Christen Parmley, 22, Bourbon, was killed in a vehicle accident at the 250 mile marker early Sunday morning around 2 a.m.
Parmley was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes and was struck by a tractor trailer. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man overturned his Dodge pickup on I-44 Wednesday afternoon just before 3 p.m. He appeared to be fine but was still taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital.

Sullivan police are investigating the vandalism of more than eight mailboxes late Saturday night, Jan. 23, or early Sunday morning, Jan. 24.
Sullivan police chief, George R. Counts, reported that officers were called to the area of 1041 Elmont Rd. for a report of property damage to a mailbox at 7:42 a.m. on Sunday morning.

A Franklin County man received burns to his torso and legs on Friday in a methamphetamine explosion in a Franklin County home.

WASHINGTON — Sullivan upset fourth-seeded Washington 48-39 earlier tonight, moving on to the semifinals.
The Lady Eagles will face the No. 1 seed Eureka at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night. Eureka defeated E.H. Lyle in the first round on Monday night.

The Bourbon boys basketball team played their first home game of the season on Jan. 15 against Belle and came away with a 57-55 loss to their conference rivals. Evin Farris scored 24 points in the game.
