Sharon Dell Bell Key, 82, of Sullivan, MO, passed away, Monday, March 25, 2024.

Sharon was born on April 25, 1941, in Sullivan, Missouri to the late Marvin Terrance Bell and Doris Della (Schmidt) Bell.

Sharon attended school and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1959. She was united in marriage to Larry Joe Key on March 19, 1960. They brought four children into the world, Brett, Blake, Gray and Bambi.

Sharon was a Christian lady and a wonderful wife and mother who always put her beloved Lord and family first. After her kids had entered school, she was employed outside the home, working as a waitress at Zeno’s Steakhouse, then for 12 years at Von Wiese Gear and then drove a school bus for preschoolers and hadicapped kids.

In her free time, Sharon enjoyed swimming, reading, dancing, hanging out at the river and horseback riding. However, spending time with her family was the most important treasured times in her life.

Sharon is survived by her beloved children: Brett Key and wife Laura of Springfield, Missouri, Blake Key and wife Candy of Stanton, Missouri, Gray Key of Sullivan, Missouri and Bambi Key Hempel and husband Jeff of Bourbon, Missouri; She had eight grandchildren: Chloe Sadowitz and husband Jared, Hanna Lord and husband Evan, Ian Key, Lydia Santiago and husband Alex all of Springfield, Missouri, Holly Turner and husband Cottrell of Saint Louis, Missouri, Chelsey Baker and husband Stephon of Stanton, Missouri, James Dean (JD) Hempel of Sullivan, Missouri, Tia Hempel Nunn and husband Justin of Saint Clair, Missouri; a host of great-granchildren; a brother, Terry Bell and wife Beverly of Virginia; two sisters, Carreen Mincemeyer and husband Bobby of Spring Bluff, Missouri and Sally Bell Weeks of Bourbon, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Larry Joe Key.

A Memorial Service will be 12 PM, Saturday, May 4, 2024 with a meal served directly after at The Ridge Church North Campus located at 131 Highway WW, Sullivan, Missouri 63080.

Visitation will be 11 AM, Saturday May 4, 2024 at the Ridge Church North Campus to observe photos and commemorate before the service.
