For the first time in four years, one of The History Channel's signature documentary franchises is back.

Modern Marvels, the network's longest-running original series, returns on Monday, July 27, with a new three-part event titled Modern Marvels: WWII. The limited series marks the franchise's first new episodes since 2022 and continues a television legacy that stretches back more than 30 years.

Premiering at 10 p.m. ET on July 27, the new installment examines World War II through the lens of engineering and technological innovation, exploring how the race to build bigger, faster and more powerful machines reshaped both the war and the modern world.

First launched in 1993 before becoming a History Channel staple in 1995, Modern Marvels has produced more than 650 episodes covering everything from engineering and architecture to manufacturing, transportation and everyday technology. Along the way, it became the network's longest-running original series and one of its defining nonfiction brands.

Although the show was revived in 2021 after several years off the air, its most recent original episodes debuted in 2022, making Modern Marvels: WWII the franchise's first new installment in four years.

The three-part event focuses on the technological breakthroughs that helped shape World War II.

The premiere, "Super Weapons," explores innovations including Britain's Bouncing Bomb and Grand Slam bomb, America's B-29 Superfortress and Germany's enormous Gustav Gun.

On Aug. 3, viewers will get two new episodes back-to-back. "Mega Builds" examines massive wartime engineering projects, including the Pentagon, the Maginot Line and some of the conflict's largest infrastructure efforts. The final installment, "Gears and Gadgets," looks at inventions ranging from the bazooka and cavity magnetron radar to the Enigma code machine and early night-vision technology.

According to History, the series examines how wartime urgency accelerated scientific breakthroughs that continue to influence military technology, engineering and everyday life decades later.

New episodes will also become available to stream the day after they air through the History Channel app, History.com and participating TV providers' on-demand platforms.

For Beatles fans, this is the discovery of a lifetime.

Footage from the Beatles' first-ever appearance on the British TV institution Top of the Pops in 1964 has resurfaced, clips devotees have long hailed as the 'holy grail' of Beatlemania.

The film preservation group Film is Fabulous! announced it had recovered a complete 35mm reel of the Fab Four's March 19, 1964 performance at the BBC's Television Theatre in London. During their appearance, the band ran through their now iconic hits Can't Buy Me Love and You Can't Do That just a day before the two songs arrived as a single.

Beatles fans celebrated the discovery across social media, with many calling it a once-in-a-generation find. "Wasn't this the Holy Grail of Beatles footage?" one person wrote.

Another commented, "This is truly incredible. Here we are in 2026, and a presumed lost Beatles film is being found. This really is absolutely super Fab news!"

Others echoed the excitement, with one fan writing, "This is fantastic!" while another added, "This is so wonderful! Just when we think we have everything Beatles, something wonderful and new appears."

The reel captures the session in full, four grainy takes of Can't Buy Me Love, and two of You Can't Do That banter and bloopers included. It was handed to the group by the family of a late industry professional. The original 35mm film will now be restored and returned to the BBC archives. Film is Fabulous! confirmed the news on social media. 

For decades, that footage was thought gone for good. The BBC had wiped and reused the original tape, as it routinely did at the time, leaving behind only grainy fragments and negatives over the past 60 years, as per Page Six.

There are charming moments throughout. John Lennon snuck one in during the second take of You Can't Do That pulling a funny face as a camera pushed in for a close-up. "During breaks, the Beatles openly joked, and could be seen dancing to amuse themselves," the group said, as reported by Guitar.com.

A cultural mainstay across the pond, Top of the Pops became famous for its "live" performances, with bands lip-syncing their biggest hits.

Exactly when the public will get to watch the rediscovered footage is still unknown, though Film is Fabulous! said talks are underway to make it available to a wide audience. The timing is fitting.

The joyful discovery arrived amid the buzz surrounding Global Beatles Day, June 25, when Apple Corps debuted a colorized version of the band's BBC broadcast of All You Need Is Love online for the first time, according to the official Beatles website.

Elton John's back catalogue is full of emotional and personal songs, but none more than 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight'. In fact, the song was so emotional, Elton fought to edit it down for the radio.

Taken from John's 1975 album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, the track was released as a single on 20 June 1975, and was the only single from the iconic album. The song addresses John's attempted suicide.

At 6 minutes and 45 seconds, "'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' was twice as long as a typical single but one of Elton's shorter tracks at the time. Due to the personal nature of the lyrics, John fought the record label who wanted to edit the song down to a more suitable length for radio airplay.

In the summer of 1970, Elton John nearly married Linda Woodrow. He knew it wasn't right, but two years into the relationship he didn't know how to call off his upcoming wedding.

After a night out with blues singer Long John Baldry and long-time collaborator Bernie Taupin, he went home and called it off.

“I was devastated. My whole family was feeling for me, because they were expecting a wedding,” Linda told The Record about her break-up. “I suppose I just carried on and put it down to an experience. As he got more and more famous, I thought, ‘Wow.’ It was incredible. I never at that time imagined he would be who he is today.”

Before building up the courage to leave Linda, the pianist once tried to asphyxiate himself with a gas oven. Thankfully for all his fans, the kitchen window was wide open, making the attempt unsuccessful.

His ex, Linda, told Mirror in 2019 that she and Taupin “found him lying with his head in the gas oven with the window wide open. At the time he said it was because his music career wasn’t taking off as quickly as he hoped. He was in one of his big depressions.”

Later, John opened up about the experience in a piece for The Guardian, writing, “I really had staged a completely ridiculous suicide bid that involved sticking my head in a gas oven. Rather than tell my fiancée I’d made a mistake, that was my brilliant plan to try and get out of the wedding.”

Taupin wrote about the experience in 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight.' The lyrics reflect John's desperation in that period of time.

“And someone saved my life tonight, sugar bear (sugar bear) / You almost had your hooks in me, didn’t you, dear?” Elton sings on the 1975 track. “You nearly had me roped and tied / Altar-bound, hypnotized, sweet freedom whispered in my ear.”

While Linda doesn't harbor resentment toward her ex, she admitted she was "disappointed" by the lyrics. “It was Bernie that actually wrote the words. Bernie has probably said more negative things than Reg has. I mean, unbelievable things that were said. In some of the songs, I was very hurt."

Tragically, the extreme spike turned deadly, with dozens of heat-related fatalities and drownings reported across France and Spain.

While a series of severe weekend thunderstorms finally broke the heat dome over France today, the chaos has left upcoming summer travelers with a serious sense of dread. If June is already pulling the plug on Europe's most iconic landmarks, it begs the question: Should you call off your July and August trips entirely—and is it officially time to skip the Mediterranean altogether and book a "coolcation" instead?

Before you cancel your flights, here's how to realistically navigate the rest of the summer season safely.

The sudden chaos wasn't a fluke; meteorologists pinned the extreme spike on an "Omega block"—a stubborn weather pattern that essentially traps an intense dome of hot air over a single region for days on end. As temperatures climbed, infrastructure across Europe quickly began to buckle under the strain:

• Widespread Transit and School Closures: The heat physically threatened the rails, forcing the cancellation of roughly one in 10 trains across the Paris region due to tracks warping in the sun. It even disrupted education, with France shuttering 845 schools in a single day at the peak of the spike.
• Museum and Ceremony Blackouts: The disruptions rippled far beyond France. In Italy, 16 cities were placed under maximum heat alerts, and Florence’s world-famous Uffizi Gallery was forced to temporarily halt ticket sales entirely when its air conditioning system failed. Even London had to scale back its iconic Changing of the Guard ceremony after logging its warmest June day on record.

While the heat dome has finally moved along, the sheer scale of the disruptions shows that Europe's peak summer tourism infrastructure isn't fully equipped for the new climate reality.

If you choose to keep your July or August itinerary on the books, you shouldn't approach your trip with a standard high-season checklist. Surviving—and enjoying—a summer trip to Europe now requires a strategic shift in how you plan your days.

• Flip Your Daily Clock: Throw out the traditional 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. sightseeing window. Book the absolute first ticket slots of the morning (typically 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.) for open-air landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. Plan to be entirely out of the sun and indoors—ideally at an air-conditioned museum, a shaded restaurant, or your hotel—by 1:00 p.m.
• Book Directly to Secure Refunds: If a historic landmark is forced into an emergency closure due to a sudden heat spike, third-party ticket resellers can be a nightmare to deal with for compensation. Always book tickets directly through official monument websites (like the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower), which trigger automatic refunds to your card if operations are cut short.
• Monitor Local Transit and "Ozone Zones": Extreme heat routinely buckles rail lines and prompts cities like Paris to enforce emergency speed limits and transit restrictions. Before you leave your hotel, download local transport apps (such as Île-de-France Mobilités) to check for heat-related delays or reroutes before you get stranded on a sweltering platform.
• Map Out an "AC Backup Plan": Many historic European hotels, boutique shops and older restaurants do not have central air conditioning. Map out a few modern, air-conditioned fallback spots—like department stores, contemporary shopping malls, or major cinema chains—near your main attractions so you know exactly where to run if you or your family need an emergency cool-down.
• Invest in "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) Trip Insurance: A standard travel insurance policy usually won't refund you just because it's uncomfortably hot outside. If you are traveling during peak summer heat waves, look specifically into a policy with a "Cancel For Any Reason" upgrade. It gives you the ultimate financial safety net to pull the plug on the trip before you fly out if the forecast looks dangerously hot.
• Listen to Your Body—and Give Yourself Permission to Opt Out: At the end of the day, no monument or bucket-list itinerary is worth risking your health. Extreme, triple-digit heat strains the cardiovascular system much faster than we realize, especially for older adults. If record-breaking temperatures hit during your vacation, give yourself total permission to sit the day out in the hotel AC, skip the tour, or even head home early. Taking care of yourself is always the right call.

Who would have thought a sports romantasy would work? The Winged Game by Sophie Kim offers the perfect balance between all the various genres meshed together, creating a story that is both thrilling and engaging.

This is more than just a sports romantasy. There’s a mystery within the tale, as well as deep character development that creates the need for The Winged Game’s universe to grow with sequels.

The Winged Game starts off with the enemies-to-lovers trope. We immediately find out why Taissa Cho was kicked out of the sport she loved and was making a career in, but it’s clear that there is much more to this story. It’s no wonder Cho turns into a bitter shell of herself, as people focus on her cheating and not the full truth behind it.

Meanwhile, Kion Locke and his team, The Stymphs, are struggling. They have gone from one of the best teams in the Major Leagues of Carriwitchet to the very bottom of the Minor Leagues. Locke is sure that the only way out is to get Cho onto the team, but that brings its own problems. Of course, there are concerns that a “cheater” is joining the team, and there are questions about the two of them in a romantic relationship, leading to the fake dating trope as well.

However, The Winged Game is more than just a slow-burn romance or a story about a team getting back to the top. There’s a mysterious illness affecting all the winged creatures in the story — each team has its own winged creature — and there’s a story of curses and betrayal. Mixed with that, we have the bonding of humans and their winged creatures, bringing up stories of abuse and betrayal and how the love and understanding of one person can help.

Chronos quickly became my favorite character, and the banter between him and Cho made me chuckle a lot. I also loved his offhand remarks, especially about eating his own children, as you could tell that he had to keep up the facade of being a grumpy and dangerous beast the more he warmed up to everyone as they started to treat him better.

Cho and Locke had their own traumatic backstories that suddenly came out, and the Stymphs have a wonderful found-family vibe that has been fractured over time but has its own chance to heal. I would love novellas of each of the team members, as they all have their own trauma and pasts that they’re running from, creating a wealth of storylines to come in the future.

The magical world has also been deeply developed. We get a great understanding of the glyphs that are used, as well as the different types of magical creatures and demigods. It’s another way that The Winged Games can develop into a larger series of books, developing the relationships between the different creatures with another magical mystery that affects others.

In fact, it was the mystery that I felt drawn to. This helped to open the world of magic, allowing us to understand more about curses, the past Witching Wars, the bond and rules with the creatures, and the different magical beings. There is depth to the hatred among different creatures, but there is also understanding and a level of acceptance when it comes to the right personality and attitude toward differences. I could see more mysteries that lead to these different worlds coming together, with the creatures having to cross the bridges of their differences to get to the bottom of things.

I also found myself rooting for the slow-burn romance — which transformed at the perfect spot for a slow-burn — but didn’t quite find it as a true enemies-to-lovers. It’s clear that while they were “enemies,” there was something more to that tale, and I’d love to get a little more of that backstory. Sometimes, there were hints of where the “enemies” part started, but it wasn’t quite enough to understand the buildup to Kion turning Cho in for “cheating.”

One thing The Winged Game does highlight is the fickle nature of sports supporters and social media followers. As so many turn against Cho when they think they know the truth, they’re quick to uncancel her when they find out the realities of the story. Nothing is done or said to address this among the team, and I think it’s a small downside. Not enough to wipe out any stars, because that isn’t the true tale of the book, but I would love to see a discussion about it.

The Winged Game is perfect for those who want Fourth Wing but with sports and mystery. It’s great for Harry Potter fans who love the Quidditch parts of the story, and it’s a must for those who are ready to mix sports romance with fantasy. This is easily a 5-star read!

Best-selling author Monica Murphy's hit dark academia romance has officially made the leap from BookTok sensation to the screen.

Blending rich chocolate, smooth caramel and nutty toffee together into one simply sensational combination, the new treat uses a decadent brownie base filled with chocolate chips, crushed Heath Bar pieces, a Heath Bar streusel, along with a healthy layer of chocolate ganache, salted caramel and a mix of Hershey's milk chocolate and white creme cheesecake.

A cheesecake too sweet to ignore, the new dessert officially lands at Cheesecake Factory locations across the country on July 30.

Of course, given its overstuffed description and its eye-catching design, it should hardly come as a surprise that the Brownie Crunch Choc-A-Lot Cheesecake has earned quite a response among social media users.

Above all else, many fans on Instagram shared their personal excitement to try the new cheesecake, calling for an impromptu "cheat day" to make for the chocolate-centric new dessert.

"The PERFECT slice of cheesecake!!" one fan wrote in the post's comments section. "How come you didn't think of this before??"

"I haven't even tried it yet and it's already calling my name," echoed a second user.

"Wow, this is what I dream of," added a third.

As part of the cheesecake's new addition to Cheesecake Factory's menu, the restaurant will also be partnering with Feeding America, donating 25 cents of every slice served to combating nationwide hunger.

Changes for the Chmerkovskiys keep coming.

In an announcement shared to Instagram on Monday, former Dancing with the Stars pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd shared that they've moved to Florida.

"We did it… we moved to Florida," they announced in a fun video that first looked like a cheeky pregnancy announcement. "Leaving behind the place we’d called home for so many years wasn’t easy, but sometimes the biggest leaps lead you exactly where you’re meant to be."

While it's unclear when the family of five actually relocated from where they were living in Los Angeles, the post's caption alluded to the fact that they've been settling in.

"The happiness, the slower pace, the sunshine, watching our boys love every second of it… it’s everything we hoped for and more," they wrote in their joint post. "Worth every box. Every goodbye. Every unknown."

"No looking back… only looking forward," they concluded.

While tons of followers congratulated them on their new chapter, their fellow former DWTSpro and Murgatroyd's podcast co-host Sharna Burgess also showed her support.

"Love you miss you and I love this for you and the fam," she wrote. "It looks good on you babe, coming to visit soon!"

Other former contestants from the ballroom dance competition show including Candace Cameron Bure,Rumer Willis, and Teresa Giudice also sent their well wishes.

Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd joined DWTS in Season 2 and Season 12, respectively. They tied the knot 2017 and are parents to Shai, 9, Rio, 3, and Milan, who will be two in July.

Chmerkovskiy, who won the Mirrorball Trophy with his Season 18 partner Meryl Davis, left the show after Season 25. Murgatroyd, who won twice with Donald Driver and Nyle DiMarco left after Season 32.

Murgatroyd has gone on to host a podcast with Burgess entitled, Penthouse with Peta.

The dancers' announcement comes just after Chmerkovskiy's brother, and DWTS pro, Val announced that he and his wife, also a DWTS staple, Jenna Johnson, just bought a house.

FollowingJimi Hendrix's death at age 27 in 1970, his first posthumous album introduced fans to "Angel," a poignant ballad he had begun writing years earlier. Released in 1971, the song went on to become one of Hendrix's most beloved recordings, earning acclaim as a standout in his catalog and a lasting classic.

"Angel" was released on the posthumous album The Cry For Love, and was one of the ten selected by drummer Mitch Mitchell and Eddie Kramer. That same month, it was released as a single in the U.K., and as the B-side to "Freedom" in the U.S. While having not enter the charts independently, "Angel" did land at No. 59 on the Billboard Hot 100 as a B-side track.

The ballad was originally worked on by Hendrix years before it was released with Mitchell in 1967, while also working on the track "Little Wing." Hendrix would finish penning the lyrics a year later, but wouldn't fully finish the track for two years and shelved it. It wasn't until 1970, when Hendrix, Mitchell, and bassist Billy Cox were working on his fourth studio album, that they reintroduced "Angel."

Hendrix has always been known as a "dreamer," taking inspiration from the real world and from his own dreams. The title of "Angel" was inspired by a dream he had as a child about his mother, Lucille. Sadly, she passed away when Hendrix was in his teen years, and only fueled the emotion behind the ballad.

“My mother was bein’ carried away on this camel. And there was a big caravan, she’s sayin’, ‘Well, I’m gonna see you now,’ and she’s goin’ under these trees, you could see the shade, you know, the leaf patterns across her face when she was goin’ under … She’s sayin’, ‘Well, I won’t be seein’ you too much anymore, you know. I’ll see you,'" recalled Hendrix about the dream in an interview with Meatball Fulton in 1967.

"And then about two years after that, she dies, you know. And I said, ‘Yeah, but where are you goin’?’ and all that, you know. I remember that. I will always remember that. I never did forget … there are some dreams you never forget."

The track became one of Hendrix's standout creations that gained further significance after his death. "Angel" has since been included in many compilation albums of Hendrix's biggest hits and covered by other artists. Rod Stewartcovered the track on his 1972 album Never a Dull Moment, with Jeff Healey having recorded his own version in 1995.

Captain Christopher Pike has always known roughly when his story ends. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds was built around that fact, a prequel series whose central character carries the plot of a future episode of the original series. Season 4, premiering July 23 on Paramount+, is the second-to-last chapter of that story.

Season 4 runs 10 episodes, dropping weekly through a September 24 finale. A fifth and final season has already been ordered, a shortened six-episode run, expected in 2027, designed to bridge the series directly into the events of Star Trek: The Original Series. Showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers convinced Paramount to extend the show beyond its originally planned four-season run specifically to give the ending room to breathe. What fans will get in Season 4 is the penultimate chapter of a series that has spent three years threading the needle between prequel obligations and its own identity.

The returning cast is intact. Anson Mount leads as Pike, with Ethan Peck as Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, and Paul Wesley returning as a young James T. Kirk. At CCXP Mexico in April, Romijn told the crowd: "We're so proud of this show, and we're really proud of season four...and season five. We really think it's our best season yet." The Season 4 trailer, released June 15, suggests a tone that pulls back toward classic episodic Trek wsith standalone adventures and new worlds, while still including the show's signature tonal swings. Among them are an episode involving cowboys, a black hole, and what appears to be a dinosaur. A previously announced episode filmed with Jim Henson's Creature Shop, in which the crew is transformed into Muppet-style puppets, is also part of the season.

Strange New Worlds launched in 2022 as a spinoff of Star Trek: Discovery and has run counter to the streaming-era trend toward serialized, mythology-heavy storytelling. Its return to weekly episode-by-episode releases and planet-of-the-week structure (the format that defined Trek from 1966 through Enterprise) earned it a fanbase that had grown impatient with Discovery's approach. Season 4 arrives as part of Star Trek's 60th anniversary year, a milestone the franchise is marking with limited merchandise and archival releases, though no new series is currently in active production.

Strange New Worlds is, for now, the last Star Trek television series. Whatever Season 5 delivers in its six episodes will be the final word from Starfleet on the small screen for the foreseeable future.

Elvis Presley delivered countless unforgettable television performances throughout his career, but one of his most talked-about appearances involved an audience member with four legs.

On July 1, 1956, the future King of Rock 'n' Roll took the stage on The Steve Allen Show to perform his chart-topping hit "Hound Dog." Instead of singing to screaming fans, however, Presley was instructed to serenade an actual basset hound wearing a tuxedo.

The unusual moment wasn't Presley's idea.

Just days earlier, on June 29, 1956, Presley rehearsed for the now-infamous television appearance, unaware that it would become one of the most unusual performances of his career.

At the time, Elvis had become a national sensation thanks to his energetic performances and signature hip movements, which had already sparked criticism from some parents and television viewers. After his appearances on The Milton Berle Show drew complaints about his dancing, television host Steve Allen decided to poke fun at the controversy.

Rather than allowing Presley to perform as he normally would, Allen introduced a comedy bit that had the singer dressed in a tuxedo and bow tie while crooning "Hound Dog" directly to the patient basset hound.

The audience laughed throughout the performance, but Presley remained committed to the bit, smiling as he finished the song before giving the dog an affectionate pat on the head.

Although the sketch has since become one of the most memorable moments of early television history, Presley wasn't especially fond of it. According to several biographies and interviews over the years, he felt the segment was designed to make him look foolish at the height of his rising fame.

Ironically, the attempted satire did little to slow him down.

Just a few months later, Presley made his first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, where an estimated 60 million viewers tuned in to watch him perform. While CBS famously limited camera shots to his upper body during later appearances to avoid showing his dancing, his popularity only continued to soar.

Today, the image of Presley singing "Hound Dog" to a tuxedo-clad basset hound remains one of the most recognizable and unusual moments of his early career.

As soon as S.W.A.T. Exiles landed a Canadian home, it was clear that the U.S. streamers would start to consider it. Sure enough, the series has finally found a U.S. home, and it’s coming earlier than expected.

The S.W.A.T. spinoff will stream on the premium cable network STARZ. That means it will get a weekly release, airing both on the channel and then on the streaming platform. The news follows CTV and Crave landing a deal for Canadian viewers.

On top of that, Matt Webb Mitvoch confirmed a premiere date. The series will premiere on September 25, 2026. Don’t worry too much about that being a Friday. While we view Fridays as a death slot on broadcast, the streamers and premium cable networks have found that this day of the week does well. STARZ has had success with the likes of Outlander and Power on Friday nights.

This is earlier than the Canadians will get to watch the show, which was to be expected. As soon as the Canadian home was announced, the pressure was on to find a U.S. home for a U.S.-based series. As of now, there isn’t a confirmed release date for Canadians, but it will arrive sometime in early 2027.

It’s been a long time coming, as S.W.A.T Exiles was announced straight after the cancellation and final episode of the main series. Shemar Moore will reprise his role as Hondo, who in this series has been forced out of the agency and into retirement. However, as newer recruits are struggling to live up to expectations, Hondo is asked to return to train them.

The entire 10-episode series was filmed without a home. Sony Pictures Television focused on creating the show to keep the jobs of the hundreds of crew workers on S.W.A.T. after it was canceled by CBS in May 2025. While there was controversy over the announcement of the spinoff, especially when it came to the current S.W.A.T. cast members, the team remained focused on production.

As well as Moore, Jay Harrington and Patrick St. Esprit will reprise their roles as Deacon and Commander Hicks. It’s not clear how many episodes or in what capacity they will return in, but it will be at least one episode. Lucy Barrett, Adain Bradley, Ronen Rubinstein, Freddy Miyares, and Zyra Gorecki are series regulars on the new series.

Rowling found an agent a year later, and the book was published on June 26, 1997. Rowling used the initials J.K. at the publisher's request to make the book more appealing to boys. One year later, it was released in the U.S.

That first edition captivated readers worldwide. The series of novels went on to inspire a blockbuster film franchise, theme park attractions, stage productions, and a devoted global fan base. According to Britannica, Rowling's first novel was translated into 60 languages, helping Harry Potter's story reach readers across the globe.

Kin Shiner took to social media to share a rare throwback photo from his early years on General Hospital.

Shriner shared a photo of himself with Richard Dean Anderson (Ex-Jeff Webber) and Susan Pratt (Ex-Anne Logan).

Shriner joined the cast of General Hospital in 1977 as Scotty Baldwin. The character joined the series in 1965, and Shriner’s portrayal made the character more adult.

During his time on the show, Scotty’s popularity skyrocketed, especially with his relationship with Laura Webber (Genie Francis) and his adversarial relationship with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary).

Over the years, Scotty has come and gone from the series multiple times. His first exit occurred in 1980, with his next significant run occurring between 1987 and 1993. Scotty crossed over to the General Hospital spinoff Port Charles in 1997 and remained with the series until 2001, when he returned to the main series.

Shriner last appeared on General Hospital in August 2024; since then, fans have called for his triumphant return. Now, many speculate that the return could be closer than ever, as Scotty’s daughter, Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger), will be returning to Port Charles, opening the door for Scotty to once again return to the show.

Fans took to the comment section of Shriner’s post to share their thoughts on the throwback photo.

One user reflected on Pratt’s role on the show, sharing, “I really felt Anne got the short end of the stick with Jeff. She took a lot from him and got nothing in return. I can’t remember if she found love after leaving Port Charles. But I hope so because she was done dirty.”

A second user added, “Two solid actors. He obviously went on to super fame in primetime. I watched General Hospital, All My Children, and Guiding Light.  Memorable characterizations every time.”

KFC has boasted many items endorsed by the restaurant's original founder, Colonel Sanders.

As much as the legendary spokesperson for the famous fast food brand loved KFC's famous fried chicken, however, the good colonel didn't mince words when it came to criticizing one item he famously despised.

According to Fox News, Sanders once revealed to the Courier-Journal of Louisville, Kentucky that he couldn't stand KFC's gravy.

"My God, that gravy is horrible," Sanders bluntly said.

In his assessment, Sanders likened the famous brown gravy served at the fast food empire to "wallpaper paste," saying that he was surprised KFC even sold it in the first place.

"They buy tap water for 15 to 20 cents [per] 1,000 gallons, and then they mix it with flour and starch and end up with pure wallpaper paste," Sanders said.

"There's no nutrition in it, and they ought not to be allowed to sell it," the restaurant founder continued.

The colonel's complaints came in 1978, roughly 15 years after Sanders sold KFC to a group of investors. As more and more franchises opened across the nation, Sanders remained onboard as the brand's public face, even as he expressed continued reservations about some of the chain's new menu additions.

Nowadays, KFC's gravy has become something of a staple associated with the iconic fast food franchise. An ideal side dish perfect for mashed potatoes and the brand's signature fried chicken, many fans view it as the ultimate comfort food on KFC's menu.

In spite of its favored status among longtime fans of the brand, however, Sanders maintained his avid dislike for the brand's gravy throughout his life.

Danny Bonaduce found several pieces of his Partridge Family past during a recent outing to a flea market in California. 

On June 28, the former Partridge Family star posted a series of Instagram photos and videos as he perused through items for sale at an outdoor market in Rancho Cucamonga.

In a video clip, Bonaduce, 66, came across a copy of the classic Partridge Family album, Up to Date. The cover featured Bonaduce and his co-stars—Shirley Jones, David Cassidy, Susan Dey, Suzanne Crough and short-timer Jeremy Gelbwaks—posing with their birthdates listed by their photos. The hit album featured the pop singles “Doesn’t Somebody Want to Be Wanted” and 'I’ll Meet You Halfway,” and it was released at the height of the ABCsitcom’s popularity in 1971.

Bonaduce ultimately shared a photo of himself holding two copies of the vintage vinyl, as well as a copy of the made-for-TV band’s final studio album, The Partridge Family Crossword Puzzle, which was released in 1973, just one year before the series ended its four-season run.

“Who knew I was so popular in Rancho Cucamonga?” the actor captioned the post.

Fans reacted in the comment section, with several telling Bonaduce they knew The Partridge Family was still a thing.

“I still have that album,” one fan wrote.

“That’s a great album. I still listen often,” another agreed.

“Did that guy even know who he was standing beside?” another fan asked The Partridge Family star.

“I would have fainted lol ❤️” another fan chimed in.

The post was also "liked" by Rick Segall, the former child star who appeared in the final season of The Partridge Family as pint-sized singing neighbor boy, Ricky Stevens.

While Bonaduce was pictured on The Partridge Family album covers and “played” bass with the band on the TV show, the only real members of the group were Cassidy and Jones. The rest of the music and backup vocals were performed by session musicians.

Still, during a 2026 interview with Pop Culture Retro, Bonaduce recalled putting his all into his fake music playing—from the very first episode of the series.

“We're playing, 'I Think I Love You,' our first and only number one hit,” he shared of the 1970 Partridge Family pilot. “In the middle of the song or at the end of the song, David Cassidy turns to me, a 10-year-old Danny Bonaduce, and looks at me and says, 'You don't strum a bass guitar, you pluck it. Do you think you can pluck it, kid?'"

That’s when guest star Johnny Cash stepped in and told Bonaduce he was doing just “fine.”

Fifty years after The Partridge Family ended, Bonaduce shared an Instagram reel of himself playing guitar and singing at the California music venue Pappy & Harriets. “Just a couple more lessons and I’ll be playing a happy hour near you,” The Partridge Family alum teased.

All jokes aside, the "SexyBack" singer, 45, also trains with Ben Bruno, as E! News points out. Pinned to the top of the trainer’s Instagram page is a video of Timberlake doing his own intense workout from a couple years back.

"Check out @justintimberlake casually crushing 10 L-sit ring chin-ups with a weight vest on and a medicine ball between his feet," reads the caption of Bruno's post from 2024. "This is a very, very impressive display of core and upper body strength. Go try it for yourself to see just how difficult this is. He’s been working super hard to get his body right for his upcoming world tour next month, and as a trainer it’s very cool to see a guy in Justin’s position in life pushing himself like this in the gym."
