Kelly Rizzo Shares the One Question She Hated Being Asked After Bob Saget’s Death

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 9:09am

There’s one specific question Kelly Rizzo says she hated being asked after the death of her late husband, Bob Saget.

During the Monday, May 18 episode of Girls Gotta Eat, Rizzo, 46, reflected on the overwhelming number of messages she received after Saget died unexpectedly in January 2022 at age 65. The couple had been together for six years and married for four after first connecting through Instagram in 2015.

While discussing the grief journal she kept in the weeks after his death, Rizzo admitted there was one phrase that became unexpectedly triggering for her: “How are you?”

“‘How are you’ over text? Let me say that over the phone, fine,” she explained. “But over text because I felt like now I have to write an essay.”

Rizzo said even simple responses became emotionally exhausting while navigating early grief. “I was trying to give thoughtful responses to each person because I'm a people pleaser and I felt like it was homework to get that question in a text,” she said. “I was like, I'm too tired.”

Instead, she found more comfort in people asking specific questions or simply reminding her they were there without expecting a response. “To me, that was so much more helpful,” she shared, using messages like, “‘What did you do today?’” or “‘Was today better? Was today worse?’” as examples.

The Full House star was found dead in his Orlando hotel room on January 9, 2022, after performing a stand-up show the night before. Authorities later determined he died from head trauma, presumably from an accidental fall.

In the episode, Rizzo also looked back on the message that started their relationship nearly a decade ago. According to her, Saget reached out after spotting her on Instagram, and at the time, she was skeptical. Rizzo said she had never seriously dated someone in entertainment before, and the pair also had a 23-year age gap.

Still, she eventually opened the message. “Hey, Kelly, I would love to invite you to a show and take you out for some burgers and lobsters,” Saget wrote, adding, “if that's not too forward.”

But the sign-off ended up being her favorite part. “He signed his Instagram message, Bob Saget, like all of our dads do,” she joked. “‘Best, Bob Saget.’”

Paris Hilton Ditches Iconic Blonde Tresses for New Brunette Look

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 9:03am

That’s hot! Paris Hilton is known for many things, including her long blonde locks. But the OG influencer and heiress to the Hilton fortune recently strutted down the catwalk in Times Square with a brand-new, bold brunette look, slaying with a dramatic, almost '80s vibe. And fans certainly noticed her new ‘do.

Hilton is pretty much always “sliving” her best life. The mom of two is a reality TV star, fixture on the social scene, and an entrepreneur. Last weekend, Hilton took to the NYC runway, modeling for the GucciCore: Gucci Cruise 2027 collection.

Sashaying her way through a fashion show alongside other glamazons isn’t exactly breaking news for Paris Hilton. After all, she’s modeled for Versace’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Mugler’s Spring/Summer 2024 show, and countless other couture design houses. But her recent appearance shocked fans, rocking their expectations for the blonde bombshell.

Instead of Hilton’s beloved fair-haired look, the fashionista rocked a brunette style.

View this post on Instagram

Hilton posted pics of the runway walk on Instagram, adding the caption, “Gucci Girl forever. It was such a dream to walk the runway for @Demna’s debut @Gucci cruise collection. Demna, you are a true visionary and it was so iconic to take over Times Square with you.” Of course, Hilton is referring to fashion designer and creative director of Gucci, Demna

The much-anticipated show in New York’s Times Square brought out the glitterati, with celebs such as Mariah Carey,Shawn Mendes,Lindsay Lohan, Alix Earle, and Kim Kardashian in attendance.

Paris sparkled on the runway, wearing a long yellow dress paired with black boots and a black fur casually slung over her shoulder. And no one expected Hilton’s daring change of pace from her usual flowing blondness. Fans and friends flocked to Instagram, gushing over the dark hairdo and praising Paris with comments such as “Goddess,” “ You look so beautiful with dark hair!” Omg! Sliving!” and, “This dark hair is a LOOK!”

This isn’t the first time Hilton has stepped out in a brunette wig. In 2024, cameras caught the superstar wearing a long brunette bob and a bucket hat while shopping with husband Carter Reum

Why did Hilton swap blonde for brunette for her walk down the runway? At this time, no one really knows. The artistic choice certainly made a statement at the Gucci show. And the model also kept the look going, wearing the brunette style to the Gucci Mansion the same day. But as for if she’s gone to the dark side for good…well, fans will have to wait and see.

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 9:00am

Do you feel young at heart, no matter how old you are? Whether you watched your grandparents celebrate birthdays for nearly a century or you saw loved ones battle illness and other hardships with age, there are a bevy of reasons you might embrace every passing year with gratitude and optimism or worry about your vitality and what the future holds. And of course, it’s absolutely normal if you find yourself vacillating between both! But some people are simply wired to be buoyant and youthful, no matter how many years go by.

I was recently inspired to share a meme that attributed this to being in love with your everyday life. That’s certainly a factor, but you may also want to look to your birth date for insight into this phenomenon. Informed by both numerological and astrological wisdom, your birth date provides helpful intel on your personality, perspective, and energy, so it’s definitely one way to tell if you’re someone who will always be vibrant, regardless of the age you’re turning this year.

The Dancing with the Stars icon, who turned 41 on Sunday, took to Instagram with beautiful photos of his daughter, Everley, who was born in December.

"The greatest gift, this year and every year is my daughter, Everley," he wrote. "My heart has expanded in ways I never knew, and I’m so full of love."

The carousel of photos also featured a sweet photo of his wife, Hayley Erbert.

"I feel incredibly fortunate for all life’s blessings, doing what I love, with the one I love @hayley.erbert and sharing it with my little growing family," he added. "Being a father is the greatest gift of all."

Erbert, who according to Hough's Instagram Stories also decorated their house to celebrate, also took to her own Instagram with photos of the couple throughout the years.

"My husband. My love. My soulmate. My forever dance partner. My best friend. My baby daddy," she wrote. "Happy Birthday! Life is so much better because you’re in it. I love you forever and always @derekhough."

While Hough and Erbert have been navigating life as new parents, they're also ready to head out for his, “Symphony of Dance Encore,” together. This time around though, they'll be traveling as a family of three.

“To now be able to go on tour this summer, to bring her on the road with us, even though she doesn’t know what’s going on yet...I cannot wait to share that," Hough said in an ABC interview in April.

Since welcoming Everly at the end of last year, the DWTS couple has regularly shared adorable photos of the nearly 6-month-old, which include snaps of snuggles or heartfelt moments where Everley's laugh was captured on camera.

"My favorite sound in the whole world," Erbert wrote of the moment.

This month also marked Erbert's first Mother's Day as a new mom, which she also commemorated on Instagram.

"The greatest honor of my life is being your mom," she wrote. "Everley, I love you with everything that I am. Happy Mother’s Day to every woman with a piece of her heart living outside her body."

'The Boys' Finale Is Almost Here. Here's 7 Burning Questions That Still Need Answers

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:58am

After seven episodes, The Boys has pushed its final season to the brink, with power, loyalty and survival all hanging in the balance. Homelander (Antony Starr) now stands stronger than ever after taking V1, tightening his grip on a world already bending to his will, while Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and what’s left of his team scramble for a way to stop him. Along the way, the season has delivered shocking deaths, shifting alliances, and devastating betrayals, culminating in the loss of a core member that has fractured the group at its worst possible moment.

Now, with the series finale ahead, every storyline is on a collision course. From the uncertain fate of Butcher's crew to the question of whether anyone can actually take Homelander down, the stakes have never been higher. One last showdown awaits, and if the season has proven anything, it’s that no one is safe, nothing will go as planned, and the end will come at a cost.

Here are seven burning questions we hope The Boys series finale answers when it streams on Prime Video on May 20.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news& celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

If (when) Homelander dies, who can possibly take him down?

In The Boys comics, Homelander is ultimately killed by Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), a Homelander clone — a contingency plan designed to eliminate him if he ever became uncontrollable. But the series has already diverged significantly from that storyline, and with both versions of Black Noir dead, a comic-accurate ending feels unlikely.

That leaves a handful of intriguing possibilities. A final showdown between Butcher and Homelander, teased as far back as the Season 5 premiere, remains the most obvious path. But the finale may not be that simple. With Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) aiding in the experiment to amplify Kimiko’s (Karen Fukuhara) abilities, she could emerge as a legitimate threat. If that experiment works, could she strip Homelander of his powers? There’s also Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), whose late-season arrival hints at a larger role to play. Or, fittingly for a series that thrives on chaos, it may take a full-scale team effort to finally bring Homelander down.

Who from The Boys will make it out alive?

Season 5 hasn’t been shy about thinning the ranks, but there are still plenty of major players left on the board — especially within Butcher’s crew. With the series finale looming, it’s hard to imagine everyone making it out intact. If anything, the show has been building toward one last, brutal reckoning. The real question is - who survives it?

Butcher feels like the most likely casualty, but how far will the finale go? Can Kimiko move forward without Frenchie (Tomer Capone)? Will MM (Laz Alonso) make the ultimate sacrifice? Does Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) lack of powers finally catch up to him? And is Annie (Erin Moriarty) strong enough to stand toe-to-toe with Homelander? Or maybe this really was all part of Sister Sage's master plan and she gets exactly what she wants, a life of solitude in a bunker just outside Colorado Springs.

Related: ‘The Boys’ Season 5 Cast Guide: Who’s Who and What You Must Remember Before the Final Battle

Do Hughie and Annie actually get a happy ending?

If they survive — and that’s no guarantee — do Hughie and Annie finally get something resembling a normal life? It would be a rare bit of light for a show that rarely offers it, but there are signs the series could be heading in that direction. This season opened with A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) completing his redemption arc, choosing to save a woman rather than run through her — a direct callback to the pilot, when he killed Hughie’s girlfriend without a second thought.

Bringing that full circle by allowing Hughie to find peace with Annie would feel thematically right. But The Boys has never been a story that hands out easy endings. Even if they make it out alive, the question remains whether the world they’re left with, and everything they’ve been through, will allow for anything close to “happily ever after.”

What role will Soldier Boy play in the endgame?

After being put back on ice by his own son, it’s hard to believe Soldier Boy’s (Jensen Ackles) story ends as a literal popsicle. The show has invested too much in him, and his volatile dynamic with Homelander, for him to stay sidelined in the finale. With the stakes at their highest, he still feels like a wild card waiting to be played.

The question is who pulls that card. Could Back Ashley (Colby Minifie) resurface and release him? Does Sister Sage have one more move up her sleeve? Or does Soldier Boy break free on his own somehow? However it happens, it would be surprising if one of the show’s most quotable characters doesn’t factor into the final showdown in a meaningful way.

Where does Ryan fit in?

Ryan Butcher (Cameron Crovetti) may be the hardest piece left on the board to predict. After taking a beating from his biological father, Homelander, and growing increasingly wary of Butcher, it wouldn’t be surprising if Ryan tries to stay out of the final fight altogether. He’s been pulled in two directions the entire series, and stepping back might feel like the only choice he has left.

But this is The Boys, and Ryan’s story likely won’t end quietly. If Butcher’s arc is heading toward a tragic finish, it’s hard to imagine Ryan not being part of that moment. Whether he ultimately tips the scales, chooses a side or simply serves as the emotional center of the finale, Ryan feels too pivotal to sit on the sidelines when everything comes to a head.

Related: Jack Quaid Reportedly Marries ‘The Boys’ Co-Star Claudia Doumit

Will there still be supes when it’s all over?

If there’s one thing The Boys has consistently shown, it’s that unchecked power eventually corrupts. With the supe-killing virus still in play, it remains one of the few weapons capable of leveling the field against characters who haven’t taken V1. That raises a key question heading into the finale: will it be deployed to quietly remove secondary threats like The Deep (Chace Crawford), Oh Father (Daveed Diggs) or even Vought’s network of psychics?

The bigger question is whether it can be weaponized against someone like Homelander. Could it be modified, perhaps by someone like Sister Sage, to target even the most powerful supe alive? Given how central the virus has been across both The Boys and Gen V, it’s hard to imagine it doesn’t play a critical role before the story ends.

What surprises does Eric Kripke still have planned?

Season 5 has already been packed with curveballs. From A-Train’s dramatic death to Kimiko finally finding her voice, from Back Ashley’s emergence, to the celebrity cameo bloodbath — not to mention Samuel L. Jackson voicing a foul-mouthed hammerhead shark — showrunner Eric Kripke has made it clear he’s going all out. Which raises the obvious question: what’s he still holding back for the finale?

Stormfront (Aya Cash) has been name-checked repeatedly despite her offscreen death, Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) is alive but in hiding, and the Gen V pipeline has only just begun to factor in with Jordan Li (London Thor) and Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair). Whether that adds up to a full-scale crossover moment or just a few last surprises, it’s hard to imagine a show this chaotic going out quietly. If anything, expect one final swing that’s as big and as unpredictable as anything that’s come before.

The Heartbreaking Exit of Ian Curtis: How a Poetic Genius Transformed Rock History Before His Sudden Death

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:36am

On May 18, 1980, 23-year-old Ian Curtis tragically took his own life. The singer of the English post-punk band Joy Division was found dead by his estranged wife, Deborah, with Iggy Pop's album The Idiot still playing on the record player. The band had recently finished their second album, Closer, and was due to leave for the U.S. the following day, for their first-ever American tour.

Those close to him admitted feeling confused and baffled when they found out that he'd killed himself. Bandmate Bernard Sumner told Tonino Cagnucci in 2015 that he and Curtis had planned to go water skiing on May 18, but he didn't show up. He was devastated when he got the call that Curtis was dead.

"I didn’t understand it," Sumner told MOJO in 2024. "We had no idea he was going to do it – if we had we wouldn’t have let him out of our sight."

Poet, Genius, Myth: Ian Curtis' Final Lyrics Cemented His Legacy as a Rock Icon

Two months after Curtis's death, Closer was released. The album reached No. 6 on the U.K. charts and was hailed by many as a masterpiece. Their haunting song, "Love Will Tear Us Apart," was hailed as one of the greatest songs of all time.

With Curtis gone, the remaining band members, Sumner, Peter Hook, and Stephen Morris, reformed as New Order and released hit songs like "Blue Monday" and "Bizarre Love Triangle." Over the years, Curtis became a mythical figure. As more people really listened to his lyrics, he was hailed as a poetic, musical genius.

Why Music Legends Still Mourn and Celebrate Joy Division's Frontman

No one forgot about Joy Division, and over the years, more musicians cited them as a major influence. The band, along with New Order, will be celebrated at the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where they'll be inducted alongside Phil Collins, Oasis, and others.

“So, I’ve argued for a good 20 years that probably outside of The Beatles, Joy Division is the most influential rock band of the 20th century,” Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan said during a Track Star episode.

The Killers' singer, Brandon Flowers, recalled during a celebration of Ian Curtis that he was introduced to Joy Division after listening to New Order. The band's cover of Joy Division's "Shadowplay" remains one of their most popular songs.

"This unparalleled, stark, beautiful, primitive, soulful music," Flowers said. "It had a profound impact on me, just like it did many others.”

John Stamos Pays Emotional Tribute to Bob Saget on What Would Have Been Late 'Full House' Star's 70th Birthday

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:36am

Celebrating what would have been his late friend and former Full House co-star's 70th birthday, John Stamos paid tribute to Bob Saget in an emotional Instagram post.

In said post, the 62-year-old Stamos shared what he said was the "last pic" he ever took with Saget before the late comedian's death in January, 2022. In the photo, Stamos and Saget were seen posing in front of an oceansunset with their wives, Caitlin McHugh and Kelly Rizzo.

“Last pic,” Stamos wrote over the photo. Additionally, Stamos shared some videos of the co-stars singing together, as well as pics of them performing on-stage, with one photo showing Stamos hugging Saget as the latter sat behind a drum set.

“We used to throw each other great birthday parties," Stamos wrote in the post's caption. "Your 70th today would've been epic! I miss you and love you."

Famously, Stamos and Saget starred together on the hit ABCsitcomFull House from 1987 to 1995, portraying the lead roles of Jesse Katsopolis and Danny Tanner, respectively. Both actors later reprised their roles in a recurring capacity for the Netflix reboot, Fuller House, which aired on the streamer from 2016 to 2020.

After Saget's shocking death at the age of 65 from blunt head force trauma following an accidental fall, Stamos has remained vocal about the lifelong connection he felt to his older TV co-star.

“As time moves on, that sharp pain I felt at the beginning... it's become a part of me. It doesn't feel as overwhelming as it did in the first year. Maybe I've just gotten used to it, and I'm not sure how I feel about that,” Stamos previously wrote in an Instagram tribute to Saget.

“I miss him. A lot. Every day," the 62-year-old continued. "But I'm also grateful for the time we had, for the laughs, for the friendship. He was one of a kind, and I was lucky to call him my friend."

On This Day 28 Years Ago, a Fan-Favorite Workplace Sitcom Reached Its Emotional Finale

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:31am

The final episode of CBS's Murphy Brown didn’t just close a series—it defined a moment in TV history.

On May 18, 1998, the series ended a decade of episodes with a finale titled "Never Can Say Goodbye." It was written as a farewell to journalist Murphy Brown (Candace Bergen) and her coworkers at the fictional investigative newsmagazine program FYI.

The finale was a two-part episode. The episode featured Murphy facing a second breast cancer scare and contemplating retirement to focus on her health.

While under anesthesia for a procedure that determined if she was free of the disease, Murphy dreamed she interviewed God, played by Alan King. He told her not to retire and that she should continue to work with her beloved team at FYI, including Corky Sherwood (Faith Ford), Frank Fontana (Joe Regalbuto), Miles Silverberg (Grant Shaud), Jim Dial (Charles Kimbrough), Phil (Pat Corley), and Eldin (Robert Pastorelli).

A who's who of celebrities helped close out the series final two installments. These stars included Julia Roberts, Bette Midler, George Clooney, King, and Mike Wallace.

Bergen said she felt fated to play the strong-willed reporter. She shared a statement with CNN as Murphy Brown ended. "I remember the pilot like it was yesterday. From the day I read that script, there was some kind of destiny to it."

Murphy Brown creator Diane English discussed writing the series finale with Entertainment Weekly. She called the process "agonizing."

"It nearly killed me. The writing of a series finale is horrible," she began.

RELATED: Valerie Bertinelli Helped Make a Beloved Bestseller a Must-Watch ’80s Miniseries

English continued, "The expectation level is so high, especially with a series like ours, which had won so many Emmys and become kind of iconic. The expectation level on yourself, and then the emotion of knowing this is it, you’re not gonna write this again anymore — it was agonizing."

English said she rewrote the series' final scene "at least five times." She added, "I sent it down really just out hours before the audience came in, and they rehearsed it once, and it was tough, and everybody was crying. And then the audience came in, and it was still extremely fresh for them."

Bergen ultimately reprised the role in a 2018 revival that lasted just one season. The actress told PEOPLE Magazine that playing the character was a "gift." She added, "I just always made the effort to insist that she not be too tough and to be kind at the end of the night."

Sara Lee Has 3 New Cheesecakes Headed To Stores—and Fans Say They ‘Look Delicious’

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:29am

The pastry chefs at Sara Lee are giving fans a new way to enjoy its popular cheesecakes.

The iconic brand has been whipping up baked goods and desserts for decades and last year, it started experimenting with more single-serve options. This past fall, it officially introduced its Half Loaf of sandwich bread, and shortly thereafter, fans got wind of its Sweet Moments line, which is intended to be the sweet treat everyone looks forward to after a long day. Now, it appears to be expanding that collection with the arrival of mini cheesecakes.

This past weekend, several eagle-eyed shoppers reported that Sara Lee launched a new assortment of cheesecakes that shrink its party-size options down to be the perfect snack for one (or two, if you're feeling generous).

Sara Lee Sweet Moments Line Expands With 3 Single-Serve Cheesecake Flavors

Although Sara Lee hasn't officially announced its Sweet Moments Cheesecakes as of writing, the variety is already live on its website, so it's definitely happening (and soon, as brands typically don't make their innovations public until they're ready to launch).

Related: Marie Callender’s Is Reportedly Launching 2 New Pies—Both Would Be Firsts for the Brand

The line will debut in three classic cheesecake flavors: Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Blueberry and Fudgey Brownie. According to a product listing, all consumers have to do before enjoying it is thaw it out one of two ways: either in the refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight with the lid on, or at room temperature for 30-60 minutes. The company recommends that if it's not eaten within an hour of thawing, put the lid back on it and store it in the refrigerator.

  • Sara Lee Sweet Moments Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake: Strawberry cheesecake with what looks to be a strawberry-flavored crust.
  • Sara Lee Sweet Moments Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake: Lemon cheesecake with a blueberry drizzle and crunchy graham crust.
  • Sara Lee Sweet Moments Fudgey Brownie Cheesecake: Chocolate cheesecake dressed with fudge sauce and a chocolate crust.

Sounds pretty good, right? Yeah, fans think so, too.

"That Sarah-LEE Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake is going to Be Mines once it’s released," one Instagram user wrote before concluding with an excited string of cake and strawberry-shaped emojis.

"I'm about to inhale these new Sara Lee Sweet Moments desserts," influencer Snackolator joked.

"That Look So Delicious," a third declared.

"Strawberry short cakeeeee," another gushed.

"Doing this while im trying to work on my summer bod is diabolical," a different social media user teased.

Someone else suggested they'd be toting these around with them, "New dessert for me to bring to the movies lol !!"

Others, apparently speechless, just tagged their loved ones in the post to give them a heads-up that something sweet will soon be headed to the freezer aisle.

Where Are the New Sara Lee Sweet Moments Cheesecakes Available?

As for where you can buy it, Sara Lee's Sweet Moments line doesn't appear to be exclusive to any one retailer, so it should be stocked wherever other Sara Lee products are sold (think your local grocer or a major chain like Target and Walmart). So far, it's been spotted at Hy-Vee (prices may vary).

To find it near you, refer to the Sara Lee product locator.

"Sphere Abu Dhabi is the first step in realising our vision for a global network of venues. Abu Dhabi is a premier international capital city, and its ambition, infrastructure, and position as a cultural crossroads make it a natural home for Sphere," James L. "Sphere Abu Dhabi will establish Yas Island as a destination in the region for immersive experiences, and we look forward to working with DCT Abu Dhabi to see this venue come to life."

"Abu Dhabi is open, ambitious and unwavering in its direction. And the destination is only getting bigger. The new Sphere is slated to open its doors by the end of 2029, positioning it perfectly to debut alongside the highly anticipated, upcoming Disney theme park resort also headed to the island.

‘The Good Doctor' Pair Reunite for New 'Emotionally Complex' Drama Series

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:21am

The Good Doctor may have ended two years ago, but Freddie Highmore and David Shore aren’t done working with each other just yet.

Highmore, who played a surgical resident in The Good Doctor, and Shore, who produced the show, are reuniting for I’m Not Here to Hurt You. The drama series will be co-commissioned for Crave and Sony Pictures Television, with Blink49 studios producing.

According to Deadline, Shore and Highmore are the co-creators of the show, with Highmore also starring in it. The series will follow a family man who, after killing someone in a bicycle accident, spirals into a life of crime. I’m Not Here to Hurt You was inspired by the true story of “Ireland’s most polite bank robber,” the publication reported.

“We weren’t quite done with each other after all,” Shore and Highmore said. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating again, excited to return to Canada alongside our partners at Bell and Blink49 Studios, and grateful for Sony’s continued support. And now we have to get to work.”

Crave, which produced the hit romance series Heated Rivalry, is owned by Bell Media. Justin Stockman, Bell’s vice president of global content, said that I’m Not Here to Hurt You “marks an exciting moment for Crave.”

“Freddie’s ability to embody complex characters is second to none, and we’re delighted to collaborate with celebrated Canadian creative, David Shore, on our first-ever project with Sony Pictures Television,” Stockman said.

John Morayniss of Blink49 Studios said that Shore and Highmore have created a compelling and emotionally complex series “with enormous international potential.”

“We’re excited to collaborate with Bell Media and Sony Pictures Television on I’m Not Here to Hurt You to bring this exceptional story to audiences around the world,” Morayniss said.

While a release date hasn’t been announced yet, the show was added to Sony Pictures Television’s LA Screenings presentation, where some were able to catch a preview of the series.

Anderson Cooper Officially Ends '60 Minutes' Tenure After 20 Years

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:10am

After two decades and literally hundreds of hours on CBS's airwaves, Anderson Cooper has officially signed off from his long-running stint at the network's famed 60 Minutes program.

According to CBS News, the 58-year-old Cooper concluded his time on the show with an emotional farewell, reflecting on the numerous memories he made during his time on the program.

"The thing is, it's never felt like work. It's felt like you're stepping into people's lives, and you're invited into people homes," Cooper reflected. "You're invited into their struggles, you're invited into whatever it is that has brought them to be on 60 Minutes."

As a sign of Cooper's lifelong dream of appearing on the show, the broadcaster visibly held back tears as he delivered his very last "I'm Anderson Cooper," marking his official exit from the series.

In the "overtime" segment at the end of the episode, Cooper recalled some of the more "dangerous" and "dumb" things he's ever done for 60 Minutes, including diving with Nile crocodiles for a notably nail-biting segment on the show.

To further tie into his accomplished tenure, a montage of some of Cooper's biggest celebrity interviews was played, showcasing some of the TV personality's conversations with stars like Prince Harry or Lady Gaga.

Emphasizing the unique importance his role on 60 Minutes was, Cooper explained to viewers that he grew up watching the series from early childhood onward, making it all the more awe-inspiring to think he eventually landed such a prominent role on the series.

"I was a weird little kid. I liked watching news. After my dad died, there was a lot of silence in my house, and we'd watch the news over dinner," Cooper said.

In spite of his personal sense of accomplishment, Cooper rationalized that it was time to step away from the series in order to spend more time with his two young sons.

"I've got a 4-year-old and a just now 6-year-old, and I want to spend as much time with them as I can while they still want to spend time with me," the 58-year-old said. "And those days, that clock is ticking, I think."

Sprite Is Bringing Back Its Viral Summer Flavor—for Good

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:01am

Sprite is officially bringing back a flavor that divided fans when it first launched last summer and this time, it's coming back for good–well, sort of.

To take you back to where it all began: sometime in 2023, when fans started a trend of steeping black tea bags in a bottle of Sprite. The unexpected combination turned out to be surprisingly good, so much so that the Coca-Cola soft drink brand decided to take the work out of it and release its own version of the mashup in 2025: Sprite + Tea.

Now, a year later, the flavor is confirmed to be returning as "a new seasonal ritual for the brand," meaning that when it eventually disappears, it won't be gone for good—just until next season.

Sprite + Tea Returns for Summer 2026—And Every One Thereafter

If you didn't get a chance to try the seasonal flavor last year, it combines the bubbly, citrusy flavor of Sprite with the classic, refreshing and somewhat earthy flavors of black tea.

Fans were initially a little confused by the trend and Sprite's decision to adapt it, but it still became one of the "most talked-about" releases, according to the brand. Considering so many tea drinkers add lemon to their cups before enjoying it, it shouldn't be all that shocking that people enjoyed it enough for the brand to bring it back regularly starting this year.

Sprite + Tea returns ahead of summer 2026 in regular and zero-sugar varieties.

Sprite

Sprite + Tea will be available in both regular and zero-sugar options at retailers nationwide in 20-ounce bottles and 12-ounce cans, just in time for summer—but it's only hanging around for the season (prices may vary).

2002 Classic Film, Rejected by Iconic Rock Band, Ranked Among Best Classic Rock Movies of All Time

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 8:00am

In 2002, a biographical comedy-drama film failed to become a major commercial success but has since been regarded as one of the best classic rock movies of all time.

In a ranking published by Collider, the publication named 10 films set in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s that heavily feature music from that era, placing 24 Hour Party People among the greatest classic rock-inspired films ever released.

Landing at No. 4, the Michael Winterbottom-directed movie joined notable films including Almost Famous in the top spot, followed by This Is Spinal Tap, with Pink Floyd – The Wall securing third place and the 1998 film Velvet Goldmine completing the top five.

Unlike traditional music biopics, which center on a famous musician, 24 Hour Party People follows the rise of the legendary indie record label Factory Records and the man behind it, Tony Wilson, played by Steve Coogan.

Together with his co-founder Alan Erasmus, the duo sparked a pivotal change in music history, especially with the birth of the "Manchester" rave culture.

By highlighting local bands, they helped launch the careers of influential musicians who would soon become notable acts like Joy Division, Happy Mondays and New Order.

Apart from the intriguing storyline, 24 Hour Party People includes an interesting cast lineup featuring Lennie James as Alan Erasmus, along with Sean Harris as Ian Curtis of Joy Division, and John Simm and Ralf Little as Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook from Joy Division and New Order.

Was 24 Hour Party People Based on a True Story?

Although the comedy-drama movie perfectly blends real events, speculations and long-standing rumours within the industry, it captured the chaotic rise of Manchester’s music scene and the stories of some of the iconic bands signed to the label.

However, one band that had no connection to Factory Records was briefly mentioned in the movie: The Smiths, the band behind the smash hits "This Charming Man," "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" and "How Soon Is Now?"

Johnny Marr and Morrissey of the group The Smiths posed with their arms around a tree trunk in London in 1983.

Clare Muller/Redferns

Despite the notable reference in the cult classic film, Johnny Marr, guitarist of The Smiths, clarified in his autobiography, Set the Boy Free, the claims made by Tony Wilson about how they turned down the group.

Instead, Marr shared that they didn't want to be associated with Factory and its acts.

“I liked Tony, but I’d already refused invitations to join a couple of his bands and I wouldn’t have my own band dressed up in khaki shorts for anyone,” he wrote, adding “I was sure that if we were to be on an indie label it should be Rough Trade, and definitely not Factory.”

The feud led The Smiths to officially sign with the UK independent label Rough Trade in 1983.

Here's How Much You'll Need to Retire in West Virginia, the Most Affordable State for Retirees in the Country

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 7:29am

If you’re waiting for country roads to take you home to an affordable retirement, West Virginia might just be the place for you. You may not have considered West Virginia as the perfect retirement spot before, but there’s an argument for why you should.

Retirement By The Numbers

According to Fox Business, West Virginia is the most affordable place in the U.S. for retirees. To live comfortably in the highest cost-of-living states, Hawaii and California, you’ll need over $150,000 or $120,000 a year in income, respectively, with Social Security. West Virginia’s total? $33,223 with Social Security. That’s a stark difference!

With around 21% of the population being over 65, you’ll be in the company of your peers. A few other notable statistics highlight affordable, safe living. West Virginia has some of the lowest property taxes in the country and lower-than-average crime rates.

Culture of the State

Appalachia is one of the most community-oriented regions of the country. Whether you’re all the way north in New York or in the southernmost region of northern Mississippi, you’ll find tight-knit communities.

West Virginia exudes this sense with its small towns, strong sense of community, and rich cultural heritage. The Mountain State’s natural beauty and deep history contribute to a state of proud people who love their land.

What To Do

Living in West Virginia gives you a mix of cultures. It’s far enough north to see seasons but far enough south to be temperate without overly cold winters. Active seniors will find year-round opportunities for hiking, cycling, camping, and other outdoor activities

If you’re more of an indoor person, the region is rich in textile crafts that carry deep roots in the state’s culture and history. For those who love the supernatural or the macabre, The Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, explores the legend of the mysterious creature.

Other Things To Consider

West Virginia is very rural, and having that space and land can mean you may be quite a distance from healthcare facilities. There are limited job opportunities in the state. Seniors looking to supplement their income may have trouble finding gainful employment.

Retiring in West Virginia is a fantastic choice for seniors who want a low cost of living with lots of community and natural beauty. It’s important to weigh the pros and cons, but if mountain peaks and robust nature call to you, then you may have found your new home.

‘Shark Tank’s’ Barbara Corcoran Shares Advice for Upcoming Grads, and People Think It’s Pretty Brilliant

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 7:26am

Barbara Corcoran, a real estate mogul, business expert, and one of the Sharks on ABC’s Shark Tank, had some encouraging advice for students who just graduated or are getting ready to do so soon. Using her own life experience, she notes that they’ll likely see a lot of variety before finding out exactly what they want.

View this post on Instagram Heartfelt Advice

“If you’re just graduating and you have no idea what you want to do, congratulations. It’s exactly where you should be,” starts Corcoran in her viral social media post.

In the video, Corcoran goes on to state that she had 22 jobs before finding real estate. In the comments, she notes that some of those jobs included selling hot dogs, working at a department store, and being a nurse’s assistant. By sharing this information, she’s encouraging kids just entering higher education or the job market to try many different things.

"Here’s a truth no one tells you after college: Your first job probably isn’t your forever job,” writes Corcoran in the caption of her post. She goes on to say that having so many jobs helped her figure out her strengths and weaknesses.

“This is awesome advice!!! Our culture has it so backwards,” notes one commenter with the handle emilykooi.

User dee_agingu says, “Best practical advice I’ve had seen for new graduates in this ‘new world’ where there’s no guarantee that a university degree will land one a job. Thank you for sharing. 🫶🏾”

And another user, maison53nj, says, “Thank you, Barbara, for this advice! I just forwarded this to the twins, who are a few months from heading off to college, and think they need to have it all figured out before they even get there!!! Xx”

Today’s Job Market

Unfortunately, this year’s graduates are entering a difficult job market. For high schoolers headed to higher education, they have a little time to hopefully adjust to the changing landscape of work in the U.S. College graduates may find things a little daunting as they apply for postgraduate work.

Fortunately, Corcoran’s advice is a great way to navigate the uncertainty. By staying open to trying new things, grads can explore open positions and see what does and doesn’t fit. Corcoran ends the video by saying, “You have plenty of time,” which is an excellent point to remember.

Dave Ramsey Floored When Caller Asks if He Should Divorce His Wife for This Financial Reason

Mon, 05/18/2026 - 7:22am

Dave Ramsey and his daughter, financial advisor Rachel Cruze, were shocked recently when a caller to The Ramsey Show had a potential solution to a financial issue plaguing a family. The Massachusetts dad considered divorcing his wife for $100,000+ savings.

📨 Get more stories to share with Parade's daily email newsletter 📨

An Interesting Proposal

Dave from Massachusetts wrote into The Ramsey Show asking for advice. According to him, he and his wife have one child in college in Massachusetts, where they pay in-state tuition. Their younger child is looking at schools out of state.

The parents own a second home in the state where their child is planning to attend school, but neither is a resident. Dave from Massachusetts asked Ramsey and Cruze if it would be a good financial decision to get a divorce, have his wife set up residency in their second home, and save over a $100k a year on out-of-state tuition.

While the Massachusetts father states that he doesn’t need a piece of paper to validate his relationship, Cruze and Ramsey were both horrified.

Dave Ramsey’s Response

Ramsey immediately shut the idea down with a firm, “No.” He mentioned hearing about people getting divorced for financial reasons. People will often refuse to get married to keep their alimony from a previous marriage or get divorced to increase disability benefits. He doesn’t recommend trying to game the system.

“Let’s just start with telling your spoiled brat child no,” Ramsey says. Cruze is quick to point out that the kid likely didn’t ask the parents to divorce. In fact, the dad never even mentions if the kid is aware of the choice the parents are considering.

Both Cruze and Ramsey continued to appear shocked by the question, laughing and shaking their heads. After having some time to mull over the idea, neither host thought it was a good one. Ramsey continued with, “dude, you’re weird,” while still continuing to appear dumbfounded.

The Cost of Higher Education

According to U.S. News & World Report, state school in-state tuition for fall 2026 hovers around $11,371 per year and $25,415 for out-of-state students. Tuition is closer to $44,961 per year at private schools. According to the numbers, it looks like the Massachusetts family needs to consider all their options for education affordability.
