There's no denying that heartbreak and the end of a relationship have led to some of the most defining soft rock anthems of the late '60s. Crosby, Stills & Nash released "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" in 1969 during an imminent breakup between two musicians.

Written by Stephen Stills, the track was released as a single and as part of their self-titled album. "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" was ranked as one of the Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone and became one of CSN's staples, having been played at Woodstock and Live Aid Festivals.

"Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" was originally over seven minutes long and was released that way on the studio album. It was shortened to over four minutes when released as a single, due to it having been too long for the radio. According to American Songwriter, Stills was never worried about the track being too long, but ended up telling the record label to pull a Ray Charles and "put out half of it."

Stills' guitar work for the track has been deemed by musicians as being exceptional, and landed at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track became a known soft rock anthem about heartbreak, as Stills wrote the track about his former girlfriend, singer/songwriter Judy Collins. "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" is actually a play on words for "Sweet Judy Blue Eyes."

The two musicians met in 1967 and dated for two years when Stills started to develop the track. He remembers Collins having been in the studio at the time the demo tapes were being made and told her, "Don't stay in here [in the studio] all night now." The track came as a result of Stills feeling like their breakup was imminent and, according to SongFacts, started as a "narrative poem" that "poured out of me over many months and filled several notebooks."

Part of the reason Stills felt that way about his relationship with Collins was due to her appearing in the New York Shakespeare Festival musical production of Peer Gynt. She had reportedly fallen in love with her co-star, Stacy Keach, and eventually left Stills for him. His heartbreak led to the creation of "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" sometime after they had already split.

Collins has spoken about the track in previous interviews and remembers Stills having interwoven aspects of their relationship and her therapy into a "magnificent creation." She admits that the legacy of their romance lives in the song.

"Afterwards, we both cried – and then I said: "Oh, Stephen, it’s such a beautiful song. But it’s not winning me back." I’ve always understood that people have to write about their lives. Most of all, I felt the song was flattering and heartbreaking – for both of us. Neither one of us walked away from that relationship relieved. We were feeling like, 'Whoa, what happened?'" said Collins to The Guardian.

Boy George isn't afraid of A.I.

The '80s New Wave icon, best known as the trailblazing frontman of Culture Club, is embracing artificial intelligence with a new venture focused on "ethical re-recordings." Boy George is launching a new company called Artists Included to enhance original recordings, starting with a new version of Culture Club's 1983 hit "Karma Chameleon."

In an interview with CNN, Boy George, whose real name is George Alan O'Dowd, explained his interest in embracing A.I. rather than fearing it, stating, "I'm going with this."

While many recording artists fear A.I.'s ability to use their voices without permission, Boy George hopes to use the technology to benefit artists. Using original recordings combined with updated A.I.-enhanced vocals, George says the technology allows artists to take back ownership of their recordings, as many musicians do not own the masters of their original work after signing with a record label.

Paul McCartney famously saw much of the Beatles' catalog sold to pop star Michael Jackson. Taylor Swiftpublicly expressed heartbreak over her masters being sold to music manager Scooter Braun. Swift later re-recorded many of her original tracks, releasing them as "Taylor's Version," before finally purchasing the masters of her first six albums in 2025, giving her full control over those recordings.

Many artists, however, do not have the opportunity to purchase their own recordings and ultimately do not profit from their use over time. Boy George says his new venture gives artists more ownership of their music by allowing them to re-record it with the help of artificial intelligence.

The Debate Over A.I. in the Music Industry

The use of A.I. in the music industry, even in artist-supported projects like Boy George's new effort, is not without controversy.

"Lol ethical and AI cannot go together," commented one CNN viewer.

Another added, "I'm a fan but there is zero reason to do this and it's disappointing he's so tone deaf considering the ecological impact and broader societal implications of AI."

Others were fully supportive of Boy George embracing the technology, with one person writing, "I hate companies can own and receive infinite money from your passion project for decades."

What Artists Included Means for Musicians

Boy George insists the technology used by Artists Included simply enhances what legacy artists have already created, combining their original voices with the experience gained over a lifetime.

"It has the sound of me at 22 years old with all the experience of everything that I've learned," he said.

While questions still linger over who ultimately owns the new A.I.-enhanced recordings, one thing is clear: artificial intelligence is here to stay, and Boy George is determined to make the most of it.

Barry Jenkins' long-awaited Ronnie Spector biopic starring Zendaya is expected to start filming in the fall. The biopic has been in production for a number of years withThe Drama actress attached as the lead since it was announced.

Jenkins cinematographer, James Laxton, recently told The Playlist that he’s getting ready to shoot two Jenkins projects, with the first expected to go into production as early as this fall. Jenkins is famous for directing Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk, both of which saw their cast win Academy Awards for their performances.

"I’m going to be a bit cagey about them because we don’t know when they started and we don’t know which one’s going to go first. So, I’m not going to spill too many beans, but there’s supposed to be some films in the fall or next year from Barry that we will hope to see on the screen in 2027," said the cinematographer.

World of Reel theorized that one of these projects will be the long-awaited Be My Baby and the other The Intuitionist, based on the first novel by Colson Whitehead.

A few weeks ago, Zendaya teased the musical biopic to Elle Magazine, saying the project has “been a long time coming,” and would be “more experimental than a traditional biopic.”

Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April, Zendaya spoke to the singer and host about playing the late singer. “I’m very sad that she’s not going to be able to be with us while we’re making this film, but it just puts a fire under me to want to do her even more justice and make her more proud.”

Ronnie Spector passed away on January 12th, 2022, aged 78, after a short battle with cancer. Zendaya had spent time with The Ronettes' singer before her passing, with Spector having hand-selected the Euphoriastar to play her.

"She’s so important. The fact that, prior to that, I knew her music, but I didn’t know who she was, and I didn’t know her story, which I think is not fair," the Dune actress added. The fall is the first time Zendaya will not be promoting a project. The actress has had a busy year, appearing in The Drama, Euphoria, the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Dune: Part Three and The Odyssey.

The movie is set to be based on Spector’s 1990 memoir Be My Baby: How I Survived Mascara, Miniskirts, and Madness, or My Life as a Fabulous Ronette. According to Deadline, the creative team behind the film “agreed on a version of Spector’s story that could immerse audiences in what the singer’s life with the troubled producer Phil Spector felt like rather than a traditional cradle to the grave biopic.”

Be My Baby is expected to cover Ronnie's abusive marriage to convicted murderer Phil Spector as well as her career. The pair were married in 1968 and split in 1974. In her memoir, Spector detailed the torment that occurred during the marriage, alleging that she was essentially trapped as a prisoner in the house, which led to her alcohol issues.

Sheinelle Jones tried to face one of her biggest fears on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, and it was not as simple as picking up an adorable kitten.

In a new Instagram post shared by the show's official account, Jones attempted to get comfortable with cats during a "Purlates" segment.

The caption summed up the moment: "Sheinelle tries to face her fear of cats during @purlates."

The clip showed Jones working up the courage to interact with a kitten as someone encouraged her through the moment.

"No, I can't," Jones said at one point.

She was quickly reassured that she could do it and that the kitten would not hurt her.

"It looks like one," Jones responded.

The comment appeared to make Jones laugh through her nerves as she tried to stay calm.

As Jones got closer to the kitten, the group encouraged her to breathe and reminded her that the animal was calm.

Jones then appeared to talk herself through the moment, saying to the kitten, "You're just God's little creature."

By the end of the clip, she seemed to warm up at least a little, admitting, "I like cats," with Hager's persuasion.

The One Question to Ask Before Using Any Loyalty Program

Before signing up for any rewards program, Sacks recommends a simple gut check: Would I make this purchase if the reward didn't exist? If the answer is yes, the reward is working for you. If the answer is no, the program is working on you.

"If the reward is the reason you're buying something, then that is marketing doing exactly what it's designed to do," Sacks says. "The worst ones are sort of just like these dopamine dispensers that sort of make you feel like you're winning and like you're doing something that's really good financially but sort of just have you spend more."

Why Simple Beats Flashy Every Time

One of the most common loyalty program pitfalls, according to Sacks, is chasing large one-time bonuses instead of building steady, long-term value. A single welcome offer might feel significant upfront, but recurring monthly benefits tend to add up to more over time — and they require a lot less effort to maintain.

Complexity is another dealbreaker. "If it takes you a spreadsheet to understand the value, most consumers are just going to give up," she says. The programs that actually work are the ones that are easy to use and apply automatically to everyday purchases.

The Smarter Place to Look for Savings

Sacks says savings programs can do their most impactful work when layered on top of established spending habits to offset fixed costs like your phone bill. "Verizon just created a way for customers to earn rewards on bills that they're already paying."

Eligible Verizon customers can avoid activation and upgrade fees — charges that can reach $40 per device — while earning 3% back each month through Verizon Dollars, redeemable toward devices, accessories and select brand rewards. The appeal, for Sacks, is that none of it requires new spending to unlock. "It's just financial optimization. And that feels really realistic for everyday people. Like, it's less a loyalty program and more a financial strategy."

Competitiveness between musicians and fandoms is nothing new. The Rolling Stones and The Beatles were often pitted against each other as English bands reaching their heights of fame at the same time.

Mick Jaggeraddressed whether the rivalry was ever real or something thrust upon them.

Jagger, 82, appeared on The Sunday TODAY show and talked about the culture pitting The Rolling Stones and The Beatles against each other. He explained that multiple things made the rivalry.

"I think there was an element of truth in it," Jagger said. "But I think there was an element of PR in it, too. But it was also London [versus] Liverpool, so it's a bit like L.A. [and] New York. Obviously, that was a good talking point for press to get on."

The bands did collaborate in the '60s. Brian Jones is in the backing vocals of "Yellow Submarine" and clinking glasses as a sound effect. He also played the saxophone on "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)" according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

Jagger said he has sung with Paul McCartney during that time, but they have never written together. "I don't think he really writes with anyone else," the singer said on the talk show.

The Rolling Stones is releasing a new album on July 10, 2026, called Foreign Tongues. McCartney, 83, is featured on it along with Robert Smith of The Cure, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Steve Winwood. McCartney talked to Mojo4Music about the collaboration.

"I worked on a track on their new album, and it was great to do," he said. "You sit down and the noise you’re hearing, the record you’re making, it’s the Stones. After the day at the studio, people said, 'How was it?' It was great! I mean, I was a session man with the Stones. (Laughs) I really enjoyed that, and it sounds like a Stones record."

So the rivalry was real for fans and the press. But the musicians have collaborated throughout their careers.

Olivia Wildeis spilling behind-the-scenes details of her relationship with Jason Sudeikis and the moment she knew it was over. The Tron: Legacy actor reveals Sudeikis said some truthful words that were the final straw.

It appears that both actors are airing out their grievances about their past relationship since calling it quits in 2020. Wilde appeared on an episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, saying, "Jason and I had been having a rough time for a while. We had a real bumpy ride."

The actor and director revealed she knew it was time to go their separate ways during a car ride in March 2020. It just happens that the two were driving home from her 36th birthday party when she asked Sudeikis if he had gotten her a gift.

“He said, ‘What would I get you, Olivia? I don’t know you,'” Wilde remembered.

While shocked by Sudeikis's biting words, she admitted that he "wasn't wrong" in what he told her. She quickly realized that they reached a point in their relationship where they "didn't know each other anymore."

The two actors started dating in 2011 after meeting at a party, with both of them having gotten out of previous marriages. They made their relationship public some time after, with Sudeikis proposing to Wilde in 2013. They welcomed two children together in 2014 and 2016, but never officially married.

Wilde admits that the conversation they had in the car was what led them to realize it "was over." She adds that it was "f*cking tough" and "it brought us to the place of, ‘OK, this is done, we’re gonna end this.'”

Wilde and Sudeikis both felt they were better off separated and ended the relationship. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown at the time, the two still lived together with their children. In that time, they tried to repair their relationship, but it didn't work. Their breakup was highly publicized at the time, especially when it came to custody rights for their kids.

Since their breakup, Wilde says the two have a "great" co-parenting relationship, and “These kids are consistently getting the best of us in a way that when we were together was not possible. We did not work together. But we work really well as separated co-parents.”

The actor is rumored to be linked to Ellie Goulding’s ex-husband, Caspar Jopling, while Sudeikis confirmed he's single and is finding dating "overwhelming."

Kate Middleton was the victim of "deliberate misuse" of her private medical records, says Britain's privacy and data protection watchdog, which has formally cautioned a former healthcare worker accused of trying to disclose the Princess of Wales' medical information for personal gain.

The private hospital in London where Kate received abdominal surgery in January 2024 reported a privacy breach in March that year. The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) subsequently launched a criminal investigation.

Kate spent two weeks at the London Clinic following her surgery. Further tests later revealed that 'cancer had been found.'

Back in March 2024 when the story broke it was reported that at least one member of staff at the hospital had tried to access the princess's medical records.

In a statement today the ICO said, 'Following a full assessment under the Code for Crown Prosecutors and the ICO's Prosecution Policy, the ICO issued a now former healthcare professional from London with a formal caution in relation to an offence under section 170(5) of the Data Protection Act 2018.

"The conduct involved the deliberate misuse of highly sensitive personal information and an offer to disclose it for financial gain, representing a clear breach of trust."

A caution, the ICO statement's went on, was seen to be "the appropriate and proportionate enforcement response."

During its investigation the ICO considered whether "there were any wider organisational issues arising from the healthcare provision in this matter," adding, "Based on the evidence available, we did not identify any failings that would meet the threshold for regulatory enforcement.'

Ian Hulme, the ICO's executive director for regulatory supervision, said, "People should be able to trust that the personal information they’re giving to healthcare settings is safe and protected from exploitation. When this trust is broken, it’s right that the law allows us to take action.

“We will not hesitate to pursue criminal prosecution where it is necessary and proportionate to do so.”

A spokesperson for the London Clinic said, "'We all take considerable pride in delivering the very highest standards of care and discretion for every patient at the London Clinic. 

'We are pleased our work with the ICO has brought this sad and isolated incident to a conclusion. There were no regulatory breaches by the hospital."

The London Clinic is the UK's largest private independent hospital. King Charles III was also treated there in January 2024.

In January 2025 Kate revealed that she was in remission for cancer.

In an Instagram post she wrote, "It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.

"I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support."

While the film praises Maurice White’s musical genius, it also avoids neglecting his faults, including serial adultery, and depicts the low point in the band's career that led numerous members to quit.

Alongside the many past and present band members, the new movie also includes commentary from icons such as Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, and Flea. Even Barack and Michelle Obama were interviewed in the documentary, where they talk about slow dancing to Earth, Wind & Fire's music.

Questlove told Variety that he felt there was a need to make a movie about Maurice White and how he "walked into situations in which he didn’t have a safety net."

"He could have just played it safe — he was making good money and had popularity playing with Ramsey Lewis, and he could have just stayed there and become rich and successful. But he had another mission, and those are the people I want — the people that feel they want to be a leader," he told the outlet earlier this month.

The cultural historian admitted he learned a lot about the funk/soul band when making the film. For example, he admitted that the band didn't come as "ready-made" as they seemed and weren't always as beloved.

"I was rather shocked to find out that they got booed mercilessly in my hometown of Philadelphia! And their answer to it was to sit in a lotus position for eight minutes straight [before finishing their set]," he recounted to Variety.

New Found Glory guitarist and vocalist Chad Gilbert fought back tears as he returned to the stage in a wheelchair amid his fight against rare adrenal cancer.

The rock star, 45, hit the stage in Nashville and got emotional as he was able to reunite onstage with his band after his shocking medical battle with the rare cancer, which saw him being rushed to the emergency room in March after suddenly losing control of his limbs. But the beloved musician triumphed and returned to the stage last week, and was overcome with emotion in a video obtained by The Daily Mail.

In a touching Instagram post, the musician shared how special the experience was.

"Monday was such a special night. I got to play a show in front of my daughter, something I truly never thought I’d get to do again. And my beautiful wife and all the nurses and doctors, my amazing team that have kept me alive through my battle. It was very emotional getting up on stage with my band again to play. So many feelings all at once. Here are some photos from the show. If you were there I hope you had a great time. Love you all," Gilbert captioned the shots, which showed him performing once again.

What Happened to New Found Glory's Chad Gilbert?

Four years ago, Gilbert received the diagnosis of a rare cancer called pheochromocytoma. However, the star wasn't sure what hit him when he started losing control of his limbs onstage during a gig back in February.

“On February 20th, I played a show in Nashville and was struggling to control the movements of my left hand. My left leg was getting weaker by the day and I started stumbling and falling at times. On the 23rd, I was taken to the ER,” Gilbert shared in an Instagram post in March, adding that a CT scan revealed to doctors that he had three tumors in his brain.

Gilbert underwent surgery in February to remove the tumors, and it was a success. Since that nightmare, he's been actively recovering.

Morgan Wallen has reached another major milestone in his record-breaking career. His hit song “Wasted On You” has officially surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, making it the 16th country song ever to join the platform’s exclusive billion-stream club.

The achievement further strengthens Wallen’s position as one of the biggest stars in country music. It also marks the fourth song in his catalog to cross the one-billion-stream threshold on Spotify, a feat accomplished by only a handful of artists in the genre.

“Wasted On You” joins Wallen’s other billion-stream hits: “Last Night,” “Whiskey Glasses” and “I Had Some Help” with Post Malone, according to Whiskey Riff. With four songs now reaching the milestone, Wallen owns one-quarter of all country tracks that have surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.

Am I the only one who feels like being a millennial means being in a constant state of disbelief at the world around you these days? Yum! Brands Announces Sale of Pizza Hut for $2.7 Billion

The earth-shattering news was announced by Pizza Hut's now former parent company, Yum! Brands, which also owns Taco Bell and KFC. According to Yum!, the decision was made "following a comprehensive review of strategic options for Pizza Hut that commenced in November 2025." In simpler terms, the writing has been on the wall for quite some time.

Although it doesn't necessarily mean the end of Pizza Hut as a brand, it could signal major changes to come. Whether that means a shift in the aesthetic and recipes or even a complete pivot in the menu entirely, Pizza Hut, as we know it, could effectively cease to exist.

What's Next for Pizza Hut

But does that mean things are all bad? Not necessarily. Red Lobster, for example, made a dazzling comeback after being sold to private equity, and although it's still very much trekking uphill, things are looking up for the beloved seafood palace.

The unfortunate truth, though, is that these types of sales are becoming increasingly common as the traditional fast-casual food industry continues to see overall sales decline. Despite having built-in demand—because, let's face it, people have to eat—companies like Pizza Hut are struggling to keep up with the growing pressure from shareholders to maximize profits in an ever-changing consumer landscape. In short, Pizza Hut isn't the first, and it definitely won't be the last.

Amid their farewell tour, the beloved '70s rock band Little Feat has announced that special guest Grahame Lesh will be joining them for an upcoming show. The exciting news was shared on Tuesday via Instagram, eliciting fan enthusiasm in the comments.

Lesh, the son of the Grateful Dead's late bassist Phil Lesh, will be accompanying Little Feat during their farewell celebration on August 10 in Oakland, California. Lesh is a singer-songwriter and a beloved figure in the Grateful Dead community. He has built a dedicated music career honoring his father's legacy with his tribute act Phil Lesh & Friends and the Terrapin Family Band.

Little Feat originally launched their farewell tour on April 10 in Orlando, Florida following two music-cruise performances. The cross-country trek was designed to celebrate the band's five-decade-long career and wrap up the touring chapter of their lives.

The group announced the summer leg of the tour earlier this year, which is set to run through August. Lesh's guest appearance will mark one of the last shows of the tour.

For years, every update on Faith No More felt like a downward spiral for fans of the '90s rockers. Canceled tours, health struggles, and lead singer dismissals looked like they would keep the group offstage permanently. Then, on the morning of June 16, the band posted a single image to social media. It was their eight-pointed star logo and the word '2027' superimposed over a shot of a live crowd, and years of uncertainty gave way to renewed optimism that fans might see 'Epic' performed live once again.

The music video for that song, their breakout hit, caused backlash and and controversy that still bubbles up today. It famously features a fish flopping around on dry land at the end causing fans, detractors, and activists to loudly question if they had killed the creature in the making of the video. Reportedly, however, the fish (or multiple fish) suffered no harm.

Faith No More last performed together in 2016, at the end of the touring cycle for their 2015 album Sol Invictus. What followed was a slow unraveling. A 2020 co-headlining tour with Korn was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and additional dates in 2021 were canceled after Patton cited mental health issues exacerbated by heavy drinking. In a 2022 interview with The Guardian, Mike Pattonrevealed he had been diagnosed with agoraphobia during the pandemic, describing how isolation had made going outside feel genuinely difficult, and how the prospect of more Faith No More shows had become stressful. The band's drummer, Mike "Puffy" Bordin, later said that Patton had 'gone from being unable to do the shows to clearly being unwilling to do shows with us. And that's heavy.'

The ice began cracking earlier this year. During AVTT/PTTN's April tour, Patton's collaborative project with the Avett Brothers, he performed Faith No More songs 'Ashes to Ashes' and 'Digging the Grave' live, material he hadn't played in over a decade. Then, in May, Patton and Bordin were seen together backstage at an AVTT/PTTN show at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, a small but notable signal that the estrangement between members had begun to ease.

Now a reunion seems to be coming. Brazilian entertainment company 30e announced a global deal with Faith No More for the band's future worldwide tours. This past January, System of a Down struck a similar global deal with 30e, signaling the company's growing foothold in representing legacy rock acts. In their statement, Faith No More described 30e's approach as something that 'doesn't feel like the usual machinery.'

The Real Thing, the landmark album that transformed Faith No More into a crossover phenomenon, was released on June 20, 1989, making this week the record's 37th anniversary. 'Epic,' the album's breakout single, peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100, the band's only top-ten hit in the United States. The album earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, and 'Epic' garnered a second nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1991. The Real Thing ultimately sold more than four million copies worldwide.

No specific dates have been announced yet. Patton is currently finishing out the AVTT/PTTN run with remaining shows in Cleveland, Ann Arbor, and Waukegan before the month is out. For now, the band is letting '2027' speak for itself, and for a fanbase that spent years hearing reasons why this reunion would never happen, one word is plenty.

Following the shocking news of Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo's split, the musician made a major change to his Instagram.

Jelly Roll removed his ex-wife's name from his bio, which had included her username with a lock-and-key emoji next to it. TMZ was first to report this change.

According to court documents, the country singer filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tenn., on May 18 after almost 10 years of marriage. The date of seperation was listed as May 9, with Jelly Roll citing irreconcilable differences.

Hours after the news broke, TMZ posted photos of a moving truck outside the home the couple shared. In the photos, it was unclear exactly who was moving out, but neighbors who spoke with the outlet said it was the first time they had seen a moving truck at the house.

The two met in 2015 and married in August 2016, going on to renew their wedding vows in 2023. They don't have any biological children together, but Jelly Roll has two children from previous relationships: Bailee Ann and Noah Buddy.

Bailee Ann recently broke her silence following the news, taking to TikTok.

“I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It’s (expletive) crazy,” the 18-year-old wrote over a photo of herself. “Go on somewhere yall. Worry ‘bout your house — not mine. I’m not speaking on it — yet.”

However, the two had expressed interest in having children together, being very open about their IVF journey.

"I don’t know if it’s that I did or if I didn’t choose it, but I think before we come here, we choose our life path, and we yearn for the pain that we go through,” Bunnie Xo told People in February. “And I genuinely think that having those abortions when I was younger [and] the journey that I’m going on now with IVF [is] God’s putting me through this again, so that I can be a voice for those women who are going through this process.”

The five day racing event is an important week in the royal family's social calendar, and during her fifteen years as a royal the Princess of Wales has turned heads in many a dazzling Royal Ascot outfit.

Today marks the first time that Kate has appeared at Royal Ascot since 2023. In 2024 she skipped the event as she was in the midst of receiving treatment for cancer, and in 2025 she once again was absent.

But now Kate's back and she wore one of her most dazzling outfits to date: a sunshine yellow dress by Roksanda and a massive zesty yellow hat featuring a frothy cloud of lemon netting.

She was pictured smiling and waving from a horse-drawn carriage as she and Prince William rode in the Royal Procession that marked Day Two of Royal Ascot.

The Prince of Wales wore a top hat and morning suit, and the yellow flower pinned to his lapel perfectly matched the bright hue of his wife's dress.

This is the third time that Kate has worn this particular yellow dress, which features a large bow on one shoulder. She wore it in 2022 to Wimbledon, when she stepped onto the court to present the Ladies trophy to Elena Rybakina, and wore it earlier that same year during her and William's Caribbean tour.

Kate accessorized with diamond chandelier earrings and her three strand pearl bracelet, which once belonged to Princess Diana.

Today's royal procession was led by Charles and Queen Camilla's carriage, with the king wearing a top hat like William as well as a fetching baby blue waistcoat as part of his own morning suit.

The king and queen also attended Day One of Royal Ascot, with Camilla wearing a heart shaped diamond brooch that has a long and storied history.

The brooch is called the Cullinan V, and was one of nine diamonds to be cut from the Cullinan Diamond, the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever found. It was mined in South Africa in 1905 and was known as the Great Star of Africa.

King George V had Cullinan I and Cullinan II set into the Sovereign’s Sceptre and the Imperial State Crown, while Queen Elizabeth inherited the rest of the stones in 1953.

Camilla had the Cullinan V set into the crown she wore for Charles' coronation ceremony, cleverly sidestepping the controversy that would have arisen had she worn the crown that features the glittering Kohinoor diamond, which is claimed by several other countries including India, Iran, and Afghanistan.

Day Two of Royal Ascot also saw Carole Middleton, Kate's mother, stepping out alongside her daughter-in-law Alizee Thevenet.

Carole wore the pale pink Catherine Walker coat dress that she wore to her daughter Pippa Middleton's wedding in 2017, while Alizee wore a very Victorian-esque long floral dress and a little straw hat.
