Golden Retriever ‘Rescues’ Goldfish Like a Selfless King

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 6:00pm

If your dogs are anything like mine, they love to rescue things that were absolutely not in need of rescue. Mine are big into rescuing my socks, my slippers, the things that fall under my bed... It never ends.

One Golden Retriever has mastered this art just as well as my dogs have. Recently, he was on a walk when he found a bag of Goldfish crackers on the sidewalk. You best believe he rescued it as soon as he saw it:

@maxthegolden______

Golden retrievers don’t steal… they rescue 🐟 😂 #cutedog #dogsoftiktok #viral #humor #goldenretriever

♬ original sound - maxthegolden______

Max the Golden Retriever is perfect in every sense of the word. He falls into my favorite category of dog: "if they're grey, they get their way." My oldest boy is 10, and I say that at least twice a day.

Max is only 7, but he's already got the perfect powdered sugar face. It makes him look like a very distinguished gentleman, and it'll only get better as he ages! For now, though, he's young and rescues:

  • Mom, several times a day.
  • Random bags of Goldfish he finds on the sidewalk.
  • Socks, hats, and gloves.
  • Sticks.

I don't have any idea where the world would be without him. No one rescues like he can!

Related: 'Scaredy-Cat' Golden Retriever ‘Bows Down’ to 'Tiny' Cat

Max goes for walks every single day, even in the wintertime. He likes to make sure he's moving around, and his mom has really helped with that. In that clip, you can see him wearing little booties!

That's not all, though. He sometimes gets to wear a special jacket outside, and it helps. He likes rolling around in the snow! The jacket offers very stylish protection:

@maxthegolden______

❄️🥶🤣 #fyp #viral #funny #dog #humor

♬ original sound - maxthegolden______

He's amazing. I bet his walks take forever.

Can Dogs Eat Goldfish?

Max is not letting that bag of Goldfish go without a fight, that's for sure. Lucky for him, he probably got to have at least a couple! Goldfish, which are baked cheese crackers, are considered safe for dogs.

A few Goldfish won't hurt, but you shouldn't offer them too many. Goldfish are salty and have some additives that can cause stomach upset. You should avoid:

  • Dipping the crackers in anything before giving them to them.
  • Giving them "flavor-blasted" versions.
  • Using Goldfish as a replacement for regular dog treats.

Max probably only got to have a few, and that's all he needs. Good job rescuing them, Max! I'm sure they needed it!

Dogs Dressed for Valentine's Day Birthday Party Have Us Falling In Love

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 4:30pm

Our favorite group of very patient and precious pups is winning hearts after a video shows them on their doggy daycare bus, all dressed up for Valentine's Day and their classmate's birthday celebration. Birthday boy Vinnie is turning three, and his parents sent pieces of steak to share with his lucky friends. Wearing heart antennae headbands and giant Valentine cut-outs, the dogs wait politely for their turn, each one cuter and more lovable than the last. Vinnie, of course, is wearing a birthday hat of honor and gets seconds on the snacks.

@k9konvoy

Happy 3rd birthday Vinnie! 💙🐾 #dogbirthday #dogbirthdayparty #valentinesday

♬ Happy Birthday To You - Baby Danny

Can you even with these costumes?! And Vinnie's parents aren't messing around with the treats.

"Vinnie says, 'go big or go home on the snacks, friends!'" laughs one viewer.

Another envious fan agrees, "Steak?! I wish I were on the bus today for snacktime! Happy Birthday, Vin!"

Vinnie's pals Zeke, Ziggy, and Clutch assume their usual cozy positions on the floor, with the rest of the gang celebrating like little ladies and gentlemen in their assigned seats. Human passengers could stand to learn a thing or two about good behavior from these civilized canines.

Related: Golden Retriever Reunites With Mom and Brothers for His Birthday and Pure Joy Ensues

Are 'Dog Years' a Real Thing?

Vinnie might be turning three, but what does that mean in human years? We’ve all heard the old rule: one dog year equals seven human years. It’s catchy — but not really accurate.

The idea likely stuck because people once lived to around 70 while dogs averaged about ten, and veterinarians used it as a simple way to explain how quickly dogs mature and why yearly checkups matter. But dogs don’t age in a straight line like that. They grow up fast at the beginning, and then the pace slows.

A better guideline: a dog’s first year is roughly equal to about 15 human years. The second year adds about nine more. After that, each additional year is closer to five human years — though size matters a lot. The American Veterinary Medical Association says it varies when a dog can be considered a senior. Small breeds tend to live longer and are considered seniors around age seven, while large breeds age faster and may be seniors by five or six. A giant breed like a Great Dane can be middle-aged by four.

Researchers still aren’t sure why bigger dogs have shorter lifespans, but faster growth and earlier age-related disease may play a role. What matters most is this: dogs don’t fit neatly into a formula. However long they’re with us, every stage — puppy chaos to gray-muzzle sweetness — counts.

HomeGoods Is Selling a La-Z-Boy Couch for Dogs and Pet Parents Are Rushing to Get It

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 4:00pm

Making our pets feel at home is very important. They're just as much a part of our family as anyone else is, and they deserve to feel like it. My dogs might just think that I'm actually their pet, honestly. They call all of the shots.

We just let ours up on the furniture, though there are some dog-specific pieces around to minimize fur everywhere. Now, HomeGoods is selling a La-Z Boy dog couch that might just win at life:

@shopaholicsyndrome

when my dogs have a nicer couch than me! 🤣🥰😱😩🐶 RUN TO @HomeGoods to get your doggies the cutest, comfiest little couch!!!! 🫶🏼✨🛋️ #homegoods #haul #homegoodshaul #homegoods #dogs

♬ Opening (Spirit of Adventure) - Andrea Datzman & Curtis Green

Shopaholics Syndrome is actually the best for putting this couch on blast. I think I need one for each of my dogs, two of whom are the ultimate lazy boys. There are a few things to note about this epic couch:

  1. It's not just La-Z Boy-inspired: La-Z Boy made it.
  2. It's priced at $79.99.
  3. It's bigger than it looks, and can fit up to a mid-large breed dog.

The couch is not a direct replica of one of their regular models, but it does have that signature La-Z Boy look. The best part is those little button details all around it, and the tufting is a nice touch.

Related: Huge Bulldog’s Plop Onto the Couch Could Shake the Whole House

People in the comments are claiming this same couch was available at Costco a while back, but that version was significantly more expensive than this one. HomeGoods is one of those stores; if you like it, you'd better go grab one!

Cleaning La-Z Boy Dog Couches

The couch is not overly fluffy, either, which means it's easier to clean. Though it doesn't look like the covers come off, you can wipe this material down with a damp cloth or even your steam cleaner. Wait for it to dry before letting your pup back on!

Though you might not think about it, your dog's resting places need to be cleaned frequently, and yours need to be cleaned more frequently if they're allowed on. Dirt, grime, and potential bacteria can all get tracked in on those paws! You should be:

  • Vacuuming up fur and dirt daily.
  • Wiping everything down with a pet-safe wet wipe once a week.
  • Properly washing each item once every two weeks, or whenever they look visibly dirty.

It sounds like a lot of work, but it's worth it. Your home will smell better, and your epic La-Z Boy dog couch will last even longer!

Goldendoodle Puppy Clocks in for 'Witching Hour' Like a Chaotic King

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 3:55pm

If you've ever had a puppy, you're aware of how much energy they have to burn. It doesn't matter if they've hiked 74,000 miles or played sunup to sundown. There's always a little left in the tank for the pre-bedtime chaos.

Brew, the Goldendoodle, is Exhibit A, and his version of the 7-9 p.m. witching hour is a stark reminder that puppies never slow down when we want them to. If anything, that's their internal clock's "go-time" alarm, and all we can do is let them!

A handsome Doodle dog lies on a bed comforter with his paws crossed.

Image via Unsplash

It's hard not to feel a little envy watching the young pup zip and zoom at the end of a long day—I'm exhausted! He's got zero stress, responsibilities, bills, or work, so I can imagine how freeing life feels. Brew is pure, unhinged chaos in the most adorable way!

@sampson_the_dood

Every night b/w 7-9pm 🤪 chaos! #puppylife

♬ The Benny Hill Show - The Edwin Davids Jazz Band

The best part of the video is the contrast between the dog brothers. The older, calmer Goldendoodle and "ball pit king" Sampson stands still as little brother erupts like a wildfire! They're the perfect example of how completely opposite siblings can be (I'm more of a Sampson, TBH).

Related: Goldendoodle's Special Piano Performance Gives Alicia Keys a Run for Her Money

Someone in the comments called this time "yappy hour," and that about sums it up. I don't know if Brew ever settled down. Legend has it, he's still digging into the couch, running like he's on fire, and using up all that youthful energy reserve we all wish we could have.

@sampson_the_dood

He was so tired at the end 😂 #puppylife

♬ The Benny Hill Show - The Edwin Davids Jazz Band

I'm assuming Brew slept at some point, but knowing puppies—who are too much like toddlers—he probably only needed about 1.5 hours of z's, and then he was ready to get back at it (*sighs in jealously*).

Goldendoodle Puppies Have Energy To Spare

Seeing as little Brew is half Golden Retriever and half Poodle, his DNA is built on high energy. As a puppy, it's going to be a whole other level, as you can see! As he gets older, he'll adjust to life in a calmer state, like Sampson... maybe.

For now, witching hour is his favorite hour, and he's going to live it up!

Pug Pays Homage to Olympic Athletes and 'Makes America Proud' in Heartwarming Clip

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 3:32pm

Dogs have a unique talent for being the absolute cutest thing you’ve ever seen at any given moment. Whether it’s an adorable stretch in the sunlight, a funny face or blank stare, or one of those silly videos that perfectly captures their personality, every day offers plenty of opportunities to find yourself gushing over something cute your dog just did.

With the Winter Olympics underway, one internet-famous pug took to TikTok to show support for the athletes in what has since become a hilarious viral clip. And sure, dogs are naturally cute, but this video proves a little creative direction from Mom and Dad goes a long way and also makes us wonder why dogs in the Olympics aren’t already a thing.

The video, which has already garnered thousands of comments from supportive fans, shows the cutie pie known as @dougthepug sporting a red American flag sweater and goggles as he “drops in” for his debut Olympic ski jump. Above the clip, the words “Every Olympics team needs a pug” appear alongside a gold medal emoji as Doug blasts off and completes a legendary jump.

“It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s a pug!” the caption reads, perfectly capturing the essence of the video as Doug is depicted soaring through the air, looking down at everything below, spotting his landing and ultimately finding himself on the first-place podium with a gold medal around his neck.

“Doug the pug in the Olympics is always worth watching,” one fan wrote in response to the epic video. “Doug is making America proud,” another exclaimed, while others rated the performance a “10++++” and called Doug their “new favorite contender for sure!”

Are Pugs Actually Athletic?

Best known for their squishy faces, short stature and linebacker-esque, solid build, pugs have an irresistibly lovable personality. And despite not being known for their agility or athleticism, they can be surprisingly active for short bursts of play. Their compact, muscular build makes them great at quick sprints, playful roughhousing and basic tricks—but admittedly, they aren’t getting on a ski slope anytime soon.

That said, pugs are prone to joint and mobility issues, so while regular play is great for their health, going too hard can lead to irreversible damage. And since these little good boys and girls are already susceptible to hip dysplasia, patellar luxation and arthritis, you’ll want to do everything you can to keep their lives comfortable and cozy, with safe doses of playful activity sprinkled throughout.

Thankfully, videos featuring cuties like Doug the Pug are exactly what we need to keep a smile on our faces. And while the little guy won’t be hitting the slopes this Olympic season, every country should seriously consider adding his constituents to their teams for moral support.

Mini Dachshund Puppy's Funny 'Argument' With Mom Brings All the Laughs

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 2:33pm

Some puppies whine softly when playtime ends. Mirren the Mini Dachshund? She delivers a full-blown vocal performance that could rival any courtroom drama.

A viral TikTok from @lifewithMirren shows this sassy puppy "talking back" to her mom with an impressive range of vocalizations. Posted with the caption "All this because I only played her favorite game (peek-a-boo) for 5 minutes and not 5 hours," and text reading "POV: You're arguing with a mini-Dachshund puppy!" the video captures Mirren's passionate protest about the criminally short playtime.

The tiny pup unleashes a series of barks, whines and what can only be described as strongly worded opinions about the injustice of ending peek-a-boo after a mere five minutes instead of the clearly reasonable five-hour session she requested.

@lifewithmirren

All this because I only played her favorite game (peek-a-boo) for 5 minutes and not 5 hours #puppy #fyp #minidachshund

♬ original sound - mirrenthedoxie

The comment section related hard to Mirren's dramatic energy. "They have an attitude every day 😂😂" wrote one Dachshund parent who clearly understands the breed.

"What a sassy little girl she is!🙂" observed another fan, appreciating Mirren's spirited personality.

"For such a small dog, she has a lot of stuff to talk about!" noted one commenter, perfectly summarizing the Dachshund experience.

Related: Tutu-Wearing Dachshund Celebrates Birthday With a Cheeseburger Like the Queen She Is

Others recognized trouble when they saw it. "She's definitely getting you into trouble ♥️" predicted one viewer.

The reactions were unanimous: "So feisty," "So cute," and the ultimate compliment: "I need another one 😭"

Mini Dachshunds Are Known for Their Distinct Vocalizations and Big Personalities

Mirren's vocal protest perfectly demonstrates why Dachshunds are famous for having big voices in small packages. These dogs are well-known for their distinct vocalizations, using barking, whining and various sounds to communicate their needs and feelings.

High-pitched, repetitive barks—like Mirren's passionate argument—often signify excitement or attention-seeking behavior. Whining typically indicates a desire for attention, which clearly applies to Mirren's peek-a-boo grievance.

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

Dachshunds start developing their vocal skills around 2-3 weeks old, with vocalizations becoming more noticeable during the socialization period. Each Dachshund is unique in how they express themselves, though female Dachshunds tend to bark more frequently than their male counterparts.

Managing attention-seeking vocalizations involves exercises, tricks, games and rotating toys—though clearly Mirren believes five minutes of peek-a-boo falls woefully short of adequate entertainment.

As her mom learned: when it comes to playtime negotiations with a Mini Dachshund puppy, prepare for a spirited debate. Court is always in session.

Sphynx Cat Supervising Dad's Workout Is the Best Little Gym Coach

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 1:37pm

Some people hire personal trainers. Miguel has a much more demanding coach: his Sphynx cat, Voodoo, affectionately known as "Rotisserie Chicken."

A viral TikTok from @miguel_harichi shows what happens when workout time collides with cat attention needs. Posted with the caption "Doing push-ups with my rotisserie chicken" and "Letting my cat coach my pushups," the video captures the adorable chaos of trying to exercise with a very involved feline supervisor.

Mid-push-up, Voodoo saunters over and demands immediate affection. Miguel pauses, patiently receives his love, and reciprocates with gentle pets. Then he attempts to continue his workout—but now he's doing side-to-side push-ups to avoid his precious little Chicken, who has positioned himself directly in his path.

The comment section erupted with appreciation for both the workout supervision and the patient cat dad. "The cat really said 'lower annnnddd hold' 😂🤭" joked one viewer, recognizing the coaching energy.

"You go this way, I go that way….ok go! Wait, no this way…" another fan narrated, perfectly capturing the modified workout routine.

Several comments noted the unexpected star power: "I was so focused on the rotisserie chicken, I didn't even know it was Miguel until I came to the comments! 😂"

Related: Senior Cat Full of Gratitude After Being Rescued From Shelter Given Most Fitting Name

Others appreciated the dynamic: "The cat is utterly obsessed with you, Miguel," and "Just a man and his cat🥰."

The backstory made it even better. "I love how he got the cat for Leah but the baby said 'not the mama' 😂" wrote one commenter, referencing how Rotisserie Chicken chose Miguel as her favorite person despite being adopted for his partner.

One fan summed it up perfectly: "Isn't this the most endearing thing you've seen on TikTok today!"

Sphynx Cats Are Energetic, Loyal Companions Who Love Involvement

Rotisserie Chicken's insistence on participating in Miguel's workout perfectly demonstrates classic Sphynx cat personality. Tuxedo Cat Wears New 'Royal Robe' and Instantly Transforms Into a King

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 1:20pm

It’s always fun to get yourself something new to wear, but I’d argue that it’s even more delightful to pick up a new garment for your pet.

Tuxedo cats don’t necessarily need any dressing up, as their stunning coats already have them looking quite dapper and formal. But in the case of one handsome Tuxedo cat named Sir Arthur, his family couldn’t resist elevating his already elegant look.

In an adorable TikTok clip, we meet this regal little fella who has a new robe fit for a king. Take a look!

While we think Sir Arthur looks fantastic, he doesn’t look thrilled about this new robe, does he? Perhaps that black-and-white pattern reminds him of a Dalmatian? Or maybe he's thinking, "I'm already wearing a fur coat, I don't need this heavy thing!"

His royal subjects, aka his viewers, love his new frock.

"All hail the king!!!! 👑," one wrote.

"He needs a crown ❤," another commented.

We agree... but don't tell Sir Arthur!

Related: Samoyed's Human-Like Good Morning Hug for Dad Will Have You Amazed

"I don't believe in kings, but for him I make an exception. I believe his rule will be just," another fan noted.

How Do You Convince Pets To Wear Costumes?

As we've established, Sir Arthur's expression is giving subtle, "Get this thing off me!" vibes. As someone who loves dressing up cats for Halloween, I can say that getting a pet to put on an outfit can be a bit of a challenge, but there are ways to make it easier on all parties.

First, let your pet see and sniff the outfit. Second, proceed slowly. If they resist, don't force it. Third, pair the outfit with some treats. By now, my pets understand that if they play along, it'll only be for a quick photo op, and they'll be rewarded for it.

This could work as a Halloween costume for Sir Arthur, as one fan thinks he resembles a celebrity.

"He looks like my beloved Freddie Mercury 😂, I LOVE IT!!! 😻😻😻❤," this viewer noted.

Either way, we hope Sir Arthur knows he's brought lots of joy to everyone who's seen his new look!

Tiny Yorkie Puts on a Halftime Show That Would Make Bad Bunny Proud

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 12:55pm

A tiny Yorkshire Terrier named Peanut just delivered a Super Bowl halftime show performance that people are still replaying. Dressed in white sunglasses and a full white outfit, the little Yorkie rises dramatically out of a cardboard stadium, like he has been training for this moment his entire life.

The Tiny Yorkshire Terrier halftime show parody leans fully into the spectacle. As Peanut pops up from the mini stadium set and starts “dancing,” it is clear this dog understood the assignment. The production value alone, complete with gloves and stage cues from his dog mom, makes it feel like a true Super Bowl Halftime performance tribute. Bad Bunny would be so proud!

The TikTok clip was shared by @gettishow, and the caption reads, “Watch Peanut, the adorable Yorkie, steal the show as Bad Bunny during the Super Bowl Halftime performance!”

Peanut’s entrance is what really sells it. He slowly rises from the cardboard arena while his cat brother, wearing a tiny straw Panama hat, watches from the audience like a slightly confused but supportive critic. That cat’s expression alone deserves an award.

Related: Fate of Aussie Pup in Wheelchair Who Stole Hearts at Puppy Bowl Has Fans Sobbing

Viewers were immediately obsessed. “I would watch this halftime show on REPEAT!! Bad Peanut is awesome and has a new fan!” one person wrote. Another admitted, “I’m just mad I didn’t have this idea.”

Several people declared it superior to the Puppy Bowl. “This is better than the Puppy Bowl,” one commenter said, while another added, “The best puppy dog halftime show ever.” Someone else couldn’t get over the details: “Loving the entrance and exit. Very classy.”

“The icon, the cat took me out, hahahaha,” one viewer said, and honestly, same. The silent side-eye from the cat in the hat adds a whole extra layer of comedy.

“I can’t stop watching this,” another person wrote. And that tracks. It has that loopable quality where you notice something new every time, whether it is the gloves, the sunglasses, or the tiny, dramatic dance moves.

As someone who has absolutely replayed a dog video more times than I would publicly admit, I get it. If one of my own crew tried to rise out of a cardboard stadium in sunglasses, I would be insufferable about it for weeks. So many props to this clever dog mama for this adorably hilarious video!

Five Fun Facts About the Puppy Bowl @usatodaypets

Puppy Bowl returns for its 22nd edition and will feature a record-breaking 150 dogs, including 15 special needs dogs from 72 shelters.

♬ original sound - usatodaypets

The Puppy Bowl actually debuted in 2005 as an alternative to the Super Bowl for animal lovers. It airs on Animal Planet and features adoptable puppies playing on a miniature football field.

All the puppies featured in the Puppy Bowl come from shelters and rescue organizations across the country. The event has helped raise awareness about pet adoption and has led to countless puppies finding homes.

The game includes a referee, slow-motion replays, and even a halftime show. Over the years, kittens, bunnies, and other animals have also made appearances during special segments.

The field is designed with chew toys instead of footballs, and “touchdowns” are scored when puppies carry toys into the end zone. It is chaos, but adorable chaos.

And yes, the Puppy Bowl has become such a staple that many viewers tune in specifically for it, and sometimes more than the actual football game.

After watching Peanut’s halftime spectacle, though, it is safe to say he might have just secured his own spot in the Puppy Bowl Hall of Fame.

Orange Cat Turns Hotel Room Into Personal Parkour Course During Very First Stay

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 12:37pm

Traveling with cats isn't always easy, but sometimes, it's necessary. Even if you have a trusted pet sitter that you can call on, the situation can change in an instant, and if you need to evacuate, you have to figure out how to take your cat with you.

Some cats (like mine) can think of few things mores stressful than not being at home, but that's definitely not the case for the orange cat in the video below as he experiences his very first staycation.

@jademariecole

Replying to @stillnopickles he’s doing just fine 🤣♥️ #catsoftiktiok #orangecat #bostontiktok #trending #fyp

♬ Funny - Gold-Tiger

Thanks to this video shared on Tuesday, February 10 by @jademariecole on TikTok, we get to see how her cat reacted when he stayed in a hotel for the first time in his life. It's like he immediately went into explore mode!

This cat was bravely scaling the furniture, doing parkour all over the place in the process. He was a little cautious (probably because he's so smart) and knew exactly when the time had come for him to make a soft landing on the bed.

Hopefully he settled in well for the night after all this excitement!

Related: 'Gluttonous' Orange Cat Boldly Steals Mom's Breakfast With Exactly Zero Regrets

Unfortunately, this kitty and his family aren't spending the night in a hotel room because they're on vacation — instead, they evacuated there after their apartment flooded, so there's no doubt that the sudden change in plans is taking a bit of a toll on him, too.

Before sharing all the parkour adventures, his mom posted a video revealing that she came home from watching the Super Bowl only to discover that there was water absolutely everywhere, and the hallways were already being vacuumed up.

Even her cat's toys and crinkly tunnels were victims of the flood, and fortunately, he seeemd to hang in there pretty well, even though he must have been at least a little freaked out about the flooding that happened while his mom wasn't home!

Here's hoping they can move back home soon. Until then... parkour, obviously.

Golden Retriever Realizes New Puppy Is Spending the Night and the Panic Is Real

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 12:20pm

The first night our senior rescue dog came along, our resident pup had a lot of opinions. Being the only dog child with three cats meant she had the run of the house and loved every second of it. With the newbie in her space, taking up our attention, and being in her way, things took a while to fully settle before getting to where we are now.

Beau, the Golden Retriever, went through the same string of emotions as my dog with the arrival of little brother Wylder. From initial excitement to "when the heck is he leaving," sweet Beau tries his best to adjust, but with the pup "spending the night," he'd like a word with Mom and Dad.

I can honestly relate to Beau on so many levels. When my mom brought my little brother home from the hospital, I was NOT having it! It seems the role of the eldest is universal, so I feel ya, buddy!

It's hard to say what's going through the resident Golden Retriever's mind here, but based on the cautious way he's sniffing the barrier, he's not sure, either. All he knows is, the tiny playmate he had fun with earlier isn't leaving, so naturally, panic is the only acceptable (and too relatable) reaction!

Fans Are Having a Ball With Beau's Reaction

As one fan commented, "Large potato investigates eppy potato," and that pretty much nails it! Mom responded, "I don’t think he passed the sniff test," and that looks like what Beau's thinking here.

Others chimed in to guess what big brother might say if he could talk, and they're too funny.

"He’s like, 'You better wake up, you’re gonna miss your bus!'" one fan joked.

“Ummmmm, whatcha doing!? Time for you to go," another wrote.

"Hey, wake up, I’ll call you an Uber," another added.

Unfortunately for Beau, Wylder isn't going anywhere, so he's going to have to take a few deep breaths. Maybe in time, he'll decide having a little sibling isn't so bad. • Spoil them after with lots of love: As a post-photo reward, have something new on hand, like an extra special treat, to give them some extra love for being the best Valentine.

Kind Airport Baggage Handler Sweetly Comforting Animals in Cargo Is Going Viral

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 12:05pm

Every once in a while, the internet hands us a video that feels like a deep breath. This is one of those.

In the TikTok clip, we see an airport baggage handler doing the part of his job most of us never witness: unloading pet carriers from the cargo hold of a plane. But he’s not just moving boxes. He pauses with each crate, leans in close, and talks gently to the animals inside. You can’t hear every word, but you can feel the tone—soft, reassuring, like he’s letting them know they’re not alone in this loud, confusing place.

@mcqueen.rescues

In a world that moves fast, you chose kindness. You may think it was just your job but to them it made a scary moment feel safe! Kind people like you make the world a better place. I hope this message finds you! 🥺❤️ #viral #fyp #kindness #animallover

♬ Ordinary - Alex Warren

The post caption sums it up perfectly:

“In a world that moves fast, you chose kindness.
You may think it was just your job but to them it made a scary moment feel safe!
Kind people like you make the world a better place.
I hope this message finds you! 🥺❤️”

One commenter nailed what everyone is thinking: “I just know he asked all of them if they had a good trip 🥺.”

While most of us only see the happy reunion side of air travel with pets—dogs sprinting across arrivals to their people, cats riding in carriers through terminals—the reality is that flying can be incredibly stressful for animals. Strange smells, loud engines, temperature shifts, separation from their humans: it’s a lot.

And then you see this guy, taking extra seconds he absolutely doesn’t have to take, just to make the journey a little less terrifying for a few scared passengers who happen to have fur.

View this post on Instagram

It’s such a small, quiet act. No big speech. No “look at me” moment. Just a human, a row of kennels, and a choice to treat those animals like someone instead of something.

Knowing people like this exist out on the tarmac makes it a tiny bit easier for pet parents to breathe when they hand over a crate at check-in. It also reminds us that decency rarely makes headlines—but it does make videos like this go insanely viral, because our hearts are desperate for proof that this kind of kindness is still happening every day in the background.

The Little Things That Make Pet Travel Less Scary

Air travel can be overwhelming for animals: strange smells, loud engines, new people, and separation from their favorite humans. That’s why the baggage handler’s quiet kindness in this video matters so much. A calm voice, a gentle hand on the crate, and a moment of eye contact can turn a terrifying experience into something just a bit more bearable.

Veterinary experts stress that when pets fly, every detail counts—from sturdy, well-ventilated carriers to clear labels and humans who advocate for their comfort and safety. The American Veterinary Medical Association has a helpful guide on planning safe trips with dogs and cats, including tips for choosing carriers, working with your veterinarian before you fly, and understanding airline rules

That baggage handler may see it as “just doing his job,” but for the animals in those kennels—and the people waiting anxiously on the other end—his small acts of tenderness are the difference between feeling like cargo and feeling seen, cared for, and safe.

Rozanov or Hollander Pet Sweater Jersey, $25 on Etsy Dog wearing a Rozanov jersey

Etsy

If you’re a Heated Rivalry fan looking for a hilariously niche yet genuinely practical way to keep your pup warm, the Rozanov or Hollander Pet Sweater Jersey on Etsy might be your next favorite find. Inspired by the series’ iconic hockey rivalry, the jersey lets fans choose their side: Team Rozanov with number 81 or Team Hollander with number 24.

Designed by Etsy shop SmutandBravo, the sweater leans fully into sporty aesthetics with bold block lettering and classic jersey styling. But this isn’t just photo-op merch. The base colors are made from 100 percent cotton, while heather variations feature a soft polyester blend, making them comfortable for everyday wear and cozy enough for chilly walks

It’s also machine-washable (because dogs) and available in sizes XS through 3XL. For pups with broader chests, the shop recommends sizing up for the best fit.

Whether you’re shopping for a Halloween look or just a way to bring your dog into your pop-culture obsession (because yes, your pup is a Heated Rivalry stan now), this jersey checks all the boxes: cute, cozy and ready to be featured in your next social post!

What Exactly Is 'Heated Rivalry,' Anyway?

For anyone who somehow missed it, Heated Rivalry has become a full-fledged phenomenon. The adaptation of the beloved steamy romance novel brings Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov’s fierce hockey rivalry and slow-burn relationship to the screen.

The series follows two professional hockey players who conceal a secret, years-long romance off the ice. Set in the high-pressure world of the NHL, it combines sports drama with undeniable chemistry and emotional stakes that keep viewers hooked.

Despite the juicy tension, what truly sets Heated Rivalry apart is its impact. By featuring two elite male athletes in a same-sex relationship—something still rarely portrayed in mainstream sports stories—the show has struck a meaningful chord. Placing an LGBTQ+ love story inside the hyper-masculine world of professional hockey opens the door to conversations about visibility, representation and what it means for athletes to feel safe being open about who they are. For many viewers, that representation feels both affirming and long overdue.

No matter what draws viewers in, the series has inspired a wave of excitement, spirited online conversations and playful merch (like this dog jersey) that lets fans proudly declare their allegiance.

So tell us: Which team are you (and your pup) on? Rozanov or Hollander?

Sweet German Shepherd Skips the Park for Olympic Glory

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 11:48am

Sometimes, your job is more important than playtime. For this professional German shepherd, that moment has arrived at the biggest stage: the Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina.

A new video, published by the official TikTok channel of the Olympics, shows a German shepherd who has received accreditation to work at the Games. Wearing his official credentials with pride, the dog confidently walks beside his handler. The caption says it all: “Coming to the park today? Can’t, I’m working at #MilanoCortina2026."

Other dogs might spend their day chasing tennis balls or lounging, but this German shepherd has a more important calling. He is one of the elite few to receive an official Olympics accreditation, and he wears it with pride.

Sorry, park. The Olympics are calling.

A Breed Built for Work

Working dogs like German shepherd serve crucial roles, even at the Winter Olympics. What makes this video so charming is the pairing of a very normal dog desire—going to the park—with an impressive job—working at the Olympics.

For this German shepherd, his credentials hanging from the collar grant him access to secure areas and identify him as the official member of the Olympic team. For a dog breed that thrives on having a purpose, it looks like this dog is living his best professional life.

Related: German Shepherd’s ‘Speech’ Sounds Just Like Someone Cleaning a Window

Ever since they were first introduced to the canine world, German shepherds have been praised for their working roles, dominating police K-9 units, border patrol operations and private security work. Now, he is living his best professional life at the Winter Olympics.

Dogs at the Olympics

Dogs have appeared in Olympic history primarily as official mascots and, in some cases, as part of demonstration sports. Waldi the dachshund is the best example. He was the first official mascot, appearing at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.

We also have to mention the 1932 Lake Placid Winter Games, when a sled dog race was included as a demonstration event.

While the Olympics have used working dogs for decades, they rarely get the spotlight they deserve. This German shepherd is changing that.

Dachshund in Wheelchair Has Skis for Snow and We Can't Even

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 11:20am

Dogs always persevere, even when faced with the greatest of challenges.

From little tiny dogs to massive big dogs, they will find a way to thrive.

We get to see a perfect example of that in this new video from the account @dockers_on_wheels.

Dockers is a short-haired brown Dachshund who is partially paralyzed, and he's a fighter!

This account is full of inspiring videos of this energetic guy living his best life.

He uses wheels for his two hind legs, and he will not be stopped!

So what do you do when it snows? No problem for Dockers! He just puts skis on his wheels.

How inventive!

@dockers_on_wheels

Snow day ❄️ This morning we woke up to a winter wonderland! We were all so excited to get outside as we got 6 inches of snow! However, we quickly realized the snow was too deep for my little legs and I needed a pathway cleared for me to be able to walk comfortably. The snow was just too deep for me, so I didn’t spend long outside. I’ll try again after the snow has melted a bit! I’ve spent the afternoon snacking on yummy treats and staying warm, so I’m happy! Hoping you all are enjoying the snow and are having so much fun! ⛄️❄️ #dachshund #dogsofinstagram #dogsoftiktok #wheelchairdog #winter

♬ Married Life (From "Up") - Gina Luciani

Dockers, who lives in North Carolina with his family, got 6 inches of snow, so of course he had to go experience that, as that much snow is pretty rare in that area of the country!

He got all bundled up in his snow jacket and boots, and then it was time for his skis! The little skis basically replace his usual wheels and pave the snow for him, though we could tell his front legs were working hard moving his contraption.

What a strong dog!

His parents wrote in the caption of the video, "This morning we woke up to a winter wonderland! We were all so excited to get outside as we got 6 inches of snow! However, we quickly realized the snow was too deep for my little legs, and I needed a pathway cleared for me to be able to walk comfortably. The snow was just too deep for me, so I didn’t spend long outside. I’ll try again after the snow has melted a bit! I’ve spent the afternoon snacking on yummy treats and staying warm, so I’m happy!"

What a brave boy!

What Are the Causes of Dog Paralysis?

You may be wondering how a dog became partially paralyzed.

It is actually more common than you think, and there are several causes.

According to the American Kennel Club, systemic causes due to ticks, bacteria, or viruses, as well as trauma or injury, or hereditary issues, can be the culprit.

If your pup is experiencing symptoms such as full or partial inability to move legs, dragging back legs, a stiff-legged gait, lack of coordination, inability to urinate, or incontinence, contact your vet or emergency clinic as soon as possible.

Shook Cockatoo Has Hilarious Reaction to Mom 'Growing Feathers on Head' With Bath Towel

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 10:55am

If I could go back in time and redo a few things in my life, I'd create something (who knows what) that makes me a billionaire, live in a haunted farmhouse with tons of land—plus a vacation beach house to retreat to anytime—and I'd adopt as many pets as possible. If one of those pets embodied the kind of toddler energy to make me laugh on the daily, that's just an added bonus. I can think of a few who'd be up for the task, but one's got that "it" factor.

Being a natural entertainer, Charlie Junior the Cockatoo fits the bill for "funny and adorable pets." Though this boy doesn't typically prefer the spare human (aka Mom), he's astounded by the bath towel on her head, which resembles bird-like feathers. He's always a riot, but in the recent clip, he is SHOOK!

Close-up side view of a Cockatoo with her mouth open.

Every new piece of Charlie content is better than the last. Not only is this charismatic Cockatoo a comedian, but he's so honest with his reactions—good and bad. With Mom, it's almost always over the top, and it's why I love him so much.

@charliejuniorcockatoo

He was so confused that I grew feathers overnight 😆 #cutepets #adorable #parrots #umbrellacockatoo #fyp

♬ Pennies From Heaven - Remastered - Louis Prima

As the video shows, Charlie's surprise can't be hidden because his feathers all sprawled out can't hide it. The way the Cockatoo cocks his head to the side, jaw agape as he studies "what the flock" has happened, is pure comedy. Like a toddler, Charlie may be smart, but some things are still a mystery!

Charlie Loves Time With His Favorite Person

As many times as I've covered Charlie, there are three times as many videos that show how deep this bird's love goes—for Dad (sorry, Mom)! Charlie spends his days with the spare human, but once Dad's home, all bets are off.

The two of them have such a deep bond that no one else is invited. Mom films while Dad and Charlie have their nightly dance parties, which bring us all SO much joy, it's ridiculous.

Charlie reacting to something new is good stuff. Today it's Mom "growing feathers," tomorrow who knows. Whatever he does next, I'll be right here waiting to cheer this funny bird on!

Bernese Mountain Dog Throws the Cutest Fit of Impatience While Waiting on Pup Cup

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 10:33am

If you have a dog who happens to be obsessed with pup cups, you're not the only one. Who knew how much a little cup of whipped cream from a coffee shop or drive thru could mean to a dog? But to the ones who are devoted fans, it's a top tier treat.

Many dogs know the drill: If you're making a certain drive thru stop, that means the pup cup is imminent. And in the case of Bogey the Bernese Mountain Dog, he simply could not wait one more second to chow down.

@bogeybearmedina

Patience is not in his vocabulary. He demands a pup cup now!🐶😂 #pupcup #dogsoftiktok #bernesemountaindog #funnydog #sillydog

♬ original sound - Bogey Bear the Bernese

As Bogey's mom wrote in her caption, "patience is not in his vocabulary," and that's really what we see play out right here in this TikTok. He's in the back seat, and he knows that a pup cup is coming, and he simply cannot contain himself.

He's even shoving his face up to the driver's seat to see what's taking so long, and even throws in a few barks for good measure.

Can someone get this dog his treat, please?!

Training Dogs to Be More Patient

Just like human beings aren't born as perfectly patient angels, the same goes for dogs. For the most part, impatient puppies need to be taught how to be patient adult dogs, and that can take a little work!

According to the American Kennel Club, it's all about instilling "impulse control" in your dog, and when it comes to developing this skill, rewards like treats can be very helpful (as is true with teaching your dog many other tricks).

You can offer your pup a treat for exercising their patience following a command, whether you want them to sit or stand in a certain area. It can also help to teach them using games, like letting them sniff a treat in your closed hand before opening it, letting them see there's a treat in there, and closing it back up. Once they stop going wild over it, give them a treat with your other hand, showing them that patience does come with a reward!

It might take some time to get their self-control where you want it to be, but in the end, the investment is totally worth it.

Mini Dachshund Carries Around Lookalike Plushie and It's the Cutest

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 10:10am

My dogs love their toys. When I bring home a brand new pack of plushies, they can't wait to dig in and claim their favorite. Then, they compete to see who can find their toy's squeaker first. Neither my Dachshund nor my Pug mix seems to develop an emotional attachment to these playthings and views them merely as items to chew and fetch.

Winnie the Mini Dachshund obviously has a different perspective on her prized plushie and treats it with tender loving care, probably because it looks just like her.

@winniethemini.xo

Winnie with a teddy Winnie🥹🧸#miniaturedachshundpuppy #dogsoftiktok #cutepuppyvideos #winniethemini #funnydogvideos

♬ original sound - iwgytm_

In the TikTok from @winniethemini.xo, the precious pooch strutted through the house with a spring in her step. She proudly carried her Dachshund stuffed animal in her mouth, which bore a striking resemblance to herself.

Winnie transported the toy with the utmost gentleness. There was no footage of her chewing or pulling on the plushie. Since the toy was basically her twin, Winnie probably felt a kinship with the stuffed animal rather than seeing it as an object to be thrown across the room.

The canine cutie exuded pure joy as she brought her "mini me" with her everywhere, almost as if she were protecting her best pal. Viewers were charmed by Winnie and her devotion to the toy dog.

"This is literally one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen," one gushed.

"She loves her wee teddy," another remarked.

"Aww Winnie and teddy Winnie, this is just cuteness overload," a follower raved.

"Just a dog with her best friend," someone noted.

Dogs Develop Attachments to Plushies

While my fur babies prefer to roughhouse with their toys, many dogs form a bond with a certain plushie they consider special. Whether it's because of the shape, softness, texture, or something from their puppy days, stuffed toys often bring comfort to canines.

Related: 14-Year-Old Dachshund Looks the Same as His Puppy Picture and We Want His Anti-Aging Secret

Dachshunds are known for their strong prey drive. Many Doxies, like mine, aim to "capture" their toys like a hunted object. Other dogs take a more maternal approach and prefer to carry or cuddle their plushies.

Winnie obviously takes the gentler route and treats her plushie like a very special friend, or her long-lost lookalike.

Two-Legged Shorkie Shows Off Her Three Adorably Unique Ways of Walking

Wed, 02/11/2026 - 9:55am

Noel the Shorkie—a mix between a shih tzu and a Yorkshire terrier—may only have two legs, but when it comes to getting around, the girl has options.

In a heart-melting video shared by @noelthebipawdshorkie on TikTok, the 10-year-old pup confidently makes her way through the house using not one, not two, but three completely different walking styles, and it’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite.

Noel Has Three Distinct Ways of Walking @noelthebipawdshorkie

Noel has three ways of walking, and she changes them up all over the house. #dogsoftiktok #twoleggeddog #cute #littledogs #dogs

♬ [Raw recording] Record playback noise 01 (3 minutes) - Icy Light

The clip begins with Noel perched comfortably on her dog dad’s lap. When her dog mom cheerfully asks, “Ready for dinner?” Noel’s ears instantly perk up. She wiggles excitedly, clearly ready for mealtime.

Once placed on the floor, Noel heads toward the kitchen, and that’s when she begins to show off her incredibly cute walking styles.

First up is what her family calls the “snow plow.” Noel lowers the front of her body to the ground, using her head and chest for balance while powerfully pushing herself forward with her back legs.

Related: Brave Little Maltipoo Explores the Woods in His Wheelchair—and Viewers Are in Tears

Next up is the “bunny hop,” where Noel pushes off with her back legs and moves forward in quick, springy bursts that look like a rabbit in motion.

But her final way of getting around truly steals the spotlight. When Noel goes “upright,” she balances completely on her two back legs and walks across the room like a tiny human—or an adorable, walking teddy bear.

Three distinct walking styles. One very focused dinner goal. And almost too much cuteness to handle!

What Is Noel’s Story?

According to her family’s Facebook page, Noel was found years ago on the street with severely broken front legs. The injuries were so serious that amputation was necessary to save her life.

Her now-family stepped in as fosters while she recovered from her surgeries, helping her adjust to life on two legs. Somewhere along the way, fostering turned into forever. Her humans officially adopted her, and she’s been thriving ever since.

Today, Noel uses a wheelchair for outdoor exercise and longer outings, but inside her home, she moves around remarkably well without it.

Noel’s story is one of resilience, love and adaptation. Despite her difficult past, she has figured out how to confidently navigate her world in ways that work for her. Noel reminds us that there’s more than one way to move forward!
