Fisher-Price Works the Runway With 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' Little People Collector Set

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 1:25pm

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially in theaters! While there are several new faces in the sequel—including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux and Kenneth Branagh, the Fab Four is back. Reprising their original roles are Meryl Streep as Miranda, Anne Hathaway as Andy, Emily Blunt as Emily and Stanley Tucci as Nigel.

Based on Laura Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name, The Devil Wears Prada screenplay was written by Aline Brosh McKenna (27 Dresses, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and directed by David Frankel (Marley & Me), who also directs the sequel. The original film follows Andy Sachs—an aspiring journalist who gets a job at a fashion magazine—only to find herself at the mercy of her demanding editor, Miranda Priestly.

In the new film, Andy (Hathaway) returns to Runway magazine, not as an assistant, but as the publication's new features editor. The landscape of the magazine business has shifted dramatically over the last two decades, with print media moving online and ad sales decreasing. As Miranda and the team adjust to this new normal, another former assistant could hold the key to the funding they need to keep Runway afloat.

To commemorate the sequel, Fisher-Price has created an adorable Little People Collector set featuring Miranda, Andy, Nigel and Emily in all their fashion glory. Previous television/movie themed Little People Collector sets include Harry Potter, Wednesday, Ted Lasso, The Goonies, JAWS, Supernatural and The Karate Kid. The limited-edition set is available on Amazon for $26.99. Each figure stands at over 2.5 inches tall and the four Little People characters come in a window box display that mirrors the setting of Runway magazine's offices.

Will Ferrell Says He Set Up Shop at a Flea Market — Here's What He's Selling

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 1:25pm

If you thought you saw Will Ferrellat the Rose Bowl Flea Market recently, maybe you did.

The actor recently revealed he’s been setting up shop at the popular swap meet—held on the second Sunday of every month—in Pasadena, CA. “I’ve been selling t-shirts at the Rose Bowl Swap Meet,” Ferrell, 58, revealed on the Harland Highway podcast in March.

And that’s not all he’s got up his sleeve. “T-shirts and ukuleles…they're t-shirts that I thrift. I find them, I get them and then I up-sell them,” Ferrell stated. “[I have] a little table, ukuleles and t-shirts. I clean up. I do pretty well.”

When asked by host Harland Williams how much the comedian makes in a weekend, Ferrell confidently said, “A couple hundy.”

While many fans were suspicious this was just a joke, the Old Town Pasadena Instagram account shared the clip. “Catch Will Ferrell at the Pasadena flea market selling T-shirts at his booth like it’s the most normal thing in the world 😂,” they wrote in the caption.

“Is he be serious or is he joking? Bc you never know with him lol,” one fan asked.

Another questioned, “Is this to get people to go back to the rose bowl flea? Because I’m sold. And so are his shirts and ukulele.”

“I have not seen him there. Lol,” said a third.

Bit or not, Ferrell has been keeping busy. The actor is also gearing up for his latest comedy project, a new Netflix series titled The Hawk, where he plays fictional golf legend Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins. The show, which was created by Ferrell and backed by the PGA Tour, follows a once-dominant pro golfer chasing one final comeback.

The series is expected to premiere this summer and will span 10 episodes, with a cast that includes Molly Shannon, Luke Wilson, and Fortune Feimster.

These Are the Most Common COVID-19 Symptoms Doctors Are Seeing Right Now

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 1:25pm

While cold and flu season is nearing its end for this cycle, COVID-19 is still lurking about and messing with our spring and summer plans six years post-pandemic—on top of seasonal allergies for those sensitive to pollen.

Allergy season can make COVID particularly tricky, because a lot of allergy symptoms—think congestion, runny nose, headache, coughing and sore throat—can mimic those of COVID-19, giving some a false sense of safety amid their discomfort: You may assume your nose is stuffy because you ate lunch in your garden on a warm day, when in actuality, you may be sick and at risk of spreading germs and viruses to others.

While most people with healthy immune systems will find that having coronavirus is crummy, for immunocompromised people, older people and individuals with other conditions that can lead to complications, it can be quite dangerous.

To protect those people, as well as yourself, pay close attention to the COVID symptoms that doctors are observing most in May 2026—and find out how to feel better fast.

Related: How Long Does Natural Immunity Actually Last After a Spring COVID Infection?

What Are the Most Common COVID-19 Symptoms in May 2026?

There is at least some good news here, according to Dr. Tyler Evans, MD, infectious disease specialist and founder and CEO of Wellness Equity Alliance.

"The 2026 COVID-19 presentation looks much more like an upper respiratory infection (URI or ‘common cold’) than the deep lung illness we saw in 2020," Dr. Evans tells Parade. "The most common symptoms right now are sore throat—often quite intense—along with nasal congestion, cough, fatigue, headache and low-grade fever."

Related: Doctors Say This Common Habit During COVID Recovery Could Be Making You Sicker

More good news? You'll likely still have your sense of taste and smell if you get a COVID infection now.

"Body aches, chills and gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea and diarrhea show up in a smaller share of cases," Dr. Evans adds. "The honest truth is that without a test, you cannot reliably distinguish a current COVID-19 infection from the common cold. In fact, COVID-19 will increasingly be thought of as the constellation of viruses that contribute to the common cold."

"Fun fact: Prior to the pandemic, the alpha-coronavirus (which is different from beta, which causes COVID-19), represented up to 20% of respiratory infections," Dr. Evans notes. "Nevertheless, the symptoms have converged. That is why if someone in a high-risk category gets sick, I tell them to test early rather than guess."

"Interestingly, with the Stratus variant, we have anecdotally seen patients presenting with a sore throat more than previous strains," Dr. Michael J. Davis, DO, MPH, infectious disease specialist at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., tells Parade.

Dr. Steven Goldberg, MD, MBA,primary care physician and chief medical officer at HealthTrackRx, breaks it down numerically: "Across multiple large prospective studies, the five most frequently reported symptoms during Omicron-lineage infections have been cough (approximately 94%), sputum/congestion (approximately 88%), sore throat (approximately 86%), runny nose (approximately 85%) and lethargy (approximately 81%)."

According to Dr. Joseph Bresee, MD, director of the Partnership for International Vaccine Initiatives at the Task Force for Global Health, "Some individuals will become more severely ill, experiencing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Children are more likely to have GI symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting."

Dr. Bresee, like yours truly, wants to remind you that COVID is not a cold, especially to vulnerable individuals. "Remember, COVID-19 can be serious," he says. "If you have trouble breathing, see a health care provider because the virus can cause pneumonia and life-threatening illness. If you have a chronic illness, like lung disease, and you become ill, call your doctor to see if you need a prescription for medicines to treat COVID-19."

What Are the Most Common COVID-19 Variants Right Now?

"As of late April, the dominant variants in the United States are XFG, also known as Stratus, and its descendants like XFG.1.1, along with NB.1.8.1, called Nimbus," Dr. Evans tells Parade. "Both are part of the Omicron family. The variant attracting the most attention is BA.3.2, nicknamed "Cicada," which carries multiple spike protein mutations that suggest potential immune escape properties. While Cicada is climbing in wastewater data, it has not yet displaced Stratus or Nimbus and current evidence does not indicate more severe disease outcomes."

That doesn't mean it's harmless, however. "The concern lies not in immediate severity but in its capacity to evade existing immunity, potentially undermining protection from previous infections and vaccinations," Dr. Evans points out. "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) genomic surveillance has been substantially reduced over the past year, so our picture of what is circulating is genuinely less precise than it was two years ago. That matters. Surveillance is the early-warning system, and we are flying with fewer instruments."

How Can I Protect Myself from COVID-19?

For the love of Pete, please get vaccinated!

Dr. Snehal Smart, MD, patient advocate at the Mesothelioma Center, says, "The COVID vaccines significantly reduce the number of COVID cases; protect people at high risk, such as cancer patients and immunocompromised individuals and can create herd immunity if enough of the population has gained protection against this virus."

Dr. Smart is far from alone. Literally every medical expert with whom we spoke recommends vaccines and boosters to protect not just you, but everyone you come into contact with, from severe COVID infections.

"COVID vaccines remain extremely effective at preventing you from serious illness [that can lead to] hospitalization and/or progression to death," Dr. Shruti Gohil, MD, MPH, associate medical director of epidemiology and infection prevention at UCI Health, explains. "This includes protection against the current strains."

And another!

"COVID vaccines are still VERY IMPORTANT," Dr. Andrew Benin, MD, primary care physician and co-founder of BeninMed, tells Parade, emphasis his own. "They're not designed to completely stop infections, but they have been proven to significantly reduce the risk of severe disease, hospitalization and death. In my opinion, that's the most important thing, especially for our elderly patients and immunocompromised population which is ever growing. Vaccination is still one of the highest yield preventions that we have."

What’s the Quickest Way To Get Rid of COVID Symptoms?

Obviously, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, as the old adage goes, so just in case we didn't convince you already, we'll let Dr. Carlos Zambrano, MD, infectious disease specialist at Loretto Hospital in Chicago, explain.

"Vaccination and staying up to date on boosters remain the best protection against COVID, especially for people who are older or who have chronic health conditions," Dr. Zambrano advises. "If someone does get sick, supportive care is important. This includes drinking plenty of fluids, getting adequate rest, and using over-the-counter medications to help with fever and body aches. Antiviral treatment such as Paxlovid may also be recommended by a doctor depending on the person’s health history and risk factors."

Related: The Common Mistake That Increases Your Risk of Catching COVID Twice This Season

How Long Should I Isolate if I Test Positive for COVID-19?

If you have COVID symptoms, Dr. Smith says, "This has changed since the five-day rule and, in general, follows a standard symptom approach. Stay home and away from others until your symptoms improve and you have no fevers for 24 hours."

If you're asymptomatic but test positive, Dr. Smith says, the advice is similar.

"This is a little trickier, but it really is the same as the last, which is symptom-based," he says. "They suggest the same as above after symptoms improve and no fevers: Masking, distancing, ventilation, staying away from those vulnerable and additional testing."

Dr. Zambrano advises that even if you're asymptomatic, if you test positive, wear a mask for 10 days (from your test date) when you're around others. Remember, their lives are just as valuable as yours!

Adrian Grenier Is Back With a Grilled Cheese Challenge—and the Prize Is Massive

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 1:25pm

If you needed a reason to take grilled cheese a little more seriously, Adrian Grenier just gave you one—and it comes with a prize that's hard to ignore.

Grenier, best known for his roles in the HBO series Entourage and the cult-classic movie The Devil Wears Prada, has spent recent years leaning into a more sustainable lifestyle, including farming, making his new partnership feel like a natural extension of his off-screen interests.

The actor has teamed up with Jarlsberg for a new campaign celebrating the art of the perfect melt, and it's not just about nostalgia or comfort food. It's a full-on challenge.

😋😋SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter🍳🍔

At the center of the campaign is a contest called the #JarlsbergMelt, which challenges fans to get creative and rethink what a great grilled cheese can be.

The #JarlsbergMelt Puts Your Grilled Cheese to the Test

Grenier and the brand are inviting fans to put their own spin on a grilled cheese and share it for a chance to win something wildly over-the-top: a massive 22-pound wheel of Jarlsberg cheese.

Yes, 22 pounds!

According to Jarlsberg, that's enough cheese to make more than 100 grilled cheese sandwiches, turning a simple social challenge into something closer to a summer-long meal plan. The idea is straightforward. Make your best grilled cheese, post it, and you're in the running.

The campaign officially kicks off May 4 and is designed to spotlight what makes a grilled cheese actually great. For Grenier, it comes down to ingredients. He emphasizes the importance of quality cheese and specifically cites Jarlsberg's meltability and nutty flavor as key to elevating the sandwich.

Why Jarlsberg Is Built for the Perfect Melt View this post on Instagram

Jarlsberg's reputation for meltability stems from its texture and composition, which allow it to soften evenly while maintaining a smooth, creamy consistency. That balance is what makes it a natural fit for something like grilled cheese, where both structure and flavor matter.

"Something as simple as grilled cheese becomes next level with the right cheese, and the meltability and nutty taste of Jarlsberg are still unmatched in my book," said Adrian Grenier in a statement. "I strongly believe in natural, high-quality ingredients, and as I learned more about the brand, I was also struck by their commitment to quality."

According to Shibani Potnis, the chief marketing officer for Norseland Inc., the company behind Jarlsberg US, "This collaboration is a celebration of Jarlsberg and the endless creativity of grilled cheese lovers."

The push also comes at a milestone moment for the brand. Celebrating 70 years of meltability this year, Jarlsberg has become a familiar part of grilled cheese traditions for generations. Its signature flavor and distinct holes trace back to a closely guarded Norwegian recipe known to only a few.

Why This Challenge Could Take Off

Grilled cheese is one of those rare foods that almost everyone thinks they've mastered. The challenge pushes people to rethink what "perfect" actually looks like, whether that's dialing in the crunch, layering flavors, or just going bigger than usual.

It also taps into something bigger happening right now. Simple foods are getting a second life through social challenges and creative twists. The barrier to entry is low, the payoff is visual, and the format calls for creative experimentation.

Which means things could get interesting.

Expect Everything From Classic to Over-the-Top

Because while the rules are simple—make a grilled cheese, share it, tag it—the competition probably won't be. Expect everything from ultra-classic versions to stacked, over-the-top builds designed to win on sheer spectacle.

And with a 22-pound wheel of cheese on the line, there's a real incentive to go all in.

Long-Awaited Sequel to 2003 Bestselling Science-Fiction Romance Novel is Finally Coming this Fall

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 1:21pm

Fans of Audrey Niffenegger, it's finally here! The long-awaited sequel to 2003's bestselling, science-fiction romance success, The Time Traveler's Wife, which has been in the works since 2013, is officially releasing this October. Titled Life Out of Order, the book is a story in and of itself that can either be read on its own, or as a true companion to the multi-million copy selling predecessor.

Goodreads took to social media in late April of 2026 for the official cover and synopsis reveal of the follow up to the international bestseller.

View this post on Instagram

Niffenegger's original manuscript was rejected over 25 times by publishers before it was sent to a very small, Bay Area-based publisher who loved it and wanted to take a chance on the book. However by the time they were ready to send Niffenegger an offer, she had acquired an agent and the manuscript was now up for auction. MacAdam/Cage bid $100,000 on the book and they were significantly outbid by a larger publisher. But Niffenegger ended up signing with them given their love and belief in her work saying, "I'd always pick the indie company over the giant corporation."

Rights for the movie version were acquired before the book was even released. In 2007, a film version of The Time Traveler's Wife starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana as main characters Clare and Henry hit theaters.

What can fans expect from the sequel?

The sequel, Life Out of Order, will follow Clare and Henry's daughter, Alba, who lives with the same time-traveling condition as her father. However her affliction isn't her biggest issue; Alba is in love with two different people. Zach lives in the present, whereas Oliver can time travel just like her. Life Out of Order is "a kaleidoscopic tale of love, resilience, and hope amid our fractured world where time itself is the greatest adversary."

Fans of the original can expect another story that will latch onto their hearts, transceding time and space.

Best-Selling Author’s Summer Read With a Nostalgic Music Twist Named Top Book

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 1:08pm

Remember those long summer days on the water, boom box safely perched away from rogue splashes, waiting for your favorite song to come on the radio? Bestselling author Emma Straub taps into that exact feeling with her new 2026 novel, American Fantasy. A nostalgic, music-centered escape that’s already making waves, the novel is earning praise from outlets like NPR, Vogue, and Parade as a must-read of the season.

Meet Annie. She’s 50-something, newly divorced, and about to see her teen dream come true. Reluctantly, she agrees to board a four-day themed cruise with her sister, devoted entirely to a throwback pop group called Boy Talk — along with 3,000 other middle-age fans who have worshipped them for decades. But once the music starts and the sounds of her formative years come rushing back, something unexpected begins to unfold.

Blending fantasy with emotional reality, the queen of beach reads delivers a heartfelt, joyful, and often laugh-out-loud exploration of identity, reinvention, and reconnecting with the youthful spirit that’s been pushed way down. And the story, both richly textured and deeply observed, is informed by Straub’s own research.

“People don’t believe me when I say I went on the New Kids on the Block cruise for research,” she tells Vogue. “I mean, it was also for profound, deep, personal pleasure, but … I went by myself because I was not interested in being perceived, and I did not want to have to take care of anyone else. I didn’t have to worry about whether someone else was having a good time or if they thought it was a total nightmare; I wanted to fade into the wallpaper as much as possible and just observe.”

Straub also shares that the inspiration for her latest New York Times best seller was born out of a really sad time, saying “I loved New Kids on the Block as a child, and in 2022, my father had just died and I had just written this really sad book. I was crying every day and I wanted to write something really different, and I saw something online about a New Kids on the Block cruise and I just thought, Well, that’s my next novel.”

And it seems like it’s also everyone’s next read. Including Lin-Manuel Miranda, who calls it an "incredible book." A reminder that nostalgia is more than an anchor, it’s a tool for moving forward, American Fantasy gives readers permission to rediscover joy at every age … and to let their boy band flags fly.

How Much Does the 'Full House' Cast Make in Residuals? Jodie Sweetin's Answer Will Shock You

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 12:57pm

After learning how much the Friends cast earns each year in residuals, it may alarm you to hear what the Full House stars aren't getting. Especially since the nostalgia factor for the '90s TGIF staple is just as high.

With interest around residual checks taking off thanks to Lisa Kudrow's recent admission, Jodie Sweetin weighed in, and it turns out that she and her Full House castmates can't just sit back and let their hit show pay the bills.

While speaking with Josh McBride on The McBride Rewind podcast, Sweetin left many stunned when she shared how much (or how little) she receives from her time on Full House. She played Stephanie Tanner on the ABC hit beginning when she was just five years old, and it ran for eight seasons before getting canceled in May 1995.

Despite all that time on the air, and the continuing popularity of the show, plus a Netflix spinoff, residual checks are not what they once were for the Full House cast.

"I got a one-cent check the other day," Sweetin revealed. "No, there's no syndication anymore because it's all in streaming. Who gets paid for that? Nobody gets paid for that."

While Full House has historically aired reruns on TBS, WGN America, Nick at Nite, Freeform, TV Land, CMT, Hallmark Channel, and MeTV, Sweetin is correct that the series is now available to stream rather than airing as reruns on network television.

Warner Bros. owns Full House and has licensed the show to Hulu exclusively since 2017, where all eight seasons are available to stream.

That is due to the way contracts were written when these shows were filmed back in the '80s and '90s, before streaming existed. Payments for shows in syndication could be lucrative for the main stars of certain shows and even brought in smaller payments for lesser stars.

But over the years, as streaming services took over, residual checks have dwindled for all but the major shows like Friends and Seinfeld, leaving stars of shows like Full House with nearly nothing.

It's worth noting that in 2019, SAG-AFTRA struck a deal with Netflix that pays a residual scale to those starring in their original series for streaming after initial release, so the contracts are slowly changing with the times.

Country Music Icon With 3 Grammys & 49 No. 1 Hits Turns 59

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 12:50pm

Country music icon Tim McGraw just celebrated his 59th birthday.

On Friday, May 1, the three-time Grammy Award winner—who has released a total of 49 No. 1 hits during his career—officially began his final year before hitting the big 6-0.

Tim, the son of the late MLB star Tug McGraw, released his debut, self-titled album in 1993. Although no hits came from that first release, his sophomore album, Not a Moment Too Soon, provided his first No. 1 hit, "Don't Take the Girl," in 1994. Since then, the country crooner has released 15 other studio albums. They included tracks like "I Like It, I Love It," "It's Your Love," "Just to See You Smile," "Live Like You Were Dying," "Humble and Kind," and more.

On Oct. 6, 1996, Tim married fellow country star Faith Hill. They have now been married for nearly 30 years and share three daughters: Gracie McGraw, 28, Maggie McGraw, 27, and Audrey McGraw, 24.

For her dad's birthday, Audrey took to her Instagram Stories with a throwback photo of Tim from his early days in the music industry. "Happy Birthday, Dad!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," the Landman actress declared. Another segment featured a snapshot of Tim holding a toddler-aged Audrey. She added, "Love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Gracie echoed, "Happy birthday to the best guy out there @timmcgraw," on her Instagram Stories, alongside a different throwback photo.

McGraw's nephew, Timothy Wayne, also posted via Instagram a birthday shoutout to Tim, writing, "Happy birthday Uncle T! I hope this birthday is one of the best! Here is to another 30 years! Love ya!"

In February, Tim announced his Pawn Shop Guitar Tour, which kicks off on July 9 in Bethel, N.Y. The country legend will spend the last year of his 50s performing on 33 dates through Sept. 26, ending the tour in West Palm Beach, Fla. Joining him are special guests, Lady A, The Chicks, 49 Winchester, and his nephew, Wayne.

The tour will mark his first since abruptly canceling his Standing Room Only Tour in 2024 due to health issues.

“I had my knee surgeries done,” he explained on The Bobby Bones Show, during a candid health update in May 2025. “And then in the process of recovering from my knee surgeries, my back went out again, and I had to have another back surgery.”

This Adorable $3 Grill Season Find at Aldi Makes Mealtime Fun

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 12:45pm

I must confess that although I am a full-blown adult, I'll never turn down the opportunity to have a little fun with my food. Not that I'm using condiments as finger paint or anything, but if there's an option to liven up a dish with a light dusting of edible glitter or a shower of edible flowers, just know I'm going all in. Who says charcuterie can't be served suspended in mid-air or that a burger can't be eaten like a hot dog? As long as it tastes good, the rest is just special effects. Kids understand this, which is why we go to great lengths to add a little extra pizazz to their plates. (See: dino nuggets and smiley-faced mashed potatoes.)

The littles specifically can be particularly discerning about the amount of whimsy they're willing to tolerate in their food, and more often than not, that means tapping into our cache of tricks to make mealtime the epitome of fun. Whether that means making green eggs and ham or figuring out a way to actually make Pretty Patties, we'll do whatever we can to cater to our kiddos' sense of wide-eyed wonder—while also getting them to secretly eat their veggies.

Fortunately, sometimes the best solution is the easiest, and with grilling season finally upon us, Aldi has the perfect $3 that'll make satisfying your tiny humans' requests easier and cuter than ever. The adorable Crofton Hot Dog Slicer is the perfect gadget to have in your back pocket when your little one is begging for a hot dog cut into exactly 20 even pieces before they even think about anything else. This cutesy two-piece contraption not only makes grilling out with the kiddos fun but also makes cutting their food into bite-sized pieces foolproof.

Crofton Hot Dog Slicer, $2.99 at Aldi

Aldi

Simply place a hot dog on the base, top it with the slicer, which is adorably fashioned to look like a wiener dog, and push down. You'll have perfectly even slices in no time. The base also features an integrated "dog bowl" that doubles as a sauce cup for your little one's favorite condiments. But why stop at hot dogs? You can also use the gadget to slice bananas or maybe even veggies like carrots and celery. It's multipurpose and fun! What's better than that? And the best part is, it'll only set you back a meager $2.99.

Sure, it might not magically turn your kiddos' hot dogs into chicken nuggets, but a simple rebrand to "hot dog nuggets" and this essential from Aldi is all you need. Of course, we promise not to tell if you don't have kids and decide to grab one for yourself. Who says kids get to have all the fun?

Kris Jenner Shuts Down Facelift Rumors and Talks Mother’s Day Plans With Daughter Khloe Kardashian

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 12:20pm

Momager extraordinaire Kris Jenner is clearing the air. While it was recently reported that the 70-year-old (yes, 70, and we absolutely can’t believe it) was furious with her facelift results, Jenner set the record straight on her daughter Khloe Kardashian’spodcast earlier this week.

Does Kris Jenner Really Hate Her Facelift?

When it comes to Jenner’s facelift, don’t believe the hype. Obviously, just by looking at her, you can tell the surgery was a complete success. Would anyone who didn’t already know that Kris is 70 think she was a day over 45? In some pics, she even looks younger than her eldest daughter, Kim Kardashian.

While talking to Khloe, Kris had this to say about the recent media speculation, “The headline right now is that I hate my facelift and I’m really mad at, I’m furious at my doctor, Steven Levine. Which couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s a flat-out lie.”

Jenner went on to praise her surgeon, saying, “I love my facelift. I adore my doctor. I’m obsessed with him. One of the most talented, amazing men I’ve ever met, and somebody who really put his heart and soul into what he did for me…He’s an artist.” That doesn’t exactly sound like someone who is disappointed.

The mom of six continued, explaining how the backlash started. “I never in a million years was going to talk about doing a facelift. I didn’t bring this to anybody's attention. I didn’t post a picture and say, ‘Oh my god, guys, look at my facelift. Don’t I look great?’ I was minding my own business.” She goes on to say that while in Paris for Lauren Sanchez’s (a.k.a. Mrs.Jeff Bezos) wedding shower, the paparazzi snapped pics of her newly lifted face. And it all went downhill from there.

If you’re wondering why Kris feels the need to publicly deny any animosity towards her surgeon, it isn’t for herself. The entrepreneur and reality TV star added, “I can take what people say. I have pretty thick skin. … someone else is involved, and I love him, and I think he’s a genius, and I think he’s one of the most talented doctors I’ve ever been to.”

Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian Talk Mother’s Day

Of course, plastic surgery wasn’t the only topic of conversation during Kardashian’s podcast. The duo also dished on their family’s Mother’s Day plans.

Kris asked her daughter about the ‘perfect’ Mother’s Day. The mother of two (Kardashian has a daughter, True Thompson, and a son, Tatum Thompson, with ex Tristan Thompson) shared that she plans to have breakfast and go for a swim with her kiddos. She also revealed her ideal afternoon, “They can go and leave me alone for a few hours and let me just like veg out, chill, get a massage, like just do things that I want to do, but alone, and not hear people be like, ‘Can you open this for me? I need a tissue. This has salt on it.” or whatever.” And that sounds absolutely amazing!

Is ‘Sheriff Country’ on Tonight? (May 1, 2026)

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 12:03pm

Sheriff Country left fans reeling with a doozy of an ending in the previous episode, thanks to Wes (W. Earl Brown), whose secret involvement in an illegal weed-growing operation was nearly exposed.

After Wes evades getting caught by Mickey (Morena Baccarin) and Boone (Matt Lauria), he faces the wrath of his growing partners for losing $3 million. The excitement over what happens next with Wes has fans wondering whether they will have to wait longer than a week for the next Sheriff Country episode.

Is Sheriff Country on Tonight?

Sheriff Country fans can rejoice. The CBS drama is airing a new episode tonight, Friday, May 1.

In fact, only new episodes are airing until the Season 1 finale on May 22. With only four episodes left in the season, fans are in for one wild ride filled with drama and chaos.

What To Know About Sheriff Country Season 1 Episode 17

Parade was given an exclusive sneak peek at the new episode titled “The Hunting Party.” In the video clip, Mickey and Boone deal with the fallout of taking the $3 million of drug money.

Boone also seeks out Gina (Caroline Rhea) for some advice on taking Mickey to a special baseball game. However, a new case and issues with the drug money may derail his plan.

An official synopsis for the episode reads: “Sheriff Mickey Fox investigates a fatal shooting that appears to be a tragic accident during a lavish Fraley family boar hunt, setting off a chain of events with far-reaching consequences for Edgewater.”

It’s another doozy of an episode that leads to the finale, which Baccarin has teased will feature a betrayal of epic proportions. Could that betrayal have to do with Wes and his illegal business?

Mickey worked hard to get her father back in her life, but made it crystal clear they could only have a relationship if he was a legit weed grower and did nothing illegal.

Along with Baccarin, Brown, Lauria, and Rhea, Sheriff Country also stars Christopher Gorham (Travis), Michele Weaver (Cassidy), Ian Quinlan (Hank), and Amanda Arcuri (Skye).

Sheriff Country airs Fridays at 8/7c on CBS.

1971 Funk Rock Classic Ranked Among 'Best Breakup Songs' of All Time Became a Timeless Anthem

Fri, 05/01/2026 - 12:01pm

Popular music of the 1970s was heavily influenced by soul, disco, and dance genres, and funky anthem "Can You Get to That" by Funkadelic was one of the most memorable hits of the year.

The album—famously referred to as an "exploration of the dark side of psychedelia" byRolling Stone—provided the track, which was ranked on Billboard's list of the 100 best breakup songs of all time, coming in at No. 89 on the expansive roundup.

"Filled with financial metaphors, Funkadelic’s head-bopping Maggot Brain track is a cautionary tale about falling for the tricks of someone with 'insufficient funds' in the love department," the famed music publication noted of the song's message and why it was chosen for the lineup themed around heartbreak.

Related: Legendary '70s Guitarist Named Among 'Greatest Living American Songwriters'

Delivered as part of the group's album, Maggot Brain, the hit didn't see initial commercial success, but later became one of their most beloved releases.

Over the years, "Can You Get to That" has gotten the film and TV treatment, having been featured in movies like 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife and shows High Fidelity, Snowfall, Black-ish and Outer Banks.

Meanwhile, the track currently has over 102 million streams on Spotify.

The brainchild of George Clinton, Funkadelic first came together as The Parliament in 1955. Using icons like Jimi HendrixFrank Zappa, and Sly Stone as inspiration for the evolving sound, he revolutionized R&B during the ’70s, twisting soul music into funk. Funkadelic spawned from the doo-wop group, which was originally based on Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers.

"The Parliament/Funkadelic machine ruled Black music during the ’70s, capturing over 40 R&B hit singles (including three number ones) and recording three platinum albums," per georgeclinton.com's official informational Bio. "1978-79 was the most successful year in Parliament/Funkadelic history: Parliament hit the charts first with 'Flash Light,' P-Funk’s first R&B number one. 'Aqua Boogie' would hit number one as well late in the year, but Funkadelic‘s title track to 'One Nation Under a Groove' spent six weeks at the top spot on the R&B charts during the summer."

5. The Menu (2022)

In Mark Mylod's satirical dinner-murder The Menu, a deliciously sinister black comedy horror film, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult play a couple who head to a tiny island that's home to one of the most exclusive restaurants in the world. As Ralph Fiennes' chef starts dishing out the courses, it quickly becomes apparent that not everyone will make it through dessert, but who will survive and why the guests are being picked off is anyone's guess. Bon appetit!

4. Patch Adams (1998)

Starring comedy legend Robin Williams in the titular role, Patch Adams was inspired by the true story of medical doctor Hunter “Patch” Adams. In the film, Adams decides to become a doctor after his own experiences in a mental institution teach him that laughter is the best medicine. However, not everyone at the Medical College of Virginia (where Adams enrolls as the oldest student) agrees with his methods.

Paramount Pictures

3. The Naked Gun (2025)

In this reboot of the popular slapstick crime-spoof franchise, Liam Neeson is Frank Drebin Jr., the bumbling son of Detective Lieutenant Frank Drebin, who was played hilariously by the late Leslie Nielsen in the original Naked Gun films. Here, Drebin Jr. must follow in his father’s footsteps to save his police department from shutting down. With beautiful crime novelist Beth Davenport (Pamela Anderson) as the femme fatale, chaos ensues—of course.

2. Spaceballs (1987)

Whether you love Star Wars or hate it, Mel Brooks’ laugh-out-loud spoof of the sci-fi space epic has something for everyone, from big ships with “ludicrous speed” and aliens made entirely of pizza, to a strangely wise little creature named Yogurt and an absurdly large-helmeted villain played by Rick Moranis. If you’re just seeing this ‘80s comedy gem for the first time, all we can say is, “May the Schwartz be with you!”

Lionsgate

1. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)

Nicolas Cage has gifted us with many meme-worthy moments and comedies over the years (Moonstruck and Raising Arizona immediately come to mind), but The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent might just be his funniest work.

Cage, playing himself, satirizes his life as an aging actor. Down on his luck and tormented by visions of “Nicky,” a persona from his younger days, he decides to accept money to attend the birthday party of a superfan (Pedro Pascal). Events quickly turn into an action-packed CIA mission reminiscent of many of Cage’s most beloved films.

If you’re a fan of Nicolas Cage, Pedro Pascal or buddy comedies that poke fun at themselves, this one is a must-see!
