Amid Health Struggles, Phil Collins Finally Nominated for Rock Hall as Odds Favor 2026 Induction

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:58pm

Phil Collins may finally be getting his due—at a moment when many fans feel the recognition matters more than ever.

The legendary singer, drummer and songwriter has received his first-ever solo nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and early odds suggest 2026 could be his year.

Collins was previously inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010, but this marks his debut on the ballot as a solo artist. According to a new analysis from Billboard, he’s considered one of the strongest contenders in this year’s class, with even-money odds of induction, making him one of the closest things to a lock among the 17 nominees.

The nomination comes amid ongoing health challenges that have significantly limited Collins’ ability to perform in recent years. In a December 2024 documentary filmed after announcing his retirement, the 75-year-old reflected on the toll drumming had taken on his body.

“I’m 71, I’ve been playing drums all my life,” he said in the film, which was obviously filmed several years ago. “To suddenly not be able to do that is a shock.”

“The drumming has taken its toll on my hands, legs,” he added. “I just feel like I’ve used up all my air miles.”

Fans have continued to rally around the music icon. Earlier this year, his daughter Lily Collins shared a heartfelt tribute for his birthday, posting photos of the pair together and writing, “The older I get, the greater I appreciate all the little, special moments spent together.”

Despite lingering perceptions during his commercial peak in the 1980s that branded him “uncool” in some rock circles, Collins’ legacy has only grown stronger with time. From his instantly recognizable drum sound to his string of era-defining hits, he built one of the most commercially successful solo careers in modern rock history.

Other leading contenders on this year’s ballot include Oasis, Melissa Etheridge, Iron Maiden and Mariah Carey, but Collins’ decades-long influence—paired with the fact that he has never before been nominated as a solo act—may give him an edge with voters.

Billboard’s 2026 Rock Hall Induction Odds (From Least to Most Likely)

According to Billboard, here’s how the 2026 nominees stack up:

  • New Edition — 8 to 1
  • P!nk — 8 to 1
  • Billy Idol — 6 to 1
  • INXS — 6 to 1
  • Joy Division/New Order — 6 to 1
  • The Black Crowes — 6 to 1
  • Jeff Buckley — 5 to 1
  • Luther Vandross — 4 to 1
  • Shakira — 4 to 1
  • Sade — 4 to 1
  • Wu-Tang Clan — 3 to 1
  • Lauryn Hill — 3 to 1
  • Mariah Carey — 3 to 1
  • Iron Maiden — 5 to 2
  • Melissa Etheridge — 2 to 1
  • Oasis — Even money
  • Phil Collins — Even money

Inductees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026 will be announced later this year.

Audrey Hepburn's Son Claims Late Actress 'Might Cringe' At Upcoming Biopic Starring Lily Collins

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:51pm

Most fans might be altogether psyched with the upcoming release of the Audrey Hepburn-focused biopic, but the late actress's son is sharing a somewhat surprising response to the prospective film.

In a new interview with The Daily Mail, Hepburn's oldest son Sean Hepburn Ferrer has shared his candid thoughts about the new movie centered around his famed actress mother.

In his view, Ferrer said that his mother likely wouldn't be a fan of the movie's tentative title, referencing Sam Wasson's nonfiction book, Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman, from which the film will be adapted.

"I believe that my mother might cringe at [the phrase], 'dawn of the modern woman,'" Ferrer said. "But she cringed at any compliment."

Aside from the title, however, the upcoming movie has the full backing of Hepburn's son, with Ferrer going on to say he "loves" the casting of Lily Collins as the late Breakfast at Tiffany's actress.

Ferrer's comments come a few short days after Collins herself took to Instagram to share the news that she signed on to portray Hepburn.

"It's with almost 10 years of development and a life time of admiration and adoration for Audrey that I'm finally able [to] share this," she captioned her post. "Honored and ecstatic don't begin to express how I feel..."

As mentioned previously, the upcoming biopic will be based on author Sam Wasson's book, with screenwriter Alena Smith currently slated to provide the movie's official screenplay.

"Sam Wasson is a friend, and I am thrilled for him," Ferrer told The Daily Mail of the new film. "I'm happy to watch from the sidelines as long as they remain historically faithful. I am not sure how such a historical 'snap shot' might get translated into a film and therefore how relevant it might ultimately be."

Aqdzcnf Flower Table Lamp, From $24 (was $28) at Amazon

Mimicking the silhouette of the lily of the valley flower, this lamp features a gorgeous bell-shaped floral lampshade with the ruffled edge flared out. Similar to the way that lilies of the valley delicately hang, the lampshade is tilted down. However, thanks to the 360-degree flexible gooseneck, you can angle the flower lampshade in whatever direction you prefer. Tying everything together and bringing the design to life, the lamp boasts a long wispy leaf where the stem meets the flower and a few delicate ones that look as if growing from the base.

This lamp is available in eight styles. You can choose from four colors, including white, green, pink, and red, and a lampshade with or without pearls. The base is made of thickened iron, ensuring that the lamp remains sturdy and stable. For a cozy glow, the lamp shade is made of acrylic with a frosted finish, designed to soften the light.

It has three temperature settings to meet all your relaxation needs. With just the push of a button on the cord, you can choose between a white, natural, and warm light to set the mood and create the perfect ambiance. This floral lamp will arrive ready to use, as it comes with a light bulb. Whenever the bulb burns out, you can replace it with any kind that’s compatible with an E26 base.

Moroommt Wood Mushroom Lamp, $18 (was $29) at Amazon

Made from beech wood with a wood grain finish, this mushroom lamp has a rustic vibe and natural feel that adds to its cottagecore character. Magical and whimsical, this lamp also has a sprinkle of fairycore. It features a round cap adorned with large polka dots, giving it that classic mushroom look.

Measuring around 4 inches wide and tall, this lamp is small but mighty. It’ll fit and blend in anywhere in your living space, while casting a light bright enough to create a dreamy ambiance in any room. This lamp has four brightness levels that you can adjust with just the push of a button. According to shoppers, the highest setting is bright enough for reading, while the other levels are great for relaxing, unwinding, and sleeping.

As a bonus, you can easily move this lamp between rooms or even bring it while traveling because it doesn’t require a power cord. It’s powered by a 900 milliampere-hour rechargeable battery, providing up to six to eight hours of light!

“The warm, ambient glow creates a relaxing atmosphere,” one shopper raved. “Whether for reading, cozy lighting, or on-the-go use, this portable lamp is a fantastic addition anywhere!”

Because these lamps are handmade, they may slightly vary in appearance, making each piece feel unique. The lampshade has a sleek silhouette, allowing the pressed flowers and leaves to stand out on their own.

With a base made of wood and a lampshade made of linen, it also has a touch of the farmhouse aesthetic. Similar to the lily of the valley lamp above, this one also has three temperature settings (cool, neutral, and warm), comes with an E26 lightbulb, and is powered by a cord.

You can choose between four styles. It’s available in either a cylindrical or rectangular lampshade with the flower and leaf design, or a cylindrical silhouette with just leaves. ’80s New Wave Legends Say Late Lead Singer Would Be 'Proud' of Rock Hall Nod

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:33pm

1980s New Wave legends are celebrating their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination, saying their late lead singer would be “proud.”

INXS, who made a major splash in 1982 with the album Shabooh Shoobah and went on to a career high with 1987s Kick, was recognized as part of the nominated 2026 class. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors artists who released their first commercial record at least 25 years prior and have demonstrated significant musical excellence, impact, and influence on the evolution of rock music.

In an interview with Billboard, INXS co-founder Andrew Farriss shared his delight at the band's nomination. “I think everybody in the band is thrilled and excited to be nominated, and obviously we’re very much honored to have something like that.”

He continued, “It’s something, I guess, that goes into the history books, whatever they are. I never started writing songs and playing music to be in a hall of fame; that’s not why I started doing it — but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate it. I’m a little philosophical about all that; I think when something’s meant to happen, it’s going to happen in your life, whether you realize it or not."

Farriss couldn't help but remember INXS' enigmatic frontman, Michael Hutchence, who died in November 1997 at 37. He believes he would be "honored' by the nomination.

“I know he’d be honored with this,” Farriss said to Billboard. “One thing he said very early on in our career is, ‘One day I’d like to think whatever we did mattered.’ That’s something he said. I think this shows that it did. That’s pretty cool."

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are selected by a global panel that includes over 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals, along with the results of the Hall’s annual fan vote, which counts as a single ballot. Once all votes are counted, seven acts will be named to the Class of 2026.

Nancy Guthrie Latest Update: Movement at Arizona Home as 'Well-Dressed Investigators' Arrive on Scene

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:30pm

After a couple of quiet days outside Nancy Guthrie's Arizona home, reporters in the area have seen an uptick in movement. On Wednesday, Feb. 25—more than 24 hours after Nancy's daughter Savannah Guthrie announced a $1 million reward for her mom's recovery—some people showed up at Nancy's home, many "well-dressed" in suits.

"What appears to be well-dressed investigators are examining Nancy Guthrie's front walk way. Looking down and standing near the area where blood and masked suspect was," Fox News' Matt Finn wrote on X.

Finn shared another update after seeing someone inside Nancy's home.

"Someone looking out of the front window of Nancy Guthrie's home right where the Nest cam and masked suspect was. We think either investigators or attorneys are in the house," he wrote.

Similar observations were made by NewsNation's Brian Entin, who also reported that black SUVs were at Nancy's home today.

"An unmarked SUV pulled into Nancy Guthrie's garage and the door closed before we could see who got out," he wrote on X. About a half hour later, Entin noted that a "convoy of SUVs," including the one in Nancy's garage, had left the scene.

According to Fox News' Michael Ruiz, federal prosecutors were at Guthrie's house today, though he was told this is "routine."

Nancy, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities believe that Nancy was taken from her home, possibly abducted, in the middle of the night. Despite the release of images and video from Nancy's Google Nest doorbell which showed a subject in a balaclava carrying a backpack and a gun, no suspect or person of interest has been identified in the case.

Authorities are still waiting on the results from DNA samples taken inside the home, though Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said that those results could take months—or longer.

It’s Possible To Reverse Heart Failure—Here’s What That Means, According to Cardiologists

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:25pm

When you hear a word like “failure,” especially in the context of “heart failure,” it’s easy for your mind to turn dark. It sounds daunting and untreatable. Those are pretty scary thoughts (to understate it), and they often feel permanent.

Thankfully, when it comes to heart health, that’s not necessarily the case: Heart failure can be reversed. But the logistics of that are slightly complicated, since heart failure isn't a simple condition.

“When people ask whether heart failure can be reversed, the honest answer is sometimes, and the underlying reasons [for that heart failure] matter,” says Dr. Ahmed M. Seliem, MD, a clinical cardiologist, interventional cardiologist and heart failure specialist at Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care. “Heart failure isn’t one disease; it’s what happens when the heart has been injured and then remodeled itself in a harmful way over time.” Types of heart failure include systolic, diastolic, acute, chronic, left-side and right-side failure.

Have more questions now than before? That’s OK. Explaining each type of heart failure is a whole other topic, so let’s focus on what heart failure reversal is, generally speaking. Ahead, cardiologists explain what “reversing” heart failure means, steps a person can take to reverse heart failure and factors that make a reversal more likely (plus, some common misunderstandings).

What ‘Reversing’ Heart Failure Means

First and foremost, let’s clarify: “Reversing” heart failure doesn’t mean you can change your heart back to its original state or make it perfectly healthy, especially since it’s a progressive disease—but there can still be a meaningful improvement.

“More often, it means that heart function improves significantly, symptoms resolve or become mild and patients can return to normal daily activities with a good quality of life,” says Dr. Kevin Shah, MD, a board-certified cardiologist and Program Director of Heart Failure Outreach at MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, California.

Improvements can reside in the heart’s pumping ability, a decrease in symptoms (such as shortness of breath and swelling) and fewer hospitalizations.

Related: The One Thing To Do Every Single Day To Support Healthy Blood Flow, According to Cardiologists

Even if the heart improves, there’s still a risk, however, as it remains vulnerable. “We know this because when patients who have recovered stop their medications, about 40 to 50 percent relapse, even if their heart function had returned to normal,” Dr. Seliem says. “So, from a heart failure physician’s perspective, ‘reversal’ usually means ‘control and improvement,’ not ‘cure.’”

How To Reverse Heart Failure, According to Cardiologists

Dr. Amin clarifies that it’s “less about reversing heart failure and more about managing the symptoms of heart failure.” After all, heart failure doesn’t mean the heart isn’t working at all, but that it’s working less efficiently. “If a person can improve or restore their heart’s pumping function, they are more likely to have their symptoms resolve,” he says.

Diagnosing heart failure early is the first key to improving heart function and symptoms. Symptoms may include fatigue, swelling and shortness of breath

The second step focuses on treatment. “If diagnosed and properly treated, heart failure can be successfully managed,” says Dr. Sameer Amin, MD, a cardiologist and the chief medical officer at L.A. Care Health Plan. He recommends taking the appropriate medication, exercising and eating heart-healthy foods. “Treatment can allow the person to live a long and active life.”

Related: The Best Time of Day To Take Your Blood Pressure Meds To Lower Your Heart Attack Risk, According to Cardiologists

According to Dr. Shah, reversal entails treating the underlying cause, supporting the heart with medications and potentially incorporating device therapy. “That may include medications that help the heart pump more efficiently, controlling blood pressure and diabetes, reducing excess salt and fluid, improving physical activity and addressing factors like alcohol use or sleep apnea,” he says.

Some medical therapy agents Dr. Seliem mentions include beta blockers, renin-angiotensin system inhibitors or angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitors, mineralocorticoid receptor agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors. (If reading that sentence took you for a tailspin, no worries—your cardiologist will know what to do and explain your individualized treatment process). “Those therapies work together to ease strain on the heart and support healthier heart function over time,” he adds.

Plus, as he mentioned at the beginning, the cause matters. If the heart failure’s origin was a blocked artery, abnormal heart rhythm, leaky valve or toxic exposure from alcohol, removing that cause can be pivotal.

Related: Here’s What Actually Happens to Your Blood Pressure When You Drink Alcohol

“When this is done early and aggressively, patients often start to feel better, and measurable improvement in heart function usually occurs over three to six months, with the biggest gains by about a year,” he says.

Dr. Shah reports roughly the same time frame. While it depends on the underlying cause and the amount of damage, he says, some people feel better within weeks to months, and for others, meaningful improvement takes months to a year.

Other Factors That Make a Reversal More Likely

Want to understand what’s ahead for your case specifically? Totally understandable. According to Dr. Seliem, “the numbers are better than many people realize, but not miraculous.” He’s found that modern therapy helps about 60 to 70 percent of patients have some improvement. “The odds are best when heart failure is caught early, when it’s caused by something reversible like a fast heart rhythm or alcohol exposure and when patients can tolerate full doses of the medications,” he adds.

Dr. Shah shares some specific factors to note. “The likelihood of improvement depends on why the heart failure developed and how early it’s treated,” he says. “Patients whose heart failure is caused by high blood pressure, blocked arteries that can be treated or viral inflammation have a better chance of recovery.”

But again, the role of treatment is unignorable and valid, regardless. Taking medications as prescribed, keeping in touch with your healthcare provider and adjusting your lifestyle play a role in the likelihood of success

“When treatment is withdrawn, heart failure has a well-documented tendency to re-emerge,” Dr. Seliem says. “Often quietly at first, but with lasting consequences if left unchecked.”

Survivor's Jeff Probst Explains Why One Of Fans' Top Requests Will Probably Never Happen

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:17pm

Survivor built their whole milestone season 50 around what fans want to see, but one of their most common requests wasn't even an option. Now, host Jeff Probst is explaining why it probably never will be!

Related: Are Survivor’s ‘Tres Leches’ Alliance Still Friends After the Show?

The early seasons of Survivor were billed around the unique location they were filmed in, from China to Samoa to Australia and beyond. Fans loved seeing the new locations because they each came with their own unique set of challenges, from available food to wildlife to weather. These factors made it harder for castaways to plan for, and made for great TV. Unfortunately, they also created major hurdles for the production team.

"In the early seasons, we went to a new country or a new island every season," Probst told Business Insider in a Feb. 25 interview ahead of the season 50 premiere. "That's an arduous task for our team because you're essentially building a city on an island, and then you're packing everything up and putting it on big shipping crates across the ocean. And when it gets there, you take it off, and you build a new city again. So the amount of work was huge."

It also made for uncomfortable living conditions, and not just for the contestants. "Me and the crew were living in tents—little single-person tents, and then we might have modular housing on another season," he recalled. "Once, we had very tiny trailers, and I mean tiny; they were maybe 12 feet long and eight feet high, and you had a bed, and that was basically it."

Though they filmed in Fiji a few times over the years, they made it their permanent home starting with season 33 (Millennials vs. Gen X) in 2016. "Now that we've filmed in Fiji for 10 years, we have a routine," said Probst. "It doesn't change the demands of the actual show, but it does help the prep, and it gets rid of a lot of unforeseen problems."

Still, many fans miss the old format: the longer episodes and filming times (they went from 39 to 26 days beginning in 2020), the more involved rewards, and especially the changing locations.

Related: ‘Survivor’ Icon Reveals Wild Behind-The-Scenes Story That Got Him ‘Heavily Reprimanded’ by Producers

"I say it every season but particularly since #Survivor stopped changing locations, and a little since they gave up themes, all of the seasons kind of have the same monotonous look," said one fan. Another agreed, saying, "Watching the early seasons of @survivorcbs and I have to say, I really miss the days where the show traveled to different countries/locations. While gorgeous, Fiji is getting boring."

While the location isn't changing, Survivor did allow fans to vote in polls in 2025 to determine many aspects of Survivor 50: In The Hands of The Fans. Viewers will have to tune in on Wednesdays, beginning Feb. 25, to see what made the cut!

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas Tease 'Big Announcement' in Cryptic Dance Video

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:15pm

Former Dancing with the Starspair Whitney Leavittand Mark Ballas have something up their sleeve that they're not sharing with fans just yet.

In a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, Leavitt hinted at big news coming as the duo danced through a non descript hallway, however she alluded to a hint being somewhere in the clip.

"See if you can catch the hint in this video," she wrote. "CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU GUYS TO FIND OUT NEXT WEEK!"

View this post on Instagram

And fans of course, started to speculate, with most suspecting that Ballas will make his Broadway debut in 'Chicago: The Musical,' a theory that's been circulating, while Leavitt continues her extended run in the show.

"PLEASE SAY YOURE [sic] BOTH GONNA BE IN CHICAGO AT THE SAME TIME OMG," one wrote.

"Will he be joining Chicago musical for the your last week?" another hoped. "That would be amazing!!!!"

"If he’s in @chicagomusical too, I have to come back for another show!!!" a third added.

While another had a different idea, having to do with DWTS.

"You’re gonna be on DWTS as a pro!"

And some merely expressed their joy in seeing the two together.

"Ugh I love when u guys dance together," a commenter wrote.

"If Y'all dancing together count me in!" another added.

Related: 'DWTS' Pros Including Sasha Farber, Witney Carson, More Support Whitney Leavitt in 'Chicago'

Rumors have swirled about Ballas joining the cast of the longtime running musical since January as he's frequently posted from New York City.

This week, Reddit users also agreed with the idea of him joining Leavitt on stage, as he's continued to post about "work" in the Big Apple.

"I think he’s going to be the next Billy Flynn in Chicago since the current person playing him contract is up," an internet sleuth wrote. "And this is around the time the new cast starts rehearsing and they haven’t announced the new Billy Flynn yet. And I don’t see any other job that keeps him in nyc for over two weeks now."

Leavitt, who made it to the semi-finals on Season 34 of the ballroom dance competition show, quickly became a fan favorite during the show's airing. As for her making her Broadway debut, Ballas himself may have manifested the idea as the two danced a tango to the show's iconic song "Cell Block Tango" during the competition.

Since taking the stage, Leavitt has received support, not only from fans right at the beginning, as opening night was sold out, but her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-stars plus DWTS pros have taken to the audience to support her.

Perhaps the pros will be returning if Ballas scored the part.

Johnsonville Launches New Dr. Pepper-Inspired Sausages

Julie Andrews

This week, Johnsonville announced a partnership with Dr Pepper to debut its classic smoked sausages and brats infused with the signature flavors of the iconic soda. According to the press release, the meaty new product is "a completely original, never-before-tasted mashup that's prompting equal parts intrigue, excitement, and disbelief. Is it a culinary innovation or a sign of the apocalypse? That debate is already underway—but one thing is certain: people are talking, and America is ready to take a bite."

When Johnsonville first brought the news to fans in the fall of 2025, they were divided, claiming "Sheboygan can no longer be trusted," poking fun at the hometown of the famous sausage company. Others stated, "This is a horror that no one even asked for," and "Not even mad. Just deeply, cosmically confused." Meanwhile, others exclaimed, "What a time to be alive," and "Yes. I want one rn actually." Johnsonville is embracing the divisiveness, stamping these messages right on its shipping boxes and adding them to its slogan: "The reactions are as inspired as the flavor."

I Tried Dr Pepper-Inspired Johnsonville Sausages

Julie Andrews

When I was offered samples of the new smoked sausages, I couldn't turn them down. With the internet buzzing with horror and excitement, and as a lifelong Dr Pepper fan (I never turn down a Zero) and a former Wisconsinite, I simply had to be one of the first to give it a try. After all, I have always been a fan of pork slow-cooked in Dr Pepper, brisket slathered in Dr Pepper barbecue sauce and Dr Pepper-flavored baked beans—so how bad could this be?

When I opened the box, I was greeted with a collection of eye-catching merch--an "I tried it" Dr Pepper/Johnsonville tote, a "swalty" ballcap, highlighting the sweet and salty collab, and a few drink coozies adorned with "Is it soda? Is it sausage?" on one side and "Yes." on the other side. Plus, a kit filled with Hawaiian hot dog buns, snacks, and toppings that showcase or enhance the 23 "secret" flavors that make Dr Pepper special—sour cherry spread, hot honey barbecue sauce, Tajin chili lime seasoning, cherry Pop Rocks, Takis and Funyuns. Not a bad spread, eh?

My Honest Opinion About New Johnsonville Dr Pepper-Inspired Sausages

Julie Andrews

I got to work and fired up the grill pan, and after several minutes over the heat, the links were beautifully caramelized and sizzling. I tried my first one plain to get the full effect, and it didn't disappoint. It's extremely juicy with that trademark snap when you bite into it, giving way to a sweet, spiced and smoky interior. The hallmark Dr Pepper flavors of cherry, cola, orange and almond really stuck out to me, with a generous amount of sweetness from molasses.

For the second round, I stuffed it into a steamed bun and piled on the included condiments, with a few Funyons for crunch and Pop Rocks for fizz, and the flavors played up the sausage's built-in notes, creating a unique bite with a little heat on the finish. It's unexpected, yes, but surprisingly balanced, especially if you lean into the accompaniments and treat it like the backyard cookout conversation starter it's clearly meant to be. (I had to pinch myself while trying this—is this really my job?)

I get the initial confusion—maybe even skepticism—that came with the announcement of this unexpected mashup between Johnsonville and Dr Pepper. Soda-infused sausage isn't exactly a backyard classic, and if you're not a "sweet meat" fan, this might not be your jam. But after tasting it for myself, I can say this—it works. The sweetness is powerful, the fruity and cola flavors are balanced, and that signature snap and juiciness deliver everything you want from a premium sausage. Give it a fair shot, starting March 1, and you might find this quirky collaboration climbing surprisingly high on your list of cookout favorites.

Melissa Etheridge Says It’s 'Nice to Be Seen' After Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nomination

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:14pm

Melissa Etheridge has shared that "it's really nice to be seen" after learning she was among 17 performers on the ballot for induction into the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, the same day nominees were announced, Etheridge spoke to Billboard about her first-ever nomination.

"It’s great to finally be in the room, and the rest is up to the voters," she began. "I think it means a lot more to my friends and family around me, ’cause they’ve been kind of going, ‘What’s wrong with these people?!’ for a long time."

"But it’s really nice to be seen," she added. "As a musician, you hope that your work has a lasting impression and you hope that you’re still actively participating on rocking people. So it feels really good."

Etheridge has been in the music industry since the late '80s, releasing her eponymous debut album in 1988. She'd win her first Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single, "Ain't It Heavy," from her third studio album, Never Enough.

However, it would be her fourth record, 1993's Yes I Am, that would put her on the map. The album featured the hit songs "I'm the Only One," "If I Wanted To," and "Come to My Window," the latter of which earned her the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.

Etheridge is planning to release her new album, Rise, this March, her first studio record in five years. Speaking with Billboard about her upcoming release, she shared, "And I do have the new album coming out, so that’s lovely synchronicity. I think I’m very blessed with that. Hopefully it will help with the new album, which I think is very grounded in what people call country-rock now — that’s the name of what ’90s rock n’ roll used to sound like. It’s very in that vein. I want it to become a real part of the Etheridge repertoire."

This year's nominees represent an incredibly talented and diverse group of artists who have shaped generations of music. Besides Etheridge, the 2026 ballot includes The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley,Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Lauryn Hill, Billy Idol, INXS, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, New Edition, Oasis, P!NK, Shakira, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan.

The 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class will be revealed in April.

Popular 1984 Track Named 'Best Love Song' by a Heavy Metal Band

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 1:08pm

When thinking about a love song, a rock band is the last thing most would expect, with more than a few big names having released ballads that became relationship favorites. In 1984, the hard rock band Scorpions released the track "Still Loving You," which topped the charts.

"Still Loving You" was released as the band's second single from their ninth studioalbum titled Love at First Sting. Loudwire compiled a list of the most memorable and best love songs by heavy metal bands, with the 1984 track as one of the top contenders.

The song gained notable fame during its release, reaching No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and becoming popular across Europe. Loudwire detailed the song as having "slow-burning verses, the subtle build-up, and the eventual explosion into a chorus." Its lyrics speak of winning back someone's love and making changes to keep the relationship alive if given a second chance.

Lead vocalist Klaus Meine sings the emotional ballad, with the original melody having been composed by Rudolf Schenker. "Still Loving You" has some developmental backstory, with the song having been made years before, in 1976, by Schenker. At the time, it was rejected by the lead guitarist at the time, Uli Jon Roth, for being too commercial.

It wasn't until years later, when Meine added the lyrics and the song was completed, that it was deemed worthy of release. When it came to the inspiration behind the lyrics, Schenker revealed it was about a love affair, and the couple recognizing their relationship might be over, but still wanting to try again.

The official music video doesn't have much in terms of visual storytelling, having been filmed during a Scorpions concert at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas. Meine is seen singing the lyrics under stage lights alongside the band.

The list of "best love songs" by a metal band also includes Ozzy Osbourne's "Mama, I'm Coming Home," with the lyrics in reference to his wife Sharon and her influence in his life. Judas Priest's "Love Bites," Type O Negative's "Love You To Death," Pantera's "This Love," and more are also listed. Deviating from past rock hits, the list deviates to included "Life Eternal" by the Swedish rock band Ghost.

'Golden Girls' Writer Reveals Hidden Health Struggles of Estelle Getty: 'I Was Very Protective of Her'

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 12:59pm

While numerous factors helped establish The Golden Girlsas a classic of '80s and '90s television, one key aspect that set the series apart was the undeniable chemistry between its lead co-stars, both on and off screen.

As an extension of this unique characteristic, Golden Girls writer Stan Zimmerman recently revealed that actress Betty White went out of her way to help her co-star Estelle Getty contend with an early health crisis – something very few people, including Zimmerman, knew about at the time.

In his new book The Girls: From Golden to Gilmore, Zimmerman opened up about his experiences working behind the scenes at The Golden Girls, among several other shows. The series, which aired on NBC from 1985 until 1992, famously followed four elderly women living in Miami, with its main stars including White, Getty, Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur.

As brilliant as the four lead star's rapport was on camera, Zimmerman said that filming for the beloved sitcom wasn't without its fair share of issues, including the fact that Getty was dealing with a private battle with early signs of dementia.

Because of her ailing health, Zimmerman claimed that Getty would occasionally forget her lines during filming, leading White to improvise and entertain the audience as a distraction.

"You would see her mess up her lines, and obviously they'll yell, 'Cut!' and then Betty White would start making jokes and go up to the audience, in the bleachers," Zimmerman said.

"Bea Arthur didn't like that, because she felt like you stay in character... and I would get mad thinking that [Betty] was making fun of Estelle," the writer continued. "I was very protective, like, 'You don't.' So for years, I didn't like them laughing at her."

"Now, I kind of look at it like, 'What if Betty was going up there to draw attention to herself to give Estelle the time to work on the lines and get through it?'" Zimmerman concluded. "And it was the beginning of the relationship. I mean, I could see how years later, where it could get kind of annoying, but at that point, they were saying every word we wrote."

'Love Is Blind': Alex Henderson Apologizes to Tim Howard And David Beckham

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 12:58pm

Alex Henderson talked about pursuing a career in soccer on Love Is Blind Season 10. His dream was cut short after getting drafted because of his fourth knee surgery. Alex continued to be confident and gave his unfiltered opinions about professional players, Tim Howard and David Beckham. One of them responded to his comment and asked for a public apology.

Alex Says His Tim Howard Comment Is His Lowest Love Is Blind Moment

Netflix

Howard is the goalie for Team USA, and his daughters watch the Netflix show. He gave a direct message to the former athlete. "I know you’re a fan, and I have this on good authority. So all I’ll say is, we can make everything right with the world, and you just issue a public apology on whatever platform you’re on," Howard said on his podcast, "Unfiltered Soccer." He said he'll accept the apology in advance. His cohost suspected Alex made the comment to impress his fiancée.

Alex responded on his Instagram Story with a video on February 24. "Alright, Tim Howard, first and foremost I apologize," he said. "Candidly, that is one of my lowest moments on this show is calling that out. I don't think that that's true. I think you are one of the greatest U.S. national team goal keepers of all time. As a goal keeper I understand our culture. I'm not going to try to explain what I was really saying there. It's an egregious mistake and I think you're handling with class."

Alex got engaged to Ashley Carpenter. They talked on the beach in Cabo in episode 6, and soccer came up while they made their list of travel destinations. "I don't want to do Portugal," Alex said. "It's where [Cristiano] Ronaldo was born, sorry." Ashley asked where goalie, Tim Howard, was born. "I met him already," Alex said. "He's a weirdo." Ashley said soccer players are weird except for Beckham. "He's not even good," Alex said.

The day trader also addressed his comment about Beckham in the same video. "I respect the fact that you are a phenomenal football player, can take an incredible set piece. And you're one of the best passers of the ball that there ever was," he said.

Alex is one of the more controversial participants this season. Fans were confused by his bold comments and his past name change. They'll have to wait and see if he and Ashley will say yes at the altar.

Neve Campbell & Courtney Cox's Salaries for 'Scream 7' Revealed

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 12:56pm

In the world of horror, it seems that being "Final Girl" finally pays, literally. After a rocky few years of casting shake-ups and behind-the-scenes drama, Scream 7 is officially making its way to theaters, and it is doing so with a very familiar face leading the charge. Legacy star Neve Campbell will once again be seen going head-to-head with her ultimate nemesis: Ghostface. But one of the most revealing stories is not about the battle between the two; it is about value, legacy, and the price of bringing horror royalty back home.

According to a recent report by Varietythe production houses behind the upcoming installment in the Scream franchise, Paramount and Spyglass, had to shell out big bucks to bring Campbell back to the franchise, signaling just how crucial her return was to restore the series' original legacy. The report indicates that the actor is reportedly taking home a $7 million paycheck to reprise her role of Sidney Prescott. Meanwhile, longtime co-star Courteney Cox earned around $2 million for reprising her role as Gale Weathers.

Surprisingly, the pay gap between the "legacy" leads is quite wide. While $2 million is nothing to sneeze at, the $5 million difference between the two icons highlights Campbell's unique leverage in this specific negotiation. While her salary doesn't come close to Emily Blunt's reported $12-$13 million payday for A Quiet Place Part II, it still represents a major shift in how the franchise values its original star.

Even box office analysts and experts believe that Campbell's return would definitely make a section of moviegoers feel reassured about the franchise’s direction. "Neve Campbell is to ‘Scream’ what Jamie Lee Curtis is to the ‘Halloween’ franchise. She’s a big draw, especially for older generations who grew up with the original films," Shawn Robbins, director of movie analytics at Fandango and founder of Box Office Theory, told Variety.

Ghostface in "Scream VII"

Paramount Pictures

When Neve Campbell walked away from the sixth film, it wasn't just a contract dispute; it was a line in the sand. By rejecting an offer she felt was a lowball, she turned a private negotiation into a public stand for professional respect. She was vocal about the fact that if she were a man who had anchored a massive franchise for decades, the numbers would have looked very different.

The contrast between past negotiations and current paychecks also reflects a broader Hollywood reality: nostalgia now carries measurable box-office value. In an industry where horror often doesn't get its due, these staggering numbers prove that Scream is still one of the rare franchises powerful enough to command both cultural relevance and serious financial investment decades after its debut.

Scream 7 is scheduled to hit theaters in the US on February 27, 2026.

Grace Kelly’s Granddaughter Camille Gottlieb Looks Just Like Her Legendary Grandmother

Wed, 02/25/2026 - 12:55pm

Camille Gottlieb has inherited her grandmother, Grace Kelly's, good looks.

The Monaco-based content creator, who is the daughter of Princess Stéphanieof Monaco and Jean Raymond Gottlieb, frequently takes to social media to show just how similar she looks to her legendary grandmother. Kelly, of course, was an American actress and Princess of Monaco thanks to her marriage to Prince Rainier III. While Kelly tragically died in a car accident in 1982, her legacy lives on forever, particularly due to her tremendous contribution to film. She earned acclaim for her roles in Alfred Hitchcock's classics Dial M for MurderRear Window, and To Catch a Thief.

Kelly will also go down in history as a style icon, and from the looks of it, Gottlieb has inherited that trait as well. Gottlieb recently took to social media to share a few winter snaps, and with her long blonde hair and pink lips, she's a dead ringer for her stunning grandmother.

She Recreated One of Her Grandmother's Most Famous Looks

Back in July, Gottlieb wore a gown similar to the one that Kelly wore in Alfred Hitchcock‘s iconic 1954 film Rear Window. Dressed to the nines for the 76th Red Cross Ball in Monaco, Gottlieb looked absolutely stunning.

“When I was very little, I was often told that I looked like my grandmother,” Gottlieb told French publication Galawhile getting ready for the big event. “To me, it’s one of the best compliments I could ever receive.”

In the photo's caption, originally written in French, Gottlieb wrote, “Thanks to [Elisabetta Franchi] was able to pay tribute to my grandmother with this magnificent dress.”

Her Dreams of Meeting Her Grandmother

While Gottlieb never got to meet her grandmother due to her untimely death, she has heard endless stories about her wit from her own mother.

"For me, she is above all my mother's mother. I would really have liked to know her and talk with her. From what my mother tells me, from what we hear, she was a very funny person, with ideas, who had character and who was a very admirable person on all levels," Gottlieb told Vanity Fair last year, Tatler reported.
