Find theme words to fill the board.

• Theme words stay highlighted in blue when found.

Find the “spangram.”

• The spangram describes the puzzle's theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. It may be two words.
• The spangram highlights in yellow when found.

Need a hint?

• Find non-theme words to get hints.
• For every three non-theme words you find, you earn a hint.

One of the biggest heavy metal bands ever is finally returning to one area of the globe after seven years away. Slayer just announced a handful of tour dates in Latin America, in what will be their first time there since 2019.

The tour is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the landmark album Reign In Blood, which originally came out on Oct. 20, 1986. The record features hit songs like "Postmortem," "Criminally Insane," and "Raining Blood." The group will be performing the album in its entirety at each of the tour stops.

The legendary band, which started in the 1980s, shared the exciting news on social media, writing, "After selling out two nights in Los Angeles, SLAYER is taking the Reign in Blood 40th Anniversary south with five headline shows featuring the album performed in full."

Slayer will start with a show in Mexico City, Mexico, on Oct. 21, followed by Bogotá, Colombia, on Dec. 5, Santiago, Chile, on Dec. 10, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Dec. 14, and São Paulo, Brazil, on Dec. 17. Each stop will also feature special guests. Power Trip will be in Mexico, while Kreator and Ultra Legends will be in Colombia, Kreator and Avernal in Chile, Kreator and Criminal in Argentina, and Kreator and Korzus in Brazil.

The announcement also included information about tickets, noting that the presale will start on June 1. The post included the code needed to access the presale. The regular sale for Brazil and Chile will be on June 3, while the other dates will be available on June 4. Amid the dates in Latin America, Slayer also has shows in Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas, and California in the U.S.

The last time the group was in Latin America to perform was in October 2019 as part of Slayer's Farewell Tour, shortly before things started getting canceled and shutting down because of COVID-19.

On May 30, 1966, Dolly Parton married Carl Thomas Dean in Ringgold, Georgia, beginning one of the most enduring and private love stories in country music history.

Long before Parton became a global superstar, she was an ambitious teenager newly arrived in Nashville with dreams of making it in country music.

On her very first day in town, she stopped at the Wishy Washy Laundromat and unexpectedly met the man she would spend the rest of her life with.

According to Parton, 80, Dean immediately caught her attention by speaking to her outside the laundromat while she was doing laundry. Years later, she joked that she was surprised he looked directly at her face while talking to her instead of staring elsewhere, something she said felt rare at the time.

That brief conversation sparked a relationship that would quietly outlast countless celebrity romances.

Two years later, the couple married in a small ceremony in Ringgold, Georgia. At the time, Parton’s record label reportedly worried that getting married could hurt her budding career, so the ceremony was intentionally low-key.

Only a few people attended, including Parton’s mother, the preacher and the preacher’s wife.

As Parton’s fame skyrocketed in the decades that followed, Dean remained famously private. While his wife became one of the most recognizable entertainers in the world, Dean largely stayed out of the spotlight, rarely appearing publicly and avoiding the celebrity lifestyle entirely.

That contrast only seemed to strengthen their relationship. Parton often spoke lovingly about Dean, crediting their different personalities and mutual respect for the longevity of their marriage.

"We have spent 60 precious and meaningful years together," the "Jolene" singer said in a 2025 Facebook post shortly after Dean's death on March 3.

"Like all great love stories, they never end. They live on in memory and song. He will always be the star of my life story, and I dedicate this song to him."

May 30, 2026, would have marked the couple's 60th wedding anniversary, a milestone few Hollywood or music-industry couples ever reach.

To this day, Parton and Dean's marriage remains one of country music’s most admired love stories.

As of Thursday, May 28th, Obsession made $5.6 million to The Mandalorian’s $3.5 million.

Obsession is a supernatural, psychological horror film which follows Bear, an awkward introvert who has a big crush on his coworker, Nikki. Bear goes to a witch shop and obtains a magic "One-Wish-Willow" and uses it to wish for Nikki to reciprocate his feelings. However, the wish backfires after stripping Nikki of her free will and transforms her into a violently obsessive, possessed being who will stop at nothing to be with Bear.

The movie has been described by reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes as "dauntingly disturbing" with "deviously crowd-pleasing ends." The New York Timeswrote:

"Barker shows real promise as a horror storyteller; his instincts about when to hold back and when to plunge the knife are scalpel sharp."

Moving into its third weekend there's no telling what else this horror story is going to do, the movie is clearly in its own race as it comes to an earning trajectory. It will now be up against Star Wars, as well as the highly-anticipated Backrooms.

Frankie Valli, the legendary frontman of The Four Seasons, has canceled all of his remaining 2026 tour dates as he steps away from the road to focus on his health.

The 92-year-old singer announced the decision Friday through social media, ending months of uncertainty surrounding several previously postponed performances.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health,” Valli said. “Im looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your good wishes.”

The announcement means that all remaining Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons concerts scheduled through November 2026 have been canceled. Several shows that had already been moved from spring dates into later months are now officially off the calendar.

Valli’s longtime representative, Victoria Varela, told Variety that the decision was made to avoid keeping fans waiting indefinitely while his health situation is addressed.

“Promoters want to prolong things and not give people their money back,” Varela said. “But he needs to not keep rescheduling these shows. He realized he needed to take a break and get his health in order, and that is the true issue, he wants to get better without prolonging, through the rescheduling process, the pain of people who’ve bought these tickets.”

Varela added that Valli plans to dedicate the next six months to improving his health before considering whether a return to live performances could happen in 2027.

The singer did not disclose the specific health issues that led to his decision. However, concerns about his well-being have circulated online in recent years as videos from his performances gained attention on social media.

Despite those concerns, Valli remained committed to performing. His most recent concert took place on Feb. 22 at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California. 

Fans quickly filled the comments section of his Instagram announcement with messages of support and encouragement. Friends and fellow musicians also shared their wishes for a full recovery.

Among them was saxophonist Rick Keller, who wrote, “Hi Frankie, sending you strength and wishes for healing and comfort! Your sax player Rick.”

The cancellation affects a series of scheduled performances across the United States, including dates planned for Arizona, California, New Jersey and Michigan.

Valli has remained one of the most enduring performers in popular music. Born Francesco Stephen Castelluccio in Newark, New Jersey, he rose to fame as the unmistakable voice behind The Four Seasons.

His powerful falsetto helped turn songs such as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don't Cry,” “Walk Like a Man” and “Rag Doll” into chart-topping hits during the 1960s. As a solo artist, he also scored major successes with “Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” “My Eyes Adored You” and “Grease.”

Over the course of his career, Valli earned 29 Top 40 hits with The Four Seasons and nine additional Top 40 singles as a solo performer.

His achievements have been recognized with numerous honors. Valli and the original members of The Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. He later joined the New Jersey Hall of Fame and received a joint star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with The Four Seasons in 2024.

In 2025, he received his first Grammy honor when he was presented with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Valli’s remarkable career also inspired the hit Broadway musical “Jersey Boys,” which chronicled the rise of The Four Seasons and later became a feature film directed by Clint Eastwood.

Although his touring plans have now been halted for the remainder of the year, Valli’s statement suggests he has not ruled out returning to the stage. For now, the music icon is placing his focus on recovery while fans around the world await updates on his health and future plans.

Neurotic Outsiders earned a unique place in the music industry after being named one of the “best supergroups” of all time.

An influential rock band in the 1990s, the four-piece group comprised top-notch musicians, including Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones on guitar and vocals, Guns N' Roses’ Duff McKagan on guitar, Duran Duran’s John Taylor on bass and drummer Matt Sorum from Guns N' Roses and The Cult.

Joining highly regarded groups such as Cream, Velvet Revolver, Temple of the Dog, Them Crooked Vultures and more, Neurotic Outsiders landed at No. 19 on the Top 20 list of the greatest supergroups in rock history, as ranked by Louder Sound.

The publication highlighted the band’s major success after releasing its self-titled debut album, Neurotic Outsiders, in 1996.

Under Maverick Records, the band released only one studio album and two successful singles before disbanding two years after its formation.

Formed in 1995, the group released its debut studio album a year later and peaked at No. 22 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.

Their first single, “Jerk,” hit No. 14 on the UK Rock Chart and No. 3 on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart, making it their biggest standout track.

Another signature song by Neurotic Outsiders was their second official single, “Angelina,” written by Jones.

The strong reception from fans prompted the band to embark on a North American and European tour featuring surprise guests, marking its first and only tour as a band.

“I was dumbfounded,” McKagan told Yahoo, regarding the achievement of the supergroup at the time. “We were just having a laugh, after all. It was funny to hear it described as a group at all, much less a supergroup. The whole thing was totally casual - our live shows were nothing more than punk-rock parties, a couple of dudes playing loads of cover songs - Clash, Pistols, Damned, Stooges - with lots of our friends joining us onstage for a song or two.”

Although Neurotic Outsiders scored commercial success with its first studio album, the band failed to sustain its momentum and ultimately broke up in 1997 due to conflicting schedules and commitments to their primary bands.

Following the disbandment, Sorum rejoined The Cult while Taylor returned to Duran Duran for a full reunion.

As for McKagan, he focused on sobriety and earned a business and studied business, which led him to launch the money management firm Meridian Rock.

Clive Davis was hospitalized in New York City on Friday, May 29, TMZ reports.

A spokesperson for the music mogul told the outlet that he was suffering from "an upper respiratory infection and out of an abundance of caution, he was admitted to the hospital." The spokesperson added that he is expected to be released in 24 hours.

The 94-year-old record producer's hospitalization comes just a week after he was seen attending the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner and Auction in New York City.

Davis' contributions to the music industry are vast; he has won five Grammy Awards during his career. He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 2000. Davis headed several different labels, beginning with being named president of CBS Records in 1967. That's when he went to a festival and saw Janis Joplin perform, going on to sign her band. He also signed Carlos Santana’s band in 1968, along with bringing Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, and Billy Joel to Columbia.

In 1973, his time at CBS Records came to an end as he was fired, and from there, he went on to take over Arista Records. There, he signed Patti Smith, the Kinks, and the Grateful Dead. He also worked closely with Aretha Franklin and Dionne Warwick, signing Franklin to Arista Records after her contract with Atlantic Records ended. But that's not all, as he went on to sign Whitney Houston in 1983.

In 2000, he left Arista Records and started a new label, J Records. There he signed and mentored numerous stars including Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Clarkson.

Davis is also infamous for his Grammy parties, with the music mogul telling Billboard in January that they are the highlight of his year.

"Well, it’s exciting because it’s as star-filled as ever, if not more," he added. "But it’s the emotion of people looking forward to it that keeps me on my toes."

Keanu Reeves is looking back on one of the most memorable moments of his music career.

The actor and musician recently shared his reaction to performing with his alternative rock band Dogstar as an opening act for Bon Jovi during the mid-1990s. More than three decades later, Reeves admitted he was stunned by the opportunity at the time.

“When we opened for Bon Jovi at The Forum, that was just like, ‘What?!,’” Reeves recalled, according to Loudwire.

The experience happened during Dogstar’s rise in the 1990s, when the band was building its reputation on the Los Angeles music scene. Although Reeves was already becoming a major Hollywood star following films like Speed, he remained committed to his role as Dogstar’s bassist.

“Then it was like, it felt okay. It was fun. It was fun,” Reeves added.

Dogstar opened for Bon Jovi on select dates of the rock band's 1995 These Days tour, including performances at the Great Western Forum in Los Angeles. The lineup featured Reeves on bass, Bret Domrose on vocals and guitar, and Robert Mailhouse on drums.

While many bands in the 1990s were influenced by the exploding grunge movement from Seattle and alternative rock scenes across the West Coast, Dogstar never felt fully connected to those trends.

“We weren't part of it, at all,” Reeves said while discussing the Los Angeles music scene of the era.

His bandmates agreed with the assessment.

“I think, you know, we were feeling it, but to what Keanu was saying, we weren't really a part of it,” Mailhouse explained.

“But we were feeling it and it was a good time to be alive and a great time to be in Los Angeles at that time as well. It was exciting because it was a whole other sort of nail in the coffin of a certain genre and a bring up of another one. Everything seemed exciting.”

For Dogstar, the period was less about fitting into a movement and more about developing their own identity. The band spent years playing clubs, bars, and smaller venues while learning the music business.

The reflection comes as Dogstar enters a new chapter in its career.

The trio recently announced the release of All In Now, their latest studio album, which arrived on May 29 through their independent label, Dillon Street Records. The project follows the band's 2023 reunion album, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, which marked their return after more than two decades away from recording and touring together.

Dogstar is scheduled to support the new album with an extensive 2026 tour across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Bon Jovi remains active as well. The legendary rock group, led by Jon Bon Jovi, continues to perform decades after becoming one of the world's best-selling rock bands. Known for hits such as “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Always,” the band has sold more than 130 million records worldwide.

For Reeves, however, one memory still stands out. Looking back at Dogstar’s chance to open for Bon Jovi in front of thousands of fans, his reaction remains as genuine as it was in 1995.

In 1979, Supertramp released a song that would become one of the defining soft rock hits of its era, even though not everyone believed in it at first.

"The Logical Song" went on to become a worldwide hit and remains a radio staple 47 years later, despite reportedly receiving a lukewarm reaction from some at the band's record label during its early stages.

Written by Roger Hodgson, the song explored themes of identity, conformity and the loss of innocence through a deeply personal lens. Hodgson later explained that the lyrics were inspired by his own reflections on growing up and questioning how childhood wonder can gradually give way to the pressures and expectations of adulthood.

"I had these chords written," he told Louder. "I hadn’t thought much of them, to tell the truth. But then one day when I was playing the chords, I heard the melody. And as I started singing the melody, the first word that came to me was 'liberal''… Right away, I knew what I wanted to say. The song was born out of my questions about what really mattered in life."

Musically, "The Logical Song" stood out immediately.

Combining a catchy pop melody with thoughtful lyrics, distinctive keyboards and an unforgettable saxophone part, the track showcased the sophisticated songwriting that helped make Supertramp one of the most successful bands of the late 1970s.

The song appeared on the band's blockbuster album, Breakfast in America, which became one of the best-selling records of the decade and produced multiple hit singles.

Engineer Peter Henderson later recalled bringing the song to executives at the band's record label and encountering a surprisingly skeptical reaction. "There was all this shaking of heads and discussions," Henderson told Sound On Sound.

The response was so negative that he feared the worst, saying, "I was convinced that the whole thing had been totally f***ed up. It was literally a 'This is the end of my career' situation."

Despite some industry executives questioning the song's commercial potential, listeners quickly embraced it. "The Logical Song" became one of Supertramp's biggest international hits and helped introduce the band to a much broader audience around the world.

Its combination of introspective lyrics and accessible pop-rock hooks allowed it to connect with both casual listeners and devoted music fans.

Over the decades, the song has remained remarkably relevant. New generations continue discovering it through streaming platforms, classic rock radio and film and television placements.

Part of the track’s lasting appeal comes from its universal message. Questions about identity, purpose and fitting into society remain just as relatable today as they were when the song was first released.

For many fans, "The Logical Song" represents the perfect balance between intellectual songwriting and mainstream accessibility.

Nearly five decades after its debut, the track remains one of the most recognizable songs of the soft rock era, a reminder that sometimes even the songs doubted by record executives can become timeless classics.

Pillsbury is winning over fans with four new grocery store finds.

Weeks after welcoming summer with new seasonal Funfetti mixes and frostings and introducing patriotic specials perfect for this year's historic Independence Day, the iconic boxed cake mix and ready-to-make dough brand has quietly begun rolling out more bakery-style treats that seem to offer endless possibilities for enjoyment.

Some may say that any Pillsbury product can be used to make more than just the recipe on the box, and while they'd be absolutely correct (we personally love making its Cinnamon Rolls in the waffle maker), the brand's new Poppin' Flavors line—which includes two new flavored biscuits and two new fruit roll pastries—takes it to new extremes.

While the company hasn't officially announced the newcomers yet, three of the four additions are live on its website: Pillsbury Grands Poppin' Flavor Maple Biscuits, Pillsbury Grands Poppin' Flavor Apple Fruit Rolls and Pillsbury Grands Poppin' Flavor Raspberry Fruit Rolls. And it appears fans don't need any official word to know that these newcomers pack serious potential.

A third said they "Definitely wanna try the fruit rolls."

So far, shoppers have found the items at their local Hy-Vee. Since Pillsbury hasn't announced the new lineup yet, it's hard to say for sure where they will be available and for how long.

However, since their online descriptions don't mention exclusivity, we believe they should be rolling out to stores that typically carry other refrigerated Pillsbury products (prices may vary).

Francis Rossi, co-founder of the legendary rock band Status Quo, is celebrating a special milestone as he turns 77.

​On May 29, 1949, the London native was born and later established himself as a music icon after helping to launch the multi-award-winning group with chart-topping tracks.

​Through decades of performing, releasing hit songs and spending years on the road, Status Quo have built a legacy that has stood the test of time, even weathering challenging controversies.

Inside Francis Rossi’s Remarkable Rock Legacy

​What began as a schoolyard band eventually evolved into one of rock's most enduring acts. Rossi formed the group with bassist Alan Lancaster that would eventually become Status Quo, with Rick Parfitt joining on rhythm guitar and vocals and John Coghlan on drums.

​The then-aspiring musicians were able to secure a four-month residency at Butlin's holiday camp over the summer, which allowed them to transition to a full-time professional band.

​It was in 1966 that the band, performing under the name The Spectres, scored their first record deal after signing a five-year contract with Piccadilly Records but later changed their name to Traffic Jam.

However, they had to abandon the name to avoid potential legal issues with Steve Winwood’s supergroup Traffic, ultimately adopting the name Status Quo.

​The band's fortunes changed dramatically in 1968 when "Pictures of Matchstick Men" became a breakout hit after landing at No.7 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100, making it their only major hit in the U.S.

​Status Quo’s reinvention was fully embraced by listeners after releasing their fifth album, Piledriver, as the band veered away from its psychedelic pop image and opted for a heavy, boogie rock sound which became its signature style.

​"Paper Plane" was a major hit that went straight to No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart following the album’s release.

​Other songs that helped Status Quo cement its music legacy were "Don't Waste My Time,” "Big Fat Mama,” and "Roadhouse Blues," all from the same album.

​However, amid their continued success, the band also encountered a difficult period in its career.

Status Quo's Controversial BBC Radio 1 Ban

​In 1996, Status Quo underwent legal proceedings against  BBC Radio 1 after claiming that the radio station had issued a "blanket ban" on producers playing its records.

​The band filed two legal claims; the first sought judicial review of BBC policy, while the second was for damages for lost sales.

​“Someone seems to not like us at Radio 1,” Rossi mentioned at the time as cited by The Independent, adding “But the staff are not paid to be tastemakers. They should play the current Top 40, which is their remit.”

​However, years after the controversial lawsuit, the frontman admitted that he was "embarrassed" by the legal move the band had made.

​Describing it as “f—ing ridiculous,” he told The Telegraph in 2026 how he felt “very uncomfortable at the time.”

​“I remember I saw it on the news and heard me say, ‘We’re just not having it.’ And I was embarrassed by it, to be honest,” he said. Adding that the bold decision was driven by the band’s late manager, David Walker.

Paul McCartney just revealed a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift idea for significant others.

The musician recently spoke to Amanda Dimoldenberg for an episode of Chicken Shop Dateabout his late wife, LindaMcCartney.

McCartney gave his wife a very special piece of jewelry. In the interview, he admitted another A-list couple inspired the idea.

"I'd seen Aristotle Onassis gave his wives a bracelet," he said. "And so, one of them was Jackie Onassis, and so it [spelled out] J-I-L-Y: 'Jackie, I love you.'"

"And so I suddenly thought, 'Perfect!' Get Linda one and it'll be L-I-L-Y, 'Linda, I love you,'" McCartney said. "Lily. It's the perfect name to do that with."

The couple married in 1969, just a year before McCartney left the Beatles. They had three children together, and the “Hey Jude” singer adopted his wife’s daughter from a previous marriage. Linda died in 1998 from breast cancer.

McCartney looked back at her impact in Words + Music with Audible. He called his late wife a “freeing influence" on him.

“She had grown up in a posh bit of New York. She was on track to become the sort of company wife. But she didn't like that. She liked rock ‘n' roll,” McCartney shared. “And she would do things like sneak out of the house late at night and drive into New York with a boyfriend. So there was a lot of freedom in her thinking. So I think that really was good for me.”

The “Yesterday” singer added that she helped him decompress and "not to be too uptight."

"You'd be saying, ‘Oh, I'd love to do so and so but I can't.' And she'd say, ‘It's allowed.' It's like all the weight just went off,” he said. “‘It's allowed.' Yeah, of course it is!”

McCartney's latest album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, is out now.
