from the show at the Cinema Wasteland panel, noting that she didn’t have “chemistry” with Stevenson.
“We were the kids, and he was the star,” Wilkes said of the sitcom. “And it wasn't going so good anyway, Hello, Larry…. Pretty much, I said I wanted to leave. But I think that if we had a leading man that we had really good chemistry with... we had screen tested with about a thousand leading men from all over the world, actually, for that role, and there were quite a few of them that were really good that we really wanted to work with. And McLean was kind of just popped onto the scene because he had left M*A*S*H, and Fred Silverman had promised him his own show. That's why he left M*A*S*H, he wanted to have his own show, and I guess this was his show.”
RELATED: Henry Winkler Addresses Rumors That ‘Laverne & Shirley’ Stars Were a ‘Nightmare’
Stevenson spoke out about the changes to the showStevenson had high hopes for Hello, Larry after leaving his iconic M*A*S*H role as Lt. Colonel Henry Blake and starring in two other failed series—a self-titled sitcom and another, In the Beginning, in which he played a liberal priest.
In a March 1979 interview with the Press-Tribune, Stevenson admitted that when he began the role, he “made the mistake” of announcing that he was the “new Bonnie Franklin (One Day at a Time) of TV.” “The single parent raising a couple of daughters. The show started that way, but it’s not that way now,” he added at the time. “We’re fighting to overcome the image we first represented."
Stevenson was also confident that then-NBC boss Fred Silverman would stick by the series, but low ratings did it in.
’60s Legend Reacts to Teyana Taylor’s Awkward Onstage Moment
Dionne Warwick embodied women-supporting-women energy alongside Teyana Taylor at the 2026 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
On Wednesday night, the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles lit up as celebrities and music artists gathered for a spectacular evening of celebration, performances and honors in music.
Amid the glitz and glam of the ceremony, Warwick and Taylor’s appearance took the spotlight following an onstage mishap.
The "I Say a Little Prayer" hitmaker stepped onto the stage as a presenter to honor the R&B artist with the Visionary Award.
Stunning in an all-white suit, the legendary singer presented Taylor, who looked equally radiant, with her honor.

However, the 35-year-old singer soon found herself in an awkward situation when the teleprompter indicated that her speech had not been provided.
“Teyana Taylor, we have no script for you,” the teleprompter reportedly read, according to INYIM Media, to which the singer accidentally read the moment aloud.
“They messed up my mic, my ears…” Taylor responded, referring to the earlier technical issues with her in-ear monitor and her microphone.
“First my ears, now this. Come on…” she added.
The incident prompted her to walk off the stage, leaving Warwick momentarily alone, before she was escorted off by her son, who appeared disappointed and was heard saying, “I don’t know. See y’all later.”
The show must go on, as they say. Host Keke Palmer brought Warwick back on stage and framed it as if she had something important to add before inviting Taylor back on stage.
She later swapped her floor-length white dress for a baggy hoodie to deliver her acceptance speech, this time loaded on the teleprompter.
Following the incident, Warwick proved that she is a true “girls’ girl” after taking to Instagram to show her love for Taylor.
“Proud of you always,” she posted on her Instagram story along with a red carpet photo of the singer.

— Polly (@pollygarcia0915) April 30, 2026The award-winning singer responded, “I love you, mama love,” showing mutual admiration and appreciation between the two.
In a separate post on Instagram Story, Warwick shared the official statement of Billboard regarding the onstage mishap, thanking the organization for clarifying things up.
“Tonight at Billboard Women in Music, there was a glitch with the teleprompter, resulting in Teyana Taylor not being able to give her speech during her well-deserved moment. Before the show ended, Dionne Warwick returned to the stage and invited Taylor to share her heartfelt speech with the audience and celebrate her Visionary Award. Billboard representatives shared, ‘We want to thank Teyana Taylor for her professionalism and patience in the face of an unexpected technical issue, her voice, artistry and impact remain extraordinary and we were honored to celebrate her as this year’s Visionary Award recipient,’” the statement reads.
