Sarah Michelle Gellar Reveals Why She Asked to Reshoot This Iconic 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Scene

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:50pm

Sarah Michelle Gellar is opening up about playing Buffy Summers on the hit WB series,Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

During a joint March 2026 interview on ColliderLadies Night, alongside her Ready or Not 2: Here I Come co-star, Kathryn Newton, Gellar revealed she requested to reshoot an important scene from the pilot episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which premiered in 1997.

"In the beginning, you know, Buffy comes to Sunnydale and Giles [Anthony Head] meets her and says, 'You know, I'm your Watcher.' And she's like, 'I don't want to do this. I want to be a normal [person].' It was a really big momentous scene and we shot it in the first episode," said Gellar in the ColliderLadies Night interview.

She said that she, however, had a better understanding of Buffy by the time she filmed the ninth episode of the series and wanted to reshoot the Season 1, Episode 1 scene.

"I went to the producers and I said, 'I know this is a crazy idea. I want to reshoot that scene.' And they were like, 'Why? It's good.' I'm like, 'Yeah, it's good, but I understand so much more. And we have this set. It's our standing set. If there's any way, even for an hour, if I could just get one more shot at it,'" recalled Gellar during her ColliderLadies Night interview.

Gellar said that producers agreed to let her re-film the scene.

"They took a chance and listened to me and they said, 'We only have one hour. Like, this is it. Take it or leave it.' And we re-shot that scene. And I think that scene is so much better because of it," continued the actress.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Said 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Was an Unexpected Hit

In a March 2026 interview with People magazine, Gellar said that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was an unexpected hit. She noted that the show was based off of Joss Whedon's 1992 film of the same name and was going to appear on a network that didn't have many viewers.

"We were doing a pilot for a network a lot of people didn't know about based on a movie that didn't have much success," said Gellar to People. "So, people really thought real highly of where we were going to go with this show. People kept telling me, 'Don't worry, you'll get a real show next year.'"

Gellar then said that those who doubted the show's success were eventually proven wrong.

"Worked out okay for me," quipped Gellar, who starred as Buffy for the show's seven-season run, which ended in 2003.

1970 Hit Ranked Among Best ‘Classic Rock Songs’ Became a Breakup Anthem

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:45pm

There are only a few songs out there that capture the sting of heartbreak quite like "Layla."

Written and recorded by Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon for their band Derek and the Dominos, "Layla" is the 13th track from their only studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. Released in 1970, the rock ballad details Clapton's intense and unrequited love for Pattie Boyd, the wife of his close friend, George Harrison. Boyd ended up divorcing the Beatles guitarist and marrying Clapton in Tucson, Arizona, in 1979, but got a divorce in 1989.

The actual title of the song was based on the story of Layla and Majnun, an old Arab folktale about the poet Qays ibn al-Mulawwah and his lover Layla bunt Mahdi. The two fell in love when they were really young, but Layla's father did not allow them to be together due to Qays' mental health issues. Layla eventually gets married to a rich man and moves to a place in Northern Arabia with him. Qays, who also went by Majnun, went searching for her. Quickly after her marriage, Layla became very ill and died, and Majnun was also found dead in the wilderness near Layla's grave.

Derek and the Dominos were an English-American rock band that was formed in 1970 by Clapton, Gordon, Bobby Whitlock and Carl Radle. All four members met and played together in Delaney & Bonnie and Friends before forming. They only released one album, which included their hit song "Layla." The record did not immediately have strong sales or radio airplay until two years later, when "Layla" became a Top 10 single in the United States and the United Kingdom. The track is also considered one of the "best classic rock songs of all time," ranked in the No. 2 spot on Collider's listicle they published in November 2025.

The band ended up splitting after a year due to intense personal issues, as well as heavy drug issues that many of the members struggled with. Despite the heartbreak and addiction issues Clapton was going through while writing "Layla" and its album, he revealed to Rolling Stone in 2010 that it's an era in his life he does not want to leave behind.

"It’s a difficult thing to revisit the Dominos thing. It isn’t an emotional thing," Clapton answered in the Q&A. In 2007, Clapton toured with Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II, and performed many songs from the Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. "But it was infectious from Doyle and Derek: 'They really want to do this stuff.' So I thought, 'This is the perfect opportunity. Because they can do it.'"

Clapton, who turns 81 next Monday, is the only living member of Derek and the Dominos. Radle passed away in his home in 1980 due to the impact of alcohol and narcotics when he was just 37 years old. Meanwhile, Gordon passed away in 2023, and Whitlock died last August.

After Derek and the Dominos broke up in 1971, Clapton retreated from public life to live in Surrey, England, and battled a heroin addiction. He then got clean and launched a successful solo career, releasing the album 461 Ocean Boulevard in 1974, and continues to record and tour. The "Wonderful Tonight" singer is set to perform around Europe this coming spring, kicking off his tour at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on April 24.

Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek and the Dominos, and the rest of Clapton's discography, is available on major streaming platforms.

Amazon Is Selling a 'Beautiful' $117 Wooden Console Table That Looks So High End

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:45pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

If you’ve been looking for a narrow console table that fits in tight spaces yet still offers storage space, the Safavieh Samantha Console Table is on sale for just $117 at Amazon, down from $271. That price is for the dark cherry finish, which is the biggest markdown. The distressed black version is $101 (originally $119), the red version is $137 (originally $144), and the vintage gray version is $137. There’s also a separate “solid” style in a camel finish for $146.

The table measures 35.8 inches wide, 13.8 inches deep, and 29.5 inches high, so it doesn’t stick out too far from the wall. It’s made from real wood and has two drawers plus a full-length lower shelf. The drawers are 15.2 inches wide and 11 inches deep, providing enough space for smaller everyday items, while the bottom shelf can hold baskets, books, or anything bulkier you don’t want sitting out.

The drawers offer space for the random things that might collect near an entryway, and the open shelf holds everything else without looking cluttered. Its depth works especially well in places with limited space, so it can fit easily in spots where a standard console or dresser might look bulky or awkward.

Shoppers have described this piece as “very sturdy” and the “perfect entryway table.” One reviewer said it was “one of the best deals I have ever gotten on Amazon,” adding that it’s “beautiful and well-made. ” Someone else wrote, “I've been shopping for a table like this in several stores and seen prices in the $300 to $375 range,” which is very telling of both its quality and incredible value.

The table’s versatile design can hold keys, mail, and whatever else you drop as you walk into the house. It can also be used as a vanity or a TV stand in bedrooms. And while some people keep the bottom shelf clean, others place baskets there as extra storage, so the styling opportunities are practically endless.

Iconic '70s Rock Band Returns to Stage After Unexpected Hospitalization

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:30pm

Legendary rock band AC/DC made a powerful return to the stage this week as guitarist Stevie Young performed just days after being hospitalized, easing concerns among fans and keeping the group’s global tour on track.

Young, 69, joined his bandmates for a sold-out show at Estadio River Plate on Monday, marking the band’s first performance since his brief hospital stay.

The guitarist had been admitted last week “out of an abundance of caution” after feeling unwell upon arriving in Buenos Aires. According to People, a spokesperson said he was “doing well and in good spirits” and expected to return quickly.

The concert proceeded without changes, featuring a full 21-song set that followed the band’s established tour format. The night opened with “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” and ended with the iconic “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You),” a closing tradition for the group.

AC/DC Tour Comeback After Health Scare

Fans packed the stadium for the first of three scheduled shows in the Argentine capital, showing strong support for the band’s return. Young performed normally throughout the concert, signaling that his health scare had no lasting impact on his ability to tour.

The current lineup includes lead guitarist Angus Young, vocalist Brian Johnson, bassist Chris Chaney and drummer Matt Laug. Despite decades in the music industry, the group delivered a high-energy performance that stayed true to their signature sound.

A recent review of their live shows praised the band’s simple yet powerful approach, highlighting their “catchy riffs” and “explosive choruses.”

The performance emphasized music over spectacle, with Angus Young continuing to lead visually and musically, even at age 70. Meanwhile, Brian Johnson maintained his stage presence, delivering fan-favorite songs with experience and charisma.

The Buenos Aires concert is part of AC/DC’s ongoing Power Up world tour, which supports their 2020 album of the same name. The band is scheduled to complete two more shows in the city before heading to Mexico City in April.

A North American leg will follow later in the year, with performances planned across major stadiums in the United States and Canada through September.

Having officially joined AC/DC in 2014, Stevie Young has become a steady presence in the group, known for maintaining the tight, driving guitar style that defines their music.

Seeing the band perform at full strength, especially so soon after uncertainty, added an emotional edge to an already electrifying night.

Anne Hathaway’s Comments on Work-Life Balance Have Moms Applauding

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:28pm

Anne Hathaway is just like us. Okay, so maybe the Academy Award and Golden Globe winner who is reprising her starring role of Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada 2 isn’t exactly like us. But the actress does have a few things in common with moms everywhere—and she recently shared some very relatable comments during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

The April 2026 cover star spoke candidly about her family and work-life balance, telling the magazine, “Before, there was this focus that was really uncompromising and uninterrupted…And I just can’t tell you anymore what life is like without kids, but kids interrupt you all the time.”

Hathaway went on to add, “My friends and I talk about it a lot, and we actually feel very defeated by the concept of balance.” While her job is more glamorous than what most moms get to experience, the actress still has to manage the delicate balance between caring for her kiddos (10-year-old Jonathon and 6-year-old Jack, with her husband, actor/producer Adam Schulman).

After all, spending weeks on end with an icon like Meryl Streep while wearing some of the most sought-after designer fashions is in many (or all) ways better than spending countless hours a day running endless errands for a demanding boss who controls almost every aspect of your life…oh wait, did we just describe Hathaway’s The Devil Wears Prada character?

Even though the IRL Hathaway doesn’t have the same work-related issues as her on-screen persona, the mom of two still has to find balance in her life. And like other moms, she doesn’t have it all figured out. In her recent interview, Hathaway also told Harper’s Bazaar, “If the weight shifts in one direction, you then have to bounce it up on the other side, and we find that it winds us up as opposed to making us steady.”

While you might expect the celeb to do, well, celebrity-like things, Hathaway’s idea of a good time may sound familiar to other parents. The actress toldVogue last July that spending time with her husband, kids, and friends is at the top of her list. And according to the interview, she enjoys surprisingly ordinary activities such as “Uno games, baking when there’s time, teaching the kids to dribble a basketball in the apartment without upsetting the neighbors.” An indoor basketball game with actress Anne Hathaway? Now that sounds like the perfect way to unwind after a long day of work!

Audrey Hepburn Won Her Only Oscar 72 Years Ago Today — But Not for the Movie You Think

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:25pm

Audrey Hepburn became an Oscar winner on March 25, 1954. Despite earning four additional nominations in the years to come, her first Academy Award would be the only one of her iconic career.

The late star won best actress for her role as Princess Ann in the 1953 film Roman Holiday. Hepburn overcame her fellow nominees in the category—Leslie Caron for Lili, Ava Gardner for Mogambo, Deborah Kerr for From Here to Eternity and Maggie McNamara for The Moon Is Blue—at the 26th Academy Awards.

When Hepburn took the stage to accept her trophy, she was overwhelmed with emotion.

“It’s too much,” she told the audience. “I want to say thank you to everybody who in these past months and years have helped, guided and given me so much. I’m truly, truly grateful and terribly happy.”

Hepburn achieved her Hollywood breakthrough with Roman Holiday, starring as a princess sightseeing in Rome alongside a reporter played by Gregory Peck. She ultimately became the first actress to win an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for the same performance.

As her career flourished, Hepburn received four more Academy Award nominations for best actress. In 1955, she returned to the awards show with a nod for Sabrina, though she lost to Grace Kelly for The Country Girl. Five years later, she was up for The Nun’s Story at the 1960 ceremony, but the honor went to Simone Signoret for Room at the Top.

Looking back, Hepburn seemed like a sure bet in 1962 when she earned a nomination for Breakfast at Tiffany’s, which is arguably her most iconic and enduring film role. However, Sophia Loren defeated her in the category, taking home the prize for Two Women.

Six years later, Audrey received her final Oscar nod for Wait Until Dark in 1968, with Katharine Hepburn—who was not related to Audrey despite the actresses sharing a last name—ultimately besting her with a win for Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.

Though Audrey never won another competitive Academy Award after her initial accolade in 1954, she was posthumously honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 1993.

Peck, then 76, presented the award during the 65th Oscars, highlighting Audrey’s work as a UNICEF ambassador.

“The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award honors individuals in the motion picture industry whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to us all,” he said at the time. “If ever someone lived up to the ideals of this award with dedication and conviction, it was Audrey Hepburn.”

Audrey’s son Sean Hepburn Ferreraccepted the award in her absence, noting, “She believed every child has the right to health, to hope, to tenderness and to life. On her behalf, I dedicate this to the children of the world.”

The honor came two months after Audrey died in January 1993 at age 63 following a battle with cancer. She was survived by sons Sean and Luca—whom she shared with ex-husbands Mel Ferrer and Andrea Dotti, respectively—and her partner, Robert Wolders.

New European Cycle Route Winds Through Quaint Towns, Wildflower Fields, and by Romantic Cafes

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:07pm

There’s something quietly radical about choosing a bike over a train, a car, or a flight. You move slower. You notice more. You stop when something smells good. That’s exactly the promise behind Sweden’s newly unveiled Ljungleden cycle route, a 170-kilometer journey threading through wildflower fields, café-lined towns, and a culture that treats coffee breaks like ritual.

As one academic study notes, cycling tourism offers “direct contact with the culture, history, and traditions of a territory,” reinforcing why routes like Ljungleden feel less like travel and more like immersion.

Set to officially open in spring 2026, the route connects Gothenburg to the countryside around Falköping, blending urban edges with pastoral calm. The path is a narrative stitched together by landscapes, local food, and the rhythm of pedaling. And if you ask me, it feels like the kind of trip that changes how you travel long after you’ve put the bike away.

Subscribe to our newsletter and get awesome stories like this delivered straight to your inbox!

Riding the Ljungleden: Wildflowers, Small Towns, and the Art of “Fika”

The Ljungleden takes its name from the violet heather flowers that bloom along parts of the trail, giving the route a seasonal softness that feels almost cinematic. The terrain shifts gently from low-traffic country roads to dedicated cycling paths, making it accessible whether you are a casual rider or someone chasing distance.

Along the way, you pass through towns like Vårgårda, Herrljunga, and Alingsås. The latter is affectionately known as Sweden’s “capital of fika,” a cultural institution centered on coffee, pastries, and the deliberate act of slowing down. It is not uncommon to see cyclists pause mid-journey, leaning bikes against wooden façades while lingering over cinnamon buns.

Related: The 3 Most Authentic Food Cities In Europe

I imagine this is where the route reveals its personality. Not in the kilometers covered, but in the pauses. A farm shop selling local produce. A café where no one rushes you. A stretch of road where the only sound is your tires on gravel and wind brushing through fields.

Western Sweden has leaned into food tourism in recent years, and Ljungleden reflects that. Expect locally sourced menus, small-scale restaurants, and roadside stops that feel curated without trying too hard.

Why Cycling Routes Like This Are Having a Moment

The rise of routes like Ljungleden is not accidental. Cycling travel is booming, driven by a desire for slower, more immersive experiences. Travelers are increasingly trading packed itineraries for journeys that prioritize nature, authenticity, and physical connection to place.

Europe has long been ahead of this curve. The continent’s vast EuroVelo network spans tens of thousands of kilometers across dozens of countries, connecting cities, coastlines, and cultural landmarks through bike-friendly infrastructure. Some routes follow rivers like the Danube for thousands of kilometers, while others trace historical borders or link capital cities.

Related: Your European Soul City, Based on Birth Month

But what makes Ljungleden stand out is its scale. At 170 kilometers, it is approachable. You can ride it over a few days, or break it into smaller segments. It invites participation rather than endurance.

There is also a subtle shift happening. Cycling routes are no longer just about scenery. They are about storytelling. Food, culture, and local identity are becoming just as important as the ride itself.

Planning a Trip on the Ljungleden

For travelers considering Ljungleden, flexibility is part of its appeal. The route supports both day trips and multi-day journeys, with access points that make it easy to join or leave as needed. Rail connections in the region also allow cyclists to combine biking with public transport, reducing logistical friction.

Spring and summer will likely be the most popular times to ride, when wildflowers are in bloom and cafés are fully open. Expect long daylight hours, especially in early summer, which stretch riding time and make spontaneous detours more tempting.

Packing light is key, and what you bring can shape the experience as much as the route itself:

  • Space for the unexpected, like a fresh pastry, local jam, or something worth carrying home
  • Layers to adapt to Sweden’s shifting weather, even on sunny days
  • A reliable map or GPS for navigating between towns and countryside stretches
  • Comfortable cycling gear suited for long but leisurely rides
  • A small daypack or pannier with extra room for local finds
  • Snacks and water, though you’ll likely stop often along the way

Stay in the loop with fresh travel stories and updates—subscribe to our newsletter.

The Bigger Picture: A Shift Toward Meaningful Movement

Across Europe, investments in cycling infrastructure are reshaping how people move through cities and landscapes alike. From urban bike-friendly initiatives to long-distance touring routes, the continent is quietly building a future where travel is less about getting somewhere and more about experiencing the in-between.

And maybe that’s why this particular route feels so compelling. It does not promise extremes. No record-breaking distances. No dramatic challenges. Just fields of flowers, small towns, good coffee, and the simple act of moving forward under your own power. Honestly, that sounds like enough.

1979 'Simplest Song in the World' Only Took a Half an Hour to Write

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 7:01pm

Scoring a top five hit is a rare accomplishment for any band, but landing eight top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100 is practically unheard of, even among the most famous and beloved bands in the world. That's exactly what Air Supply managed to do, though, with a string of chart-toppers such as "All Out of Love," "Every Woman in the World" and "Here I Am," and others...including one that apparently only took half an hour to write.

In a new video shared by Air Supply's official TikTok, singer-songwriter/guitarist Graham Russell, 75, opened up about the writing process behind their classic "Lost in Love," which was released in Australia in 1979 and in the U.S. a year later (when it peaked at #3).

"It was really a song about hope, and whatever happens, lift your eyes up and look up, and you'll find some inspiration," Russell said. "It's the simplest song in the world, and it only took me half an hour to write it."

Russell went on to play a little bit of the song on an acoustic guitar.

Fans in the comments couldn't help but feel nostalgic at hearing the tune.

"Wow, all my teenage memories in one song. Air Supply was a must in every teenage gathering and parties," one person wrote, with a second sharing, "Because of Air Supply, a shy boy had the nerve to ask a girl to dance."

Russell Graham once said 'Lost in Love' took just 15 minutes to write

In an interview with Songfacts, Russell estimated the length of the time he spent writing "Lost in Love" to be even shorter.

"My songs are really straight ahead, real simple chords, the simpler the better. So a song like 'Lost In Love' with four chords, there's only two parts to it," he explained. "There's really no chorus. There's just a verse and a bridge. So something like that shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes to write, you know."

"I think about the songs before I start to write them, and I think about where they're going to go," Russell said, adding, "I'm very aware that when that inspiration comes, it comes very quickly: it's like a dart, and it doesn't last a long time, that real initial impulse. So when it comes I know that the thoughts are going to be scattered, and they're going to come really fast, and I need to get them down quickly, so I need to think about the song first when I know it's coming."

"When a song is coming I get a weird feeling, and then I kind of drift somewhere on my own to think about it," the musician continued. "But when I actually play the piano or pick the guitar up, it'll come really quickly. But my songs, too, are very simple. I mean, I'm not into jazz, and I'm not into fusion or anything like that."

Whatever Russell is into, Air Supply fans are clearly right there with him.

1979 Timeless Classic Was a No. 1 Hit Song 47 Years Ago Today

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 6:55pm

In 1979, Sister Sledge released a song that would become one of the most enduring anthems of the disco era.

Their single, "We Are Family" soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and reached the top of the Billboard Hot Soul Singles, while also becoming a major crossover hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Written and produced by legendary duo Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of the band Chic, the song captured the spirit of togetherness with its infectious groove and uplifting message. Its instantly recognizable bassline and joyful chorus helped it stand out at a time when disco was dominating the charts.

"Although we had been performing internationally for a number of years, we
were presented as new artists by then president of Cotillion Records Henry Allen," said Debbie Sledge in an interview. "Nile and Bernard were two up and coming producers who set out to prove themselves in the industry. Sister Sledge was one of their first projects. As Nile Rogers put it, 'After meeting Sister Sledge the song practically wrote itself.' When we heard it for the first time we all agreed!"

Sister Sledge, made up of sisters Debbie, Joni, Kim and Kathy Sledge, brought authenticity to the track, turning it into more than just a hit song. Their real-life bond gave "We Are Family" an added emotional resonance that connected with listeners around the world.

"Recording the track 'We Are Family' was like a one-take party – we were just dancing and playing around and hanging out in the studio when we did it," Joni Sledge told The Guardianin 2016.

"Nile and Bernard believed in spontaneity, they had a formula we had to follow," said Kathy Sledge in 2019. "They wanted that edge with each song they felt you couldn't get from rehearsing. Nile was literally feeding me the lines as we recorded. I had to find the melody—and quick!"

The song quickly became a cultural touchstone, embraced not only as a disco favorite but also as a broader anthem of unity and empowerment. It was famously adopted by the Pittsburgh Pirates during their 1979 World Series-winning season, further cementing its place in pop culture history.

More than four decades later, "We Are Family" continues to be played at celebrations, sporting events and gatherings of all kinds, proving its timeless appeal.

As one of the defining songs of 1979, it remains a powerful reminder of music's ability to bring people together, no matter the era.

Robert Pattinson Disses His 'Twilight' Character's Nemesis: 'No One's Team Jacob!'

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 6:43pm

Calling all Team Jacob fans! Someone woke up and chose a controlling egotistical vampire over a sweet lovable werewolf! And it's none other than the actor who played the original Twilight vampire himself, Robert Pattinson—and he's boldly dropping these fighting words, "No one's Team Jacob!"

In a recent presser for the upcoming movie The Drama, also starring Zendaya, the interviewer asks the two actors, "Team Jacob or Team Edward?"

Zendaya claims, "Team Edward. All day. Let's go." And it's fine. She is sitting next to the "Edward" actor, so what's she supposed to say? Plus, everyone knows she actually likes nice guys so she's really Team Jacob ...

Then Pattison launches some real emotional damage on loyal Twi-hards, laughing and saying, "No one's Team Jacob! Like, that was just a marketing thing!"

The Stephenie Meyer Twilight Saga book series-turned-movie-quadrilogy took the entertainment world by storm in the mid and late 2000s. The story, in part, follows the love triangle between teenager Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), an 108-year-old vampire named Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and werewolf named Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). As fandom grew, there was an ongoing split between fans who claimed they were either Team Edward and fans who were Team Jacob.

Anyway, all joking aside, Rob, we love you, but you're wrong. In fact, the interviewer proves Jacob fans are still ride-or-dying for the story's top dog Jacob (even though, for reasons we won't spoil here, it's ultimately a very positive thing that Bella chooses who she chooses).

Iconic '90s Actress, From 'Greatest Sitcom' of All Time, Turns 66

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 6:40pm

Before Seinfeldbecame a cultural phenomenon, only a few guest characters left as lasting an impression as hers.

Brenda Strong, celebrated for her role as the hilarious and chaotic Sue Ellen Mischke on Seinfeld, turned 66 on Wednesday. Though her stint on the "show about nothing" was brief, her portrayal of the character cemented her place in sitcom history.

Seinfeld, which aired on NBC from 1989 to 1998 and stars Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander, follows four single friends and their everyday lives in New York City. The show has been ranked as one of the "greatest sitcoms of all time" by many publications, including GQ and Entertainment Weekly.

Sue Ellen was Elaine Benes's (Louis-Dreyfus) high school enemy. She appeared in a total of four episodes of Seinfeld and is best known for her antics in Season 7. Known as the "braless wonder," Sue Ellen wanders around New York City braless, only wearing an Oh Henry! wrapped over her chest, which caused a car accident involving Elaine's boyfriend.

Back in July 2019, Strong did an interview with the Today Show and spoke about how she got the role of Sue Ellen.

"My managers and I were looking for that one role that would kind of set me apart from all of Jerry's girlfriends that kept coming through the casting chain, so when this came across their desk, they said 'This looks really interesting,'" she recalled. "I was a little nervous because you know when the descriptor is 'braless wonder,' it sets you up for a certain expectation."

Strong began her career in 1984, appearing in the music video for Billy Crystal's "You Look Marvelous" after graduating with a music degree from Arizona State University. Throughout the 1990s, she made guest appearances in many popular shows, including Twin Peaks, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Sports Night, Blossom and starred as the deceased Mary Alice Young on Desperate Housewives.

After Desperate Housewives ended in 2012, the actress played the third wife of Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) in the TNT series, Dallas. Strong was also a season regular on the third season of the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, and has appeared in various TV series like Chicago Med, Unprisoned and 61st Street.

The episodes Strong is featured in on Seinfeld, and all nine seasons of the comedy are available to stream on Netflix.

‘Age of Attraction’: When Will Season 1’s Reunion Premiere?

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 6:28pm

The finale of Age of Attraction is out, revealing who is still together and who went their separate ways. However, the reunion is always where we hear the true results of these social experiments. Netflix didn't tease whether there was a reunion at the end of the finale, but there is an update elsewhere.

Age of Attraction Season 1's Reunion Is On April 1

How much does age affect love? That's what the new reality series claims to discover. The season was filmed from April to June in 2025. Theresa DeMaria posted herself getting her makeup down on TikTok on March 25. The words, "GRWM for the taping of the reunion," is on top of the video.

The reunion will premiere on Wednesday, April 1 on Netflix. Theresa's caption claimed hosts, Nick Viall and Natalie Joy will be handling the episode.

Viall posted a teaser of the episode and it takes place on the set of The Viall Files.

Spoiler for episode 8!

Which Couples Are Still Together? Vanessa Drozda and Logan Goodrid on 'Age of Attraction'

Netflix

The finale was released on March 25. Each couple met on top of a mountain to decide whether to stay together away from the cameras or break up.

Pfeifer, 23, and Derrick Fleming, 43, left the show as a couple. Pfeifer planned to move in with the father in Dallas, and he gifted her a key to his place. However, the teaser of the reunion shows Pfeifer didn't attend the reunion which isn't a good sign.

Chris Dahlan, 26, chose to end his relationship with Leah Woolfolk, 41, claiming they had different timelines on when to start a family. Leah hoped to continue the relationship. Leah asks the cast in the reunion trailer to raise their hand if they think Chris was on the show to find love.

John Merrill, 27, and Theresa, 54, chose to continue their relationship with the blessing of her kids. John says in the reunion that he doesn't deserve to be with someone who texts him that they feel disgusted being with him. That might be a bad sign for the couple.

Libby Vodicka, 22, and Andrew Wheeler, 38, chose to stay together. This will be an adjustment for Libby since he has young kids. Andrew said he almost didn't attend the reunion in the teaser. Libby revealed she didn't meet Andrew's kids.

Logan Goodrid, 29, surprised Vanessa Drozda, 49, by asking for her promise ring back. She thought it was a break up, but he got down on one knee and proposed. Vanessa said yes. There aren't any hints to their update in the reunion teaser.

It looks like some insecurities about the age gaps continued to pop up after filming. Some couples didn't reach the big step of meeting their partner's kids. April 1 will hopefully bring us more answers than questions.

Inside The Feud That Followed This ‘Captain Kangaroo’ Star’s Shocking Firing

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 6:26pm

Long before he became a household name as Captain Kangaroo, Bob Keeshan was caught in a behind-the-scenes fallout that would linger for years.

Keeshan, who originally played Clarabell the Clown on Howdy Doody, was among several cast members abruptly let go from the NBC show in 1952—an event later dubbed the “Christmas massacre.” The decision stemmed from a failed attempt by cast members to push for better pay, a move that ultimately backfired.

According to television producer Burt Dubrow, who shared details on the Nostalgia Tonight with Joe Sibilia podcast on Sunday, March 22, Keeshan had a deep admiration for Howdy Doody star Buffalo Bob Smith prior to the firing. “He really looked up to Bob Smith,” Dubrow said, noting that the dynamic made the fallout even more complicated.

Keeshan’s effort to organize fellow cast members and pursue action against NBC reportedly led to unintended consequences. Instead of improved conditions, he and several others lost their jobs.

While Keeshan would go on to find lasting success as the beloved host of Captain Kangaroo, which aired from 1955 to 1984, the experience clearly left a mark. “He never got over that, and he always gave Bob Smith credit,” Dubrow explained, suggesting that lingering feelings toward Smith remained part of the story.

Despite the tension, the two television figures eventually crossed paths again years later during a children’s television tribute. It was their first reunion after a long period of silence.

“They hadn’t seen each other in years. And I think, at least for Bob Keeshan, I think that was a good thing,” Dubrow said. “Because I remember talking to him after that. He really wanted to thank Bob.”

Dubrow added that Smith had once been a guiding presence in Keeshan’s life. “Bob was like a father image to Keeshan,” he said, though acknowledging their relationship “didn’t end well” during their time on Howdy Doody.

Keeshan passed away in 2004 from a heart attack, while Smith died in 1998 after a battle with lung cancer.

The Genius Tortilla Trick We Wish We’d Known About Sooner

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 6:25pm

Viral food trends come and go, and some are more worth trying than others. Ideally, those worthwhile food tricks, trends and hacks are those that are easy to replicate at home, don't require a ton of ingredients and leave you wishing you'd thought of such an ingenious idea yourself. These adorable three-ingredient Valentine's pretzel kisses are a great example—they come together in minutes, taste great and require very few ingredients (plus they're customizable, so you could tweak them to fit various holidays or occasions outside of V-Day).

One such trending food hack that perfectly checks both the "easy-to-make" and "minimal ingredients" boxes is the sweet, cinnamon-y tortilla cereal originally created by Melissa Ben-Ishay, aka Baked By Melissa. Melissa has a massive following on both Instagram and TikTok, and she often posts quick and easy recipes and food hacks (ones that don't even necessarily call for specific measurements—they're that easy to make on the fly!).

When I came across Melissa's supposed Cinnamon Toast Crunch dupe—one that placed flour tortillas as the star of the show—I was cautiously intrigued. Cinnamon Toast Crunch happens to be one of my absolute favorite cereals, but I don't necessarily always have it stocked in my pantry. So, the premise of being able to whip together a sort of cereal dupe using only tortillas and a couple of other ingredients was one that I knew I had to try myself.

Read on for my full review of this tortilla cereal hack, including how to make it yourself and if I think it's worth making at all (or filling in for that precious bowl of name-brand Cinnamon Toast Crunch).

What You Need for This Homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch Hack

Perhaps the most enticing aspect of Baked By Melissa's tortilla cereal hack is that it requires just three ingredients (four if you count the salt), and they're ones you might already have stocked in your pantry. Flour tortillas are the star of the show, and the only other ingredients you'll need to make the cereal itself are brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Since this is meant to be a sort of cereal dupe, it's a good idea to have your favorite milk on hand for serving (but if you simply want to enjoy your homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch by the handful, we won't judge).

View this post on Instagram How To Make Cinnamon Toast Crunch With Tortillas

Courtesy Julia Duda

To make your own Cinnamon Toast Crunch, it all starts with the tortillas. Roll up your flour tortilla(s) (I used two since mine were smaller than the ones Melissa used in her video) into a spiral and slice into thin strips.

Courtesy Julia Duda

Once you've done the initial slices, you'll be left with long strips. From that point, rotate the tortilla strips so that they're laying horizontally, then go ahead and slice them again, this time into small squares. You don't have to be incredibly precise in this process, but try to make the squares roughly the same size so the cereal-eating experience is a little more enjoyable down the line.

Courtesy Julia Duda

Transfer the tortilla squares to a pan and add the brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Melissa doesn't provide specific measurements here, so I used my best judgment and added about ¼ cup of brown sugar, a healthy few shakes of cinnamon and a generous sprinkling of flaky salt. When it doubt, you can always start with less sugar or cinnamon and add more as desired.

Courtesy Julia Duda

Mix up all the ingredients in the pan and heat them over a medium heat. At first, I noticed that it was a bit hard to get the brown sugar to actually cling to the tortillas, but as it heats up and becomes a bit syrupy, it will stick more easily. Melissa doesn't call for this in her rendition, but I decided to spritz my mixture with a bit of cooking spray, just to help the brown sugar cling to the tortilla a bit better and to help everything crisp up.

The amount of time you should cook your cereal depends on how much tortilla you used, but for me, it took about 10 total minutes of cook time. After an initial five minutes at medium heat, I went down to a medium-low heat as the brown sugar really began to melt and become syrupy. From there, I just paid attention to the browning of the tortilla squares and pulled them off the heat when they seemed nicely browned and adequately coated in the brown sugar/cinnamon syrupy mixture.

Courtesy Julia Duda

After you remove the cereal from heat, transfer it to a sheet of parchment paper to cool. Spread the squares out into a somewhat even layer (as opposed to a big pile) so that they cool down faster. Alternatively, if you don't wish to enjoy the cinnamon squares in cereal format, you can pretty much just dig in right away.

Courtesy Julia Duda

Once your cereal has cooled down, transfer to a bowl and pour in your milk of choice. Then, it's time to grab a spoon and enjoy your homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch: My Honest Thoughts

Courtesy Julia Duda

After trying the tortilla Cinnamon Toast Crunch hack, I can confidently say that something was working here, against all odds. I had my doubts that, for starters, this would even taste good at all, and much less like actual Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Was this cereal an absolute dupe for regular Cinnamon Toast Crunch? No, and there was no denying that I was eating a bowlful of homemade cereal with every bite. Was it still sweet, crunchy, cinnamon-y and overall delicious? Absolutely.

Something I really appreciated about this cereal trick is just how crispy-crunchy those tortilla squares got. I almost wish that I'd enjoyed more of the squares on their own before adding milk, as they did soften pretty quickly once liquid was introduced (but what cereal doesn't?). During the cooking process, I was having a hard time keeping the brown sugar from clumping up and really clinging to certain tortilla pieces, but those pieces ended up being all the more delicious in the final product.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of this tortilla cereal trick was how much the final product didn't taste like tortillas. I expected there to be a strong, unavoidable floury taste in the mix, but most of that particular flouriness got cooked off or simply coated in cinnamon-sugar goodness. So, even if you don't necessarily love flour tortillas, you might still enjoy this recipe.

Courtesy Julia Duda

Overall, I could see myself turning to this tortilla hack when I'm looking for a late-night snack and don't have a ton of groceries readily available.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed this tortilla cereal better than store-bought Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but I did appreciate the flavors and textures that it had to offer along with the customizability.

3 Tips & Tricks for Making This Recipe

Although this is a pretty straight-forward food hack from start to finish, there are a few tips to keep in mind to ensure your bowlful turns out just right.

1. Avoid clumpy brown sugar

Just about anyone who's familiar with brown sugar knows that clumps are sort of par for the course. If possible, though, try to make sure your brown sugar is as clump-less as possible before adding it to the pan, otherwise you might have a hard time getting it to break down/become syrupy.

I scooped my brown sugar right out of the container and added it to the pan in one scoopful, but it might be helpful to sprinkle it over the tortilla squares for more even distribution and once again to avoid those clumps.

2. Don't crank the heat too high

Although it may be tempting to immediately crank the heat up to get that sugar melting, this is a bad idea. Sugar can start to burn in the blink of an eye, so a medium to medium-low heat is your best bet for even melting and to help avoid excessive clumping.

Also, make sure you're stirring the mixture often so that it doesn't start to burn, and use a rubber spatula if possible to gently scrape syrupy bits of sugar off the bottom of the pan.

3. Be mindful of ingredient swaps

It'd be pretty easy to customize this tortilla cereal, and the easiest way would be to introduce different spices. Cinnamon is pretty much essential here, but other warming spices like a dash of nutmeg or even a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice would be delicious as well. You could even amp up the flavor with the help from vanilla extract or even maple extract for a unique twist.

If there's one ingredient you don't want to swap out, though, it's the brown sugar. Though it may be temping to reach for granulated sugar instead, brown sugar has that deep, molasses-forward flavor profile that really makes this cereal pop. Plus, the molasses aids in the sugar becoming syrupy, in a way that granulated sugar just couldn't quite replicate.

Psychologist Says These 7 Behaviors Often Signal Unprocessed Grief

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 6:12pm

Losing someone we love—whether it’s a partner, family member, friend or beloved pet—is something traumatic we all go through. Losses can also include divorce or losing a job as well. Grief is never easy, but it’s different for everyone. It comes in many forms and follows stages that look a little different for each of us. And while some of us may process things more quickly than others, it doesn’t mean that the loss wasn’t felt any less severely.

For others, there’s something called "unprocessed grief," a type of grief that is prolonged and doesn’t seem to improve over time. Otherwise known as "unresolved grief" or “complicated grief,” one 2012 study found that 7% of bereaved people experience this form of despair, one that can even develop into a diagnosable prolonged grief disorder (PGD), per the American Psychiatric Association

Grief is tough for nearly anybody. Research in 2024 found that 84% of people who have had a loss report that it negatively affects their daily lives. But bereavement can become disordered and develop into someone’s entire identity, which can be understandable given the circumstances.

If you or someone you love may be experiencing this kind of mourning, read on for seven behaviors that may signal unprocessed grief and learn how to finally start healing

7 Signs of Unresolved Grief, According to a Psychologist

While unprocessed grief is the broad term, more people tend to fall within the more specific category of “prolonged grief disorder,” according to Dr. Smith.

She notes that symptoms of prolonged grief disorder (PGD) include the following behaviors. While anyone with unprocessed mourning can exhibit them, these are the key things to be on the lookout for when it comes to PGD. They're also things that can inform a mental health professional, as well, if you’re seeking a diagnosis or starting treatment.

Related: Stop Saying These 9 Common Phrases to People Who Are Grieving, Experts Warn

1. Acting out

Dr. Brandy Smith, PhD,a licensed psychologist with Thriveworks in Birmingham, AL, who specializes in grief, says that some people who are going through unprocessed grief may engage in “risky behaviors with a sense of not caring about one’s own life.”

She adds that acting out can also relate to being aggressive and/or problematic within interactions with others.

“Either way, this person demonstrates a lack of caring for themselves and/or their relationships,” she says.

2. Substance use

As part of coping, those with unprocessed grief may turn to substances. They may “increase substance use in an effort to numb or disconnect from the real-life pain of the loss,” Dr. Smith says.

“While this may give the person the impression it is helping, the reality is always there when they are not in an altered state, so it can make it difficult to have times of sobriety because they are not confident of their ability to cope with the reality,” she explains.

3. Not re-engaging with life

Someone with unprocessed grief may stay inside, or if they’re interacting with the outside world, they may do it in such a way that it is “hermit-like,” Dr. Smith shares, “which means they do what they need in the outside world, then return to their figurative shell or cave.”

Related: ‘I’m a Psychologist—These Are the 5 Surprising Things I Swear By To Combat Loneliness’

4. Not acknowledging the loss

“In these situations, the person acts as if nothing has happened,” Dr. Smith states. “They may never speak about the person or situation that the loss is connected to, and may be inclined to avoid things that relate to the person or situation. The underlying sentiment is if they do not acknowledge it, then it is not real, or at least they do not have to ‘deal’ with it.”

This may result in a delayed or complicated form of grief.

5. Acting like everything is okay all the time

You may act like everything is okay all the time or that nothing has changed. You may feel that you are “masked” as you deal with the grief.

“This way of being can involve someone who constantly says they are fine or do not need anything," Dr. Smith says. "It can also manifest as the person seeming to go about their business as if it is ‘same old same old’ when in reality they are not acknowledging the changes that are associated with the loss. It may be true that the person does not need or want anything specifically from you, but there are things needed to help.”

Related: 8 Phrases To Replace Saying 'It's OK' When It's Really Not OK, According to Psychologists

6. Ongoing, intense anger

“Being angry and irritable are common experiences following a loss, but an ongoing intense level of them can indicate unprocessed grief because the person is not sufficiently acknowledging what happened and/or the impact of what happened,” Dr. Smith says. “They are remaining at one level of the experience and not going beyond or deeper.”

7. Prolonged guilt

You may experience prolonged guilt for what you could have done or should have done regarding your loved one's death.

“This approach keeps the person in a ‘what if’ spiral and prevents the person from being able to find ways to integrate what happened and find ways to move forward,” Dr. Smith says.

How To Process Grief in a Healthy Way

First of all, if you suspect that you’re going through unprocessed grief, or you’re seeing the signs in someone else, Dr. Smith says that it’s important to acknowledge the loss itself and check in with yourself about your thoughts and feelings about it.

She also shares that you can remove expectations of “shoulds” at this point in your life, specifically when it comes to what you “should” do or feel.

“Grief is a unique experience for each person experiencing the loss, so make space for your own (and others’ own) experience[s],” she states. “Remember that grief is not a ‘one and done’ experience, so prepare to feel it at various points for periods of time.”

She says that if you happen to have advanced knowledge of a possible loss, consider ways to prepare for it ahead of time.

“Advanced preparation will not prevent grief, but people report it can ease aspects of their grieving,” she notes.

And of course, the best treatment regimen can be achieved through seeking the help of a mental health professional.
