Nick Viall Says ‘Bachelorette’ Producers Had ‘No Idea’ How Bad Taylor Frankie Paul’s ‘SLOMW’ Edit Was
Nick Viall is sharing some insight into Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette season.
On Tuesday, Mar. 24, the former Bachelor broke his silence on the shocking cancellation of Paul's season during an episode of The Viall Files podcast. During a September episode of the show, Viallclaimed Paul being cast as the Bachelorette was his idea, and that he was the one to suggest it to production.
Paul began filming The Bachelorette in late October 2025. At that point, she had filmed seasons 3 and 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but neither had aired just yet. While season 3, which aired in November, was favorable to Paul, season 4—which dropped on Mar. 12—was not so kind to her.
"I haven't talked to anyone working on the show today, but my understanding of people who have talked to people, TheBachelor producers, maybe not at the highest level, but the people working on the show, were as equally surprised and as horrified to see what they saw on season 4," Viall claimed.
"People involved in making Taylor Frankie Paul's season of TheBachelorette had no idea what they were about to watch on season 4," he continued. "That this was an entire season about a woman who was having mental health struggles that was in this very toxic situation."

Season 4 of Secret Lives documented Paul's on-and-off relationship with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. Most of Paul's co-stars were unsupportive of the relationship, with several calling it "toxic" and expressing concerns for Paul's mental health.
In the season finale, Paul spent the night with Mortensen the day before leaving to film The Bachelorette, ultimately missing her flight the next morning.
Though both shows air on ABC and stream on Hulu and Disney+, Viall offered a possible explanation as to why Bachelorette producers were kept in the dark regarding Paul's negative edit on Secret Lives.
"Another thing I don't think people realize...You have Warner Bros. who produces The Bachelor, so they have a whole team of producers. That's their entity," Viall explained. "You have [Jeff Jenkins Productions] the production company that makes Secret Lives. Those are two completely different companies, completely motivations, completely different interests. They're not aligned."
"Disney is a distributor of The Bachelor. Disney is also the distributor of Secret Lives," he added. "They connect the dots. But those two production companies have completely different vested interests."

Paul’s season was scheduled to premiere on Sunday, Mar. 22. On Thursday, Mar. 19, ABC pulled the plug on her season after TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show Paul assaulting Mortensen in 2023.
In a statement to TMZ, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson said, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah also confirmed that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding Paul and Mortensen related to incidents that allegedly occurred in February 2026.
The spokesperson confirmed “allegations have been made in both directions” and that “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but declined to share any further details.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of domestic violence, help is available 24 hours a day through the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233.
Hardee's New Promotion Has Your Back If Your Breakfast Didn't Deliver
We've all had one: the breakfast that looked promising but left you hungry an hour later. Hardee's is leaning into that universal experience with a new limited-time promotion called Second Breakfast Insurance, designed to give disappointed breakfast eaters a second chance at starting their day right.
The campaign is built around the chain's new Frisco Breakfast Burger, a protein-packed morning sandwich meant to stand out from typical fast-food breakfast options. According to Hardee's, the burger delivers more than 40 grams of protein and is intended to keep customers satisfied well into the afternoon.
😋😋 SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter 🍳🍔
How Hardee's Second Breakfast Insurance WorksFrom March 23–31, members of Hardee's My Rewards program who feel let down by their breakfast can submit proof online for a free Frisco Breakfast Burger combo. Participants can either upload a receipt from a disappointing meal or even share a photo of what the company calls a "sad, unfulfilling breakfast."
Qualifying entries will receive a complimentary combo by April 3, giving customers a chance to try the new menu item while creating a playful marketing hook around the idea that breakfast should actually keep you full.
The promotion also taps into a growing trend of fast-food chains using creative giveaways and limited-time offers to generate buzz around new products, particularly in the competitive breakfast category.

A Breakfast Built to Stand ApartCourtesy Hardee's
The Frisco Breakfast Burger itself leans into Hardee's reputation for hearty menu items. The sandwich features an Angus beef patty topped with cherrywood-smoked bacon, egg, American cheese, and crispy hash rounds served on toasted sourdough bread.
It's an intentionally substantial approach to breakfast, especially compared to lighter grab-and-go options that prioritize speed over staying power. The company says its goal is to offer something filling enough that customers won't feel the need to search for another meal before lunch. As Sarah Breymaier, VP of brand marketing for Hardee's, put it, "We believe that the most important meal of the day shouldn't need a backup plan. The Frisco
Breakfast Burger was designed to keep our guests satisfied with significantly more protein than other breakfast sandwich options. Second Breakfast Insurance is our way of proving it."
The Frisco Breakfast Burger will be available for a limited time through April 14, giving curious customers a short window to see whether Hardee's breakfast "insurance policy" lives up to its promise.

'Bridgerton' Season 5: Will There Be a Time Jump for Francesca and Michaela's Storyline?
Netflix announced that Francesca (Hanna Dodd) and Michaela (Masali Baduza) will be the next Bridgerton love story for Season 5. Details of what fans can expect have been teased, with fans wondering how the storyline's timeline will work.
Season 4 of th Netflix series revealed one of Francesca's biggest storyline heartbreaks with the death of her husband, John Stirling (Victor Ali). It also further teases that something happened between Michaela and her while they were in Scotland, with the two having made amends before Season 4 ended.
All clues during the finale had fans believing Bridgerton Season 5 would finally give fans Eloise (Claudia Jesse) and Sir Phillip Crane's (Chris Fulton) long-awaited love story. Fans were eager to see their romance develop as Francesca dealt with her grief and the surprise finale twist of Michaela ditching Mayfair despite having promised her to stay. With everything Season 4 set in place, how will Season 5 address their timeline?
Will there be a Bridgerton Season 5 time jump?Yes! Netflix confirmed in their official announcement that Francesca and Michaela's storyline will take place two years after John's death.
There's more to the story, as Netflix also revealed that Francesca will re-enter the marriage mart due to practical reasons. What could they be? Details are unclear, with the possibility being issues of wealth, estate, or children. They do reveal that the return of Michaela causes Francesca to face her feelings.
"But when John’s cousin Michaela returns to London to tend to the Kilmartin estate, Francesca’s complicated feelings will have her questioning whether to stick to her pragmatic intentions or pursue her inner passions," they said.
The teaser for the new season revealed scenes that could have taken place in Scotland, with fans assuming they will likely do flashbacks to address what happened at the estate. Fans may remember that John admitted to knowing that Francesca and his cousin butted heads while at the estate, as if something transpired between them that they are trying to hide away.
A certain countess shall find love again...
Bridgerton Season 5 is now in production. Starring Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton and Masali Baduza as Michaela Stirling. pic.twitter.com/DFDQoyKmUW
The time jump may surprise fans, especially given that Eloise's storyline will now take place in Season 6 of the series. It begs the question of what will or has happened within those two years for Eloise, who began to see marriage in a different light during Season 4. Some fans can speculate that they will likely interject her storyline into the backdrop of the new season.
Could Eloise begin to write letters to Sir Phillip throughout Season 5? There are plenty of possibilities of how Bridgerton will address Eloise's story, with Season 5 already headed into production.
Traveler's Jaw Dropped at How Badly Major Airline Damaged Her Luggage and Had Audacity to Call It 'Minor'
There are no shortage of travel horror stories lately. And while most of them involve an uptick in long lines and cancelled flights, I still see plenty of passengers complaining about some of the old standbys. However, there definitely seems to be a rise in people dealing with damaged luggage of late. While I believe that a little wear and tear is to be expected when traveling, a lot of people are saying that the airlines they've flown on have actually destroyed their stuff.
For example, one woman said that Delta Airlines manhandled her luggage so badly during a recent trip, that the suitcase had to be wrapped in a plastic bag in order for her to transport it to her destination. Even worse? She says the airline only told her that her bag had sustained "minor" damage, which was proven to be an understatement once she was able to get a look at the suitcase.
@itsbabykelzi must know what happened for my suitcase to look like THIS?? 🤨 @delta
♬ original sound - Viral Music Hits Woman Claims Delta Airlines Destroyed Her BagA girls trip went awry for one TikToker who says that her bag was flagged as being damaged when she landed at her destination. The woman shared her story on social media, giving her followers a chance to watch as she unwrapped her silver suitcase, which had been wrapped in a white trash bag and labeled with a note when she arrived at baggage claim.
"Pas signed original tag for minor damage," the sticky note read. "Bag got more damaged going down the belt. Pax is requesting bag as is." However, the minor damage proved to be quite major once the TikToker started unraveling the wrapping, which is when she discovered that the suitcase was so badly dented that it could neither close nor stand up.
"I must know what happened for my suitcase to look like this," she captioned the video, which also featured the shocked reactions from her friends that she was traveling with.

People Shared Similar Experiences in the CommentsThe OP's followers were quick to share their stories, with one woman saying, "airports don't handle our suitcases well."
"I don’t want to know what major damage is," another wrote.
Meanwhile a third person joked that airlines have it out for Rimowa suitcases, which is what type of luggage the bag appeared to be. And they may not be wrong. Recently the rapper Chika had a similar experience with her Rimowa bag, which she said was destroyed by Delta. Adding insult to injury, Chika said that her bag was a limited edition one from the lux brand, and she was unable to get it replaced.
What Should You Do if Your Bag Is DamagedWhile Rimowa bags have a lifetime warranty and can be sent back to the company for repair, there are instances of other people who have faced similar issues with airline baggage handlers. So, what's a traveler to do?
Typically, you can get help with damaged bags by contacting the airline directly. While many have strict policies about what they will and will not cover (for example, Delta won't help if the damage includes your luggage's wheels) some airlines are really good about helping you get compensated for your bags, either replacing them at the airport, or sending you a refund when you file a claim, according to the company's website.
Of course, it helps to have documentation, especially if you're talking about expensive bags that you'll want to be reimbursed for. Fortunately, this TikToker appears to have all the evidence she'll need thanks to this video. Now, she just needs to decide if she wants to go back to Delta to file a claim, or to reach out to Rimowa directly.
This Fan-Favorite Mood-Boosting 'Social Tonic' Line Is Now Available at Target
The nonalcoholic beverage boom continues to gain momentum, and Hiyo is making a major move to meet that demand. The Los Angeles–based brand has announced a nationwide expansion with Target, bringing its line of organic "social tonics" to nearly 2,000 stores across the United States, as well as online.
The rollout significantly increases accessibility for shoppers seeking alternatives to traditional alcoholic drinks. Positioned as a "mindful moderation" beverage, Hiyo's canned drinks are designed to deliver a relaxed social experience—without any alcohol.

Each can contains zero alcohol and just 30 calories, appealing to consumers who want to cut back on drinking without sacrificing the enjoyment of a crisp, bubbly beverage.
Hiyo Nonalcoholic Social Tonic 4-Pack, $12.99 at TargetFour flavors are part of the Target drop—blackberry lemon, peach mango and watermelon lime will be available nationwide, while passion fruit tangerine (my personal favorite) will debut in roughly 200 select stores. The lineup emphasizes bright, fruit-forward profiles intended to mimic the refreshment of seltzer cocktails, but in a more functional, wellness-focused way.
What sets Hiyo apart in the crowded non-alcoholic space is its recipe. The drinks are made with a blend of adaptogens, nootropics and botanicals—ingredients often associated with stress relief and cognitive support. These include ashwagandha, L-theanine, lion's mane mushroom, lemon balm, passion flower and ginger. Together, they are designed to promote a subtle mood boost and a sense of calm, offering what the brand describes as "the float."

As someone who has tried all the flavors of the Hiyo line of beverages, I can confidently say they are refreshing, delicious, and provide a mid-afternoon pick-me-up when I need it most.
The Target partnership marks a significant milestone for Hiyo, which has rapidly expanded its retail presence over the past year. Co-founder George Youmans called the expansion a "huge vote of confidence," noting that it brings the brand closer to its goal of reshaping how people approach social drinking.
With millions of Target customers now able to pick up Hiyo during their regular grocery trips, the brand is positioning itself as a convenient, everyday option for parties, unwinding or simply trying something new and out-of-the-box.
As functional beverages continue to evolve, Hiyo's debut at Target underscores a clear trend—the future of social drinking is becoming more inclusive, health-conscious and alcohol-free. There's no denying that.

U.S. Ups Travel Advisory for Popular Spring Break Destination and I'd Honestly Reconsider Traveling There
When I first clicked on the latest travel advisory update, my heart sank just a little. Belize has become one of those tropical destinations that draw travelers with its promise of turquoise waters, laid‑back beaches, and that quintessential Caribbean vibe.
But with the U.S. Department of State now urging caution, especially around Belize City and other parts of the country, it’s time for a serious conversation about safety and travel planning. This is about understanding real risks so you can make smart, informed decisions that protect your trip and your well‑being.
Adventure starts with a click—sign up for our newsletter for travel tips and stories.
What the Updated Travel Advisory Means for Belize TravelersThe United States government’s travel advisory framework is designed to help you evaluate risk before booking a flight. Belize is currently listed at Level 2 – Exercise Increased Caution, which is a step above the baseline “normal precautions” most destinations fall under.
Level 2 doesn’t mean “stay home.” It means understanding the specific risks that make some areas more concerning than others. In Belize’s case, the advisory highlights violent crime, including armed robbery, home invasions, sexual assault, and gang‑related violence. What’s more, local police often lack the capacity to respond effectively, and many crimes go unresolved or unprosecuted.
For Belize City in particular, the advisory goes further: the south side of the city is a Level 3 zone, meaning travelers should reconsider making that part of their itinerary altogether. That doesn’t necessarily overlap with the well‑trod tourism areas like Ambergris Caye or Placencia, but it’s a stark reminder that safety does not always match a postcard image.
Related: CDC Issues Travel Advisories for Multiple Countries Over 1940s Disease That’s on the Rise
What Travelers Should Know Before Booking or BoardingIf you’ve already booked your spring break trip to Belize, don’t panic. But do take these advisories seriously:
- Be cautious after dark: The advisory specifically notes that walking or driving at night increases risk because of crime and limited emergency services.
- Register with STEP: The U.S. government’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program can send you critical updates and help the embassy reach you if needed.
- Be vigilant with valuables: Crime can occur even during the day in areas frequented by tourists, so don’t wear flashy jewelry or leave expensive gear unattended.
From a personal perspective, when an advisory like this crosses my desk just weeks before peak travel season, I always ask myself this: Is the experience worth the elevated risk? Being honest with that answer can save not just money but stress and vulnerability. Good travel is not only about wonder but also about peace of mind.
Beyond the Advisory: What Belize Still OffersHere’s the interesting twist: the areas most visitors go to, including the beach paradises of Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, and Placencia, are not the zones highlighted in the advisory. That’s an important nuance travelers often miss when they hear news about travel warnings.
Belize’s booming eco‑tourism, coral reefs, and Mayan ruins remain spectacular draws. It’s entirely possible to have an incredible, safe vacation if you’re informed, vigilant, and intentional about where you go and what you do.
For example, snorkeling the Blue Hole with a reputable guide, exploring ancient temples in the jungle, or joining a village food tour can all be unforgettable experiences, as long as you stay within established tourist circuits and follow safety guidance from local experts and official government sources.
Safer Spring Break Alternatives to BelizeIf the idea of navigating a Level 2 advisory has you rethinking your spring break plans, there are plenty of destinations that offer sun, sand, and adventure:
1. Cancun and Riviera Maya, MexicoWhile Mexico has areas with higher crime rates, Cancun and the Riviera Maya remain popular with spring breakers and families alike. Resorts and tourist areas are well-patrolled, and the region offers everything from pristine beaches to cenote swimming and Mayan ruins.
2. Puerto RicoFor U.S. travelers, Puerto Rico is a convenient option. No passport is required, the U.S. dollar is used, and health and safety infrastructure is familiar. From bioluminescent bays to historic Old San Juan, Puerto Rico offers vibrant culture with fewer international travel concerns.
3. Florida Keys or Gulf Coast, USAIf you want to stay stateside, Florida’s Keys, Gulf Shores, or Destin offer white sand beaches, clear waters, and lively nightlife. You can enjoy the sun without leaving U.S. jurisdiction, and emergency services, healthcare, and infrastructure are instantly familiar.
Ultimately, alternatives are about aligning adventure with peace of mind. I’ve learned that sometimes the best travel memories come not from the postcard-perfect location, but from knowing you were safe, present, and free to enjoy the experience.
Don't miss a beat—subscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.
What This Means For YouAdvisories like this one are not meant to make you cancel your passport or living room armchair‑explore forever. They exist to arm you with clear, factual, and timely information so you can make smarter choices.
If you decide to keep Belize on your bucket list, do it with awareness. If you choose to swap to a destination with a lower advisory level, make that choice boldly and without regret. Travel is about discovery, yes. But the best stories are the ones where you come home safe, informed, and richer in experience. Safe journeys are the most memorable of all.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Couple Goes Public With Real-Life Romance
Grey’s Anatomy co-stars Caterina Scorsone and E.R. Fightmaster are officially a couple.
The two confirmed their romance three years after their relationship arc played out on the long-running series from Shonda Rhimes.
View this post on Instagram Are Caterina Scorsone and E.R. Fightmaster Dating?Scorsone, who plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd, and Fightmaster, who plays Dr. Kai Bartley, were spotted in Los Angeles yesterday, March 23.
In images published by E! News, Scorsone can be seen sporting a short-sleeved green T-shirt stamped with the word “oui” paired with medium-wash jeans, while Fightmaster is dressed in a white button-down and brown pants. Both are wearing relaxed-fitting baseball caps and sneakers.
According to the outlet, the two held hands while leaving lunch at the Highly Likely cafe. Previous spottings with the two include a sighting at an Angel City FC game in 2023 and Elton John’s EJAF Oscars 2026 after party earlier this month.
On the screen, Scorsone and Fightmaster acted out a romance between Amelia and Kai during Seasons 18 and 19 of the ABC stalwart. Short-lived and doomed, the romance was killed off when Kai moved to London.
Why Did Caterina Scorsone and Rob Giles Split?Scorsone was previously married to musician Rob Giles. The two separated in 2020 after 11 years together. Though no clear reason was cited for the breakup, the two did offer a joint statement.
"Caterina and Rob have separated," People reported at the time. "They remain friends and are committed to co-parenting their children in a spirit of love."
They share three daughters: Elliza, 13; Paloma, 9; and Lucinda, 6. The actress first appeared in Season 7 of Grey’s. She plays the younger sister of the late Dr. Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey.
Meanwhile, Fightmaster was introduced in Season 18. The first nonbinary doctor in a recurring role on the show, their character worked at the Grey Center for Medical Research in Minnesota, where they, Amelia, and Meredith conducted research on a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
Why Did Amelia Take a Sabbatical?Neither Scorsone nor ABC has provided an official reason for Scorsone's sabbatical, but Deadlinereported that the medical series "had reduced the minimum guarantees for series regulars from 18 episodes per season to 14 during its 2024-25 season."
"That cost-cutting measure, which is common in other long-running shows, continued for the drama's 2025-26 season," People shared. "However, Scorsone will only appear in 10 of the 18 episodes."
In January, Scorsone returned to Grey's after a seven-episode absence at the end of 2025, People reported. Speaking with Shondaland, the actress spoke about her character's relationship with Kai.
View this post on Instagram“The Kaimelia situation was such a heartbreak for Amelia because they were such a beautiful match and they both had this really electric understanding of the brain and neurosurgery,” she said. "But life circumstances weren’t matching up, and there were all these externals that made it impossible. So since that heartbreak, she’s really been focused on medicine, which I think is actually the love of her life — her passion for the miracle of medicine and the human body."
Grey's Anatomy Season 22 airs new episodes Thursdays, at 10 p.m., on ABC. Episodes are available to stream on Hulu the next day, and the show is also available on Disney+.

1972 No. 1 Hit Became a Career-Defining Classic
In 1972, The Dramatics released a song that would become the defining hit of their career.
Their single, "In the Rain," soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles and crossed over to the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a major breakthrough for the group.
Written by songwriter Tony Hester, the song stood out for its haunting arrangement and emotional delivery. Built around the sound of falling rain and gentle instrumentation, "In the Rain" captured a sense of heartbreak and longing that resonated deeply with listeners.
The group was temporarily dropped from their record label, but the collaboration with Hester saved the day. "Tony had a creative thing for the Dramatics," said producer Don Davis in an interview with Billboard. "I re-signed the group because of the songs Tony presented to me. When we got together with him, 'In the Rain' stuck out as one of the songs we could rebuild the Dramatics with."
The Dramatics, originally formed in Detroit in the 1960s, were part of the rich soul tradition that helped define the era. Known for their sharp harmonies and theatrical stage presence, the group had already begun building a following, but "In the Rain" elevated them to a new level of success.
Interestingly, the song was reportedly inspired by a real-life moment Hester experienced during a rainstorm, which helped shape its vivid imagery and emotional tone. The track was later edited for radio play due to suggestive lyrics, but its core message remained intact.
"In the Rain" became the group's biggest hit and remains their signature song, helping to define their sound and legacy. The success of the single also paved the way for future hits like "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get."
Despite lineup changes, the result of key members like Ronald Banks' death in 2010 and L.J. Reynolds leaving the ground, The Dramatics have continued performing to this day. What's the secret to their longevity?
"There is no secret," Willie Ford shared in a 2002 interview. "It's the love we have for one another. We realized that we're better together than apart."
More than five decades later, "In the Rain" continues to endure as a soul classic, its gentle melody and heartfelt vocals still striking a chord with audiences today.

Internet's Favorite Grandpa Announces Devastating Lung Cancer Diagnosis in Tear-Jerking Video
To find someone with a true zest for life is a rare thing these days. So many of us are caught up in cynical news cycles, stressing about the many things there are to worry about. But others—those who have been around the proverbial block—know that the real secret to “winning” at life is approaching it with as much love as possible. That’s exactly who Kenny Jary, better known online to his 3.5 million TikTok followers as “Patriotic Kenny,” is at his core.
The loving Navy veteran first captured hearts when his neighbor Amanda Kline began posting videos of him in 2021 to raise money for a new electric scooter. His authentic kindness and genuine love of life earned him more than enough to purchase one. The two used an additional $20,000 to help 25 other veterans gain access to mobility scooters through his newly founded Patriotic Kenny Foundation. Over the years, fans have tuned in for a number of adventures, watching him enjoy one heartwarming moment after another.
However, on March 24, Kenny shared a more somber update with his loyal followers, announcing he had been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
@patriotickennyThe video we never wanted to make.
♬ Quiet Reflection - Unicorn From“So that’s the way it goes,” he said in his signature candor as tears welled in his eyes. “I mean, we can’t live forever. But I love you all, fans.”
Though he captioned the post “the video we never wanted to make,” he took time to thank his followers for supporting him over the past several years.
“I want to thank every single one of you across the United States, across the whole world,” he said. “I just don’t have enough words for what you did for me.”
The Veteran Left His Fans With a Positive Message“I’m not done with you yet! Because I plan on making some more videos,” he added.
In less than a day, the post racked up more than 12,000 comments from his devoted fans, all expressing their well wishes and support for the fight ahead.
“I’m actually in tears. He’s not my grandpa, but it really feels like it…” wrote one heartbroken fan.
“Patriotic Kenny, you hang in there,” encouraged another. “We’re sending all the love and power your way. My mother is in full remission after fighting stage 4 lung cancer at 82. You give it your all, and we will too. Thank you for changing our world.”
“This can NOT be happening… I’ve been watching forever,” added another. “We all love you, Kenny. Thank you for always making me smile and making me happy. I love you so much.”
As a fellow fan of Kenny’s, some of my favorite videos are his golden-retriever-like reactions to the world around him. The video where he got his first tattoo—and promptly vowed to get another—had me smiling from ear to ear. I also loved watching his mind get blown by a driverless car (honestly, I’d probably react the same way).
While Kenny is very much still with us and continuing to fight, I think it’s safe to say his legacy won’t just be what he’s done—but how he’s done it. Approaching life with that much love is genuinely admirable, and I hope I can age with as much grace and passion as Kenny has.
1984 Classic No. 1 Hit Ranked Among 'Greatest Love Songs' of All Time Became the Artist's Best-Selling Single Ever
One of Stevie Wonder's most heartfelt hits is getting the recognition it deserves as a timeless love anthem.
Released in 1984, “I Just Called to Say I Love You” has been ranked among the Top 3 greatest love songs of all time by Amazon Music, reaffirming its place as one of the most recognizable and emotionally direct ballads ever recorded. More than four decades later, the song still delivers a simple but powerful message: sometimes, love doesn’t need a specific reason—it just needs to be said.
The Song That Became His Biggest HitWhen “I Just Called to Say I Love You” dropped, it marked a new kind of success—even for Wonder. Written, produced, and performed by the musical prodigy himself, the song was featured in the film The Woman in Red and quickly became a global phenomenon. It topped the Billboard Hot 100, R&B, and Adult Contemporary charts simultaneously, while also reaching No. 1 in multiple countries around the world.
- Stayed at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for three weeks
- Became his only solo No. 1 hit in the UK, holding the spot for six weeks
- Won both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song
And perhaps most notably: it became the best-selling single of the "Superstition" singer's entire career, a rare feat for an artist already packed with big hits.
Related: 1974 Classic That Became a Timeless Love Anthem Hit the Charts 52 Years Ago Today
Why the Song Still ResonatesPart of the nostalgic, romantic charm of “I Just Called to Say I Love You” lies in its simplicity. The lyrics strip away holidays, special occasions, and grand gestures—leaving behind a pure, universal sentiment that can be used anytime. That message helped the song connect across cultures, languages, and generations, turning it into a global standard.
"No New Year's Day to celebrate / No chocolate covered candy hearts to give away / No first of Spring, no song to sing / In fact, here's just another ordinary day / No April rain, no flowers bloom / No wedding Saturday within the month of June / But what it is, is something true / Made up of these three words that I must say to you," the track expresses.
In the chorus, Wonder croons, "I just called to say I love you / I just called to say how much I care / I just called to say I love you / And I mean it from the bottom of my heart."
A Child Prodigy Turned Music LegendStevie Wonder’s story and career longevity speaks to his true talent. Born Stevland Hardaway Morris, he signed with Motown at just 11 years old and quickly earned the nickname “Little Stevie Wonder.”
By age 13, he made history as the youngest artist ever to score a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the decades, he evolved into one of the most influential musicians of all time, blending soul, pop, R&B, and funk into a sound that changed popular music forever.
With 10 No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, dozens of chart-topping singles, and a staggering collection of awards—including a whopping 25 Grammys (making history in 1974 as the first Black artist to win Album of the Year)—Wonder’s career is nothing short of legendary.
Taylor Hanson, 43, of Hanson Brothers Fame, Blows Fans Away in Solo Show: 'He Just Melts My Heart'
Taylor Hanson, who rose to stardom with his band Hanson, is blowing fans away in his solo show.
Hanson, 43, is best known as a member of Hanson alongside his brothers, Zac and Isaac Hanson. The trio skyrocketed to fame in 1997 with their hit "MMMBop," which topped the charts and catapulted their album, "Middle of Nowhere," to success, and even earned them three Grammy nominations. Just teenagers at the time, the Oklahoma-bred trio sold millions of albums and continued to achieve tremendous success throughout the following years.
In 2026, Taylor Hanson continues to thrive and recently blew fans away with his second headlining show at The Hotel Cafe. Looking more handsome than ever, the rocker sat at the piano and performed "Dream Girl" by Hanson. While years have passed since the band first hit the scene, Hanson's voice continues to be outstanding. Give a listen below as the musician knocked the socks off concert-goers:
View this post on Instagram Was Kat Dennings in a Hanson Video?Yes! Kat Dennings, best known for her role on 2 Broke Girls and in films like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, shared that she appeared in Hanson's 2013 music video for "Get the Girl Back" and called it one of the highlights of her career.
"To this day, it is probably my best, my biggest accomplishment in my career. And I'm not joking. This is called manifestation, folks," Dennings told Danielle Fishel in the Wednesday, Jan. 28 episode of the Teen Beatpodcast. As a teen, she even had collages of the band on her walls, so scoring a role in their video was a major win. "I was Pinteresting before Pinterest. I was vision boarding my life, my ceiling. Isaac's on my ceiling," she joked.
Check out the video, which also features Nikki Reed, below:
What Was Hanson's Biggest Song?We couldn't have a story about Hanson without reflecting on their biggest song, "MMMBop"! While the band has proven their talents go far beyond the hit, it's the one that skyrocketed them to success. It's hard to believe it's been almost thirty years since it debuted!

Beloved '70 Singer Says He’s ‘Learning to Breathe Again’ After Cancer Battle
Music icon Barry Manilowwas ready to hit the road at the start of 2026 with a new tour, but ultimately had to put things on hold following his cancer diagnosis. Following cancer treatment, the '70s singer wants to reclaim his strength and learning to "breathe again."
The "Copacabana" singer revealed in December the news of rescheduling his farewell tour after finding a "cancerous spot" in his left lung. Four weeks after his stage 1 lung cancer diagnosis, Manilow underwent treatment through a lobectomy. The procedure involved the removal of one lobe from his left lung.
The procedure has left Manilow trying to regain his strength, eating to gain back weight, and doing simpler workouts to get his body back in good condition. He admits that he's pulling himself "back together," but is unsure if he'll be able to "go to the next level," he told People.
It's also taken a toll on his iconic low-tenor voice, with the singer having been meant to resume his tour this April. He admits he's unsure if he'll have what it takes to get back on stage, with Manilow stating, "I have to be able to do the kind of thing I’ve always done without this one lobe."

Regardless, Manilow isn't letting anything stop him from getting better. He reveals he's undergoing vocal exercises and breathing lessons to be able to perform his setlist.
"I have to learn how to breathe again. Isn’t that crazy? It’s beyond frustrating. It’s just sad that I cannot do what I love doing, but maybe [by April 12] it’ll all be over and I’ll be able to go back to my old life," Manilow said.
"I have to get on that treadmill because I don’t want to throw it away. I want to know that if I can’t do it, I did everything I could do to go back on the road and do these 90-minute concerts. If I can’t do it, I want to know that it’s not because I didn’t try."
After Manilow revealed his cancer diagnosis in December, he revealed having been shocked by all the messages from fans. He admits he had no idea "there were that many people out there that even knew I was alive." The singer goes on to thank fans for the "beautiful" messages they sent and admits that "those notes and those people" made the tough experience "doable."

Jessie James Decker Celebrates Daughter’s Birthday In a Big Way
Singer-songwriter Jessie James Decker is more than just a celebrity. She’s also a mom. And like all of us regular parents, she also makes a pretty big deal about her kiddos’ birthdays.
The mom of four (with husband, former NFL player Eric Decker) recently took to Instagram, posting a sweet shout-out to her now-12-year-old daughter Vivianne Rose.
Born in 2014, the tween is Decker’s oldest daughter. The country-pop star’s clan also includes Eric “Bubby” Decker II (born in September 2015), Forrest Bradley Decker (born in March 2018), and Denver Calloway Decker (born in February 2024).
Decker shared a sweet sentiment for her little girl’s big day, writing on Instagram, “Happy 12th birthday to our beautiful baby girl Vivianne Rose. My favorite girl in the whole world, the girl who made me a mommy.” She went on to add, “Vivianne you are a force, the purest heart of gold, amazing sense of humor, thoughtful, strong, fierce, powerful, kind, my purpose!”
View this post on InstagramAlong with her birthday message, the celeb mommy also added a completely cute carousel of pics, including a sweet mother-daughter photo, a candid of her kiddo with a “12” cookie, a touching black-and-white baby portrait, and plenty of family fun.
As it turns out, Vivianne isn’t the only Decker with a March birthday. Dad Eric celebrated his special day early this month. While it’s not a major milestone, the wide receiver is one short year away from the big 4-0. And in honor of his 39th, Jessie posted, “Happy birthday my sweet man. We love you daddy,” and an adorable video featuring clips of Decker with his kiddos, dancing with his wife on the beach, and holding up his youngest child to blow out 3-9 birthday cake candles.
View this post on InstagramSpeaking of the littlest Decker, Denver also recently had his own big day. The proud parents shared pics of the toddler last February, captioning their post, “Denver’s 2!!! Happy birthday to our beautiful boy Denver Calloway Decker aka Nuggie. You are the sunshine of our lives.”
So, what did two-year-old Denver’s birthday party look like? Of course, it was a major family affair. Mom, dad, his two big brothers, and big sis Vivianne are pictured enjoying a Toy Story-themed day. The carousel also included a cuddly baby pic of a newborn Denver snuggling with mom, the baby and his dad soundly sleeping in a heartfelt black-and-white shot, and the tot blowing out his own birthday cake’s candles (no help from dad required!).

On This Date in 1973, The O'Jays' 'Love Train' Hit the Top of American Music Charts
On this day in 1973, the O'Jays' classic R&B single "Love Train" officially climbed to the top of the American music charts.
Debuting on December 20, 1972, "Love Train" quickly became one of the most popular proto-funk pop songs of its era.
Written by the powerhouse writing team of Kenneth Gamble and Leon A. Huff, the song managed to enter the Billboard Hot 100's top 40 by January 27, 1973. That exact same day, the Paris Peace Accords were officially signed the U.S. and the North and South Vietnamese governments, effectively ending America's involvement in the Vietnam War.
Released amidst the frostiest days of the Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, "Love Train" specifically called for peace among the various worldwide nations, with Russia, England, China and Israel mentioned by name in the song.
On March 24, 1973, the song entered the number one spot at the top of Billboard's Hot 100. The first and only song the O'Jays ever released that earned such a distinction, the song also entered number one on the R&B Singles, as well as reaching number nine on the UK singles chart.
In 2006, "Love Train" was formally inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, joining a long line of similarly prestigious pop songs from the 1970s.
Today, it's often hailed as a masterpiece of '70s R&B, with many publications including it on their list as one of the best, most influential songs ever released.
"The timeless message of 'Love Train' is that if we pull together, we can make things better for everyone," said O'Jays singer Walter Williams. "It went to number one and is still the biggest song we’ve ever done. I never get bored of it."
"Maybe the success of 'Love Train' marked a brief moment of national optimism, a fleeting hope that things could be better," wrote Stereogum. "Or maybe it was just a catchy song, from a veteran group who were finally getting their due."
