Which is why Isabel Klee of @simonsits is such a hit with social users. Isabel is a prominent dog foster parent, content creator, and author who works with Muddy Paws rescue in Brooklyn, New York. Isbael originally started sharing her foster work to "demystify" the process, as well as bring awareness to just how many dogs need help and are in shelters. Her videos became very beloved, especially on TikTok, and she became internet famous because of them.
Even though Isabel's social presence was already growing at the time, her account really skyrocketed when she fostered a little dog named Tiki in the summer of 2025. Rescued from a criminal neglect situation, Isabel documented Tiki's heartbreaking to heartwarming journey from being completely and utterly shut down, to learning how to just be a dog again.

In 1986, Muppets creator and filmmaker Jim Henson introduced Labyrinth, a musical fantasy movie that became a massive cult classic and continues to captivate audiences from different generations.
Long before modern CGI and visual effects dominated the screen, the movie showcased the peak of practical effects in cinema, blending a heartfelt coming-of-age story with groundbreaking technology for its time.
Beyond this, the movie also featured an interesting ensemble headlined by music icon David Bowie and the then-well-established teen star Jennifer Connelly.
The story centers around a teenager named Sarah, played by Connelly, who embarks on a journey to rescue her baby brother after he is kidnapped by Jareth, the Goblin King, portrayed by the late singer-songwriter.

With little time to navigate a dangerous and surreal maze filled with bizarre characters and puppets, she needs to save her brother from Jareth before he becomes a goblin forever.
Although Labyrinth received a lukewarm response and was considered a box-office failure, it received nominations at the 1987 BAFTA Awards for Best Special Visual Effects following its theatrical release.
It was only when the David Bowie-led musical movie appeared on home video that it achieved high VHS sales and frequent rentals at stores.
Decades later, the 1986 film remains among the most remarkable and iconic fantasy movies of the â80s and â90s and is now one of the top classic movies to stream today, as cited by Netflixâs Tudum.
Did You Know? Labyrinth Almost Didn't Cast David Bowie as the Lead RoleThe music legendâs portrayal was highly regarded as his most iconic project and a career-defining moment in acting.
However, before Bowie landed the platinum-blond-haired, dramatic-makeup-wearing character, he wasn't the first choice for the role.
In fact, fellow music stars like Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Prince, Mick Jagger and Sting were considered for the role.
Lo and behold, Bowie ended up getting the part and officially joined the film. But after signing, it turned out that the script and the story were heavily rewritten.
"He went for David Bowie, and it all went away for about a year,â screenwriter Terry Jones revealed as reported byUltimate Classic Rock, âWhen the script came back, I didnât recognize any of it," he added, noting, "Jim said, âCan you do a bit more to it? David Bowie doesnât want to do it anymore because it wasnât funny anymore.â"
While many musical fantasy films have come and gone, Labyrinthâs lasting legacy proves that its magic and Bowieâs timeless screen presence still hold a special place in pop culture today.
This 1980 Comedy Flick Turned Three Stars Into an Iconic Trio
Before 9 to 5 became a comedy classic, it was simply an ambitious idea built around three very different stars. But when Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin teamed up for the 1980 workplace comedy, they created one of the most memorable trios in movie history.
Released on Dec. 19, 1980, 9 to 5 followed three overworked office employees who decide to turn the tables on their sexist, overbearing boss. The comedy classic blends sharp comedy with workplace frustrations that resonated deeply with audiences at the time.
But those themes still ring true today.
The movie was also a major turning point for Parton, 80. Although she was already a country music superstar, 9 to 5 marked her feature film debut. It wasn't without doubts, though. Many were skeptical about whether audiences would accept her transition from music to Hollywood.
Naturally, Parton quickly proved she could hold her own alongside two established comedy powerhouses.
"I don't think I was scared," Parton joked in an interview. "I think I was horrified."
Fonda, 88, who also produced the film, has spoken about why she wanted Parton involved from the start.
"9 to 5 was Dollyâs first movie, and she was fabulous," Tomlin, 86, once said.
"During one of our rehearsals, I forgot a line and she recited it for me. I asked her how she knew my line, and she said, in her rapturous drawl...'Well, I never made a movie and I thought I better memorize the whole darn script.'"
That chemistry, paired with Tomlinâs dry wit and Fondaâs sharp delivery, became the film's biggest strengths. It's that kind of balance that helped turn the trio into a pop culture phenomenon.
The film became a massive box office success, earning more than $100 million domestically and ranking among the yearâs biggest hits. Its impact stretched far beyond theaters, too. Partonâs theme song, "9 to 5," became one of her signature hits and won two Grammy Awards.
Since its release, 9 to 5 has remained a fan favorite thanks to its humor, memorable performances and surprisingly timeless themes about gender inequality and workplace power dynamics.

2005 Smash-Hit Pacific Northwest Love Story Ranked an 'All Time Best Romance'
If you were teenager (or, frankly, had a pulse) in the early 2000s, it was impossible to miss the cultural impact of Twilight.
Originally titled Forks, the debut novel and series by Stephanie Meyer has gone on to sell over 160 million copies, with translations in 37 different languages. For two years the book and its subsequent sequels made Meyer the bestselling author in the United States. Despite some critics saying that the writing was overly simplistic and repetitive, Twilight is still massively popular and was listed in the top five for the list of "All Time Favorite Romance" books on Goodreads.
As anyone familiar with Twilight lore knows, the concept of the novel came to Meyer in a dream where a human girl and a vampire were in love even while he thirsted for her blood. Meyer sat down and wrote a draft of what would become Chapter 13 in Twilight. She wrote from that chapter to the end of the book, and the went back and backfilled the rest of the novel over the course of three months. Her sister read her completed manuscript, loved it, and encouraged Meyer to send it out to literary agents.
After signing with an agent, eight publishers competed for the rights to publish Twilight at auction in 2003. Meyer signed a $750,000 three-book deal with Little, Brown and Company, and Twilight was published in 2005. Twilight reached number five on The New York Times Best Seller list for Children's Chapter Books within a month of its release, and would later climb to the top spot.

Twilight follows 17-year-old Bella Swan, who moves from Phoenix, Arizona to the sleepy, rainy town of Forks, Washington to live with her dad after her mom hits the road with her new husband. Despite being awkward and somewhat shy, Bella settles in at Forks High easily and gains a lot of attention, particularly from boys. On her first day of school she meets Edward Cullen, who initially is repulsed by her but eventually becomes somewhat friendlier. Bella learns from Jacob Black, a local boy from the Quileute tribe, that Edward and the rest of the Cullens are "cold ones"âvampires who are committed to consuming only animal blood. Edward confirms this and he and Bella fall in love. But their forbidden romance faces grave danger when more vampires come to Forks, and seem hellbent on hunting down Bella.
The novel would go on to be adapted into a film starring Kristin Stewart as Bella, and Robert Pattinson as Edward in 2008.
Kirkus Reviews said of Twilight, "the portrayal of dangerous lovers hits the spot; fans of dark romance will find it hard to resist." The book is often credited with reigniting the love of paranormal romance in lovers of the genre.
Whether you're Team Edward or Team Jacob, it's safe to say that Twilight was an era defining romance in the early 2000s, and one that won't soon be forgotten.

1980 Iconic Pop Ballad, Sung by a Famous Hollywood Actor, Won a Grammy 45 Years Ago
Bette Midler has always been known as a triple threat in Hollywood, having sung more than a few hit tracks for her feature films. In 1979, Midler hand-selected a pop ballad for her grand film debut that ended up winning her a Grammy and cemented her footing in the film industry.
By the '70s, Midler had made a name for herself as a singer thanks to her studio albums and live performances. Before she became one of Hollywood's A-list stars and iconic actors, Midler made her acting debut in the musical film The Rose in 1979. The project was the perfect fit for Midler and would become the needed push to stardom. Loosely based on the life of Janis Joplin, Midler played the role of a self-destructive rock star battling the pressures of her career and the demands of her business manager.
Every musical needs its hit soundtrack and defining songs, with Midler hand-selecting the song "The Rose" to perform as the film's ending credits track. The track was written by actor and singer Amanda McBroom. In a 1981 Billboard article, McBroom admits the song didn't come out the way it was supposed to.
She was told by her manager to record a Bob Seger-style/rock 'n' roll track to land a record deal. Instead, McBroom sat down and wrote "The Rose" in 45 minutes and never changed a thing. It was written in 1977, and before it was a movie track, McBroom would sometimes perform it at clubs.
Related: 1988 Hit Ranked Among âGreatest Power Balladsâ Became a No. 1 Heartbreak Anthem
"The Rose" made it as part of the film thanks to Midler, who became enamored with it after it was rejected by the producer. The song ended up peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and topped the Adult Contemporary charts.
It became certified Gold by the RIAA and would lead Midler to win the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1981. Midler won against some of the biggest nominees with Irene Cara for "Fame," Olivia Newton-John for "Magic," Donna Summer for "On The Radio," and Barbara Streisand for "Woman in Love."
"It's the kind of song singers wait for all their lives," says Midler. "My real fans know me as a ballad singer anyway. They don't pay attention to the nutsy stuff. But for me to finally get some kind of mass recognition as a straight-ahead balladeer is probably the greatest thrill of my career."
The Rose not only further cemented Midler as a singer with a Grammy win, but also led to her first-ever Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. McBroom admitted the track wasn't nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars because she was honest about it not having been created specifically for the film. The American Film Institute ranks Midler's movie track as one of the best in American cinema.

Classic â60s TV Star Reflects on Tragedy, Sobriety and a âNow or Neverâ Life at 66
For millions of television viewers growing up in the late 1960s, Family Affair offered something comforting and familiarâa warm sitcom built around an unexpected family brought together after tragedy.
At the center of the series was Johnny Whitaker, the red-haired child actor who played Jody Davis opposite Anissa Jonesâ Buffy, Kathy Garver's Cissy and Brian Keithâs Uncle Bill. Nearly 60 years after the show premiered, Whitaker is now reflecting on the extraordinary highs and painful lows that followed his years as one of televisionâs most recognizable child stars.
Now 66, Whitaker tells Woman's World that heâs approaching this chapter of his life with what he calls a ânow or neverâ mindset.
âWell, I turned 65 last year⊠Iâm now 66,â Whitaker said. âAnd I decided that I was going to throw out four Hail Mary passes.â
Those âpassesâ include several ambitious projects that combine nostalgia, recovery and personal purpose. One centers around cruises Whitaker organizes for fans, friends and family, where he also visits orphanages and performs as âJuanito El Bonito,â singing with children and handing out gifts.
Another project is a documentary about Portugalâs approach to drug policy, which Whitaker says connects directly to his own recovery journey.
âIâm a person in long-term recovery from all mind-altering substances,â he said. âI celebrated 28 years clean and sober.â
Whitaker is also working on a memoir and preparing for a new acting role in the upcoming film Skye Bleu.
âSo thatâs my today â four Hail Mary passes,â he explained. âI figure, hey, 66 years old, itâs now or never.â
Whitakerâs road to fame began almost accidentally after he filled in for another child during a church performance. A member of the congregation encouraged his mother to take him to an agent, and he landed a job almost immediately.
That early success eventually led to Family Affair, though Whitaker revealed the role originally looked very different. According to the actor, the series initially planned for Jody to be a 10-year-old boy before producers noticed how much Whitaker and co-star Anissa Jones resembled each other.
âWhen they saw Anissa and I looked like twins, they said, âWeâre changing the script and itâs going to be twins,ââ Whitaker recalled.
The actor went on to appear in several Disney films and later starred in Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, but behind the scenes his life grew increasingly complicated.
Whitaker spoke candidly about the emotional impact of Jonesâ 1976 overdose death at just 18 years old, saying that in retrospect he wishes he had done more to help his former co-star.
âIn retrospect, I realized that I could have been a better friend to Anissa,â he admitted. âI did not know what she was going through.â
Years later, Whitaker struggled with addiction himself after a series of personal traumas, including a divorce and the death of a girlfriend. He eventually entered recovery and says he has remained sober for nearly three decades.
Today, Whitaker says he focuses less on fame and more on gratitude, purpose and the people still around him.
âI am glad to have gone through what I have,â he said. âItâs still not easy today, but I am blessed to still be here.â

Grammy-Winning Indie Rock Band Kicks Off Tour After Ex-Guitarist Indicted for First-Degree Murder
Just days after new legal developments surfaced involving Turnstileâs former guitarist, the Grammy-winning hardcore group took the stage at Welcome to Rockville.
The Baltimore-based band officially kicked off another stretch of live performances this weekend, continuing a massive festival run following their recent Grammy win.Â
While their set was slightly postponed due to tropical Florida weather, the group performed hits like "MYSTERY," "HOLIDAY," and newer releases like "BIRDS" and "Never Enough," which hit No. 1 on Billboardâs Alternative Airplay in 2025.
The band even got a shoutout from Dave Grohl during the Foo Fighters set that followed. "Nothing gets you pumped up like watching f**king Turnstile right before you go on," Grohl said to the crowd.
View this post on InstagramThe performance comes shortly after former guitarist Brady Ebert was indicted on an upgraded charge of attempted first-degree murder in Maryland. According to court records first reported on April 30, Ebert, 33, is now facing the new charge in addition to attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and second-degree assault tied to an alleged incident that took place in March.
Authorities previously alleged that Ebert struck William Yatesâthe father of lead singer Brendan Yatesâwith his vehicle before leaving the scene. William, 79, reportedly suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized following the incident.

Reports from The Baltimore Banner stated that Ebert says he acted in self-defense, and under Maryland law, the attempted first-degree murder charge carries the possibility of a life sentence if convicted. The band had already separated from Ebert years before the arrest.
Despite all that, the band has continued moving forward with a packed touring schedule that includes appearances at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza this year.Â
Rockville started as a relatively small Florida rock event back in 2011 and has since exploded into a four-day destination festival that brings in hundreds of thousands of fans to Daytona Beach each year. The fest takes place on the iconic Daytona International Speedway and features five stages, carnival rides, and delicious food.
This yearâs lineup includes huge bands like My Chemical Romance, Guns N' Roses, and Alice Cooper.
The Surprising Organ That Ages the Fastestâand What You Can Do About It
Our bodies aren't machines, but sometimes, comparing them to one can help you take control of your health. One machine that many of us are very familiar with? A car. And a urologist wants us to think of our bodies like a car, at least for a moment.
"You wouldn't wait for the engine to start smoking to get an oil change, right? It's the same with your organs," states Dr. Mutahar Ahmed, MD, a urologist and the director of the Center for Bladder Cancer at Hackensack University Medical Center.
He shares it's vital to understand that your organs age just like the rest of you, and some get "older" faster than others, adding, "This knowledge is empowering because it puts you in the driver's seat of your own health."
The fact that your brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, skin and other organs don't all celebrate the same birthday may surprise you. But a 2023 UK study of more than 5,500 people suggested that nearly 20% showed signs that at least one organ was on the fast track to aging. Unfortunately, quicker aging in an organ can increase the risk of death.
But it's not inevitable. A JAMA Pediatrics study suggested that having conditions or flags, like a psychological disorder, smoking or obesity, during adolescence was strongly linked to accelerated biological aging in midlife. Guess what these conditions have in common? They're treatable, meaning there's a lot you can do to slow aging down.
"Understanding this gives younger people a powerful reason to act early," explains Dr. David A. Taub, MD, the director of urologic oncology and robotic surgery at the Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health South Florida, Boca Raton.
Understanding which parts of the body are at risk of rapid aging is a huge first step. To help, doctors share the surprising organ that ages the fastest and what you can do about it.

The Surprising Organ That Ages the Fastest, According to DoctorsThe kidneys can age more quickly than other organs, and that's an issue.
"The kidneys are the body's master filtration system, cleaning about 50 gallons of blood every day," Dr. Taub tells Parade. "They remove waste products and excess fluid, balance essential minerals like sodium and potassium, help regulate blood pressure, activate vitamin D for bone health, and produce hormones that stimulate red blood cell production."
The scientific community is still trying to pinpoint exactly why kidneys age more rapidly than other organs.
"We do not know why the kidneys age as quickly as they do," says Dr. Samir Parikh, MD, the chief of the division of nephrology at UT Southwestern. That said, he and his team recently published a study proposing a theory: It may be possible to detect kidney wear and tear by measuring damage to the battery powering various functions in our cells.
"These batteries are our mitochondria," Dr. Parikh says. "Mitochondria contain their own genetic code, and we think this wear and tear gets etched onto the mitochondrial DNA in a way that [damages] the functions of kidney cells."
It's one theory, and an attractive one because it offers hope of life-altering action. "It immediately suggests ways to measure wear and tear before it becomes a medical problem and potentially even intervene to repair the DNA code," Dr. Parikh shares.
Other doctors also point to the constant work kidneys do as a reason for the organ's rapid aging. Dr. Taub describes the kidneys as one of the "most metabolically active organs in the body." It takes a lot of energy to drive processes like filtration, reabsorption and secretion.
"Every day, the kidneys filter the entire blood supply dozens of times, exposing their delicate structures to toxins, fluctuations in blood pressure and oxidative stress," Dr. Taub says.
He adds that common conditions, like high blood pressure, high blood sugar and obesity can directly contribute to kidney damage. Dr. Ahmed agrees, saying that kidneys age more slowly in individuals without underlying conditions like type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Kidney aging happens faster when people have these conditionsâand many do.
"Unlike some organs, the kidneys also have a limited ability to regenerate; once filtering units called nephrons are lost, they cannot be replaced," Dr. Taub adds.
Related: Doctors Warn This âNormalâ Pain Could Actually Be a Sign of Kidney Issues
What Happens in the Body as the Kidneys AgeAll kidneys age. How quickly a kidney ages depends on your health and lifestyle.
"'Aging' in the kidneys means a gradual decline in their filtering capacity, and this can happen over time, not quickly," Dr. Ahmed says. "With age, the number of filtering units in the kidneys, called nephrons, naturally decreases, and the blood vessels that supply them can harden."
He adds that this decline makes the kidneys less efficient, sort of like a coffee filter that gets clogged over time, explaining, "It still works, but not as well as it used to."
As your kidneys stop filtering as effectively, Dr. Ahmed says waste products can begin to build up in the blood, contributing to health issues.
"Your body may hold on to excess fluid and salt, which can cause swelling and high blood pressure," he shares. "The balance of minerals in your blood can also be thrown off, which can affect other organs and systems in your body."
That said, the kidneys are going to ageâbecause we age. "Starting around your 30s and 40s, kidney function may decline a little each year," Dr. Ahmed tells Parade. "The average drop is smallâoften about 1% per year or less in healthy people. Many people still have perfectly adequate kidney function into their 70s or 80s."
It can be hard to know where you stand, though. "Neither normal kidney aging nor actual kidney disease announce themselves to our bodies very often," Dr. Parikh says. "In fact, 9 out of 10 Americans diagnosed with kidney disease had no major symptoms before their diagnosis. The easiest way to know about your kidney health is to know your health numbersâyour blood pressure, your blood sugar and whether your weight is too high for your frame."
If you're concerned, talk to your doctor. You may catch kidney decline early. As it progresses, Dr. Ahmed shares that the symptoms of kidney function decline may include:
- Fatigue and trouble concentrating
- Difficulty sleeping
- Dry and itchy skin
- More frequent urination, especially at night
- Puffiness in your legs and ankles

What To Do About Kidney Aging"The good news is that kidney aging, while inevitable to some degree, is significantly modifiable," Dr. Taub says.
In other words, you can make changes now to slow kidney aging. Below, kidney experts share their top three suggestions.
1. Control your blood pressure and blood sugarHypertension and diabetes are leading causes of kidney diseases. "Over time, they can damage the delicate blood vessels in your kidneys," Dr. Ahmed says. "Keeping these numbers in a healthy range is the single most important thing you can do for your kidneys."
2. Eat a balanced dietDr. Taub says diets like the Mediterranean or DASH diet are rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes.
"[These] diets...reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure and decrease the production of waste products the kidneys must filter," he explains. "Keeping sodium below 2,300 mg per day helps protect the kidneys from the damaging effects of high blood pressure."
Staying hydrated can do quite a bit to support the kidneys. "Drinking enough water helps your kidneys clear sodium and toxins from your body," Dr. Ahmed says. "Think of it as helping to flush out the filters. Aim for around 1.5 to 2 liters a day, but this can vary based on your individual needs."

âBrady Bunchâ Star Eve Plumb Reveals Why She Doesnât Get Paid for Reruns of Classic Sitcom
Eve Plumb opened up about her Brady Bunch paycheckâand why it stopped more than five decades ago, even though the show is still on the air. Speaking with WGN News, the former child star speculated that the not-so-forward-thinking deal the cast members cut in the late 1960s could be why the show still airs all over the world in reruns.
âThatâs why itâs been on for 40 years, I think, because they donât have to spend money on residuals,â Plumb, 68, said in the May 2026 interview. âIt was [a different time]. The contract only allowed for 10 runs of each episode. And there was no cable, and there was no rerunning, so it sounded like a good deal.â
Plumb noted that there has been a reluctance to go back and renegotiate the deal that was made more than 50 years ago because many other shows âwould love to do it.â
âBut you know what? Itâs all right,â she added.

Plumb knew âThe Brady Bunchâ cast made less money than stars from other showsPlumb was just 11 years old when she joined the cast of The Brady Bunch as middle child Jan. She appeared in 117 episodes of the ABCsitcom from 1969 to 1974. In her memoir Happiness Included, she shared that her father, Neely Plumb, was diligent about protecting the money she earned on the show and kept a ledger down to the penny.
Plumb wrote that most fans think the cast members are rolling in residuals from âthe hundreds of thousands of times the five seasons of The Brady Bunch have been in reruns since 1974.â
âIf only it were so,â she admitted, adding that no one questioned the 10-run deal, including her agent, because no one ever dreamed the episodes would run more than a few times each.
âNeedless to say, that faucet of residuals income ran dry before I even graduated from high school,â Plumb revealed in her book.
In a fan Q&A posted on YouTube, Plumb explained she knew that stars on other ABC shows at the time were making more than the cast of The Brady Bunch, most notably The Partridge Family stars.
âI wasn't aware of any sort of [rivalry],â she said. âI mean, I know that the Bradys weren't getting as much money for our productions because things like Mod Squad was on the lot, and we were sort of looked down on. But The Partridge Family was very separate and such a different show. I didn't feel any rivalry.â
While she didnât get paid residuals, Plumb secured a savvy investment. In 2016, the actress sold a beach house she bought when she first started on The Brady Bunch in 1969. According to Page Six, Plumb paid $55,000 for the Malibu, California, property as a child and sold it for $3.9âmillion decades later.

The cakes can come decorated for any occasionâwith sports-themed centerpieces like basketballs, baseballs and soccer balls for your fall sports needs, witchy Bundts for Halloween, and what is Thanksgiving without a giant turkey-topped Bundt cake? All options. For fall, there's the fail-proof pumpkin spice Bundt.
The brand bakes cakes in various sizesâBundtinis (similar to cupcakes), personal-sized Bundtlets and 8- to 10-inch cakes that can feed more than two dozen. And they offer even more options when it comes to flavors. The menu features 10 core flavors and rotates seasonal flavors in and out, from limited-edition Caramel Apple Cider to Snickerdoodle.Â

Nothing Bundt Cakes
Vanilla is a quintessential cake flavor, albeit one that can disappoint the rather vocal contingency of chocolate fans out there. Nothing Bundt Cakes' vanilla cake is creamy and hits all the classic notes, allowing it to be a blank canvas for a dessert plate loaded with other sweets.
Where this Classic Vanilla Nothing Bundt Cake flavor falls short is really in the creativity. Vanilla is as groundbreaking as flowers for spring. You can get the flavor anywhere, anytime, and it's possible to make a case to skip out on paying a premium price for one.Â

14. Key Lime View this post on InstagramNothing Bundt Cakes added this flavor to its summer lineup in 2022, to mixed reviews. "I got this flavor yesterday, and it was everything I wanted it to be," wrote a Facebook commenter. "[It] may be one of my favorite flavors yet, and [I] hope it sticks around."Â
However, another wrote, "If you are expecting a true traditional key lime flavor, this is not it." Someone agreed it was the first Nothing Bundt Cake flavor that they didn't like because of the aftertaste. Nothing Bundt Cakes has brought this flavor back for the past few summers, so you can decide if this riff on the classic dessert is a hit or a miss for you.Â

13. Peppermint Chocolate Chip View this post on InstagramOffered: Winter
Made with real chocolate chips and peppermint pieces, this festive Nothing Bundt Cake flavor tastes like a candy cane or...toothpaste? It depends on who you ask.
While some fans say that this cake puts them in the holiday spirit, the comments sections of social media posts announcing the return of Peppermint Chocolate Chip are often full of people saying the brand is on their naughty list for not bringing back Gingerbread instead.
12. Blueberry Bliss View this post on InstagramThe flavor is "Blueberry Bliss," but Nothing Bundt Cake fans have differing opinions on whether this flavor lives up to the name. While some call the blueberry-swirled white cake "yummy" and "one of their favorites," others have called on the brand to mix the berry-flavoring with lemon instead.

11. Strawberries and CreamNothing Bundt Cakes
This fruity flavor was added to the year-round Nothing Bundt Cake menu in 2014. There's a surprise inside: There's some white chocolate mixed in with the bright berries, creating the strawberries-and-cream vibe.
For those who don't like the berry or view it as a seasonal fruit, this Nothing Bundt Cake flavor may hit differently when the weather is too cold to talk about. That said, if you're a year-round berry fan, you might want to give this one a try.Â

10. CarrotNothing Bundt Cakes
Carrot cakes can be controversial, regardless of their form. I mean, who eats cake to taste carrots? Nothing Bundt Cakes' carrot confections also have a polarizing following. The timeless cake has carrot and pineapple pieces throughout. The traditional cinnamon and nutmeg flavor (and fragrance) is designed to warm the body and soul on a cold day, whether that be a rainy day in April or a chilly December afternoon.
Some say this option is their favorite Nothing Bundt Cake flavor. Others prefer to pass, including a carrot defender who noted, "The only flavor I didn't like even though I am a carrot lover...this was too sweet â sorry," the person wrote.Â

9. ConfettiÂNothing Bundt Cakes
Nothing screams "celebration" than a confetti-dotted Bundt cake. Reddit fans have raved that this multi-colored Nothing Bundt Cake flavor indulges their "child-like palate," while another called it the "best and most subtle cake they have."
The aesthetic is charming and fits any occasion, from birthday bashes (particularly on too-adorable bundtinis) to New Year's Eve soirees. Yet, the flavor is similar to Classic Vanilla and suffers from the same issueâit's so common, albeit cuter. The lack of wow factor takes Confetti down a peg, but it's still worth celebrating.Â
8. LemonNothing Bundt Cakes
Lemon may get a "boring" peg similar to vanilla, but this sweet-meets-sour Nothing Bundt Cakes flavor is popular among Reddit fans. One noted it was "basically" the only flavor they got.
The citrusy flavor juxtaposed with the rich Bundt cake and the tangy cream cheese icing on top makes this treat one for all seasons.

7. Lemon Raspberry View this post on InstagramThis seasonal flavor hits Nothing Bundt Cakes' menus each summer, and it's arguably the brand's most refreshing option. The zesty lemon combines with sweet-tangy raspberries to create a flavor that proves a Bundt cake's density doesn't limit it to cold-weather affairs.
It's moist, sweet and, as a Yelp reviewer said, "very mouth-watering indeed." One of the reviewers' biggest gripes on Yelp and Instagram is that Nothing Bundt Cakes doesn't offer the lemon raspberry year-round.Â

6. Chocolate Chip Cookie Gluten-FreeNothing Bundt Cakes
People love themselves some Nothing Bundt Cakes. The biggest wish some make? More gluten-free options, at least if comments on pretty much every one of the brand's social media posts are to be believed.
Right now, only the Chocolate Chip Cookie flavor fits the gluten-free bill. This flavor is made with real-deal mini chocolate chips and has a rich flavor and decent texture, making it a worthy option whether you're on a gluten-free diet or not.

5. Pumpkin SpiceNothing Bundt Cakes
Offered: Fall
Are you really a food brand if you don't have a Pumpkin Spice something these days? Not really. However, having something pumpkin-flavored and having something good that's pumpkin-flavored are two different things.
Fans say that Nothing Bundt Cakes' Pumpkin Spice option is "delicious," with even pumpkin-hesitant types enjoying it. "I didn't even think I liked pumpkin spice, but I guess I do now, "one Redditor wrote of the timeless blend of spices, highlighted by so-fall cinnamon and nutmeg. The tangy cream cheese frosting was basically designed for this flavor.Â
4. Raspberry White ChocolateNothing Bundt Cakes
Lemon Raspberry is a seasonal offering, but Raspberry White Chocolate is blissfully on Nothing Bundt Cakes' menus all the time. The fluffy, white chocolate cake has zesty raspberry swirls and the creamy decadence of white chocolate balances out fruity puree.
All told it creates a rollercoaster for tastebuds that's all peaks and no valleys. Even people who steer clear of white chocolate find this Nothing Bundt Cake flavor irresistible.Â
3. SnickerdoodleNothing. Bundt Cakes
Another option that'll keep cookie and cake lovers satisfied, Snickerdoodle's perfect blend of cinnamon and sugar hits all the right notes. In addition to the cream cheese frosting, the cookie-cake combo comes topped with a thin layer of sugar that makes it extra tasty, and extra fun.
The flavor is familiar, but using a classic cookie as the inspiration for a cute Bundt cake is charmingâand delicious.
2. Chocolate Chocolate ChipNothing Bundt Cakes
This moist Bundt Cake is a chocolate lover's dream. The chocolate base is rich and smooth, while chocolate chips add crunch and (almost) more flavor than tastebuds can handle. The tang of the cream cheese frosting keeps it from being too cocoa-forward (if that's possible).
However, consider this pro-tip from a Redditor: It may sound like heresy, but one fan recommends trying it without the frosting. "It's so good warm and unfrosted," the person wrote (at least try it warm for a fresh-baked-cookie vibe).Â

1. Red VelvetÂNothing Bundt Cakes
The Red Velvet cake's decadence warms the tastebuds like a luxurious blanket. The chocolate cake batter has hints of vanilla, and the scarlet-red hue will stand out even among the most delicious offerings on a dessert table. The chocolate chips inside prove there's nothing "half-baked" about Nothing Bundt Cakes' riff on the classic Southern treat.
Take it from one Redditor who declared their favorite Nothing Bundt Cakes flavor: "Red velvet, and it has chocolate chips insideâOMG."

Texas Travelers Are Loving the Newest Way to Sail From Galveston
For years, if you wanted to sail on the newest, shiniest mega-ships, you usually had to book a flight to Florida. But as we head into the summer of 2026, the "cruise center of gravity" is shifting west. Galveston is now the fourth busiest cruise homeport in the U.S., and itâs no longer just a place for "older" ships. Today, the worldâs biggest cruise lines are moving their flagship vessels to Texas, catering to a massive "drive market" of travelers who would rather spend their vacation budget on a suite than a plane ticket.
Leading this charge is MSC Cruises, which is celebrating six months of year-round sailing from the Port of Galveston. Since the arrival of the MSC Seascape and the opening of the state-of-the-art Cruise Terminal 16 in late 2025, the buzz around the island has been hard to ignore.

The Rise of a New Cruise CapitalThe appeal of Galveston in 2026 comes down to the ultimate "no-fly" convenience for vacationers across the Central U.S. Lynn Torrent, President, MSC Cruises North America, explains that the milestone reflects a successful entry into a major market. âIn our first six months of operations, we are seeing strong momentum and clear validation of our approach to the Galveston market,â Torrent says. âGuests are responding exceptionally well to the Texas-inspired dining, entertainment and MSC Yacht Club experience aboard MSC Seascape, and we are hearing positive feedback from our partners. By continuing to listen to our guests and evolve the onboard experience, MSC Seascape offers something new for travelers in the region to discover just in time for summer.â

Following a seamless embarkation through Cruise Terminal 16, guests boarding MSC Seascape are welcomed by Texas-inspired enhancements developed specifically for the market. Dining options highlight Southern, Texan and Gulf Coast flavors, while bars and lounges feature regional beverages. Entertainment includes a resident country music band, dueling pianos, line dance classes and a Big Texas Sailaway Party, alongside MSC Cruisesâ full lineup of productions and live performances. For guests seeking an elevated experience, MSC Yacht Club offers a private, ship-within-a-ship concept with exclusive spaces, personalized butler service and premium amenities, bringing a new luxury option to the Texas cruise market.

The Seamless Start to SummerRodger Rees, Galveston Wharves port director and CEO, notes that the partnership has been smooth from the ground up. âAs we mark this six-month milestone, we couldnât be more pleased with MSC Cruises and our new terminal,â Rees says. âThis world-renowned cruise line has proven to be a great port partner every step of the way, from terminal design to daily operations. Based on passenger counts and feedback from cruise customers, Iâd say that Texans love the Texas-themed MSC Seascape and our new cruise terminal.â
Passengers give the portâs state-of-the-art cruise terminal complex positive feedback for its welcoming design, efficient layout and onsite parking garage, according to Galveston Wharves. As Rees puts it, âItâs all designed with the passenger in mind so they can be on this beautiful MSC ship just minutes after they arrive at the terminal.â

Star Wars Fans Saw the First 25 Minutes of The Mandalorian Movie and Say It's a Return to Form
Seven years is a long time to be away from a galaxy far, far away. When Lucasfilm invited select fans and influencers to IMAX theaters across the country on May 4 (Star Wars Day) to watch the first 25 to 30 minutes of The Mandalorian and Grogu, the mood going in was cautious. The film's earlier marketing had left much of the fanbase skeptical. What came out of those screenings, though, was something different from what the lukewarm box-office tracking numbers had suggested.
In Los Angeles, Lucasfilm president Dave Filoni greeted the crowd in person. At AMC Lincoln Square in New York, an armored Mandalorian and a puppet Grogu stood alongside fans before the footage rolled. When the reactions hit social media on May 5, they carried an energy that had been largely absent from Star Wars conversations since The Mandalorian's third season ended.
Fan account Star Wars Holocron, one of the larger franchise-specific accounts covering the property, posted within minutes of the screening, saying the footage felt cinematic, demanding to be seen on the big screen, with Ludwig Göransson's score drawing an emotional response from the audience. Kyle Selby, another attendee, said the movie hits the ground running from its first frames, with strong action and signature Grogu moments. William Devereux, a Star Wars podcaster, wrote that Din Djarin, the character Pedro Pascal has played, is arguably at his best in what he saw, and that the two leads' chemistry remains the irreplaceable center of the story.
Related: 5 'Mandalorian' Episodes to Binge Before the New 'Star Wars' Movie Drops
Not every reaction was unconditional. Several attendees noted that the CGI still needs polish in spots, and one viewer wrote that the opening felt more like a streaming show than a theatrical release when the credits first appeared. But even the qualified voices said they would be in their seats on May 22, and several pointed to the IMAX format itself as doing meaningful work with the aspect ratio, the scope of the action sequences, and Göransson's score all coming together well.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is the first Star Wars film in theaters since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, and the first time a Mandalorian-era story has made the jump from Disney+ to the big screen. The film is also arriving under pressure. Early tracking placed its domestic opening at around $80 million for the Memorial Day four-day weekend, below historic Star Wars benchmarks. Disney and Lucasfilm clearly know that, which is why free sneak screenings for core fans (the most likely to carry word-of-mouth) were built into the rollout strategy.
What those fans said was a comparison that will mean something to the 35+ audience that made the show a phenomenon. Multiple reactions, independently of each other, said the footage felt like The Mandalorian's first season scaled up for the big screen with the intimacy of the father-son story intact, but with action sequences and production design that justify the theatrical format. One observer compared the tone to Raiders of the Lost Ark, the old-fashioned adventure energy that Favreau and Filoni have cited as a creative touchstone from the beginning.
Pedro Pascal has spoken in interviews about watching Star Wars in theaters as a child in Chile, and how he always hoped Din Djarin and Grogu would eventually make it to the big screen. In late April, at a fan celebration in Mexico City, he was moved to tears on stage when he described that hope becoming real. The fans who got a preview on May 4 seemed to feel it too.
The Mandalorian and Grogu opens in theaters and IMAX on May 22, 2026.
Popular Comedianâs New Film Will Have Lower Ticket Prices So âEveryone Can Come Out to This Movieâ
Nate Bargatze, who is currently one of the most famous stand-up comics in the world, is about to release his new film, The Breadwinner. The comedy is about a father who has to keep the house from falling apart while his wife, played by Mandy Moore, goes away on a business trip.
Bargatze recently announced on his Instagram Stories that he is encouraging the theaters to offer a âNate Rate.â This is a special lower ticket price meant to make the movie more affordable for anyone who is interested in seeing it in theaters.
In his Instagram video, Bargatze said, âHello, everybody! My movie The Breadwinner is coming out May 29 and Iâve got something very exciting that I wanted to let you know. So the Nate Rate is a special kind of lower ticket price because we want everyone to come out to this movie. This movie is for your grandparents, grandkids, aunts, uncles, friends, sisterâŠanybody. Your dog. Cats I think will love this movie, specifically. Anybody that wants to come out, come out, use the Nate Rate.â
Although studios cannot determine pricing, the comedian is hoping that movie theaters will listen to his request. AMC Theaters, which is the largest chain in the country, has already agreed to sell tickets for matinee prices, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They also stated, âCinemark may discount prices by as much as 25 percent. Pricing and availability will vary, so audiences will need to check their local listings.â

The Breadwinner is based on a script Bargatze wrote with Dan Lagana. It was directed by Eric Appel and there will also be appearances by stars like Colin Jost, Zach Cherry, Martin Herlihy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Will Forte.
When speaking about the film with The Hollywood Reporter in 2025, Nicole Brown, president of Sonyâs TriStar Pictures, said, âThe idea of his first film being so personal and authentic to him and his comedy felt like the perfect foray, and heâd really identified a space. He was like, âI want to be able to watch a film with my whole family. We can go watch animation now, but thereâs nothing with real people in it.ââ

My Daughter Shared This Travel Hack With Me, and Now Iâll Never Travel Any Other Way
Having traveled everywhere from the emerald hills of Ireland to the rugged coasts of Australia, I considered myself a bit of a pro. My method was simple: leave no stone unturned. I was the queen of the rigid itinerary, planning every transit, meal and museum entry with the precision of a drill sergeant. I thought I was maximizing my time; in reality, I was suffocating the trip.
My adult daughter, however, travels with a completely different philosophy. Whether sheâs navigating the streets of Spain or exploring the UK on her own, she values a certain kind of "spontaneous discovery" that always made me nervous. Sheâd often tell me that by over-scheduling, I was actually missing the most authentic experiences.
I was hesitant to listen at first. But after a few recent trips with her and my husband, I realized she was right. In hindsight, my most cherished memories didn't come from a spreadsheetâthey came from the space between the plans. With Motherâs Day here, I wanted to share the one specific piece of wisdom she gave me that fundamentally changed how I see the world.

The Wisdom of Leaving Time UnplannedThe "philosophy" my daughter lives by is surprisingly simple: In every week-long itinerary, leave exactly one day completely blank. While I used to find comfort in the predictability of a detailed schedule, she taught me that reserving twenty-four hours without a single commitment is the only way to uncover the true character of a city. Itâs a buffer that transforms a vacation from a checklist into an adventure. As Patricia Parsons, a travel advisor with AAA Club Alliance Inc., puts it: âItâs more important than ever to allow for a balance of time on your own. It removes the pressure of rushing.â
Often, the most rewarding moments arise when you deviate from a schedule. An open day encourages the kind of serendipity that's impossible to planâstumbling upon a tucked-away cafĂ©, a scenic trail or a spot that simply demands you linger. As Parsons suggests, you need time to "get lost," whether that means searching for thrift-shop treasures or just relaxing on a beach.
This lack of an agenda offers the freedom to say "yes" to unexpected opportunities, like a local festival or a recommended hidden gem, as they unfold. By leaving room for your interests to manifest organically, you transform a rigid trip into a journey that is uniquely your own.

Trading the Spreadsheet for Spontaneity San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter Credit: Getty ImagesIn San Diego, an unplanned day led us away from the Safari Park and into the Gaslamp Quarter for a leisurely lunch and an afternoon of discovery in local shopsâa simple outing that became a highlight of our trip. Similarly, in Orlando, we swapped a rigid schedule for a morning of sleeping in and poolside massages. By the time we wandered into Downtown Disney for an impromptu outdoor dinner, the lack of reservations felt liberating rather than stressful.
Beyond just relaxation, this "hack" acts as a vital buffer against the unexpected. Whether itâs a weather delay or a closed attraction, an open day allows you to pivot without the anxiety of a collapsing itinerary.
Iâve also found this works beautifully on the high seas. While cruising the Hawaiian Islands on the Pride of America, my daughter used our open time in Maui to surprise me with the Maui Gold Pineapple Experience. Because I hadn't filled every hour, we were free to spend the afternoon in the pineapple fields learning about Hawaiian cultureâan experience that became the tripâs standout memory. Whether itâs a surprise tour in Hawaii or an impromptu trip to a Seattle comedy club recommended by a concierge, following my daughterâs lead has taught me that the best travel memories are often the ones you didn't see coming.

The "Buffer Day" Strategy The Norwegian Aqua in Miami. Credit NCLThe philosophy of spontaneity isnât just for the middle of your tripâit starts before you even unpack. If your budget and schedule permit, adding an extra day to the beginning of your itinerary is a game-changer. "This reduces stress and creates a buffer for flight cancellations or traffic delays," says Parsons. "It provides extra time to settle in, adjust to time changes, or explore the starting city."
This is especially vital for cruises. Arriving at your port city a day earlyâwhether you're embarking from Miami or Romeâdoes more than just ensure you don't miss the ship. It transforms a frantic travel day into a relaxed preamble, giving you the freedom to savor a local meal or discover a hidden gem before your voyage even begins.

Putting it into Practice: An Anniversary in London A Scene From Touring in London. Credit: Erica LambergI recently applied this "start slow" philosophy during a trip to London with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. In a city with an endless array of must-see sites, the old version of me would have been sprinting through a checklist. Instead, we prioritized flexibility.
By balancing our scheduled anniversary plans with wide-open blocks of time, we didn't just see London; we experienced it. We found that the moments we didn't plan became the ones that made the trip truly unique to us. Thanks to my daughterâs wisdom, Iâve finally learned that leaving room for the unexpected is the best gift you can give yourself.
