Mallory Shetley scored 24 points and Kya Harbour had 13 on Tuesday as the senior duo led Sullivan to a 59-34 win against Owensville in the regular season finale.
Sullivan rode a stellar defensive effort and clutch free throw shooting to a 43-30 victory against Rolla on Friday night in the Class 4 District 9 championship.
In a season that established new benchmarks and raised Sullivan's wrestling profile around the state, it was only fitting that Saturday would further a history-making campaign.
Sullivan seniors Evan Shetley and Tristan Brown will try to make history on Saturday when they wrestle for the state championships in their respective weight classes at Mizzou Arena.
They came to districts with lofty expectations.
They left as champions.
