It’s easy to assume senior dogs slow down with age, but every now and then, one comes along who proves they’ve still got plenty of fight left in them.

Such is the case with Honey, a 12-year-old Australian cattle dog who, despite being partially blind from a past run-in with a porcupine, showed incredible resilience and bravery.

In a small village in northern New Mexico, Honey was doing what she always does—keeping watch over her family’s farm.

Despite being a senior and partially blind, she takes her “farm patrol” duties seriously, and her family relies on her to help protect their property and the animals on it. This includes two horses and more than 60 chickens.

But one night, something unusual caught her attention. And by morning, Honey was nowhere to be found for breakfast. At first, her family didn't think much of her missing breakfast, as she's been known to wander. But when they finally found her hours later, it was clear something had gone horribly wrong.

Based on security footage and tracks around the property, Honey had encountered a bear fresh out of hibernation, and instead of backing down, she stood her ground.

The animal had come looking for an easy meal, drawn to the chickens on the property. But Honey intervened. Exactly how it all unfolded in the dark isn’t fully known. What is clear is that Honey repeatedly put herself between the threat and her family’s animals.

"Back and forth from coop to coop, Honey warded off the bear," Española Humane wrote on Facebook.

Eventually, the bear left, and remarkably, not a single chicken or other animal was harmed or lost.

When Honey’s family found her, she had sustained severe injuries. Her face and neck showed clear signs of a violent encounter, and it was uncertain whether she would survive.

They rushed her to an urgent care clinic run by Española Humane, where veterinarians confirmed the extent of the damage. It was serious and life-threatening. 

But Honey wasn’t done fighting. Thanks to the support of Española Humane and their generous supporters, Honey was able to receive surgery and ongoing care at a low cost. 

Today, Honey is back home, surrounded by her family. And get this: her mom shared that Honey is afraid of the vacuum cleaner, which makes it even more incredible that she stood her ground against a bear. It just goes to show how deeply she loves and protects her home and the people (and animals) in it.

The Shepherd Bros are having a tough time with their new sibling, but they love him. Or, eventually, they'll realize he's not going away, and they'll tolerate him enough to keep playing with him. They already humor him sometimes!

He loves to rile up everyone he knows, just like any good Bernese Mountain Puppy might. The way he typically does it is by getting really close to his siblings and making a noise until they're annoyed enough to play.

The Shepherd Bros, two GSDs named Gronk and Bear, live in Scottsdale, AZ with their mom and now their new brother. His name is Ollie, and he's really big for his age. At just 5 months old, he could easily pass for 6-7 months!

Some wildlife videos are majestic.

Some are intense.

And then there are the ones that make you laugh because the animal in question is behaving less like a wild creature and more like somebody doing a bulk run with a very specific agenda.

This Connecticut bear video is absolutely that.

She really is out there treating the dumpster like it belongs to her now, yanking it along with the kind of determination you usually only see in people steering overloaded carts through Costco on a Saturday.

It's not just that the bear is strong. It is the body language. In some of the shots, she genuinely looks weirdly human, like if you gave her a sweatshirt and a membership card, she could absolutely pass as someone trying to beat the lunch rush.

She is focused. Committed. Fully convinced this dumpster is worth the effort.

And apparently, she is right.

One comment says, “That is one determined bear. She really wanted that whole dumpster for herself. Truly impressive strength.” Which is exactly the energy here. This is not casual sniffing. This is a full attempted acquisition. Another commenter would probably agree that the whole scene has a deeply retail quality to it. She is not browsing. I also have to admit that my dog Lola would absolutely lose her mind if she saw a bear doing this. She would be horrified, fascinated, and probably bark like she had personally been hired as neighborhood security. But if there were even a tiny chance of getting in on a dumpster dive afterward, I do think she would be tempted to help push.

This video has that perfect mix of comedy and disbelief. Bears are already powerful and kind of intimidating, but when one starts dragging a dumpster like she is reorganizing the patio to suit her needs, it becomes impossible not to watch twice.

And honestly, she earned every laugh.

As funny as this clip is, unsecured garbage is one of the biggest things that draws bears into neighborhoods. Connecticut DEEP says human-bear conflicts are largely driven by access to calorie-rich human food sources like trash. The site advises residents to keep garbage in secure containers and put it out the morning of pickup, not the night before. 

BearWise also recommends bear-resistant garbage cans and dumpsters, because once bears find easy food sources, they are more likely to return. That is why a silly video like this is also a pretty good reminder that “just one dumpster” can become a repeat stop fast.

When you go to the park with a golden retriever, you never know what to expect with these social dogs. You might end up with fans around your dog like he is a local celebrity. Or, your golden might lean into his instinct and go swimming in some muddy waters.

Or, as was the case in a recent Reddit video, they might eat something they shouldn't have.

For Olly, a golden posted on Reddit, the walk started like any normal walk. But then, he likely sniffed around and became quite interested in a patch of grass that looked like nothing to the human eye.

Yet, minutes later, the walk was over, and Olly had to go to the vet for an emergency checkup. As the original poster said in their Reddit post, Olly is now fine. But the experience? Probably confusing for the dog—and expensive for the pet parent. After all, it is not everyday that your dog finds weed in the park.

Stories like these are often funny in the beginning. That is why several commenters joked about what happens when you get high, writing, “Wish I could see what he is seeing,” “He just discovered color vision exists” and “Guy is figuring out the meaning of the universe right now.”

But we also have to remember that dogs’ well-being comes first. Luckily, Olly’s parent cleared everything up, saying he is fine. They said, “I tried to hug him and he looked at me like I was going to axe murder him. I Don't think he's ready for hugs yet.”

The good news is he went to sleep as soon as he got home, woke up for some food and then slept some more.

Cannabis toxicity is very real, and it can be dangerous for dogs to ingest.

Marijuana is toxic to dogs. They are far more sensitive to THC than we are. Even small ingested doses may cause poisoning, resulting in severe incoordination and extreme lethargy. For Olly, that lethargy is quite evident in his ride back home from the vet’s office.

Call your vet immediately if you see or suspect your dog has ingested marijuana. Even with mild symptoms, it is much better to get guidance early on.

Under no circumstances should you try to induce vomiting at home. That can make things worse. Sometimes, what starts as a strange and almost funny moment can quickly end with a potential problem. Call your vet ASAP for guidance.

It’s no secret that cats and dogs can form unusually strong bonds, even when you’d think they would be complete and utter enemies. And while nature unfolds differently for each breed and individual animal, it’s incredibly heartwarming when opposites attract and a strong friendship develops between two genetically different pets. 

Such is the case in an adorable video shared to Reddit by u/Soloflow786 that shows a large German shepherd snuggling with a gentle Russian Blue cat during a car ride. What initially elicits a knee-jerk reaction because of the pair’s extremely unusual snuggle position quickly turns into a heartwarming example of just how close dogs and cats can be.

The short five-second video is all the time you need to have your heart melt and your emotions in knots at the sight of this adorable furry pair. In what looks like the aftermath of a fun-filled day at the park or a visit with family, a German shepherd and a Russian Blue cat are knocked out comfortably in the backseat of a car.

And you might be thinking, “I see no issues here.” But once you notice the cat’s entire head resting gently in the German shepherd’s mouth, suddenly you’re left wondering: “Is that normal?”

Reddit users had plenty to say, of course. “I've never seen a cat calmly sleep in a car, much less sleep in a car with its head in a dog's mouth,” u/Soloflow786 captioned the post.

“For some dogs, it’s like holding hands,” one viewer chimed in. “My dog used to do this to the cat and the same, but on the arm for his human family. Very gentle, didn’t hurt.”

Others commented on the unlikely duo and their unusual sleeping position: “Once bonded, it’s amazing how they interact,” one person said. “For dogs, sleeping with something in their mouth can be pretty normal,” another added.

“The simple trick to a good night’s rest sleep doctors don’t want you to know,” joked someone else.

And another person perfectly summed up exactly what we were all thinking: “Would be a very bad time for that dog to start dreaming that it’s crunching on a delicious bone.”

Although cats and dogs come from very different evolutionary timelines with inherently different instincts, they actually share several traits that make friendships possible. Both are highly opportunistic, curious and capable of learning from their environment, which allows them to adapt to living and interacting with other animals over time. Most importantly, cats and dogs are social animals that crave attention, affection and bonding with familiar people and pets. 

Cats and dogs also communicate extensively through body language, which helps them understand each other. And when they are raised together or become familiar with one another, their shared ability to seek connection and interpret signals bridges the gap between unlikely friends. This adaptability is one of the main reasons so many cats and dogs in the same household learn to sleep, play and form strong bonds instead of remaining indifferent or hostile.

In the case of the adorable sleeping arrangement between the Russian Blue and its German shepherd pal, it’s clear the two friends are no strangers to each other’s presence. While you don’t often see a cat sleeping with its head in a dog’s mouth, this moment perfectly captures how trusting, comfortable and content both animals are with each other. Here's how it would theoretically work: households could claim credits for up to two pets. For everyday expenses like food, grooming supplies, leashes, collars, and toys, you'd get up to $150 per pet. In the grand scheme of pet parenthood, that’s not much but something is better than nothing. For medical and vet costs—check-ups, medications, emergency care, necessary tests—the credit goes up to $300 per pet.

Combined, that's potentially $450 per pet, with a total cap of $900 for two animals per year.

The comments section had opinions.

"Finally! He ain't cheap 😂😂😂," someone wrote about their pet's expenses.

"Now people gonna get dogs just for a tax break 😭," predicting unintended consequences.

Personally, this would be amazing because some pets have a lot of health conditions and it's hard to financially support them when you also have children. Even if you don't, the cost of vet visits, food, toys, etc., it racks up quickly, especially when you have more than one. Hopefully, if this legislation passes more states will follow suit.

The proposal specifically covers dogs and cats kept as companions—so working animals probably wouldn't qualify. And if it passes, pet parents would need to keep receipts and documentation showing what they spent throughout the year.

Nothing's finalized yet. The legislation's still in process. But for the millions of people in New York who consider their pets family, this could make a real difference.

One estimate mentioned in the coverage: one pet can cost up to $4,300 a year. That's a lot when you consider that’s in addition to other everyday life expenses. And as the news anchor said: "They're worth it. We love our pets."

Dad's trying to reach for his cuddle bug partner for some snuggles. Instead, he's pulling back more than a handful of Dougie instead. And he's making it very clear this is how it's gonna be.

Dougie has positioned himself perfectly strategic. Mom's on one side. Dad's on the other. Dougie's right in the middle like a tiny, long bodyguard making sure nobody gets too close to his humans.

Here's why Dougie's middle-of-the-bed sleeping position makes total sense: Dachshunds are incredibly loyal dogs who form strong attachments to their humans. They were originally bred as hunting dogs, but in a home setting, that loyalty translates to wanting to be close to their humans constantly.

Dachshunds are also known for being a little on the stubborn side and having huge personalities despite their small stature. When a Dachshund decides something—like sleeping in the middle—they commit to that decision fully. This is your life now.

The protective streak? Also, classic Dachshund. They may be small, but they take their role as protector seriously. Dougie positioning himself between mom and dad isn't random. He's making sure he doesn’t miss anything, including nighttime cuddles.

The middle of the bed belongs to the Dachshund now.

German shepherds are wired to react first and process later. They are herding and protection dogs, bred to notice movement, sound and disruption before anything else.

So when two German shepherds in a recent video saw their backyard “come alive” in the form of a lawn mower starting up, the entire backyard changed, and they suddenly flipped into full alert mode. Barking. Circling. Charging forward, then retreating. Whatever was happening on the lawn, they had decided it was a problem that needed immediate action.

In a viral video shared on YouTube, we see two German shepherds going against a lawn mower in their backyard. One of them is trying to bite the wheels, while the other is trying to get him away from the lawn mower.

As the first one is trying to grab the thing that makes the noise, the second shepherd is barking, spinning in circles and even barking at his sibling. The original poster (OP) jokingly says, “The lawn guy wasn’t happy about my dogs interfering with his job.”

If your dog has ever barked at a vacuum, chased a scooter or panicked at a plastic bag in the wind, you’ve seen this exact instinct in action.

Your dog locks in. Ears forward. Body stiff. Then the explosion of barking starts, and suddenly you’re negotiating with an animal that has fully committed to a mission you don’t understand.

You can say it is stubbornness, but it is their nervous system that is doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Dogs are highly sensitive to motion patterns. Smooth, predictable movement is easier for them to accept. Erratic, loud or vibrating motion—like that of a lawn mower—is not. Every object that moves on its own, makes continuous noise or changes directions suddenly can trigger a defensive response in dogs.

Trying to eliminate an instinct is an uphill losing battle. Pet parents are better off giving their dogs a different script instead.

Start with distance. If your dog reacts strongly, keep them far enough away that they can notice the trigger without exploding into barking. This is the “thinking zone,” where learning actually happens.

Then, pair the experience with something positive. Treats work well, but timing also matters. Reward calm observation, not the barking.

Some owners also find success with structured commands like “place” or “sit” during a trigger. It gives the dog a job, which is often what they’re looking for in the first place.

And yes, this absolutely applies to lawn equipment. The noise, vibration and movement hit every trigger at once.

Your dog isn’t trying to make your life harder. They’re trying to solve a problem the only way they know how. Once you understand that, everything changes. Training becomes clearer. Frustration drops. And those chaotic backyard moments start to feel a lot more manageable.

And with working dogs like German shepherds, the best solution is to give them a job. Create a specific task for your dog to do while the lawn is under maintenance. To them, the lawn didn’t “come alive” for no reason. It became something that needed to be controlled, stopped or pushed back.

And until you give them a better job to do, they’ll keep showing up to that fight every single time. The real shift happens when you stop seeing it as “bad behavior” and start seeing it as communication and something your dog is trying to tell you.

In the TikTok from @milka_collie5, the precious puppy stared at her tail in a mix of amazement and confusion as it seemed to move around on its own. The bewildered fur baby watched in awe as this foreign object swayed and flitted about, while slowly realizing it was connected to her body.

The Border Collie pup wasn't scared or intimidated. She appeared mostly curious about what this body part could do and why it was positioned behind her. The expression on her face seemed to say, "I don't get it". Her tail wags revealed she was obviously happy with her discovery.

Followers fell in love with the inquisitive pooch and noted her heartwarming reaction.

"This is the first time I've seen a dog with self-awareness," someone remarked.

"Imagine just being reincarnated and being like 'omg wait... AM I A PUPPY ??'" one commented.

"I think seeing her own tail wag made her tail wag even more," another pointed out.

These highly energetic dogs are known for their strong work ethic, especially in herding livestock. Border Collies are extremely smart and have even been named the most intelligent dog breed by the Guinness World Records. The title was based on the measurements created by dog psychologist Stanley Coren, and determined by 200 professional dog obedience judges.

One of the best parts of springtime is all of the different flowers. I love seeing them all, and I love saying I'm going to plant some and then never doing it. I just don't have the patience for flowers, though luckily, some of them grow in my yard anyway!

When it comes to flowers, though, you need to be really careful if you have pets. They're gorgeous, but they can be dangerous, too. For example, daffodils are absolutely everywhere, but they're incredibly toxic to dogs.

You don't have to avoid walking around areas with daffodils, but you should be on high alert to make sure they don't ingest them or anything around them. Daffodils are typically bright yellow flowers with a long, tube-like structure in the center:

The most toxic part of a daffodil is the bulb/the bloom, as that's where the highest concentration of lycorine is. Lycorine is an alkaloid compound that induces vomiting, and the same chemical is found in hyacinths, which are also toxic to dogs.

The more lycorine a dog ingests, the sicker they'll become. Lycorine induces vomiting in dogs, so digestive upset is typically the first sign. Excessive drooling will typically start soon after ingestion, often followed by:

• Vomiting.
• Diarrhea.
• Bloating.
• Lethargy.

In severe cases, dogs may also develop irregular heart rates and breathing issues, as well as severe abdominal pain. Symptoms typically start within a few hours of ingestion, though it may take longer in some dogs, depending on how much they ate and how much they weigh.

If your dog ingested daffodils, no matter how much, you need to get them to a vet as soon as possible. If you physically saw them eat them, that should be right away. If you didn't, it should be as soon as you start noticing symptoms. If possible, pluck one of the flowers and bring it with you so they know exactly what your dog ate.

You might feel like you should induce vomiting to get it out of their system, but you should absolutely never do that. Dog parents don't know how to do it properly, and inducing vomiting could lead to them choking or aspirating.

Once they're at the vet, they'll most likely:

• Induce vomiting.
• Give the dog activated charcoal, which prevents them from absorbing more toxins.
• Put the dog on an IV.

The IV is important, as it will help your dog rehydrate after vomiting, and it will help flush the remaining toxins out of their system. Your dog will spend a day or two at the vet, but it's worth it to make sure they come back healthy!

Every dog has their complaints. Cupcake the English Bulldog? She's got a whole list of complaints.

There's a TikTok where Cupcake's sitting still looking adorably pouty while her grievances get aired publicly. The caption reads: "Life sucks," which, honestly, sets the tone for every thought that follows.

The text overlay lays out Cupcake's entire situation: "Can't bite mom. Can't bodyslam guests. Can't kill the vacuum. Can't eat socks. Can't even eat my own sh*t. Can't do anything."

That's the entire list. Cupcake's face while this plays? Pure and absolute disappointment. She's sitting there like a tiny wrinkly judge who's been overruled on every single case.

Life sucks

The comments are full of people who love Cupcake despite—or because of—her complaints.

"OMG, that face 😭 What a queen! ❤️," because that pouty expression is totally regal.

Cupcake's just sitting there, going over everything she's not allowed to do and contemplating life. Biting your mom? Off limits. Bodyslamming guests? Apparently frowned upon. Killing the vacuum? Still forbidden despite how much Cupcake probably wants to.

And eating socks? Can't even do that. Even her own poop is off limits. She’s not allowed to do any of it.

Here's why Cupcake's list is both funny and also, completely normal dog behavior: a lot of what she's listing are natural dog instincts that are frowned upon in polite society and the household setting.

The vacuum thing? Dogs often want to attack vacuums. My dogs are equal opportunity cleaning device haters; vaccuum, broom, mop are all off limits. The sound's intense to their hearing—dogs pick up sounds at higher frequencies and volumes than humans. Add in the unpredictable movement and vibrations, and some dogs go on the offensive. Barking at or wanting to "kill" the vacuum can come from a place of fear, protective instinct, or sometimes the prey drive is triggered by how the machine moves.

Bulldogs are particularly stubborn. They've got big personalities. They know what they want. And when what they want conflicts with house rules, they notice.

But the fact that bodyslamming guests is on the "can't do" list shows that Cupcake knows the boundaries even if she's not thrilled about them—she's aware that's not allowed.

Sock eating and those other forbidden activities? Those are things dogs naturally want to do that humans have to redirect. It's all part of loving dogs.

Cupcake sitting there with that adorable, pouty face while her whole list of restrictions gets read? That's a Bulldog with opinions who's not afraid to share them.

Life sucks sometimes, Cupcake. We get it.

But that face? She’s absolutely perfect.

As someone who grew up with German Shepherds, I have a soft spot for these glorious goofballs. And while they’re undeniably adorable as tiny fluffy puppies, there’s something about that lanky in-between stage that might be even better, with big personalities, oversized paws, and ears that haven’t quite decided what they’re doing yet.

That’s also when their logic gets a little… creative. Add a strong “I fit, I sit” mindset, and suddenly, the most unexpected spots start looking like the perfect place to settle in.

For one especially adorable German Shepherd Puppy, that meant claiming a tiny flower pot as his own.

Although that flower pot doesn’t exactly look like the most comfortable spot for a puppy his size, he seems perfectly content, curled up in the planter as if it were made for him. The way he looks up at his mom almost makes it seem like he can’t understand what’s so unusual about it.

That slightly awkward puppy stage is completely normal. It's important when I say Teddy is big that you don't confuse that descriptor with a big feline. No, I mean most of this enormous boy's "bigness" comes from those gargantuan polydactyl paws.

When it comes to Maine Coons, their full-grown size can turn out to be almost anything. As one of the largest domestic breeds, males like Teddy can grow 10 to 25 pounds as adults, with females hitting the 10- to 15-pound mark.

The more interesting thing about these angels is those big, fluffy, multi-toed paws! Polydactyl kitties might have one extra toe than their usual 18. The world record holders had a whopping 28 beans, which is mind-blowing! It's unknown if there are any other Maine Coons who like stealing things from purses, but I wouldn't put it past them.

It takes these cats time to mature, making them like huge little toddlers for a long while (three to five years), but as long as Teddy shows off his big-boy paws, he can do whatever he wants (sorry, Mom!).

Lemurs might just be naturals when it comes to Easter egg hunts. In this charming video, the playful animals participated in the holiday tradition at a wildlife park in Great Britain, thanks to their creative keepers who filled and hid plastic eggs throughout the lemurs' enclosure. The nimble animals searched for eggs with childlike excitement, but also with impressive skill, focus, and absolute cuteness.

There must have been something very tasty (Lemur-approved Peeps?) in those colorful plastic eggs because the dexterous creatures were highly motivated to win the hunt. Their ability to open each egg was also extremely impressive, and the payoff was delightful.

But it's the lemur at the end of the video for me, who sits like a human having just gorged on too many Easter treats (girl, same).

I'm not sure who's sweeter, the devoted keepers providing the treats or the animals enjoying them.

Lemurs are small, wet-nosed primates, with the most common and recognizable being the ring-tailed. The most famous lemur has to be King Julien from the wildly popular Madagascar movies, voiced by Sacha Baron Cohen and animated as quite the dancer. And while I cannot vouch for their actual dancing abilities, I can report that Madagascar – the country, not the film – is the only habitat where wild lemurs are found. And there are over 100 different species ranging from tiny to kid-sized. 

Lemurs are among the oldest primates on Earth, with roots going back over 70 million years. Socially, lemur life is a matriarchy. Female lemurs run the show—taking the best food, the best spots (the best Easter eggs), and not asking nicely about it.

They’re also doing important work behind the scenes. Lemurs are major seed spreaders, meaning they help grow and maintain entire forests just by going about their day. Nature’s little gardeners.

Everyone needs a squad, even a baby and a Chihuahua (or two Chihuahuas in this case).

In a new adorable video from @shelby_salmela, the mom of two black-and-white Chihuahuas and now a newborn human daughter is seen rolling into their kitchen with the baby in the stroller and the dogs on the lower shelf of the stroller.

Accompanied by the music of Chamillionaire's hit song "Ridin,'," it is quite a scene.

The two Chihuahuas are named Katie and Grace. Not sure how old these ladies are, but we do know Grace is blind, and she is awesome.

This is clearly a stroller for a human baby, but with a perfect compartment for Chihuahuas; many dogs do like and actually need a nice stroller ride.

“Strollers can be very useful for dogs who still want to enjoy walks with their [pet parents], but are unable to walk for one reason or another," said Jonathan S. Block, DVM, founder of West Delray Veterinary in Florida.

If dogs have mobility issues or an illness, a stroller is a wonderful option for getting them outside for their daily walks without putting more strain on their health.

And yes, they definitely make some top-of-the-line strollers for pups, like this one from Tavo Pets, which can also function as a car seat for dogs, as it's compatible with their Maeve + Dupree series.

Some puppies are smaller than others. Bunker the English Cocker Spaniel? He's so tiny that his mama had to get creative about keeping him safe.

Bunker's so small that without that balloon, he's genuinely at risk of getting stepped on by passers by. He's petite, he's quiet, and he's apparently exactly the right size to be practically invisible to anyone above knee level.

Mom's genius solution? Balloon tracking device. Absolutley brilliant.

Here's why Bunker's size makes sense: Cocker Spaniels—both English and American varieties—are the tiniest members of the Sporting classification. They were bred as working hunting dogs, specifically to flush out birds like woodcock, but they're compact.

In the early days of separating spaniel varieties, breeders actually used weight as the deciding factor. Any spaniel weighing 28 pounds or under got designated as a Cocker Spaniel.

English Cocker Spaniels are technically a totally different breed from American Cocker Spaniels. English Cockers traditionally have longer snouts and a slightly different overall look compared to their American counterparts, who tend to have rounder heads.

But when they're puppies? Both English and American Spaniels start out incredibly tiny. And Bunker's at that stage where he's so tiny that normal household traffic presents genuine stepping hazards.

The balloon solution is not only adorable, it’s perfect. It's visible, it moves with him without encumbering him, and the bobbing balloon alerts everyone to his location without requiring any extra effort from Bunker himself.

At "only 3 apples tall," Bunker needs all the help he can get staying visible when underfoot. This simple fix is doing its job. People know where he is. Nobody's stepping on him and that’s the very point.

TikTok user @cheyy.bicee shared the clip showing a Tabby kitten in a yard with a chicken, and instead of keeping his distance or doing literally anything normal, he walks right up, stretches his little paws out, and wraps them around the chicken’s neck like he has been waiting all day for this moment.

Then he just… stays there. Rubbing his face against the chicken, holding on, like this is his emotional support bird.

People in the comments were completely melted by it. One person wrote, “I’ve never seen anything cuter in my life,” which honestly feels fair. Another said, “This is the cutest thing I’ve seen this year,” which is a bold claim, but I am not arguing.

Surprisingly, yes, cats and chickens can coexist peacefully, and sometimes even form bonds like this. It often depends on the individual animals, their personalities, and how they are introduced to each other.

Kittens, especially, are more likely to see other animals as companions rather than prey, particularly if they are raised around them. The Tabby in this video looks pretty young, which could explain why he is so comfortable getting this close and affectionate.

Chickens can also become used to cats over time, especially in calm, low-stress environments where neither feels threatened. As long as both animals are supervised and interactions stay gentle, friendships like this can develop naturally.

That said, every situation is different, and it's always important to keep an eye on their behavior to make sure both animals feel safe. But judging from this clip and the comments, it is definitely possible… and apparently a lot cuter than anyone expected.

Niall Harbison works miracles on the streets of Thailand through his animal rescue, Happy Doggo. Rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned and abused dogs since 2021, Harbison comes across many severely injured canines where survival seems almost impossible. Yet the resilience and bravery of these dogs often defy the odds.

Bambino is an extremely tiny dog with a huge amount of inner strength. The stray pup was seriously injured by a car, but thanks to his courage and the help of a young girl with a big heart, the precious pooch got a new leash on life.

Harbison shared Bambino's story in a recent Instagram post, along with photos of the sweet dog and the young heroic girl who cared for him in his time of need.

"He was the tiniest little dog in the Thai jungle who’d been hit by a car and was being looked after by a young girl," the caption explained. "He had multiple injuries and was lucky to be alive."

The onscreen text described how Bambino's leg was badly injured and he suffered from a hernia. The local girl who tended to him even built a makeshift "hospital" for him that included a cozy bed with blankets and toys.

Harbison knew that Bambino had so much life left to live and committed to his recovery. He even promised to find the little pup a forever home.

With lots of medical care, patience, love, and affection, Bambino not only survived but thrived. Six months after being hit by a car, he was beginning his new chapter in life.

"Today @beingbambino is trying on his little backpack for a trip to his forever home in England with his new family," the story continued. "He’s one of the gentlest and kindest boys I’ve ever met."

Bambino overcame so many challenges and now gets to enjoy the life he truly deserves.

"I always think about the life that nearly didn't survive, but now a life that will get to bask in the love of a family," the caption noted. "The laughs. The cuddles. The treats. The sheer joy that a dog can bring to a household."

Harbison concluded the post praising the sweet pup: "Well done Bambino, you made it."
