Be Prepared for a Riskier National Park Experience This Summer
For many travelers, summer means one thing: heading into the great outdoors. America’s national parks, iconic places like Yosemite and Grand Canyon, draw millions of visitors each year seeking scenic hikes, wildlife encounters, and a break from city life. But in 2026, the national park experience may come with new challenges and potentially greater risks.

Rising Crowds, Fewer StaffNational parks are bracing for another surge in visitors this summer, continuing a years-long trend of record-breaking attendance. At the same time, staffing levels are heading in the opposite direction.
The federal government has already reduced thousands of National Park Service positions, with additional cuts proposed in upcoming budgets. This imbalance, more visitors and fewer workers, is at the heart of the issue. Parks that were already operating at capacity are now being asked to handle even larger crowds with significantly reduced teams.
What Less Staffing Means on the GroundPark staff not only manage the visitor centers and lead expeditions through the woods, they also respond to emergencies, maintain trails, manage wildlife risks, clean facilities, and protect fragile ecosystems. With fewer employees available, experts warn that parks may struggle to maintain basic operations.
That could translate into slower emergency response times for injured or lost hikers, reduced maintenance of trails and restrooms, and fewer educational programs or guided experiences.
In some cases, visitors may encounter closed facilities, longer wait times, or less oversight in high-traffic areas. And in more extreme scenarios, safety risks could increase, especially in remote or physically demanding environments.

A More “Self-Reliant” Travel ExperienceOne of the biggest shifts this summer is the expectation that visitors will need to be more self-sufficient than in previous years.
With fewer rangers available, there may be less guidance on trail conditions, weather hazards, or wildlife activity. That means travelers will need to plan more in advance, research routes, pack the proper supplies, and understand park rules before they arrive.
Even experienced travelers may notice the difference. Something as simple as finding help quickly in an emergency could become less predictable.
This doesn’t mean parks are unsafe, but it does mean the margin for error may be smaller.
Infrastructure Strain and Environmental ImpactStaffing cuts don’t just affect visitor services; they also impact the parks themselves. Maintenance delays can lead to deteriorating trails, overflowing trash, and increased wear on natural resources. At the same time, higher visitor numbers put additional strain on already fragile ecosystems.
Some parks have experimented with reservation systems and visitor caps in recent years to manage overcrowding. But with those measures changing or being rolled back in certain areas, the pressure on infrastructure could intensify.
The result? A more crowded, less managed environment that may feel very different from the idealized national park experience.
Why This Summer Could Feel DifferentFor decades, U.S. national parks have been known for balancing accessibility with preservation. But this summer, that balance may be harder to maintain.
With staffing reductions coinciding with peak travel demand, visitors may notice fewer services, less oversight, and a greater need to navigate the parks independently.
It’s not just about convenience, it’s about expectations. Travelers who arrive prepared for a more hands-on, self-guided experience will likely have a much smoother trip than those expecting a fully supported one.

How to Prepare for a Safer VisitIf you’re planning a national park trip this summer, preparation will be key.
- Start by researching your destination thoroughly like trail conditions, weather forecasts, and any alerts issued by park officials.
- Bring more water, food, and safety gear than you think you’ll need, especially for longer hikes.
- Arriving early, visiting less crowded areas, and having a backup plan can also make a big difference in avoiding peak congestion and potential risks.
- Most importantly, don’t rely on immediate assistance being available. Treat your trip with the same level of planning you would for a remote outdoor adventure.
America’s national parks remain some of the most breathtaking destinations in the world. But this summer, the experience may come with added challenges. With fewer staff and more visitors, the responsibility for a safe and enjoyable trip is shifting, at least in part, to the traveler.
That doesn’t mean you should cancel your plans. It just means you should go in prepared, informed, and ready to take a more active role in your own adventure.
Chili's Debuts New $6 Popping Boba Marg As May's Margarita of the Month
There's nothing like an ice-cold margarita to combat the hottest days of summer.
Whether regular or with some kind of fruity spin like strawberry or mango, a blended or on-the-rocks marg can make a humid summer afternoon all the more bearable, leaving little reason to wonder about the drink's endearing popularity today.
As an extension of this, margaritas have become a trademark item of the iconic Tex Mex restaurant chain, Chili's, providing guests with numerous flavorful cocktail options to help parch their thirst.
Even when held up to the brand's extensive lineup of unique margarita offerings, however, Chili's latest cocktail innovation might very well be the company's most unique drink yet.
According to a recent press release shared with us over email, Chili's is officially getting in on the boba craze with their brand-new $6 Popping Boba Marg.
The official Margarita of the Month for Chili's May calendar, the new margarita features a subtle blend between Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, Monin Watermelon, house-made sour and Dragonfruit Popping Boba, delivering a unique flavorful profile unlike any other in the restaurant's history.
As the name might suggest, the new Popping Boba Marg takes obvious inspiration from the continued interest surrounding bubble tea among contemporary customers. Rather than the traditional tapioca pearls commonly served in boba tea, popping bubbles are far more delicate and usually feature some fruit-inspired inspiration, such as (in this case) dragonfruit.
"The Popping Boba Marg taps into what younger guests are gravitating towards: drinks that are fun, customizable and full of texture," Chili's said of the new drink. "It builds on the momentum of the Margarita of the Month program by pairing a fan-favorite platform with one of today’s most viral drink trends."
As great as the new margarita might sound, it's worth remembering that the Popping Boba Marg will only be around for a limited time starting April 30 throughout the remainder of May. With that being said, customers might want to go ahead and get theirs before it's gone!
Dave Grohl's Daughter Announces Major Update In Music Career
Dave Grohl's daughter Violet is continuing to follow in her dad's footsteps with a major milestone.
"So excited to announce my first headline shows," the 20-year-old shared on Instagram on Monday.
The daughter of the Foo Fighters icon will be hitting the road for three shows in New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. starting in June.
View this post on InstagramAnd fans couldn't contain their excitement.
"SO HYPED," one wrote.
"So happy and excited for you," added another.
"Gosh I am so excited! You are a star. Get ready baby girl," said a third.
Also among the comments were tons of requests that Violet schedule more shows across the US and Europe.
While her music talents have been on display since she was young, as she's been known to join her dad on stage over the years, Violet's career has seen major momentum recently as she's signed a record deal and released new music.

Specifically, her singles "Thum" and "Applefish," released late last year, have garnered thousands of views on YouTube. Her debut album, "Be Sweet To Me" is releasing on May 29, according to her Instagram.
While perhaps it may be easy to credit her father's connections to her success, Dave recently noted that he wasn't involved with any of his daughter's projects.
“So Violet, my daughter, she’s 19, about to turn 20, she made this album with a producer named Justin Raisen, and she did it on her own," he said in a February interview on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X. "She met the producer, and they would go to the studio every day, and she would send me songs when she was finished. But I had absolutely nothing to do with this record at all."
"I’m the dad who wants to be there and know everything, and she’s just totally doing her own thing." he added. "It’s amazing.”
Violet isn't the only daughter of Dave's to have pursued music as he recently shared that his 16-year-old Harper is featured on his recent single, "Your Favorite Toy." The record by, the same name, came out on April 24.
Dave shares Violet and Harper with Jordyn Blum whom he married in 2003.

Nedra Talley Ross, Last Surviving Member of The Ronettes, Dead at 80
Nedra Talley Ross, the last surviving member of the 1960s girl group, The Ronettes, has died at the age of 80. The singer's cause of death has not been revealed, with her death having been confirmed by her family.
On the Facebook page of the iconic girl group, they announced that Ross had died on Sunday, April 26, in her home. Their statement reads, "It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Nedra Talley Ross’ passing. She was a light to those who knew and loved her.
“As a founding member of The Ronettes, along with her beloved cousins Ronnie and Estelle, Nedra’s voice, style and spirit helped define a sound that would change music. Her contribution to the group’s story and their defining influence will live forever. Rest peacefully dear Nedra. Thanks for the magic."
Ross's daughter, Nedra K. Ross, also posted on her Facebook page about her mother's death. She reveals the singer died at approximately 8:30 that morning, and was "safe in her own bed at home with her family close, knowing she was loved." She doesn't disclose any details of a prior medical condition.

Ross was one of three cousins who banded together to form The Ronettes in the late '50s, with her signing alongside Ronnie Spector and Estelle Bennett. The American girl group from Washington Heights, New York City, began performing when they were young and caught the interest of Phil Halikus, who introduced them to Colpix Records producer Stu Phillips. Their audition was a success and landed them their first recorded tracks.
After becoming frustrated with their label, Estelle called producer Phil Spectorfor an audition. The Ronettes became a chart-topping group of the '60s with hits like "Be My Baby," "Baby, I Love You", "(The Best Part of) Breakin' Up," and "Walking in the Rain". Many may recognize "Be My Baby" for having been included in the hit dance film Dirty Dancing. They would go on to become opening acts for hit rock bands like the Rolling Stones and the Beatles.
The group would later break up in 1967, with Ronnie later marrying Spector and divorcing in 1974. Their hit track "Be My Baby" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999, with the trio later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
"We had a dream, but with a dream you need to have people behind you with your dream. For us, my mom knocked on doors when people didn’t want to hire and put under contract three young pretty girls that they said were going to change their minds down the road. I thank you for that — God knows what you’ve done," said Ross in her speech.
Ross was born on Jan. 27, 1946, and married an interviewer for The 700 Club, Scott Ross in 1967. The two were married until his death in 2023 and had four children together. After The Ronettes, Ross worked in real estate in Virginia Beach.
The Official 'Most Beautiful Place in Europe' Shockingly Isn't in Italy, Spain, or England
Europe has no shortage of breathtaking destinations. Travelers often picture the pastel cliffs of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, the sunlit plazas of Spain, or the green countryside of England. Yet according to a recent ranking of Europe’s most beautiful places, the top spot lies somewhere far less expected. Editors at Time Out recently compiled a list of Europe’s most stunning destinations and crowned Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia as the most beautiful place on the continent.
For many travelers, the result may come as a surprise. North Macedonia rarely dominates travel headlines in the way Italy or France does. But those who have visited Lake Ohrid often say the same thing. Once you see it, the ranking suddenly makes perfect sense.
Adventure starts with a click—sign up for our newsletter for travel tips and stories.
Why Lake Ohrid Was Named the Most Beautiful Place in EuropeLake Ohrid sits on the border between North Macedonia and Albania, surrounded by mountains that frame one of Europe’s oldest and deepest lakes. Scientists estimate the lake is more than three million years old, making it one of the oldest lakes on Earth.
This incredible age has helped create a unique ecosystem filled with species found nowhere else. Because of its environmental and cultural importance, the Lake Ohrid region is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
But what truly makes the destination unforgettable is the atmosphere along the lakeshore. The historic town of Ohrid rises gently above the water, its stone streets winding between medieval churches, monasteries, and terracotta-roofed houses.

The Churches and Monasteries That Define the LandscapeOne of the most iconic sights at Lake Ohrid is the Church of St. John at Kaneo, perched dramatically on a cliff above the water. The small stone church overlooks the lake, offering sweeping panoramic views across the surrounding mountains. Sunset here is legendary. As the sun drops toward the horizon, the lake turns shades of gold and deep blue.
Historically, the city of Ohrid was once an important religious center in the Balkans. Scholars often describe it as having 365 churches, one for each day of the year, though the exact number today is lower.
Walking through the town feels like stepping through layers of European history. Byzantine churches stand beside Ottoman-era architecture, while narrow streets lead to quiet lakeside viewpoints.

Why Lake Ohrid Remains One of Europe’s Best Hidden GemsDespite its remarkable beauty, Lake Ohrid still receives far fewer visitors than many Western European destinations. That relative quiet is part of its charm. Instead of cruise ship crowds or packed plazas, travelers often find peaceful waterfront promenades, small cafés overlooking the lake, and calm beaches where locals gather in the summer.
The surrounding mountains also offer hiking trails and viewpoints that reveal just how vast the lake truly is. From above, its deep blue surface stretches across the landscape like an inland sea. Tourism officials in North Macedonia have gradually been promoting the region as a cultural and nature destination while preserving its historical character.

A Reminder That Europe Still Has SurprisesLake Ohrid proves that Europe still holds landscapes capable of surprising travelers. Ancient water, centuries-old churches, and mountain views combine to create a destination that feels both historic and serene.
For travelers willing to look beyond the usual itinerary, Europe’s most beautiful place might be waiting somewhere unexpected. And in this case, it is quietly shimmering in the mountains of North Macedonia.

Kathy Griffin Says Mom Wanted to Apologize to Barbara Walters After 'Rude' Interview
Kathy Griffin is still finding ways to keep her late mother’s larger-than-life personality front and center, even if it means taking a dig at herself.
During a Friday, April 24 appearance onThe View, the comedian shared that certain stories about her mother, Maggie Griffin, continue to be a favorite part of her stand-up material for her New Face, New Tour. “People still like to hear stories about my mom and stuff she would say,” Griffin explained.
But one memory that still makes her laugh involved Maggie’s reaction to one of Kathy’s earlier appearances on the daytime talk show when co-creator Barbara Walters was still hosting.
“When I was on The View, she’d always yell at me,” Kathy said. “I thought you were too snippy with that wonderful Barbara Walters. Is there a card I can send her? Because I don’t think she’s ever had a guest as rude, Kathleen, as you!”
Kathy has also spoken previously about her own complicated history with Walters and the show. On a 2025 episode of her podcast, she claimed she was repeatedly brought in as a guest host while executives considered offering her a permanent seat at the table.

According to Griffin, she eventually asked for a final decision rather than continuing what felt like an extended audition process. She said she was later offered $1.4 million for the role, but declined because it was far below what she was earning at the height of her stand-up and television success. She also claimed Walters “did not like that one bit” after she turned it down.
Outside of revisiting old stories, Kathy has recently been making headlines for a dramatic new look. She surprised fans back in March, debuting long blonde hair on social media, leading many to assume it was a wig. She later set the record straight in a YouTube video, saying, “I did it. I actually dyed my hair this color.”
Kathy added, “This is my hair. I’ve been growing it long for a really long time, and I know it’s cheesy, and I’m too old, but I’ve always wanted to try this hair color.”
Florida Retiree Loses $200K Thanks To Devastating Fake PayPal Scam
An 85-year-old man in Florida says he lost half of his retirement savings when scammers bilked him for $200,000 using a complicated ruse involving PayPal. Now, he's sharing his story with the world in the hope that others can avoid the same mistake.
Unfortunately, it sounds like this type of fraud is becoming more common, putting seniors and everyday Americans at risk. Find out what happened and how you can spot scammers below.
Florida Man Says He Was Robbed of $200,000 in PayPal SchemeBrian Oliver shared his story on the Beyond Connected podcast, which also featured a detective from the Gainesville Police Department. In the interview, he explained how an email had popped into his inbox claiming to be from PayPal, which put everything into motion.
According to him, the email said he owed money through PayPal. Since Oliver had previously used the payment app, he believed the email was authentic and began following the steps provided online. However, once he got on the phone with a rep, things started to fall apart. That's because the rep asked Oliver to type "the number 100" onto his computer while the duo was sharing screens. However, he immediately told Oliver that he had made a mistake and didn't follow the instructions, typing 10,000 into the screen instead.
Related: New Report Sounds the Alarm About the 'Catastrophic' Effects of Social Security Cuts
That figure represented money, which the fake PayPal rep said had been transferred into Oliver's bank account. He then shared another screen with the 85-year-old, showing him a spoofed version of his bank account that appeared to show the money deposited. Next, the criminal told Oliver that he needed to withdraw the $10,000 in cash and deposit it into a crypto ATM to make things right.
After Oliver followed those steps, he once again got on the phone with the PayPal rep, who pulled the same trick, this time telling him he had accidentally transferred $200,000 into the man's bank account. Instead of having him withdraw it in cash, he instructed Oliver to liquidate his stock portfolio to buy gold coins, which were later picked up by a courier. A few days later, the scammer called back and asked Oliver to purchase $200,000 in gold coins again, which is when he realized he was being scammed and called the police.
The Scam Is Becoming a Common OneIn the end, Oliver worked with the Gainesville Police Department to set up a sting, which led to the arrest of Atharva Shailesh Sathawane, who was found guilty of committing this scam more than 30 times across multiple states, to the tune of almost $8 million.
Sathawane is looking at nearly two decades behind bars as a result of his crimes. His victims will likely never see their money again, which is why Oliver and the police are speaking out about what happened and urging retirees to be extra vigilant about these types of scams.

For example, if anyone ever contacts you claiming to be from PayPal or your bank, hang up and find the institution's direct number on its website, then call them directly. Secondly, if you're approached by someone who asks you to buy gold coins and hand them off to a third party, that should be an immediate red flag.
Lastly, these scammers operate in secrecy, often telling you not to let anyone know what is going on, either to protect yourself from suspicion or so that you don't have to pay taxes on the money you're withdrawing. Oliver and the detective both warn that a real customer service rep would never advise you against something like that.
Of course, anyone can be scammed at virtually any time, and there's no shame in admitting that you've been duped. If you think you've been tricked by a phishing scheme or through something similar to what happened to Oliver, the most important thing you can do is reach out to your local police department for help as soon as you become suspicious. While it's incredibly hard to recover money that is stolen this way, they can help you navigate what is going on and potentially prevent you from losing more money.

A Major Solar Eclipse Is Happening This Summer— Here’s the Best Place To Experience It With the Lowest Chance of Clouds
Every traveler has a moment when a place feels larger than life. A mountain sunrise. A desert full of stars. A quiet beach at dusk.
But on August 12, 2026, the sky itself will become the destination. A rare total solar eclipse will sweep across parts of the Arctic and Europe, briefly turning day into twilight as the moon completely covers the sun. The path of totality will cross eastern Greenland, western Iceland, and northern Spain, giving travelers a handful of remarkable places to witness one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles.
Adventure starts with a click—sign up for our newsletter for travel tips and stories.
The Best Place to See the 2026 Total Solar Eclipse: Segovia, SpainIf you want the clearest skies possible, Segovia, Spain, may be your best bet. Experts from Space.com estimate that this historic city has roughly a 19 percent chance of cloud cover during the eclipse, one of the lowest probabilities along the entire path of totality.
That statistic alone makes Segovia appealing. But the setting adds something magical. The recommended viewing spot overlooks the dramatic Alcázar of Segovia, a fairytale castle that famously inspired the design of the castle in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. Watching the sun disappear behind the moon while the castle silhouette darkens against the sky would feel like stepping into a fantasy novel.
The eclipse will occur just after sunset, meaning the sun will hang low above the western horizon. From Segovia’s miradors, the view stretches across the plains of Castile, providing a wide and unobstructed vantage point for the final moments before totality.
Two Other Locations With Relatively Low Cloud RiskSegovia might have the statistical edge, but it is not the only promising destination. Two other spots in Spain also offer comparatively low cloud probabilities and excellent viewing landscapes.
Becerril de Campos, SpainAnother strong contender lies in the quiet plains of Becerril de Campos in northern Spain. Historical weather records suggest about a 21 percent chance of clouds, making it another favorable location for eclipse watchers.
Castillo de Osma, SpainPerched above the Ucero River in northern Spain, Castillo de Osma offers another strong viewing opportunity, with about a 20 percent chance of clouds.
Don't miss a beat—subscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.
Why Spain May Be the Best Overall Region for Eclipse TravelThe path of totality for the 2026 eclipse stretches across multiple remote regions, including parts of Greenland and Iceland. While these places offer stunning scenery, they also come with much higher chances of cloudy skies. In Iceland, for example, some viewing locations historically experience cloud cover around 76 percent of the time, which significantly lowers the odds of a clear view.
Spain, by contrast, sits at the end of the eclipse path in a generally sunnier climate. Eclipse experts frequently highlight the Iberian Peninsula as the most promising region for clear skies during this event.
There is also a practical advantage. Spain offers easier travel logistics, reliable infrastructure, and countless scenic towns along the eclipse path. Travelers can combine the event with a broader trip exploring Spanish culture, cuisine, and landscapes.

Turning a Cosmic Event Into a Travel ExperienceI have never seen a total solar eclipse myself, but I have spoken with people who have. Almost every one of them says the same thing. It feels otherworldly. The temperature drops. Birds go quiet. The sky becomes twilight in the middle of the day.
On August 12, 2026, that moment will sweep across a few special corners of the world. And if the skies stay clear over northern Spain, travelers standing in places like Segovia or Becerril de Campos might witness one of the most extraordinary travel moments imaginable.
Kate Middleton Turns Heads While Channeling Princess Diana in Similar Ensemble
Kate Middleton attended the Anzac Day commemorations at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, marking the anniversary of the 1915 Allied landings at Gallipoli in Turkey. The Princess of Wales was seen wearing a navy and white Givenchy dress coat for the solemn occasion, an ensemble that drew attention for its classic styling.
It didn't take long for some people to notice that Middleton's outfit was similar to one that her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, wore back in 1995. According to the Daily Mail, Diana wore a Catherine Walker blue suit with white details while presenting new colors to the Light Dragoon Guards Regiment in Bergen, Germany. As you can see in the side-by-side photos below, the looks are very similar.
Kate Middleton channeled Princess Diana in a recent outing.Julian Parker/UK Press via Getty Images & Karwai Tang/WireImage
Many royal watchers commented on the photos of the two women, published by the Daily Mail.
"Diana would have been so proud of Catherine," one person wrote.
"The princess looks amazing as usual. Blessings to her and her family," someone else added.
"Looks great," a third comment read.
Of course, this isn't the first time that Middleton's style has drawn comparisons to the late Princess Diana's. Both women have been known for their impeccable style and many royal watchers often take notice when Middleton appears to channel some of Diana’s most memorable looks.
Middleton never got the chance to meet her mother-in-law as Diana died in a car accident in August 1997. Nevertheless, Diana has a special place in Middleton's heart. When Prince William proposed, he presented Middleton with a sapphire and diamond ring that belonged to his mom.
"It’s the same ring and it’s exactly the same size as when I tried it on. It’s very special. What an honor to be able to wear it," Middleton said in a video taken at the Dowlais Rugby Club in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, in April 2023, according to Today. "I never, sadly, got to meet her," Middleton continued, adding, "She’d be brilliant [with her grandchildren]. We miss her every day."

1976 No. 1 Rock Album Considered an Underrated Classic Almost Didn’t Get Made
By 1975, Led Zeppelin was one of the most popular rock bands in the world, known for such classic tracks as “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love” and “Kashmir,” and multi-million selling albums Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin IV and Physical Graffiti.
Yet, that same year the band faced adversity that threatened to derail their career. On Aug. 5, 1975, frontman Robert Plant and his wife were seriously injured in a car accident in Rhodes, Greece, which forced the band to scrap the second leg of the tour in support of Physical Graffiti. The singer traveled to Malibu, Calif. to recover and later the other members of the band—guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham--planned to join him at S.I.R. Studios in Hollywood to begin working on new material.
“It was just after Robert’s car accident,” Jones said in an interview for The Billboard Book of Number One Albums. “It was really very hard to get the group working. We were in Los Angeles, and nobody seemed to want to turn up for rehearsals and for writing sessions.”
Aside from Plant’s accident, this was around the time Page began dabbling and ultimately became addicted to heroin, the band’s manager Richard Cole wrote in his book Stairway to Heaven: Led Zeppelin Uncensored.
With the L.A. sessions scrapped, the band opted to head to Germany where they regrouped at Musicland Studios in Munich to record their seventh album, known as Presence. “There’s some good stuff on the album, but it was hard going,” Jones added.
The music on the album reflected the difficulties the band was going through at the time, with Zeppelin completely eschewing acoustic guitars on their hardest-rocking album to date. Once the band settled down in the recording studio, they worked at a record pace. It was recorded in a mere 18 days with Page, who also served as producer, putting in 18-to-20 hours a day in the studio. The quick turnaround was a necessity, since the Rolling Stones had the studio booked next to begin work on their album, Black and Blue.
“When we entered the studio, we were focused,” Jones said. “Whatever happened, we were all professionals, and when the studio is booked, we tended to settle down and do our thing, but that was probably our hardest album to make.”
Some tracks, such as “For Your Life,” were written in the studio. “Royal Orleans,” named for a French Quarter hotel in New Orleans, was the only song credited to all four members of the band on the album, a departure from the past. Plant and Page shared writing credits on the album’s other six tracks.
Still, recording the album was troublesome with Plant singing most of his vocal tracks seated in a wheelchair. During a take of “Achilles Last Stand,” the singer fell to the ground and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Despite the adversity, the mighty Led Zeppelin couldn’t be stopped. Presence reached the top of the album chart the week of May 1, 1976, in its second week on the chart, giving the band its fifth No. 1 album.
Red Bull's Summer Edition Sudachi Lime Flavor Has Fans Buzzing with Excitement: 'This Changed My Life'
It's always an exciting day whenever Red Bull announces the debut of a brand-new flavor, most especially when said flavor happens to land within the company's fan-favorite Summer Edition lineup.
With past flavors including White Beach, Strawberry Apricot and Dragon Fruit, Red Bull's Summer Edition has routinely attracted the attention of fans across the gobe. Continuing on in that same vein, the iconic energy drink brand is once again giving fans good reason to celebrate with the launch of their new Summer Edition Sudachi Lime.
For those who don't know, sudachi is a Japanese citrus fruit known for its tangy flavor profile, making it a fantastic choice for the brand's latest Summer Edition innovation.
Combining lime, sudachi and a "subtle hint of pomelo," the new flavor promises to be every bit as delicious and refreshing as Red Bull's past Summer Edition flavors (perhaps even more so!).
According to a new press release from the company, the new flavor will be sold with and without sugar, with packages including both 8.4 fl oz or 12 fl oz cans. Each can also feature an eye-catching yellow design fittingly modeled after the summer sun.
As Red Bull said of the new flavor, "It contains the same functional ingredients as Red Bull Energy Drink, but with a new, unique taste, so you can soak up every second of the season."
As expected, Red Bull's announcement has been met with overwhelming appreciation from longtime fans of the brand.
"This changed my life at Coachella," one user wrote of the new flavor on Instagram.
"The countdown to the first sip is on," added another.
Of course, as with years past, the Sudachi Lime flavor will only be around for a limited time this season. With that being said, fans can get their hands on the new energy drink on April 27 while supplies last.
Average Retirees Bring in $5,455 a Month, but Spend Nearly All of It— Here’s How To Avoid the Same Fate
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has released its 2025 survey, noting that the average retiree in the U.S. earns roughly $5,455 a month in retirement income. However, the survey also shows that they are spending around $5,119 a month, creating an unsustainable financial situation for those living on a fixed income.
So, where's all that money going? It may not be where you think, according to the survey. Keep reading to learn more, and find out how you can start planning now so that you don't end up in the same situation when you're ready to retire.
The Average Retiree Earns $5,455 a MonthThe BLS Survey is an annual report that puts together U.S. income and expenses, showing how much people are spending vs. how much they are earning. According to the 2025 report, those over 65 earn about $65,468 a year, or about $5,455 a month.
The report notes that the same age group spends around $61,432 a year, or $5,119 a month. That means most retirees in the U.S. have just $336 left over each month, which is all they have to set aside for emergencies or to save up for larger expenses, like vacations or buying a new car.

What Are Retirees Spending Their Money OnThe report also examines what people are spending their money on, highlighting how tight things get each month. According to the survey, the largest chunk of money goes towards housing expenses, which include things like taxes, utilities, insurance, and even repairs.
Next up is healthcare and transportation, which both take healthy chunks out of that monthly budget as well, creating the following breakdown:
- Housing is $1,849 a month
- Transportation is $795 a month
- Healthcare is $650 a month
- Food is $662 a month

How to Spend Less in RetirementSo, the obvious next question is how you can cut back on spending on those essentials to ensure you have more left over each month? There are a few things retirees can do to move the needle. The first would be to cut those housing costs if you can. That may mean moving to an area with lower taxes, or downsizing to a smaller house where your utilities may be less expensive.
Next, moving to a walkable community where you don't need to rely on your own car or public transit as much could make a huge dent in those transportation costs.
Now, a lot of this may sound easier said than done, especially if you live somewhere where your expenses are actually higher than the average. That's why many retirees can benefit from working with a financial advisor who can take a look at your income and spending to figure out how you can create a bigger cushion at the end of each month...not just so that you can save up for things like vacations or splurge on a night out, but so that you can continue to put money aside for emergencies or in the event that a big expense pops up.

Iconic ’70s Rock Band’s Performance Canceled Amid Weather Delay
The legendary '70s rock band Journey was forced to cancel their set at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, Saturday night following a severe weather evacuation.
Due to high-wind warnings, the California venue evacuated guests for an hour to take shelter from increasingly dangerous conditions. The LA Times reported that according to one concertgoer, palm trees were bending in half due to the force of the wind.
Once guests were allowed back onto the festival grounds, they discovered many acts were canceled or delayed. Lainey Wilson, the night's headlining act, was delayed by one hour, while Journey's set was completely scrapped.
Jonathan Cain, Todd Jensen, Deen Castronovo, Arnel Pineda, Jason Derlatka, and Neal Schon of Journey perform in concert during the "Final Frontier Tour" at Intrust Bank Arena on April 04, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas. On Sunday, Journey took to Facebook to apologize to disappointed fans. "We want to sincerely apologize to everyone at Stagecoach Festival last night," Journey guitarist Neal Schon said. "We were truly looking forward to performing for you."
Schon continued by explaining that the decision was not made by the band. "The decision to evacuate and cancel the show was not made by us. It was issued and communicated to our team during the emergency situation," he said. "The safety of our fans, crew, and everyone on site had to come first. We’re deeply sorry we couldn’t take the stage and share that moment with you. We appreciate your support, patience, and the incredible energy you bring every night."

1993 Box Office Smash Named in Most Universally Loved Movies of All Time
Dinosaurs, danger, dream direction! What’s not to love? An adaptation of Michael Crichton's 1990 novel, Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Parkwas an instant classic and a massive success at the box office, enduring today as one of the “Most Universally Beloved Movies of All Time.”
In a recent ranking published by Collider, the film is named-checked near the top at No. 4, with only Star Wars, The Godfather, and The Shawshank Redemption coming in ahead. And we love to see it.
View this post on InstagramJurassic Park is a masterclass in suspense and spectacle, unfolding at a secret theme park where its wealthy founder has cloned prehistoric DNA into living, breathing, teething dinosaurs. Before opening the park to the public, he invites a select group of researchers to experience it for themselves. And at first, it’s a tranquil, magical interaction. Until it’s not — and rogue dinos are turning everything in their paths into dinner.
Spielberg said he wanted the film to be a highly immersive “Jaws on land.” He added in a 2013 interview, “I was gambling a lot of Universal’s money on a brand-new technology that had never been tested, to create leading characters conceptually leading animal characters, to launch a film, and that was the greatest risk I’ve even undertaken.” We’d say he succeeded admirably.
Starring Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Richard Attenborough, and Jeff Goldblum, among others, Spielberg’s blockbuster not only infused seamless visual effects and CGI, but it unleashed an unforgettable score by the brilliant John Williams, influenced decades of filmmaking, and launched a fledgling franchise that’s still roaring today.
Released in June 1993, the film cleaned up at the 66th Academy Awards, winning all three of the awards it was nominated for. This year, the creature feature will celebrate its 33rd anniversary and has the follow-up to Jurassic World Rebirth to look forward to in the coming years. Now that’s a monstrous legacy.

Stagecoach Fans Stunned As Hootie & the Blowfish Bring Out Ultimate Surprise Guest
Musical boundaries can often be fuzzy at major festivals but the final night of country music event Stagecoach 2026 pushed that concept to a whole new level. As Hootie & the Blowfish neared the end of their high-energy set they added a twist to the '90s nostalgia. The massive crowd was already buzzing from a string of radio hits when Darius Rucker paused to introduce a pair of guests who represented a completely different corner of the musical landscape.
Public Enemy icons Chuck D and Flavor Flav joined the band on stage for a performance. The transition began with a cover of the Buffalo Springfield classic For What It's Worth (more on that later) which Hootie has frequently used to highlight social awareness. However the energy surged when the recognizable siren-like opening of Fight the Power began to blare. Seeing the legendary hip-hop duo sharing a microphone with one of the most successful pop-rock bands of all time was something few in the audience could have predicted. You can watch it here.
This isn't the first time the legendary hip-hop pioneers have switched up genres, or even the first time they've engaged with that specific Buffalo Springfield song. In the title song for Spike Lee's 1998 He Got Game starring Denzel Washington, Public Enemy brought in Buffalo Springfield's Stephen Stills to play guitar and sing the hook from the classic song.
Chuck D is also teaming up with and Doors drummer John Densmore on a musical project called doPE. Another unexpected genre-bending collaboration that just cleared a major legal hurdle and is heading towards production.
For the attendees at the Empire Polo Club the sight of these two legendary groups together was a reminder of the unexpected joy found in live performances. It was a stark contrast to the standard country-pop fare that usually defines the weekend and it provided a welcome layer of depth to the festival finale.
As the performance concluded it was clear that Hootie & the Blowfish had successfully crafted a highlight that will be discussed for years to come. In an era where festival lineups often feel predictable (a complaint from this year's Coachella) this was a genuine surprise that respected the history of both groups.
