At least Tom Welling can laugh at himself after an unfortunate Instagram mishap.

The 49-year-old Smallville actor went viral on Saturday, October 10, after sharing a seemingly innocent photo of the New York City skyline from his hotel room ahead of New York Comic Con. However, fans quickly noticed his nude reflection in the window.

Welling appeared to be completely naked while taking the picture, accidentally giving followers a much more revealing view than intended.

The photo reportedly remained on his Instagram Stories for several hours before being deleted, but not before it attracted plenty of attention online. Now, Welling is getting in on the joke.

David H. Murdock’s Fifth Avenue duplex in Manhattan has been listed for $15 million, bringing the late billionaire businessman’s New York property to the market for the first time in more than 40 years. 

Murdock, the former chief executive of Dole Food Company, bought the apartment in 1984 and used it as a city home during business trips from Southern California.

Murdock died on June 9, 2025, at age 102. He built his fortune through real estate and corporate deals and became widely known for turning Dole into one of the world’s largest sellers of fruit and vegetables.

The apartment is a Renaissance Palazzo-style co-op spread across two levels. Per Robb Report, architect J.E.R. Carpenter designed the home to have the size and separate living areas of a traditional townhouse.

The $15 million asking price puts the property on the market more than four decades after Murdock first bought it. The listing also offers a look at a part of his life away from the food business and the large real estate projects that helped build his wealth.

David Murdock’s $15 Million Fifth Avenue Duplex

According to The New York Times, Murdock bought the Manhattan apartment in 1984, during a period when he was making major moves in business and real estate. He used the property as a pied-à-terre, a second home for short stays, while traveling to New York for meetings.

The duplex has two levels, a feature that helps give it the feel of a townhouse rather than a single-floor apartment. Its Renaissance Palazzo-style design reflects the architectural approach chosen by Carpenter, who planned the co-op with separate spaces and the scale of a traditional townhome.

The property is now being offered for $15 million. It is the first time the apartment has been put up for sale in more than four decades, according to the October 2026 report.

The listing comes after Murdock’s death at 102 in June 2025. His passing brought an end to a long career that included property development, corporate takeovers, food production and research into nutrition.

Murdock built his fortune through property deals before moving into the world of major corporations. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1923, he grew up in Ohio and left school as a teenager. He later served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

After the war, he arrived in Detroit with little money. With help from a loan company employee, he bought a small diner, improved it and sold it for a profit. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he began building homes and other properties.

His early success did not last without setbacks. A real estate downturn in the 1960s forced him to sell much of what he owned to repay debts. He moved to California and started again, expanding from property development into buying companies.

In the 1980s, Murdock became known for seeking businesses he believed were worth more than their market prices suggested. He bought controlling stakes, made major changes and looked for ways to increase their value.

In 1985, he acquired Castle & Cooke, a Hawaiian company that owned Dole. He went on to lead Dole for decades, expanding its business beyond pineapples and bananas into a wider range of fruits and vegetables.

Dole also moved into ready-to-use products, including bagged salads, cut vegetables and packaged fruit cups. These products helped the company reach more consumers who wanted convenient ways to buy fresh food.

Murdock led Dole from 1985 to 2021. During those years, the business became a major name in the global produce market. He later stepped away from the company’s board when Dole returned to public trading in 2021.

His business interests extended well beyond food. Through Castle & Cooke, he held real estate assets that included homes, offices, hotels and other properties. In 2012, he sold most of the Hawaiian island of Lanai to Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, according to LA Times.

At the time of his death, Forbes estimated Murdock’s net worth at $3.7 billion.

Murdock’s interest in health and nutrition became a major part of his life after his wife, Gabriele, died of ovarian cancer in 1985 at age 43. He believed that a better understanding of food and healthy living could help people live longer.

He changed his diet and promoted eating fruits and vegetables. He also put substantial money into research focused on food, nutrition and human health.

One of his largest projects was the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis, built on land connected to former textile mills. The campus brought together universities and research groups studying crops, food and nutrition.

His interest in longevity was especially strong. In interviews, he spoke about wanting to live to 125, a goal he did not reach. He continued working well into old age and remained connected to his business interests for many years.

Despite his wealth, Murdock’s career was also marked by controversy. His approach to running companies could involve deep cost cuts, factory closures and job losses. A 2015 Delaware court ruling also found that Murdock and a Dole executive were liable in a dispute over the company’s 2013 buyout. They were ordered to reimburse shareholders $148 million.

Murdock’s life included major personal losses as well. His eldest son, Eugene, died in a swimming pool accident in 1985, and another son, David II, died in a car crash in 2004.

His youngest son, Justin, and a granddaughter survived him.

In 1967, singer Harry Nilsson was looking for a song that could become his next hit, and soon enough, he heard a recording of the track “Everybody’s Talkin’,” written and originally recorded by Fred Neil. Nilsson decided to take a shot and recorded his own version, which came out the next year on the album Aerial Ballet.

Originally, Nilsson’s song did okay, but not great, peaking at No. 13 on the Billboard Bubbling Under the Hot 100 chart. Like some songs that go on to become hits, it needed a spark to really get the interest going, and thankfully, Nilsson found that in the movie Midnight Cowboy.

While working on the film, which stars Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, director John Schlesinger was introduced to Nilsson’s song and fell in love with it, choosing “Everybody’s Talkin'” as the theme song for Midnight Cowboy. Nilsson recorded a new version of the song to fit well with the film, and the rest is history.

Midnight Cowboy ended up being a movie loved by critics and audiences, and as expected, interest in Nilsson’s song also grew. He re-released the track as a single in 1969, and this time around, “Everybody’s Talkin'” was a certified hit.

It peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and went on to receive a Grammy for Best Contemporary Vocal Performance, Male.

All of Nilsson’s success with “Everybody’s Talkin'” is thanks to Neil writing the song in the first place, and according to reports, the singer-songwriter took only five minutes to put the track together, doing it in the bathroom of a recording studio in Los Angeles, Calif.

Nilsson changed some things up with his version, featuring a string arrangement played by six violinists that works well with his subdued vocals. Clearly, it was the right choice, as he ended up taking home a prestigious reward a few years after its release.

The song is still beloved decades after its release, and Paste magazine even ranked “Everybody’s Talkin'” at No. 56 on its list of “The 100 greatest songs of the 1960s.”

Tobey Maguire is taking the idea of friendly exes to a whole new level.

The Spider-Man actor, 51, officiated his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer’s wedding to Geoffrey Ogunlesi on Saturday, October 10, just weeks after he and Meyer officially ended their marriage.

The jewelry designer, 49, exchanged vows with Ogunlesi, the son of Nigerian billionaire Adebayo Ogunlesi, at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. The ceremony had plenty of celebrity guests, including Courteney Cox, Rachel Zoe, Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, and Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

All three of Meyer’s children were also in attendance, including Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17, whom she shares with Maguire, and her infant daughter with Ogunlesi.

Fans were a bit perplexed when they saw photos of the ceremony shared by PEOPLE on Instagram that showed Maguire officiating the ceremony.

“Yes, one — they give you a dressing room nearer the stage. Otherwise, forget it,” she replied, going on to share her displeasure about constantly being asked about retiring or stepping back from acting.

Taking it a step further, Dench revealed that her dream way to die would actually be backstage during a theater production: “I want to be like Newton Blick, who died in his dressing room after a performance.”

Making it even clearer that she has no intention of ever stopping acting or going on adventures, Dench added, “I want to be one of those women who throw themselves out of planes when they’re 100.”

“Quentin called, I said yes before he even got to say his first ‘motherf–ker,'” Baron Cohen, 54, said in a statement, per Variety. “When the best director in the world calls, you don’t ask questions. Ella Langley is breaking her silence after canceling one of her concerts due to a security threat.

On Friday, Oct. 9, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer announced on social media that her show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, scheduled for that night would be canceled due to security concerns.

“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show,” Langley’s statement read in part. “This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.”

The following day, Langley addressed the situation onstage while performing in Lubbock, Texas, explaining why she stood by her decision to cancel the previous night’s concert.

“When it comes to keeping you safe and making sure that this show is a safe place for us to come and enjoy our music, then it will happen—but the second it feels like it will not, I’m not doing it,” she told concertgoers during her Saturday, Oct. 10, show. “I’m not doing it, because a concert’s not worth a human life. It’s not.”

“I would have made yesterday’s decision 10 billion times over—and I’d do it tomorrow and I’d do it the next day because, while I’m grateful to get to do what I do, it’s not the most important thing in this life,” she continued. “What’s the most important thing in this life is the people around that love you and are there for you no matter what. The most important thing in this life is making sure you wake up every day and feel like, ‘You know what? I’m good today and I’m so grateful to have woken up today.’”

Langley also spoke about the role her faith played in her decision to perform in Lubbock.

“The most important thing in this life, No. 1., is your relationship with Jesus Christ. If it wasn’t for him, I would have canceled this show tonight. I would have, but I felt this calling and this tug in my chest saying, ‘It’s OK, we’re safe and we can do this show.’ I decided to because of him right there, and that’s the only reason.”

The singer concluded by saying she has no intention of allowing the incident to make her “live in fear” and that no one can scare her out of making and performing music, which she described as her calling in life.

Langley also thanked her fans for attending the show despite the frightening incident.

“I just want to say thank you so much for showing up tonight. I know yesterday was scary,” she said. “It was scary for all of us, but we’re just so grateful to be playing this show tonight … and we will never take this for granted. We love it, we love what we do [and] I wouldn’t trade it for the world. This is my favorite thing to do in my life.”

Neither Langley nor the venue, the BOK Center, specified the nature of the security threat in Tulsa. However, local outlet News On 6 reported that the incident involved an alleged false bomb threat.

Tulsa Police Department Capt. Richard Meulenberg later confirmed in a Facebook video that officers received a bomb threat call and conducted a preliminary sweep with K-9 officers, finding no indication of a threat. However, police were forced to return to the venue after receiving a phone call warning of potential gunfire and bombs at the event. 

Authorities ultimately found no evidence of a credible threat and left the decision to cancel the concert to Langley’s team.

Langley is currently on the road for her Dandelion tour, which supports her album of the same name. The tour is scheduled to run through Oct. 31, when it will end at the Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The Tragic True Story Behind ‘Local Boy in the Photograph’

The song was inspired by the death of a young man Jones knew through playing county football. Jones remembered him as someone who seemed to have everything going for him.

Speaking on the television program Songbook in 2011, per Radio X, the frontman recalled, “I used to play kind of county football […], and there was a kid that used to play right back. I got to know him pretty well. He was a really cool, good-looking kid. He was kind of one of those that you looked and thought, ‘He’s got it all.’”

Jones later learned that the young man, identified by the outlet as Paul David Boggis, had died by suicide after jumping in front of a train.

“And then, a few years later, we found out he jumped in front of a train, and we were all a bit shocked by it, and we read about it in the local paper,” Jones said.

He recalled that the newspaper published a photograph of the young man, which helped inspire the song’s title.

Kelly Jones Was Just 18 or 19 When He Wrote the Song

Jones turned the tragedy into a song that explored the shock of losing someone young and the memories left behind. He explained that, at the time, he had little experience processing such a loss.

“I’d never really known anybody our age to do that, to end their life kind of, and nobody really knew why he ended his life,” he said. “And when you’re 18 or 19 you’re quite naive, and you just write everything down.”

Rather than focusing solely on the young man’s death, Jones wanted the song to celebrate his life and the people who remembered him.

“And it was just more about a celebration of his life than it was about his death, really,” he explained, describing the imagery of friends sitting by the riverbank, drinking, and talking about the person they had lost.

Radio X has since described “Local Boy in the Photograph” as one of Stereophonics’ best-loved songs, calling it one of Jones’ most poignant lyrics.

The Stereophonics Song Became a Fan Favorite

“Local Boy in the Photograph” was released as Stereophonics’ debut commercial single on March 17, 1997, before appearing later that year on the band’s debut album, Word Gets Around.

FOX’s hit survival competition Extracted is coming back for another season—and the production required to capture all that wilderness drama is enormous.

FOX Entertainment Global announced Oct. 11 that season 3 of Extracted recently wrapped production at Lake Kenyir, Malaysia, where the network has built a permanent production hub for the reality competition.

According to FOX, the Malaysian operation deploys more cameras than the Super Bowl to capture the contestants’ survival challenges, decisions and emotional interactions with their families.

Now the network plans to use that massive production setup to take Extracted around the world.

FOX announced that the Lake Kenyir facility will serve as a turnkey production hub for international broadcasters looking to create localized versions of Extracted. The company will introduce the facility to international buyers during MIPCOM CANNES.

The permanent hub includes sets, a production headquarters, established workflows and experienced local crews, allowing international licensees to make their own versions of the show without having to recreate its elaborate production infrastructure from scratch.

“Extracted has all the ingredients of a universally resonant format: a powerful premise, stunning visuals, unforgettable family dynamics, and incredibly high stakes,” Prentiss Fraser, president of FOX Entertainment Global, said in a statement.

Bourbon lovers have a new limited-edition bottle to add to their wish lists. Russell’s Reserve has unveiled its Single Rickhouse 2026 – Camp Nelson D, a $300 bourbon with a distinctive flavor profile that even surprised the team behind its creation.

The fifth release in the brand’s acclaimed Single Rickhouse Collection explores how a whiskey’s aging environment can influence its flavor, even when the ingredients and production methods remain consistent. This year’s edition stands out for its unexpected rye-like spice, a characteristic shaped by the unique conditions inside the historic warehouse where the bourbon matured.

Built in 1946, Camp Nelson D is one of five historic rickhouses still standing on the Camp Nelson property. Located on the western side of the campus, it sits at the highest elevation of any warehouse featured in the collection so far. Its exposed, west-facing position also creates consistent airflow, offering a distinct environment for aging bourbon.

For Master Distiller Eddie Russell, the release also carries personal significance. Russell said Camp Nelson D was the first rickhouse he worked in when he began his career as a union employee 45 years ago.

“We set out looking for those sweeter notes we know and love, but the rye spice notes immediately stood out,” Russell said in a release shared with PARADE. “It’s the most different Single Rickhouse release we’ve created, proving how every rickhouse can shape whiskey.”

The team selected barrels from five different floors of the warehouse, including the first floor, which Russell said is not typically part of the selection process. Those barrels helped contribute an earthy character that complemented the spicy profile of the final bourbon.

In fact, Russell said the whiskey’s flavor was so unexpected that a blind tasting could lead drinkers to mistake it for rye whiskey rather than bourbon.

The finished bourbon has aromas of baked fruit, apple, baking spices and vanilla. On the palate, drinkers can expect cinnamon, cloves, stone fruit and rye bread, followed by a medium-length finish featuring rye spice, pepper, cinnamon and spicy oak.

Bottled at 120.8 proof and presented without chill filtration, the release arrives as Russell celebrates 45 years at Wild Turkey Distilling Co.
