Oasis fans waited 16 years for a reunion. Amelia Dimoldenberg only had to wait for Noel Gallagher to sit down at a chicken shop.

The Oasis leader and guitarist is the latest guest on Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date, and he wasted no time setting the tone. When she asked how long someone should wait before reviving something that’s ended, Gallagher had an answer ready: “16 years.”

Asked about the most rock star thing about him, Gallagher replied, “The fact that I am one,” before insisting he’s “pretty low-key.” When Dimoldenberg pointed out his big gold chain, he had a simple explanation: “But I’m a rock star.” He also shut down a rumor that he goes without underwear onstage, joking, “I wear two pairs of underpants just for extra protection.” And when she suggested he lives life on the edge, he quipped, “No, no, no. Bono does that.”

Gallagher credited his sons with keeping him humble. He recalled flying home after playing to 90,000 people in São Paulo, only to find his boys fighting over the last of the Coco Pops two days later. One minute the world was in his hands, he joked, and the next he was refereeing a cereal dispute.

He also had high praise for Paul McCartney. “He’s one of those rare people that when you meet him, you walk away from it feeling good about yourself,” Gallagher said.

Despite admitting he’s “a hoarder” of guitars because “they’re too precious,” Gallagher said he once gave one to a member of the tribute band Noasis. When he ran into the man a year and a half later, the musician told him the band had been “overtaken by the Urban Verve.”

Gallagher even explained his star sign. “It means I am of a superior being,” he said of being a Gemini. “There’s two of us. So two is better than one.”

He got reflective when talking about the reunion, saying it became clear within about a week of rehearsals that Oasis would be “as good, if not better than it ever was.” He added that “Champagne Supernova” has taken on new meaning for a younger generation, even though he still has no idea what some of its lyrics mean.

True to form, the date ended with Gallagher improvising a song about the experience: “Was on a chicken shop date. … It was great.” Always the songwriter, Noel Gallagher left with a new song idea.

Kim Kardashian reportedly became upset after Paris Hilton repeatedly canceled interviews for a biography about the reality star, according to author Jonathan Van Meter.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Van Meter discussed the challenges of securing Hilton’s participation in Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, his upcoming authorised biography of Kardashian.

“Late in the process, I told Kim I should talk to Hilton,” Van Meter told the publication. He explained that Kardashian checked with Hilton, who agreed to speak with him, but the author was directed to contact her publicist to arrange the interview.

Van Meter said he sent questions and coordinated with Hilton’s assistant, but the interview was repeatedly canceled.

“And then the interview was canceled 17 times over about four months,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

The author eventually decided that the repeated cancellations were more revealing than anything Hilton might have said during an interview.

“Kim was so mad when I told her. It seemed to stir up some ancient irritation between them,” Van Meter said, describing the situation as “the creation turning on the creator.”

Kardashian and Hilton have known each other since the early 2000s, when Kardashian worked as Hilton’s stylist and closet organizer. Kardashian later became a household name through reality television, building a business empire that includes her shapewear brand, SKIMS.

Their friendship has experienced public ups and downs over the years, making Hilton’s absence from the biography particularly notable given her role in Kardashian’s early public life.

Van Meter spent five years working on Citizen Kim, interviewing people from different stages of Kardashian’s life and examining her rise to fame. The author’s conversation with The Hollywood Reporter also addressed the reporting process and the people he was unable to interview for the book.

Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future is scheduled to be released on October 27.

Van Meter’s account offers a glimpse into the complicated history between Kardashian and Hilton, although the canceled interviews alone do not establish whether the two are currently experiencing a renewed feud.

The five-story house stood in the middle of a newly built road in Wenling, in China’s Zhejiang province, according to CBS News. The road had not yet opened to traffic. The owners still had electricity, running water and cable TV, per Al Jazeera.

The owner, Luo Baogen, a 67-year-old duck farmer, had finished building the house shortly before officials first approached him, CBS News said. It cost about 600,000 yuan, or about $95,000.

Most families in Luo’s village of 1,600 accepted compensation in 2007, CBS News reported. Luo did not. The government’s first offer was 220,000 yuan, which rose to 260,000 yuan, but he wanted a new home. “We want a new house on a two-unit lot with simple interior decoration,” he told local reporters.

Luo and his wife slept in separate parts of the house to discourage a partial demolition, CBS News said. The road was built around the home, and photos of it spread online. “What a sight. I hope they can carry on,” one blogger wrote, according to Al Jazeera.

The standoff ended on Dec. 1, 2012. Luo signed a demolition agreement the day before, and excavators tore the house down on Saturday morning, according to Amusing Planet. The house had stood alone in the road for more than a year.

Luo agreed to accept 260,000 yuan, about $41,000, NBC News reported. That was the same amount that had been offered a week earlier, and Amusing Planet said it was unclear why he accepted when he did.

Buildings like Luo’s are called nail houses, because they stick up and are hard to remove. Chinese bloggers called his the toughest of them, per Amusing Planet. Two American homeowners also turned down $1 million: Vera Coking’s Atlantic City boardinghouse sold for $583,000 at auction in 2014, and a five-story building went up around Edith Macefield’s Seattle house.

Collin Gosselin has accused his mother, Kate, of physically and emotionally abusing him in his new memoir, In the Shadow of Eight, and one of his former housekeeper/nanny is backing his claims.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Ashley H. recalled the abuse she witnessed during her time working for the Gosselin family while they starred in the TLC reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8.

“She 110 percent abused Collin,” Ashley said about Kate. “It’s hard to almost put into words the specific hate that she had towards Collin. You could just feel it. I saw her grab Collin many, many times.”

“[Kate] wouldn’t let the kids do anything,” she added. “There was never toys out. There was never things out. They couldn’t live.”

Ashley recalled the strict rules Kate made her children follow, including wearing only one or two school outfits per week to avoid too much laundry. She described the interactions between Kate and her kids as “robotic.”

“It was not loving,” Ashley said. “She very much made it known who was a favorite, who wasn’t, who’s annoying. Someone would come and pick the dog up for grooming, but she treated her kids basically worse than animals.”

Ashley also claims to have found a big, red plastic spoon that Alexis said her mother uses “when she gets mad.” After learning this, Ashley left her job after only six months.

But before she left, Ashley said she called Children and Youth Services for Berks County on Kate. She said this was because “I ended up getting sick because I started taking it home with me, because I didn’t have my own kids and I didn’t understand how somebody could be so nasty, downright evil and nasty to their own kids.”

After speaking out, Ashley, now a social worker, mental health advocate, and mother, hopes others will share their own experiences with the Gosselin family.

“I really hope it will spark people to speak up, even if it’s been 15 years later,” she said. “I am so incredibly proud of Collin and hope he feels validated.”

Selma Blair’s Dancing with the Stars partner, Sasha Farber, is keeping their friendship alive as he continues to check in on the actress following her recent arrest.

Farber, who was her professional dance partner on DWTS in 2022, has revealed they’ve stayed in touch and that she’s fine as she deals with the assault charges that arose out of an incident on a flight.

Speaking in an interview with People, the professional dancer spoke about his former dance partner at the Dancers Against Cancer 2026 Gala of the Stars and said, “I’ve been talking to Selma. She’s doing absolutely great. I’m thinking of her.”

The dancer also made it very clear that the relationship extends well beyond the ABC competition series. “We are family. She is literally my family,” he said.

During the conversation, Farber also revealed that Blair isn’t the only reality-competition contestant he stays in touch with. The choreographer noted that he has stayed in touch with a number of his former celebrity associates, including Blair and Olympic gymnast Mary Lou Retton.

For Farber, those enduring connections are one of the most significant aspects of Dancing with the Stars.

What Happened to Selma Blair?

Blair was arrested on 11th October 2026 following an alleged altercation on a Delta flight from LA to New York. Two flight attendants had reported being injured. The plane landed at JFK, and Blair was taken to hospital, where she was allegedly seen kicking a Port Authority police officer and a nurse.

The Legally Blonde actress appeared in court on October 12, 2026, and entered not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault in relation to the incidents with the officer and the nurse. She was released on bail, and her next court date is January 19, 2027. A separate federal case in relation to the flight has also been reported.

Blair’s representative has stated that she had a medical emergency and didn’t intend to do anyone any harm. They have also denied the reports that she attempted to open the plane door. The allegations are still pending in court.

At 95, William Shatner is proving that it’s never too late to try something new, and country music star Brad Paisley thinks there’s a lesson in that for everyone. The legendary Star Trek actor has released a new spoken-word album, Love & Other Mysteries, co-produced by Paisley, who recently opened up about their unlikely friendship and Shatner’s determination to keep creating. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Paisley praised the Hollywood icon’s willingness to explore new artistic territory, calling it “an amazing lesson for all of us, at 95.”

In an October 21 interview on Rolling Stone‘s Nashville Now podcast, Paisley explained that Shatner approaches his music with genuine sincerity.

“It’s not gimmicky at all. He means everything he’s saying,” Paisley said.

He also praised Shatner’s willingness to experiment, pointing out that the actor is even exploring heavy metal at 95.

For Paisley, the lesson to be learned from the Star Trek legend lies in Shatner’s adventurous spirit and willingness to try just about anything.

What Is Love & Other Mysteries?

The album is a collection of spoken-word performances exploring love, relationships, life and aging.

Rather than traditional singing, Shatner delivers personal reflections over arrangements that draw from different musical genres. Paisley co-produced the project with Luke Wooten, while Paisley, Gordon Mote and Dawes musician Taylor Goldsmith contributed musical arrangements.

Shatner reportedly envisioned the project as something of a musical memoir, reflecting on where he finds himself at 95. The album also recalls his 1968 spoken-word release, The Transformed Man, with cover art that references the earlier project.

How Brad Paisley and William Shatner Became Friends

Their friendship began more than two decades ago when a mutual friend invited Paisley to one of Shatner’s Monday Night Football parties.

Paisley was surprised by how curious Shatner was about other people and creative disciplines, particularly country music.

Dolly Parton‘s niece, Danielle Parton, is officially the new brand ambassador of her estate. The doting family member of the late legendary singer shared the news in an Instagram reel on Oct. 22 and said she is “grateful” for the new opportunity to share her aunt’s stories and support the causes that were near and dear to her heart.

“Like so many of you, losing her has changed something for me. It made me think of the stories, values, and lessons that she left behind, and the responsibility that our family has to care for them,” the 50-year-old said in the video while adding that she “will never try and speak for Dolly.”

“I’m not crazy enough to try to fill her shoes. God knows I couldn’t walk on them without killing myself,” she joked. “What I can do is share the woman that I knew. I can tell some of the stories of her, the stories behind the global icon, and support the people carrying forward the work that she cared for and created to make sure what she built continues to bring people joy.”

In addition to speaking in the video, Danielle, who works as a pilot and is the daughter of Bobby Lee Parton and Doris Maxine, shared smiling photos of her and Dolly over the years and explained that “she will always be my Aunt Granny,” a loving nickname the “9 to 5” creator was called in her family.

“She loved us deeply, believed in big dreams, and she always encouraged me to find my way in this world.”

Dolly died at the age of 80 on August 25, after a private battle with cancer. She and Danielle shared a “special family bond” and the icon even delivered a speech at Danielle’s military retirement in 2025.

Also known as Pyrrharctia isabella or a woolly bear, the woolly worm is the larval form of the Isabella tiger moth and can be found in the United States and Canada. In Banner Elk, North Carolina, the woolly worm is celebrated every year at a community festival with food vendors, live entertainment, crafts, children’s activities, and more. 

But the star of the show is the annual woolly worm race, where heats of 25 worms race up vertical strings. As slower worms are knocked out of the running, the competition intensifies until one worm reigns supreme, earning the honor of predicting the region’s winter weather, as well as a $1,000 prize for their human “coach.”

Local folklore suggests that the amount of black and brown hair on the worm’s 13 bands predicts the weather for the 13 weeks of winter. This year’s race winner, Wally, has predicted a relatively mild winter with a few surprises peppered throughout the season.

“It’s amazing the people who come to the Woolly Worm Festival each year from across the map. For example, the $1,000 check for this year’s winning worm, Wally, went to a couple from Louisiana. Wally has lots of brown fur bands on him, indicating a mostly mild winter. Because we have two ski resorts right here in the Banner Elk area, we’ll certainly be okay if it’s a snowier winter than he forecasts,” Craig Distl, representative for Banner Elk Tourism, told Parade. 

Per Wally’s bands, the first week of winter will be cold and snowy, followed by two weeks of average temperatures. Then, in the fourth week of winter, his bands predict below-average temperatures with a chance of light snow or frost, an eight-week stretch of mild temperatures, and one last chilly surprise during the last week of winter with possible light snow or frost.

This season so far, Boston Blue has had two visitors from Blue Bloods: Henry Reagan (Len Cariou) appeared to video chat with Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and his partner Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green) when it looked as if there was a Boston Strangler copycat, and Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) has been in a couple of episodes as she and Danny continue their long-distance romance. In the episode, Jamie Reagan’s visit to Boston takes an unexpected turn when he and Danny are drawn into a diamond heist linked to a violent family feud, forcing the brothers to confront lingering tensions of their own.

“Man, what a wonderful experience that was for both of us… to reconnect,” Wahlberg told  TVLine. “We played all this history, but we have history off screen, too, and we haven’t spoken in a while…. It was very healing… and wonderful… and emotional.”

Also in the episode, Mae (Gloria Reuben) faces a difficult case after swatting results in a man’s death, Lena investigates a series of suspicious deaths linked to one of Reverend Peters’ (Ernie Hudson) parishioners and Sarah (Maggie Lawson) and Seth (Mike Vogel) encounter an unexpected hurdle while planning their wedding.

The Smithsonian National Zoo’s adorable baby red panda officially has a name, and it’s one that country music fans will instantly recognize.

After more than 20,000 votes were cast in a public naming contest, the zoo announced that its red panda cub will be called Dolly, a nod to country music icon Dolly Parton and the little animal’s reddish fur.

In an Instagram post announcing the 4-month-old cub’s name, the zoo wrote: “Put your paws together for our newly named red panda cub! With flaming locks of auburn fur and a cuteness that extends beyond the hours of 9 to 5, this little firecracker officially has a name: Dolly!”

Dolly received nearly 65% of the votes, easily beating out the other two names in the running. According to The Washington Post, Pyra, a Greek word meaning “heat,” received 20% of the vote, while Dolpa, a region of Nepal where red pandas live, received 15%.

According to an earlier press release, three red panda cubs were born at the zoo’s Front Royal, Va., conservation campus earlier this summer. Two were born on May 29 to one mother, while Dolly arrived on June 11.

Dolly remains at the conservation campus, but visitors to the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C., can see another red panda, an adult female named Asa, along the zoo’s Asia Trail.

It’s possible that Jane Seymour found the perfect Halloween costumes, drawing inspiration from two iconic roles, which she brought to life nearly 20 years apart.

The actress took to social media to share ideas on how to get the look, writing, “Dr. Quinn or Solitaire? Why not both! 😉🎃”

“Halloween is almost here, and I thought it would be fun to share a little costume inspiration from two characters I’ve had the pleasure of playing over the years! To capture the psychic Bond girl look, from the 1973 film Live and Let Die, which marked her breakout acting role, a form-fitting dress (red preferably), really long hair or a wig tied into an obscure braid, and a glittery snake glued onto your forehead is required.

“I would absolutely love to dress up as Dr. Quinn for Halloween! 🎃❤️ Such a wonderful character and such an iconic look. You’ll always be the one and only Michaela Quinn! 🥰🌹” one fan expressed.

“It has kind of blown my mind,” Nicks told CBS Sunday Morning. “I’m happy about it because it seems to have made so many people happy.”

Most of the people watching that TikTok didn’t know the story behind the song. Nicks wrote “Dreams” in 1976 during the Rumours sessions at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California. The sessions were a mess — she and Lindsey Buckingham had just broken up, Christine and John McVie were divorcing, and Mick Fleetwood’s marriage was ending. Everyone was recording an album about heartbreak while they were living it, in the same building, at the same time.

So Nicks slipped down a hallway to a studio nobody in the band knew existed — a dark room said to belong to Sly Stone, with Victorian drapes, a sunken pit with a piano, and a large black velvet bed. She called it “a magic room.” She sat on the bed with her keyboard, found a drum pattern, and wrote the whole song in about 10 minutes.

Then she went back and played it for the band. Christine McVie’s first reaction: “I thought, this is really boring.” Three chords. One note repeating in the left hand. The producers looped eight bars of Fleetwood’s own drumming beneath the track to get the steady, hypnotic pulse the song needed. And the rough vocal Nicks cut alone in that room? Engineer Ken Caillat never replaced it.

In 1988, Tom Selleck was one of television’s biggest stars, having spent eight seasons playing the Hawaiian private investigator on Magnum, P.I. But as the hit CBS series came to an end, the actor was preparing for a very different kind of life, far from the cameras.

That year, Selleck purchased a sprawling 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, California, for just over $5 million. The property came with an impressive Hollywood connection of its own: It had previously belonged to legendary entertainer Dean Martin.

For Selleck and his wife, Jillie Mack, however, the attraction wasn’t simply the estate’s celebrity history. It was the opportunity to enjoy a quieter life with his family while continuing his acting career.

The ranch offered plenty of room to make that happen.

Located in the Hidden Valley area near Thousand Oaks, the property includes a Spanish-style home, rolling hills, and an extensive collection of trees. Among its most distinctive features is a working avocado grove, which has become an important part of Selleck’s life away from Hollywood.

The estate is home to more than 1,500 trees, including avocado trees that produce fruit on the property.

Selleck has spoken over the years about his affection for ranch life, particularly the physical work and sense of independence it provides.

“I work this ranch every day,” Selleck told AARP in 2015. “I do the grunt jobs because it saves me money. And it’s good for my head. This ranch is a great counterpoint to the acting business, which is an abstraction. You do something, it’s up on a piece of film, and everybody argues whether it is good or bad. “We have a little avocado harvest every year,” he told Parade in 2024.

Demand was so high that some locations ran out, leaving customers with vouchers to redeem their collectibles later.

Now, Jack in the Box is working to make sure those fans get another chance to complete their collections.

Jack in the Box also promised customers who return with their voucher and receipt two free tacos along with their cup.
