Jason Segel Recalls 'Meaningful Moment' He Shared With Michael J. Fox On 'Shrinking' Set
Having Michael J. Foxon the set of Shrinking was somewhat of a full circle moment for the show's star and creator Jason. Segel.
Chatting onJimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, Segel shared how he credited the 'Back to the Future' star for motivating him as a young actor and writer.
"There was a moment in my early-to-mid 20s when I was doing How I Met Your Motherand 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' at the same time and 'The Muppets' around the same time, too, and I wrote both of those movies, and I was tired, I was like, 'I'm going to collapse under the weight of this,'" he recalled. "We literally used to say to each other, our little group, 'If Michael J. Fox could do it, we could do it,' because he was doing 'Back to the Future' and Family Ties at the same time."
"I got a chance to tell him that when he was on Shrinking," Segel shared. "It was a really meaningful moment to me to say 'I think part of why I'm here is because of the bar you set.'"
Shrinking, which airs on Apple TV, follows the personal lives of therapists and their intertwining friend group. The show also stars Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams. Ford's character Paul, who is diagnosed with Parkinson's finds a friend in Fox's character, Jerry, who also has the illness on the show, as the two strike up conversation in their doctor's waiting room.
While Fox's character has striking similarities to his real life, in which he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in the 1990s and raised millions of dollars in research for the disease, hetold Shrinking showrunner, Bill Lawrence that he'd only join the cast if he able to play "some dude."

“He said, ‘I don’t care what I do as long as I’m playing just a guy,’” Lawrence shared. “He was like, ‘I don’t want to play Mike Fox with Parkinson’s. I just want to play some dude.”
Relating to Segel's struggles of working on multiple projects, Fox also spoke about the pressures of starring in both 'Back to the Future' and Family Ties in his latest book, '‘Future Boy: Back to the Future and My Journey Through the Space-Time Continuum' where he said he "was Alex P. Keaton during the day and Marty McFly at night.”
The season finale of Shrinking airs this Wednesday on Apple TV.

NYC’s Highest Sky Deck Is Turning Into a 1,100-Foot 'Kaleidoscopic' Immersive Experience
If you’re planning a trip to New York City, you probably have the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock on your list. But if you want the experience that actually feels like you’re stepping out into the sky, you need to head to Hudson Yards for Edge.
Think of Hudson Yards as the city’s newest, shiniest neighborhood on the West Side. It’s home to Edge, which is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere. What makes it different from the classic spots is its "floating" design—it’s a massive triangular platform that juts 80 feet out into mid-air from the 100th floor.
Today, Edge announced that it's evolving into something much more than a viewing platform. Starting in Summer 2026, the entire journey from the street to the sky is being transformed by world-class design studios like Moment Factory and SOFTlab into a permanent, multi-sensory world of light and motion.
Here is why this is about to become the most talked-about spot in the city:

A 1,100-Foot Journey Through Light and ColorSoftLab NYC
Edge is ditching the standard elevator ride for a "kaleidoscopic" experience. As you ascend 1,100 feet, you’ll walk through interactive indoor environments that actually change based on the sun’s position and the time of year.
Andrew Lustgarten, Executive Chairman of Hudson Yards Experiences, says the goal is to make you feel the heartbeat of the city before you even see the view. "Situatued 1,100 feet above one of the greatest cities on earth, Edge at Hudson Yards will transform what it means to be a New York City landmark," Lustgarten says. "The new Edge is driven by immersive design, emotional storytelling and our desire to create experiences that people want to share and return to again and again."
Three New "Viral" Indoor SpacesSoftLab NYC
The indoor portion of the 100th floor will now feature three anchor installations that are designed to be "worlds within worlds":
- Pulse: A room of pulsing electric color and sound that captures the city’s energy.
- Crystal Cave: A walk-through rainbow of translucent jewels. Lustgarten says, “The way the light refracts and shines in the space, against the stunning backdrop of Manhattan, makes me fall in love with New York City over and over again.”
- Infinite City: A forest of glowing "skyscrapers" that reflect and fragment the actual skyline around you.
SoftLab NYC
Of course, the main event is still the outdoor sky deck. There’s a section with a glass floor where you can stand 100 stories directly above the street, and angled glass walls that let you literally lean out over Manhattan.
If you’re looking for a night out, the Marquee Skydeck returns as a permanent fixture on May 1, bringing global DJs like Benny Benassi to the 100th floor. Lustgarten notes that the new indoor art will make the party even better: “That space will serve as an incredible backdrop for when we have DJ sets at Marquee Skydeck that are located inside.”
The 2026 Logistics- Price: General Admission tickets start at $40 (plus a $2 fee) if you book online. You can save up to 35% if you book at least 14 days in advance.
- Where to Buy: Secure your spot at edgenyc.com.
The Vibe: It’s sleek, futuristic, and feels like "New New York." If you want the one photo that will make everyone back home jealous, this is the spot.

Popular Music Festival Forced to Cancel After Controversial Headliner Banned From UK
The Wireless Festival has been canceled after Kanye West was blocked from entering Britain. The controversial rapper was announced as the headliner for all three nights of the annual London event, leading to an uproar as government officials denounced him and sponsors began backing out.
The Wireless Festival's official Instagram has scrubbed all previous posts promoting the July shows and now has one singular post with a statement about the now-canceled festival.
"As a result of the Home Office banning YE from entering the United Kingdom, Wireless Festival has been forced to cancel. All ticket holders will receive an automatic full refund," the message said. The caption repeated the message.
View this post on InstagramThis latest move comes after Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the booking "deeply disturbing."
London Mayor Sadiq Khan also weighed in, distancing City Hall from the decision to book West, saying "We are clear that the past comments and actions of this artist are offensive and wrong, and are simply not reflective of London’s values."
On Sunday, Apr. 5, Pepsi, which had been a sponsor of the festival since 2015, backed out without clarifying West's booking as the reason. Their statement simply read, "Pepsi has decided to withdraw its sponsorship of Wireless Festival."
Hours later, Diageo, which owns Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Captain Morgan, and more, also backed out as a sponsor. The following day, Rockster Energy and PayPal followed suit.
On Tuesday, Apr. 7, BBC reported that West would not be traveling to the UK due to Home Office banning him from entering the country. The controversial rapper applied via Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) on Monday, and a decision was made to deny him, ultimately leading to the cancellation.
With no headliner and multiple sponsors dropping out, Wireless has had to cancel the festival. How did it come to this?

Campaign Against Antisemitism has issued a statement, which they shared on X. In it, they wrote, "With no headliner and multiple sponsors dropping out, Wireless has had to cancel the festival. How did it come to this? Apparently 'no concerns were highlighted' about Kanye West at the time of the booking."
The statement continued, "That’s what happens when the only stakeholders you consult are those who stand to make a profit. It’s nice that now Wireless is saying 'Antisemitism in all its forms is abhorrent' when just a few hours ago the festival promoter was saying we all need to forgive Kanye for declaring himself a full-blown Nazi only recently. There are plenty of musicians in the world who could have headlined this festival and brought delight to thousands of fans. Maybe next time organisers should look beyond Nuremberg to fill their roster."
‘The Boys’ Boss Eric Kripke Reveals How the Final Season Will 'Blow the Doors Off' (Exclusive)
Fans of The Boys know the series has never pulled its punches. But as it heads into its fifth and final season, the conversation around it feels as sharp as ever. With its biting take on power, celebrity and authority figures, the show has increasingly blurred the line between satire and reality — something that hasn’t gone unnoticed as it approaches its end.
Ahead of the final season, which premieres with its first two episodes on April 8, showrunner Eric Kripke spoke exclusively with Parade about how much of the series is meant to reflect the world around us, how the final season came into focus and what fans can expect as the story builds toward its conclusion. Kripke also shares what he hopes audiences take away from the finale, both about The Boys itself and the larger world it’s been skewering from the start.
How much of this series is a commentary on the state of the world now?
I think The Boys is a fun house mirror reflection of a lot that's going on in the world, and not just in the States, I think all over the world. And we're trying to, with humor and satire, we're trying to point out things in the world that we find completely absurd. And it's just superheroes are a really good metaphor because there's a part of them that are celebrities and there's a part of them that are dictators.
[Executive producer]Seth Rogen can't destroy a city, but our superheroes can. And so I think that combination of really caring about your public image, but doing really destructive things behind the scenes is something that happens a lot among authority figures in our world these days.
Will we see any big cameos in the final season? Did you want to try to bring as many characters back as you could, as other final seasons have done?
I think you can expect the return of a lot of fan favorite characters. I think we have a lot of other surprises up our sleeve. It's the final season, so we want to blow the doors off it. We want to tie up as many loose ends as we can. We want to bring as many things full circle as we can. So hopefully people dig it.
Did you always know how The Boys would end, or did that final vision evolve as the show took on a life of its own?
Any showrunner who tells you they have this complicated map of what gets them all the way through to the end of the series, they're lying. They don't. They just want to look cool and smart. I had a sense. I mean, I had a comic book, a brilliant one written by Garth Ennis, that already gave me a certain foundation. And the subject matter is really about this battle between this human Billy Butcher and this superhero Homelander. And it was sort of inevitable that eventually they were going to smash into each other. So, for example, I always knew it was going to end with that. Had I not given that to the audience, I think I really would've pissed everybody off.
So I think I always knew we were building towards Homelander getting crazier and crazier, Butcher getting darker and darker, and then eventually those two smash into each other. So I knew about that. Heading into Season 5, we were much more specific of — and when I say "we," [I mean] the writers. The thing the writers knew the most clearly was about the last 15 pages of the script of the final episode. We knew where everyone ended up. We knew who lived and who died and what their endings were, whether it was happy or not. And so then a lot of Season 5 was just working backwards and figuring out how to build to that.
When fans finish the final episode, what do you hope they’re thinking or feeling about the show and maybe even the real world?
Well, in terms of the show, I hope they're thinking, "Hey, it turns out this show didn't suck." This is what I'm really hoping. I mean, finales are really hard, and people will retroactively judge a show based on how they feel about a finale. So I'm just hoping that they say, "That finale didn't make me hate the show. That finale at the very least makes me feel the same I've always felt about the show." It'd be a bonus if it made you feel better about the show, but I'll take "I like it as much as I've always liked it." I'll be happy without harming the legacy of the show. That's my main goal.
In terms of the world, which is a slightly more serious answer, I hope people come out of it with just a healthy distrust of authority. I think people need to question more and throw a few more spitballs from the back of the class and not take authority figures at their word. Because if the show has any message, it's that anyone who stands in front of you and says they're the only ones who can save you, they're trying to sell you something and they don't have your best interests at heart. No one's coming to save you, so we all have to get to work saving each other and being kind to each other. And if the show has any message, it has that one.

Social Security Has a Major Warning for All Retirees That Could Cost Them Big Time if Ignored
Those receiving Social Security benefits will want to pay extra close attention to the next time they receive a message claiming to be from the Social Security Administration (SSA). That's because the agency says it is seeing a marked increase in scams sent to seniors via email and text messages.
Not only are phishing scams on the rise, but the SSA warns that scammers are getting more info about unsuspecting seniors who aren't aware that they are being taken for a ride. Here's what you need to know about the new warning.
The Social Security Administration Says Scammers Are Stealing Your InfoThe SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) sent out a warning earlier this year about an increase in scammers preying on Social Security recipients. According to the OIG's statement, there has been a "significant increase" in these scams, which are being sent directly to people's inboxes. The emails claim to offer recipients access to their Social Security statement. Once you begin clicking links in emails, criminals can gain access to your data, leading to identity theft and financial loss.
“We are seeing a sharp increase in fraudulent emails designed to look like official Social Security Administration communications,” said Michelle L. Anderson, Assistant Inspector General for Audit, as First Assistant said in the statement. “These messages are not from Social Security. Anyone who receives one should delete it immediately and report it.”
Related: These Are the 3 Worst-Ranked Florida Cities to Retire In
How to Avoid Social Security Email ScamsIf you're worried about your information being compromised due to a scammer, you can protect yourself by taking a few extra precautions whenever you receive an email, according to the OIG. This includes:
- Accessing your Social Security information directly at ssa.gov/myaccount instead of clicking on any links provided to you in an email
- Skipping any embedded links or attachments that claim to be documents or statements
- Don't fall for messages that claim a level of urgency or that ask you to act immediately
- Avoid opening emails claiming to be from the SSA that don't have ".gov" email addresses
- Never respond to or give personal information through a suspicious email

What Should You Do if You Think You've Been ScammedListen, mistakes can happen, and you shouldn't beat yourself up if you fall victim to one of these scams. Instead, the OIG says you should act fast and take immediate action by contacting your financial institutions to change your passwords or freeze your accounts.
You should also report any suspected scammers to the SSA OIG at oig.ssa.gov/report and file complaints with the FBI and Federal Trade Commission at ic3.gov and ftc.gov, respectively. Lastly, if you have experienced a financial loss due to one of these scams, don't be embarrassed. Instead, you'll need to reach out to your local law enforcement to see what, if anything, can be done to help you recoup your losses.
Remember, in situations like this, it's the bad guys who are at fault, so don't let shame or embarrassment keep you from getting help!
IKEA Launches New Menu Item Across Store Restaurants Nationwide
IKEA is adding a new item to U.S.-based menus this month.
The furniture and home goods company, founded in Sweden, is continuing its efforts to provide "more sustainable alternatives to meat-based food options."
The launch of the fish ball comes on the heels of its previous menu addition, the falafel ball, which officially debuted in stores in early January.
The fish ball will be available in IKEA U.S. restaurants to celebrate Earth Month, beginning on Earth Day on April 22.
Made with haddock, customers ordering the new dish will also be served mashed potatoes, green peas, lemon dill sauce, lingonberry jam and a lemon wedge.
An 8‑piece meal will start at $6.99, as IKEA prides itself in "offering customers an affordable and responsibly sourced seafood choice."
IKEA
“At IKEA U.S., we believe that taking collective and consistent actions can create meaningful change for our planet,” said Mardi Ditze, Country Sustainability Manager at IKEA U.S. “Whether it’s choosing a plant-based meal, repairing a piece of furniture using our free Spare Parts Service, or shopping second-chance items in the As-is section, we aim to make it easier for the many to take simple steps that add up to a better everyday life and a more sustainable future.”
The website notes that all "all wild‑caught fish and shrimp served and sold at IKEA come from fisheries independently certified to Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standards, helping to support healthier oceans, protect marine ecosystems and secure seafood supplies for generations to come."
On April 24 and 25, select IKEA stores will offer free samples of the fish ball to customers.
According to the press release shared with Parade, the fish ball debut at IKEA supports the company's "ongoing efforts to create more sustainable and resilient food systems and is part of the brand’s broader Earth Month initiatives," which includes saving on circular services for IKEA Family Members, Tiny Chef in store experiences like a family-friendly scavenger hunt in participating stores nationwide and the American Red Cross donation match, where IKEA will match every dollar donated at checkout, up to $50,000, to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
You can get more information right here.
As Parade previously reported, the retailer has worked to diversify its menu, shifting toward more vegetarian options to align with the growing demand for meat-free choices.
The Falafel Ball is made with chickpeas, zucchini, onions, and spices, offering a crispy crunch on the outside and a tender bite within, served on a platter with couscous, aioli, and a lemon wedge.
Additionally, IKEA already serves several vegan-friendly options, including the Veggie and Plant dogs and meatballs.
Everyone knows half the fun of shopping at IKEA is stopping by the food court for a mid-shopping spree bite, so be sure to try all the new options available.

Popular State May Lower the Retirement Age to 55—but There’s a Catch
If you've longed to hang up your work boots and travel the world when you retire, you could be able to do so even sooner than expected if you live in one northeastern state. That's because rumor has it that the governor is considering lowering the retirement age for some residents, which could be a boon for public-sector workers.
Of course, nothing is set in stone yet, so the idea may amount to nothing more than wishful thinking. But still, if you live in this state, you're going to want to pay extra close attention to what happens when the governor submits her upcoming budget package. Keep reading to find out what I mean.
New York May Lower Retirement Age to 55An estimated 20 million people live in the Empire State. And, if you're one of those millions of people calling New York home, you may be excited to know that the New York Post is reporting that Governor Kathy Hochul has been talking with New York AFL-CIO union leaders about lowering the retirement age for certain public sector employees. That means some of the 2.5 million people who belong to that union could retire at 55 instead of 62.
According to the Post, the deal would apply to those hired as Tier 6 employees after 2012, and would include:
- Teachers
- Nurses
- Other public sector union workers
This decision will likely make it easier to recruit and retain employees in the public sector, especially those who see a lower retirement age as a massive perk in a state with a notoriously high cost of living.
Related: This State Was Just Named the Worst Place To Retire in the U.S.
Lowering the Retirement Age Will Come at a CostAccording to The City, former Governor Andrew Cuomo made changes to the state's retirement package in 2012, lowering pension benefits for future employees and raising the retirement age to 63 in an effort to save the state $80 billion over 30 years.
Now, Hochul's plan would once again lower the retirement age for Tier 6 workers, costing taxpayers an estimated $1.5 billion. However, it is worth noting that the decision to lower the retirement age would be a rollback to the standard before Cuomo's 2012 change, putting new and older employees back on the same retirement timeline.

The campaign for change, which goes by the catchy name "Fix Tier 6," could appear in the state's upcoming budget package, when it is more likely to draw public comment from Hochul and other legislators pushing for the new retirement age. Of course, whether it actually passes will be another thing altogether, but even seeing the idea floated as a light at the end of a tunnel for New York workers hoping to get a jump start on their golden years.
6 Books Releasing This Week You Can’t Afford To Sleep On
With so many books released each month, it’s easy to end up overlooking some excellent choices. This week is no different, with something for all interests coming out. Whether you want romance, sci-fi, or something in between, there is an exciting release that you may end up sleeping on.
Not sure where to start when it comes to the new releases on April 7, 2026? I’ve got your back with these six that you need to start with.
Candlewick Press
‘Piper at the Gates of Dusk’ by Patrick NessThis one made my list of books coming in April overall, and it is one of the first novels coming out in the month. Piper at the Gates of Dusk by Patrick Ness is a story of survival and a willingness to fight. It’s also a story of how two different ideas can work out, with lead characters Max and Ben having their own ideas about how to save their world from a mysterious sickness and a mysterious object in the sky.
It’s also perfect for those who loved the Chaos Walking stories. Piper at the Gates of Dusk continues that story decades later, as we already met Ben and Max in that tale. They are the children of Viola and Todd! While there are many who naturally worry that a spin-off will ruin the original tale, this one definitely doesn’t.
There’s a chance to grow with Todd and Viola through Max and Ben’s words. Some of the moments between Todd and Max are beautifully peaceful and quiet that it will make you wish you were there. Then there are the mysteries and the twists that come with Ness’ exquisite writing. This is a sci-if you need to read.
Simon & Schuster
‘Inheritance’ by Jane ParkSometimes, you need a story that is human and raw, and that’s exactly what Inheritance by Jane Park offers. The story follows a New York lawyer, who is of Korean decent and grew up in Canada. Little does she know, but her father had some skeletons in his closet, and they come out after his death.
Ann Kim learns that her father had a brother who was left behind in North Korea. As she reads through letters, she is taken back to her life growing up, in a small town with immigrant parents who faced hardships nobody should have to.
This story brings one of sacrifice. It tells the tale of the immigrant life, which includes the real trauma that is experienced in the upbringing. When you want to understand more of what that upbringing is like, Inheritance is a must.
Penguin Random House
‘Revenge Prey’ by John SanfordCalling all John Sandford fans, did you know he had a new novel coming out? Also released on April 7, Revenge Prey is another Lucas Davenport novel that is perfect for those who need a little espionage in their life.
This novel follows Leonard Summers — not that that is his real name — as he defects from the Russians and spends a year held up in a CIA facility near Washington. When he and his family are finally put into the Witness Protection Program, things take a turn, as the Russian hit the WPP team. Now Lucas, who is part of the detail, needs to find out where the leak is coming from, as that’s the only way the team was hit.
This novel brings more development for Lucas’s character, which is always a great sign of excellent writing. It’s also a tale that will speak volumes with today’s constant news reports and concerns. At the end of the day, Sandford has the ability to create captivating thrillers, and Revenge Prey is another one.
Penguin Random House
‘Yesteryear’ by Caro Claire BurkeFor those who want some time travel and a story of a woman finding herself completely out of place, Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke is the next release this week to put on your list. It was one of the most highly anticipated fictional releases of the month, and for good reason.
Natalie is what many would consider a “tradwife,” and she’s happy with everything. She has her own YouTube and social media influence, showing women the way of her world. Her life is perfect, until it isn’t. One morning, she wakes up in a time that isn’t her own. Her family looks like hers, but they’re shells of the people she really knows, and now she has to figure out what’s happened.
While Natalie is insufferable at first, it’s worth reading to see how she learns the true nature of being a traditional wife and being happy. The satirical and dark comedic story will make you think carefully about your own life and what it means to feel fulfilled. Of course, there’s the mystery of what happened to Natalie to keep you going, as well, which has an intriguing twist.
Simon & Schuster
‘Year of the Mer’ by L.D. LewisNeed a little fantasy in your life? Year of the Mer by L.D. Lewis is the next release, and it’s excellent for fans of The Little Mermaid. It’s time to go past the fairytale, and explore more of family legacy and sacrifice.
While Arielle got her happily-ever-after, the same can’t be said for her granddaughter, Yemi. After the assassination of her father, the king of Ixia, and the attack on her mother, which has left her slowly dying of a poisoned wound, Yemi needs to step up. She is about to inherit a throne she doesn’t necessarily want, and she’s angry about the attacks on her family. There may only be one person who has the power to help: Ursla.
While there is an element of a coming-of-age story, this is also a story of revenge and duty. Mixed within that is one of sacrifice and trust. Just how well can you trust a sea-witch who has waited generations for revenge?
Penguin Random House
‘The Escape Game’ by Marissa Meyer and Tamara MossYA thrillers continue to grow in popularity, and it’s thanks to the likes of Pretty Little Liars and One of Us Is Lying. Now it’s time for The Escape Game from Marissa Meyer and Tamara Moss.
The story brings one of reality TV into a world of murder and mayhem. When Season 4 of The Escape Game ended six months earlier, it was under dire circumstances. Alicia Angelos had been found murdered on set. Now new contestants are stepping back on set for the fifth season, and one of those happens to be Alicia’s sister, Sierra, who managed ot get away with murder.
We get a twisty thriller that throws our main characters into a search for a murderer. Sure, there are moments when you have to suspend belief, but that’s the case with a lot of YA books. Meyer and Moss bring diverse characters with their own standout personalities and needs, while they get to the bottom of all the clues.
Serena Williams Shared Rare Photos of Her Young Daughters, and They’re Absolutely Adorable
Serena Williams may love to glam it up for social media, but she rarely shares photos of her two daughters. However, the retired tennis icon just shared a series of sweet photos of the family for Easter.
Williams, 44, who has two children with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, took to Instagram to share adorable pictures of her daughters: Adira, 2, and Olympia, 8. The two tots attempted to pose with peace signs while dressed in their Easter best alongside the rest of their family.
"I don’t share these moments often, but being their mom is my favorite place to be. I’m with them 363 out of 365 days a year — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This weekend was everything," Williams captioned the shots, posting a series of fun family photos from the holiday weekend.
View this post on Instagram What Has Williams Said About the Challenges of Parenting?Williams has previously shared that while she may be an athletic icon, she believes the real sign of being a star is being someone your children can count on.
“I feel like everybody’s a champion,” she told PEOPLE in 2024. “You don’t have to be winning Wimbledon or a gold medal to be a champion. Being a champion is really just being there for your kids. I think that’s a huge champion.”
However, that doesn’t mean you always feel great. As an athlete, a founder of a beauty company, and a busy mom, Williams knows a thing or two about being exhausted.
“Being a champion is understanding that you’re not going to be a champion every single day. There’s no way you can win every single day. I need to take this advice to myself,” Williams said. “But it’s really just about giving your best effort in whatever you’re doing, just do the best that you can on that day. Some days, you will be able to make a better effort. Some days, just waking up is a big effort. You just have to give what you can on that day.”
Nancy Guthrie Update: Why New Note & Bitcoin Demand Should Be Taken With 'Grain of Salt,' Says Retired NYPD Sergeant
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing more than two months after being abducted from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and a retired NYPD sergeant recently weighed in on a new note and Bitcoin demand in the 84-year-old's case.
On Monday, April 6, TMZ received a new correspondence from a person alleging that Nancy “is dead," but that they had information about the location of her body.
“I saw her alive with them in the state of Sonora, Mexico,” they alleged in the note, reportedly from the same person who sent ransom notes to the outlet back in February.
The person allegedly demanded 1 Bitcoin in exchange for the location of Nancy's body—asking for half before the information is shared and half after a public arrest. TMZ's notes surfaced on the same day that Savannah returned to her Today co-hosting duties for the first time since her mother's disappearance in February.
During the April 6 episode of Brian Entin Investigates, NewsNation Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin spoke with retired NYPD sergeant Joe Giacalone about the new note and Bitcoin demand.
"I took the ransom stuff with a grain of salt from the very beginning because it was unlike anything we've ever seen before in history," Giacalone said. "They have to do this as part of their investigation...It's just another thing that they'd have to concentrate on and, quite frankly, probably waste a lot of time trying to figure out what exactly is happening on that end."
Related: Nancy Guthrie Update: Ex-FBI Agent Sends Bold Message About New Cold Case Note
He added, "I just hope that they figure out who this person is and if they have real information. I mean, there's over $1 million in reward for this."
If the original ransom notes had been legitimate, Giacalone said that they "would have rewritten textbooks" when it comes to "how law enforcement handles ransom notes."
He explained, "I mean, they didn't go directly to the family. They go through the media, which is something we've never seen before. The idea is to get the money and be able to give the person back. But that doesn't seem to be part of the equation when this thing first happened."
Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills residence on the evening of Jan 31. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department launched its search for the 84-year-old on Feb. 1, with the FBI joining not long afterward. As of writing, no suspect has been named in the case, despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward.
Is the Rumor That a Budget Airline Kicked a Family off a Flight for Having a Crying Baby Real?
A viral TikTok has sparked outrage and confusion after a family claimed they were removed from a flight because their baby looked “feverish” while crying. And more importantly, it raises a bigger question: Can airlines actually remove a passenger because a baby might be sick?
What Happened on the FlightThe incident involves a family flying with Allegiant Air, who say they were asked to leave after a flight attendant raised concerns about their infant.
According to the video, the baby had been crying and appeared flushed. Crew members allegedly suspected the child might have a fever, even though no formal medical check, such as a temperature reading, was performed.
The airline later stated that staff consulted a medical support service and made the decision based on potential health concerns for the infant, not simply because the baby was crying.
@quarantinecutiee@Allegiant Air We were unable to fly back home to Indiana with Allegiant on Friday 3/27 at 9pm due to a baby being naturally pale and red in the face from crying on a plane. First they didn't believe our babies birth certificate from Indiana at check in and they had several people look at it. We went through TSA just fine no issues. We boarded our flight like normal. Before boarding we took off babies shirt because she was hot on the flight from Indy to Florida we figured she'd probably be sweaty then too. She had also just ate baby food. Anybody with a child knows they are messy. They removed the gentleman in the aisle seat told him there was a seat up front away from kids. The whole two rows we were in were full of children and their parents. Someone in a vest came onto the plane and ask for our boarding pass again. I handed it over. They then asked me how old the baby was, her name, her birthdate and went back by the bathrooms and kept talking into the phone and walkie talkie. They called her an unidentified infant over the walkie. Then they told us a flight attendant reported us for a baby being feverish... said medical professionals wouldn't clear her to tly and that we were going to have to get off. Nobody would come and see her. Nobody on the flight was required to have a temperature checked. Nobody would even come and take her temperature. They said well she looks red and it looks like a rash. Several other babies were on the flight and also crying. We were told to get off the flight or police would take us off of it even though we weren't arguing or cussing. As we walked off we asked again why are we getting kicked off the plane and they stated we weren't getting kicked off. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I told the lady I'm not mad at you I'm mad at the situation. Im not complaining about you specifically. A supervisor wouldn't come and talk to us in person only on a phone. We got on the next flight they had which was 11am the next day. No accommodations, no car to get around, no place to stay other than to call family back to grab us from the airport again. We were so lucky we hadn't been just in town by ourselves. We waited an hour for them to drive back and grab us. We have no luggage as they wouldn't grab it off the plane. No car seat or stroller for the baby. They gave us an unclaimed car seat that has no padding and isn't age appropriate. Car seat was way too big had to hold her head the whole ride back to Kyle's grandparents house because it was too big. We missed work the next day, had to get our pet sitter to stay another day, didn't get to pick up our two other kids that were at dads for spring break and missed our foster care class which was the only one that aligned with our schedule for the next two months. We got on our next flight no issues. When we checked in they did state usually you can't tly tor 24 hours if there's illness when I asked if there were notes in for the night previous for when I called customer care. However we were put on the next flight 12 hours later. They even tried to make it better putting us in priority boarding and extra leg room which we didn't care about. We chose the back of the plane on purpose, less windows, it's usually darker for the baby to nap, and usually other people with kids chose the back. There was such a difference in the second flight sitting up front. Everyone was so much nicer and friendlier. We called Allegiant and they just keep telling us we are not able to get any sort of compensation for our time or experience. They wouldn't email or give me any policies on traveling with infants and they wouldn't connect me to a supervisor of any kind. @Allegiant Air also if you're just here to make comments about a baby being naked or there being more to the story get fucked
♬ original sound - Syd ❤️ Can Airlines Remove You for a Sick Baby? This is where things get more nuanced. Airlines operate under strict safety guidelines, and crew members are responsible for assessing whether any passenger, including infants, is fit to fly. If there are signs of illness, especially something that could worsen mid-flight, airlines can deny boarding.
While policies vary, industry norms generally include:
- Passengers (including infants) should not fly with serious or contagious illnesses
- Airlines may consult medical professionals before allowing travel
- Crew decisions are often made in real time, sometimes with limited information
In fact, airlines may err on the side of caution because once a plane is in the air, access to medical care is extremely limited.

What About Babies with Fevers? There isn’t a universal “no fever rule,” but most airlines strongly discourage flying with a sick infant.
Common guidance includes:
- If a baby appears ill, airlines may request medical clearance
- A visible fever or concerning symptoms can lead to denied boarding
Even outside airline policy, pediatricians often advise against flying with a fever due to:
- Risk of worsening illness
- Cabin pressure effects on ears and sinuses
- Exposure to other passengers
In short, a fever isn’t automatically cause for alarm, but it does raise red flags.
Where the Situation Gets ControversialThis is where public opinion splits. On one hand, airlines have a duty to prioritize safety. If a baby appears unwell, especially without medical confirmation, it’s understandable that staff would be cautious.
On the other hand, critics argue this situation may have been mishandled:
- No temperature was taken
- No in-person medical evaluation occurred
- The decision appeared to rely on visual assumptions
That’s where frustration comes in, especially for parents who feel they were judged without proper assessment.
“I am so tired of the public being mean to mothers/fathers and babies,” commented one viewer.
“I didn’t realize Allegiant Airlines was a licensed pediatrician,” commented another.
"We were a few rows up from you. We weren’t aware of why you were being asked to leave. I feel terrible for you,” said an eyewitness who commented, “I can’t imagine how stressful that was, and not having any luggage or car seat. All I can say is that you both handled the situation in the most tactful way. Kuddos for being so calm through it all.”

What Parents Should Know Before FlyingIf you’re traveling with a baby, here are a few practical takeaways:
- Avoid flying if your baby is visibly sick or has a fever
- Consider getting a doctor’s note if there’s any doubt
- Be prepared for extra scrutiny if your child appears unwell
This wasn’t about punishing a crying baby. It was about a crew making a judgment call, right or wrong, based on perceived health concerns. Still, the situation highlights a gray area in air travel: when caution turns into overreach.
Will '70s Rock Band Change Its Name After Losing Beloved Drummer?
Rush is returning after losing their drummer, Neil Peart, in 2020. Lead singer Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson acknowledged that things won't be the same without Peart. Will Rush change its name now that Lee, 72, and Lifeson, 72, will perform with drummer Anika Nilles?
Why the Band, Rush Will Keep Its Name Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart of Rush"We were twisting ourselves into a pretzel to try to avoid using the name that we have had for 50 years, and even before Neil came," Lee toldClassic Rock.

They knew they would continue playing the band's hits if it went by a different name. "Rush as most people know it," he later said. "But, you know, over five gigs we will be playing 40 Rush songs. So what the f--- should we call it, Iron Maiden?" They decided it was "silly" trying to come up with a new name, and will continue going by Rush.
Lee said grief hits him harder with some songs more than others. They plan to pay tribute to the drummer on the Fifty Something tour.
The tour starts in North America this June in Los Angeles. It will continue into 2027, starting with South America, then Europe. The band will be done by April 2027 unless they add more dates.
Nilles is a 42-year-old German drummer who performed solo. She rose to fame through YouTube. She performed with Rush when they returned for the first time at the Juno Awards and paid tribute to Peart.
Peart auditioned to join Rush and officially became part of the band in 1974. He died on January 7, 2020, at 67 years old in Santa Monica, California. He battled brain cancer three and a half years before his death.

JetBlue Just Added New Lounge Access and $1,500 Companion Perks to Its Premium Travel Card
If you’ve been watching the "arms race" of premium travel cards lately, you know the trend has been simple: more perks, but much higher fees. JetBlue is officially breaking that cycle. The airline just announced a massive refresh for its JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard, stacking it with new lounge access and huge statement credits while keeping the annual fee locked at its current rate.
The most immediate win for anyone flying out of the Northeast is the ground game. JetBlue is expanding its signature BlueHouse lounge—which has been a hit at JFK for its "chic city apartment" vibe—to Boston Logan’s Terminal C this summer. As a Premier cardmember, you (and a guest) get in for free, which is a significant value-add when you consider that high-end lounge memberships can often cost more than the card itself.
Related: JetBlue Just Launched a First-of-Its-Kind Monthly Subscription
View this post on InstagramBeyond the lounge, JetBlue is clearly trying to make the path to elite status a lot less of a grind. Starting this spring, cardmembers get a 25-tile bonus at the beginning of every year. Since Mosaic 1 status kicks in at 50 tiles, you’re essentially halfway to priority boarding and free "Even More Space" seats before you even pack a bag. They’ve also added a tiered Companion Pass credit—spend $15k in a year and you get $500 back toward a friend's ticket; hit $75k and that credit jumps to $1,500.
When you look at the competition, the strategy is pretty smart. Most "mid-range" airline cards in this space, like the Delta SkyMiles Platinum ($350) or the United Quest Card ($250), offer great miles but usually leave you hanging when it comes to lounge access. On the flip side, the "heavy hitters" like the Delta SkyMiles Reserve ($650) or United Club Infinite ($650) include lounge access but come with much higher annual fees and increasingly strict visit limits.
Related: This Major U.S. Airline Has the Roomiest Economy Seat—but Not for Long
The same "squeeze" is happening with broad travel favorites. Popular mid-range picks like the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Capital One Venture are great for racking up points, but they typically don't offer any complimentary lounge access at all. To get that perk, you usually have to jump up to the "big" cards, but even those have changed recently. The Chase Sapphire Reserve now carries a $795 annual fee, and the Capital One Venture X ($395) just overhauled its rules, requiring a $75,000 annual spend just to bring a guest into a lounge for free.
Is It Worth the Upgrade? If you already love the $99 JetBlue Plus Card, you aren't actually missing out on the "point-earning" speed—both cards still offer the same 6x points on JetBlue flights and 2x at grocery stores and restaurants. The decision to upgrade really comes down to how you value the airport experience. If you’re a frequent traveler who would actually use the BlueHouse or Priority Pass lounges, and you’re chasing that Mosaic status for the free upgrades, the extra fee pays for itself almost immediately. However, if you’re a casual flier who just wants a great sign-on bonus for free flights and JetBlue's frequent points sales, sticking with the $99 version is likely your best bet.

World Market Is Selling a Chic Patio Chair That Looks Strikingly Similar to a Crate & Barrel Style Over 3x the Price
If you love Crate & Barrel's furniture and home decor but not so much the brand's price range, you're not alone. Luckily, the year is 2026, and dupes abound. Right now, World Market is selling a chic patio chair that is twinning with a popular Crate & Barrel style for over three times the cost. The resemblance is uncanny. The two chairs look nearly identical.
World Market's Dominico Natural Acacia Wood Curved Back Outdoor Chair looks strikingly similar to Crate & Barrel's Neighbor Haven Canvas Outdoor Chair. However, Crate & Barrel's version retails for $1640, while World Market's retails for $499.99. This means Crate & Barrel's is over three times as expensive as World Market's.
Dominico Natural Acacia Wood Curved Back Outdoor Chair, $499.99 at World MarketWorld Market
Just like Crate & Barrel's patio chair, World Market's features a light wood frame and ivory cushions. The materials differ: World Market's chair frame is made of acacia wood, and its cushions are made of polyester. Meanwhile, Crate & Barrel's outdoor chair's frame is made out of teak, and the cushions are canvas. However, the look and feel are nearly identical.
Another variation between the patio chairs is the shape. Crate & Barrel's frame is more angular, while World Market's chair is slightly curved. However, this is a subtle difference that doesn't make a huge impact in terms of the similarity between the two chairs' designs.
World Market's outdoor chair is super stylish and incredibly functional. It features removable cushions and removable inserts, making for easy cleaning when the time arrives. Just toss the slipcovers in the washing machine and line dry. However, make sure you don't wash the cushion inserts.
The removable nature of the cushions also makes it easier to prep for inclement weather. All you'd need to do is take the cushions off and bring them inside during summer thunderstorms. Do note that you should cover the chair frame during bad weather as well.
You can find World Market's Crate & Barrel lookalike on WorldMarket.com and in select World Market stores.

Lo Bosworth Gets Real About IVF Journey: ‘We Are So Grateful’
Laguna Beach alum Lo Bosworth opened up about her IVF journey, ahead of the much-anticipated April 10 reunion.
The former Laguna Beach and The Hills reality star/Love Wellness healthy lifestyle entrepreneur welcomed her first child, daughter Nelle Natale (with husband, financial investor Dom Natale), in January 2026. And according to a new Instagram post, the road to mommyhood wasn’t exactly easy.
View this post on InstagramBosworth recently wrote (on her Instagram page), “Every IVF journey looks so different. Every decision can make an impact, good and bad, from the doctors to the labs to the meds to the lifestyle choices. It can be a little bit of a black box, with one round totally different from the next.”
Lo went on to add, “Sometimes it works, sometimes you have to keep going. Sometime;s you can’t. Ours was a journey of endurance and we’re so, so lucky we got our miracle baby.” She also wished other hopeful parents well, writing, “Sending our love and hope to everyone on the path.”
Along with the caption, Bosworth posted a carousel of photos, chronicling her journey from 2026 to 2026. The new mom started with a selfie from her first egg retrieval, back in June of 2020. She moved on to her second round in 2022, adding, “Got only 5 eggs. Felt devastated.” The montage of pics continued, moving on to a sweet snapshot of herself and her husband, Dom Natale: “Met the one.”
After meeting and marrying Natale, Bosworth continued the IVF process. The reality TV star explained, “2024. Did all we could to prep for round 3. Lifestyle choices, healthy eating, acupuncture, you name it. Even got a caboodle to stay positive.”
By 2025, the hopeful mama still wasn’t pregnant. That’s when, according to Bosworth, doctors discovered that she had endometriosis. In April of that year, she attempted another transfer and, as the rest of her photos show, it worked.
The 39-year-old ended her IVF story by sharing a sweet sentiment and a mommy-daughter selfie, “We are so grateful. If you’re on a similar journey, know that the road can be winding and long. What awaits you on the other side is worth the amazing effort.”
Bosworth’s candid post stirred up emotions, with commenters adding their very personal IVF experiences. One hopeful-mommy wrote, “Reading this as I am sitting here cuddling my 3 week IVF baby. My journey luckily, wasn’t too hard, which was good since I’m doing it on my own. I’m so happy I went ahead and did it,” and another said, “Wow! This gives me hope! Thank you for sharing!”
Prince William’s Next Big Step in the Royal Family Revealed
Prince William's next big step in the royal family could redefine his role in the monarchy, claims a royal reporter.
In a Substack, royal reporter Rob Shuter made bold claims about the Prince of Wales and how his rule will differ from both Queen Elizabeth and King Charles.
“William is not afraid to make hard calls. And right now, that’s exactly what the royal family needs," a royal source told Shuter.
“Charles leads with his heart. William leads with strategy. [William] doesn’t forget, and he doesn’t forgive easily. If you cross the line, that’s it.”

Additionally, the source told Shuter, “The monarchy is under more pressure than ever. You need someone who can make tough, unpopular decisions. He understands the stakes."
Justin Tallis - WPA Pool/Getty Images"This isn't just family, it's a business. He’s not trying to be liked,” the source concluded. “He’s trying to protect the monarchy.”
Since Queen Elizabeth’s passing, King Charles’s ascension, and Charles and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnoses, William has stepped quickly into a more demanding royal role. Since 2022, he's carried the responsibilities of the role, without the weight of the crown.

In addition, William has had to contend with Prince Harry’s estrangement from the royal family and his uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s very public scandals. Both challenges have shaken the monarchy, yet William continues to maintain a composed public presence, carrying the institution’s image forward.

In 2025, The Telegraph reported that one of William's biggest tasks since taking over as the Duke of Cornwall was responsibility for The Duchy. It is a vast private estate that provides income to the heir to the British throne, encompassing land, property, and investments across England.
Duchy state Director Ben Murphy added that William has a “healthy impatience, as his father did.” Murphy claims this “puts the wind in our sails; he really cares."
William told The Telegraph, "I see the Duchy as an extension of the work we do with the Royal Foundation. I see it as a branch of my philanthropy.."
He continued, “There’s so much good we can do in the rural world. I see it [the Duchy] as another arm to the work that I want to do, which is being a positive force for good. I think the Duchy has got way more levels and gears they can go through to be able to be a bigger force in the community.”
Prince William is first in line for the British throne. He will succeed to the role upon the passing of his father, King Charles.
