'Sex and the City' Star Jason Lewis Reveals He's Been Writing an 'Epic Fantasy' Book Series

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 3:38pm

It's been almost three years since actor Jason Lewis, who famously played Jerrod Smith in Sex and the City, stepped back from Hollywood. Last week, the actor returned to social media, teasing that something huge is coming, and now reveals it's his own book series.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lewis lets fans know that he's been in Costa Rica the past few years writing on a nine-book "epic fantasy" series. It will be a first for the now actor-turned-writer, who left the spotlight to pursue his dream.

Lewis has dedicated three years to living in the tropical area, waking up at 4 a.m., learning Spanish, and working on authoring three interconnected book trilogies. Each trilogy is set within a different era in the same universe, with Lewis explaining, "It's my own magic system based more in physics than the soft magic of casting spells and stuff like that."

He admits that his books are more Lord of the Ringsthan Harry Potter, and the use of magic is more rooted in physics. When it comes to future readers, Lewis says that understanding physics isn't a requirement.

"It’s not necessary for the reading. It’s just that when you’re creating fantasy or even science fiction, there’s a fine line between hard science or hard magic and soft magic. For me, I wanted to understand the hard magic of it, but it’s not a lecture on physics. It’s magic," he said.

View this post on Instagram

When it came to creating the series, he went the unconventional route and started with the seventh book. Being a fan ofStar Wars is what sparked the idea of "Oh yeah, let's just do this in reverse." He plans to release the seventh book first and is already on a fourth draft.

Lewis calls the first trilogy an "idealistic tale," and "the middle one is when good intentions go terrible, when you become the monster so the monster can’t hurt you. And the last one is more of a redemption story. A more realistic worldview of doing our best with what’s handed to us."

The actor-turned-author sticks to a routine and wakes up early, goes for a run on the beach, and pours himself a cup of coffee before hitting the desk. He spends his day writing 1,000 to 2,000 words as his goal, and reveals he doesn't have a publisher yet. His desire to write came from a "'what do I need, what do I want' design-of-life list." Lewis admits that his recent Instagram post was to start a collaboration with his audience and future fans.

1994 Movie That Flopped at the Box Office Was Just Named the Most Important Film of the ’90s

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 3:21pm

1990s movie buffs saw their fair share of fantastic theatrical debuts. Collider recently released a ranking of the "10 most important movies" from the era, highlighting beloved '90s films, like 1993'sJurassic Park, Pulp Fiction from 1994, and Fargo, released in 1996.

The publication's list, released on May 25, named the 1994 film The Shawshank Redemption as "the most important '90s movie that define the decade." Collider complimented the movie, adapted from Stephen King's 1982 novella, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, for its sheer likability.

The Shawshank Redemption has a score of 89 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 82 on Metacritic.

Morgan Freeman Addressed the 1994 Film's Lack of Box Office Success

When The Shawshank Redemption came out in theaters, it didn't make much of a splash. According to Box Office Mojo, the film, which had a budget of $25,000,000, grossed a total of $28,751,504 worldwide.

During a panel in reflection of the beloved film at the 2024 TCM Film Festival, alongside his Shawshank Redemption co-star, Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman addressed the fact that the movie was a box-office flop. He theorized that the title of the movie may have contributed to its initial lack of popularity.

"Well, it was originally Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption, but then they shortened it to something that no one could say, right? And I wondered about that. And I said to the marketers, 'Why? Why did you do that?' And they said, 'Well, it didn't fit on the marquee,'" said the actor, who played Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding. "'Okay, but you got one sheets. That'll work, won't it?' But you know what happened with that movie? It didn't do well in the box office, simply because the best way to sell anything is word of mouth. And nobody could really get out past 'Shemshank [sic].'"

While sitting on the panel, Robbins, who starred as Andy Dufresne, also shared why he believed the film has remained so beloved.

"I have a feeling it has to do with the idea that there's a great friendship and love that happens in the film, and I don't think we see a lot of films like that. Usually friendships are bonded around car chases and chasing skirts and stuff, but this is a genuine friendship and adult love for each other. And maybe people need to see that," said Robbins before an audience.

He also said that viewers of the film can identify with the feeling of being trapped, even if they have never experienced life in prison, like Red and Andy.

"We all, no matter whether we're in prison or not, we all have things that put us in prison, whether it's a s--t job or a bad relationship or whatever," surmised the Jacob's Ladder actor.

Life can be unpredictable, and having a backup supply of food on hand can make stressful situations feel a lot more manageable. Whether it’s severe weather, a power outage, travel delays, or even temporary grocery shortages, non-perishable meals help provide peace of mind. One of the easiest ways to prepare without overthinking it is with a pre-made emergency food kit.

A great option that’s especially affordable right now is the ReadyWise 120-Serving Emergency Food Supply. It’s currently on sale for 59% off at Walmart, bringing the price down from $180 to just $74. For a kit that includes a wide variety of meals and long-term storage benefits, it’s a surprisingly strong value.

This kit is designed to provide a mix of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beverage options so you’re not stuck eating the same thing repeatedly. Inside, you’ll find items like pancake mix, beans and rice, cereal, soups, pasta dishes, and other hearty meal options.

Each pouch contains between six and 16 servings, which helps make the kit flexible for families, couples, or individuals. Altogether, the bucket provides a total of 120 servings. Since the meals are freeze-dried, they’re lightweight, shelf-stable, and easy to store for long periods of time.

One of the biggest selling points is the shelf life. The food is designed to last up to 25 years when stored properly, and none of it requires refrigeration. That makes it convenient not just for emergencies, but also for cabins, RVs, garages, basements, or vacation properties where you want reliable backup supplies on hand.

The meals come packaged inside a sturdy bucket with a carrying handle, making transportation and storage simple. It’s also peanut-free, which is especially helpful for households managing allergies. Instead of having to piece together dozens of separate pantry items, everything is already organized in one compact container.

With more than 150 five-star ratings, shoppers seemed impressed by both the quality and variety. One reviewer shared, “All of the food tastes great! It also contains a variety of foods and my kids love the food, too.”

Another reviewer called it a “great value for the number of servings in the bucket,” writing, “We keep this on hand for extended power outages and other emergency needs. Hearty food is a necessity in difficult times and having this gives me comfort knowing we won't be hungry.”

While emergency preparedness is the obvious use, this kind of kit can also be surprisingly practical for everyday situations. It works well for camping trips, fishing weekends, backpacking adventures, and long road trips where access to restaurants or grocery stores might be limited. Since the meals are lightweight and easy to prepare, they’re convenient for outdoor use.

It can also act as a low-effort pantry backup at home. Keeping shelf-stable meals around means you’ll always have something available on nights when cooking feels impossible or when your fridge is running low. Because the shelf life is so long, there’s far less pressure to use everything quickly compared to traditional groceries.

58 Years Ago, This Classic Rock Band Released Their First of Many Hit Singles Before Breaking Up

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 3:06pm

Creedence Clearwater Revival was a classic rock band formed in 1968. They went on to have nine top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 38 years ago today, the band released their debut album, which contained a cover of “Susie Q.”

The song, which was originally performed by Dale Hawkins in 1957, was written about the daughter of Stan Lewis, the owner of Jewel/Paula Records at the time. It has catchy lyrics like, “I like the way you walk, I like the way you talk. I like the way you walk, I like the way you talk, Susie Q.”

Creedence Clearwater Revival released their own version of the song in 1968, changing the spelling to "Suzie Q." This was their only Top 40 hit that wasn’t written by their lead singer, John Fogerty. It reached No. 11 on the Billboard charts.

Despite the band's massive amount of success and the fact that their music is still popular on the radio to this day, Creedence Clearwater Revival disbanded in 1972. When speaking with Guitar Player in 2024, Fogerty spoke about the troubles he had with the band.

Related: 1964 Beatles Cover Became a Hit That Paul McCartney Was ‘Honored By’ 62 Years Ago

The singer explained that in 1970, when they were preparing to make their sixth studio album, his bandmates held a meeting. “Everyone was demanding, 'We want to all write songs, and we want to make up our own parts on the records' — that sort of thing. And it was basically an ultimatum," he said.

However, he believed that he was the reason so many songs became hits. “I don’t think we would’ve found any success some other way had I not written any songs or had someone else been the lead singer,” he said. “Me and the fellas would’ve been playing down at a local club somewhere until the moment the wives all started saying, ‘Well, you better get a real job now.’”

He continued, “At some point human beings are the way they are. They get jealous of that guy getting the attention, or they want to try doing what he’s doing. But that’s why there’s just one quarterback on a good team.”

Fogerty turns 81 years old today, on May 28.

Anthropologie's Top-Rated Netted Jelly Mules Are the 'Easy to Wear' Slides You'll Slip On All Summer

Jelly shoes immediately unlock a very specific part of my brain. One second I'm minding my business, and the next I'm remembering the tiny plastic sandals I wore as a kid that somehow matched every outfit and gave me at least one blister every summer. Worth it? Absolutely. Jelly shoes were a whole experience—colorful, shiny and, yeah, a little squeaky.

Then the late '90s and early 2000s rolled around, and jelly shoes came back with a vengeance. Suddenly they had platforms, chunkier soles and a much stronger hold on my fashion choices. And now they're back yet again because fashion loves a full-circle moment.

Which brings me to Anthropologie's Bibi Lou Netted Jelly Mules, which might be the cutest version yet. They have all the nostalgic charm of the shoes you obsessed over as a kid, but with a grown-up twist that doesn't make you feel like you raided a toy store. It's proof that some trends deserve as many comebacks as they want.

These mules come in five different colorways: rose (shown above), clear, black, white and burgundy. They're so simple yet chic that I personally want them in every single hue.

The slip-on style makes them ridiculously easy—no buckles, straps or effort required. They've also got a cork insole, which adds a little extra comfort and keeps them from feeling like those stiff plastic shoes we all wore when we were younger.

Shoppers across multiple age demographics are absolutely loving these, with the Bibi Lou Netted Jelly Mules getting mostly five-star reviews.

"These jellies are so soft and comfortable, says a customer in their review. "No pinching, rubing or uncomfortable jelly rubbing."

Another shopper is fully embracing the jelly shoes comeback, buying multiple pairs.

"I've always loved jellies, and these are a great pair at just the right price," they wrote. "They're surprisingly comfortable, and the cork sole adds nice grip. They feel sturdy yet breezy and lightweight. I bought the clear pair, which looks almost crystal with a slight bluish tint in the sun. I loved them enough to order a second pair in black. These will definitely be my go-to shoes this summer."

Select sizes are already sold out, so grab your pair before these disappear from Anthropologie's stock.

Ben & Jerry's Addresses Future of Stephen Colbert's Ice Cream After ‘Late Show’ Ends

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 2:58pm

While Stephen Colbert's time as host of The Late Show has come to an end, his popular ice cream won't be going anywhere.

In 2007, AmeriCone Dream ice cream by Ben & Jerry's officially debuted, becoming an instant hit. So, with the show's cancellation, it had many fans worried that the flavor might be retired soon.

However, that's not the case at all.

“The flavor is a top 10 and is going nowhere!” a representative for the brand told PEOPLE.

Colbert's final episode of The Late Show aired on Thursday, May 21, closing things out in the iconic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. He took over from David Letterman in 2015.

"I hope they laughed. I hope they felt better at the end of the day," Colbert said when speaking with PEOPLE before his final show about how he wants to be remembered. "I mean, that's it. We're there. We're the last thing you see. A lot of things happen in a day, but we bat last, and so we get the last take that people hear before they go to bed, and I hope it made their day better."

However, despite the show's success, CBS made the decision to pull it, noting it as "purely a financial decision."

Ben & Jerry's celebrated Colbert's historic run, sharing a post on May 20 with their family memories.

"We’ll think of you every time we follow a caramel swirl towards a chocolate-covered waffle cone piece," the Instagram read. "From the American flag pint we unveiled back in 2007 to today’s brand new look, we’re proud to have partnered with Stephen for 19 years and counting. Here’s to 19 more as a top-10 flavor! Legendary ’90s Rocker Announces Exclusive Collaboration Amid 2026 Tour

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 2:48pm

Wes Borland, the iconic guitarist and co-founder of '90s nu-metal group Limp Bizkit, has secured an epic guitar collaboration with Jackson Guitars amid the band's 2026 tour. The exciting news was shared Wednesday afternoon via Instagram, thrilling longtime fans and guitarists alike.

The design of Borland's signature model was directly inspired by his iconic custom King V, which he famously altered from a left-handed to a right-handed guitar. The new model features a Seymour Duncan Invader SH8 bridge humbucker, described as a "high-output ceramic powerhouse that crushes with massive low-end chunk while maintaining razor-sharp clarity"—a sonic intensity engineered to mirror Borland's signature sound.

Borland has previously shared his praise for the company, stating that he appreciates their historical ability to push boundaries with their craftsmanship. "Jackson is fun," Borland noted. "The over-the-top, shred-a-copter shapes and my outrageous stage costumes pushing the boundaries, this fits in more with that. The way people dress, it affects how you behave, and I think it also changes how I play guitar."

Jackson Guitars' Product Development Manager, Peter Wichers, recently expressed his excitement regarding the landmark collaboration, uplifting Borland as a uniquely influential figure in the nu-metal genre while reflecting on the process of designing the instrument.

"Wes Borland is unlike anyone else in nu-metal—nobody looks or sounds like him," said Wichers. "When our artist rep Mike Tempesta introduced Wes to some Jackson Custom Shop guitars, he picked a left-handed King V and modded it for his right-hand playing, which left the headstock logo upside down. He loved it, so we kept it. That happy accident became one of the most iconic details of the whole build. Being involved in the development of his Signature King V has been an incredibly cool project, and I think that shows in every inch of this guitar."

The new Pro Series Signature Wes Borland King V KV is now available for purchase on Jackson Guitars' official website.

Barack Obama Found the One Hilarious Way to Torturously ‘Bully’ Steven Spielberg

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 2:45pm

Ahead of the highly anticipated film Disclosure Day, StevenSpielberg made his third-ever podcast appearance on Wednesday with IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson.

He revealed that former President BarackObama visited the film’s set without most of the cast’s knowledge.

“The kids didn't know Barack, except from what he's done for the world and who he represents,” Spielberg said. “And I have a very extroverted cast. You could hear a pin drop when he walked in.”

Adding “It was a bit of a religious experience” for the film’s stars. The Disclosure Day ensemble cast includes EmilyBlunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, EveHewson, Wyatt Russell, and Colman Domingo.

The upcoming sci-fi thriller follows a race to expose the global government conspiracy hiding proof of extraterrestrial life. It is Spielberg’s latest feature film since The Fabelmans in 2022.

The Jaws director added that this was the first set the former president had ever been on. Despite giving him an inside look at filming, Spielberg has kept the final film under wraps.

The podcast co-host and former first lady, MichelleObama, revealed her husband’s frustration with not receiving an early screening. Adding that he “is a bully” when it involves Spielberg’s films.

This didn’t seem to be the first time the E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial director had heard Barack Obama’s disappointment.

“He said if he wasn't among the first to see it, he was gonna watch it only on an iPhone,” Spielberg said. “And he said he wouldn't watch it horizontally; he'd only watch it vertically.”

“Which he knows would irritate you,” Obama responded. Her brother and co-host Craig Robinson chimed in, “Oh, that's not nice.”

Soon, audiences (including the former president) will be able to see Spielberg’s latest film. Disclosure Day will hit the big screen on June 12, 2026.

'Criminal Minds: Evolution' Boss on Not a 'Dry Eye' After Killing Off a Fan-Favorite Character

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 2:42pm

As if there isn’t enough grief on Criminal Minds: Evolution, in Episode 2 of Season 19, which premiered today, there’s another death of a fan-favorite character. Last season saw the loss of JJ’s (A.J. Cook) husband Will (Josh Stewart) and this season, it’s the death of Luke Alvez’s (Adam Rodriguez) beloved Belgian Shepherd Roxy.

For many, the loss of a human and a dog aren’t equated, but viewers have to take into account how special Roxy was to Luke. She saved his life when he was at a mental crossroads trying to adapt to civilian life, and her death from a tumor resulted in his coming home to an empty house.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

“It was a devastating character loss for sure,” showrunner Erica Messer exclusively told Parade. “It really kicks off a great season for Adam, and a different kind of loss than what JJ had the year before. I think it’s a universal loss. Any of us who have lost pets, we can all immediately go back to what that was for us when that happened. There was not a dry eye in the read through. Everybody was crying. It was really sad.”

As someone who watches television and is constantly yelling at the screen, “not the dog,” it was clear from the first moment that Luke appeared at the cemetery and flashed back to speaking with the doctor – who turned out to be a vet – that it was going to be his beloved canine.

The episode, written by longtime Criminal Minds staffer Breen Frazier did tie in Roxy’s death with the case of the week in which the unsub also had suffered from a brain tumor and it was Luke's experience with Roxy that sent him on the right track in locating the unsub.

Roxy was introduced in Season 12 and we saw Luke take Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) to task when she tried to give Roxy treats because he had her on a special diet, trying to give her the healthiest life possible.

“I’ll tell you at the beginning of the next season, we’re putting the pressure on him to get a new dog,” Messer added. “Season 19, he remains in mourning for Roxy, which also feels like that happens. But we all here behind the scenes want a puppy on set. So, we’re like, ‘how can we do it?’”

Criminal Minds: Evolution began streaming new episodes today exclusively on Paramount+, with new episodes dropping each Thursday through the season finale on July 23. There are 10 episodes this season.

Why Did Young MC, Morris Day, and C+C Music Factory Back Out of the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair?

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 2:32pm

On Wednesday, Freedom 250 revealed a list of stars who will perform at the Trump-backed Great American State Fair. But now it looks like a few acts, including Young MC, Morris Day and The Time, and C+C Music Factory, won’t participate in the 16-day event on the National Mall.

What Is the Great American State Fair?

Freedom 250 organized the massive Washington, D.C. festival in celebration of the country’s 250th birthday this July 4th. Slated to go from June 25 through July 10, the Great American State Fair will feature performers, national theme pavilions, a 110-foot Ferris wheel, themed days, and plenty more.

Who Will and Won’t Perform At the Great American State Fair?

The initial list of special guests, speakers, and musical icons who were set to perform at the festival included Martina McBride, Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, The Commodores, Bret Michaels, Flo Rida, Morris Day and The Time, Young MC, and C+C Music Factory.

Even though Freedom 250 just released this list on Wednesday, May 27, by Thursday, some of the acts had already decided it was a no-go. And it’s no surprise that politics are at the center of this controversy.

Legendary “Bust a Move” rapper Young MC pulled the plug on his performance, sharing on Facebook, “I have informed my agents that I will not be performing at the Freedom 250 event. The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event. And despite the claims by the organizers that the event is non-partisan, SPIN magazine describes it as Trump-backed. I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically charged.

Likewise, Morris Day and The Time also took to Facebook, posting this statement, “Contrary to rumor, Morris Day & The Time will not be performing at the Great American State Fair” along with, “It’s A No For Me.”

But it didn’t stop there. C+C Music Factory’s Freedom Williams (in a lengthy rant from his bathroom) posted a video on Instagram, “I just got some texts all day, I’ve kind of been out of the loop. ‘You doing the Trump Freedom show? Yo, you doing the show on the 250th anniversary of the U.S. with Donald Trump?’ I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’”

After an, um, let's just say, spirited explanation that he has absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump, Williams goes on to explain that his agent called him a few months ago, asking him to do a show in Washington, D.C. Of course, he said yes. But at the time, his agent didn't mention Trump. After learning about the political affiliation, Williams backed out of the event.

The C+C Music Factory performer kept going, making it clear that he also had plenty to say about his critics who are trying to “cancel” him and politicians in general. And that’s not even the half of it!

The Herschel Heritage Duffel's weather-resistant construction is a top feature for shoppers. Rain or shine, you can trust that your clothes, shoes, and precious travel gadgets will stay dry. The fabric feels sturdy and more unique than your standard duffel — one reviewer even called it "neat and not standard." The attention to detail is classic Herschel, with a minimal look and that signature heritage style.

Packing is a breeze thanks to the U-shaped top zipper. It opens up wide, making it easy to see everything inside and grab what you need. That means no more rooting around in a dark bag for your last clean sock. Reviewers love the convenient access. As one happy customer put it, "the top zip opens up and allows for really nice access to the inside compartment."

Size-wise, this duffel is ideal for quick trips. It's compact enough to fit in an overhead bin or toss in the back seat. But thanks to a 37-liter capacity, it's still roomy enough for a couple of changes of clothes, your shoes, and those weekend trip essentials. One reviewer, a self-described "tall guy with big feet," noted it's perfect for short trips, though if you're packing for a longer adventure, you might want to size up.

Another shopper called the bag "husband-approved," noting that it "fits a lot" and has "really nice access" with all the pockets. If you’re on the hunt for a fun yet practical Father’s Day, birthday, or graduation gift, this is a great option that won’t break the bank.

A third shopper raved about the “beautiful design,” adding that it’s “convenient for a weekend trip or to use as a carry-on."

A few users did note that they wish the shoulder strap had an extra pad like other Herschel duffels. But with sturdy handles and a lightweight build, most find it comfortable enough for airport dashes and city strolls alike.

Why 'Perfect Match' Fans Think Ally and Hashim's Clip Went Too Far

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 2:07pm

Season 4 of Perfect Match showed Ally Lewber and Jimmy Presnell matched repeatedly. But they always kept their options open to other cast members, which made things messy. Another man made a shocking reveal in the finale, and fans aren't happy about it.

Spoiler warning for the Perfect Match Season 4 finale.

Ally and Jimmy's Shocking 'Perfect Match' Season 4 Finale

Ally, 32, was matched with the Love Is Blind alum, but grew closer to Hashim Moore when the couples were separated. Episode 7 showed the Vanderpump Rules star torn between matching with Hashim, 31, or Jimmy, 30, late at night.

She sat on Jimmy's lap and said she didn't know what decision to make. It sounded like she was crying and hiding her face. Jimmy gave up after she went to talk to Hashim and left. But he was brought in the next day and sat next to Ally in the finale. Hashim made a shocking reveal before the cast voted.

"This is pretty uncomfortable for me, but like, just bro code," Hashim said in front of the cast. "Me and Ally were, like physically intimate." Ally shook her head and looked shocked. Jimmy said he knew that they had kissed.

"You guys just need to have a conversation," Hashim added. The episode showed a clip of Hashim and Ally in bed. He was lying down and she was under the covers on top of him. Some fans thought this went too far for several reasons.

"Am I the only one who thought that was unnecessary and [kind of] gross?" a fan asked on Reddit. "She was coupled up with someone else, it just felt exploitative. Classic reality TV I guess but lol at that being the messiest thing they could air."

"She was also extremely drunk in those scenes which makes it even worse," another person replied.

"That was so uncalled for! For 'nice guy' Hashim to tell the world then for Netflix to air it. She should have been in a room by her damn self that night considering how drunk she was," another commenter wrote.

Ally and Jimmy didn't win. She refused to talk more about what happened between her and Hashim.

Ally told Tudum that they weren't ready to date after the show. She also said she felt "embarrassed" by Hashim and said that was "no one’s business." Sophie Willett and Dave Hand won and enjoyed a trip to the Maldives.

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 2:04pm

Nothing Bundt Cakes is tapping into summer flavors with a just-released menu filled with returning favorites and limited-time treats.

The biggest standout is the comeback of the fan-favorite S’mores Made With HERSHEY’S, which will be available starting on June 1 through July 19.

The nostalgic chocolate cake features HERSHEY’S milk chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, along with a topping of butter graham streusel.

It will be offered in all sizes, but for a limited time.

Next up, there's a bundt flavor that feels tailor-made for summer, pulling inspiration from a quintessential Southern classic dessert.

I'm personally most excited to try the Peach Cobbler Pop-Up. There's nothing like biting into a sweet, juicy peach during the warm summer months, but peach in cake form is even better.

The brand-new comfort dessert will layer peach-filled cake with cinnamon peaches, cream cheese frosting, and a brown sugar butter crumble.

You’ll have to act fast if you want to grab try one, as it will only be available for two weeks, while supplies last, from June 8 through the 21.

But the summer lineup isn't stopping there!

Additional limited-time menu items will roll out throughout the summer months, including Cinammon Roll Pop-Up Bundlet from July 6–19, Lemon Raspberry returning in all sizes from July 20–Aug. 30 and Turtle Cheesecake Swirl Pop-Up Bundtlet July 27–Aug. 9.

“Summer brings people together for some of the year’s most meaningful moments — whether that’s gathering for Father’s Day, a backyard barbecue or reconnecting with family and friends over a holiday weekend,” said Dolf Berle, CEO of Nothing Bundt Cakes, in a press release shared with Parade. “At Nothing Bundt Cakes, we aim to make those occasions feel more memorable with flavors Guests can look forward to sharing all season long.”

The rotating seasonal menu is designed to match summer's biggest moments, from graduation to Father's Day and all the Fourth of July gatherings, giving fans a reason to keep coming back for something sweet all summer long.

Resurfaced Footage After Queen Elizabeth’s Death Is ‘Still Heartbreaking’

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 1:54pm

Video recently shared on social media showed just how locals of London came together the day that Queen Elizabeth II died.

The footage captured by London tour guide, David Harry, known as The London Spy, showed a crowd outside of Buckingham Palace soon after it was announced that she had died.

"I captured this moment in history, barely half an hour after Queen Elizabeth's death had been announced," he wrote. "As a crowd started to gather outside Buckingham Palace, a single voice started to sing 'God Save the Queen,' and the crowd joined in."

"I cycled over as soon as I heard the news on the radio to catch this moment in history," Harry also said in the comment section on his post, which was filled with royal fans remembering the late queen and reliving the moment news of her death became public.

"Rest in peace to the greatest sovereign this nation has ever witnessed, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II," one wrote. "We miss you."

"When I heard the news I did have a tear in my eye she was our queen and solely missed," another said. "Charles is trying to be a good king but he has big shoes the fill."

"Bro I remember watching the news with my parent’s one minute and then it just went black and suddenly they were all in black suits," another said, presumably referring to the historic BBC broadcast.

The queen, who was 96 when she passed, had served as the UK's longest-reigning monarch having been crowned in 1953 at age 27. Her son, now King Charles, was coronated in May of 2023.

Upon what would have been his mother's 100th birthday last month, the King shared a heartfelt tribute in a broadcast message in her memory.

“Millions will remember her for moments of national significance; many others for a fleeting personal encounter, a smile, a kind word that lifted spirits, or for that marvelous twinkle of the eye when sharing a marmalade sandwich with Paddington Bear in the final months of her life...God bless you, darling mama. You remain forever in our hearts and prayers.”

Most recently, the late monarch has been memorialized through fashion as an exhibit of her famed outfits have been on display at Buckingham Palace.

44 Years Later, Iconic '80s Film Anthem Still Gives Us Chills—But It Almost Sounded Completely Different

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 1:45pm

When Rocky III was released 44 years ago, Sylvester Stallone had a specific song in mind to show Rocky Balboa's intense training to regain his title. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get the publishing rights to it. The song was none other than "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen, which is also the band's highest-selling single and one of their most popular songs of all time.

After realizing that he wouldn't be able to use the song, Stallone reached out to Survivor, a fledgling Chicago rock band that had yet to have a No. 1 song. In a 2012 interview with Guitar World, the band's co-founder and guitarist Jim Peterik talked about the fateful day he came home to a voicemail from Stallone.

"At first, I thought it was a joke, but I called the number and sure enough, Stallone answered," Peterik said. "He told me that he loved the band and had heard 'Poor Man’s Son' and 'Take You On A Saturday' from our Premonition album and wanted that same kind of 'street' sound for his new movie, Rocky III."

'Thank You, Queen!'

Stallone sent a copy of the film, and Peterik watched it with bandmate Frankie Sullivan. They were both surprised to hear that "Another One Bites the Dust" had already been edited into the scenes. When he asked why he didn't just use that, Stallone explained that he couldn't get the rights to use it.

"At that point, I just said, 'Thank you, Queen!'" Peterik joked.

Survivor became a household name, thanks to "Eye of the Tiger." The song was in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for 15 weeks and No. 1 for 6 weeks. It won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song.

The Secret Tape Still Exists Today

In 1982, Queen's Brian May attended one of Survivor's concerts. May had heard the story and asked Sullivan about it. He confirmed that "Another One Bites the Dust" did play in the film copy they received. "I offered to send him a copy of the tape, which I still own," he told Louder Sound.
