Horror fans are getting an unexpected treat this Halloween season, and it has nothing to do with jump scares.

Instead, three of the genre's most recognizable villains are trading terror for teddy bears.

Spirit Halloween has unveiled a new line of officially licensed Teddy Terrors collectibles, reimagining some of horror's most infamous characters as plush keepsakes designed for collectors. While the villains may be known for haunting moviegoers, their latest look is far more cuddly than creepy.

Leading the lineup is Pennywise from It, transformed into a chocolate-brown teddy bear wearing the killer clown's signature gray costume. The plush even includes a removable Pennywise mask, giving fans the option to display the collectible with or without the iconic face.

Also joining the collection is Ghost Face, the masked slasher from the Scream franchise. The plush features a golden teddy bear dressed in Ghost Face's unmistakable black cloak, complete with a removable mask that instantly makes the character recognizable to horror fans.

Rounding out the trio is Art the Clown, the terrifying antagonist from the Terrifier films. The silent killer has been recreated in teddy bear form with his familiar black-and-white clown costume and a removable clown mask, making for perhaps the most unexpected transformation of the bunch.

The collectibles reflect a growing trend among horror fans, who have increasingly embraced nostalgic merchandise that celebrates classic characters in playful new ways. Rather than simply displaying posters or movie replicas, collectors are adding stylized figures, plush toys and other unexpected memorabilia inspired by their favorite franchises.

Each Teddy Terrors plush is officially licensed and priced at $49.99.

The collection launches July 7 through Spirit Halloween's online store while supplies last, and given the popularity of limited-edition horror collectibles, fans may not want to wait too long before adding one—or all three—to their shelves.

Prince Harry’s long-running, highly public war against the British tabloid press just suffered its most bruising defeat yet.

On Tuesday, a London High Court judge dismissed a privacy lawsuit brought by the Duke of Sussex and a roster of co-claimants, including rock legend Elton John and actress Elizabeth Hurley. The group had accused Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), the powerful publisher behind The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday, of running a systemic, decades-long operation of unlawful information gathering.

Harry and his fellow litigants claimed ANL hired private investigators to bug homes, intercept private voicemails, hack phones, and trick bank officials into handing over protected financial data.

ANL dug in, calling the accusations "preposterous" and maintaining that its reporters dug up stories using old-fashioned journalism, legitimate inside sources, and royal aides.

On Tuesday, the court agreed with the publisher. Mr. Justice Nicklin handed down the written judgment remotely, ending this chapter of Harry’s legal crusade without a word spoken in court.

While his legal team processed the legal defeat, the Duke was out on the pavement in London, attending a charity event. Dressed in a sharp suit, Harry smiled and waved to crowds of onlookers, a contrast to the legal ramifications landing in his lawyers' inboxes.

For Harry, the fight is personal. He has spent the last several years launching multiple legal offensives against the UK media, an industry he blames for the paparazzi that followed his mother, Princess Diana, and the atmosphere that eventually drove him, wife Meghan Markle and son Prince Archie to flee to California. He vowed to make reforming the British press his life's work.

Tuesday's ruling proves that the crusade faces a steep uphill battle. British privacy laws carry exceptionally high burdens of proof, and ANL’s legal team successfully argued that the claims lacked sufficient merit to prove the information was gathered unlawfully, with the judge noting the stories could realistically have come from legitimate sources.

The ruling is a victory for Associated Newspapers, which has argued that Harry's legal campaign is an infringement on free speech. Harry’s legal team has already hinted at an appeal, ensuring this royal feud with the press will continue.

Simone Biles isn't letting strangers on the internet decide who belongs onTaylor Swift's wedding guest list.

After attending Swift and Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3 with her husband, Jonathan Owens, the Olympic gymnast found herself responding to one fan who questioned why she had been invited in the first place.

Sharing a carousel of photos from the celebration, Biles wrote, "The perfect love story, followed by the perfect nighTT."

While many fans celebrated the glamorous snapshots, one commenter asked, "When has Simone Biles and Taylor Swift even spoken to each other?😂"

Biles wasted no time shutting down the speculation: "Remember this, I only show y’all what I want y’all to know," she replied.

Others were more focused on the 29-year-old’s stunning gown, which was a deep red and featured gem-like accents all over.

Biles recently suffered a severe medical scare

The wedding marked one of Biles' first public outings following a frightening health scare just weeks earlier. In June, the gymnast revealed she had experienced "a serious medical emergency" that "could have ended very differently." After sharing vacation photos from Belize, some social media users criticized her for traveling so soon. Biles didn't shy away from responding then, either.

"Ugh these comments make me sad. a little over two weeks ago, I experienced a serious medical emergency that could have ended very differently, and this trip has been part of allowing myself to heal & appreciate being here," she wrote, later adding to another commenter, "I don't owe you anything but have you ever heard of non alcoholic drinks."

Ryan Seacrest had to revoke his "yes" RSVP to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Madison Square Garden wedding.

TheWheel of Fortunehost, 51, revealed on the Monday, July 6, episode of On Air with Ryan Seacrest that while he was initially meant to be in attendance as the Grammy-winning artist and NFL player said their "I dos" on Friday, July 3, he had to cancel due to a work commitment.

"Travis and Taylor got married, and I had to keep a secret from you," Seacrest admitted to co-hosts Tanya Rad and Sisanie Villaclara. "I had to keep a secret. It was a confidential invitation to everybody that was invited. And so when you were doing your reports about the wedding, I was just on the inside screaming, on the outside very composed."

He continued, "I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th, and so I had to cancel."

While Villaclara joked that Seacrest's invitation was a "waste," he countered, "It wasn’t a waste. I was actually really excited."

"I was kind of torn," he continued. "I went through the minutes, I couldn’t have done both. And the actual wedding was in the afternoon. I went through the minutes! But I was so honored and thrilled to be invited."

After his initial RSVP, Seacrest revealed that he even ran into Swift and Kelce at dinner, where they cryptically discussed "the event" and he confirmed that he would be there to celebrate with him.

"I RSVP’d ‘yes,’ I saw them a couple of weeks later to confirm, then I had to cancel," the American Idolhost lamented. "But I really had no choice. That’s part of my job at Disney, to do these things, so..."

While Seacrest couldn't be there to witness the couple's nuptials in person, he made sure to wish them well, adding, "We give them a shoutout on the show."

On July 7, 1986, David Lee Roth released his breakout solo album, Eat ‘Em and Smile. Two years after his unceremonious exit from Van Halen and a year after a quickie EP release (Crazy From the Heat), the singer’s solo album debut soared to No. 4 on Billboard’s 200 album chart and spawned two hit singles, "Yankee Rose” and “Goin’ Crazy.”

Forty years later, Roth’s dynamic debut remains an iconic moment in rock history and one that fans still remember fondly as they celebrate its anniversary milestone.

On Instagram, one fan described the album as “pure ‘80s fun” and recalled the “crazy” MTV music videos that accompanied it.

“The album was bittersweet for me because I loved Van Halen. David came through big time with this album and created his own mini genre. I developed a new level of respect for him as an artist. Happy anniversary to this classic,” another fan wrote.

“An album that greatly inspired us,” added another. ”Dave put that band together like he was assembling the Avengers, and came out with an absolute 10/10 album.”

Roth’s solo band featured an all-star lineup with guitarist Steve Vai, bass player Billy Sheehan, and drummer Gregg Bissonette.

The first single, “Yankee Rose” features a major trick, with Vai “talking” to Roth via his guitar before the former Van Halen frontman announces his return with, “Guess who's back in circulation / Well, I don't know what you may have heard.”

 In addition to “Yankee Rose” and “Goin’ Crazy,” the track list includes “Shyboy,” "I'm Easy,” "Ladies' Nite in Buffalo?,” “Tobacco Road,” "Elephant Gun," “Big Trouble,” "Bump and Grind,” and “That's Life,” a cover of the Frank Sinatra classic.

Roth talked about the theme for Eat ‘Em and Smile in a vintage interview posted by Songkick.

“Got the brand new album Eat ‘Em and Smile,” he shared in the 1986 interview. “Woo, that can mean five, six different things and they're probably all banned but that's America, man, that's what it's all about. It's like it's an attitude, Eat ‘Em and Smile. It’s both positive and it's aggressive, and  I don't know, maybe it's a lifestyle.”

As for the band formed for the album, Vai told Guitar World the foursome had unbelievable chemistry and dodged comparisons to Roth’s former bandmates, most notably guitar legend Eddie Van Halen.

“My mindset was simply to contribute something authentic, be myself and let that speak for itself, ” he shared. “Once the album came out and we hit the road, the reception was fantastic. I didn’t feel the backlash people warned me about. I think fans realize you can’t replace Edward; you  can only bring your own voice.”

“He was a handful in the best possible way,” Vai added of Roth. "Working with him was like being strapped to a rocket made of charisma and fueled by tequila.”

After months of avid anticipation from mainstream audience members, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has officially arrived, launching its first premier screening for a limited lineup of critics.

And if the early reaction is any indication, Nolan's latest epic has been well worth the wait.

With the initial response to the film overwhelmingly positive, many critics called The Odyssey a surefire Oscar contender, praising its scope, creative vision, ensemble cast and altogether breathtaking visuals.

“A filmmaking feast,” deemed Collider (via Variety). “A grand and gripping rendition of Homer’s epic, and one that feels uniquely Christopher Nolan. It’s sincerely hard to imagine any other filmmaker on the planet being able to bring that source material to screen with this much scale, scope and heart.”

"Matt Damon leads with grit, while Tom Holland brings the sensitivity and heart…," agreed Variety. "It’s another hit for Nolan, one his die-hards will digest for decades to come.”

"Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is flawless filmmaking, every inch as epic as you'd expect," added another critic. "Leading a stellar cast, Matt Damon gives Odysseus everything in a career-best powerhouse performance. Robert Pattinson is outstanding as Antinous and John Leguizamo's Eumaeus is sublime."

Nolan's sprawling follow-up to the equally well-received Oppenheimer, The Odyssey follows the ancient Greek warrior Odysseus (Damon) as he ventures home from a decade-long stint in the Trojan War. Crossing the sea, he encounters all manner of gods, monsters and other enigmatic figures who hamper his journey, all the while his son (Holland) tries to stop his mother (Anne Hathaway) from taking on a conniving new suitor (Pattinson).

Featuring a massive ensemble cast that includes Damon, Holland, Hathaway, Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth, Travis Scott and Elliot Page, The Odyssey arrives in theaters nationwide on July 17, giving viewers plenty of reason to celebrate this summer season.

Ryan Paevey is once again bidding General Hospital farewell.

The actor's most recent exit from the ABC soap opera came during the Monday, July 6, episode, as the fate of his character, Cassius Faison, was revealed following a dramatic shootout that killed Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

While Cassius was initially presumed dead in the shootout, it was revealed in Monday's episode that he was alive and in World Security Bureau custody, with his final scene ending with a job offer from Z (John Oliver).

“Ryan’s return was always planned as a short-term arc,” executive producer Frank Valentini told TV Insider of Paevey's exit. “He did incredible work, and we loved having him back.”

As for where the show left Cassius at the end of his recent arc, Valentini teased, "The door is always open for him to return."

Paevey first joined General Hospital in 2013 as the heroic detective Nathan West, who was shot dead in the line of duty back in 2018. When Paevey returned to the daytime drama almost a decade later, it was as Nathan's previously unknown twin brother, Cassius.

"We started talking a little bit about what he had in the works for story, and would I be willing to come back for a little bit?" Paevey recalled to TV Insider of his decision to return in 2025. "The initial conversations were about really short periods of time, and I was like, ‘OK, well, look, if we’re going to do this, let’s really do it. I don’t want to come back for three weeks and be a ghost.’"

Paevey was also solidly against doing a "resurrection story" for Nathan, leading to the Cassius twin arc.

"This was the role I came back to play," Paevey told Soap Opera Digest in April 2026. "Cassius is basically Nathan turned on his heels. He has to be similar enough to Nathan that it’s feasible, that it’s believable that people were fooled. He looks like Nathan, he kind of sounds like Nathan—the camouflage is viable, so to speak. I mean, we are twins. But there are some differences."

Drew Barrymore is reflecting on her time on the Never Been Kissed set — specifically during one infamous scene.

During a break of her talk show, an audience member told the actress, "I do your Never Been Kissed dance all the time" and proceeded to do the dance move from the scene where Barrymore, who played Josie Gellar, a journalist posing as a high school student, danced on stage at a nightclub after accidentally eating a marijuana-laced brownie.

"Talk about raw and vulnerable," Barrymore recalled of the scene. "We were filming that scene. It was in front of Jessica Alba and James Franco and Seth Rogen, all these really cool kids, and there I was like, doing that, and I felt so uncool."

However, the actress explained "that is the point of the film."

"We all feel like such a geeky, dweeby, uncool, unsexy dork sometimes, and I just wanted to embody that because it doesn't escape anybody's journey," she continued. "The minute you're out to make a specific impression, sometimes it goes the other way."

The film, which she said she "loved getting to do" because "it was so true to the human experience," was released in 1999 and also starred David Arquette and Leelee Sobieski. While Barrymore mentioned Rogen in her story, he did not star in the film.

Previously speaking about the film, Barrymore once explained that it was a high-pressure situation because "I knew if it didn’t work, we weren’t going to get another chance. We had so much fun making it. It was the best time ever, but I had a clenched stomach the whole time," she recalled in 2024.

She also shared that the studio heads told her she was looking "too unattractive," to which Barrymore said "Good!" to serve the purpose of the movie.

"And then they were like, 'It's too far' ... and they said something that appealed to my sensibilities rather than my ego, they were like, 'We don’t want you to lose the heart because you’re going so far for the comedy.”

"So what you see there is me dialed back," she joked of her character's appearance.

Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters was recently asked to name a “perfect record” in an interview with BBC 6 Music. He ended up praising the 1988 album, Surfer Rosa, from the Pixies.

“I love that record so much for a lot of reasons,” Grohl said, as reported by Billboard. “One, that it was produced by the almighty Steve Albini. And it was maybe the first album to become popular and showcase his incredible engineering sonic technique.”

Grohl continued, “[Black Francis], the singer of the Pixies, was an amazing lyricist. His lyrics were just… they kind of teetered back and forth from abstract intellectual to things that just sounded so absurd and almost like dumb in a way. His voice and Kim Deal, their two voices together, it was just such a wonderful blend. And it was unusual at the time. They really did sort of coin this specific dynamic, and the simplicity of it was really powerful.”

He concluded by saying, “That record I’ve probably listened to 10,000 times, and I still love it. I could still listen to it every day.”

Grohl named some of his other favorite albums in an interview withFar Out Magazine. Grohl also included the Pixies album in his list and said, “It was so necessary at that time for someone to incorporate elements of quirky, weird punk into sweet pop. It influenced a whole generation of bands, which then influenced a whole generation, so this album is probably one of the most influential albums of the last 15 years. It probably made Steve Albini most famous for his production, too. Nirvana always made sure everyone knew we were just ripping off the Pixies.”

Penélope Cruz is advocating for increased research into women's health issues as the actress reveals she's suffered "many" brain aneurysm "scares" over the years.

The Invite actress, 52, addressed previous reports that she had a close call with a brain aneurysm while filming her upcoming film The Black Ball during a new interview with Porter magazine.

"I have had many scares like that," Cruz said in the profile, published on Monday, July 6. "Fortunately, I’m fine, it was a false alarm."

Symptoms of a potential brain aneurysm can include a sudden, severe headache, nausea and vomiting, blurred vision, loss of consciousness, and confusion, as per the Mayo Clinic.

"I worry about staying healthy, taking care of myself," Cruz continued. "I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I really don’t party. Without health, we have nothing. You talk about real equality? Why don’t we start with health?"

The Oscar-winning actress pointed out that women's health issues are under-researched in comparison to issues that primarily impact men.

"It’s shocking that over decades, we’ve stuck to the same information about how women’s bodies work," she explained. "Look at funding for investigation into any illness that affects only women—we don’t get even half the investment. It is a level of control or suppression."

Cruz first shared the news of her brain aneurysm scare during The Black Ball's Cannes premiere in May, revealing that a doctor broke the news after she began experiencing concerning symptoms.

"We’re about to go out, I was putting on my wig, and they said, ‘Oh, apparently you have some brain aneurysm,’" she recalled during the film’s festival screening, as per Variety. "I thought I was about to die. This is something that was totally surreal in my life."

While the aneurysm diagnosis ended up being a false alarm, Cruz said the ordeal made her role in the film as cabaret dancer Nené even more real to her. "You experience these things together, yet despite all this, despite the hardship, you can move forward in life," she said.

Star Wars is celebrating its 50th anniversary next year, and while 2027 already had some thrilling experiences and events in store for fans to ring in this incredible milestone—including Star Wars Celebration in Los Angeles—Disney, Lucasfilm, MSDX and Philadelphia's Franklin Institute are partnering to bring something brand-new to Star Wars fans.

Coming on February 13, 2027, Star Wars: The Experience – A Journey Through the Galaxy will be the franchise's first and only official exhibition throughout the entire 50th anniversary year. This never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes look at the galaxy far, far away will offer a staggering 18,000 square feet of galleries filled with interactive experiences, artifacts that were really used on the Star Wars screen and other immersive opportunities.

Among the 70 artifacts to be featured, many of which are being shown for the first time after being pulled from the Lucasfilm archives, are Darth Maul's double-bladed red lightsaber (the first double-bladed saber to appear on the Star Wars screen, canonically) and Darth Vader's iconic suit, both of which were actually used on screen.

Props from Star Wars' smash hit show Andor will also be on display, as will a speeder bike and some of the franchise's most beloved characters, including Grogu, R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Eager Star Wars fans will no doubt want more information, and while the actual exhibit won't be arriving in Philadelphia until February, a closer look and more information on Star Wars: The Experience are coming. Specifically, at San Diego Comic-Con this year, which runs from July 23 to 26, guests will get an exclusive first look at the upcoming exhibition during the panel titled The Making of Star Wars: The Experience.

This panel, moderated by Star Wars' original Ahsoka Tano actress Ashley Eckstein, will take place on Friday, July 24, and will reveal the first gallery renderings, along with commentary and insights from experts at Lucasfilm, The Franklin Institute and MDSX.

Tickets for the Star Wars: The Experience exhibit will go on sale in November. After the world premiere in Philadelphia, the exhibit will kick off a five-year North American tour.

Nearly 30 years after it debuted atop the Billboard 200, Reload is making chart history all over again.

The 1997 Metallica album has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart for the week dated July 11, marking the highest debut on that ranking of the band's career. At the same time, Reload has re-entered the Billboard 200 at No. 16, nearly three decades after its original release.

Metallica formed in 1981, and over the past 45 years the band has become one of the most commercially successful acts in rock history. While Reload originally debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in November 1997, the album never had the opportunity to appear on Billboard's standalone Top Hard Rock Albums chart because the ranking did not exist at the time. The newly released super deluxe reissue has now given the album a new milestone to add to its lengthy résumé.

Originally released on Nov. 18, 1997, Reload served as the follow-up to 1996's Load. The two albums were largely recorded during the same sessions with producer Bob Rock after Metallica initially considered releasing the material as a double album before deciding to split it into two separate records.

The album showcased the band's continued evolution beyond its thrash metal roots, embracing a more hard rock-oriented sound while still delivering some of the era's biggest songs. It produced the hit singles "The Memory Remains," featuring Marianne Faithfull, "The Unforgiven II" and "Fuel," while also becoming the final Metallica studio album to feature bassist Jason Newsted.

Commercially, Reload was a major success from the start. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after selling more than 436,000 copies in its first week and ultimately spent 76 weeks on the chart. It has since been certified 4× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and reached No. 1 in seven countries.

Although Reload received mixed reviews upon release, critics generally praised the band's musicianship while debating whether the material could have been combined with Load into a single album. In a review of the 2026 deluxe edition, Rolling Stone argued that despite criticism over the years, the expanded set demonstrates "when Metallica lost themselves, they found themselves more truly and more strange. And they will never sound that way again."

The album's return to the charts comes just weeks after the release of its expansive super deluxe box set on June 26, which includes a newly remastered version of the album along with demos, live recordings, rough mixes and previously unreleased material. The renewed interest has propelled Reload back into the upper reaches of the Billboard 200 while giving the band a brand-new No. 1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart.

For a band that has spent decades setting commercial records, it's a fitting twist that one of Metallica's biggest chart milestones arrived not in the 1990s, but 45 years after the group first came together in 1981.

Barbara Eden believes that Elvis Presley's talents were exploited by Hollywood executives who were looking to make money off of his star power.

The 94-year-old actress, best known for her titular role on the classic sitcomI Dream of Jeannie, co-starred alongside Presley in the 1960 Western film Flaming Star. Eden played Presley's love interest in the film, which featured the singer as a half-white, half-Native American man attempting to keep the peace in his Texas community, much to his own detriment.

It was one of the most unique of Presley's 33 feature films, as Flaming Star was much more dramatic and less musical than films like G.I. Blues and Love Me Tender. It also didn't perform as well at the box office as the romantic musicals for which Presley became known, which Eden believes led to a stymying of his acting career.

"He was good. He was good in that movie," Eden told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Friday, July 3, conducted at the Project Angel Food's Lead With Love telethon. "I think all they did was use him to get the money."

"They didn't think about his career or how talented [he was] — my God. He was wonderful, and he was wonderful singing," she continued.

Eden also revealed that years after Flaming Star debuted, she reunited with Presley when they were both performing on the Las Vegas Strip. "I went to the hotel in between my shows. Oh my God… you walked in, and there was the thrumming of those guitars, and it was just — gives me goosebumps, even now, to talk about it," she recalled.

Eden has always spoken fondly of her time working with Presley on Flaming Star, telling PEOPLE last year, "I remember how good he was. He was a fine actor. This was a part that required good acting, and he did it, boy," adding, "I just think people didn't recognize or appreciate what a fine actor he was, and a lovely, lovely man."

“Will It Go Round in Circles” was a Billy Preston song from his 1972 album, Music Is My Life, which was released as a single in 1973. Even though the song was featured on the seventh album that he released, the song was his very first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It sold over a million copies.

When speaking about "Will It Go Round in Circles," one fan on YouTube said, “This is why George Harrison and The Rolling Stones invited Billy to tour with them. Infectious energy.” Another said, “One of the few '70s dance songs that still holds up. Billy did not live long enough to get the adulation he deserved. I think it would have happened with the release of The Beatles: Get Back movie, which in part showed Billy's impact on the band in the songs ‘Get Back’ and ‘Don't Let Me Down.’”

Preston went on to have another hit with the song “Nothing from Nothing.” He is also credited as playing the piano on “Get Back” by The Beatles. In the documentary, Billy Preston: That's the Way God Planned It, John Lennon can be heard saying that Preston is "kind of like a fifth Beatle."

Over the course of his career, Preston toured with some icons, including George Harrison from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. When speaking about the shows in a 1975 interview, he said, “I like a livelier show, and the Stones are much livelier than George. Although I enjoyed playing on the Harrison tour, this one is more fun, faster paced and more of a rock and roll thing.”

Preston continued, “The Stones are a lot more R&B-oriented. It feels like I’ve been playing with them for years. We’re a family. All the guys are hanging out together and definitely getting off on each other. Keith [Richards] is really enjoying playing with Ronnie [Wood]. This time around, people are a lot happier. The music isn’t as laid-back, and Keith and Ronnie are really clicking. The band is doing a lot of things they’ve never done in America. It’s been a pretty good tour so far, not nearly as exhausting as the last few I’ve done.”

In 2021, Preston was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He died in 2006 at the age of 59.

By the time 1980 rolled around, Led Zeppelin had reached god-like status. The band had released eight studio albums, traveled the world, and effectively changed rock history as we know it. That isn't to say the band was without its sorrowful times up to that point, either.

In 1975, lead singer Robert Plant and his family were involved in a nearly fatal car crash where his wife, Maureen, sustained several serious injuries and Plant himself broke his ankle. Around this time, guitarist Jimmy Page was battling a severe and out-of-control heroin addiction. In 1977, Plant suffered a devastating loss after his five-year-old son, Karac, died from a sudden stomach infection. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Plant was on tour when he received the news that his son was sick, and sadly, before he could make arrangements to get home, Karac had tragically died. By the late '70s, drummer John Bonham was battling a health crisis fueled by alcoholism.

When their 1980 European tour kicked off, it went about as poorly as anything could go. In June of that year, Bonham collapsed on stage during their third song in Nuremberg, Germany. While the official reason the band claimed was that he "ate too many bananas" that day, many have speculated it was intoxication that caused him to black out.

Inside Led Zeppelin's Final 1980 Concert in West Berlin

Days later, on July 7, 1980, the band concluded the tour in West Berlin’s Eissporthalle with a stripped-down performance that rocked the socks off concertgoers. According to Rolling Stone, their final show included the traditional opening with "Train Kept A-Rollin'" and closed with a 17-minute-long version of their 1969 epic hit, "Whole Lotta Love."

On September 25, 1980, the world would lose Bonham forever. He reportedly took 40 shots of vodka that evening, which ultimately killed him. By December of that year, Zeppelin officially called it quits. They never performed as the original foursome after that July 7th night.

Robert Plant Reflects on the Lasting Legacy of Drummer John Bonham

Plant always spoke about Bonham with a lot of affection; after all, they had been friends before forming Led Zeppelin, and the drummer and his wife were crutches for Plant to lean on after his son's death. Professionally, Plant thought the world of his playing ability. In 2020, Plant opened up to Rolling Stone about how he is still dealing with the loss of his longtime friend.

"I’m still living in the area where we were both from, so he’s present and with me quite a lot," Plant sweetly confessed. "A lot of people knew him, like they know me. We haven’t gone very far, apart from a couple of sad adventures. So he’s still very present here, and it’s ironically with local people. It’s just his actual physical presence and his personality that’s remembered, but when you start listening to what he did and his contribution to the world of rhythm and drumming, he transcended all those other players, because he and Jonesy [Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones] gave the whole thing so much class, so much feel, that it really did bring us a deal of separation between Led Zeppelin and a lot of the other stuff that was around at the time, because those two guys had a crucial way of working. So yeah, it’s 40 years, and he’s still greatly lost from us, far and gone. But I’m looking up into the cloudy sky of the nighttime here. I’m sure he’s standing outside a pub somewhere, metaphorically, cracking a joke."

Dinner Party, the neo-jazz and hip-hop supergroup, proudly introduced a new chapter.

The four-piece band, described as an "all-star team," features renowned saxophonist Kamasi Washington, keyboardist Robert Glasper, Grammy-winning hip-hop producer 9th Wonder handling beats and production and multi-instrumentalist Terrace Martin on saxophone and vocoder. The group recently announced the upcoming release of its album, Watchu Bringing?

The full-length album, set for release on Aug. 7 via Empire, will be the group's fourth project after forming in 2020.

Moreover, it marks the supergroup's first new material in three years following its second collective project, Enigmatic Society, released in 2023, which featured guest appearances from Grammy-nominated acts Ant Clemons, Arin Ray and Tank and the Bangas.

For the band, the soon-to-be-released studio album represents a new phase as it continues its artistic growth, fueled by a desire to evolve and experiment.

The fourth release includes nine tracks: "Stop Being Late," "Stargazing," "Breakfast at Sharkey's," "I Wonder," "Just My Type," "I'm Yours," "Mutual Respect," "Peace of Mind" and the highly anticipated lead single "If It Ain't Broke (Love Wins)," which will premiere on July 10.

Following the announcement, fans expressed their anticipation for the supergroup's new material after the three-year wait.

“Dinner Party is years of friendship, shows, dinners, conversations, laughs and life experience, all converging into one moment,” the band said in the same press release shared by Consequence. “Dinner Party is a metaphor — a group, a project, a spirit, an imprint of time… Dinner Party is invite-only, but it’s for everyone.”

For six years, the band has continued to push creative boundaries, giving fans a distinctive musical experience.
