Dr. Phil Was on 'Hannah Montana'?! 14 Iconic Celebrity Cameos You Completely Forgot
Happy 20 Years of Hannah Montana! All these years later, the Disney Channel series remains one of the most iconic sitcoms ever. We all remember the incredible music, sparkly wardrobe, family hijinks—and even the transition sounds! But looking back at the series now, one aspect of the show feels like a fever dream: the guest stars.
Because the series centered around a massive international pop sensation, Hollywood A-listers popped up in Miley's world on a regular basis. Sure, it made total sense when Disney Channel peers like Selena Gomez and theJonas Brothers stopped by. But a daytime television psychologist giving Miley driving therapy? Larry David anxiously awaiting a restaurant table? An acclaimed mob-movie star playing a strict high school principal? Only on Hannah Montana!
It turns out, the Hollywood set was the ultimate revolving door for some of the biggest—and most wildly unexpected—names in Hollywood. From late-night legends to WWE heavyweights, here are 14 totally iconic Hannah Montana celebrity guest stars that will make you do a double take.
1. Dr. PhilPhoto by Eric McCandless on Getty Images
When Miley starts having an absolute meltdown about her fear of driving and her inability to parallel park, Dr. Philsuddenly manifests in the passenger seat of her mind. He proceeds to give her a signature, tough-love therapy session right there in the car to help her get over her phobia. It is pure comedy gold and a truly unexpected crossover—and possibly the second best Disney Channel car scene ever. (The PRNDL will always take first!)

2. Larry David Fun fact: In 2017, Larry hosted SNL, while Miley was that week's musical guest!Photo by: Rosalind O'Connor/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images via Getty Images
In perhaps the most delightful cameo in Disney Channel history, the Curb Your Enthusiasm creator appeared as himself in the Season 2 episode "My Best Friend's Boyfriend." LD is seen waiting for a table at a fancy restaurant, only for Hannah/Miley to immediately snag one as soon as she arrives. His real-life daughters watch it all go down and one of them says, "Face it dad, she's bigger than you."
Another detail behind this cameo that makes this one especially fun? Larry had taken his daughters to a taping because they were huge fans and the producers asked him to do an appearance. Of course, the doting dad obliged and gave us this gem. Shoutout to whoever gave this clip the Curb Your Enthusiasm treatment!
3. Ray Liotta Liotta attended the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert movie premiere with his daughter, Karsen, in 2008.Photo by Jaimie Trueblood on Getty Images
In a truly unexpected piece of casting, the late, great Goodfellas star appeared in the Season 4 episode "Hannah Montana to the Principal's Office." Ray Liotta played Principal Luger, the strict, no-nonsense principal of Seaview High. When Miley misses the deadline to register for her senior year, Luger rigidly refuses to let her enroll.
However, she quickly realizes a major loophole: She can just enroll as Hannah Montana instead! It turns out the intimidating Principal Luger is actually a massive, starstruck Hannah Montana fan, and he happily bends all the rules to let the pop star attend his school. Seeing a legendary mob-movie tough guy completely geek out over Hannah Montana is one piece of Disney Channel history that we will never forget.
4. Dwayne 'The Rock' JohnsonWay before he was the highest-paid action star in Hollywood, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson guest starred in Season 2's "Don't Stop 'Til You Get the Phone." In a desperate bid to get a tabloid to hand over a photo that would reveal her secret identity, Miley has to provide the paparazzi with an embarrassing photo of another celebrity in exchange.
Miley and Lilly masquerade as complimentary hotel beauticians, tricking the massive wrestler into getting a full-blown spa makeover. Ultimately, Miley's conscience gets the better of her and The Rock eventually helps her get her photo back by casually dangling the paparazzi guy upside down!

The WWE superstar appeared as himself in a Season 4 dream sequence to give Jackson some brutal, physical motivation to finally finish reading To Kill a Mockingbird. Stepping right out of a wrestling magazine, Cena delivers his iconic Attitude Adjustment in the Stewart living room.

6 and 7. Donny Osmond and Ray RomanoIn this Season 2 episode, Donny Osmond guest stars as a charity event's fast-talking auctioneer. First up on the block is Everybody Loves Raymond star Ray Romano, who's auctioning off a round of golf with himself. After practically begging the unimpressed teenage crowd, Oliver ends up calling out $11 in a pity bid. Next on the auction block? A dinner date with Hannah Montana, which quickly reaches $15,000. Watching Romano and Osmond's banter is a lot of fun:
@therealdonnyosmondBoy, was I sassy to Ray Romano or what! 😂 I had so much fun playing this character on Hannah Montana back in 2009. Filming with @mileycyrus and the rest of the crew was a blast. I loved being part of so many amazing TV shows over the years! I still do. 😉 #DonnyOsmond #HannahMontana #MileyCyrus #RayRomano

8. Sheryl Crow Miley Cyrus (as Hannah Montana) and Sheryl CrowPhoto by Craig Sjodin on Getty Images
The Grammy-winning rocker played herself in the Season 4 episode "It's the End of the Jake As We Know It." The pair teamed up for a spectacular, twangy duet of the song "Need a Little Love" during a televised holiday special. Over the years, they've expressed mutual admiration for one another and performed together at events—including at VH1 Divas 2009, when the two sang a live duet of Crow's hit "If It Makes You Happy."
9. Jay LenoPhoto by Eric McCandless/Disney Channel via Getty Images
The late-night legend is a big part of Hannah Montana history. In the Season 4 two-part episode "I'll Always Remember You," Leno hosts Hannah on The Tonight Show. And it's where she makes the ultimate, series-defining decision: She takes off her blonde wig and reveals her true identity as Miley Stewart to the entire world. Having an icon like Jay Leno anchor the biggest moment in the HM universe made the reveal feel so realistic!

10. Jon Cryer Miley Cyrus, Jon Cryer and Emily OsmentPhoto by Dean Hendler on Getty Images
The Two and a Half Men star had a recurring role as Ken Truscott, Lilly's goofy but well-meaning accountant father.
Years later, Cyrus guest starred in two episodes of Two and a Half Men. "Miley was just on fire, did fantastic," he told ABC News. "She was lovely, we had a great time."
And Emily Osment joined in on the fun in a separate episode! "Even though I only played her dad for, like, two weeks on Hannah Montana, now I see her as this grown woman," Cryer told AV Club. "And a little tear still comes to your eye, because you're like, 'Oh, my gosh, she grew up!'"
11. Camryn ManheimThe Emmy-winning actress was flawless as Margo, the fiercely protective and ruthless manager of Hannah's pop star rival, Mikayla (played by a young Selena Gomez). Her blistering, fast-paced insult battles with Robby Ray are hilarious. This video isn't the highest quality, but gives you an idea of how she brought the character to life!
Her son is Zombies alum Milo Manheim—he's set to star as Flynn Rider in Disney's upcoming live-action Tangled movie. But he revealed in an interview with YSBnow that she actually took the part just so he could meet Selena Gomez!
12. Brooke Shields Miley Cyrus and Brooke Shields appear together on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2008.Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images via Getty Images
In one of the show's most emotional recurring roles, Brooke Shields played Susan Stewart, Miley and Jackson's late mother. Appearing in touching dream sequences and flashbacks—most notably when a terrified Miley is facing throat surgery and is afraid of losing her singing voice—Shields provided crucial maternal guidance right when Miley needed it most.

13. Dolly Parton "There's a chemistry, and a realness, and a love and a connection that her and I have that I really feel," Miley says of Dolly.Photo by Joel Warren/Disney Channel via Getty Images
We absolutely cannot talk about Hannah Montana guest stars without bowing down to Aunt Dolly. The country music legend played a slightly heightened version of herself, occasionally stopping by to offer her signature big hair, sparkling wisdom and Southern charm. I will never forget interviewing Miley and saying how cool it is that Dolly is on the show. She casually said something like, "Oh yeah! She's my godmother!" I still smile when I think about it. Two absolute legends.

What Is ‘Fruit Love Island’? The Viral AI Trend Taking Over Your Feed, Explained
If you’ve seen colorful, hyper-real clips of bananas flirting or strawberries coupling up and wondered what on earth you were watching, you’re not alone. The internet’s latest obsession—often searched as "Fruit Love Island"—is a bizarre but wildly entertaining mashup of reality TV and artificial intelligence.
If you’ve been wonder what "Fruit Love Island" even is, I'm here to help. Mostly, it’s a viral AI trend that turns fruit into reality TV stars.
But there's a little more to it than that. So, as the influencers say, "Let's get into it."
What Is 'Fruit Love Island'?"Fruit Love Island" isn’t an official show—it’s a fan-created trend powered by AI. Creators are using artificial intelligence tools to generate videos that mimic the format of Love Island, but with a surreal twist: the "contestants" are fruits.
Think animated apples, bananas and peaches paired up, narrating their "relationships," and going through dramatic re-couplings just like the real show, only completely AI-generated.
The concept was created by @ai.cinema021 and with new episodes coming out each day, fans are hooked.
How the Trend WorksThe "Fruit Love Island" trend pulls together several types of AI:
- AI-generated visuals (creating lifelike or cartoon-style fruit characters)
- AI voiceovers that sound eerily human
- Script generation that mimics the tone of reality dating shows
People are trying to figure out how these clips are made. In short, it’s all synthetic content, built using accessible AI tools and a lot of creativity.
Why It’s Going ViralPart of the appeal is how oddly convincing it is. The pacing, narration and editing mirror Love Island so closely that it feels familiar—even when the "cast" is entirely made of fruit.
Then there are the viewers trying to decode what they’re watching and how it’s being made.
There’s also a humor factor. The contrast between serious reality-TV drama and completely absurd characters (like a dramatic mango or a jealous grape) makes the content instantly shareable and something worth mentioning, at least in then group chat.
Is It an Official 'Love Island' Project? No—this has no official connection to Love Island.
It’s entirely fan-made and AI-generated, falling into a broader wave of experimental AI content that blends pop culture formats with unexpected subjects.
The Bigger AI Trend Behind It"Fruit Love Island" is just one example of how quickly AI-generated entertainment is evolving. Similar trends—often labeled “fruit island ai” or “love island ai”—show how creators are remixing familiar formats into something totally new.
Unfortunately for me (but fortunately for many?), this is probably just the beginning of even stranger (and more addictive) AI mashups to come.

4 Key Personality Traits of People Born in October
Fans of autumn might appreciate the final days of September for their early harvest time tone and November for the pre-holiday spirit it inspires, but the month they adore the most is undoubtedly October. After all, the tenth month of the year brings peak fall energy, offering up endless opportunities to go for a hay ride, pick pumpkins, sip cider, decorate your house for Halloween, and potentially, depending on where you live, enjoy jewel-hued leaves fluttering down from trees as the temperature gets crisper and the winds get brisker. Sharing these moments with loved ones is a must, and with the year’s end plainly in sight, we might also be fired up to step into our power and claim what’s ours sooner versus later. This point of view is brought to you by the astrological energies that run the show in October.
Whether you’re an October-born person yourself or you care about someone who is, keep reading to learn how the tenth month of the year influences a person’s perspective, strengths, and even challenges.
The Astrology of Being Born in OctoberPeople born in October fall under one of two zodiac signs: partnership-oriented, beauty-adoring Libra (September 23 - October 22) or powerful, dynamic, mysterious Scorpio (October 23 - November 21). People born when the sun is moving through Libra, symbolized by the Scales, are peacemakers who prize diplomacy, harmony, balance, and beauty. They’re social butterflies and hosts with the most who live for a perfectly curated get-together. At the same time, because the sign is associated with the Seventh House of Partnership, they prioritize one-on-one bonds and feel at their most centered and blissful when they’re paired up with someone else, be that a beloved significant other or dear, lifelong best friend. As the cardinal air sign, they are keen to take the initiative and think in a visionary, big picture sense. Meanwhile, people who came into the world when the sun was in Scorpio, symbolized by the Scorpion, are bold, intense, commanding, secretive, powerful, and intimacy-seeking. They prefer relating to others in a way that allows them to really go beneath the surface. As the fixed water sign, they’re laser-focused, magnetic, and compelled to achieve personal growth through transformative, emotionally-driven experiences. In turn, these energies lead October-born people to be charismatic, engaging, romantic, and even a bit magical.
4 Core Personality Traits of Those Born in October1. Achievement-OrientedPeople born when the sun was moving through Libra are innately competitive and want to make their mark by infusing the world with a bit more balance, beauty, justice, and harmony. They’re go-getters who will take the initiative and have no trouble sharing their big picture ideas with others. Meanwhile, those who came into the world when the sun was in Scorpio are determined to claim power by stepping into leadership positions, taking the reins on an existing power position, or simply being the obvious ruler of their corner of the world. Either way, October-born people are clearly interested in setting ambitious goals and making impressive moves to win.
2. Relationship-FocusedPeople who are born when the sun is in Libra live for pairing up with a dear friend, loved one, or significant other. They thrive on one-on-one bonding time and feel like they can be even more effective at accomplishing whatever they’ve set out to do by being one half of a dynamic duo. At the same time, those who come into the world when the sun is making its way through Scorpio are focused on building intimacy within their closest bonds. They’ll gladly ask tough questions and even get into taboo subjects in order to better understand and connect with their nearest and dearest. Both signs’ prioritization of connecting with others in a meaningful way reflects the heartfelt, “cuffing season” tone of this mid-fall month.
3. Steadfast in Their BeliefsBorn in a month that is unapologetically representative of spooky season and very much the heart of fall, people who enter the world in October aren’t quick to fold on their dreams, aspirations, values, or ideals. On the contrary, they’re incredibly committed to their world view and passions. Those who are more influenced by Libra might waver and struggle to choose a side, but their dedication to maintaining a balanced perspective and keeping the peace at all costs rarely wavers. They’ll go out of their way to keep a situation copacetic. And people who were born with a strong Scorpionic presence in their birth chart often dig their heels in on anything they’re passionate about — be that a lifelong professional ambition or a relationship they’ve dedicated themselves to for life.
4. ArtisticPeople who have strong Libra in their birth chart value art — especially when it brings more beauty into the world. Think: a gasp-inducing ballet performance, an eye-catching exhibit at your local museum, or a stunning fashion show. They’re also highly adept at bringing artistic flair into a space or experience, most often when they’re ideating, creating, and curating a memorable event with friends or colleagues. Meanwhile, Scorpionic people pour their deeply felt emotions into beloved creative outlets. And they don’t shy away from the dark, shadow side of life, preferring to let that actually inform their artistic self-expression. This characteristic echoes the inspired, self-expressive tone we’re all more apt to feel when we’re in the midst of this transformative fall moment.

Barry Keoghan Says Online Abuse Is So Bad He 'Doesn’t Go to Places'
Barry Keoghan says the online abuse about his appearance has gotten so bad that he no longer wants to leave the house.
The 33-year-old Oscar-nominated, BAFTA-winning actor opened up during a Friday, March 20 interview on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up, calling the situation a growing problem that's now affecting both his personal life and his career. "There's a lot of hate online," Keoghan said. "There's a lot of abuse of how I look, and it's kind of past the point of like — you know, everyone goes through that. And everyone does, but it's made me shy away. It's made me really go inside myself, and not want to attend places, not want to go outside."
He didn't stop there. "I don't have to hide away 'cause I am hiding away," he said. "I actually don't go to places because of these things."
Keoghan deactivated his Instagram account in December 2024 after relentless trolling. At the time, he wrote, "I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work. The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them.” He said he still checks the platform after events to see how things were received. "It's not nice," he said.
Barry Keoghan shares statement on why he deactivated his Instagram:
“I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work. The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting… pic.twitter.com/JUIshnqDH8
The criticism appeared to intensify after his split from Sabrina Carpenter in December 2024, with a wave of online trolling that followed him well beyond the breakup. In a November 2024 appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, he described how people were making videos picking apart his face, saying things like they dislike his features or think he looks "weird" or "evil."
The abuse has started to bleed into his work. "When that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem, because then you don't want to even be on screen anymore," he told SiriusXM. He also brought up his three-year-old son, Brando, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Alyson Sandro. "It is disappointing for the fans, but it's also disappointing that my little boy has to read all of this stuff when he gets older."
None of it has slowed down his career. Keoghan just appeared as Duke Shelby in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which premiered on Netflix on March 20. He's currently filming Sam Mendes' four-part Beatles cinematic event as Ringo Starr alongside Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, and Joseph Quinn, with all four films set to hit theaters in 2028. Up next is Kantemir Balagov's Butterfly Jam with Riley Keough and Harry Melling.
He made a point to acknowledge the people who have shown up for him. "I've been blessed that I've got an incredible fan base, and people are so lovely out there," he said. But as he made clear in the same breath, the noise from the other side has become impossible to tune out. And it's starting to cost him more than just a bad day online.
Why Travel Pros are Booking This New Hotel at the Tip of the World
This is one of those "only in 2026" travel updates that sounds like science fiction but is actually a total game-changer for your bucket list. For anyone who has ever dreamed of visiting Antarctica but dreaded the "Drake Shake"—that notoriously rocky two-day boat ride across the Drake Passage—Silversea just revealed a way to bypass the drama in total luxury.
The cruise line just unveiled the first look at The Cormorant at 55 South, which will officially become the southernmost hotel on Earth when it opens in October 2026. Located in Puerto Williams, Chile, it’s designed to be the ultimate "pit stop" for travelers using Silversea’s fly-cruise program. Instead of enduring the rough seas, you fly directly from Santiago to this remote outpost, stay a night at the edge of the world, and then hop a short flight straight to your ship in Antarctica.
“The Cormorant at 55 South represents an exciting new chapter for Silversea, extending our commitment to luxury travel to Antarctica,” saidBert Hernandez, president, Silversea in a press statement. “This unique property will offer our guests the same hallmark comfort and personalized service they expect while on board our ships and will immerse them in the rich culture, traditions, and natural beauty of the region. The interior spaces are thoughtfully designed to reflect the spirit of this extraordinary destination.”

View this post on InstagramThe interiors are exactly what you’d expect from a brand like Silversea—think cozy, high-end "Patagonian chic." The 150-room property features the Fireplace Lounge, designed for storytelling over fine Chilean wine and a restaurant called Latitude 55 that serves up regional staples like King Crab and Patagonian lamb. Even the rooms are a mood, featuring handcrafted items from local Chilean artisans and floor-to-ceiling views of the Beagle Channel.
While "southernmost hotel" might sound like a bit of a trivia fact, for the luxury traveler, it’s really about the seamlessness. By building their own private gateway at the tip of South America, Silversea is making one of the most rugged, difficult-to-reach destinations on the planet feel as easy as a weekend in the Hamptons. It’s a world-first that effectively bridges the gap to the deep south, ensuring your expedition starts with a pisco sour in a heated lounge rather than a seasickness patch on a rolling deck.

Bath & Body Works Is Breaking Up With Their Legendary Sales Model —and the Internet Isn't Taking It Well
For those customers whose linen closet is a collection of Winter Candy Apple candles snagged during a BOGO fever dream, they might want to preserve that memory in a scrapbook. The era of walking into a Bath & Body Works and tripping over a 70% off bin is coming to an end. In a move that’s raising eyebrows from suburban malls to Scent-Tok, the retailer has decided it’s officially too "innovative" for the deep discounts that made it a household name.
CEO Daniel Heaf didn't mince words during the company’s Q4 earnings call earlier this month. He told investors that the brand is moving away from being the budget-first option. “We have relied too often in the past on deeper and more frequent discounts," Heaf said, adding that moving forward, the company expects to "get paid for our innovation.”
For decades, the appeal of Bath & Body Works was the art of the sale. It was the place where $20 could buy an entire collection of home fragrances. But the new "Consumer First Formula" is a gamble that you’ll pay full price for upgraded containers and richer fragrance loads. Heaf was clear that the company no longer intends to use frequent markdowns to chase growth, stating bluntly, “We know that is not in the best interest of the business long term.”
The company claims they aren't trying to become a prestige brand with luxury price points, but they are cutting back the lever of deep discounts to shore up their bottom line. Chief Financial Officer Eva Boratto framed it as "rigorous cost control" to ensure "sustainable long-term growth."
The internet, however, is calling it a "rude awakening." On Reddit, the consensus is that the brand is having a total identity crisis. “Nothing about BBW screams luxury lmao. It’s a cheap fix and it’s always been,” one user noted. The sentiment among fans is determined: if the brand isn't a bargain, it loses its magic.
There’s also the very real threat of shoppers jumping ship to drugstore staples. As one customer pointed out, “I recently picked up an Olay body wash and it’s vastly more moisturizing than whatever new formula BBW body wash is. It may be a generic scent, but it’s lovely.”
In a retail landscape where the thrill of the hunt is half the fun, removing the "Buy 3, Get 3" sign is a massive risk. If the brand isn't a bargain, it risks falling into the "boring middle"—a place where even the best-smelling candle can't save the quarterly report. As one frustrated fan warned: “I do not buy Bath & Body Works full price. Your goal Sir, should be to GET people to that counter.”
Psychologist Says if You Have These 8 Habits, You Are Highly Emotionally Mature
These days, it's common to read all about emotional intelligence (EQ)—whether it's phrases to avoid, social cues that are noticed or colors that are linked to high EQs. Meanwhile, there's also emotional immaturity that's frequently discussed, and many of us are hoping we fall into the "mature" camp instead. But what is emotional maturity, exactly?
Maybe you're wondering if your parents or boss can be considered "emotionally mature." Maybe it's your relationship that has you questioning if the bond you have with your partner is healthy or unhealthy. Or, maybe you've understood that childhood trauma has followed you into adulthood and even if your parents meant well, you need to work on some of your go-to coping mechanisms that aren't truly serving your personal growth and emotional development.
Dr. Nicole LePera (aka "the Holistic Psychologist" with 9M Instagram followers), author of Reparenting the Inner Child: The New Science of Our Oldest Wounds and How to Heal Them (released March 24), is here to help. She not only shares her definition of emotional maturity and reveals eight clear signs of it, but she also reveals the surprising ways you can begin to reparent yourself, heal your inner child and become more emotionally mature "in small moments."

"Emotional maturity means being able to stay calm and present when something feels hard," Dr. LePera tells Parade. "It does not mean you never get upset. It means you notice your feelings and choose how to respond instead of reacting right away."
"Many of our big reactions are not planned," she continues. "They come from old memories stored in the body. When something reminds us of the past, our nervous system can react before we even think. Emotional maturity is being able to say, 'This feeling makes sense. But I can choose what to do now.' It is when your adult self can sit next to your younger, hurt self instead of becoming that younger self."
According to Dr. LePera, emotional maturity also means:
- You can calm your body.
- You can take responsibility for your actions.
- You can notice your feelings without attacking yourself.
- You understand that discomfort does not mean danger.
She adds, "Most of all, emotional maturity is feeling safe enough inside yourself to pause and choose."
8 Clear Signs of Emotional Maturity1. Pausing before reactingWhen you're emotionally mature, you're OK with biting your tongue and taking a beat instead of "word-vomiting" and potentially saying something you'd regret.
"You feel your heart race or your body tense," Dr. LePera says. "Instead of yelling or shutting down, you take a breath. That pause can change the whole moment."

People-pleasers, listen up.
"You can say, 'I’m sorry. I hurt you,' without thinking, 'I’m a terrible person,'" Dr. LePera tells Parade. "You learn from the mistake instead of drowning in guilt."

Emotional maturity means you're comfortable prioritizing what you truly need—even if it's not what someone else wants to hear.
"You can say no without being mean. You can say yes without feeling resentful. You speak honestly about what works for you," Dr. LePera explains.
4. Letting others feel differently"Someone can disagree with you, and you don’t fall apart," Dr. LePera says about being emotionally mature. "You understand that different opinions do not mean rejection."
Related: Men Who Haven't Matured Emotionally Usually Display These 10 Behaviors Without Realizing It, Psychologists Say
Emotional maturity doesn't mean you never bicker or fight—but it does mean you make things right.
Dr. LePera explains, "You come back after an argument and say, 'Can we try again?' You know that relationships grow stronger when people repair."
It can be difficult to acknowledge complicated or painful emotions, but facing them head-on is a sign of maturity.
"Instead of overworking, scrolling, overeating or avoiding, you stay with your feelings long enough to understand them," Dr. LePera says.

Even if you've previously had unfair expectations placed on you, like the parentification of eldest daughters or having to be the "peacekeeper" in your family, a sign of emotional maturity is stepping away from those roles and finding your own path.
"You stop believing you must always be 'the strong one' or 'the fixer.' You allow yourself to be human," Dr. LePera explains.

How To Let Go of Emotional Immaturity and Actually Heal Your Inner ChildBecoming more emotionally mature is a process—and it might take some time. That's OK.
"People often expect big breakthroughs," Dr. LePera tells Parade. "But real change often happens in small moments." She gives the following examples:
- Noticing your body.
- Taking a slow, deep breath.
- Speaking kindly to yourself.
- Repairing after conflict.
"Small, repeated actions teach your nervous system that it is safe," she explains.
This process of successfully healing your inner child might surprise some people.
"You do not have to relive every painful memory to heal," Dr. LePera explains. "Your body responds to safety in the present moment. Healing is about how you show up today."

And acknowledging the process itself can help you heal.
"Reparenting is not about staying stuck in the past—it is about noticing old patterns and choosing awareness instead of reflex," Dr. LePera shares, pointing out it's also not about holding grudges.
"It’s not about blaming your parents," she continues. "It’s about honoring what shaped you and deciding how you will respond now. Change takes time. The goal is not perfection. The goal is growth and a safe inner world."

'Hannah Montana' Turns 20 Today: Where Is the Cast Now?
When Miley Cyrusdebuted as a teen pop star living a secret double life on Hannah Montana, she was a relative unknown, famous only by association with her father, “Achy Breaky Heart” singer Billy Ray Cyrus. But the Disney Channel show, which premiered on March 24, 2006, making it 20 years old today, turned Miley and the rest of its young cast into household names, generating hit albums, sold-out concert tours and a successful movie.
The ultimate teen fantasy, Hannah Montana followed Miley Stewart, an ordinary girl by day and wig-wearing international superstar by night, along with her loyal BFF, off-the-wall brother, supportive dad and a circle of classmates and rivals.

Two decades later, the show’s stars have taken very different paths: some continued acting, others ditched the spotlight and one became, well, Miley Cyrus. Just in time for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, here’s a look at where the cast of Hannah Montana is now.
The 'Hannah Montana' Cast: Where Are They Now?1. Miley Cyrus Now (Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana)As the star of Hannah Montana, Cyrus played Miley Stewart, a farm girl turned California megastar, for five years.
“I love her. She’s everything,” Cyrus said of the character in 2025. “I would have nothing, none of this [without her]. I mean, maybe I could have figured it out, maybe I could have gotten myself from Nashville, Tennessee, to Los Angeles. I don’t know. But she did it a lot faster and better and set me up for the life that I have now.”
Still, once the show ended in 2011, it seemed Cyrus couldn’t ditch her Disney image fast enough. Her 2013 album Bangerz leaned heavily into hip-hop influences and featured lyrics about partying, sexuality and drug use. The era culminated in one of pop culture’s most headline-generating moments at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she performed “We Can't Stop” before joining Robin Thicke for a provocative rendition of his own controversial song “Blurred Lines.” Cyrus’s revealing outfit, twerking and overall shift in persona was met with a loud backlash.
“You are thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it,” Cyrus said of the hoopla at the time. “I didn’t even think about it when I did it because that’s just me.”
In the years since, Cyrus continued to reinvent her sound and public image again and again. She followed Bangerz with the psychedelic, experimental project Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz (2015), the country-leaning Younger Now (2017), the rock-influenced Plastic Hearts (2020) and the chart-topping Endless Summer Vacation (2023), which included her hit “Flowers,” the first song in her impressive catalogue to win her a Grammy. Altogether, Cyrus has released eight studio albums to date, five of which came after she said goodbye to Hannah Montana.
She’s also stayed active on screen, starring in LOL and an episode of Black Mirror (“Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too”), and serving as a coach on two seasons of The Voice, among other appearances.
On the personal front, Cyrus was married to Liam Hemsworth from 2018 to 2019, after dating him on-and-off from 2010. She’s now engaged to musician Maxx Morando.

Emily Osment played Lilly Truscott, Miley’s fiercely loyal best friend who helped keep her secret identity safe—and occasionally joined the spotlight herself under the name Lola Luftnagle. Osment already had a few notable credits before landing the role, including appearances in Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, and she transitioned smoothly into adult roles after Hannah Montana wrapped. She starred in the ABC Family sitcom Young & Hungry for five seasons and later joined the cast of Young Sheldon as Mandy McAllister, a role she continued in the spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
While she’s kept a slightly lower profile than her former co-star Cyrus, Osment has built one of the steadiest post-Disney acting careers among the Hannah Montana alumni.
"I spent a couple hundred Friday nights [on the set of Hannah Montana] instead of all the places a normal teenager should have been and it made me an adult faster than I could prepare myself for,” she once reflected on the experience. “However, I am grateful to have been handed a sense of accountability and purpose at such a young age because I still have it—and then some."

Jason Earles Now (Jackson Stewart) Jason Earles has a new podcast all about Hannah Montana.Photo by Paul Archuleta on Getty Images
One of the most mind-bending facts about the casting of Hannah Montana? Jason Earles was nearly 30 years old when he began playing Miley’s teenage brother, Jackson Stewart. But, hey, it worked: the character’s goofy personality and constant get-rich-quick schemes made him a fan favorite.
After Hannah Montana, Earles continued working with Disney, starring as martial arts instructor Rudy Gillespie on the Disney XD series Kickin’ It from 2011 to 2015. He’s also taken on voice roles and frequently appears at fan conventions. In addition to that, Earles has directed episodes of Disney shows like Kickin' It, and worked as a dialect coach and mentor on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. On March 17, 2026, in honor of the 20-year anniversary of Hannah Montana, he launched a podcast about the show called Best of Both Our Worlds: The Official, Unofficial Hannah Montana Podcast.
Mitchel Musso Today (Oliver Oken)Mitchel Musso played Oliver Oken, Miley and Lilly’s energetic best friend whose obsession with celebrity gossip made him especially thrilled when he discovered Miley’s secret identity.
During the show’s run, Musso expanded his Disney resumé by voicing Jeremy Johnson on the animated hit Phineas and Ferb and starring in the Disney XD series Pair of Kings. But his time on the network took a hit after a 2011 DUI arrest, which led to him being written out of Pair of Kings.
More than a decade later, Musso made headlines again when he was arrested in 2023 and charged with public intoxication and theft—of a bag of Ruffles potato chips from a hotel lobby. However, these charges were later dropped. "I foretold that the truth would inevitably come to light, and indeed, it has," he told Entertainment Weeklyin a statement. "I am now also directing my attention to forthcoming film and television projects."
Since then, he's largely stayed out of the spotlight. Musso last posted to Instagram in 2021.

Billy Ray Cyrus was already famous for his country music career, particularly his 1992 hit “Achy Breaky Heart,” when he signed on to Hannah Montana.
After the series wrapped, he appeared in the CMT sitcom Still the King, but his career didn’t get another massive boost until his 2019 collaboration with Lil Nas Xon the chart-topping track “Old Town Road,” which spent a historic 19 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.
Unfortunately, he next made headlines for his messy personal life, starting with his 2022 divorce from Tish Cyrus after 30 years of marriage. Soon after, Cyrus began dating Australian singer Firerose, whom he had first met years earlier on the set of Hannah Montana, and the pair married in October 2023. But by May 2024, their love story fell apart: Cyrus sought an annulment, accusing Firerose of fraud and inappropriate marital conduct, and she countered with allegations that Cyrus had been emotionally and verbally abusive. (They each denied the claims leveled against them by the other.) Their split was finalized in August 2024 without any big financial settlement.

During his four-season run as Rico Suave—the mischievous child entrepreneur who ran the beachside snack shack where Jackson worked—Moises Arias appeared on other Disney Channel shows including The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Wizards of Waverly Place and Phineas and Ferb.
But after Hannah Montana wrapped, the child actor jumped off the Disney train and carved out a more grown-up path for himself.
He’s appeared in films like The Kings of Summer, Ender’s Game and Five Feet Apart, but his most high-profile adult role to date is in the massive Amazon Prime Video hit Fallout, where he's become a fan favorite for his portrayal of Norm MacLean. When he’s not acting, he pours his creativity into his photography, which he regularly shares on Instagram.
Anna Maria Perez de Tagle Now (Ashley Dewitt)Every teen show needs its mean girls. One of those spots went to Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, who played Ashley Dewitt, the snobby best friend of Amber Addison. Ashley often clashed with Miley and Lilly while obsessing over celebrity culture—especially Hannah Montana.
Perez de Tagle was already working with Disney before joining the show, having appeared in the musical film Camp Rock alongside Demi Lovatoand theJonas Brothers. After Hannah Montana, she starred on Broadway in the Godspell revival at the Circle in the Square theater in New York City. While she’s largely stepped back from the screen to focus on family, she has popped up in a few projects—including an episode of Charmed in 2018. She married Scott Kline, Jr. in 2019 and they welcomed a daughter, Amelia, in June 2021.
In a full-circle moment, Perez de Tagle shared that the little girl’s first concert was the Jonas Brothers!

After Hannah Montana ended, she continued acting in guest TV roles, including on Awkward, Melissa & Joey and The Young and the Restless, and in TV movies like Megachurch Murder and Twice Bitten. Below, you'll find a clip from her Lifetime movie, Christmas on the Menu.
View this post on Instagram Cody Linley Now (Jake Ryan)Before starring as Jake Ryan, the teen heartthrob actor who became Miley’s on-again, off-again boyfriend on Hannah Montana, Cody Linley had already appeared in several films, including Cheaper by the Dozen and its sequel Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
During the show’s run he gained additional fame competing on Dancing with the Stars in 2008 (he partnered with Julianne Hough and placed fourth). In the years since, Linley has appeared in guest roles on Melissa & Joey and Young & Hungry with Osment, and in Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens, among other low-budget projects.
“I’m super honored to be a part of a legacy of nearly 20 years now,” he said. “I still get recognized as Jake Ryan, maybe till the day I die, and I’m okay with it. It was such a fun and special project to be a part of.”

How to See Washington, D.C.’s Cherry Blossoms While Avoiding the Crowds
No gatekeeping here– with peak cherry blossom bloom just days away in Washington, D.C., locals are getting excited to see their city swathed in pink by the delicate, flowering trees originally gifted to the United States by Japan in 1912.
But if you’ve ever tried to make your way down to the Tidal Basin to see the reflection of the blossoms in the water with the monuments in the background, you know that it can get crowded to the point that it’s no longer serene.

As true Washingtonians know, the Tidal Basin isn’t the only place where you can find blossoms, with locals spotting them from residential neighborhoods to shopping centers. However, there are a handful of spots in the area that still give you the aesthetic, dreamy views of the flowering trees similar to the Tidal Basin but away from the masses.
View this post on InstagramThe National Arboretum has 451 acres of forests, gardens, and meadows in Northeast Washington, D.C., where, in addition to showstopping flora like the plants at the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum, there are 40 cherry blossom trees placed along a three-mile route that visitors can follow via a self-guided tour.
Dumbarton Oaks Garden in Georgetown is another stunning outdoor space in Washington, D.C., where visitors can soak in the views of Cherry Hill. Renowned landscape designer Beatrix Farrand purposely placed several species of cherry blossom trees there to allow them to have a unique area without taking away from the splendor of the rest of the space.

If you’d like to see the cherry blossoms while walking, jogging, or biking, the Hains Point loop trail provides views of the Potomac River, the Anacostia River, and the Washington Channel for a little over four miles. It can get a bit crowded during cherry blossom season, but it is significantly less so than the popular Tidal Basin.

That Infamous 'Poop Cruise' Ship Is Still Sailing—But You’d Never Recognize Her Now
If you’ve spent any time on Netflix lately, you’ve probably seen the trending documentary Trainwreck: Poop Cruise. It revisits the 2013 nightmare where the Carnival Triumph was left powerless in the Gulf of Mexico, turning a tropical getaway into a literal biohazard zone that the world couldn't stop watching.
As a travel editor, I’m constantly sorting through cruise lore, and this is the story that just won't die. But here is the twist that most people don't realize: that ship didn't just sail off into the sunset or head to the scrap yard.
According to a deep dive by Cruise Hive, the "Poop Cruise" ship is actually still in service today—and she’s undergone one of the most expensive glow-ups in maritime history.
Related: Royal Caribbean’s 2016 Ship Is Getting a Major Luxury Glow-Up
From Triumph to SunriseAfter the 2013 incident, Carnival didn't just scrub the carpets; they fundamentally transformed the vessel. In 2019, the ship underwent a massive $200 million overhaul in Cadiz, Spain. This wasn't just a fresh coat of paint—it was a total identity shift.
The ship was officially renamed the Carnival Sunrise.
“The new Carnival Sunrise is part of our multi-billion-dollar ship enhancement program that is transforming our fleet on an unprecedented scale,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, at the time.
Beyond the new name, the investment went deep into the "guts" of the ship to ensure history never repeats itself. Here’s what that $200 million actually bought:
- Redundant Power Systems: New back-up generators to ensure that even if there’s an engine issue, the toilets keep flushing and the AC stays on.
- Modernized Tech: State-of-the-art fire suppression systems and upgraded engine room monitoring.
- A Total Facelift: She received all the "Fun Ship 2.0" features, including Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse, the RedFrog Pub and brand-new staterooms.
Related: Carnival Just Solved the Biggest ‘Time Tax’ of Your Cruise Vacation
Where is she now?Today, the Carnival Sunrise is a staple of the fleet, typically sailing 2- to 5-day itineraries out of Miami. She carries nearly 3,000 guests to the Bahamas and Grand Turk, and most passengers sipping a cocktail on the Lido deck have absolutely no idea they are standing on the deck of a former "trainwreck."
It’s a testament to how far cruise technology has come. While the 2013 headlines were a wake-up call for the entire industry, the resulting safety standards mean that today’s cruisers can enjoy those "sea days" with total peace of mind.
So, if you see the Sunrise on your next booking search, don’t let the documentary scare you off. She’s arguably one of the most scrutinized and reinforced ships on the water today.

The 4 Core Personality Traits of People Born on the 24th, Per Numerology
Does being born on the 24th mean anything? According to numerology, each birth date represents unique characteristics, strengths, and more. The numerological energy of 24 comes from the combined energies of 2, 4, and 6. Embodying this unique frequency gives those born on the 24th a caring, nurturing personality. Having this birth date means you’re a family-oriented individual who takes pride in building a kind community and prioritizes strengthening your connections. Read on to discover the numerological significance of 24, challenges to watch for, and four core personality traits that define you.
The Numerological Significance of Number 24Finding the numerological significance of 24 is easy. Begin with breaking 24 down into two single-digit numbers, which would be 2 and 4. Then add these numbers together to get 6. All three numbers—2, 4, and 6—come together to form the devoted, tender energy of 24.
The energy of 2 instills a strong emotional connection and attunement, which is stabilized by the gentle, dutiful energy of 4 and complemented by 6, which is known for being friendly, thoughtful, and intentional. These energies make up 24, so people who align with 24 are considered caregivers, true friends, and community leaders. They work tirelessly to maintain and sustain their connections. Family is everything to them, but they aren’t pushovers. People attuned with 24 are serious about their boundaries, expectations, and responsibilities, so they expect the same of their companions.
24’s is also guided by Venus, the astrological planet of love, beauty, and wealth. Being Venusian means prioritizing relationships that add value and beauty to one’s life. Venus also bestows fortune and abundance, so Venusians are generous to their loved ones. People who embrace their inner Venusian may feel called to Rhodonite, the “rescue stone” that amplifies compassion, forgiveness, and love.
Challenges to Watch ForPeople born on the 24th have gained emotional strength and resilience through their challenges. Their kindness wasn’t always appreciated, since these individuals may have struggled with boundaries, generosity, and reciprocity. Being considerate of others may have brought on an unexpected learning curve. People with this birth date may have learned that others will take advantage of their goodwill and compassion if given the chance. However, they might have brushed this off and opted to see the good in someone else against their better judgment. Over time, these issues would have led to feeling empathetically burnout, forgotten, and withdrawn. Although disappointing, they would have realized that being loving and caring requires boundaries. It might have been initially tough to put their foot down. Feelings like shame, guilt, and anxiety could have plagued them at first, but this will subside over time.

4 AARP Travel Perks You Probably Didn’t Know You Had
It is no secret that an AARP membership is the ultimate "cheat code" for travelers over 50, but as it turns out, most of us are only scratching the surface of the available perks. In a recent conversation with AARP Director of Travel at AARP Services Steven Guilday, he revealed that while many people join for the hotel discounts, the real "travel hacks" are hidden in the way you can stack benefits and navigate the high costs of bucket-list trips in 2026. As Guilday explains, "An AARP membership for you and a spouse is a whopping $20 a year... if you're not using your AARP membership, you're really missing out."
According to Guilday, the current trend isn't just about saving $20 here or there; it’s about a total shift in how we approach our "dream" itineraries. With travel interest surging post-pandemic, many seniors are refusing to put off their big trips, opting instead to "right-size" them—perhaps taking a 10-day trip instead of 14—to ensure they don't miss out on the mental and physical health benefits of getting away.
Here are the four most usable "insider" tips to help you stretch your travel budget:

1. The Holland America "Decade" HackIf you are planning a bucket-list cruise, your AARP membership can essentially pay for itself for the next 10 years in a single booking. For any Holland America cruise of 10 days or longer, members receive a $200 per stateroom credit for verandahs and suites (or $100 for inside/ocean view). Guilday points out that since a membership is only $16–$20 a year, that one $200 credit covers a decade of dues. It’s "found money" you can use for shore excursions or a spa day while you sail.

2. The ‘Premium’ Hotel Perk Seniors Are Sleeping OnIt’s easy to get lost in the sea of member benefits, but there is one specific hospitality hack that most people completely overlook because they associate the brand only with roadside motels. In reality, the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts portfolio includes more than 9,000 properties ranging from budget-friendly stays to the high-end Wyndham Grand and Registry Collection luxury resorts.
The "sleeping" perk here is a standing 10% to 20% discount off the Best Available Rate at any of these locations worldwide. While the 10% is a standard member benefit, the real pro move is the 20% "Select Member" rate, which typically applies when you book at least seven days in advance.
Most travelers assume this discount is just for a quick overnight stay on a road trip, but Guilday explains that the savviest members use it to "bookend" their most expensive vacations. By applying that 20% savings to a luxury stay in a departure city like Miami, San Diego or Barcelona, you are effectively subsidizing the rest of your trip. As Guilday puts it: "Probably the prudent thing to do is to go the day before and stay in a Wyndham hotel and save with a discount there as well... you can see how with good planning a member can actually leverage every mode of travel to get their discount."

3. The Hardest Discount to Find: AirfareOne of the best-kept secrets Guilday shared is the partnership with British Airways. While flight discounts are notoriously rare, AARP members can save between $65 and $200 on round-trip transatlantic tickets. Specifically, you can nab $65 off for World Traveller (Economy) or a substantial $200 off for Club World (Business Class). This is a "non-zero" saving that stays active even when there isn't a public sale running.
Guilday highlights that "Airfare is one of the few places it's really hard to get a true discount... and this is not something you'd have to wait for a certain sale on. You get this discount as an AARP member. It's tremendous."
4. The "Age 70" European BonusFor those looking toward late 2026 and 2027, there is a new international regulation to keep on your radar: the ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System). While most travelers will soon have to pay a fee to enter Europe, Guilday noted a specific silver lining for seniors: the application fee is officially waived for travelers aged 70 and above. It’s a small but meaningful "thank you" for your years of travel loyalty.
The Pro Strategy: ‘Stack’ Your SavingsThe real magic happens when you bring all these elements together. While many travel discounts are "one or the other," Guilday’s final pro tip is to always try to stack your savings. While you generally can’t use an AARP code on top of a military discount, you can often apply it to existing market sales.
If a hotel is having a seasonal promo or an airline is running a holiday special, try entering your member code anyway. "Stackability is challenging but possible," Guilday says. Whether you're layering a 20% Wyndham discount on top of a "stay longer" deal or using your British Airways savings alongside your $200 cruise credit, it’s always worth the extra 30 seconds of research to see if you can layer those perks. In 2026, the savvy traveler doesn't just use their benefits—they combine them to make the "impossible" bucket list entirely achievable.

U.S. Figure Skater Alysa Liu Makes Blunt Admission About Changing Her Appearance
Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu made a bold and honest statement about her appearance and identity.
In a recent interview tied to her growing partnership with Nike, the 20-year-old figure skating star shared that she no longer feels the need to say “yes” to everything, especially when it comes to changing who she is.
“These days, I say no to more things that I used to say yes to,” Liu said. “When I came back to figure skating, people said I would have to change my hair and I said, ‘No, I won’t be changing my hair.’”

The statement reflects a clear shift in mindset for Liu, who returned to competitive skating after a break with a renewed sense of purpose and control over her career.
Liu’s refusal to change her hair may seem simple, but in figure skating, appearance has long been part of the sport’s culture. Athletes are often expected to fit a certain image: polished, elegant and traditional.
Liu has challenged that idea.
From her distinctive hairstyle to her bold fashion choices, she has built a reputation for expressing herself freely. Her look has drawn praise from fans, especially younger audiences who see her as a symbol of individuality.
Her recent appearances off the ice, including a viral Oscars weekend look, have only strengthened that image. Fans flooded social media with reactions, many highlighting her confidence and unique style.
But for Liu, the focus is not about standing out for attention. It is about staying true to herself.
“People give me song suggestions, and I’ll take them into consideration, but if I don’t like something, I’m not going to skate to it,” she explained. “I want to make choices that feel like me.”
Liu’s comments come during a major moment in her career. After winning Olympic gold at the Milano Cortina Games, she became the first American woman in over two decades to achieve the feat.
Her journey has been anything but typical.
She first rose to fame as a young prodigy, winning a national title at just 13 years old. But the pressure of elite competition led her to step away from the sport as a teenager. When she returned nearly two years later, she did so with a different mindset; one focused on enjoyment and self-expression rather than expectations.
That approach paid off. Not only did she win Olympic gold, but she also became one of the most talked-about athletes in the world.
Now, with her new Nike partnership, Liu is stepping into a broader spotlight that blends sports, fashion and culture. The campaign features her wearing upcoming footwear releases and celebrates her journey from athlete to global personality.
Despite the growing fame, Liu remains grounded in her beliefs.
She shared that learning to trust her instincts has been key to her growth, not just as an athlete, but as a person.
“At the end of the day, if it’s not a ‘hell yes,’ it’s a ‘hell no,’” Liu said, describing how she now approaches decisions in her life and career.

Now, his journey on the road will officially end with one final concert on June 27, 2026, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, a place deeply tied to his career. The event, Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale, is expected to be a major celebration of his legacy, featuring top country stars.
Jackson has made it clear that this final show is personal. “We just felt like we had to end it all where it all started,” he said, pointing to Nashville as the heart of country music.
View this post on InstagramFor fans, Jackson’s retirement marks the end of an era. Known for his traditional country sound, he built a career that stayed true to classic roots while the genre evolved around him.
Over the years, Jackson has sold more than 75 million records worldwide and earned numerous awards, including Grammy wins and inductions into major music halls of fame. His songs like “Chattahoochee” and “Remember When” became part of everyday life for many fans.
Married to Denise since 1979, he often credits her support as a key part of his success.
As the countdown to his last concert continues, fans are holding on to both the excitement and the nostalgia. Now, with a granddaughter in his arms and a final show on the horizon, Jackson is closing one chapter and opening another.
