The ‘80s are back—or perhaps they’ve never left. The decade that spawned new wave among other things will be celebrated with a tour headlined by Howard Jones this summer.

The “Things Can Only Get Better” North American tour, named for Jones’ 1985 hit, kicks off July 19 in Napa, Calif. Joining Jones on the trek are fellow ‘80s icons Wang Chung, the English Beat and Modern English, while SiriusXM radio personality Richard Blade will serve as the host.

Unlike some other package tours, each act will play full sets on the 21-date tour, which stops in Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Washington, D.C., Boston and other cities before wrapping on Aug. 23 in Toronto.

“I dreamed of curating a tour with my favorite bands that could bring some positivity in our troubled times. I’m thrilled that this is actually happening this summer with the Things Can Only Get Better Tour,” Jones said in a statement. “Joining me are my friends Wang Chung, the English Beat, Modern English, and Richard Blade. I’m so excited to be touring with these amazing talents. Our aim is to bring some joy with the banging pop anthems that we all know and love. ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ is a message of hope for a future that we can create, when we stand up for the world we want to live in. Can’t wait to see you this summer!”

Jack Hues and Nick Feldman of Wang Chung also shared their feelings about the upcoming tour. “We are very excited to be joining Howard on this tour. We have known each other since the ‘80s but have never toured extensively together before. We have worked with Dave Wakeling and the English Beat and Modern English more recently. They are all great guys and exciting bands – four British bands bringing their hits and that unique 80s energy to your hometown - don’t miss it!"

Modern English’s Robbie Grey noted that it won’t just be a nostalgia fest, as his band will also be playing some new material. “Will be great touring with old friends again. Every night will be a top night,” he said. “We will play songs from our latest album 1234 and of course the classic early material and that song ‘I Melt With You.’”

To help promote the tour, Jones is set to appear on SiriusXM’s “First Wave Hollywood Happy Hour” with Blade on April 10 at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET.

As for the glam, the superstar’s long locks were teased into the perfect Michele half-updo and her makeup was statement Michele all the way.

In the film, Michele wears the space-age dress during a climactic scene, when she and Romy, dressed in a complementary blue metallic look, finally tell off mean girls Christie, Cheryl, and Kelly who bullied them in high school.

"You're a bad person with an ugly heart, and we don't give a flying f--- what you think," Romy says to Christie before turning and walking away. "Come on, Michele."

"Okay, and ... YEAH!" Michele hurls at all three.

Mona May, the movie’s costume designer, created the glitzy ensembles to directly contrast the performative "business women’s special” suits the best friends wore at the beginning of their reunion to conform to mediocrity.

Fans and famous people alike were thrilled with Underwood's throwback. Several took to the Denim & Rhinestones artist's comments section to share their approval.

"You’re the Carrie. YOU’RE THE CARRIE! 💗," American Idol wrote, referencing the infamous Mary-and-Rhoda fued in the movie.

"Cuteeee," dancer Adam Boreland said.

What scene did Jensen Ackles refuse to do in The Boys?

Jensen Ackles made his debut as Soldier Boy—a twisted take on Captain America—in Season 3 of The Boys. But even on a show known for pushing boundaries, there was one moment the actor wasn’t willing to film.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ackles admitted he drew a firm line when presented with a particularly explicit scene. “As a father of three, and a son and a husband and a self-respecting human being, I can’t do this,” he said recalling a conversation with showrunner Eric Kripke. “I didn’t know where my line was, but you found it.”

Kripke, who previously worked with Ackles on Supernatural, confirmed they ultimately adjusted the moment. “We worked out a compromise where I got what I needed without him destroying his soul,” Kripke said in the same interview.

While the EW piece didn’t specify the scene, Ackles later clarified in an interview with Fangasm that it involved a much more explicit intimate moment with an older woman—one briefly seen in Season 3, Episode 7, “Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed.”

On April 7, 1989, moviegoers flocked to theaters for the release of Major League, a sports comedy that would eventually become one of the most enduring films about an underdog.

With David. S Ward in the director’s seat and memorable performances by Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, Wesley Snipes, and Corbin Bernsen, the film captured the hearts of both sports fans and casual audiences alike. 

The film trails the new owner of the Cleveland Indians, former showgirl Rachel Phelps (played by Margaret Whitton), who has a deal to move the team to Miami. But to break the lease with the city of Cleveland, ticket sales must plummet, so her solution is to assemble a team of incompetent players to secure a losing streak. However, the underdogs discover teamwork, grit, and unexpected talent in the process, while she accidentally turns them into potential winners, against all odds. 

Delivering plenty of laughs and heartfelt moments along the way, thanks to the quirky ensemble cast, Major League debuted at No. 1 at the U.S box office. 

With the premiere coinciding with the MLB season, the film hit a commercial home run. 

In its opening weekend, it grossed around $8.8 million, holding the top spot for two consecutive weekends. 

It surpassed its budget of $11 miion, bringing in roughly $50 milllion domestically, while marking a cultural success. It dropped down to the second spot in its third weekend, the third spot in the fourth weekend, and remained in the top 10 for about two months. 

Over the 37 years since its debut, the film has earned a place on lists of the highest-grossing baseball films, including taking the number 10 spot on The Wrap's list of iconic baseball films. 

Sheen, Bernsen and Berenger all came back for the sequel, Major League II, which premiered a few years later in March 1994 and took home $30.6 million at the box office. 

Though to this day, the original film, which was received positively by critics and fans, is remembered not just as a box office hit, but a beloved comedy that helped define an era. It's got a lasting legacy and a loyal fanbase.

On February 22, 1977, the Eagles released what would become one of the most recognizable songs in rock history: “Hotel California.”

Just a few months later, the track climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking another major milestone for the band during their peak era—Rolling Stone has always included it on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Written by Don Felder (music) and Don Henley and Glenn Frey (lyrics), “Hotel California” quickly stood out for its cinematic storytelling and layered meaning. The song follows a weary traveler who checks into a mysterious hotel—only to discover he may never be able to leave.

In the 2013 documentary History of the Eagles, Henley described the track as “a journey from innocence to experience,” while the band often referred to it as their interpretation of the high life in Los Angeles—a world of glamour that slowly reveals a darker undercurrent.

Musically, the song is just as iconic as its lyrics. It closes with a now-legendary dual guitar solo performed by Felder and Joe Walsh—a climactic moment that continues to draw admiration decades later. As music producer Isaac Brown recently put it, “That’s a tasteful solo … the lead guitarist on this record has a good ear for melody.”

The song’s production has also stood the test of time. “The drum mix is phenomenal … it’s at a fidelity that I’m not used to hearing from albums of this era,” Brown also noted, highlighting just how advanced the recording still sounds to modern ears.

Despite running over six minutes—far longer than most radio hits at the time—the band refused to shorten it, a gamble that paid off as the song became a defining anthem of the era.

Over the decades, “Hotel California” has only grown in stature. It won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year and continues to rank on lists of the greatest songs ever recorded, with its meaning still debated by fans and critics alike.

Even today, the track continues to resonate with new generations of listeners. “This is one of my favorite mixes and just engineering masterpieces that I’ve heard so far in music from this era,” said Brown.

Bryan Cranston is a TV legend thanks to his role as Walter White on Breaking Bad. But despite playing a relentless criminal, the actor revealed he almost went into law enforcement.

Valley College, a two-year community school," Cranston shared. "My brother was interested in police work and was studying to join the Los Angeles Police Department. At college, I studied police science, which gave me discipline and taught me right from wrong."

However, Cranston needed an elective, and acting was fun. Luckily for us TV viewers, the class was so successful for him that it left Cranston "with second thoughts about police work."

Cranston's daughter, Taylor Dearden, is a rising star in her own right. The actress, 33, has earned raves as Dr. Mel King on the hit HBO medical series The Pitt. Cranston couldn't be more thrilled.

“Well, Taylor is a wonderful, hard-working actor,” Cranston told Craig Melvin during a recent appearance on TODAY. “She grew up in this business with my wife and I being actors. And so, we’re so proud of her.”

“There is nothing more gratifying than when your kid receives praise. Nothing,” Cranston told the Associated Press, of what he and his wife believe about their daughter’s success. “No one can say anything to me that’s better than that.”

“Her mom and I are just over the moon with her work on it,” he noted.

Burger King just revealed it's testing a series of new sliders that it designed "for whatever craving strikes."

While CEOs of fast-food chains everywhere rush to review their own meals, Burger King is returning its emphasis to the opinions that really matter: those of its fans. Last week, BK unveiled the new Peppercorn BLT Whopper, a recipe it said was inspired by its biggest fans and one that's heading out nationwide for a limited time.

Fast forward to this Tuesday, the beloved burger joint revealed it would begin testing three new slider recipes in a King Size Sliders Box, which it will offer at select U.S. locations for a few weeks beginning later this month.

They discussed the concept of 'masculinity' and how the way it is portrayed in movies has shifted over time. “I think that’s one of the things that is fun and interesting about Bad Boys," Smith said. "Even the irony of the title. There’s a broadness to the spectrum of the definition of a bad boy. Our characters say they love each other.” Lawrence added, “But we’re like that in real life. We tell each other we love each other in real life.”

Lawrence and Smith have starred in every film in the franchise. Michael Bay directed the original, then returned for the first sequel. Although he wasn’t involved in the making of the third or fourth movie, he has made cameos in both. He played the emcee at a wedding in the third film and a Porsche driver in the fourth.

Gabrielle Union was another memorable character from the franchise. She appeared in the second installment as Marcus’ sister, Lieutenant Sydney Burnett. Her character went on to have her own spinoff show, LA’s Finest. The series, which also starred Jessica Alba, ran from 2019 to 2020.

Although a fifth Bad Boys movie has not been officially confirmed, Lawrence has hinted that he's open to returning for another installment in the future. "I never say never,” he teased. “But it also has to make sense. If the fans ask for it, you know we could be back."

The actor also admitted that he personally enjoys making the films. "Will and I have a great time working together," he said. "So as long as the fans want it and the demand is there, I’ll keep trying to give them what they want."

What To Look for in a Lip Balm

When choosing a lip balm, "look for formulas with moisturizing and barrier-repair ingredients such as petrolatum, shea butter, ceramides or hyaluronic acid. These help seal in moisture and protect the delicate skin on the lips," board-certified dermatologist and founder of DermWorksDr. Jenna Queller tells Parade.

Why Are My Lips So Dry?

According to Queller, lips can feel dry for multiple reasons.

"Environmental factors like cold weather, wind or sun exposure are common culprits. Dehydration and frequent lip licking can also worsen dryness. In some cases, irritating ingredients in lip products—such as fragrances, menthol, camphor or certain flavorings —can trigger irritation or allergic contact dermatitis," she says.

Tips for Preventing Dry Lips

Unfortunately, you can't control the weather, but you can control several other factors that contribute to dry lips.

"The key is prevention and protection. Use a nourishing lip balm regularly, especially before going outdoors or to bed. Stay well hydrated, avoid licking your lips and try to limit products with potential irritants," Queller says.

And when it comes to weather, dermatologists suggest using a humidifier in dry climates or during the winter months to "maintain moisture in the skin and lips."

Ingredients To Avoid in Lip Balm

As for ingredients, Queller says there are a few that you should avoid if you're hoping to prevent dry lips:

• Fragrance and flavorings: "These are one of the most common causes of irritation on the lips. Even if they smell or taste nice, they can lead to sensitivity or allergic reactions over time, including allergic contact dermatitis," she says.
• Menthol, camphor and phenol: "These ingredients create a cooling or tingling sensation, but they can be drying and irritating to the delicate lip skin. With repeated use, they may disrupt the skin barrier and perpetuate a cycle of dryness," she explains.
• Salicylic acid or exfoliating acids: "While helpful for acne, these ingredients are too harsh for regular use on the lips and can lead to peeling, irritation and increased sensitivity," she says.
• Essential oils (like peppermint, citrus or cinnamon): "These are often marketed as 'natural,' but they can be surprisingly irritating and are a common trigger for lip sensitivity," she says.
• Lanolin and beeswax: "Both can be very effective barrier ingredients, but they are also potential allergens. In sensitive individuals, they may trigger irritation or allergic reactions," she tells Parade.

Occlusives vs. Humectants vs. Emollients: What Actually Hydrates Lips?

Dr. Ranella Hirsch, a Boston-based board-certified dermatologist, says it's important to understand the difference between occlusives, humectants and emollients while shopping for a lip balm.

• Occlusives: Hirsch notes that occlusives "seal in moisture" and include ingredients like petrolatum and dimethicone.
• Humectants: She describes humectants as ingredients that "attract and draw in moisture." Examples include glycerin and hyaluronic acid.
• Emollients: Hirsch says emollients "soften and smooth" lips. She cites lanolin and cocoa butter paraffin as examples.

Do You Really Need SPF in Lip Balm?

Sunscreen is an essential product that protects your skin from the sun's harsh rays. But is it necessary to get a lip balm with built-in SPF? Queller recommends it, saying lips are "particularly vulnerable to sun damage."

If you're wearing a wide-brimmed hat and avoiding the sun during its peak hours, your lips are probably safe from the sun, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

"Sunscreen, especially for the lower lip, is a best practice and one to be heartily encouraged," Hirsch says.

How Often Should You Apply Lip Balm?

Not sure how often you should apply lip balm for optimal results? Queller says most people benefit from using it several times a day, "typically every few hours and after eating or drinking."

"I always suggest applying a thicker, occlusive balm before bed so it can work overnight to repair the lip barrier," she adds.

Can You Overuse Lip Balm?

Many skin care products should be used sparingly so they don't irritate your complexion, but Queller says you can typically use lip balms as often as you want to, as long as they don't include ingredients that might aggravate your lips.

"It’s actually a common myth that lip balm itself causes dependence. However, constantly reapplying certain formulas—especially those with irritating ingredients like menthol or camphor—can create a cycle of irritation that makes lips feel drier. Choosing a gentle, fragrance-free balm is key," she says.

When To See a Dermatologist for Chronically Dry Lips

Dry lips are usually a routine issue, but there may come a point when you might want to consult a dermatologist for their professional opinion.

"If your lips remain persistently dry, cracked or painful despite using a gentle balm for a few weeks, it’s worth seeing a dermatologist. Chronic dryness can sometimes be due to conditions like eczema, allergic contact dermatitis or actinic damage from the sun. A dermatologist can help identify the underlying cause and recommend targeted treatment," Queller says.

What Makes Pilates an Effective Choice for Weight Loss?

While performing traditional cardio torches calories during the workout itself, Pilates changes how your body operates the rest of the day. It also helps strengthen the smaller muscles that support the pelvis and spine, which, in turn, can help you lift heavier weights in an all-around more beneficial, safer manner, Johnson tells us. Training with weights is what helps alter your body composition, and Pilates is an excellent supplement to that.

“There's also the cortisol piece, which most people overlook,” Johnson adds. “Chronic stress is one of the main reasons the body holds onto fat, especially around the belly. Pilates brings the nervous system down, and when your body feels calm, it's far more willing to release those stores.”

Spot reduction is a myth, but Pilates helps build and tone your deep muscles. So, as body fat reduces, the toned appearance is already waiting for you, Johnson explains. When you shed weight through a calorie deficit, your body looks sculpted and defined rather than just “smaller.”

How Core Engagement Impacts Calorie Burn During Pilates

Being mindful of core engagement during a Pilates workout is essential for success.

“In Pilates, the core, what we call the powerhouse, is never really off. When it's properly engaged, even lifting one leg becomes a full-body effort. That demands a lot more energy than most people expect,” Johnson says. “Add a Pilates ring or resistance band, and your muscles are also working to stabilize against an outside force. That extra recruitment pushes the calorie burn up significantly across the whole session.”

5 At-Home Pilates Exercises for Weight Loss1. The Pilates Hundred

The Hundred is an exercise Johnson kicks off almost every session with. “The arm pulses combined with deep breathing wake up your circulation fast,” she says.

1. Start seated on a floor mat.
2. Roll back, bringing your chin toward your chest and hovering your shoulder blades above the ground.
3. Extend your legs to a 45-degree diagonal, bringing them together and pointing your toes.
4. Reach both arms forward.
5. Start to pulse your arms.

2. Side-kneeling obliques

“For the waist, I go [for] the side-kneeling obliques. Pressing into the mat (or a Pilates ring) creates a lateral challenge that hits the side-body better than any crunch,” Johnson says.

1. Begin in a side-kneeling position with one knee on the mat and the other leg extended out to the side with your foot flat.
2. Position your bottom hand on the mat or on a Pilates ring that’s placed under your shoulder.
3. Stack your hips and shoulders.
4. Reach your top arm overhead, elongating the fingers.
5. Press into the mat or ring with your bottom hand to activate your side body.
6. Slightly lift your hips to feel the contraction through your obliques.
7. Hold the position for a moment before releasing.
8. Repeat on the other side.

3. Roll-up

“The roll-up looks gentle, but try slowing it down and you'll feel your deep abdominals as you roll through your spine one vertebra at a time. It demands real abdominal control throughout,” Johnson points out.

1. Lie flat on your back with both legs extended and arms reaching overhead, palms facing up.
2. Take a deep breath in.
3. On the exhale, gradually roll up, lifting your arms, shoulders and head off the mat.
4. Continue to roll up until you reach a seated position with your arms reaching toward your toes.
5. Inhale at the top of the movement.
6. Breathe out as you use control to return to the start position.

4. Single-leg circles

“Single-leg circles are deceptively hard. One leg is moving, but the real work is happening everywhere else. Your hips, core and stabilizers all have to hold firm, and that's what builds deep core stability—by learning how to stabilize your pelvis while the legs are moving,” Johnson explains.

1. Lie flat on your back on a mat with your arms at your sides and both legs extended.
2. Activate your core and press your lower back into the floor.
3. Lift your left leg up toward the sky, keeping your right leg on the mat.
4. Start to draw tiny circles in the air with your left leg with control, keeping your pelvis stable.
5. Perform the prescribed number of circles in one direction, then in the opposite direction.
6. Repeat on the other side.

5. Double-leg S=stretch

“Double-leg stretch might be my personal favorite. You're reaching your arms and legs away from your center at the same time, which means your core has to fight to keep everything together. People always underestimate it at first,” Johnson says.

1. Lie flat on your back on the mat and bring your knees in toward your chest.
2. Lift your head, neck and shoulders off the floor.
3. Place your hands on your shins to begin.
4. Then, take a deep breath in as you reach your arms overhead and extend both legs out to form a 45-degree angle.
5. Make sure your core remains engaged and your lower back stays pressed into the mat.
6. Breathe out as you reverse the motion, bringing your knees back to your chest and your hands to your shins.

How Often To Perform These Exercises for Results

If you want to achieve noticeable results, being consistent is the name of the game. For weight loss, Johnson recommends doing Pilates workouts three to four times a week.

“Research suggests the most noticeable changes in body composition tend to show up after 12 weeks or more, so patience is part of the process,” she says.

Even a brief 20-minute session a day trumps a longer session done every now and then. Establishing a regular Pilates practice ensures your metabolism and mind-body connection remain sharp.

Keep in mind that while Pilates alone can help you lose weight, it’s more effective when paired with additional strength training, along with a nutritious diet that supports your progress and goals. So roll out your mat and get started with this healthy habit at home!

Qdoba's promotion also highlights a key point of differentiation for the brand: its longstanding policy of including guacamole and queso at no extra charge on create-your-own entrées. As part of the campaign, the company has also partnered with personal finance educator Tori Dunlap, founder of Her First $100K and host of the Financial Feminist podcast, to highlight how small everyday charges can add up over time.

Dunlap is encouraging consumers to take a hard look at routine expenses—like paying extra for guac—stating, "building better money habits often starts with questioning the small charges we're told are normal...[and] choosing brands that don't nickel‑and‑dime you for things that should already be included." 

Turning Tax Season Into a Marketing Moment

Limited-time promotions tied to tax season have become increasingly common across the restaurant industry, as brands seek to connect with consumers during a time when budgets are top of mind. By framing the promotion around a familiar frustration, Qdoba is tapping into a conversation many fast-casual customers already understand.

For diners who already frequent the chain, the offer may provide an extra incentive to visit. For others, it serves as a reminder that even small perks can make a difference when dining out costs keep rising.

Katy Perry is always in the public eye. And while the pop performer has made recent news for her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the 41-year-old tries to keep her daughter out of the spotlight. 

Long before she was spotted snuggling with Trudeau, Perry was coupled up with Pirates of the Caribbeanstar Orlando Bloom. The pair, who announced their engagement in 2019, never officially married and eventually split sometime last summer. Even though they are no longer together, Perry and Bloom remain committed to coparenting their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom (born August 2020). 

Like plenty of other celebrity parents, Perry and Bloom make it a point to keep their kiddo out of the public eye. But that doesn’t mean you can’t catch a rare glimpse of the five-year-old every so often. Both parents occasionally share pics on social media, usually camouflaging the little girl’s face with an emoji or choosing a back-of-the-head angle.

Bloom recently shared an Instagram post captioned, “love language lately.” Along with a series of selfies, the actor included a beach-trip pic and a video of his daughter, Daisy. Of course, her face was covered by a heart in the photo, and the video only showed the back of her hair.

Perry also posted a few springtime snapshots of Daisy. Like Bloom, she buried these in the middle of a carousel featuring other photos. After scrolling through a selfie and a group shot (which features Trudeau), fans eventually came across a video of what they assume is Daisy. And this clip is one you absolutely can’t miss!

Even though you can only see the little girl’s feet, fans can definitely hear her singing. What is her song of choice? Of course, it’s one of her famous mam’s tunes. As she rides in her car seat, Daisy hilariously belts out the chorus of ‘Woman’s World’. Katy better watch out. It looks like a new star is on the rise. One commenter wrote, “It’s a Daisy’s world and we’re lucky to be living in it!” 

The Grammy Award-winner (and we’re talking Katy, not Daisy…yet) also added a photo of her daughter walking towards a massive “Love” sculpture and Valentine’s Day-ish flower display. To keep her little one’s face private, Perry only shares a pic from the back.

If you’re wondering whether Perry might show public clips of her daughter (minus the face-covering emojis) anytime soon, it looks like the mama will keep her kiddo private for now. The superstar singer recently posted about children and social media use, applauding the book ‘The Amazing Generation’. In the post, Perry references several norms for parents regarding tech-time and kids. These include no smartphones until age 14 and no social media use before age 16. Given that Daisy is five, she has a while to wait. 

We're still a few days shy from the return of TV's rowdiest family with the Hulu revival of Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, but Krispy Kreme is getting in on the upcoming festivities with their new limited-time Mix Pack.

According to a new press release from the company, Krispy Kreme will begin offering their new Mix Pack from April 10 to April 12 to coincide with the release of Malcolm in the Middle's long-awaited sequel series.

For one weekend only, fans can arrive to any participating Krispy Kreme location and order the brand's Malcolm in the Middle Mix Pack, which includes 10 Original Glazed Donuts surrounded by 10 Original Glazed Donut Dots and 10 Sprinkle Donut Dots caught "in the middle."

In addition to the massive variety pack, the Mix Pack will come in a specialty wrapped dozen box, featuring a tie-in design inspired by the show.

As most fans might remember, Malcolm in the Middle served as one of the most popular sitcoms of the 2000s.

Running from 2000 to 2006, the series focused on the chaotic antics of the rambunctious Wilkerson family, a blue collar family that includes the iron-willed matriarch Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), the irresponsible father Hal (Bryan Cranston) and their five woefully misbehaved sons.

Though it ended in 2006, Malcolm in the Middle is formally set to return with its long-awaited sequel series on Hulu. With most of the original cast returning, the series will follow the now middle-aged Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) as he reconnects with his estranged family.

Along with Muniz, Kaczmarek and Cranston, the sequel series will see the return of original Malcolm in the Middle stars Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield, Emy Coligado, David Anthony Higgins and Gary Anthony Williams, among others.

All four episodes of Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair premiere on April 10, 2026.

As the stars of Charlie's Angels celebrate the show's 50th anniversary, one former cast member has opened up about her decision to leave Hollywood years ago. Kate Jackson, who played Sabrina Duncan on Charlie's Angels, didn't hold back in a chat with People.

Jackson reflected on "those horrible tabloids" that took a difficult situation and made it worse. She explained that the fame and attention she and her fellow Charlie's Angels co-stars received as the show became intensely viral became too much.

"We lost our privacy, totally. We just absolutely totally lost every bit of privacy," Jackson told People. She added, "And then, to make it worse, those horrible tabloids."

Charlie's Angels aired for five seasons, from 1976 to 1981. Jackson stayed on the show for the first three seasons before deciding to leave due to scheduling conflicts and creative differences.

Jackson had extensive acting experience before joining Charlie's Angels, and she continued to act for years after departing the series. Before Charlie's Angels, Jackson starred on Dark Shadows and The Rookies, and in the 1980s she starred on Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

She continued to pick up roles here and there for another two decades, but she didn't tackle anything big again after Scarecros and Mrs. King. Jackson's last role was a guest stint for one episode of Criminal Minds in 2007.

Despite her strong feelings about losing her privacy due to the fame she garnered on Charlie's Angels, Jackson told People that reuniting with Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd for an April 6 event at PaleyFest felt "good."

Jackson explained, "[It's been] a long time. It feels good to be together." She admitted she was nervous about the event, in part because it's been so long since she's done that kind of thing.

Luckily, however, "We just fell right back into place. Yeah, being together. It feels really good."

Even though Jackson left Charlie's Angels after three seasons and left Hollywood behind nearly 20 years ago, she still loves the "sisterhood" she formed with her co-stars.

Jackson explained, "Time didn't break it. Time, we still embrace it in the distance. And we're always for each other. Whatever is going on."

She added that there's a "real, genuine care" and "real love" between the ladies that has never gone away.

The 1983 classic, which follows the tumultuous relationship between a mother and daughter, Aurora and Emma, over 30 years of their relationship, earned endless praise for its stars, which included Debra Winger, Shirley MacLaine, and Jack Nicholson. But the beloved film also manages to devastate viewers year after year, and that's why it landed on Cosmopolitan's list of "60 Best Tearjerker Movies Ranked From Sad to Emotionally Devastating." In fact, Terms of Endearment came in at number 2 in the ranking.

Where is Debra Winger These Days?

Winger, who is also known for roles in films like An Officer and a Gentleman and Urban Cowboy, became a mainstay of the film industry back in the ’80s. While she took on occasional roles in more recent years, including a stunning performance as Anne Hathaway‘s mother in 2008’s Rachel Getting Married, the actress has frequently stated that she doesn’t consider herself part of the Hollywood scene. However, Winger shared a rare photo of herself on social media back in January for an event in Little Rock alongside poet Naomi Shihab Nye titled “A Life of Art and Activism.” That classic smile hasn’t changed one bit since the ’80s!

In a recent interview, the film’s director, James L. Brooks, reflected on the tense set of the beloved film, which chronicled the tumultuous relationship between a mother and daughter throughout the decades.

Brooks told PEOPLE that the film’s set felt like “when mom and dad are fighting, and that kind of frozen feeling you get in the pit of your stomach that you can do very little about it… it was a little like that.”

MacLaine and Winger didn’t get along, but the film ultimately triumphed, earning critical acclaim and a place in the hearts of film fans forever.

“At the end, there was enormous grace on Debra’s part, because we went to the Oscars,” Brooks reflected. “Everybody came home with an Oscar except Debra.”

Both Nicholson and MacLaine earned Oscars for their roles.

“People were posing with their Oscars, and she (Debra) sat there posing with an imaginary one,” he recalled. “So she had great grace at the end of it, but for a while there it was as rocky as it gets.”
