Channing Tatum is causing a stir online after he posted a cryptic message to Instagram following news his ex-fiancée Zoë Kravitz is engaged to Harry Styles.

On Monday, Apr. 27, People confirmed the actress and pop star are engaged following days of speculation. The couple were first romantically linked in August 2025.

Shortly after the engagement was confirmed, Tatum shared a poem by John Roedel to his Instagram Story which reads in part, "my brain and heart divorced/a decade ago/over who was to blame about how big of a mess I have become/eventually, they couldn't be in the same room with each other."

"Read..." Tatum captioned the post.

After a screenshot of Tatum's story was shared to social media, fans began speculating that it was a reaction to Kravitz and Styles' upcoming nuptials.

"CHANNING TATUM CANT BE SERIOUS LMAOO," wrote one user on X. "liked cause i feel the same way channing tatum." joked another.

"maybe channing tatum and [Styles' ex] olivia wilde should call each other up to mourn together," added a third. "channing tatum crying about zoë kravitz and harry styles' engagement when he has a 26 year old girlfriend, men are pathetic af." said a fourth.

Tatum and Kravitz began dating in 2021, before announcing their engagement in 2023. In October 2024, it was reported that they had split up.

Prior to their relationship, Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman from 2019 to 2021 while Tatum was married to Jenna Dewan from 2009 to 2019, whom he shares daughter Everly.

Tatum has been dating 26-year-old Australian model and entrepreneur Inka Williams since early 2025.

It could be said that disco is perhaps the most cheerful, upbeat genre of pop music in history. (Can you even think of a sad disco song?) Considering disco's roots are in underground dance clubs, it makes sense that pretty much every hit tune is designed to make listeners get up and boogie. But what was the first disco song to top the charts?

That depends on who you ask, but many music fans and historians believe it was "Rock the Boat" by The Hues Corporation. Released in early 1974 as the third single from the group's debut album, Freedom for the Stallion, the song wasn't a huge success...at first.

As Stereogum reported, "Rock the Boat" was popular in the NYC club scene months before the rest of the country caught on, finally sending it to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 6, 1974, where it stayed for one week.

Even though it helped to usher in the whole disco movement, some think "Rock the Boat" sounds more like pop than disco. In an interview with Classic Bands, singer St. Clair Lee addressed the issue of the track's true identity.

"It was a song that you could do anything on," he said. "You could cuddle or you could get crazy if you wanted to. It was a love song without being a love song. But, it was a disco hit and it happened because of the discos."

"When we first came out, we had a song called 'Freedom for the Stallion,'" Lee continued. "If you could get a copy of that and listen to that song, you would see that the group had a classic going there. Nobody knew The Hues Corporation. 'Freedom for the Stallion' was the most beautiful song. The Black stations wouldn't play it because they said we were too white. I'm serious when I say this. The white stations wouldn't play it because they said they didn't understand what we were talking about. They said no, we're gonna go out with 'Miracle Maker.' Then all of a sudden, 'Rock the Boat' took off."

'Rock the Boat' was The Hues Corporation's only #1 hit

 Unfortunately, "Rock the Boat" was The Hues Corporation's last #1 hit, though a second song, "Rockin' Soul," broke the top 20 in 1974, landing at #18.

"The record company said 'you got to come up with something similar,'" Lee recalled.

"We didn't want to come up with something similar to 'Rock the Boat.' They didn't understand where we were coming from," he said. "They didn't understand what we were about. Then, we got into a fight with the record company, which was a shame and I don't put them down. Then we had another song after that called 'I Caught Your Act.' It goes on the chart. It goes in Billboard and all of a sudden...and this was on another record company, they killed it because they wanted to push somebody else. Why would they do that? Figure it out. It's politics. Politics is like music. I tell young kids coming up today, 'hey, you want to get into this business, you better be ready to starve.'"

All these years later, at least "Rock the Boat" is still getting plenty of airplay.

On this day in 1994, Melrose Place delivered one of TV’s most unforgettable twist endings, shocking more than 17.5 million viewers with a wig reveal that helped turn the series into true watercooler television.

During its second season, the Beverly Hills, 90210spinoff was still finding its identity, even after the arrival of special guest star Heather Locklear helped save the series. But it was Kimberly Shaw’s (Marcia Cross) storyline that truly got viewers talking.

According to Cross, Kimberly was originally meant to appear in just one episode. “The part was for a doctor, which sounded cool,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Kimberly was introduced as a doctor, opposite Thomas Calabro’s Michael Mancini. The two quickly connected, with sparks flying, and the married apartment manager soon began an affair with her.

Michael and Kimberly became a popular pairing, but Micheal’s wandering eye soon caused new troubled when he heated with his ex-wife Jane’s sister, Sydney.

After Michael tried to win Kimberly back, a drunk-driving crash appeared to kill her, temporarily ending the romance.

Cross later recalled, “They just kept asking me to come back even though they’d had Kimberly dying. I was told, ‘We have an idea of how you can come back.’”

Season 2 eventually revealed Kimberly had survived the crash, and that her mother told Michael she had died in an effort to keep them apart.

Prior to Kimberly’s return into his life, Michael had reunited with Sydney again, but immediately dumped her upon Kimberly’s reentrance to his life.  

But something was clearly wrong. Kimberly began suffering severe headaches and unexplained pain.

Then in the closing moments of the episode, came the moments fans still remember. Kimberly rose from the bed, walked into the bathroom, removed her wig, and exposed a massive scar on the side of her head.

Cross recalled flying up from San Diego, where she was performing in a play, to the set in Oxnard, “going from Shakespeare to pulling off a wig to show a scar.” She shared, “After that twist, and seeing how people went a kooky for it, I realized, ‘Oh god, this is real!’” she said.

Kimberly’s storyline only got wilder from there, including running Michael over, framing Jane and Sydney, and detonating bombs around the apartment complex in the Season 3 finale.

Paramount Plus has released a compilation of some of Kimberly's best moments, including the jaw dropping scar scene, which can be viewed below.

After 114 episodes, Kimberly ultimately died during the show’s fifth season following an aneurysm. However, her impact on television history continues to be talked about today, 32 years later.

To get a clearer answer, I asked three highly respected professional chefs to share their favorite way to cook eggs at home. Their responses all had the same underlying message: keep it simple.

That seems like an easy enough concept, and according to the professionals, one that can completely change how your next egg dish will turn out.

• Javauneeka Jacobs is the co-head chef at Chicago's Frontera Grill, the Michelin Bib Gourmand flagship of Rick Bayless' award-winning restaurant group. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, she trained across multiple Bayless concepts and rose through the ranks to leadership. She gained national recognition after winning a Julia Child–themed episode of Chopped, beating 16 competitors. Chef Jacobs has built a reputation for precision, execution, and a strong connection to seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking.
• Adam Howard is the executive chef at the University Club of New York and a Michelin-recognized chef with a background that spans some of the country's most respected kitchens. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, he has worked with notable chefs including Waldy Malouf and David Burke, and has held leadership roles at restaurants such as Volt with Bryan Voltaggio and the Michelin-starred Blue Duck Tavern, where he helped earn and maintain a Michelin star. His career also includes serving as culinary director for high-profile catering operations and cooking for presidents and various heads of state.
• Daniel Lugovtsov worked his way up in professional kitchens, starting as a dishwasher before rising through the ranks to chef roles in New York. His experience includes time at Michelin-starred Per Se under Thomas Keller, Pastis in Miami, and other high-end kitchens. Chef Lugovstov is currently opening a new restaurant, Slim's Steakhouse, in Miami with James Beard award-winning restaurateur Stephen Starr.

What To Look for When Buying Eggs

Before the technique even comes into play, all three chefs emphasized starting with quality ingredients. Fresh eggs tend to have firmer whites and more structured yolks, which makes a noticeable difference in how they cook. That structure is especially important for methods like poaching, but it also improves the texture of scrambled eggs and omelets.

Sourcing matters, too. Eggs from well-raised hens often have richer yolks and more flavor, which means you don't have to rely on extra ingredients to make them taste good.

In other words, better eggs make better eggs—no matter how you cook them.

The Best Way To Make Eggs, According to 3 Chefs

When I talked to each chef, their answers all came back to the same idea. More important than the specific preparation is how you treat the egg. It's about restraint—keeping things simple, handling it gently, and letting the egg speak for itself.

According to chef Javauneeka Jacobs, "poached eggs are always my go-to." She explains that a minimalist cooking approach allows the richness of the egg to take center stage, rather than seasonings or sauces. For her eggs, chef Jacobs brings water to a gentle simmer, adds a small amount of vinegar, and stirs to create a whirlpool before dropping the egg into the center. "Then you don't do anything. You just let the egg cook." It simmers undisturbed until the whites are set while the yolk stays soft.

Chef Adam Howard echoes the minimalist approach, especially when the eggs are very fresh, stating, "When the ingredient is good, simple is the way to go. As in most things food-related, you're only as good as your ingredients." His preferred method is a soft scramble, cooked slowly in butter over a low flame and finished with a dab of crème fraîche and flaky sea salt to enhance the eggs' natural richness. "It's the kind of breakfast that doesn't try too hard—but delivers every time."

Chef Daniel Lugovtsov pointed to the delicate French omelet as his favorite, describing it as a dish that took weeks of repetition to master. "I took much pride in learning how to perfect the technique and achieve that texture and flavor." Known for its creamy, custard-like consistency, the French omelet showcases the egg's rich flavor through preparation and simplicity of ingredients: eggs, butter and salt.

The common thread isn't a specific method—it's control, restraint, and letting the egg speak for itself. Across all three chefs, there was a clear emphasis on dialing things back. Lower heat, fewer ingredients, and a willingness to let the eggs do the work.

It's not about doing more—it's about doing just enough.

Chef-Approved Tips for Making Eggs 10x Better

If you want to make better eggs, these chef-backed tips can make a noticeable difference in the outcome of your dish:

1. Turn the heat down

Eggs cook quickly, and high heat can easily lead to overcooking. High temperatures draw moisture from the eggs, resulting in a firmer, more rubbery texture. Lower heat settings allow the eggs to set slowly, retaining moisture and allowing for more control over "doneness."

2. Don't rush the process

Whether you're poaching, scrambling or making an omelet, patience pays off. Slow cooking prevents proteins from firming up too quickly, resulting in a more tender, custard-like texture.

3. Don't fight them

Allow the eggs to cook without overworking them. Too much stirring and mixing can break down their texture and structure.

4. Pull them slightly early

Eggs continue to cook off the heat, so stopping just before they're done helps avoid overcooking.

5. Keep it simple

As all three chefs showed, great eggs don't need much—just attention, restraint and a thoughtful approach to preparation. That simplicity is what elevates a simple egg dish. Remember: It's not about mastering eggs. It's about not overworking them.

In 1985, one of cinema's most legendary directors released a sweeping epic that would resonate around the world.

Ran, directed by Akira Kurosawa, has since been ranked among the best movies of all time by Rotten Tomatoes, cementing its place as a landmark in global film history.

Inspired by William Shakespeare's King Lear, Ran tells the story of an aging warlord who divides his kingdom among his sons only to watch as betrayal, ambition and violence tear his empire apart. The film unfolds as a tragic exploration of power, family and the devastating consequences of human pride.

"I had the idea of writing something about the sixteenth-century Japanese warlord Mori Motonari, who had three sons," said Kurosawa in a 1986 interview. "And, having written an outline of the script, it suddenly occurred to me that it was very similar to King Lear, so I went back and read that again, and developed it from that point. Motonari had three very good and loyal sons, so I started thinking about what would have happened if they hadn’t been loyal, and developed a fiction around the actual character."

Known for its breathtaking visuals, Ran stands out for its incredible battle sequences and vivid use of color, with Kurosawa crafting scenes that feel both operatic and deeply personal. The film's scope and artistry marked a triumphant late-career achievement for the director, who had already influenced generations of filmmakers.

Despite being produced late in Kurosawa's career, Ran became a major international success, earning widespread critical acclaim and multiple Academy Award nominations. It ultimately won the Oscar for Best Costume Design, further highlighting its visual brilliance.

The film's global reception helped solidify Kurosawa's reputation as one of the greatest directors and auteurs of all time, bringing his work to new audiences beyond Japan.

Decades later, Ran continues to be studied and celebrated for its storytelling, visual innovation and emotional depth.

"'How did Lear acquire the power that, as an old man, he abuses with such disastrous effects? Without knowing his past, I've never really understood the ferocity of his daughters' response to Lear's feeble attempts to shed his royal power," Kurosawa told The New York Times in 1985. "In Ran I've tried to give Lear a history. I try to make clear that his power must rest upon a lifetime of bloodthirsty savagery. Forced to confront the consequences of his misdeeds, he is driven mad. But only by confronting his evil head on can he transcend it and begin to struggle again toward virtue.''

With its inclusion among the best movies of all time, the film stands as a timeless classic that proves Kurosawa's vision only grew more powerful with time.

Fifty-two years ago, the iconic '70s singer Elton John topped the Billboard Hot 100 with his timeless cover of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

Released on November 15, 1974, as a standalone single and later featured on Elton John's Greatest Hits Volume II in 1977, John's version of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was a huge success. Upon its release, the cover climbed up the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 1 for two consecutive weeks.

The track was not just a U.S. triumph, it also dominated global charts, reaching No. 10 on the U.K. Singles Chart, No. 1 in Canada and No. 3 in Australia. On January 29, 1975, the song was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling 1 million copies in the U.S. alone.

Produced by Gus Dudgeon via MCA Records, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is recognizable for its high-energy glam-pop sound that contrasted sharply with the Beatles' original psychedelic version. John puts his own spin on the track, completely reinterpreting it to align with his personal theatrical style.

Originally written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, John brought the lyrics to life, using his powerful voice to amplify the song's vivid imagery and allusions to the story of Alice in Wonderland. John paid homage to the original rendition by featuring Lennon as a guitarist and backup vocalist, who was credited under the pseudonym "Dr. Winston O'Boogie."

It takes a true star for music persevere for decades, and John achieved exactly that. Even though the song was released over five decades ago, new listeners continue to connect with it. While Jack Mason and Shyanne Blankenship left Temptation Island season 2 very clearly not together, Mason's villa fling Erin Carter (who goes by her last name on the show) says they've been secretly back together since very shortly after filming ended.

In an interview with Reality Steve, Carter said that her summer romance continued with Mason after filming, with the pair spending a day together in Hawaii right after the final bonfire where both Mason and Blankenship agreed to walk away from their "toxic" relationship.

Even after getting back to San Diego, where she lives, Carter continued having conversations with Mason, inviting him to visit her and asking him about whether or not he'd been meeting girls in his new single life. However, the brunette beauty got a surprise one month later.

"Recently I found out [Jack] and Shyanne were back together basically the second they got home, and she knew that me and Jack were still talking," Carter said. "I guess about a month in is when they decided to like cut everyone off."

"So then I was blocked from Jack, blocked from Shyanne, and that was it," she said, insisting "they fully got back together, fully are back together," but that they don't want people to know.

In the Temptation Island season 2 reunion on The Viall Filesfollowing the finale, both Blankenship and Mason claimed they were still broken up, but they did admit to having an intense talk one month after filming where they shared every detail on what happened with the singles on the show. They also confirmed they cut off their other connections following the chat.

"I would say that conversation was productive," said Blankenship. "Jack was like, I still want you like in my life. I still want to be friends with you... We've been together for so long that I think that's the best, and that's where we kind of just came to the conclusion of everybody from the show needs to go."

Kendra Duggar has entered a not guilty plea in her child endangerment case.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Kendra, 27, entered the plea on Thursday, Apr. 23, in her case against the State of Arkansas.

Kendra’s lawyer also submitted a motion to dissolve the no contact order against her alleged victims on Apr. 17.

Per the documents, the unnamed victims “have expressed a desire to have contact” with Kendra as she “complied” with the order’s terms.

Later that day, a judge signed off on the request and dissolved the no contact order.

“It is further ordered that the Arkansas Department of Human Services is authorized to supervise, communicate and facilitate reunification between the Defendant and the individuals previously covered in the no contact order,” the judge’s ruling read.

Kendra's husband Joseph Duggar was previously arrested and charged for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor, on Mar. 18.

Two days later, Joseph, 31, and Kendra were hit with additional child endangerment charges—unrelated to Joseph’s initial case.

Kendra was released from jail shortly following her arrest after posting a $1,470 bond. Joseph, for his part, was released from custody in Florida after posting a $600,000 bond on Mar. 31.

The couple have been married since 2017 and share four young children.

Sullivan’s Crossing is back for Season 4, but without a major cast member. Scott Pattersonleft the series ahead of the new season.

Patterson was an OG cast member on Sullivan’s Crossing, playing Harry "Sully" Sullivan since Season 1. However, when Season 4 premiered, Maggie (Morgan Kohan) revealed that her dad, Sully, had left The Crossing.

The reason for Patterson's exit from Sullivan’s Crossing depends on whom you ask. Showrunner Roma Roth broke the news that the Gilmore Girls star was exiting the series ahead of the new season.

Roth explained that the reason was simply storyline-dedicated since Sully ended Season 3 by agreeing to go on a trip to Ireland with his girlfriend, Helen (Kate Vernon). Patterson, though, has a different version of why he left Sullivan’s Crossing.

“Every actor knows what it’s like to fall in love with a character and a story. I fell in love with Sully and have nothing but fondness for him. The creative differences were becoming untenable and I just sadly realized that the show was not something that I could agree to continue,” he shared in an Instagram post breaking his silence on his exit.

Patterson explained that the implication that his departure was a storyline reason for Sully was unfortunate. He called what was being told as the opposite of the truth, calling it sad that people who know the truth have changed the narrative.

“I was not intending to make any statement but the fans of the books and the show deserve to know the truth as I have always been respectful of those who support this industry by watching and loving these characters we are so dang lucky and blessed to portray and bring to life,” the actor expressed.

The Gilmore Girls fan favorite ended his statement by sharing his love for playing Sully, especially since the show is based on the Sullivan’s Crossing books by Robyn Carr. Patterson praised the richness of the character of Sully on the show and in the books.

Sullivan’s Crossing fans were the reason Patterson felt the need to make sure Sully was portrayed correctly and to let them know why Sully and Patterson are no longer on the show.

Bruce Kulick, the legendary '80s and '90s guitarist for iconic bands such as KISS and Union, has provided fans with an exciting update following his recent heart surgery. The guitarist shared the news via Instagram last Thursday, announcing that the procedure was a success.

Kulick has been transparent about his health throughout his career. The guitarist was born with an aortic birth defect which recently created a dangerous situation in his heart valve. While the surgery was a planned operation rather than an emergency procedure, as clarified by Kulick and his wife Lisa, fans remained concerned for the rock star’s well-being.

It's hard to pinpoint any book that has had as lasting of an impact on true crime as In Cold Blood.

The bestselling work by Truman Capote has been ranked among the greatest books of all time by The Greatest Books, a site that compiles and weights rankings from numerous credible literary lists to determine consensus classics. Its placement reflects both critical acclaim and its influence across generations of readers, not to mention the genre.

Published in 1966, In Cold Blood tells the real-life story of the 1959 murders of the Clutter family in Kansas. What set the book apart was Capote's approach, blending journalistic reporting with novelistic storytelling, a style he famously described as the "nonfiction novel." The result was a gripping, deeply psychological narrative that explored not only the crime itself, but the lives of both the victims and the perpetrators.

"Several admirable reporters--Rebecca West for one, and Joseph Mitchell and Lillian Ross--have shown the possibilities of narrative reportage; and Miss Ross, in her brilliant 'Picture,' achieved at least a nonfiction novella. Still, on the whole, journalism is the most underestimated, the least explored of literary mediums," Capote told The New York Times in 1966 of his unconventional style.

The book is widely credited with shaping the modern true crime genre, setting a template for countless works that followed. Its detailed character studies and immersive storytelling elevated it beyond a simple retelling of events, turning it into a landmark in American literature.

"When I first formed my theories concerning the nonfiction novel, many people with whom I discussed the matter were unsympathetic," Capote explained. "They felt that what I proposed, a narrative form that employed all the techniques of fictional art but was nevertheless immaculately factual, was little more than a literary solution for fatigued novelists suffering from 'failure of imagination.' Personally, I felt that this attitude represented a 'failure of imagination' on their part."

The story has been adapted multiple times for the screen, beginning with In Cold Blood, a stark and critically acclaimed film that stayed closely aligned with Capote's original narrative. A later television adaptation further revisited the story for new audiences.

Capote's own experience writing the book became the subject of the film Capote, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal. The film explores Capote's complex relationship with the case and the emotional toll of immersing himself so deeply in the lives of the killers.

Decades after its release, In Cold Blood remains both celebrated and debated, praised for its innovation while raising ethical questions about the boundaries between journalism and storytelling.

"I think I have a really great gift, and I owe it somehow to get it out!" Capote told Vogue in 1979. "But I have to get it out the best possible way, and that is what makes an artist have a career: it is this integrity of holding on, holding on, holding on no matter what."

With its inclusion among the greatest books of all time, the novel stands as a true crime classic, one that forever changed how real-life stories are told.

A film director is the creative leader of a movie production and is responsible for all things like interpretation and management of the artistic aspect, but sometimes, they risk it all.

This was the case for the late French filmmaker and actor Jacques Tati, who famously went bankrupt after his 1967 film, Playtime. Also writing, directing and starring in the comedy film, he reprises his role of Monsieur Hulot from his earlier films: Vacances de Monsieur Hulot and Mon Oncle. Despite its commercial failure during its release, it became Tati's most daring work and eventually ranked as one of the greatest films of all time, according to Rotten Tomatoes, a popular movie ranking site.

To create his vision for Playtime, he built an entire functioning city set, known as "Tativille," right outside of Paris, complete with its own power plant and roads. Trying to create a futuristic version of France's capital, the construction of the set and filming needed a massive budget, and it was one of the most expensive French films to ever be made. To completely finance the project, he mortgaged his previous successful films and his own home.

In addition, the late director and actor insisted on filming Playtime in 70mm, which is very expensive, but large enough to capture each scene. Filming took a span of three years, from 1964 to 1966.

Playtime is not your typical comedy movie, though. The movie runs a little over two and a half hours, and there are very few lines of dialogue. Instead of leaning on monologues, jokes or one-liners, the story and the comedic effect of Playtime are entirely visual. Despite its differences from today's comedies, it inspired many of today's household filmmakers, including David Lynch and Wes Anderson.

Playtime flopped at the box office during its release because it was very different from his previous movies. Due to the poor reviews, it failed to secure a wider U.S. release. The failure of the comedy film, which also starred Barbara Dennek, Rita Maiden, France Rumilly and more, resulted in Tati's production company, Specta Films, being placed into administration and eventually closed down in 1974. To settle his debt, Tati was forced to sell the rights to his films and his personal home.

Tati didn't give up, and he created a new production company and reprised Hulot in a more modest film titled Trafic in 1971. He created another movie named Parade three years later, which ended up being his last film, before his death in November 1982 at 75 years old.

Years after his death, his children, Sophie and Pierre, started working on regaining the rights to their father's film and maintaining his legacy. The film that almost destroyed him ended up being his magnum opus, and it still makes an impact almost 60 years later.

Whitney continued, "We are in our newborn bubble, and I never want to leave!!😍 The last few days have been some of the sweetest of my life. I can’t wait to share more with y'all. Thanking Jesus for all his blessings on me and my little family!"

In the featured image, Whitney held her daughter on her chest while lying in a hospital bed as she and Zach looked lovingly at their newborn. Several other shots showed mom, dad, and baby shortly after the birth. As of writing, they had not revealed their daughter's name.

The former reality TV personalities have been married since 2013 and share five other kids: Bradley, 11, Kaci, 9, Khloé, 6, Jadon, 4, and Lily Jo, 2.
