Reese’s Is Turning Its Iconic Halloween Candy Into a Fall Latte
If you remember the early Reese’s ads, then you’ll know they were the original tasty mashup: “two great tastes that taste great together.” Now, The Nitro Bar is giving those flavors a fall twist with the limited Reese’s Pumpkins PB Whip Latte.
The chocolate-and-peanut-butter-inspired drink is the result of a new collaboration between Reese’s and The Nitro Bar, a cult-favorite coffee shop with locations in Rhode Island. And judging by the reaction to the announcement, fans are already ready to swap their pumpkin spice for something a little more decadent.
“Move over PSL,” The Nitro Bar wrote on Instagram while introducing the drink. “The candy you know and love, but in latte form.”
New Yorkers get first dibs, with a pop-up event running Sept. 14 and 15, before the drink officially rolls out at all Nitro Bar locations from Sept. 18 to 20. The Nitro Bar currently operates three locations across Providence and Newport, Rhode Island, with plans to expand into NYC in 2027. Fans elsewhere won’t be left out, either. Reese’s and The Nitro Bar plan to release a recipe on Sept. 14 so anyone can recreate the latte at home, wherever they happen to live.
View this post on InstagramThe limited-edition latte was inspired by Reese’s Pumpkin, the chocolate-and-peanut-butter Halloween favorite that returns every fall. Audrey Finocchiaro, founder of The Nitro Bar, told PEOPLE that the collaboration was an opportunity to bring Reese’s signature flavor into coffee in a way that felt “playful” and “unexpected.”
And fans seem more than ready to try it. The comments on The Nitro Bar’s Instagram announcement included one enthusiastic reaction: “This will absolutely wreck my entire stomach system. Give me 37 of them immediately.” Another commenter summed up the seasonal shift rather nicely: “Sorry PSL, we’re on a break. Hellooo Reese latte.”
With a New York City pop-up, a limited Rhode Island release, and a recipe coming for everyone else, Reese’s and The Nitro Bar may have just found a new way to make fall a whole lot sweeter.
Hollywood’s Oscar-Winning ‘Wildcat’ Returns With New Kids’ Book
Goldie Hawn is returning to a project that puts a different kind of spotlight on her decades-long work with children.
The 80-year-old Oscar-winning star of Cactus Flower, Private Benjamin and Overboard is teaming up with bestselling children’s author Lin Oliver for the second book in their After-School Kindness Crew series. The After-School Kindness Crew #2: Slam Dunk Day is scheduled to hit shelves Nov. 10, 2026.
The new release follows the first installment, Pooch on the Loose, which launched the middle-grade series earlier this year. Hawn and Oliver, 79, created the series around friendship, kindness, mindfulness and the everyday challenges faced by kids.
Goldie Hawn Is Bringing Kindness to the BookshelfIn Slam Dunk Day, fourth-graders Tony, Mia and River find themselves dealing with new surprises as they continue their mission of spreading kindness.
The book is inspired by Hawn’s work with the Goldie Hawn Foundation and its MindUP program, which focuses on helping children develop emotional resilience, mindfulness and stress-management skills.
Like the first book, the new installment will feature “Brain Breaks” throughout the story. The guided breathing exercises give young readers opportunities to pause, take a breath and collect their thoughts.
“I wanted to create these relatable stories to remind children of the power of kindness, while giving them moments of laughter and calm,” Hawn said in a statement. “The brain breaks woven throughout each book invite children to pause, breathe, and reconnect with joy.”
The actress has long been involved in children’s wellness and education through the foundation, making the book series a natural extension of work that has become an important part of her life beyond Hollywood.
Hawn first rose to fame on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In before becoming one of Hollywood’s most recognizable comedy stars. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Cactus Flower and later earned another Oscar nomination for Private Benjamin.
Her film résumé also includes Overboard, The First Wives Club, Death Becomes Her and Wildcats, the 1986 sports comedy in which she played a high school football coach.
But these days, Hawn is putting some of that energy toward a younger audience.
Oliver, who has written more than 65 children’s books, said the series draws directly from the principles behind Hawn’s MindUP program, including kindness, self-awareness and empathy.
The After-School Kindness Crew #2: Slam Dunk Day will be published Nov. 10, just ahead of World Kindness Day on Nov. 13.

Sam’s Club’s Limited-Edition Hard Cider Variety Pack Is the Must-Have Drink of the Fall
We’re only halfway through August, but it seems every retailer has set their sights on fall. Even coffee shops have already dropped their pumpkin-themed menus to usher in the spooky months.
And while I’m still enjoying the last bits of summer, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t just spend an afternoon at Sam’s Club stocking up on all things Halloween.
That’s when a 12-pack of Angry Orchard hard ciders caught my eye.
It wasn’t just any pack. The spooky packaging instantly pulled me in, as the limited-edition Angry Orchard Scream Thriller Pack went into full horror-movie mode.
In collaboration with the iconic horror franchise Scream, the variety pack features the franchise’s most recognizable villain, Ghost Face, alongside fall-inspired shades of green, red, orange, and purple that reflect the flavors inside.
Lizzy Buczak
Boasting 5% ABV (and naturally gluten-free) and glow-in-the-dark elements, the variety pack includes 3 cans of each of the following flavors:
- Mystery Caller: A secret, elusive fruit-blended crisp apple cider featuring the iconic Ghost Face design (some guess it’s a black cherry flavor).
- Headless Pumpkin: Pumpkin flavor mixed with hints of vanilla ice cream, baked pie crust, and bright apple.
- Blood Orange: Bright citrus and honeysuckle top notes paired with juicy apple.
- Caramel Apple Curse: Tart orchard apples blended with warm, buttery caramel dessert notes
As a fan of all things pumpkin, the Headless Pumpkin was top-tier, though Blood Orange was surprisingly refreshing.
Lizzy Buczak
The hard ciders are understandably the talk of the town, as they bridge a seasonal gap, serving as a must-have sip during Summerween celebrations, scary movie nights, barbecues, and eventually, all fall-themed activities.
If you’re a cider or Scream fan, this one is a must—provided you’re of legal drinking age, of course.
The 12-pack retails for about $18.79, depending on location, and will sell out quickly, as horror fanatics have already sent up the “Code Orange” on social media and are running to stores to get their hands on a pack.
Thankfully, they aren’t exclusive to Sam’s Club and have been spotted at other retailers and liquor stores, so if your location is out of stock, don’t hit the panic button just yet. Availability will run from August through October, while supplies last.
Do you dare?

Hot take: Fall is hands-down the best season for decorating your front porch. Sorry, spring, but your potted pansies and pastel wreaths just aren’t bringing the same energy. Autumn has the whole package: rich oranges, warm reds, golden yellows and earthy neutrals that practically beg you to pile on the pumpkins, mums and cozy textures.
And then there’s the lighting. Because the sun starts clocking out earlier, you can finally break out the fairy lights and lanterns before bedtime without looking like you’re trying to summon Christmas in September. The result is a front porch that feels warm, welcoming and, dare I say, magical.

After receiving one topiary, a Sam’s Club shopper says they already have plans to expand their collection.

Shocking Ozzy Osbourne Bat Moment is now a Wild Theme Park Drink
In 1982, Ozzy Osbourne shocked the world when he bit the head off a bat on stage during his “Diary of a Madman” tour. A moment that would solidify the late, great metal icon as Metal’s Prince of Darkness. In the years since, Osbourne has clarified that he thought the bat was a rubber toy, but the bloody incident became one of the most infamous stage stunts in rock n’ roll history.
A stunt that you can now recreate at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2026. This year’s annual theme park Halloween haunt is paying homage to Ozzy with a haunted house that will take fans through a haunted, crazy train of the legend’s musical lore. And with that, there will be plenty of metal merch and themed foodie fun, including the “Ultimate Sin-amon” drink. The blood-red Fireball whiskey-based cocktail comes with a chocolate bat to recreate the moment and toast to the greatness of Ozzy’s legacy.
You’ll be able to find it at Ozzy’s Bar at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood. In addition to the headlining drink, there are more themed cocktails and good inspired by Ozzy’s music hits. Here’s a look at the menu and their descriptions:
- Bark at the Naan: naan taco filled with chicken tikka masala, red cabbage, diced pineapple, lime crema, and cilantro
- Crazy Train Chickpea Curry Burrito: coconut chickpea curry burrito with diced tomato, pineapple chutney, red cabbage and lime crema
- The Prince of Darkness Cake: carrot cake with cream cheese mousse, coated in a black ganache, topped with chocolate mousse and a chocolate bat
- I Just Want You… & Tacos: Fritos, black garlic BBQ brisket, red onion, coleslaw and cilantro
- Mr. Crowley’s Curse: zero proof whiskey, lemonade, blackberry syrup and blue curaçao syrup
- Bark at the Moon Mule: grape vodka mule with a grape Pop Rocks rim and fresh blackberries
- Ultimate Sin-amon: cinnamon fire whiskey, apple juice, spiced brown sugar, lemon juice and beet powder with a cinnamon sugar rim and chocolate bat
- Blizzard of Ozz-arita: tequila, blue curaçao, lime juice, simple syrup, and Sprite with a black sugar rim and black rock candy
At a special tasting hosted by Horror Nights, we were able to try the Ultimate Sin-amon drink and can attest to its potent power and warmth that washes down from the Fireball whiskey with intense notes of tart apple. And of course, the detail of the chocolate bat was a devilish delight. Additionally, we were able to try out the Bark at the Naan and Crazy Train Chickpea Curry Burrito, which pays respects to Osbourne’s obsession with curry dishes, and both have a solid spicy kick that would have been to his liking. The Naan features chicken tikka masala, and the burrito stands as a vegetarian option. We like to think Ozzy might send a devil’s minion to come up and grab him these snacks to-go.

Speaking of the realms, Hellraiser fans will also be pleased to find out that the horror franchise is not only getting a haunted house at this year’s event but also a selection of chillingly curated cuisine. We got to try the Skin & Chips Nachos, spicy pork rinds topped with nacho cheese sauce, and Jack Links beef jerky, and the Lament Configuration puzzle-inspired Open the Box donut bites, which were sour and filled with a blue raspberry filling. The donut choice surprised us because Cenobites’ Cinna-bites were RIGHT THERE as an option and would have balanced out all the spicy and sour.
Image: Sabina Graves ParadeImg: Sabina Graves Parade
And finally, after years and years, Universal has summoned The Simpsons for Treehouse of Horrors foodie frights that we can’t wait to try. Inspired by the long-running cartoon’s annual horror specials, Universal has collaborated with the animation powerhouse for a special menu that includes:
- Sloppy D’oh: ground beef in a tangy tomato chili sauce, topped with Fritos
- Worst.Brat.Ever!: bratwurst in a pretzel roll topped with Duff cheese sauce and sauerkraut
- Road Scrapin’s: French fries topped with white country gravy, cheese, fried chicken, and crispy onions
- Pumpkin Spice Cold Boo: cold brew topped with pumpkin spice pink vanilla cold foam and a donut hole
- Mmm…Forbidden Pumpkin Donut: vanilla donut with pumpkin spice icing topped with sprinkles and a printed candy note
Cartoon and metal horror greats unite at this year’s Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, and we cannot wait to go on a whole creepy food crawl in between haunted house fun. For more information on the event, which runs from September 3 through November 1, 2026, visit HHN Hollywood’s official site.

Last Surviving Member of ’60s NBC Phenomenon Opens Up About His 3 Late Bandmates: ‘It’s Like They’re Still There’
In 1966, four young men were cast in an NBC television series about a struggling rock band, launching a pop culture phenomenon that would ultimately become very real.
Sixty years later, Micky Dolenz is the last surviving member of The Monkees, following the deaths of Davy Jones in 2012, Peter Tork in 2019 and Michael Nesmith in 2021. And while being the last Monkee standing can bring moments of sadness, Dolenz says he still feels the presence of his three late bandmates.
Related: Last Surviving Member of The Monkees Micky Dolenz Releases New Music 60 Years After First No. 1 Hit
“I do feel a little melancholy sometimes,” Dolenz, 81, told AARP in a new interview. “But it’s almost like they never left because [in the show] there’s so much video and so many songs that David or Peter or Mike sang. So in a way, it’s like they’re still there.”
Micky Dolenz Celebrates 60 Years of The MonkeesDolenz is currently celebrating The Monkees’ 60th anniversary on tour, performing hits including “I’m a Believer,” “(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone” and “Last Train to Clarksville.”
The concerts also incorporate stories and footage of Jones, Tork and Nesmith performing, allowing Dolenz to share the stage, in a sense, with his former bandmates once again.
Related: Micky Dolenz Shares Rare ‘Monkees’ Photos to Mark Show’s 60th Anniversary
Looking back at how it all began, Dolenz emphasized that The Monkees weren’t formed like a conventional rock band. Dolenz, Jones, Nesmith and Tork were individually cast in The Monkees, an NBC musical comedy about four aspiring musicians sharing a beach house in Malibu.
“The Monkees were not a group or a band in any traditional sense,” Dolenz explained. “It was a musical comedy television series about these four guys that lived in a Malibu beach house and wanted to be a band.”
Dolenz also recalled the distinct roles each of the four played on the series. Nesmith was the pragmatic one who naturally assumed something of a leadership role, while Dolenz described himself as “the wacky drummer, bouncing off the walls.” Jones, meanwhile, was “just so frigging cute.”
But Dolenz said Tork may have faced the biggest acting challenge.
“He played the dummy, and he was not like that at all,” Dolenz said. “Peter was incredibly well educated, eloquent and intelligent.”
Related: Micky Dolenz Reflects on the Year the Monkees Outsold the Beatles & Rolling Stones — Combined
The Monkees Went From TV Band to the Real ThingDolenz didn’t even consider himself a drummer when he landed the role. His musical tastes growing up included Johnny Mathis and Nat King Cole, and he auditioned for The Monkees by playing Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode” on guitar.
“When I was cast, they said, ‘OK, you’re the drummer. We have enough guitar players,'” Dolenz recalled. “So I started learning the drums.”
He didn’t meet his future bandmates until a wardrobe fitting for the television pilot. Dolenz said it was a far cry from groups such as The Beatles, whose members had known each other before fame, or the family ties that helped form The Beach Boys.
But something unusual happened after The Monkees premiered: The fictional band became a real one.
The four eventually went on the road and performed together live, a transformation Dolenz said Nesmith once summed up perfectly.
“He said it was like Pinocchio becoming a real little boy,” Dolenz recalled. “Isn’t that great?”
Dolenz is marking The Monkees’ 60th anniversary with more than his current tour. His new solo EP Timeless is scheduled for release Sept. 4, while an updated edition of his autobiography “I’m a Believer: My Life in the Monkees, Music, & Madness” arrives Sept. 15.
And at 81, Dolenz isn’t showing much interest in slowing down. He told AARP he tries to exercise consistently, including visits to hotel fitness rooms while touring, although a recent mishap on a leg press offered a humorous reminder that even the last surviving Monkee has his limits.
“I injured my knee two weeks ago, got a little aggressive on a leg press,” he said. “I’ve got to just keep reminding myself I’m not 80 anymore.”

Lou Diamond Phillips Details 25-Pound 'Deep Dive' Transformation to Play Serial Killer Richard Ramirez
Throughout Lou Diamond Phillips’ career, one role required him to immerse himself in the life of a real-life killer, leading him to undergo a significant weight loss to portray serial killer Richard Ramirez.
In 2016, Phillips starred in The Night Stalker, a drama film that took a unique spin on the killers’ story. A drifter is accused of a heinous crime he didn’t commit, and the only way to prove his innocence is to get Ramirez to confess.
As many know, Ramirez is one of America’s most infamous serial killers who terrorized Los Angeles from 1984 to 1985 and killed at least 13 people. La Bamba actor had to not only get inside Ramirez’s head to play the role, but also portray his lean physique and fox-like appearance.
“I dropped, like, 25 lbs. because I was playing him at the end of his life when he died of lymphoma,” he told Elisa Donovan on an episode of the Killer Thriller podcast.
Ramirez was convicted of 13 counts of murder, five attempted murders, and 11 sexual assaults, and sentenced to death in 1989. While awaiting his execution, he died from complications of B-cell lymphoma in 2013 at the age of 53.
To play the role, Phillips also recalls having to “pull my eyes back a little bit” to accurately portray Ramirez’s “coyote look.” The actor says they “pulled them back and changed the shape of my eye,” and the added weight loss changed the shape of his cheekbones.
Related: ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Creator Reveals He’s ‘Not Involved’ in Spinoff Series by Charlie Hunnam
Playing the role of a serial killer isn’t an easy task, as Ramirez’s modus operandi often included lurking around neighborhoods looking for potential victims. The actor saw Ramirez as a “chilling guy” who was “incapable” of feeling sympathy over human suffering. To get into the role, Phillips even resorted to the same prowling techniques.
“I was just going to walk around for a while and if the windows were open, I was going to look into him from the street,” he explained. “That’s sort of what he did … like he was browsing in the produce section trying to figure out which apples he wanted. I parked in a neighborhood that wasn’t mine, had the hoodie, was going to walk up and down the streets and I passed a guy, you know, who was walking his dog. And as I passed him, he went, ‘Hey, Lou Diamond! Love your work.’”
Phillips has been one of the more notable actors to portray the killer on screen. In 1989, the TV movie Manhunt: Search for the Night Stalker explored his story with Gregory Cruz in the role. Various documentaries and limited series have also explored the real-life cases and accounts surrounding the murders.
Mick Fleetwood, 79, Dances in His Closet for a Surprising Reason—and It Involves ZZ Top’s Frank Beard
Mick Fleetwood knows exactly how to honor ZZ Top legend Frank Beard: By dancing in his closet to “Sharp Dressed Man.”
Fleetwood, 79, is known as the drummer and co-founder of the legendary band Fleetwood Mac, a staple of the music scene since the ’60s. With the band’s iconic 1977 album Rumours, they chronicled romance, heartbreak, and everything in between. But in the present day, Fleetwood is honoring his friend, ZZ Top star Frank Beard, who died on Aug. 17. In a sweet video, Fleetwood sported a variety of stylish outfits in his closet in honor of Beard.
“Had to bring this back!! Sharp Dressed Man… in honor of Frank Beard!!🥁🙏🏼 #zztop,” Fleetwood captioned the video.

Fleetwood Just Got MarriedFleetwood himself has seen plenty of romance over the years, with four divorces under his belt. However, the ponytailed maestro celebrated his recent nuptials with a new Instagram post back in April.
“The south Pacific does its magic !!! A honeymoon with my love Elizabeth…creating moments to be remembered !! Sun health and happiness!!” Fleetwood captioned his photo carousel, covering all photos featuring Elizabeth’s face and head. The couple can be seen puckering up in front of the water with the stunning landscape of the South Pacific behind them.

The group frequently parties together on Maui, like a bunch of rock stars can.
View this post on Instagram Will There Be a Fleetwood Mac Reunion? No. Don’t get your hopes up for a Fleetwood Mac reunion, because without Christine McVie, who died in 2022, it’s not going to happen.
“Without Christine, no can do,” Stevie Nicks told MOJO in 2024. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”
While the band has reunited without McVie in the past, Nicks made it clear it just wouldn’t be the same.
“Even if I thought I could work with Lindsey again, he’s had some health problems,” Nicks continued. “It’s not for me to say, but I’m not sure if Lindsey could do the kind of touring that Fleetwood Mac does, where you go out for a year and a half. It’s so demanding.”
1971 Hit by The Doors, Originally Disliked by Producer, Ranked Among 'Greatest American Rock Albums' of All Time
The Doors became one of the most influential acts in rock history for their psychedelic and blues-rock style, poetic lyrics and impressive theatrical performances, but their 1971 hit album L.A. Woman continues to cement its place in music history.
In a list shared by Collider, the publication named the 10 Greatest American Rock Albums of All Time.
Securing fourth place was The Doors’ L.A. Woman, alongside Hotel California by Eagles, Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys and Nevermind by Nirvana, which topped the list.
According to the ranking, the 1971 record highlighted the band’s shift toward a raw, blues-influenced rock sound.
With the band composed of Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore, tracks such as “Love Her Madly” and “Riders on the Storm” contributed to the success of the studio album.
The Doors organist Ray Manzarrek; lead singer Jim Morrison; drummer John Densmore; and guitarist Robby Krieger performing outside of Town Hall in Frankfurt.Released as The Doors’ final album with Morrison before his death in 1971, the record reflected their early, raw rock-and-roll roots, serving as a homecoming for their musical and spiritual sensibilities.
“Our last record turned out like our first album: raw and simple,” Densmore reflected in his autobiography, as cited on the band’s website. “It was as if we had come full circle. Once again we were a garage band, which is where rock & roll started.”
Before the album’s massive success, The Doors received an unfavorable response from producer Paul Rothchild after presenting the new material.
In November 1970, they played the unfinished songs for Rothchild, but he was unimpressed and walked away from the recording session.
Rothchild bluntly called “Riders on the Storm” “cocktail music,” while “Love Her Madly” was the track that drove him out of the studio.
“The material was bad, the attitude was bad, the performance was bad,” the producer mentioned in the Morrison biography No One Here Gets Out Alive. “After three days of listening, I said, ‘That’s it!’ on the talk-back and cancelled the session.”
Thankfully, their longtime audio engineer Bruce Botnick, who worked on their previous albums, stepped in and produced it with the band.
Apart from L.A. Woman being their last album with the original lineup, it was also recorded in their “private rehearsal space.”
“Rothchild was gone, which is one reason why we had so much fun,” guitarist Krieger told Guitar World in 1994, adding, “The warden was gone.”
“Love Her Madly” was the highest-charting song from L.A. Woman, while the sixth studio album climbed to No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
In 2021, The Doors released a 50th-anniversary deluxe edition to commemorate the album’s decades-long legacy.
Remarkably, the album continues to rank among the greatest rock albums of all time.
Bonnaroo Unexpectedly Cancels 2027 Festival: Here Is Why ‘The Farm’ Is Shutting Down
Fans of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival are getting some disappointing news: the 2027 event has been canceled.
The announcement came in an Instagram post shared on Friday, Aug. 21, explaining that the annual festival in Manchester, Tenn., will not return in 2027 to “rest and recover” after facing “back to back years of storms.”
Bonnaroo thanked fans for attending the festival since its inaugural event in 2002. Past performers have included musicians such as The Strokes, Kesha, Rüfüs du Sol, Teddy Swims, The Neighbourhood, along with other acts.
The post added a lengthy caption sharing more about why the decision was made.
“To our Bonnaroo Family, THANK YOU for an epic Bonnaroo 2026. Our hearts are filled to the brim from the weekend that we shared in June. The Farm remains as special as ever, and for a few days, we were once again reminded of the good things in this world,” it read.
“As you know, we spent a great deal of effort and money working to improve the campgrounds and Centeroo in the months leading into the 2026 festival,” the caption continued. “That included improved drainage, 4.5 miles of new roadways, and 135 acres of new grass, all which strengthened The Farm’s resiliency to Mother Nature. With limited time to recuperate from back to back years of storms, including the heavy rainstorm on Sunday this year, The Farm, particularly the main venue, needs a break to rest and recover.”
It ended stating: “We hope you’ll continue radiating positivity in your community throughout the year and thank you for loving this festival as much as we do.”
Bonnaroo canceled the festival in 2025 after its Thursday night shows faced extreme weather. In 2026, Sunday performances were also delayed due to weather.
Big Changes Are Coming to Walmart Stores Nationwide and Shoppers Say It's 'About Time!'
In our modern world, convenience is everything. From the way we shop to the timely manner in which things are delivered to our homes, if convenience isn’t a big part of the equation, there’s less reason to spend your hard-earned money.
Which brings us to Walmart and the recent announcement of major changes that shoppers say should have been implemented long ago. Starting Aug. 24, tap to pay, also known as contactless payment, is finally coming to Walmart and Sam’s Club stores nationwide, joining thousands of other retailers.

The best thing about modern checkout lines is the option to either do self-checkout or deal with an actual cashier. The second-best thing is tap to pay. Truly one of the most convenient inventions of our time, being able to pay by tapping your phone or credit card not only makes checking out more seamless, but it also adds to the hands-free experience that makes shopping even more stress-free.
The thing is, Walmart has historically been behind the game when it comes to contactless payments, making this first step toward a better checkout system even more monumental. Starting Aug. 24, the retail giant will begin adding tap to pay to select Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations, with plans to roll it out to all U.S. stores and clubs by the end of 2026. In addition, all fuel stations will also be upgraded with tap to pay by mid-2027.
Shoppers Are Thrilled With the News“Bruh IT’S ABOUT TIME,” one shopper raved in response to the news shared on Instagram. “Could’ve been making way more money. A lot of people be forgetting they cards in the car or at home.”
Another commenter confirmed the sentiment, writing, “the number of times I hade to walk back to the car 😂😂.”
“THANK YOU,” a third fan chimed in. “Because I’ve left full carts and went to Safeway because of this!”

By aligning the checkout process more closely with modern retail, Walmart is giving customers and members another familiar way to pay for groceries, gifts and everyday essentials. Not only that, customers and members with eligible Walmart, Sam’s Club and OnePay cards can also add them to their digital wallets, giving shoppers the choice to use tap to pay with either their phone or card.
With convenience being a top priority for customers, tap to pay is likely to become a worthwhile investment for Walmart and Sam’s Club as a whole, despite being a bit late to the game. In addition to other payment methods already offered at Walmart, including cash, credit cards and Walmart Pay, customers will now have even more flexibility when shopping for the things they need.

Where Will Archie and Lilibet Go to School? Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Secret UK School Plans
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the bombshell announcement yesterday that they will be living back in the U.K. by the end of August, and it has been confirmed that their children will attending British schools at the start of term in September.
Their parents have already enrolled 7-year-old Prince Archie and 5-year-old Princess Lilibet at schools in the U.K.
So where will Archie and Lilibet be educated? For now, the names of the schools remain a closely guarded secret, as does the location of the Sussexes’ new residence.
What we do know is that they will not be living in London, with reports suggesting that the couple will be moving to a non-royal residence in the countryside.
What We Know About Archie and Lilibet’s U.K. School PlansPossibilities include the Cotswolds, a rural region in the U.K. famed for its rolling hills and honey-colored stone buildings.
When Harry and Meghan visited the U.K. last month with their children they were reported to have stayed at the home of a wealthy associate.
The residence is located on the Great Tew Estate, which is the location of the farmhouse Harry and Meghan lived in before their marriage in 2018.
Their Cotswolds dream didn’t lost long though, as they were forced to move due to security concerns after the location of their home was disclosed.
It is in the Cotswolds that Harry and Meghan’s long-awaited and much-publicized reunion with King Charles III and Queen Camilla took place, with the king and queen receiving the Sussex family at Highgrove House, Charles’ beloved country estate.
The Cotswolds are sometimes referred to as ‘Britain’s Beverly Hills.’ American power couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi currently live in the Cotswolds, while David and Victoria Beckham also maintain a property there.
The Cotswolds is home to the country offshoot of exclusive members’ club Soho House, Soho Farmhouse, where Meghan had her hen party ahead of her and Harry’s star-studded wedding.

It is at Soho House in London where Harry and Meghan first met.
Another possibility for the Sussexes’ choice of home is near Princess Diana‘s ancestral family estate in Northampton.
Diana’s brother Earl Spencer hosted Harry and Meghan and their children at Althorp House during their week in the U.K.
A photo later posted by Meghan to Instagram featured Archie and Lili walking ahead of her holding bunches of flowers, giving rise to speculation that it captured Archie and Lili on their way to visit their late grandmother Diana’s grave.
Diana is buried on a secluded island at the centre of an ornamental lake in the depths of Althorp Park.
It’s not clear yet whether Harry and Meghan will put their $14.65 million mansion in Montecito, California, on the market.
The Sussexes purchased the Chateau of Riven Rock in 2020, and have raised their children amidst the estate’s tiered rose gardens, Italian cypress trees, swathes of lavender, and olive trees that are over one hundred years old.
Following the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare in 2023, Charles officially evicted the Sussexes from their U.K. residence in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Frogmore House was the couple’s UK residence that was a grace-and-favor wedding ‘gift’ from Queen Elizabeth II to Harry when he married Meghan.
The $2.9m for refurbishments was provided from the Sovereign Grant, an allowance that the government provides to the queen based on profits from the Crown Estate (a collection of lands and holdings in the United Kingdom belonging to the British monarch.)
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex eventually paid back this money following their ‘freedom flight’ from the UK.

1967 Rock Song, With 22-Year-Old Singer From Chicago, Is Still a Generational Hit 59 Years Later
“Bend Me, Shape Me” gave a Chicago band its biggest breakthrough, and decades later, its unmistakable sound resurfaced in an unexpected ’90s rock hit.
Released by The American Breed in 1967, the buoyant rocker featured 22 year-old Chicago native Gary Loizzo on lead vocals. Its punchy rhythm, bright horns, and instantly memorable chorus carried the group onto the national charts, creating a signature recording whose influence would stretch well beyond the 1960s.
The song didn’t originate with the band.
Written by Scott English and Larry Weiss, “Bend Me, Shape Me” was first recorded by the Outsiders before The American Breed put its own stamp on the composition. The Chicago group’s energetic arrangement emphasized the song’s pop hooks and brass, giving it the exuberant sound that ultimately connected with a much wider audience.
The record quickly took off.
“Bend Me, Shape Me” climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming The American Breed’s highest-charting single. The success also carried overseas, where a version recorded by the British group Amen Corner became a major hit in its own right.
For The American Breed, however, nothing else would quite match its impact.
The group continued releasing music through the end of the decade, but “Bend Me, Shape Me” remained its calling card. Loizzo later moved behind the scenes, building a successful career as a recording engineer and working with artists including Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Bad Company.
“When I mix live, I hit you in the face with it!” Loizzo later shared. “If I miss it, you miss it — and you’ll never hear it again in that song. So I mix live as a caricature. I’m pushing things out at people all the time. If I don’t see an audience reaction where there is normally one, I missed it. So that’s the difference between studio mixing and live mixing — one’s a collage, and one’s a caricature. And once I found that out, I became comfortable with mixing live.”
And yet, the song’s musical DNA also turned up in a very different era.
More than 30 years after The American Breed’s recording, Garbage interpolated elements of “Bend Me, Shape Me” into its 1998 song “I Think I’m Paranoid,” released on the band’s second album, Version 2.0. The connection offered a surprising bridge between the polished pop-rock of the late ’60s and the alternative rock landscape of the late ’90s.
“Arguably it was the first fully digital album ever,” Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson told Louder in 2026. “It was certainly one of the first using technology that not many people knew much about. We didn’t know what it could do or what the limitations were.”
Fifty-nine years after its release, “Bend Me, Shape Me” remains an infectious snapshot of 1967 pop and rock. From its Top 5 chart run to its unexpected reappearance in Garbage’s music decades later, The American Breed’s defining hit has proved remarkably difficult to leave behind.
Lisa Kudrow Reveals the Casting Criticism She Faced Before Friends
For millions of viewers, Lisa Kudrow was Phoebe Buffay. But before Friends turned her into one of television’s most recognizable comedic performers, Kudrow says she encountered a Hollywood standard that made her wonder whether she had the right look for sitcoms.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kudrow recalled being told that she did not look like the women typically being cast as series regulars. She said the industry wanted actresses who were “very pretty and appealing,” and remembered being told, “It’s very hard because you’re not gorgeous, and they want gorgeous.”
Kudrow, now 63, did not describe the experience as something that destroyed her confidence. Instead, her response was remarkably matter-of-fact. She acknowledged that appearance was part of casting, while also pointing out that acting ability mattered. She said she was not “cute” and added that she did not particularly want to be.

Kudrow ultimately landed the role of Phoebe, the eccentric massage therapist and musician whose optimism, oddball humor and unconventional worldview made her one of the show’s most beloved characters. Friends ran for 10 seasons from 1994 through 2004, with Kudrow starring alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
The actress also reflected on how she was perceived even after becoming part of one of television’s biggest ensembles. In an earlier interview Kudrow recalled feeling like “the sixth Friend” and said people within her talent agency treated her as though she was fortunate simply to have landed the role.
The woman who was once told she lacked the conventional appearance expected of a sitcom regular became the performer responsible for some of Friends‘ most enduringly strange and memorable moments.
Kudrow’s experience also speaks to something familiar to anyone who has ever been told they did not quite fit the expected mold. Sometimes the quality that appears to make someone an unlikely choice becomes the very thing audiences remember.

Hayden Panettiere’s Death Update: Brian Hickerson's Brother Breaks Silence, Details Her Final Moments
Brian Hickerson, the on-again, off-against boyfriend of Hayden Panettiere, was with the actress when she died, and now Brian’s brother is providing some new details.
Zach told TMZ that Brian gave Panettiere the Narcan, which is a fast-acting medicine often used in the case of opioid overdoses, after she was found unconscious. He told the outlet that the reason he was at the Greenville, South Carolina, residence was that he had not heard from them and woke Brian up from his nap, at which point they discovered Panettiere in cardiac arrest. According to him, as he called 911, Brian administered the Narcan.
Zach shared a full statement with TMZ, detailing the full events of what occurred on Sunday, Aug. 16, which is when Panettiere died.
Here is the statement:
“There are a lot of assumptions, speculations and accusations currently swirling. The truth will come out as the authorities complete and release additional details from the investigation. And that is important because the people who loved and adored Hayden deserve the truth.
“At this time, I want to clarify my involvement in effort to keep the focus on the fact that we lost one of the most precious individuals on this earth and to allow those that cared about her to mourn without additional noise, chaos, and misinformation being created and propagated by the media as well as the public.
“On Sunday morning, I woke up at my Airbnb, got dressed and went to Church. I exchanged messages that morning with Brian on my way. We planned on us all getting lunch and playing indoor golf after the service.
“When I left church I called and texted both of them. When I didn’t reach Brian or Hayden, I just assumed maybe they fell back asleep so I drove over and went to the Airbnb. When I got there I knew the code to the building but not the door code to the AirBnb.
“I knocked loudly which apparently woke Brian up from a nap they were both taking on the pull out couch bed in the living room. When we went in and tried to wake Hayden up for lunch, we realized she was unconscious.”
“I immediately called 911 and Brian gave her Narcan. We then jointly performed CPR while 911 was on speaker until Fire and EMS arrived. At that point we watched as they tried every measure possible to save her life.”
“I am beyond heartbroken and devastated by this tragic and traumatic loss. Hayden was one of my dearest and closest friends that I loved and cared about for the last 8 years. Out of respect for her loved ones, the speculation and sensationalism of her death needs to end until the facts can be released from the investigation.”
Country Legend Nearing 80, Known as 'The Forgotten Outlaw' Releases New Album
Ray Wylie Hubbard is approaching 80, but the Texas country legend isn’t showing much interest in slowing down.
The singer-songwriter released his 20th studio album, Reel 2 Reel 4 Real, on Friday, Aug. 21. The new record arrives just a few months before Hubbard’s 80th birthday, and its raw, guitar-heavy sound is anything but subdued.
The album leans into the gritty Texas rock and country-blues style Hubbard has developed throughout his five-decade career. Described as “snarly” and “downright punchy,” the 10-track collection was recorded with an intentionally stripped-down approach.
And Hubbard isn’t treating his age as a reason to ease up.
Hubbard, who turns 80 in November, has been making music since the 1970s, when he became part of the progressive country scene in Texas alongside artists including Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and Jerry Jeff Walker.
His early career included the song “Up Against the Wall, Redneck,” which became closely associated with the Texas progressive-country movement after Jerry Jeff Walker and the Lost Gonzo Band recorded their version for Viva Terlingua! in 1973.
But Hubbard’s career has continued to evolve well beyond that early reputation. His music now combines country, blues and rock with the dark humor and storytelling that have become his trademarks.
He has described his approach as “funky literature,” and that sensibility runs throughout Reel 2 Reel 4 Real.
The new album opens with “Cassette Mix Tape,” a nostalgic, autobiographical-feeling song about a teenage road trip featuring a stolen Chevy Vega and a soundtrack of Golden Earring, Neil Young, the Rolling Stones and Bob Seger.
The record also includes “A Murder of Crows,” “Look What the Cat Drug In,” “Gods Playing Poker” and “The Night.”
The New Album Features a Rock LegendHubbard didn’t make the album entirely on his own.
His son, Lucas Hubbard, plays guitar and co-wrote “Gods Playing Poker,” while Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers also appears on the record.
Campbell’s involvement came about after he contacted Hubbard and told him that Ringo Starr had praised Hubbard’s songwriting. Campbell then invited Hubbard to his Los Angeles studio, where they recorded two songs together.
“It was a blazing experience,” Hubbard said of the session. “I’m pretty impressed with myself.”
The album was recorded partly in Austin with producer Jonathan Tyler and partly in Los Angeles with Campbell. Several tracks were recorded directly to analog tape, helping preserve the rough-edged sound Hubbard wanted.
