"Look for products with ingredients that support the skin barrier—things like ceramides, glycerin, niacinamide, thermal spring water, hyaluronic acid and panthenol," she says.
She recommends avoiding products that are fragrance-heavy or "overly exfoliating, or those packed with too many active ingredients at once. Some of the best French pharmacy products are actually fairly simple, and that simplicity is often what makes them so effective and well tolerated."

Where To Buy French Pharmacy Skincare in the U.S.You don't need a flight to Paris to get your hands on these products. Most French pharmacy staples are widely available in the US through major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Ulta, CVS and Walgreens. SVR is a little harder to find in brick-and-mortar stores, but is readily available on Amazon.

That’s one reason shortcut recipes have become such a fixture on TikTok. Every week seems to bring another viral creation that promises impressive results with minimal effort. Some social media recipes are clever little time-savers that make you wonder how you ever did things the long way, while others leave you questioning whether the shortcut was worth it at all.
Recently, one particular treat kept appearing on my feed: a berry cobbler made with just two ingredients. The premise, first shared by TikTok creator @mgtaylor25, sounded almost too simple. As someone who loves fruit desserts but doesn’t always have the patienceto make pie crusts or biscuit toppings from scratch, I had to find out whether this shortcut version could actually deliver.

During baking, the berries release their juices and transform into a sweet, jammy filling, while the cookie dough bakes into a buttery, golden topping.
Traditional cobbler is a baked fruit dessert topped with spoonfuls of biscuit dough (or sometimes cake batter). As it bakes, the topping forms uneven, “cobbled” mounds that give the dessert its name. The fruit softens into a syrupy filling while the topping develops a crisp exterior and tender interior.
This shortcut version skips all of the measuring, mixing and dough-making that traditional cobblers require. Instead, store-bought cookie dough does all the heavy lifting.

Ingredients NeededOne of the biggest reasons this recipe has become such a social media sensation is its incredibly short ingredient list:
- 1 bag frozen mixed berries (I used a 15-ounce medley of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and wild blueberries, but you could use a single type of berry or peaches or cherries or any combo. Also, you probably want to use more fruit; see below.)
- 1 package refrigerated sugar-cookie dough (I used Sweet Loren’s, which is gluten-free and allergen-friendly; but any brand would be fine.)
That’s it—though I highly recommend picking up a carton of vanilla ice cream. The contrast between the warm berry filling and the cold, creamy ice cream elevates the dessert, making it feel even more indulgent.
How To Make the 2-Ingredient Berry CobblerFirst, preheat your oven to 350°F.
Pour the frozen mixed berries into a baking dish and spread them into an even layer. (Alternately, you can prepare the dessert in individual ramekins.)

Break apart the cookie dough, slightly flatten each cookie between your palms and arrange them evenly over the berries.

I went into this recipe expecting little more than a fun social media experiment, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The prep time is barely five minutes, making this one of the quickest desserts I’ve ever assembled. There are no mixing bowls, no complicated steps and virtually no cleanup.
As the cobbler baked, the berries released plenty of juice, creating a thick, jam-like filling with just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. The cookie dough turned a beautiful golden brown on top while remaining slightly soft in the center. The result landed somewhere between a classic cobbler and a giant berry-studded cookie. My only adjustment next time would be increasing the amount of berries. I found myself wanting a slightly higher fruit-to-topping ratio, especially since the berry filling was so good.
The biggest surprise was how balanced the finished dessert tasted. The tartness of the berries kept the sugar-cookie topping's sweetness in check. It didn’t taste like a shortcut dessert: If I hadn’t made it myself, I never would have guessed it started with just two store-bought ingredients.
That said, it isn’t a perfect substitute for a traditional cobbler. If your ideal cobbler features a flaky biscuit topping and generations of family nostalgia, this shortcut version probably won’t replace the original.
Still, for convenience, flavor and sheer simplicity, it’s easy to understand why TikTok users keep making it. It’s warm, comforting, crowd-pleasing and nearly impossible to mess up. I’ll absolutely be making it again—and I suspect it may become my new go-to dessert whenever I need something impressive with almost no effort.

Legendary '70s Rock Band Performs Classic Song for First Time in 47 Years
There's no better feeling than when when an artist plays your favorite song live, so imagine that feeling when Rush performed one of their fan-favorite tracks for the first time in almost five decades.
On June 13, during the final night of their four-night residency at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, the legendary rock band shocked fans when they added "A Farewell To Kings" to the set — a track that the band hasn't played since 1979.
The song, which is the title track from the band's fifth studio album, released on August 29, 1977, is a longstanding favorite. "A Farewell To Kings" enjoyed a ton of commercial success upon its release, with the album reaching No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 200 and No. 22 on the U.K. Album Chart.
Unsurprisingly, fans were delighted when the band played the track, which along with the full set, was uploaded to YouTube by TapeheadToo.
"The deepest cut by far of the four LA shows," one commenter wrote. What a treat, thanks guys for bringing back this gem!"
"Nice to hear this Rush classic pulled out of the vault after these years, what a fantastic performance." another said.

The Canadian rockers are currently in the midst of the North American leg of the "Fifty Something" comeback tour. Celebrating more than half a century of music legacy, the tour also honors Rush's late drummer Neil Peart, who died in 2020 at the age of 67.
During the first night of the tour, the show saw the band play a montage of Peart's performances on the venue's screens.
"Drumming became an instrument of self-esteem for me," he said in part, per Ultimate Classic Rock. "I consider my whole career to be a reflection of me at 16 and what my values were. And what I thought the idea of artistic integrity was and what it should be devoted to."

Simone Biles Shares Personal Update 1 Week After Suffering Medical Emergency
Simone Biles is clocking out for a few.
The Olympic gold medalist and her husband Jonathan Owens jetted off to an undisclosed location, with their Louis Vuitton luggage in tow.
“A baecation is needed," Biles captioned a post on her Instagram Stories. She also shared a photo of a teal-hued ocean. "Do not disturb please & thank you," she wrote. Owens also shared a couple of pictures on his Instagram Stories—one of the palm trees lining a beach and another selfie of him and his wife.
The update comes less than a week after Biles suffered a scary medical emergency.
"I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age, but almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card this week," she wrote on Instagram on June 6. "This was one of, if not the, scariest experience of my life, especially since Jonathan was in Indy for practices."
"I’ve been in bed resting this week," she continued, adding, "I’ll explain sooner or later, but [shout out] to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited or sent flowers."
The 11-time Olympic medalist has previously opened up about health-related issues, including her mental health. Back in 2021, she withdrew from five events at the Tokyo Olympics after getting "the twisties."
“So, having these mental blocks in the gym recently, it’s not been fun, it’s been scary,” she said on her Facebook Watch show, Simone vs Herself, in September 2021. “I’m getting lost in my skills. I’m so prepared that I don’t know if I’m overthinking, but it’s getting to the point where it’s becoming dangerous."
Fans are hoping that Biles is able to relax, recuperate, and recover while spending some quality time with her hubby this week.

Swift and her pals, Este and Alana Haim, were sitting courtside for the game, and definitely got a lot of attention as they cheered on the home team.
"Is that Taylor Swift down there?" McNutt said during the June 10 broadcast. "She’s not a Knicks fan. Get out of here girl."
TMZ reached out to McNutt following the viral moment and she issued an apology to anyone she may have offended.
"Swifties, I appreciate your passion," she told TMZ. "I said what I said. I misspoke. I did not know. But here's the deal, context—I literally just did a piece on celebrity row. I've been with this organization for five years. I know these folks. Ben Stiller, his wife Christine, Fat Joe. I had not seen her this year or last year."
"Obviously, Travis [Kelce] supports the Cavs," McNutt continued. "But she didn't have on any Knicks paraphernalia so I did not know her Knicks loyalty. But shoutout T-Swift. We can be united."
Some fans have reacted to Brunson's message on social media.

In the mid 1980s, Phil Collinsreleased a song that left fans scratching their heads with confusion.
"Sussudio" is one of the singer and drummers most famous hits, and its unusual title has been a huge talking point since its release in 1985. The song, the second single from Collin's third solo album, No Jacket Required, quickly became a commercial success and dominated the charts. The song's title comes from a unique word that the former Genesis drummer made up during the songwriting process. According to Collins, the song is about a schoolboy's crush on a girl, although the pair don't know each other all too well. The word Sussudio was originally supposed to act as a placeholder for a girl's name, but it stuck.
"It’s simple, really. Is a word that I made up. I didn’t even make it up, it just came out of my mouth when I was recording at home," the British musician explained in an interview withDavid Letterman. "I was originally going to replace it but I couldn’t find a word that meant anything that [sounded] so well. So I got stuck with it. So I had to reverse it and think: 'Okay, this is the word. What does it mean?' So I invented a meaning, which is actually a girl’s name."

Forty-six years ago today, Billy Joel stopped being just the Piano Man for a minute and proved he could lead a rock band.
On June 14, 1980, his seventh studio album, Glass Houses, climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, knocking Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band's Against the Wind off the top spot. It stayed there for six straight weeks.

Russell T Davies Rejects 'Doctor Who' Cancellation Claims: 'You're Literally Wrong'
Former Doctor Whoshowrunner Russell T. Davies is clapping back at the media’s reporting of the series recent shelving in a new interview.
Last week, news broke that the BBC sci-fi series would not move forward with its planned Christmas special and would be shelved, leading many to report that the franchise had been canceled.
Davies addressed the series' status during an interview with Gaydio. “Go ahead and call it canceled if you want; you're wrong; you're literally wrong,” he said.
The Queer as Folk creator explained that the show is not canceled but rather “It’s been put out to tender.”
The award-winning showrunner elaborated, “That’s an industry phrase, and people might not understand what a show being put out to tender means.” However, he also argues that those claiming the show is canceled and complaining online about the BBC’s decision should also use a search engine and “look it up.”
Davies went on to explain, “Being put out to tender means the program is pitched to be made by an independent company, as opposed to the BBC.”
This basically means that the BBC allows third parties to put their mark on its intellectual property. This doesn’t mean the BBC couldn’t still be the one to produce Doctor Who, as Davies explained, “Independent companies include BBC Studios, by the way, which is separate to BBC Public Service.”
One long-running, popular property that was put out to tender by the BBC recently was Casualty, as the BBC medical drama is now being made independently by BBC Studios.
Davies believes this is a good thing because it acknowledges the long-term investment in making Doctor Who successful. “No one's gonna apply for a tender for one year; it's not worth it,” he said. “I think this guarantees you've gotta lock in just to make it financially worthwhile.”
While Davies and his production company, Bad Wolf, will no longer be involved with the franchise, he feels very positive about its future, sharing, “So I think this guarantees years of the program, but no, it’s not canceled.”

‘Brady Bunch’ Star Auditioned for One of the Scariest Horror Films of the '70s
In the 1970s, Eve Plumb was best known for her role as Jan Brady on The Brady Bunch, playing the middle Brady daughter from 1969 to 1974 on the ABCsitcom. But during her run on the show, Plumb auditioned for the starring role in one of the scariest movies of the 1970s—the 1973 supernatural horror classic, The Exorcist.
During a recent fan Q&A in New York City, Plumb, 68, revealed that while her parents, Neely and Flora, were “so protective” of her, they encouraged her to audition for less wholesome roles, such as the lead role in the 1976 teen prostitution movie, Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway.
“They also let me audition for The Exorcist, which I had read,” Plumb said. “They didn't want to ever hide anything from me. They were like, you know, you can read most books. So I think they probably saw it as a real opportunity for me to start in adult roles and to be seen completely differently from Jan right away.”
Plumb shared details about her audition for The Exorcist in her book, Happiness Included, noting, “I had read the book, surprisingly, even though I was young. Jamie Lee Curtis wanted to audition as Regan, but her parents objected to the storyline and what would be required as a child actor.”
Plumb admitted she was surprised her parents did not object the way Curtis’s parents did. She also recalled reading her lines for her The Exorcist audition with a “gravel-crunching tone.”
The Brady Bunch star shared that over 500 young girls auditioned for the role of demonically possessed teen Regan MacNeil, including Laura Dern, Kim Basinger, and Melanie Griffith, before Linda Blair won the part at age 13.
Plumb admitted that when The Exorcist came out in theaters, she went to see it and was “so terrified” that she slept in her mother’s bed for several nights afterward.

Eve Plumb auditioned for another horror film in the late 1970sThe Exorcist audition wasn’t Plumb’s only foray into the horror genre. Several years later, she was up for one of the lead roles in the slasher film Prom Night—a role that, ironically, went to Curtis.
In a 2004 interview with The Terror Trap, Prom Night producer Peter Simpson recalled, “One of the girls we interviewed was Eve Plumb... she came in and met with us.”
Plumb didn’t get to the audition stage, as Curtis aggressively rallied for the role of popular high school prom queen Kim Hammond, the main protagonist in the 1980 slasher film.
Still, in the documentary The Making of Prom Night, director Paul Lynch revealed that Plumb had been a frontrunner for the role.
“We were talking about getting a name from television, and I liked a young girl who'd been up; she was now in TV movies, but she'd been on The Brady Bunch, and we were kind of leaning towards that,” he said. “And then I got a call, an odd call, from Jamie Lee Curtis's manager. 'Would you consider Jamie Lee Curtis?' I said yes.”
Lynch revealed that Curtis totally sold herself to the film's producer. “After that, the girl from the TV series was gone, and it was now Jamie Lee Curtis,” he said.

What Does Self-Trust Look Like?The idea of self-trust is somewhat vague, so if you're scratching your head, you're not alone.
“Self-trusting people are able to manage the unknown with confidence, accept responsibility for the consequences of their actions and do so without overanalyzing or doubting themselves,” Dr. Shannon Franklin, PsyD, a licensed psychologist with Element Q Healing, tells Parade.
This can look like:
- Having confidence in your judgment and ability to make good decisions.
- Making consistent choices.
- Having a clear idea of your boundaries.
- Relying on an internal sense of what feels “right” rather than constantly seeking approval from others.

When Is Self-Trust Important?Self-trust is useful in many situations that arise in life, whether it’s dealing with adversity at work, a change at home or something else.
“People are able to take action in their lives with confidence (as opposed to fear of uncertainty) and pursue self-improvement instead of seeking validation from others,” Dr. Franklin explains.
Self-trust also helps build and maintain emotional balance and well-being.
“It can contribute to an individual’s ability to be authentic, resilient and complete commitments both personally and professionally,” she adds.
7 Phrases People With High Self-Trust Use Often, According to a PsychologistWant to check your self-trust level or increase it? Check out the following phrases that “self-trusters” commonly say, either to themselves or out loud.
1. “I’ve got this”This phrase is a simple, clear example. It “demonstrates an individual’s confidence to handle different situations and reinforce self-reliance, which can help them to complete tasks with less hesitation,” according to Dr. Franklin.
2. “I’ll make my decision, and then I will be able to adjust if that is what is needed”Phrases like this may arise when changing jobs, for example.
“This statement reflects a person who is comfortable making decisions but also flexible in regards to being open to changing or adjusting as necessary, because they are aware that there will likely be changes in the outcome, but do not fear making those adjustments,” Dr. Franklin shares.
With the changing jobs example, that might look like taking a higher-paying job and then adjusting to a busier work schedule.

3. “I believe in myself”Simply put, people who trust themselves also believe in themselves, whether it’s their ability to get something done, listen to their inner compass, make a decision or handle a tough situation.
“By relying less on what others think of you, it helps strengthen your ability to make better decisions down the road,” Dr. Franklin adds.
4. “I am accountable for my actions”People with self-trust acknowledge what they're personally responsible for—even if it led to undesirable results.
This mindset is admirable and useful in other ways, too. Dr. Franklin says it “will help you grow as an individual and prevent yourself from blaming others for things that don’t go well with you.”

5. “I can find out something from this”A growth mindset (aka, knowing you can improve with time and experience) is useful in many ways—including building self-trust. Dr. Franklin recommends it, explaining it helps you view challenges “as chances to improve yourself instead of viewing them as failures, therefore helping develop a more resilient and flexible person.”
6. “I am aware of what is important to me and will act accordingly”Knowing your core values is key to high self-trust. A phrase like this suggests you’re in sync.
“It can help ensure integrity and possibly resist influence from others,” Dr. Franklin explains.
For example, you might say “no” to a night at the bar if you’re sober, or refuse to engage in gossip if you know that you always feel guilty after partaking in it.
7. “It’s OK to refuse an invitation or opportunity”People with high self-trust will say “no” when needed.
“[This phrase] shows you are able to draw lines around what is acceptable for you, to maintain your sense of well-being, to honor those limits and to do so without feeling guilty,” Dr. Franklin says.
Last but not least, it’s important to note that you can practice saying these phrases to yourself to build self-trust (even if you don’t fully believe them yet). You may not completely trust yourself right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t in time.

The Mom actor revealed that her 2018 divorce from Chris Pratt was one of the saddest moments of her life, but it led to something positive.

The actress didn't disclose much about the relationship breakdown on the podcast, but appreciated she had somewhere to go if she needed to open up to someone.
