From starring as a father who dooms his family to be haunted by a horrifying entity in the bona fide scariest movie, Sinister, to making a chilling mark as modern horror’s boogeyman, The Grabber, in The Black Phone film series, Ethan Hawke still has more to explore in the genre. This time, The Lowdown actor reunites with his frequent collaborators, filmmaker Scott Derrickson (The Gorge) and writer C. Robert Cargill (The Black Phone 2), for Midnight Radio, a supernatural audio serial coming to iHeartPodcasts.

In a report from Deadline, Hawke discussed the collaboration that will be released later this month: “None of us had made a podcast before, so it was a blast to pour ourselves completely into a venture where we had total creative freedom.” The first episode of the nine-episode series will drop on October 22 on the iHeartRadio app and all major podcast platforms and follows a Late-Night AM radio host’s descent into a supernatural conspiracy after receiving a call from an anonymous source tied to a secret U.S. space mission omitted from history. What starts as a government cover-up peels away to reveal mind-bending interdimensional cracks, terrifying transmissions, and more in the upcoming psychological audio thriller.

Hawke continued, “There’s an intimacy to the audio-only medium that can be really powerful, and in our case, used to a terrifying effect. Of course, it requires great writing… Fortunately, Scott Derrickson and Cargill are two of the best writers I’ve ever worked with.”

After its debut on October 22, new episodes will drop every following Thursday at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET wherever you get your podcasts. It will feature voice talent that includes Noah Centineo (Street Fighter), Vincent D’Onofrio (Daredevil: Born Again), and Willa Fitzgerald (The Fall of the House of Usher). Grey’s Anatomy fans know Harry Shum Jr. well. He’s also famous for Glee and Shadowhunters, but right now, he’s showing off his skills on the dance floor on Dancing with the Stars.

It’s sometimes hard to believe that he’s 44 years old, especially since many are used to watching him play a teenager or a young adult. Yet, his career in both dance and acting spans almost two decades, and so does his relationship with his wife, Shelby Rabara, who is just a year younger than her husband, at 43.

The two went on their first date around 2007, when they went to see the movie musical Dreamgirls. It was thanks to Rabara that Shum Jr. auditioned for the role of Mike Chang on Glee, landing his breakout role.

The two met almost by chance. A photographer put their headshots side-by-side, and when Shum Jr. saw the picture, he thought that Rabara was pretty. Because of that, he immediately recognized her, and it felt like the perfect match.

Shum Jr. and Rabara got engaged after six years of dating, with the Shadowhunters star taking his girlfriend on a vacation to Hawaii in October 2013. They then married two years later in Costa Rica, and they have never looked back since.

Rabara is a dancer and an actress, training in ballet and jazz. Basketball fans may recognize her from her time on the Los Angeles Lakers cheerleading squad, the Laker Girls, and she has also appeared on shows such as Goliath, 2 Broke Girls, and Grounded for Life.

Most recently, she joined the voice cast of Toy Story 5, where she voiced the character Snappy, the cute little camera. Steven Universe fans will also recognize her as the voice of Peridot in the Cartoon Network franchise.

This is Shum Jr.’s first and only marriage.

Shum Jr. has often talked about the deep love and connection between the two of them, making it clear that he makes romance a priority. He wants to find ways to connect with Rabara outside of being a parent to their daughter.

The two have one child together, a daughter named Xia. She was born in March 2019.

Rabara had a brief guest appearance on an episode of Glee after Shum Jr. landed the role of Mike. However, their work together has been in the publishing world.

They co-wrote a children’s picture book, Martee Dares to Dance. The entire story was a chance for the two to share their passions for both parenting and dancing, but it’s also a way to encourage children to have confidence in expressing themselves.

Shum is 44 years old, born on April 28, 1982.

Rabara is 43 years old, born on Oct. 5, 1983.

Ahead of the release of A Court of Splintered Harmony on Oct. 27, online fitness platform Micro Squad is releasing a collection of workouts designed to catch readers up on everything that’s happened in Prythian since we last visited.

The challenge features 10-minute workouts described as “a 14-day fantasy fitness adventure inspired by A Court of Thorns and Roses,” and just kicked off on Oct. 14. Samantha Willens, a certified trainer who founded Micro Squad, first discovered Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series in 2022 after a Pilates client recommended it. Inspired by the Valkyrie training featured in A Court of Silver Flames, she began creating themed workouts before developing Valkyrie Squad, a four-month fitness program incorporating Pilates, martial arts, yoga, meditation, and sword-training techniques.

“I wanted A Court of Silver Flames to be felt through every aspect of the program and to feel like you’re stepping straight into the books,” Willens tells Parade, “training alongside Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie, filled with book references, scene descriptions, and plenty of Cassian-inspired sass.”

In addition to her free 14-day series, Willens offers the four-month Valkyrie Squad program, which takes members through four advancing levels: Novice, Blade, Valkyrie and Ataraxia. Through the workouts, Willens hopes to help fans connect with the characters they love while building strength, endurance, and confidence in their own lives.

“We can struggle and still get up like Nesta,” she says. “We don’t have to start out as this badass person who never falters.”

For Willens, the appeal of romantasy-inspired fitness goes beyond the books themselves. It’s about giving fans a way to bring the stories and characters they love into their everyday lives, while discovering just how powerful they can become.

“No, we can’t learn magic or grow wings,” says Willens, “but we can get stronger.”

Frank Sinatra’s legendary career and timeless elegance were reflected in his real estate portfolio, including his 4,500-square-foot Palm Springs home, famous for its iconic piano-shaped swimming pool.

In the 1940s, the singer and actor arrived in Palm Springs hoping to find a weekend home for his family after earning his first million dollars following a lucrative movie deal.

“Frank came in with a white sailor hat and an ice cream cone and said, ‘I want that house,’” recalled architect E. Stewart Williams, who designed the A-lister’s iconic desert estate.

When Sinatra commissioned the house in 1947, he initially requested a Georgian-style mansion. However, Williams presented a design better suited to Palm Springs’ desert environment, featuring long horizontal lines and unconventional building materials.

The four-bedroom, seven-bathroom home, which cost $150,000 to build, was transformed into an air-conditioned Desert Modern house where Sinatra celebrated the New Year after the property was completed.

Located at 1145 East Vía Colusa, Palm Springs, California, the now-iconic estate was home to Sinatra and his first wife, Nancy Barbato, and later to his second wife, Ava Gardner.

Reflecting the home’s distinctive design, the swimming pool is shaped like a grand piano.

Further enhancing the musical theme of the area, cutouts in the pergola roof cast shadows resembling piano keys along one edge of the pool, an effect that was reportedly unintentional.”

Although the California estate boasts a welcoming atmosphere and a desert-inspired ambiance, it also witnessed the turmoil of Sinatra’s relationship with Gardner, his second wife.

“It was the site of probably the most spectacular fight of our young married life, and honey don‘t think I don’t know that’s really saying something… Frank’s establishment in Palm Springs, the only house we really could ever call our own, has seen some pretty amazing occurrences,” the actress recalled in her autobiography.

One of the most notorious incidents during their marriage involved a champagne bottle reportedly thrown during an intense argument inside the home’s infamous pink-tiled bathroom, which was located off the primary bedroom.

The bottle reportedly left a crack in a bathroom sink, which remains preserved in the house today.

The couple’s tumultuous marriage ultimately led Sinatra to sell the property in April 1953, per the New York Post.

Today, the estate is available for private vacation rentals and other short-term stays.

Moreover, Sinatra’s Twin Palms estate was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

This designation recognizes the property’s historical and architectural significance in the United States.

Poison fans are used to seeing Bret Michaels with his trademark blonde locks, cowboy hats, and bandanas, but a newly shared throwback picture shows a totally different side of the heavy metal frontman.

Captured during his junior high school years in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, the nostalgic snapshot highlights just how much the rock legend’s image evolved before he launched one of the biggest hair metal bands of the ’80s. The musician and diabetes advocate shared the vintage snap to his Instagram account on October 13.

Michaels is seen in the black-and-white snapshot with his natural dark hair worn to his shoulders. He wore a plaid shirt over a vintage rock tee.

He captioned the upload, “On this motivational Monday, looking back over my Mechanicsburg Junior High School yearbook photo, sporting a flannel shirt and a Foghat/Sweet concert T-shirt after just seeing the show at Hershey Park Arena. I was filled with inspiration, motivation, determination & passion.”

Michaels continued, “I had no money and no means, but I had a guitar and determination, and I was filled with the most important thing of all: HOPE. The hair metal icon concluded, “From the garage, to the smallest of clubs, to the biggest of stadiums, I play each with the same passion, gratitude & motivation, and have been left with the best gift of all: never letting the industry make me bitter, but rather learning to embrace it, face it & rock the world!”

Fans quickly reacted to both the image and Michaels’ words of inspiration. They shared their remarks in the post’s comments section.

“Glad you made your dream come true Bret. I have been your fan for over 40 years now,” wrote one follower.

A second fan penned, “Persistence, passion, patience and practice… the 4 Ps of power in my eyes. Anyone with a fringe of a dream can make it happen, sometimes you just need to let go and make it so.”

Decades before the leather jackets, bandana, and platinum hits, Bret Michaels was just another teenager snapping a yearbook photo. Bob Odenkirk mourned the death of Breaking Bad co-star RJ Mitte, who died Monday at age 34.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Odenkirk remembered Mitte, who played Walter “Flynn” White Jr. in Breaking Bad, as a “good person who shared his personal story and his time to help out others.”

“Whenever I saw him, he was meeting the world with positivity and a strong desire to connect,” Odenkirk said. “This is simply, deeply sad.”

According to TMZ, law enforcement found that Mitte died by suicide. The exact cause of death is still being investigated. Outside of Breaking Bad, Mitte, who lived with cerebral palsy, is remembered for his work as a philanthropist and a disability rights advocate.

In a statement to PEOPLE, a representative of Mitte said that the actor brought “authenticity” to his role on Breaking Bad.

“[Mitte] built a platform on disability awareness and inclusion,” the representative added. “Beyond entertaining friends and family around the world, he served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s.”

Along with Odenkirk, Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul mourned Mitte’s death with their own heartbreaking messages.

I’m in deep despair as I write this tonight. RJ Mitte, my sweet son on Breaking Bad has died,” wrote on Instagram. “I met him when he was only 14 years old when he was cast as Walter White Jr., a part he played with such joy and enthusiasm…It is especially devastating to hear that he took his own life.”

“I am at a loss,” Paul told The Hollywood Reporter. “I am heartbroken over this news. RJ, I love you my friend. You will be missed.”

American Girl fans who grew up with Samantha Parkington are about to get a chance to catch up with their favorite doll in a whole new way.

For the first time, American Girl is releasing an adult novel centered on one of its beloved historical characters. Samantha: The Next Chapter, written by bestselling author Fiona Davis, follows Samantha at age 25 as she navigates life in 1920s New York City.

Davis, known for historical fiction novels including The Stolen Queen and The Lions of Fifth Avenue, tells People that when American Girl first approached her about the project, she initially wondered whether the email was a hoax. Once she confirmed the opportunity was real, she embraced the challenge of imagining what Samantha’s life might look like as an adult.

“As an author, that is such a gift to be given this whole character as a 9 or 10-year-old, and be able to say, ‘What will she be like when she’s 25?'” Davis told People. “And, oh, it was so much fun. It was really great.”

Originally introduced in 1986, Samantha was one of American Girl’s first historical characters. In her original stories, she was an orphan raised by her wealthy grandmother in the early 1900s, learning about issues including child labor and workers’ rights along the way.

The new novel picks up in 1920, with Samantha encouraging women in New York to vote in their first presidential election. But when her inheritance and childhood home are stolen, she goes from socialite to shop girl, living in a boarding house and venturing into the city’s criminal underworld to uncover the truth. For Davis, the challenge was balancing nostalgia with a story that could stand on its own.

“You want to balance the nostalgia, which is absolutely there, with a forward-moving plot and a dynamic character,” Davis said. “My hope was it would be like going on a road trip somewhere new with an old friend.”

The year 1920 also offered a timely backdrop, as the ratification of the 19th Amendment opened the door for women to vote nationwide.

Davis says the era was marked by sweeping changes in fashion, employment, education and women’s empowerment. She also sees Samantha’s story as an opportunity to revisit the qualities that made American Girl characters so memorable.

“All the characters, have this tenacity at their core, a fight for justice and a curiosity about the world,” she said.

Davis hopes the novel will appeal to longtime fans while introducing new readers to historical fiction.

“My hope is that for people who don’t even know historical fiction or don’t read it, that they can be introduced to it,” she said.

Samantha: The Next Chapter is available now wherever books are sold.

“Get a Job” was a hit 1957 song released by The Silhouettes. The song rose all the way to number one on both the Billboard R&B singles chart and pop singles chart. It went on to be featured in hit films like American Graffiti, Trading Places, and Stand by Me. The song was also featured on American Bandstand, which helped it achieve even more popularity. It ended up staying on the charts for thirteen weeks and sold an estimated three million copies.

Rick Lewis, who wrote the song before the band was even officially formed, spoke about the creation of the hit. “When I was in the service in the early 1950s and didn’t come home and go to work, my mother said, ‘Get A Job,’ and basically that’s where the song came from,” he revealed.

When speaking about the popularity of the song, Lewis later said, “Someone somewhere put it on, and there was no stopping it after that.”

The song became so well-known that even John Lennon spoke about it during a 1971 interview. When it came on the radio, he said, “Hey, listen, Yoko, that’s ‘Get A Job,’ one of the old ones.” He turned and added, “I’m having to educate her about rock’n’roll, you see.”

The song is still popular to this day. As one listener on YouTube stated, “One of my favorite oldies! Love it! Great production vocals, song lyrics – perfect! One of the top ten hits of 1957.” Another said, “The end credits of Trading Places (1983) brought me here! I love this song!”

The Silhouettes also recorded songs like “I Am Lonely,” “I Sold My Heart to the Junkman,” and “Miss Thing.” However, “Get a Job” was their only song to ever hit the charts. The group officially disbanded in 1968. However, the four original members reformed the group in the ‘80s and performed for years. They gave their final performance in 1993.

Lewis died in 2005 at the age of 71.

Red Robin is piling on the beef with an indulgent new burger that combines a traditional burger patty with sliced prime rib.

Starting Oct. 19, the restaurant chain is launching its new Prime Rib Stack Burger for a limited time at participating locations nationwide, alongside a much larger menu update that includes the return of two fan-favorite burgers, five new Bottomless Refreshers, new chicken wing flavors and two decadent milkshakes.

The Prime Rib Stack Burger starts with a hand-pressed beef patty and adds tender sliced prime rib, Monterey Jack cheese, caramelized onions and garlic aioli, all served on a black-and-white sesame seed brioche bun. It comes with one of Red Robin’s bottomless sides.

“Burgers are in our DNA, and we wanted to create a burger that brings a little extra indulgence to the table,” said Brian Sullivan, executive chef and vice president of Culinary & Beverage Innovation at Red Robin, in a statement. “The Prime Rib Stack Burger is piled high with all the good stuff – a juicy beef patty, tender sliced prime rib, melty cheese and plenty of flavor in every bite.”

The Prime Rib Stack isn’t the only burger joining the menu Oct. 19.

Red Robin is also bringing back the Bleu Ribbon Burger and Burnin’ Love Burger, and this time they’re joining the chain’s Big YUMMM Deals menu.

The Bleu Ribbon Burger is topped with HEINZ 57 Sauce, bleu cheese crumbles, crispy onion straws, lettuce, tomato and green chili aioli on a brioche bun.

For customers who want more heat, the Burnin’ Love Burger piles on fried jalapeño coins, salsa, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and green chili aioli.

Big YUMMM Deals start at $9.99 and include an entrée, bottomless side and beverage at participating locations. Pricing and availability can vary by restaurant.

There’s also a colorful new addition to Red Robin’s famously bottomless lineup.

The chain is introducing five Bottomless Refreshers: Tropical Dragon Fruit, Mango Passion Lemonade, Sunset Lemonade, Poppin’ Purple Lemonade and Raspberry Limeade.

Customers can also add Red Bull to any Refresher flavor for an extra boost.

The Oct. 19 menu update goes well beyond burgers and drinks. Red Robin is adding Spinach Artichoke Dip, plus two new chicken wing flavors. Lemon Pepper wings feature a citrusy lemon pepper seasoning, while Lemon Pepper Buzz combines that seasoning with Red Robin’s Buffalo-style sauce.

A new Signature Grilled Chicken & Broccoli entrée lets customers choose ancho marinade, Whiskey River BBQ sauce, teriyaki or blackened chicken.

Dessert hasn’t been forgotten, either. A Cookie Dough Milkshake combines vanilla soft serve and cookie dough with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and more cookie dough. Customers can also order it with chocolate soft serve.

The new Salted Caramel Brownie Milkshake blends vanilla soft serve with chocolate chip brownies, salted caramel and chocolate before being topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce.

The Prime Rib Stack Burger and the rest of the new lineup arrive at participating Red Robin restaurants nationwide on Oct. 19.

Two decades ago, Hugh Jackman traded his Wolverine claws for a crossbow and a leather trench coat to lead one of 2004’s most polarising blockbusters.

Van Helsing was crushed by critics upon its theatrical release, but moviegoers proved them wrong by propelling the gothic monster movie to gross over $300 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. Now, the fan-favorite action-horror flick is officially streaming on Prime Video, giving viewers a chance to revisit the early 2000s smash hit.

Currently, the film is ranked No. 8 in Prime Video’s action movie category, where it received a 4.7 out of 5 star rating. The film’s official description reads, “Monster hunter Dr. Van Helsing is sent to Transylvania to vanquish Count Dracula – meeting up with a sexy yet lethal vampire killer, the pair battle a staggering array of supernatural predators!”

Reviews were rough upon its 2004 release; it sits at just 24% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics slamming the film’s use of heavy CGI. But moviegoers didn’t care. Made on a $160M budget, the film pulled in over $300M worldwide, proving Jackman’s star power outside the X-Men series.

Film critic Roger Ebert called Van Helsing “a greatest hits compilation; it’s assembled like Frankenstein’s Monster, from spare parts stitched together and brought to life with electricity, plus lots of computer-generated images. The plot depends on Dracula’s desperate need to discover the secret of Frankenstein’s Monster, because he can use it to bring his countless offspring to life.”

Other critics wrote, per Rotten Tomatoes, “The text of Stoker and Shelley is treated as nothing more than toilet paper in the outhouse of writer-director Stephen Sommers’ imagination, soiled and shredded beyond all recognition.” A second penned, “Despite (or maybe because of) the nonstop action and the special effects, I looked at my watch a lot. This is too long and the script is nothing but segues from one action, special effect-laden, sequence to another.”

Fresh off the success of The Mummy franchise, Sommers ensured Van Helsing‘s longevity with classic monster lore. The story follows Gabriel Van Helsing (Jackman), a monster hunter sent by a secret order in Rome to track down Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh) in Transylvania. Teaming up with Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale), the last of a cursed royal family, Van Helsing faces off against Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster, and werewolf henchmen.

Despite the film not becoming a critical success, Jackman has fond memories of the experience. He said in an interview, “We had a great time and it was the most fun I ever had on a set. Stephen Sommers is an old-fashioned director because he sets the tone. He ends the day at 7:30 with the same energy he had in the morning. He never goes a minute past 7:30.”

Jackman concluded, “He goes 100 percent every day. He pops his head in your makeup trailer to see you and ask if you have any questions. Trust me. That doesn’t always happen. He made it really easy. It was almost frighteningly free of tension, and there were no breakdowns.”

1. Strict Travel Window: These passes are valid October 2 through December 18, 2026. If you were hoping to use them for Christmas week, New Year’s, or push them into 2027, take note: they officially expire after December 18 and are only valid in Anaheim (not Orlando).
2. The 13-Day Clock: Once you scan your ticket on Day 1, your second visit must be completed within 13 consecutive days. You can’t use one day in October and save the other for mid-December.
3. Park Reservations Are Still Required: Buying the ticket does not automatically guarantee your spot in the park. You still have to log onto Disneyland’s reservation calendar and reserve your starting park for each date. Since Halloween and early December weekends fill up fast, check reservation availability before buying.

Seventy-five years ago, I Love Lucy made its debut on CBS with the episode “The Girls Want to Go to a Nightclub.” Airing on Oct. 15, 1951, the episode introduced fans to Lucy and Ricky Ricardo (Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz) and their best friend/landlords Ethel and Fred Mertz (Vivian Vance, William Frawley) with a storyline about the Mertzes’ 18th wedding anniversary.

While Ethel wants to celebrate with a night out at the Copacabana nightclub, Fred wants to go to a boxing match. Ethel and Lucy inform their husbands they plan to go clubbing with dates, so Ricky arranges to get dates for him and Fred as well.

When Lucy overhears her husband’s plan to go on a date, she and Ethel show up at the Ricardo door dressed as hillbillies ready for their night on the town. It’s not until Lucy grabs a cigarette from a desk drawer that  Ricky realizes it’s his wife hidden behind the braids and blacked-out teeth, and they all get a good laugh.

“The Girls Want to Go to a Nightclub” episode gave viewers an early look at the boys vs. girls theme that would follow I Love Lucy for five more seasons, but it almost didn’t serve as the series premiere. According to Everything Lucy, it was “not the initial regular series episode filmed, but was aired first because of the hilarious scene set in the Ricardos’ apartment near the end.”

A filming document preserved by the Library of Congress shows the rehearsal and shooting schedule for I Love Lucy Episode No. 1, which was originally supposed to be “Lucy Thinks Ricky is Trying to Murder Her.” That episode ultimately aired on November 5, 1951, as the fourth episode of the classic sitcom.

In an interview with the Television Academy Foundation, film editor Dann Cahn looked back on shooting what was originally supposed to be the I Love Lucy premiere episode and noted that the flat lighting system used for the show’s pioneering three-camera live studio setup was groundbreaking.

“The first episode shot was a simple little story of where Lucy is an avid murder mystery reader and she’s reading a book and through various misunderstandings and intrigue she thinks Ricky’s going to murder her,” he recalled. “The thing was titled ‘Lucy Thinks Ricky is Trying to Murder Her.’”

“They shot the show, we met the Mertzes, put everyone together. They were experimenting with Lucy’s hair and the makeup and Karl [Freund] was fooling with the lights, the lighting he finally developed in those first 13 shows is basically the same lighting they use on sitcoms today. It hasn’t changed since 1951.”

When I Love Lucy premiered on Oct. 15 with “The Girls Want to Go to a Nightclub,” the show’s writers Madelyn Pugh Davis and Bob Carroll Jr. watched it at director Marc Daniels’ house.

Everyone thought that Ball was “terribly funny and wonderful,” Davis later told The Los Angeles Times. “We had hopes for [the show] …. We hoped it would be on for 13 weeks.”

Ghirardelli’s newest chocolate launch is combining the viral Dubai chocolate trend with the iconic candy brand’s Squares.

The brand also says this new release is all about the filling. How does history remember powerful women? That was a big question for Sara Dahmen as she wrote her upcoming historical fiction novel, Threads in the Tapestry.

The story follows two women from the past, Hürrem Haseki and Graçia Nasi. Haseki rose from enslavement to become the wife of Sultan Süleyman, a man who would also turn to her with his secrets. Nasi was one of the wealthiest women in Europe, a position that offered her the opportunity to network and help people escape persecution during the time of the Inquisition.

If you haven’t heard of them, you’re not alone. That’s the beauty of historical fiction. While there are dramatized and fictionalized moments, the heart of the story is one of truth, and that’s what Dahmen has brought to life in her novels.

Take a look at the gorgeous cover for Threads in Tapestry, published by Clandestine Citadel Press on Nov. 20, 2026. The breathtaking oil paintings immediately give you a sense of the heart of this story, and the eye-catching corner pieces tell us of the elegance that is to come in the tales.

“It was so essential to me to have original oil paintings on the cover, because it reflected two things simultaneously,” Dahmen explained in a press release about the cover, designed by Brandy Mollohan. She went on to share how the artwork highlights the contemporary artistry of Titian and Bronzino, calling back to the Renaissance period, which is when Threads in Tapestry is set.

She then shared that while these oil paintings have long been attributed to Nasi and the Sultana, there is no guarantee that’s the case. Like so many parts of history, the story of these two women has been passed down. The way the stories are told brings ambiguity to tales, and even artwork can be forgotten about for a time and then attributed to the wrong people.

“And that obscurity is exactly what this novel is about: the women lost to certainty, to time, and to history,” she continued. “We will never know what really happened. Just like we will never know if these paintings are really of them, either.”

They’re not the only women in history who have portraits attributed to them that may not even be of them. Anne Boleyn is one of them, and the truth is forever lost to time.

Threads in Tapestry is praised for its immersive and meticulously researched story. While there may be questions about the portraits, there’s truth in the stories. These women were survivors of an empire and a patriarchy working against them. They helped to move the gears, and with that comes a captivating story many would love to get into the depths of.

Although John Stamos still finds himself thinking about Bob Saget, nowadays the most unexpected reminders come from his 8-year-old son, Billy. The actor who was part of Full House recently spoke about the connection he feels between his late friend and his son, explaining that Billy’s sense of humor has brought back memories of the man he lost in 2022.

At the Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine fundraising event held by the Scleroderma Research Foundation in Los Angeles on October 13, Stamos spoke on behalf of Saget and was awarded the Bob Saget Legacy Award. While speaking with People Magazine at the event, the actor gave the reason why his friend still feels so present in his life four years after his death.

“I’ll tell you that he is really going through my son,” Stamos said, stating that he frequently looks for signs of Saget around him.

That sensation has in fact made its way into a project that Stamos is currently working on with Billy. The two of them have jointly written a children’s picture book called Love From Above: A Story of Tiny Birds and Their Big Meaning, the aim of which is to show that loved ones who have died can stay close to us in unexpected ways. The book, which is inspired by the family’s connection between hummingbirds and those who have passed away, is set to be released on April 20, 2027.

For Stamos, the link with Saget isn’t always shown through grand gestures or emotional scenes; at other times it is expressed through the kind of silly humor that made their friendship unique.

“I swear to God that I always see Bob and my son,” he told People.

The actor remembered Billy coming home and making a joke about poop, which caused Stamos to notice a sense of humor he knew well. “He has what’s called toilet Tourette’s. The other day he came home and told us, ‘Mom, Dad, poop. That’s Bob.’ It’s quite special that Bob is making me laugh through my son,” Stamos said.

The award named after Saget also caused a mixture of feelings. Although Stamos was pleased to have received the recognition, he wished that his friend had been there to share the occasion.

Stamos and Saget first gained widespread recognition as a pair on ABC’s Full House, with Stamos playing Jesse Katsopolis and Saget taking on the role of Danny Tanner. The situation comedy lasted from 1987 to 1995, but the two remained friends long after the filming had ended. They appeared together again in Fuller House on Netflix, the show being broadcast from 2016 to 2020.

Saget passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 65 when he was found to be unresponsive in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida. The medical examiner concluded that he had died as a result of blunt head trauma received during an unwitnessed fall and his death was declared to be accidental.

Stamos now recalls the time they spent together and the little things he does with Billy in light of Saget’s legacy. The close personal bond that he has continues to cause him to laugh, even though he dearly misses a friend who is no longer there.

Carole Radziwill is looking back on an unexpected dinner with former Prince Andrew, but the encounter apparently wasn’t one she’ll remember for long.

During the Tuesday, October 13, episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, the journalist and reality star, 63, opened up about her past connection to Ghislaine Maxwell, who arranged the dinner between Radziwill and Andrew in 1999.

The conversation unfolded as Radziwill’s castmates questioned her about her name appearing in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender. Radziwill told the women that she was friendly with Maxwell, but never met Epstein.

Recalling the dinner, Radziwill explained that she was in London during the holiday season following the death of her husband, Anthony Radziwill, in August 1999. According to Radziwill, a mutual friend told Maxwell that she was in London alone and had recently lost her husband and Maxwell subsequently reached out to offer to arrange a dinner.

“‘This is Ghislaine Maxwell. I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. Let me have my friends take you out to dinner,'” Radziwill recalled Maxwell telling her.

Radziwill initially declined the offer, explaining that she was doing fine on her own. However, Maxwell was persistent, and Radziwill eventually agreed. About 30 minutes later, Radziwill said she received a phone call on her Nokia cellphone from Andrew, who was then known as the Duke of York.

When her RHONY castmates asked whether anything romantic happened between them, Radziwill made it clear that the evening was uneventful.

“We went to dinner, and that was it,” she said. “It was kind of unmemorable.”

Radziwill also reflected on her former relationship with Maxwell, saying the two had mutual friends but eventually drifted apart. She suggested Maxwell was particularly interested in people with wealth, influence, and recognizable names.

“She was, like, a social climber, so if you had money, access to money, power, or, say, a very famous last name, she made it her business to know you,” Radziwill recalled.

Radziwill’s late husband came from a prominent family. Anthony was the son of Polish prince Stanisław Albrecht Radziwiłł and Caroline Bouvier Radziwiłł, the younger sister of former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

The conversation comes amid renewed scrutiny of Andrew’s past association with Epstein. Andrew was stripped of his remaining royal titles in October 2025 and is now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. He has faced years of scrutiny over his ties to Epstein and settled a civil sexual assault lawsuit brought by Virginia Giuffre in 2022 without admitting liability. Andrew has denied wrongdoing in connection with the allegations.

“By the Time I Get to Phoenix” was a 1967 song by Glen Campbell. It rose all the way to number two on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart and ended up winning a Grammy for the Best Contemporary Male Solo Vocal Performance and the Best Vocal Performance.

The song was written by Jimmy Webb about an affair he had in high school. In an interview with SongFacts, Webb spoke about the creation of the song. “[Motown Records] came to me and said, ‘We need a song for Paul Petersen.’ And I wrote ‘By the Time I Get to Phoenix.’ And they didn’t like it for him. They didn’t like it for anybody. They ended up cutting it with a couple of different people and not really being happy with it. And when I left the company, they gave me the song and said, ‘You can take this one with you.’ And I said, ‘Okay, I will. I like it.’”

He continued, “They liked verses and choruses there. Verses and big choruses. And ‘By the Time I Get to Phoenix’ is three verses, very simple, very direct storyline. The guy who hired me at Motown, Mark Gordon, who managed the Fifth Dimension, he was signing them over at Soul City, which was Johnny Rivers’ company. I ended up going over there. They bought my contract out, I went over there. And I took ‘Up, Up and Away,’ ‘By the Time I Get To Phoenix,’ ‘Worst that Could Happen,’ and a handful of hit songs that were there with me. So, after all that, Johnny Rivers cut ‘By the Time I Get to Phoenix.’ Went in and did it with the Wrecking Crew and Marty Paich doing the strings. And then the story loops back to me from Glen Campbell. He was driving along the street one day, heard Johnny’s record and thought, ‘I could cut that record and make a hit out of it.’”

Campbell is also known for “Gentle on My Mind” and “Rhinestone Cowboy.” In 2005, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Campbell died in 2017 at the age of 81.

Jimmy Kimmel wasted no time roasting President Donald Trump’s new White House press secretary, Katie Zachariah, comparing her first day on the job to kindergarten before landing a punchline about her legal credentials.

During his October 13 monologue, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host introduced Zachariah as “the new kid in Trump land” and joked that her first day was “the first day of kindergarten.”

Kimmel also honed in on the frequency of staffing changes in Trump’s administration, quipping that every six months, the president gets “a new fawning blonde adult to add to the rotation.”

Zachariah’s first briefing lasted just 14 minutes, but Kimmel wasn’t impressed with her performance.

“Things did not get off to a great start for Malibu Katie today,” he said, adding that she had accomplished what she was brought in to do: “slobber a whole tube of lip gloss all over the president’s behind.”

He later mocked her delivery, saying, “Her reading is good for an 11-year-old,” before adding, “He hired a fourth grader to be press secretary.”

Kimmel also criticized Zachariah’s previous political commentary, accusing her of calling Democrats pedophiles on social media and promoting the Pizzagate conspiracy theory. He sarcastically suggested she would call for everyone named in the Jeffrey Epstein files to be punished.

But the comedian saved another punchline for questions about Zachariah’s legal credentials.

A reporter asked Trump where his new press secretary had passed the bar exam. Zachariah responded, “When I moved to China,” prompting Kimmel to joke that Trump had realized even his press secretary was “made in China.”

Kimmel followed up with another jab: “I have a feeling the only bar she passed is from Dry Bar.”

The exchange came after reporters questioned where Zachariah was licensed to practice law. According to the transcript, the White House was later asked to clarify her credentials but would not say where — or even whether — she had passed the bar.

“Say what you like about the Trump administration, they do such a good job of vetting people,” Kimmel snarked.
