Mango's Relaxed Layering Piece Is the Stylish Upgrade Your Wardrobe Needs for Cool Summer Nights

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Men's fashion has been moving in a completely different direction lately. The focus is no longer on overly structured outfits or trying too hard to look polished. Instead, people are leaning into clothing that feels relaxed, wearable and effortless while still looking put together. Comfort-driven fashion has fully blended into everyday street style.

Layering has become one of the biggest style trends because it adds more personality to outfits without requiring a complicated wardrobe. Social media feeds are packed with relaxed fall looks, oversized textures, earthy tones and casual pieces styled in ways that feel natural instead of overly curated. The goal now is to find clothing that works in different situations, whether it is grabbing coffee, traveling, running errands or going out at night.

That is exactly why textured overshirts are becoming such a staple in modern menswear. They sit right between a lightweight jacket and a button-up shirt, making them one of the easiest pieces to throw on year-round. The relaxed fit and layered styling potential make them feel practical while still adding dimension and texture to an outfit.

One piece standing out right now is the Corduroy Overshirt With Pockets from Mango. Priced at $39.99, the overshirt taps directly into the ongoing obsession with vintage-inspired textures and casual elevated basics. Corduroy continues trending heavily because it adds warmth and depth to an outfit without feeling overly formal. It creates that effortless layered look people keep recreating across social media and modern streetwear styling.

The composition blends 98 percent cotton with 2 percent elastane, which gives the overshirt a soft structure while still allowing a little flexibility and comfort during everyday wear. That balance matters because shoppers want clothing that looks styled but still feels comfortable enough for daily life. The added pockets also give the piece greater functionality while contributing to the laid-back, utility-inspired aesthetic currently dominating men's fashion trends.

Another reason overshirts continue to perform well is their versatility. They can be worn open over a plain tee layered with a hoodie during colder months, or styled buttoned up for a cleaner, minimal look. That adaptability is exactly what shoppers are prioritizing right now, especially when investing in wardrobe basics that need to work across multiple seasons.

At under $40, this corduroy overshirt fits directly into the growing demand for affordable elevated menswear. It delivers texture, comfort and effortless styling in a way that feels modern without trying too hard, which is exactly why relaxed layering pieces continue dominating fashion trends right now.

This Cult-Favorite Skincare Line Just Put Its Famous Logo on Something Truly Gross

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 12:52pm

Glossier built an empire consisting of millennial pink, dewy skin and their signature bold typography. But the brand's latest move has nothing to do with hiding under-eye circles.

They are selling dog poop bags.

The announcement dropped on Instagram with a video showing off the new goods. The caption read, “This week on Glossier’s Next Top Dog... who serves face and who couldn’t fetch the look? Available online + in-store at Glossier on 5/28.”

The comment section became a lovefest of fans who couldn’t wait to score the new merch. One user wrote, “lmao.” Another added, “Never wanted poo bags more.” The sentiment kept rolling with a capitalized “THIS IS SO CUTE.” For the generation that grew up hoarding the brand's stickers, the pull of nostalgia was real. As one commenter put it, “as someone who has been collecting Glossier since I was 16, this collection is very important to me.”

But step outside Instagram, and the vibe changes.

View this post on Instagram

Reddit users didn't buy the hype. They view the shift from retinol to pet waste as a sign that the brand is declining. One Reddit user laid it out: “Ok so I'm a dog lover and owner but this is just strange IMO. Have they lost the plot? This is seriously what they're giving us? Pet waste bag.”

The common complaint among fans is that the company recently reformulated beloved staples and axed fan-favorite shades. Now, instead of fixing those formulas, the brand is printing its logo on plastic rectangles meant for the trash bin.

Another user vented online, pointing out the frustration of “discontinuing so many products to make way for doggie waste bags.”

A third critic didn't hold back at all. “So desperate but instead of focusing on fixing the issues customers have with their actual products, instead they give us.... a new hoodie, dog leashes and literal trash bags! 🙄 rip glossier the make-up and skincare company.”

It isn't the brand’s first time playing in the pet space. They did a toy partnership back in 2019. Some fans remember that era and feel the anger is overblown. The collection also includes a collar and a leash, which seem to hold the middle ground for fence-sitters.

“The waste bags are hilarious, but they had a collab with Barkbox for some dog toys in 2019. I think the collar and leash are really fun,” one fan noted. Others agreed on the hardware but drew a hard line at the plastic bags. “Agreed, the waste bags are stupid. But I think the leash and collar are cute, as long as they’re reasonably priced.” Another chimed in to support the look: “Yeah the leash and collar are very cute. Not so much the waste bags.”

Glossier wants to own every part of both you and your pet’s morning routine. Whether this drop is a hit or a misfire depends entirely on how much the Venn diagram of your love for your French bulldog and your love for Glossier overlap. Get your wallets and your scoopers ready: the full line drops on May 28.

‘King of Queens’ Star Shares Unexpected Post Featuring Ex-Husband

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 12:25pm

Leah Remini is drawing attention for a heartfelt message about family—and a new photo that includes her ex-husband, Angelo Pagan.

"In a world where so much feels curated and performative, I have come to appreciate the rare beauty of families that change shape, but never lose the love that is real," Remini, 55, captioned an Instagram post.

"Some may not understand it. But I am incredibly proud of the family we built - and even more proud of the family we chose to remain. Happy Birthday @therealangelopagan @williamkilmartin @breezygirl," she added.

View this post on Instagram

The post, which also served as a birthday tribute, comes nearly two years after Remini announced she and Pagan were separating after more than two decades of marriage. This is the first time that Remini has shared a photo of Pagan on her Instagram feed since their split.

When Remini and Pagan announced their separation in 2024, the two emphasized that there was no bad blood between them. In a joint statement shared on social media at the time, they explained that they remained committed to staying close as a family moving forward.

Fans were quick to respond in the comments section, sharing supportive messages about the family dynamic.

"That's the way things should be. Very inspirational," one fan wrote.

"Good for you!!! Happy birthday!!" someone else said.

"What a wonderful picture," a third comment read.

Remini and Pagan smiled as they posed together in the photo, with the King of Queens star resting her arm on his shoulder. The two continue to co-parent their daughter, Sofia, following their split. Remini has also updated her Instagram bio to describe herself as a “Mom” and an “Amazing Ex-Wife to Angelo.”

Rosie O'Donnell Reveals She Had a Face Lift and Fans Are Doing a Double Take

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 12:19pm

Rosie O'Donnell just revealed that she underwent a facelift.

The legendary comedian and former talk show host, 64, took to her Substack page to share a deeply personal essay about how she previously vowed never to have plastic surgery. However, she had a change of heart earlier this year when she decided to have a lower deep plane facelift.

"I used to feel very strongly about facelifts," O'Donnell wrote on Substack. "Not casually — morally. I had assigned myself as head of all women who would never - ever. I thought it was a betrayal. Of feminism. Of aging. Of our team of women worldwide.  And then I lost 50 pounds."

Feeling like gravity was getting the best of her after her dramatic weight loss, O'Donnell would look in the mirror and say, "This isn’t aging, this is melting with intention." Her 13-year-old child, Clay, didn't like the idea of plastic surgery, telling O'Donnell she "earned her wrinkles." While she put off the procedure for months, she finally went under the knife in January.

O'Donnell shared a photo of her results on Instagram.

Dealing With the Results of Her Plastic Surgery

While O'Donnell liked the results of her facelift, she shared that she dealt with significant shame over going through with the process. After all, it "cost more money than I have ever paid for a car."

"I went through a full existential feminist crisis, had my face and neck surgically altered, and the result is… zippo," she wrote. "Which honestly is the best possible outcome. I didn’t disappear, I didn’t become someone else— I just stopped arguing with the mirror. And maybe that’s enough. Or at the very least…it’s what a lower deep plane face lift looks like when it minds its own business."

While O'Donnell feels the process is "gross excess," she admitted she's not at war with what she sees in the mirror anymore.

"As I get ready for the last day of school with my youngest — the caboose here at 64 years old with a new lower face and neck, just happy to be alive, able to feel and choose and use my voice whenever I feel called to," she said. "For the girl I was, the woman I am, and all those joining my ranks. As we carry on in act 3, this is me."

O'Donnell's Weight Loss Transformation

In the last couple of years, O'Donnell has been open about her 50-pound weight loss as a result of using Mounjaro. She went into more detail in a March 2025 TikTok video, sharing why she had started taking the medication. She also noted that, in addition to starting the medication to deal with her health issues, she had been spending more time cooking for her child, Clay.

“I’ve lost more weight. I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight,” she explained. “But it’s also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don’t have a chef now. It’s me cooking for Clay and me.”

Sarah Dessen Is Back After 7 Years — and Her New YA Novel Just Hit No. 1

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 12:12pm

Seven years is a long time to wait for a summer read. But Sarah Dessen's readers have been patient, and the numbers suggest it was worth it.

Change of Plans, Dessen's fifteenth novel, hit shelves May 5 and immediately landed at number one on the New York Times YA bestseller list. It's also the latest selection for Good Morning America's Young Adult Book Club. For a writer whose books (Just Listen, The Truth About Forever, Along for the Ride) defined what YA contemporary fiction sounded like for an entire generation of readers, a return after seven years carries real weight.

The new book follows Finley, a teenager who has built her life around her magnetic boyfriend Colin and their carefully mapped-out future. When he breaks up with her on the first day of his cruise, via video call, everything she thought she knew falls apart. What follows is the kind of summer that tends to change people. An unexpected trip with her estranged mother to a family home about to be sold, a diner full of strangers who become something like family, and a boy named Ben who notices things about Finley that she hadn't noticed about herself.

Related: Over 130 Authors Walk Away From Major Publisher in Stunning Industry Revolt

Dessen has described the book as a full-circle moment. Her daughter Sasha, who was in fifth grade when the last novel came out, is now on the verge of graduating high school, the same life milestone Finley is navigating. The fictional setting is North Lake, the same town from 2019's The Rest of the Story, a place loosely drawn from White Lake, North Carolina, where Dessen spent summers growing up.

During the gap between books Dessen went through a period of intense creative doubt and multiple false starts. She has talked about the years of trying to figure out what story she actually wanted to tell next, and the specific challenge of writing toward an audience whose lives keep changing while your book sits unfinished.

Kirkus Reviews gave Change of Plans a starred review, calling it a warm, nuanced coming-of-age story. Reviews from readers are more mixed, with some longtime fans finding the book familiar territory and others calling it exactly what they needed. But Dessen has never pretended to reinvent the wheel, and the readers who love her have never asked her to.

For any parent who handed their teenager a Dessen novel back in the 2000s (or who was that teenager) this one may hit close to home. It's a book about a girl figuring out who she is without someone else's plans to lean on.

Chobani Revives Delicious Top Requested Coffee Creamer Flavor for a Limited Time

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 12:10pm

Chobani is finally bringing back a fan-favorite coffee creamer flavor that fans have been begging for, and it's bound to fly off shelves once again this time around. The brand's limited-edition Cookie Butter creamer is being revived after its initial debut over the 2025 holiday season.

"Chobani is opening the vault again, to bring back the flavors consumers request the most, including Cookie Butter, inspired by warm, spiced speculoos cookies that pair perfectly with coffee," the brand announced in a press release shared directly with Parade. "Whether you’re adding it to an iced latte, hot coffee, or whipping it up as a cold foam topper, the Cookie Butter Creamer is a favorite for anyone looking to spice up their morning coffee ritual."

Chobani's Cookie Butter creamer will be available starting in June at retailers nationwide including Walmart, Albertsons, Kroger, Target and Publix.

Chobani Brings Back Limited-Edition Cookie Butter Coffee Creamer

For those unfamiliar, speculoos—those crisp European biscuits with a warm spice blend (think cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, sometimes ginger) and caramelized brown sugar notes—coffee creamer sounds delightfully promising.

In spread form (popularized by Lotus Biscoff), it tastes like buttery shortbread meets gentle baking spices, with a toasty, almost molasses finish. In coffee, it translates to a rounded sweetness that’s less sharp than peppermint or pumpkin spice, and more like a butter cookie dunked in latte foam—and shoppers can't get enough of it.

Before the announcement that it was making its way back to the refrigerator aisle of your favorite grocer, fans couldn't help but campaign for the flavor to make a grand comeback after it was gone for just a few months. People hopped into the comments section of the brand's Instagram posts writing things like, "Please bring back COOKIE BUTTER @chobani 😭."

Chobani’s “Simple Ingredients” Approach, Debut of New Flavors

Chobani’s dairy creamers are known for a short ingredient list: real cream, real milk, cane sugar, and natural flavors—with no added oils, emulsifiers, or carrageenan. That’s been the brand’s calling card since it entered the category. The Cookie Butter flavor joins the grocery brand’s current available lineup of coffee creamers: Sweet Cream, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, and Cinnamon Coffee Cake—for a limited-time, of course.

Recent additions White Chocolate Raspberry, Raspberry Rose, and American Blueberry also made waves. Late last year, Chocolate Covered Strawberry and Toasted Coconut Vanilla were released in December and said to be “coffee’s perfect match,” along with the welcoming back of the fan-favorite Confetti Birthday Cake.

Blockbuster Album Celebrates Massive 555-Week Chart Run

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 12:06pm

A blockbuster album, which made its chart debut 10 years ago, is celebrating a massive 555-week chart run.

The cast LP for Hamilton: An American Musical charted at the top spot on the Billboard Cast Album Chart for the week of May 23, 2026. The milestone is the latest sign of the album’s remarkable staying power, as it continues to rack up a remarkable chart history years after its release.

Additionally, in second place is Hamilton: 10 Shots (Highlights From The Original Broadway Cast Recording). That LP has been on the charts for 28 weeks.

The top five is rounded out with cast albums for Hadestown, Heathers: The Musical, and Dear Evan Hansen. This group of LP's shows the enduring popularity of modern musical theater soundtracks.

Billboard reported in 2025 that the Hamilton cast album "debuted at No. 12 on the chart dated Oct. 17, 2015, which was the highest debut for a cast album in more than 50 years.  It peaked at No. 2 in July 2020, which was the highest ranking for a cast album since Hair topped the chart for 13 weeks in 1969."

Additionally, in 2025, the Broadway cast soundtrack was inducted into the National Recording Registry. Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden named the original Hamilton cast recording as one of 25 recordings worthy of preservation for all time based on their cultural, historical, or aesthetic importance in the nation’s recorded sound heritage.

“These are the sounds of America, our wide-ranging history and culture. The National Recording Registry is our evolving nation’s playlist,” Hayden said. “The Library of Congress is proud and honored to select these audio treasures worthy of preservation, including iconic music across a variety of genres, field recordings, sports history, and even the sounds of our daily lives with technology.”

These 4 Birth Dates Are Too Blessed to Be Stressed

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 11:48am

When someone says they are "too blessed to be stressed," it doesn't mean they are exempt from life's challenges. They still go through ups and downs. The key difference is that they cultivate an unshakeable inner peace despite their external circumstances, finding stability within themselves. While pressure may knock on their door, they know how to navigate through it rather than absorb it or let it weigh them down.

According to numerologists, four specific birth dates carry cosmic energy that transforms anxiety into action, turning darkness into light. If you were born on one of these dates, you don’t allow stress to dictate your mindset; instead, you take charge of shaping your own destiny.

Which Birth Dates Are Too Blessed to Be Stressed?

Check for your birth date. Disregard birth months.

Born on the 2nd — Rides the Wave Instead of Fighting the Current

People born on the 2nd are ruled by the Moon, which enhances their emotional intelligence. Like the Moon, they experience fluctuations in sensitivity and evolve in an intuitive flow. Although they may sometimes be overwhelmed by intense emotions, akin to powerful emotional tsunamis, they are adept at processing and releasing these feelings just as swiftly as they arise. With a strong connection to their inner knowing, they understand how to truly feel their emotions and navigate through them, emerging on the other side with increased clarity, renewal, and confidence. Life may bring them to their knees, but they always find the strength to rise again, remaining committed to showing up with an open heart.

NEXT: These 4 Birth Months Carry a Divine Life Purpose

Born on the 12th — Blessed, Optimistic, and Unbothered

Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck, optimism, and faith, those born on the 12th are blessed with unwavering positivity. Even when they face challenges, they know how to get back up again. They firmly believe that things will work out in their favor, grounded in a genuine commitment to their greater purpose. As a result, these positive beliefs often materialize into reality. During turbulent times, this eternal optimist always seeks the silver lining. By turning setbacks into valuable life lessons, they continue to rise higher and higher.

RELATE?: The 4 Birth Months With Strong Souls

Born on the 18th — Turns Drama Into Drive

Individuals born on the 18th, influenced by the warrior planet Mars, possess a strong drive to turn their desires into reality. When faced with stress, they don’t simply sit and dwell on their problems. Instead, they instinctively leap into passionate action. This could involve engaging in physical exercise, solving issues using their analytical skills, or reconnecting with their higher strategic goals on a spiritual level. All in all, birth date 18 finds ways to transform conflicts that burden others into motivation for their progress. Why remain stressed when you can take proactive steps to ensure you continue to be blessed?

Born on the 24th — Stress Into Fuel

Those born on the 24th are guided by Venus, the planet of love and harmony. They strive to instill peace and carry it within themselves. While they can get irritated or stressed like anyone else, they seek ways to comfort and soothe themselves, reconnecting with their values to find greater balance and perspective. Their self-care enables them to nurture others, and they understand that without it, they cannot provide the connection they crave. Although they may struggle to say no to their loved ones, they believe in focusing on what is within their control rather than what is not. They are too blessed to stress, often revisiting their mental notes of gratitude and not taking life's little moments for granted.

Homeowners associations (AKA: HOAs) get a bad wrap. Between their high monthly fees and what many residents see as gross overreach, most people have a distaste for homes located within these types of organizations.

However, hundreds of people in Maryland may have a whole new reason to hate their local HOA, after a woman named Sarah Chester was convicted of stealing more than half a million dollars from the HOAs she worked for, using the money to fund a lavish lifestyle that included European vacations. Now, she's looking at 20 years behind bars and some pretty hefty fees as a result. Keep reading to learn more.

A Maryland Woman Has Been Convicted of a HOA Ponzi Scheme

According to Realtor.com, Chester was arrested after the president of one of the HOA boards her company was hired by began looking into inconsistencies in the books. "It’s been stressful and time-consuming, among many things, from being a victim of her financial crimes," the board member said after the woman's conviction. "She caused so much damage."

That damage is more than just the nearly $600,000 prosecutors say she stole and used to purchase things like European vacations, memberships to posh country clubs, and other personal expenses. According to the publication, it also took the hard-earned money out of the pockets of an estimated 1,500 people, which amounts to over 250 homes. Fifty of those people even came out to attend her sentencing hearing, where Chester learned she would be facing a 20-year sentence (with all but five years suspended) and restitution to all those she defrauded.

How Was She Able to Steal from the HOAs

Chester was convicted of running this scam from 2021 to 2025, when a group of HOAs hired Magnolia Properties to manage their associations. Chester, who worked for the company, then used her position to steal money from the HOAs, transferring it to her personal account, where she spent it on trips and personal items.

To cover her tracks, it sounds like she created fake bank statements to hide the fact that she was transferring money between the HOA accounts to keep anyone from catching on. She was able to get away with this for so long because she was responsible for reconciling the bank accounts, approving invoices, and cutting checks, something one expert who spoke to the publication said should actually be handled by three separate people.

"To be placed in a position of trust by your community only to violate that trust in such an egregious way is despicable and behavior that will not be tolerated in Harford County," the State's Attorney said in a statement to Realtor.com.

How to Avoid Fraud in Your HOA

While there is a whole contingent of people who hate HOAs for all kinds of reasons, there are those who love living in this sort of community. First, it helps ensure that rules are followed, including those that require people to keep community spaces clean and tidy.

These types of associations can also help build a stronger sense of community, as they hold neighborhood meetings with some regularity. If you're looking for a home and considering one in an HOA but are a little worried about becoming a victim of fraud, First Service Residential says there are a few things you can do to protect yourself, including:

  • Getting involved in the organization and making sure that they are vetting new vendors and requiring two signatures for bank transfers
  • Request an annual audit
  • Make sure they carry fidelity insurance
  • Learn about the red flags to look out for

While Chester's story is likely an extreme one, fraud unfortunately does happen, so it's important to recognize the signs and ensure your community is protected.

Charles and Diana spent part of their honeymoon on a 12-day Mediterranean cruise on the Royal Yacht Britannia. Afterward, the couple traveled to Balmoral Castle in Scotland where the princess said she enjoyed being outdoors.

As for her opinions on marriage, Diana wrote, "It's wonderful being married. I think it's safe to say that after two months...!" She added that marrying into the royal family at such a young age was "a case of playing with grown-ups!"

The items will be sold at Gorringe's Fine Art & Interiors auction house in Lewes, East Sussex.

According to Fine Books Magazine, the personal note was sent by registered post. The original envelope is also a part of the package, which has two Perth postmarks dated September 29, 1981, and the Royal Cypher stamp.

’90s Rock Classic, Written in 45 Minutes, Is Suddenly Climbing the Charts 29 Years Later

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 11:24am

Nearly three decades after its release, Foo Fighters' “Everlong” is charting once again the Billboard Rock Charts.

The song, originally released on August 18, 1997, is currently holding the No. 1 position on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, a list that ranks the ongoing success of all songs within the genre across various streaming platforms. Out of the entire hard rock genre, it seems that the Foo Fighters classic is still dominating listeners' palates, proving the song's ability to withstand the test of time and reach entirely new generations of listeners.

The track's current multi-week reign on the chart adds to its over 171 weeks of total charting time across various Billboard lists. On the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart alone, "Everlong" has held the top spot for 80 non-consecutive weeks, marking it the most successful song in the category's history with the most total weeks spent at No. 1.

It's All in the Streams

In the digital era, streaming trumps physical media. Within the last decade, music-listening platforms have boomed, and streaming metrics have become the new way of measuring a song's success in the music industry. Not only does it provide information about whether a song is popular, but it is also able to uplift pre-2000s classics and introduce them to new audiences, further expanding their popularity and continuing to build their legacy.

On Spotify alone, one of the most popular streaming platforms today with over 751 million monthly active users worldwide, "Everlong" has accumulated over 1.72 billion streams. This is a massive feat, showcasing the track's lasting cultural impact 29 years after its initial debut.

The Construction of "Everlong"

"Everlong" was written by frontman David Grohl during a recording session for the band's second album, The Colour and the Shape, at Bear Creek Studios. The session took place in the winter of 1996 and Grohl was going through a tumultuous divorce. While messing around with drop-D tuning in the studio, he stumbled upon the iconic guitar riff that is featured at the beginning of the song.

"At the time I was breaking up with a girl I had been with for a while, so I was sort of in the middle of this intense emotional period," Grohl said in 2021 during a segment with Fox Sports Radio. "For whatever reason, the emotion or the feeling I got when I would play this succession of chords sort of touched on whatever that emotion was. So we continued recording. In the meantime, my relationship ended and I was in a very difficult place."

After a trip home during the holidays, Grohl recounted that the song evolved into something new. Fearing he would forget it, he rushed into the studio and started recording. In total, he nailed down the core foundation of the track in only 45 minutes.

“Without having it fully formed, I just kind of went in. I put down a drum track. I put down guitar and bass. And I sang it into a microphone for the first time," Grohl explained. "And it did seem to make sense. The lyric and the melody, at the time where I was emotionally, it all made sense. And I think that’s what songs should be. They should be something that not only the tone or the melody or dynamic of the instrumental, but also the lyric, match in a way that represents how you feel at that moment.”

Today, as evidenced by its continued chart and streaming success, "Everlong" remains a foundational pillar in hard rock. The track's undeniable influence and emotional resonance have defined its legacy as one of the greatest and most lasting works in its genre.

1967 Folk-Pop Ballad, Written by a Teenager, Became a Melancholy Anthem Decades Later

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 11:24am

It's not uncommon for a song to have been recorded by multiple artists, with some gaining more popularity than others. In 1967, singer-songwriter Nico released a ballad that was originally written years prior by a 16-year-old and later regained popularity thanks to a hit film.

"These Days" has quite the backstory behind its creation and its first recording. The track was written by Jackson Browne when he was only 16 years old, with the lyrics about loss and regret. According to Far Out magazine, Browne said it was "not a heavy song or particularly revelatory. It was just telling my truth, the truth of my life."

It would be years until the song saw the light of day when it was recorded by Nico for her 1967 album Chelsea Girl. By the late '60s, Browne had become a prolific songwriter with Nina Music Publishing having a long demo album of his songs to promote to other artists. According to reports, Browne's track was on a list with demos by Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, and John Cale for Nico to consider. It's also said that Browne was romantically linked to the singer at the time.

"These Days" was picked as one of the recordings, with Nico's style having changed its original soulful folk style with the addition of well-known electric guitar finger-picking. At the time, Nico was being managed by Andy Warhol, who was looking for a more modern track for the singer. To this day, Nico calls the track "unlistenable" due to its various changes and not getting what she wanted.

"I still cannot listen to it, because everything I wanted for that record, they took it away. I asked for drums, they said no. I asked for more guitars, they said no. And I asked for simplicity, and they covered it in flutes!" she said.

The track never reached the Billboard charts despite its popularity among fans. Browne later released his own recording in 1973 at the same time that rock musician Gregg Allman released his. Both tracks weren't released as singles but got considerable airplay on rock radio stations and became a staple in Allman's solo act.

Nico's recording of "These Days" would regain massive popularity decades later when it was included in the Wes Anderson film The Royal Tenenbaums. Browne recalled how he had forgotten that he had given the licensing permission to use the song, and was stunned when he heard the track in movie theaters. Nico's version gained further popularity when included in both versions of the movie soundtrack and later became a TikTok staple.

A Video of Robert Kennedy Jr. Wrangling a Pair of Snakes as Cheryl Hines Watches Is Going Viral

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 11:14am

Robert Kennedy Jr. has plenty of crazy stories with wild animals, but this time, his wife, Cheryl Hines, is watching.

In a video posted to the Health and Human Services secretary's Twitter/X account on Tuesday, Kennedy can be seen wrangling a pair of mating snakes with his bare hands at the oceanfront home of Dr. Mehmet Oz, as Curb Your Enthusiasm star Hines watches from a distance and encourages her husband to put the animals down.

Kennedy Jr., sporting his work clothes, including a dress shirt and tie, reaches down and grabs the pair of mating snakes in a corner as the crashing ocean waves can be seen at a distance.

"Cheryl cheerleads the removal of a pair of Black Racers from Dr Oz's patio," Kennedy Jr. captions the video, which shows the politico attempting to avoid being bitten by the snakes as he holds them up for his wife and friends to see. Lacking any fear, Kennedy Jr. quickly removes his hand before getting bitten by the creatures.

“Honey, honey, let them go! Oh my God. Bobby, please!” Hines can be heard saying, off-camera. "You're nuts."

"They were having sex. So what were they?" Oz says from behind the camera.

According to the Florida Museum of Natural History, North American racers are non-venomous, but they will readily bite to defend themselves.

"Racers are not aggressive and avoid direct contact with people and pets. Virtually all bites occur when the snakes are intentionally molested," it states.

Kennedy Jr. Frequently Comes in Contact with Animals

Kennedy is particularly known for his bizarre run-ins with wild animals. Earlier this month, he had another run-in with one when he shared a photo of himself clutching a bird in his hand while walking through a doorway at the airport. The bird points its beak upward as Kennedy Jr. shows it to the camera.

"Starling rescue today at Dulles Airport,” he captioned the shot.

Kathie Lee Gifford Suddenly Lists Her Estate at a Staggering Price

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 11:03am

Kathie Lee Gifford, former host of NBC’s Today show alongside Hoda Kotb, recently listed her waterfront estate in Connecticut for a staggering price.

The 13,000+ square-foot home has been listed for $100 million and sits on nearly three acres. The villa is called Cedar Cliff, which the listing says is “a Mediterranean villa of unrivaled pedigree and commanding presence.”

The home has stunning views of the Manhattan Skyline and Long Island Sound, as well as a three-level elevator, a professional recording studio, a fitness center, and a tennis court.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Gifford purchased the home with her late husband, Frank Gifford, in 1994. At the time, it was listed for only $7.8 million.

“Had I never gone into show business, I would have become an architect / interior designer,” Gifford said to the WSJ. “It has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.”

WSJ’s readers were shocked by the price, with one user on Instagram saying that based on area comps, “This should be listed for 40% less.”

“Wow it’s beautiful! I just need 99.5 million more,” another user joked.

Gifford moved to Nashville, Tenn., in 2019 following her 11-year run on the Today show. She said to the WSJ that the move “was the new beginning that I needed.”

“But I never stopped loving Cedar Cliff,” Gifford said.

Seven months after she departed from the Today show, Gifford returned to the show to open up about her new life in Nashville.

“There's a completely different culture down there, and it's a culture of kindness in Nashville, and they're authentically kind,” Gifford said. “There are some mean ones, I guess, but I don't hang out with them. They're joyful. They have so much fun, music everywhere — everything's Americana.”

Dave Ramsey Wants Single Mom of Two Saddled With $90K of Debt to Ditch Her Car

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 10:59am

As just about every parent knows, raising children can be expensive. However, as a single mother, you typically face even more financial barriers, especially when your only income stream doesn't cover emergency costs. That's what happened to one mom who called into The Ramsey Show for advice on how to get out of debt.

But instead of coming down on the mom for mismanaging her moneyDave Ramsey offered some kind and compassionate advice to the mother of two.

View this post on Instagram Dave Ramsey Tells a Single Mom to Sell Her Car

A woman got a bit of a shock when she called into Ramsey's show to ask for help with her growing debt. According to the caller, she was more than $90,000 in debt from a combination of personal, auto, and student loans, and she wasn't sure how she could ever get out from under the weight of it all.

The catalyst for the phone call wasn't the debt itself, though, but instead the bad news she got from the lender holding her car loan, after they explained that she actually owes $17,000 more on her car than it's worth. Not only that, but she confessed to Ramsey that the loan itself cost her $850 a month.

However, instead of shaming the mom—who says she took out an auto loan with a 16.5 percent interest rate when her baby was born and needed a new car—Ramsey told her that her best bet was to sell her car.

He suggested avoiding the dealership and instead selling the car to an individual, who he thought would be able to get about $25,000 from. The caller also confessed that her ex was about $25,000 in arrears on child support, which she was also expecting to see sometime soon. Ramsey said she should use that money to pay the rest of the car loan off, and use the few thousand that would remain after all was said and done to buy herself a car without a monthly payment.

"The fastest way forward is usually getting rid of the thing that’s keeping you stuck," he captioned the video.

People Were Happy With the Way Ramsey Supported the Mom

Before she signed off, Ramsey told the scared mama, "We're going to take care of you." After they ended their call, he said he would put her in touch with some credit counselors to help her get back on track.

Now, Ramsey's advice typically gets mixed reviews in the comments on his posts, but this one really seemed to resonate with folks. "It must be the first time in months somebody told her, 'Let me take care of you,'" one person wrote. "Hugs."

"So proud of her for calling," another added. "You got this, girl!"

Related: Dave Ramsey Tells Frustrated Husband How To Deal With In-Laws Who Are Demanding Repayment for His Wife’s College Semester

Ramsey's advice seems manageable for this mama, and hopefully she's able to follow it once her ex fulfills his child support obligation, allowing her to get rid of that $850 payment. From there, she should be able to start paying down some of that other debt, giving her a better handle on her finances.

Christine Taylor Shares How 'Pause' With Ben Stiller Is A 'Relatable Story'

Tue, 05/26/2026 - 10:55am

Christine Tayloris an open book when it comes to talking about her brief separation with husband Ben Stiller.

"I do feel like it is a relatable story," she said while chatting on the most recent episode of the "McBride Rewind" podcast. "I met Ben when I was 28 years old, and I really feel like, you know kids always have growth spurts and you have different chapters and stages in your life, and I feel it's that's also true for adults, and I think even particularly women, you get married then you become a mom, for those who become mothers, and then career, or putting that career on hold, like all these different chapters for me, and I think at that moment in time for us, we were just not on the same page with a lot of things."

"I think really, when we kind of just zoomed out on it, it was like, 'let's just put a pause here,'" she added.

The famed couple, who have since reconciled, were married in 2000 and split in 2017 for two years. They share two kids, Ella, 24, and Quinlin, 20.

"It was very difficult to come to that decision, it was not light, it was not without, a heavy heart," she said of their split.

The 'Very Brady Sequel' star, 54, went on to explain that the two reconnected during the COVID-19 pandemic when their family was all living under one roof.

"We all were in the house together, and we had nothing but time," she said. "So, Ben and I spent a lot of time just working on us with a therapist...and really found the way back."

"He looked at his stuff, I looked at my stuff...we came out of it and have been really stronger and better than ever," she added. "I feel really comfortable talking about it, because I think it's really important for people to feel like that's okay."

Throughout her conversation on the podcast, she shared that she first met Stiller, 60, while filming a pilot that never aired, and went on to discuss their roles together in 2000s hits 'Zoolander' and 'Dodgeball.'

In the time since they've reunited, the've regularly made appearances together including at this year's Met Gala and various Knicks games, as Stiller is an avid fan.
