Watson’s Florist Moves To New Location Following 44 Years Downtown

Watson’s Florist and Gifts closed its doors in downtown Sullivan, but has opened new doors at 900 Elmont Road.

The business left its familiar location on West Main Street following 44 years.

According to Misty Cason, owner of Watson’s Florist, the opportunity became available for them to move to a new location that will provide them with more space in a newer facility.

“We are not changing anything in the business. It’s the same great shop and service, just a new location,” said Cason.

Cason took ownership during summer 2017 after the former owners decided to sell. The business opened in 1980.

“We are continuing to add to our gift ideas for customers, along with our floral arrangements that we provide for weddings, special events, holidays, funeral services and the “I love you” flower arrangements,” said Cason.

The business is a Sullivan staple and with the additional space and other improvements Cason looks to bring the business through the next 44 years.

“We are still open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the same phone number 573-468-8520,” said Cason.

The business will continue to offer delivery from Union to Steelville and provide FTD and BloomNet services.

“We look forward to our customers and new customers coming out to see the new location,” concluded Cason.

The business will join KTUI Radio and Brueske Scott Tax Preparation and Accounting in the facility at 900 Elmont Rd.
