Doritos Is Finally Bringing This Cult-Favorite International Flavor to the U.S.
There's nothing snack lovers enjoy more than spotting a flavor that used to be out of reach suddenly popping up stateside. For months, fans of bold chips have been whispering about a garlicky new Doritos flavor available only in Canada. Now, those rumors are turning into real-life sightings, and shoppers are racing to track it down.
Doritos has officially dropped its Ultimate Garlic Parm flavor in the United States, marking the first widespread American release of the once Canada-exclusive snack. The garlic Parmesan chips first built a cult following abroad, where fans praised the intensely savory seasoning and creamy, cheesy finish. Now, Doritos is giving American shoppers a chance to see what the hype is about.
Early reports from food bloggers like @snackolator indicate that large bags of the new Doritos Ultimate Garlic Parmesan chips are landing at Sam's Club, with smaller bags expected to roll out at additional retailers. As with many limited snack launches, availability may vary by region.
A Cult-Favorite Garlic Parmesan Flavor Crosses the Border View this post on InstagramDoritos fans who've tried the Canadian version describe the Garlic Parm flavor as bold, heavily seasoned and unapologetically savory. Some say the chips taste like a zesty ranch base layered with sharp Parmesan and punchy garlic.
The move to bring this international Doritos flavor to the U.S. feels pretty strategic. Summer is prime time for shareable snacks, backyard gatherings and bold chips that stand out on a party table. Garlic Parmesan is already a popular seasoning across wings, fries and savory snacks, so it makes sense that Doritos would tap into that demand.

Where to Find the New Doritos ChipsSo far, the most consistent sightings of Doritos Ultimate Garlic Parmesan chips have been at Sam's Club in large-format bags. However, smaller bags are expected to hit additional grocery stores and big-box retailers soon. Some online platforms are already showing listings, suggesting a wider distribution is underway.
If history is any indication, new Doritos launches can disappear quickly once word spreads. Fans who have been waiting for these Garlic Parm chips to arrive in the U.S. may want to keep an eye on local shelves. Between the cult following, strong early reactions and Doritos' track record for bold snacks, this release could be one of the season's most talked-about chips.

Taylor Swift Countdown: Fans in a Frenzy Over Since-Deleted Timer & Possible 'Toy Story' Connection
A Taylor Swift countdown that reportedly appeared on the pop star's website left fans in a frenzy—and now, Swifties are speculating about a possible Toy Story connection.
On Thursday, April 30, a mysterious countdown popped up on the "Fate of Ophelia" singer's site, according to fans. Let's take a closer look.
Was There a Taylor Swift Countdown Posted on Her Website? The reported countdown on Swift's website featured a blue background with white clouds, similar to the wallpaper in Andy's room in the Disney-Pixar movies. Yellow numbers counted down to May 2, but with no explanation.
Although it has since been deleted, screenshots quickly circulated on social media, prompting Swifties to go on a deep dive over its potential meaning.

Someone else shared, "I’m so excited OMFG what could it be," as another echoed, "WHAT IS HAPPENING."
One fan joked, "I ain’t gotta… knock on Woody 😏," of Swift's track "Wood," as a second quipped, "Wood (Bo Peep's Version)."

Someone else commented, "My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys (Woody's Version)."
A different fan pointed out, "It just disappearing from the website makes me think the countdown wasn't supposed to happen today 😭."

'70s Rock Band Released First No. 1 Hit Song 19 Years After Forming
Sometimes, chart success doesn't come right away, even for the most enduring artists.
For Heart, that long-awaited moment arrived in 1986 with "These Dreams," the band's first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, nearly two decades after they first formed in the late 1960s.
By the time "These Dreams" was released in 1985, Heart had already built a loyal fanbase and a reputation for blending hard rock with emotional ballads. But the song marked a turning point, helping the band reach a new level of mainstream success.
Written by Martin Page and Bernie Taupin, "These Dreams" stood out for its softer, more atmospheric sound. It also featured a lead vocal from Nancy Wilson, rather than her sister Ann, an unexpected shift that added to the song's distinctive feel.
"We were fish out of water for the first part of the '80s, and then we grabbed on to the Prince & The Revolution vibe with the stylists, and worked with other songwriters," Nancy Wilson told Guitar World. "We'd only written our own songs up until then, but 'Alone' and 'These Dreams' and 'What About Love' are great songs that could be out of any era."
With its dreamy production and introspective lyrics, the track resonated with listeners, offering something different from the band's earlier, heavier hits. That evolution paid off, as the song climbed the charts and ultimately reached the top spot.
The achievement was especially significant given how long Heart had been working toward it. Formed years earlier and already successful by many measures, the band's first No. 1 hit felt like both a breakthrough and a validation of their staying power.
"These Dreams" helped usher in a new era for Heart, proving they could adapt to changing musical trends while still maintaining their identity.
"It was a real interesting switcheroo culturally in the '80s after the mind-expanded '60s. With new wave and then MTV came along, the studio and recording technology changed to be more digital," Wilson told Skate Fantom.
"The music fashion changed, with MTV, it became more about image making than it was about the music. That part was a way less comfortable fit, because we were not from LA. We were street urchins from Seattle, hippie girls. We didn't have the big city, industry town mentality like LA. Which was all about what you’re going to wear, the makeup, the hair, the lighting."
Decades later, the song remains one of the band'’'s most recognizable hits, a timeless anthem that shows sometimes the biggest milestones come later than expected, but are all the more meaningful because of it.

4 Zodiac Signs That Make the Best Pet Parents
There’s something so special about the bond between a person and their pet. Animals add so much to our lives through the simplicity of daily moments of morning routines, companionship, and just the way an animal instinctively knows when you need a little extra comfort. Some people naturally step into that caretaker role with ease that their pets feel immediately.
The key to that innate ability may lie in your birthdate. In astrology, certain star signs are more attuned to parenting a pet. Whether it’s through emotional connection, consistency, physical comfort, or pure heart-led affection, these four zodiac signs care for their animals in ways that make them feel treasured, nurtured, and supported at home.
Which Zodiac Signs Make the Best Pet Parents?Check for your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs.
CancerNo one nurtures like a Cancer! Protective, intuitive, and deeply sensitive, a pet parent born under the sign of the cosmic crab isn’t just going to own a pet; they are going to deeply bond with them! They get to know what their animal companion needs in a way that is so spot on, it almost feels telepathic. They pick up on everything, noticing even the slightest shift in behavior, emotions, or appetite, and respond immediately, ensuring their pets feel understood and cherished in every way. Cancers appreciate a sense of coziness for themselves, so, of course, they ensure their pets receive that same care through soft blankets, making favorite sleeping spots always available, and even making room in their own beds for their beloved animals.

VirgoThoughtful and devoted, Virgos show their care through undivided attention to those they love, and this intentional love naturally extends to their pets. Consistency is key, so structure is a major part of how they parent their pets: feeding time will be the same every day, regular vet appointments will never be missed, and everything their pet needs will be kept clean, tidy, and well-maintained. This sort of predictability can be quite comforting for a pet, as it creates a steady, stable environment. Virgos hold themselves to high standards in all matters, including the care they offer their pets. They are always on the lookout for little ways to improve their pet’s daily life, making adjustments as they research or as their pets’ needs shift. That level of care and attention to detail creates an environment that feels not just stable but truly supportive.

TaurusPatient, practical, and reliable, Tauruses take their role as a pet parent seriously. They are very loyal so once they commit to an animal, that bond is for life. Tauruses love luxury, and that will be extended to their pets as well, even if it’s a bit indulgent. A Taurus’s pet will be spoiled with only the best of the best: extra treats, high-quality beds, the best toys, and organic food. It wouldn’t be surprising to find out that a Taurus is in the kitchen cooking every meal for their pets, or even hiring a personal chef for them! Nothing is too good for those they love, and that care makes sure their animals are happy and relaxed.
FURTHER: The 4 Birth Months That Make the Best Grandmothers
LeoAffectionate and attentive, big-hearted Leos adore showering their pets with love. A pet with a Leo parent can expect endless hugs and cuddles, as well as abundant playtime with their fun-loving caretaker. Joy is important to Leos, so they will do everything they can to ensure their pets are happy, fulfilled, and having the best time. They take great pride in their pets and spend a lot of time celebrating them in ways that make them feel like the most important presence in the room. Whether it’s showing them off with walks around the neighborhood, capturing their cutest moments to share on social media, or simply doting on them throughout the day, Leo’s love is expressed openly and generously, and that level of attention creates a bond where a pet feels not just cared for, but sincerely cherished.
Of course, love for an animal isn’t limited to a few signs because anyone can form a deep, meaningful bond with their pet. But what makes these four stand out is the way they express that love so naturally through their care and devotion. Being a great pet parent is about showing up again and again with a loving heart. And when that kind of love is there, animals feel it completely; they relax into it, trust it, and return it in the purest way.

Who Won ‘Jeopardy’ Today? (April 30, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer
There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.
Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.
Kate Brody won Thursday's episode of Jeopardy!, finishing with a score of $17,599, unseating 3-day champ Greg Shahade, who entered the game with a winning streak worth $74,602.
Who are the Jeopardy contestants today?Greg ShahadeGreg Shahade is a chess player from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who put an end to super-champ Jamie Ding's 31-day streak earlier this week.
Derek KaufmanDerek Kaufman is an attorney from Los Angeles, California.
Kate BrodyKate Brody is a novelist from Los Angeles, California. The newcomer took the game from Shahade thanks to a masterful Daily Double dominance and smart wagering at the right time.

What was Final Jeopardy today?Final Jeopardy today was in the category "SPORTS & THE MOVIES."
The clue: "In 2026 a New Year's Day college football game featured these 2 team names that are both Gene Hackman movie titles."
The answer: What are "Hoosiers" and "Crimson Tide"?
None of the three contestants answered Final Jeopardy correctly in the category, proving Brody's conservative wager was the right strategic move, as was building a large enough lead to survive a miss. Brody entered with $22,000, opposed to Shahade's $13,200 and Kaufman's $1,400. She wagered $4,401, ending with $17,599, while Shahade wagered $10,000 and dropped to a final score of $3,200, with Kaufman in 3rd place after wagering mostly everything and ending with $100.
Brody will return Friday for her second shot.

1999 Fan-Favorite 'Scariest Movie Ever' Reboot Brings Back Original Stars
Modern filmmakers continue to try their hand at the so-called "found footage" subgenre, and it all traces back to The Blair Witch Project.
Often called the "scariest movie of all time" by fans, the 1999 horror/mystery hit remains such a pop-culture phenomenon that a reboot is now in the works.
On Thursday, April 30, exciting details were unveiled about the new project — especially for die-hards of the original installment. Given that the loyal fanbase might be fearful of how a reimagining can turn out, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the original movie's directing team has joined the project as executive producers.
Additionally, the two male leads of The Blair Witch Project — Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams — are also now on board as EPs.
Back in 2024, Lionsgate and Blumhouse announced at CinemaCon that a new version of the iconic movie was in the works,. Lionsgate film boss Adam Fogelson said it would be "a new vision for Blair Witch that will reintroduce this horror classic for a new generation," per THR.
Not long after, Leonard, 50, took to Instagram to express his frustration over his film's team not being involved in the new movie. "The WEIRD PART is that I didn’t know anything about it until a friend sent me a 'congrats' screenshot yesterday," the caption of his post on April 11, 2024 reads.
The caption continues in part, "I’m so proud of our little punk-rock movie, and I LOVE the fans who keep the flames burning. But at this point, it’s 25 years of disrespect from the folks who’ve pocketed the lion’s share (pun intended) of the profits from OUR work, and that feels both icky and classless."
View this post on InstagramThis new development signals unity between the updated vision and the team behind the original, which also starred Heather Donahue, by the way. It was made for just $35,000 and ultimately raked in $248 million globally.

Whether you lived through the ‘90s or not, there’s no mistaking the disheveled, thrifted style born out of the decade. From the music and culture that brought grunge to life to the relaxed, layered nature that inspired its look, the movement became one of the era’s most recognizable fashions, a style still being revisited and reinterpreted by both those who lived it and those born after the fact.
While plenty of pieces helped define grunge as a clothing style, the full-zip hoodie stands out as one of the most enduring. Long tied to music, streetwear and teenage fashion alike, it’s a staple that has likely remained a constant in your own closet. Which is exactly why Uniqlo’sSweat Full-Zip Hoodie is such a hit, as it offers shoppers a $40 essential that channels their favorite throwback fits with a modern touch that elevates the look entirely.
Sweat Full-Zip Hoodie, $39.90 at Uniqlo Sweat Full-Zip Hoodie, assorted colors Shop It!A constant in Uniqlo’s seasonal rotation, the Sweat Full-Zip Hoodie is one of the brand’s most recognizable unisex styles, offering a relaxed, true-to-size fit that works for just about anyone. And as for its worn-in, almost faded look, don’t worry, that’s intentional, thanks to a washed finish that gives it a naturally lived-in feel.
Paired with a smooth fabric and low-shedding yarn to help reduce lint transfer when layering over innerwear, it’s premium details like a contoured hood, metal fastener, spindle heads and grommets that bring its minimalist style to life. With all the creature comforts of a classic full-zip hoodie, this one is designed to become your new favorite, one you’ll reach for on just about any occasion.
At the moment, Uniqlo doesn’t have the full range of colors in stock, though a handful of staples are still available across a wide size run. Shoppers can currently choose from Beige, Gray, Dark Gray and Black, with sizes ranging from XXS through XXXL available both in stores and online.

A Classic Staple That Never Goes Out of Style“The perfect hoodie for sensory-sensitive teens,” one shopper raved in a review. “My son only wears these Uniqlo full-zip hoodies—we’ve tried almost every color. He has ASD and is extremely sensitive to fabrics, so comfort and texture are very important for him,” they added. “This hoodie is one of the few pieces he truly loves wearing.”
That sentiment is echoed across reviews, with another shopper giving the hoodie a “10/10” and praising it for being “so nice and comfortable.”
“I am 5’ 10” and bought a medium which fit me very well,” a third shopper added. “The material is comfortable and durable, but my only problem is that the hoodie string came out after the first wash,” a minor issue that another fan noted can be easily avoided by tying the drawstrings into knots at the ends to prevent fraying.

Here’s Why Fans Are Calling Kim Kardashian and Kanye’s Daughter North West a ‘Young Emo Icon’
She’s only 12-years-old, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North West is already a superstar. While she might not join mom as a lawyer or entrepreneur anytime soon, the tween is taking after her dad. At least, when it comes to music.
Back in March, North teased the release of her new project, posting on Instagram, “ep soon #n0rth4evr.” The announcement was met with some veiled skepticism. One commenter wrote an underhanded semi-complement saying, “best nepo baby ever,” while another added, “this is how you do nepotism ok!”
Of course, there was also plenty of outright applause for West, with one commenter raving about the tween, “She literally has infinite swag,” and another comparing her to her famous father, “North is the second coming of Ye.”
North’s latest post features a noir-ish video clip of the young celeb’s latest musical endeavor with the simple caption, “#n0rth4evr.” So what do fans think of West’s new song? One commenter praised the performer, writing, “Young Emo Icon,” as another said, “Living for this.” Fans also called her a “rockstar” and “north star.”
View this post on InstagramEven though North might look and sing like an adult, she’s not even a teenager yet. And with that in mind, Kim Kardashian has faced a string of recent backlashes for allowing her young daughter to dress and act older than most 12-year-olds.
Last year, Kardashian defended herself and North, while on the Call Her Daddy podcast, saying, “You know what, she’s so creative and she’s so amazing. And really, it’s so funny, she’s like really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this, and like I really don’t care that they don’t like it, if someone says they don’t like my blue hair or like my, you know, this or that.’ And she’s really confident, and is like I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people.”
Kardashian continued, candidly discussing parenting, “I think any mom of a teenager or a pre-teen, unless you’ve been here, like please, we just need a little bit of grace. It’s really hard, and it’s really interesting. Because all the kids are wearing the same things. And then my daughter tries to wear it, and I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.’ ‘
TheKeeping Up With the Kardashians reality star opened up, sharing an honest view of her daughter, “But what I do know is my baby’s such a good girl and such a sweet girl, and the things that she has experienced where she might have been outspoken or did something, she learns from that.”
2008 Modern Silent Film, Which Was a Box Office Hit, Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’
Who knew a film that is largely silent could make such a massive impact in the modern era?
Rotten Tomatoes ranked the top 300 movies of all time, compiling a list of the greatest films in history. Ranked along classic films such as Rob Reiner's 1987 film The Princess Bride at No. 264 and Leo McCarey's 1937 film Make Way for Tomorrow at No. 259, Andrew Stanton's 2008 masterpiece, WALL-E secured the No. 263 spot.
Released in the U.S. on June 17, 2008, WALL-E was a major box office success for Disney. The film grossed over $521 million worldwide with a budget of only $180 million. Its commercial triumph earned it a place among the highest-grossing Pixar films at the time of its release.

WALL-E is an animated sci-fi film that follows a waste-compacting robot named as he navigates a post-apocalyptic Earth void of life after humanity abandoned the planet. Now living on a massive starship, humans have become entirely reliant on technology and overcome by a rampant consumeristic lifestyle.
When a sleek probe robot named EVE is sent to Earth in search of vegetation, Wall-e falls in love with her. While exploring their new unique relationship, the pair must work together as they travel back to the human-inhabited spacecraft to save the future of the species.
While the movie is a heartwarming story about two robots, it is famously silent, an experimental decision for a movie studio to make. Much of the film is completely void of traditional dialogue, with the first 40 minutes being almost entirely wordless. Sound designer Ben Burtt replaced spoken language with a rich palette of beeps and whirring noises to emulate a robotic dialect that keeps audiences effectively engaged.
To this day, WALL-E remains one of Disney's most critically recognized films. Its fan-favorite characters, stunning sound design and captivating story have solidified it as a film that redefined what was possible in modern animation.

1983 Power Ballad Blocked From No. 1 by Its Own Songwriter Makes ‘Greatest Songs of the ’80s’ List
There are ballads, and then there are power ballads. And Air Supply’s 1983 hit “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” is one of the era’s most powerful anthems. So powerful, in fact, it was just named one of SiriusXM's top songs of the ’80s. Perhaps more interesting, though, is the truth behind why the classic soft rock hit never hit No. 1.
Released in the summer of 1983, the track was featured on the duo’s Greatest Hits album. Featuring all the drama — arena rock guitar, emotionally charged lyrics, soaring vocals — the song was an instant hit on the Billboard charts, soaring to the No. 2 spot on the Hot 100. But for three weeks, it was in a chart battle with another power ballad, Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”
View this post on InstagramBut here’s where the story takes a right turn: Both songs were written by the same person — Jim Steinman. That’s right: “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” was blocked from No. 1 by its own songwriter. Written for another artist entirely, “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” was originally offered to Meat Loaf, with the artist reportedly saying, “My record company was anti-Jim Steinman at the time, I was anti-record company. So we were even.”
Though Air Supply were typically the crafters of their own music, they took a crack at Steinman’s song, as it fit in nicely with their other romantic ballads — see: “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” and “The One That You Love.” A grand production, the 1983 hit has Russell Hitchcock singing lead and Graham Russell providing backup vocals and guitar.
“I’d like to think I’m somewhat of a romantic, because otherwise my music wouldn't be real,” Russell told Songfacts. “But my whole background, even when I was growing up, was very much that way as well. For instance, I come from a place in England where all those great poets came from -- Wordsworth and Keats and all those guys -- so I was surrounded by it, and I loved poetry as a child.”
The only new song on the Aussie group's Greatest Hits compilation, the song helped the album sell more than 5 million copies in the U.S., where it went five-times platinum. Decades later, the track remains a timeless classic, showcasing Air Supply’s signature sound. Now a top song of the 1980s, it’s a reminder that near-misses can sometimes be the greatest wins — especially when two songs from the same songwriter end up shaping an era.

Howard Stern Addresses Lawsuit From Former Assistant: 'A Thinly Veiled Attempted Shakedown'
Howard Stern has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit from a former executive assistant alleging he and his wife, Beth Stern, created a hostile work environment.
In a lawsuit filed on April 5, Leslie Kuhn claimed that she was forced to sign a confidentiality agreement and a non-disclosure agreement in Feb. 2026 at the time of her "manufactured" termination.
Kuhn alleged that her termination "was the result of, among other things, a hostile work environment and enablement of that hostile work environment, immense pressures on the household created by irresponsible and untenable animal rescue and fostering operations occurring on site, and massively disorganized and questionable business operations and accounting practices."
In a statement toEntertainment Weekly, Stern's attorney said of the lawsuit, "We are not going to play this out in public. The Sterns are entitled to enforce nondisclosure agreements signed by employees who enter their home and their private life, and they have filed a motion to address the lawsuit and the conduct of Ms. Kuhn and her lawyer."
In court documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly filed on Wednesday, April 29, Stern called Kuhn's lawsuit, "a thinly veiled attempted shakedown" and claimed that she "hatched a plan to extract a staggering 'hush-money' payment" from him.
Stern also alleges that Kuhn, pretends she filed this action to 'protect her reputation' and defend herself against 'accusations' defendants made" but that "the only reason Kuhn's termination has become public is because she and her counsel chose to file this sensationalized lawsuit, announced her termination to the world, and then deliberately fanned media attention."
Stern said that Kuhn's lawsuit is founded on "a series of bald-faced lies." He continued to claim that she is asking the court to "free her from confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements that she indisputably signed."
Stern's attorney also disputed Kuhn's allegations of the Sterns creating a hostile work environment. "Kuhn's baseless, inflammatory allegation was not asserted for any legitimate purpose but solely to generate salacious headlines and to pressure defendants into capitulating," the Stern's attorney said in the filing.
Stern's legal team added, "Kuhn’s conduct underscores why parties like [the] defendants — which include famous public figures — are entitled to safeguard their privacy by contractually requiring those granted access to their homes and personal lives to sign agreements."
Kuhn's attorney said to Entertainment Weekly that her legal team stands in "vigorous opposition" to Stern's filing and that it is not "a threat to Ms. Kuhn's claims, factually or legally."
Kuhn had worked primarily in the Stern's mansion in the Hamptons from Jan. 2024 to Feb. 2026 and had previously worked as an office manager SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show since 2022. Kuhn also worked closely with Beth with her nonprofit organization Beth's Furry Friends.
Taylor Swift Says This 2017 Synth-Pop Album Was 'Slept on for Years' by Fans
The year 2017 was another time. Fidget spinners, La La Land almost stole Moonlight'sthunder, Trump was inaugurated into office (for the first time), and Taylor Swift hadn't been seen in almost a year publicly.
Then, a sign, or an omen depending on who you ask, appeared on her Instagram in the form of a snake. And on November 10th, 2017, Swift officially ushered fans into her synth-pop, heavy hitting, darker than usual reputation era.

Following her 1989 album (which also marked her official transition from country to pop music), Swift was absolutely everywhere and her stardom was rising at a stratospheric rate. The album spent an entire year in the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 chart, really solidifying Swift as a pop icon. But because of this, the media and public scrutiny on her was also amplified. Throughout 2015 and 2016 criticism of Swift ranged from her feminism being performative to her relationships being publicity stunts, and they ultimately culminated in her longstanding feud with rapper Kanye West reaching a new level.
In a video released by West's then wife, Kim Kardashian, Swift was caught on camera seemingly consenting to the lyric, "I made that bitch famous"for West's song "Famous" in reference to her. Despite the video being edited, this turned the public against Swift who now saw her as fake and calculated. #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty trended on Twitter internationally, and users flooded Swift's social media spamming her with the snake emoji.
Because of all of the scrutiny, Swift would take a full hiatus from press and public appearances from 2016-2017. "People might need a break from [me]," she said of that time.
However, it was during that hiatus that Swift ultimately would write and record her reputation album. Swift has said that writing the album was her way of reclaiming the narrative and it was a true defense mechanism for her.
reputation opened in the number one spot on the US Billboard 200 chart and sold over a million copies in just four days. The album was the bestselling album of 2017 and would go on to be listed in several publications as one of their best of the year.
Despite all of this, in a recent interview held by The New York Times with songwriters, Swift pointed out that she felt the album and its songs were actually some of the most "slept on" of her prolific career. reputation was met with mixed reviews upon its release almost 10 years ago, and it took fans "six or seven years" according to Swift to give it the recognition and love she felt for it from the start.
@extra_tvrep fans, stand up 🐍🤡 @Taylor Swift talks to @The New York Times about loving her ‘reputation’ album and people coming back to it years later to give it the love it deserved. #taylorswift #reputation #taylorsversion #getawaycar #readyforit

“I know what I did, I love it. You can come around if you want. It’s OK if you don’t," Swift said of the album in the interview.
Not only has the love for reputation held strong and even grown over the last nine years, fans have been feral in their anticipation of Swift's rerecord, or her "Taylor's Version," of the album. However in a heartfelt letter to her devoted fanbase, Swift called the album the first of her six she didn't think she could improve upon. The vault tracks may still be released at some time.
It's safe to say that in terms of loving reputation, the Swifties definitely did come around, just like Taylor knew they would.

1969 Hit Record Was Just Named the 'Greatest Album of the 1960s'
Modern-day music enthusiasts tend to have a deep appreciation for 1960s discography. While it's not an easy task to rank the best '60s records, the publication Collider recently released a list of the "10 greatest albums of the 1960s."
The ranking, published on April 30, included hit '60s records like The Velvet Underground & Nico's The Velvet Underground & Nico from 1967, Nina Simone's 1965 album, Pastel Blues, 1966's Blonde on Blonde by Bob Dylan, and The Beach Boys' 1966 Pet Sounds.
Collider named The Beatles' 1969 album, Abbey Road, as the best 1960s record. According to the publication, the record arguably combines everything that made the iconic British band great.
Ringo Starr Shared Some Insight Into the Famous 'Abbey Road' Album CoverAbbey Road, which came out a year before the band split, features several beloved Beatles songs like "Come Together," "Something," "Octopus's Garden," and "Here Comes the Sun." The album is also known for its famous cover, wherein George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starrwalk single-file on the Abbey Road crosswalk.
In an April 2026 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Starr revealed it wasn't always the plan for him and his bandmates to take a picture outside of their recording studio, now known as Abbey Road Studios. According to Starr, he, McCartney, Lennon, who died in 1980, and Harrison, who died in 2001, were considering traveling outside of Britain to shoot the cover.
"We sat there in deep conversation about the album cover. 'Should we go to like Egypt and do the pyramids, you know, stand by the pyramids? Or we should go here where there's something great in that city. Go to Rome.' 'Uh, why don't we just walk across the road? Just across the road,'" said the famed drummer during the April 2026 interview.
He also said the cars seen in the album were already parked on the road when the cover's picture was being taken.
"We just got off our seats, walked out the front door, and walked across," said Starr.

McGinley (as Dr. Cox), Robert Maschio (as Todd Quinlan), and Neil Flynn (as the Janitor) have all returned to the series reboot. 25 years later, Scrubs still holds up for old fans of the show while new fans discover the beloved characters for the first time.
Shifting Gears, starring TV comedy veterans Tim Allen (Last Man Standing) and Kat Dennings (Two Broke Girls), closed out its second season in February with a major cliffhanger. Surely, its third season will tie up some unanswered questions while also leaving its loyal viewership wanting more. And perhaps, another Home Improvement reunion could be in store for audiences! Allen is listed as an executive producer on the show, with Dennings acknowledged as one of its producers.
